Haleigh Cummings Case: The NEW Bounty Hunter “COBRA”

Posted by BOC Staff | Amber Alert,Crystal Sheffield,Haleigh Cummings,Missing Persons,Misty Croslin,Ron Cummings | Friday 20 March 2009 11:25 am

Satsuma, Fl- Just when we have learned to cringe at the thought of yet another bounty hunter getting in the middle of the case of a  missing child like some pavlov’s public response, this time , some say maybe that’s exactly the what may be necessary to find the answers as to what happened to missing Florida girl, Haleigh Cummings.

Big Willie Staubs

Big Willie Staubs

Bounty Hunter William Staubs by all accounts appears to be a legitimate Bounty Hunter, who is very well connected in the areas of Law Enforcement and may have thwarted a domestic terror attack

In an interview with 97.3 FM The Sky Radio, William “Cobra” Staubs claims to have been on the ground in Satsuma Florida since the early days of this case, following Haleigh’s presumed abduction February 10, 2009.

According to TJ Hart, the interviewers notes, these are  the Highlights:

  • Ron and Misty initially were both onboard.
  • Misty got cold feet, but was urged at vigil for Haleigh by others there to do it.
  • They were about to get the re-enactment underway when Misty balked again.
  • Misty said she didn’t remember things  – didn’t want to do it at all and got angry
  • Ron got angry at Misty – talked about it with Cobra at Memaw’s over some sweet tea.
  • Cobra told Ron about “Greg” – a young African American male with whom Misty was rumored to have been having sex
  • Cobra said Ron confirmed that he knew all about “Greg”
  • Cobra asked Ron why he married Misty anyway
  • Ron replied that “she is the only tie he has to Haleigh and that he will keep her until Haleigh returns”
  •

Cobra claims to have nearly coaxed Misty Croslin, the then girlfriend of Ron Cummings into doing a “re-enactment” of the evening Haleigh was abducted from the home. He states Ron was willing and encouraged Misty to participate and when she balked after saying she would, the couple argued and she stormed off.  Cobra goes on to say that Ronald Cummings told him he knows all about the affair that Misty had been having with a man named Greg, and he married her anyway.

When asked by Cobra why he would marry her if he knew she was with this “white boy Greg” Ronald Cummings replied “You keep your friends close you keep your enemies closer.”

misty has to have something to do with the disappearence of haleigh. she is acting guilty to not be involved herself. either she was not there, had gone out and haleigh turned the kitchen light on and saw misty was not there and she went outside looking for her, got lost and fell in the water and drowned. hope this is not what happened but this little girl is missing and no one has seen her except for misty the night she got gone. she was the last person to see her. haleigh no matter what happened is in a bad situation with both the mother and father a drug user as well as the step mom, both kids need to be taken away from all of them and put in a foster home.

  2. Gigi says:

could the young black male that misty was rumored to be having an affair with be the same gentleman that junior was talking about? at first junior said a man dressed in black took haleigh but later changed his story to be a black man dressed in black took my sissie. could this be the man?

  3. Annals says:

Thanks for this one Blink. I’ve thought that Chrystal Sheffield comes across as the more sober parent. Listening to the Cobra; it sounds as if Ronald doesn’t set the bar very high as far as sobriety is concerned. I don’t think the Cummings household is a safe place for a kid.

  4. Robin D. says:

sounds like the trash is assisting the trash. Poor Haleigh..poor Haleigh I feel so bad for her. I’m afraid Misty has indeed information she isn’t coming clean about. She should just own up to the truth. Spit it out and be done with it. There are worse thing’s in life than death. May sound weird but I assure you there are. being responsible for a innocent childs DEATH to me would be worse than being dead.

  5. starr says:

Ok. Misty was not there that night. However Crystal may have had Haleigh taken due to the custody battle with the courts. It seems too
coincidental that this happened within a week of the hearing. I think they should grill Crystal as well. Now she is coming up with the abuse allegations so it will be a good reason for her to have taken Haleigh.

