Orlando, FL– As we await the latest document dumps and Florida Bar Inquiry Response on Jose Baez’s behalf by his counsel, Timothy Chinaris, and in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, we focus on the SHAMROCK. Downingannie

Shamrock

(noun) slang, an underage female who not only insists that she is the age of majority, but tries at great lengths to snare older men for experience. Or in this case, several, of any age and any occupation.

(Verb)
(1) To screw someone over; scam.
(2) To inflict severe injury upon someone as leverage to facilitate the extortion of money.
Shamrock” is most frequently encountered in the passive, as in, “you have been shamrocked.

ie: You believe a woman that says an imaginary babysitter took her child a month earlier. She is found 6 months later in a garbage bag by her home. You have been “shamrocked”.

ie: You made donations you thought were going to finding a missing 34 month old Florida girl, Caylee Anthony. You have been “shamrocked”.

The Shamrock Lanyard

According to Cindy Anthony’s statement to detectives, Lee recovered the lanyard with Casey’s backpack:

“…There was one thing missing that I had in a bag and I made mention of that… Casey had a lanyard (this was in her work bag- there was no clothing bag) in her work bag that had Amy’s resumes in there – cuz it had an envelop with Amy’s resumes. Casey had a lanyard that had the Universal Studios ID- her original one from when she worked at Kodak, there’s a shamrock with white beads on it with a big one… it was not there the next day. It was there that night, but not there the next day. Casey was never left alone to go get that. Because Lee and I walked her into her bedroom, when we came home that night. Walked her right past everything. She didn’t even know what we/I had taken out of the car. Cuz I had it over by the washer and dryer and I have an ice chest we have setting off to the side. From the point when we called 911 she was never left alone by deputies. So she couldn’t have taken it out. Lee didn’t take it. I didn’t take it. It was missing by the time people came back to take the car and the stuff that was in it. Because I left it in her bag. When I went back to the bag to write the stuff down on the sheet, it wasn’t there. So somebody took it that Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. It had to be (LE) but it wasn’t listed in the items. Someone had to have taken it. If you guys have it, it should have been with the stuff.

You would have taken it w/out my knowledge…”

Translation: We are going to see this lanyard again. Whether it has been recovered already in evidence and it has not been made public or it comes up in some nefarious finger pointing way, this will be the crux of the next blame game. Recall that Sean Daly gets the call late night of the 15th that he misses, and the lanyard goes poof according to Cindy. Could this be why:

Yes, you guessed it, this lanyard was worn by none other than BFF to Casey, and on the Guest List for her trial, tentatively scheduled for October 12, 2009, Sean Daly. Pictured Below is Sean and friends at last March’s Lake Vaj O’ Blast.

LakeVag-1boc

Not the Lanyard, and inside sources say is also missing, what really hung on her rear view.

My apologies in advance for those of us that when reflecting on the image of the beloved *shamrock* today; it is in no longer our symbol of all that is Irish goodness and luck.  But instead, the back tat of a woman urinating in a parking lot and possibly the fodder for use in getting out of a murder rap for her child.

HI BLINK..OK.. THE TIME IS SOOOO RIPE FOR YOU TO UNCOVER AND REVEAL THE TRUE IDENTITY OF CAYLEE’S FATHER!…

FYI..FINALLY, TONIGHT ON NANCY GRACE THE SHOW OPENED WITH THE “BOMBSHELL NEWS” THAT 1) LEE IS NOT THE FATHER OF CAYLLE AND 2)THAT THE FBI ACTUALLY TESTED LEE’S DNA WHICH PROVED THAT LEE WAS NOT THE FATHER….

DUHHHHH?! THAT ” BOMBSHELL NEWS” WAS MORE THAN A MONTH OLD AND, OF COURSE YOU ALREADY REPORTED THAT EVIL LEE WAS NOT THE FATHER OF CAYLEE!..(OOPS, NANCY GRACE, YOUR’E A DAY LATE ON THAT “BREAKING NEWS”.)…

ANYWAY, TIME TO SET UP AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH THE PARENTS OF JESUS ORTIZ ..THE PARENTS NEED TO GET A COURT ORDER FOR A DNA TEST TO DETERMINE IF JESUS WAS ,IN FACT, THE FATHER…IF SO, THE PARENTS COULD THEN FILE A CIVIL SUIT FOR WRONGFUL DEATH AGAINST CASEY ( AND MAYBE ALSO AGAINST CINDY AND GEORGE FOR FOR THEIR PASSIVE PARTICIPATION IN CAYLEE’S WRONGFUL DEATH)…

SOMEONE NEEDS TO START DEPLETING CASEY’S “LISENCING FEES” DEFENSE FUND… THANKKKKKS! IVOIRE

  2. Gigi says:

is mr. ortiz deceased? is he the gentleman killed in the car crash that casey has referred to on occasion? so, where is the shamrock that hung on the rear view mirror of the car? and, where is the disney i.d.? what do all the sleuths think out there? i am baffled, for once. blink, thanks for all you do. you’re terrific.

  3. OnePercenter says:

    Hey Blink,
I luv the way you think..oh a rhyme, but isn’t it all? I think I know where you are heading with this. Cindy mentions the Lanyard for a reason. Everything the Anthony’s say is for a reason. Even Cindy’s rant, “My Caylee is Missing”, is for a reason. The shamrock will show up maybe even at 8715 Brackenwood. Could be? Or with Caylee’s remains.

  4. Annals says:

The parents of Jesus Ortiz were questioned by Florida local news reporters this summer. They said that they know nothing about their son fathering Caylee. Whether or not he is Caylee’s father, it makes complete sense to me that they don’t know anything about it.

Perhaps the Ortiz family has the good sense to stay far away from this sink hole of a murder case.

  5. Greg says:

I doubt Casey knows which one night stand was Caylee’s father.
Probably impregnated at a orgy? In some pictures it shows Casey at a naked party! SWINGER!

  6. Justice for Caylee says:

Yeah, can the Ortiz’s step up and get the dna test done already. This would clear up whether Casey is lying again or not. As of for the shamrock lanyard, are you saying that whoever has it is the one they’ll accuse ‘cuz I still think these sleezy guys Casey slept/hung out with may have helped her little plan or made suggestions for her to pick up on. Back to the dna thing, couldn’t one of the television stations pick up the tab to get the dna test. Anyone out there who slept with Casey (kid born August 9th, 2005) during the time period of late NOvember to end of December, that could possibly be the father should take the dna test. These shows spend so much on trying to get dirt, why don’t they use their money to get the test done. I agree with the blogger who said that the paternal family should step up. Maybe, they still don’t know…It is so sad that there is no family sitting there on the prosecution side for Caylee.

  7. Greg says:

My theory is Casey used drugs to keep Caylee in a deep sleep why she went to swing parties. A hair sample from Caylee would show what drugs and when Caylee was given the drugs. That would put Casey in the death penalty box.

  8. Scarrlett says:

What does this particular shamrock have to do with? Is there something sinister in the disappearance?

Why would someone hide a cheap dime store item? Was it attached to the Kodak ID?

It is a shame that Casey did not go back to work there. They liked her and the majority of the pictures we see today were taken by Casey and I gotta tell ya…..They are pretty good. She did indeed have a talent for it. I have to wonder at what point did the worm turn??

Nothing good ever comes out of drugs and alcohol……JMO

  9. no excuses says:

I think the father of Caylee is someone who was married, like a married cop…..Could explain their lack of attention trying to find poor Caylee who was right under their noses. That lack of attention will cost them the conviction, watch and see..

I heard an Amber Alert went out on a missing child in NY. The child was found within that same day. PErhaps Florida needs to get some competent professional investigators who takes missing children and adults seriously…..Florida is backwards and about 25 yrs behind the times,,,,,Wake the hell up!

  10. no excuses says:

Caylee is NOT of mixed race, so Ortiz is not the father,,,,,,JMO

  11. no excuses says:

Did they find Jennifer K yet? OR those missing NFL players?????? Doubt it!