  6. Justine says:

The little girl was on a nebulizer and both the father and girlfriend seemed to be chain smokers, in spite of having a child with respiratory illness. Smoking is harmfull to a child with respiratory distress even the clothing, interrior of cars and home of the caregiver. Regarding the van issue; If the baby sitter did not attend school she most likely does not have a DL in FL. How did she take child to the doctor? How old was Haliegh’s mother during conception and was the father an adult at that time as well? How old was the baby brother during the custody suit? Did the mother have legal representation? New mother’s may not have the equal earning potential and opportunity for fair legal representation. This makes leaving an abuser often difficult. Adequate legal representaion, transitional employment, transportation, childcare and housing are difficult for the new mother not to mention, natural physical and emotional recovery. Even a divorce for a professional mother on postpartum leave so that she can nurse her baby during the first year can be at risk. Let’s face it, pregnancy for some women can be like getting hit by a truck and placed on bed rest for a year even without physical abuse. Handing a child to the father simply because of the mother’s employment status is not a fair concise judgment.

  7. Blink says:

Justine makes a strong point. I am commenting on it because it needs to be underscored that victims of abuse or abusive partners find themselves with very little support and options to leave their situation by design of the abuser. On that issue alone, I dont think she should be judged. There is no doubt in my mind that Ron C is abusive from the first 911 call. That does not mean he has abused his children though. I think for me, one of my issues is that I do not comprehend the style of living and parenting apptitude in this case. It’s just all BAD. I have never hit my kids and dont know anyone that has. I just feel that if people are open about this kind of behavior without any shame, what the hell goes on behind closed doors.

I dont even think I can take sides in this case, I think they both appear to be terrible parents with horrible habits and the further you go in their family tree it gets worse. I just want this baby found so whatever is going to happen in this Grecian by way of Satsuma tragedy, does.

  8. miko says:

I just don’t see Ronald Cummings putting up with an unfaithful girlfriend, muchless marrying her. IMO, he is not a very pleasant fella to look at. Mean looking. What I do see is him keeping her around as a ‘babysitter’, since he worked the late shift, and had to have somebody watching the children. I haven’t heard anything about her having an affair, except what I read here, but I’m surprised he even commented on it, especially in regard to her being unfaithful, as all his prior comments he thought were ‘nobody’s business’ . One of the grandparents commented that he was a ‘strict disciplinarian’ and I’m wondering what the reason for that is. Lack of patience? Ridiculous.

  9. katfish says:

I’m giving “cobra” the same weight given to another bounty hunter in another recent missing child case.

  10. leah says:

little girl might of caught babysitter doin the nasty and was going to tell daddy.has anyone mentioned mistys dad? what kind of parent would let their 17 yr daughter live with an older man with kids there are laws they could have fought against it maybe daddy liked the thought of having a “grandaughter” and little momma thought it to be okay to? what kind of background do they have we know there is a cousin and they let him visit? this is close family close, someone had to of had there eye on haleigh and knew if real mom got custody that she wouldnt be so close anymore, and made there move and misty knows. she knows

  11. Mary says:

There’s no reason to believe anything Staubs has said. You can’t trust anyones motives for anything they say or do anymore. It concerns me that *if* what Staubs says Ronald said to him is true – the gun comment – does Ronald still have a gun in his possession that LE is aware of? If so, why, in this volatile environment, haven’t they confiscated it, at least for the time being (if he holds a permit for it).

  12. Wes says:

COBRA (William Staub) is obviously the kidnapper! There is just no doubt about it. Listen to him bluster, fake and lie. I am sure that the sheriff and police have told Misty and Ronald to KEEP away from this man. If you listen to this ludicrous radio interview, you can no doubt tell the man is a half-baked nut job. NO serious investigator would “tell all” or even tell ANYTHING to the media! I think Ronald was probably setting up Cobra — or even wearing a wire — to try to get Cobra to confess or let on that he took Haleigh. Come on — no one in law enforcement called this clown on the scene — he showed up — as perpetrators so often do– trying to be part of the “investigation” once they have harmed a child.

  13. ted brantner says:

i think what happened was the little girl seen misty having her little affair, was going to tell daddy,so misty slapped her around and probably hit her the wrong way and hurt the little girl very badly. so then the black man (misty boyfriend) took her and buried her somewhere. now where, we all would like to know where. why dont they look in the dumspter area . thats where the dogs all 4 of them went crazy.i wish that i could come down and search.