  12. no excuses says:

Haleigh?…Perhaps LE there should do their own Drug investigations instead of putting others at risk!!!

  13. no excuses says:

If they were doing their jobs they would’ve arrested the A’s by now for obstructing justice! How can one family make fools out of sooo many??? Did they pull a DNA on any of the OCSD cops??? AFter all Casey was with half of the squad! Come on FBI,,,,hope you are thinking out side of the box!!

  14. My opinion says:

Has anyone compared pictures of Caylee w/ JO? we’ve all seen plenty of pictures of Caylee, there is a picture of J.O. on scared monkeys blog, cast of characters and her men. He IMO does not look like he could be her father. Dimple chins from what I’ve seen are a dominant trait. Caylee’s father had to have recessive genes, the baby looked just like her monster mother.

  15. Blink says:

That is an excellent point my opinion, I researched that and if she were to have that “trait” she may have been too young to see it yet.

That being said, JO as the Father is my opinion, I may be wrong of course.

  16. IVOIRE says:

    HI BLINK…

EVEN THOUGH I THINK YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT J.O. BEING THE FATHER, IF YOU LOOK AT PHOTOS OF JP CHATT, CAYLEE LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE HIM..I DON’T EVEN KNOW IF JP KNEW THE HO-CASEY THEN??..AMY STATED IN HER RECORDERD INTERVIEW THAT JP HATES CASEY ( AND HE WOULD HAVE A REASON TO IF HE HAD A ONE NIGHTER WITH CASEY WHEN HE WAS RICARDO’S ROOMATE)…

YOU JUST HAVE GOT TO GET THE “BOMBSHELL EXCULSIVE” TO REVEAL THE TRUE IDENTITY OF LITTLE CAYLEE’S FATHER!!!

  17. Resolution says:

I may get ‘reemed’ for this, but in all honesty #10, LE cannot be blamed for not solving this earlier when Caylee was not reported missing until 31 days later.

  18. Gigi says:

#10: i agree with you, i am so afraid all the bungling of the evidence and failure to follow up on leads will allow casey to walk free. i don’t believe caylee will ever be avenged.

  19. Kleat says:

#10, yes that was Cindy’s big beef with LE not putting out an amber alert, and she argued with investigators on the interview video about ‘precious moments… precious moments’ lost by no immediate action by LE. Any Amber alert would have come 31 days too late, 31 days that Casey did not report her daughter missing, and what about Cindy’s own contribution after she retrieved the car and smelled what she thought was something ‘dead’ in the D^&% car. Cindy went back to work that afternoon, because she had things to do at work!!

An Amber alert would have been completely irresponsible– these are immediate alerts, not month-later alerts. Casey could have called 911 and an Amber Alert would have been possible in the first hours the child was missing.

‘No Excuses’ should read what an Amber Alert IS and is not, and how it works.

  20. Kleat says:

Shamrock and the photo of Sean Daly wearing the lanyard. This looks like the same bare chested male shown grabbing Casey’s breast in yet another party photo. I hadn’t noticed before, but the tattoos on Sean’s left arm show what look like, not one, but 2 Shamrocks. (And there are two little simple red heart images too, in the mish-mash of inked icons)

Could it be important that Casey also had a shamrock tattoo ‘because’ of a relationship with Sean Daly or visa versa? And the lanyard was just another shared symbol? Maybe the lanyard was Sean’s to begin with, and given to Casey later. Could Sean Daly be Casey’s original “Irish Interest”??? (naw, Sean is far from an Irish name!!!! ;)

  21. cecybeans says:

Did Lee say in his interview with LE (first doc dump I believe) that at one point he and KC were sitting out in the garage – by the door steps or something – talking before LE arrived? It seemed like that was the part of his story where she realized that LE would make her produce Caylee when they arrived – the “light bulb” moment Lee mentions.

I always thought it was a bit vague where they had their conversation – originally I thought it was in her bedroom while Cindy was making all those calls, but if they moved at some point into the garage and Cindy was not present, couldn’t KC have easily taken the lanyard and either hidden it in her room or given it to Lee? Particularly if she had come to the conclusion there might be an actual investigation conducted by LE?

So Cindy’s story has all kinds of holes in it, imo. If Lee said that (and I will recheck) about the garage it directly contradicts her story that KC was marched past the evidence and never had unsupervised access to it (I don’t count Lee or any other Ant as supervision).

  22. NoseyRosey says:

The Anthony’s aren’t going to get away with everything they’ve done. When Prosecutors get a conviction for Casey it will strengthen their case against the A’s and they’ll have charges brought against them for obstruction- all in good timing.

  23. cecybeans says:

Okay, I am going nuts I guess. I reread the first transcript of Lee’s LE interview and it sounds like he and KC were in the bedroom the entire time. I called a friend who has followed this from the beginning and they seem to remember Lee also mentioning he was talking with KC in the garage at some point. Maybe in a media interview or another taped conversation? Anyone out there remember something like that? If not, I guess it’s time for me to call the guys in the white coats…

  24. cecybeans says:

Okay, I am nuts. And wrong. Lee says on page 48 of that transcript that he was sitting inside the garage with KC as LE had separated KC from her parents. It was where they had the dead squirrel talk. Lee does not mention LE being with them and also mentions he has to keep going in and out because the smell is so bad. I can’t imagine if the smell was that bad that LE would have been right there with them in the garage.

  25. Kleat says:

#23, NoseyRosey, if you read the most recent news reports (yesterday), subpoena’s have been issued and the media has copies, so this apparently minimizes the chances of Lee or his parents, being charged with anything. Some comment by Lee’s attorney to that effect, but haven’t read a direct quote.

  26. cecybeans says:

I’ve read theories in other places that the state and LE might think it’s not in the best interest of the immediate case to charge the Anthony family at this point – it might give the defense additional room to plant reasonable doubt if there are accessories or obstructors. There might be all kinds of things we don’t see in this trial because they would water down or distract from the focus on KC – unless they are absolutely necessary to obtain the murder conviction.

I think they might just wait until the conviction and then use the evidence they already have and any additional inculpatory evidence that is brought to light in the trial to go back and charge any ancillary players. By that time the spotlight will be off the “grieving grandparents” and it may be clear to all just how much they obstructed swift justice in this crime. I doubt any statute of limitations will be crossed by that point.

  27. new says:

cecybeans they where sitting in the garage by them selves for a moment probably waiting to be interviewed or already had been interviewed. Casey was home that noc She wasn’t arrested until the next day. Could have been after LE had left. Isn’t it funny no one mentions the Odor of the car in their interviews that noc that we can read except Lee. I always wonder why the obivious was not questioned that noc. or the next day. I wonder what the family talked about that noc after LE left.

  28. new says:

Isn’t it that in Flordia if your a wittness for the Prosecution you have immunity for anything you say on the wittness stand? Wasn’t that LA’s Lawyer concern when LA was not on the initial wittness list. LA I believe is on the last wittness list.

  29. new says:

Just a funny, they should do a Whose the Babies Daddy like they did with Anna Nicole. Line up for your fifteen minutes of fame. If KC is convicted in this case it will be the grandparents or the father that can profit from any royalities. I believe.

  30. Scoop says:

I believe that Caylee was killed in a rage… maybe right there at the park, and she left her there. I think that Casey flew off in a rage and took it out on Caylee. Where do we go when we’re kicked out of our homes? Not, very far. I don’t think Caylee laid in the trunk of that car, conscious or unconscious… only in death.

I believe she may have tried to bury her in the back yard, under the playhouse but had to move her… At any rate, I think this was a rage killing that happened suddenly. I believe they were alone and I believe she died over night from internal bleeding. There was only one person ‘huffing’ and it wasn’t Caylee… and it appears there may be more than one person that Casey told.

    .

Other than the fact that Caylee’s father may have civil rights which have been violated, I don’t think that it’s important who her father was. If Caylee is Jesus’ daughter, how sad it must be to be his family and find that you’re son had a child who suffered a horrible death at the hands of her mother. In some cultures, it’s a sin to have a child out of wedlock… besides, it would be a blessing and a curse. Sad, indeed. Especially, in having anything to do with the Anthony’s.

    .

    Justice for Caylee!

    .

How do we win our money back?

  31. Gigi says:

blink, may i ask a stupid question? what is a lanyard and what does this have to do with the case? and the shamrock……what is the significance of it. i have followed this case in detail from the very beginning and i do recall that lee said they were in the garage talking and he mentioned the car and casey gave him the story that a dead squirrel was in the undercarriage from one time when george drove the car……..anyone remember that?

  32. Kleat says:

ORIGIN late Middle English lanyer, in the general sense [a short length of rope or line for securing something,] from Old French laniere. The change in the ending in the 17th cent. was due to association with yard (as measure).

Common use of a lanyard today is a cord attaching an ID badge, or a whistle and worn around the neck or over a shoulder. The lanyard was probably made out of a shamrock costume jewellery necklace, or maybe something that was hand-beaded (?) to use for the Universal ID badge.

  33. Scoop says:

    Hey, Blink:

    I just watched Nancy Grace.

    Now that’s movin’ on up!

Sounds to me we got a death penalty case…

    .

    Justice for Caylee :)

  34. Robin D. says:

casey has disclosed in her “DEATH DIARY” everything regarding killing her precious 2 year old daughter. It was to PUNISH her mom and to PROTECT her from Cindy..OK, now if this evidence is FACTUAL..Then how in the hay is Casey Anthony INNOCENT per Jose Baez’s interview on GMC? He claims Casey was innocent and she had been set up. IS Casey going to claim her Mother, CINDY ANTHONY did the crime and she’s taking the rap? If I were Cindy I would be more worried about the habitual LIES Casey tells rather than trying to win an award for Mother of the Murderer of the Year! This family is SOOOOOOO dysfunctional..way beyond the norm. I can’t wait until they are all charged. I would make their profer’s only relevant to the details in which they gave statements on, ONLY! The law is the law and those who break it should be broken from breaking it AGAIN!

  35. tina says:

i missed most of the NG show last night but i caught the last 20 min. when Nacy said somthing about the death diary having talking about casey telling about her killing caylee and why, would someone tell me what happended and what Nancy Grace said about it.i looked on her website but did not see anything and pulled up wesh as well as blinkoncrime website but saw nothing, i too have been following the case from the beginning and anyone would have to be blind to not see casey is guilty of killing calyee and did it on purpose. saw on oone website where baden’s husband made a slip of the tounge saying chemicals had been found in caylee’s hair, saying it was chloriform

  36. dddeerma says:

Blink, do you know anything about additional diary pages? This is so crazy, who leaves a diary telling how and why you killed your 2 y l baby? But then, who has parents who don’t care that you killed their grandchild?

  37. Brenda says:

NG called the missing pages from her diary “THE DIARY OF DEAT”. Supposely CMA wrote about how she had planned on killing caylee for some time. She referred to the killing as a “MERCY KILLING’, to save caylee from cindy. She also wrote about CHLOROFORM & PESTICIDES. They said she supposely wrote the day before & after the killing.

  38. Gigi says:

#37: tina: i watched nancy grace last night. the gist of the new info is that several pages were ripped out from the diary LE recovered when searching the house after the remains were found. they appear to be the pages to the left of the diary entries with the date 2003 at the top of the page. apparently the pages describe the murder in detail and the reasons for it, including mentions of chloroform and household pesticides. allegedly the diary states that she performed a mercy killing as she didn’t want caylee growing up under the influence of her mother, cindy. nancy grace did not indicate who had the pages or how they were recovered. also, nancy grace indicated that this is speculation and no one has actually seen these pages.

  39. dddeerma says:

Somebody has to have seen these pages to know what was in them. After the body was found, LE went back to the A house looking for pesticides and took containers and sprayers into evidence. There are innumerable things that can be used to cause death, they had to have a reason for going after pesticides.

  40. Kleat says:

Please keep Nancy Grace ‘in context’!!! It’s sensationalism and incomplete ‘journalism’ at best. NO investigation at all, they do not even require guest ‘experts’ to review the topic material of the night to prepare because they do not care if the expert bases their comment on inaccurate information that increases sensationalism. (burito photos– expert commented as if these were taken during June/July, yet if the expert had seen the photos and had familiarized herself with what Casey looked like with hair far too short and layered to be near last summer at all, which friend was in the photos (Annie) who was not hanging out with Casey during this time, the ‘expert psychologist’ could have seen as easily as NG, MW and her staff, that this was photo taken months, if not a year or so before last summer’s party times).

And we are way off topic for the Shamrock Lanyard story.

  41. Kleat says:

The “NEW” info that NG has been putting out this week, read carefully how they word the headline with just ‘uncovered’ that the FBI did DNA paternity for Lee. Hello!!!– that information was in the documents released in mid February, that shows how slow the CNN staff are in reading the fresh material– took them a month to find this! I don’t think it really took them that long, they just held off and found a way to write a headline that on first glance, looks like brand new stuff. It’s not. NG is NOT a primary source of information. Blink is getting her information from ‘primary sources’ (people, original document sources vs news stories), investigating, putting things together, speculating when she has a well thought out theory (or two or three alternates) and when she does speculate on a theory, she tells her readers right up front, provides document sources if not copies within the article.

If Blink hasn’t seen the diary any more than we have, she’s not going to rehash and speculate unless she has more. That’s why NG will have the entertainment value and ratings over investigative reporters any day. But a tradition of excellent investigation documentaries, especially in the Canadian tradition, can work to change lives and be a benefit to individuals and to society. (and no wonder that Blink has connected to someone grown in that Canadian tradition!)

    JMHO

  42. Blink says:

    Thanks all-

On the diary issue, you are all correct that I do not intend to promote rumor, unsubstantiated or otherwise. If I cant confirm it, does not go up here, ever. This is not going to be “that” site. I have held onto some of the articles contained here for WEEKS before they were ready because I felt the sourcing was not strong enough.

So, no comment on the diary speculation but I will be the first to say I doubt the state would rip journal entries out of the book and present that discovery seperately as if to appear as some columbo moment. It would backfire and Linda and Jeff are smarter than that.

    Blink

  43. Gigi says:

well, what i mean when i say no one has seen the diary pages yet, is that the reporters who regularly appear on nancy grace said that they had not seen the diary pages and no one that they talked with had seen them, either. i think cindy or lee may have torn out the pages, if they do exist. and if they do exist, where are they and who has them? blink, i appreciate your discretion and adherence to legal ethics and your restraint when facts do not back up the story. i totally agree, wild speculation and over stating the facts of this case does not help to discover the truth of what happened to caylee.

  44. Kleat says:

    Refreshing … thanks Blink!

  45. dddeerma says:

Dear Blink, not suggesting that LE had done anything like rip pages out of the diary. Just hoping that you would have heard something one way or the other on the authenticity of the new pages. If not, not.

  46. Annals says:

I just read through this thread and WOW; Thanks Kleat. You have just written everything I have known and resented about Nancy Grace. There is plenty of scandle and scullduggery in the Anthony case. We do not need to be fed twisted information by NG. That just gives the bad guys good footing to say “See, the media tell lies about us.” And they’re right!

Please; anyone who watches Nancy Grace please reread Kleat’s comment #42; and keep Nancy Grace in context.

  47. Scoop says:

I, certainly, hope that if this turns out a little different than most people suspected; they won’t abandon the victim in this case. Casey is the liar, not Nancy Grace. Besides, in my opinion; everyone got it right… The Anthony’s are screwed!

    Say Bye-Bye, Casey…

  48. Scoop says:

    Annals:

Thanks… I, for one, read it.
But it doesn’t address the diary
nor the entries on the day Caylee died,
    or the ones after.

We need to take a closer look at our
posts in the very beginning of the case.