  14. first response says:

When I first saw this on the news, I figured the girlfriend had something to do with it…this is basically confirming my gut feeling. Her story didn’t make sense from the beginning. It changed quite frequently. That alone would make her a suspect to me if I were law enforcement. She may not have taken the girl but she deffinately knows alot more about the incident than she is saying.

As a parent of 2 beautiful children, nothing happens at my house without me knowing about it. I sleep lightly and wake frequently at any given sound. If the child meant as much to her as she claims, she would do the same and this child would be safe right now.

  15. drumstick says:

I agree with blink that there is no better side in this case. It’s a mess all the way around.
I have a huge problem with Cobra leading us to believe that he can find the truth by strongarming or beating up people to find someone.
In the real world, those actions are considered by law as assault and battery and are punishable.

    This isn’t the movies, folks.

    Where is little Haleigh?

    ~

  16. Blink says:

    Drunstick -
I believe your correct, and we have all seen how that can compromise a case. I read this interview was removed from the radio site, not sure if that means anything.

The only thing I will say after having people on the scene of the searches originally down there, this is a very rough area.

I also think Junior ( I refuse to call him Bubba)should be evaluated by pediatric psychologist after watching him briefly. I would be lokking for PTSD, and cognitive delays.

Where is little Haleigh is right-

  17. Felicity says:

ReRead the article. Is Greg an African American, or White? This case is getting more and more confusing. Now, the blue van is involved! Who was the relative that was there the night Haleigh was taken? Blink, I hope that you will get some answers for us.

I also read that Crystal had her “snatched” by someone! (if so, please God, maybe Haleigh is alive.)

I think alot of this revolves around drugs. I think they were probably flushed in far bathroom before calling 911.

I think when/if this case is solved, we are all going to be shocked. JMO

  18. mamacrazy30 says:

wow…if what “Cobra” says is true, Misty will need police protection when/if Haleigh is found……WOW…Ronald apparently has plans for the future…..

  19. Blink says:

Felicity and Mama: Yes, I agree.

Felicity- that is what is odd. Cobra states Cummings refers to the man as being black, but COBRA refers to the man as white boy Greg.

I believe this is where Crystal came up with what she said came from her son about the black man dressed in black with squeaky shoes.

I swear if I find out Misty is prego I am going to lose my lunch.

    Blink

  20. Felicity says:

Blink: Would you REALLY be surprised if Misty came up prego??haha These people seem to breed like rabbits…sadly.

What on earth is Ronald doing with a gun, and worse yet, threatening to hold it to Misty’s mouth?? Good heavens! That is insane!

I do hope that LE has interviewed “Greg”…the so-called “lover.” Ronald doesn’t strick me as the kind of man who would marry a woman who has a lover. Maybe he was the one who provided the drugs…anything is possible with these people.

I agree with you about Chrystal saying her son saw a Black man! That really makes alot of sense.

  21. mr.obvious says:

True most detectives working on a case of this magnitutde would never give particulars of a case on a radio show, however that is to keep from possibly compromising the prosecutorial integrity of the case, except in a case such as this.If you want wine you must squeeze some grapes.Misty has never fooled me in all the interviews i’ve seen, her body language says all,she tends to conceal her hands together in her knees on many an interview, this indicates holding back something and the sub-concious responds in kind. The police need to arrest her and ronald on obstruction of justice and child endangerment, irrespective of the abduction. In order to have a magistrate issue an arrest warrant for those two,you would first have to interrogate this greg fellow. Its sholud be cut and dry, hopefully someone in L.E. will read this.

  22. mr.obvious says:

On topix somebody wrote a Gregory White (sexoffendr?frmGeorgia)a.k.a.whiteboy greg or another Gregory White in fl?

  23. [...] Blink on Crime brought you the interview of “Cobra Staubs” Bounty Hunter (minus the hat) extroirdinaire on the scene in [...]

  24. Brenda in Virginia says:

I have felt since day-one Misty had someone ELSE over after dark no one but she, this individual, Haleigh, and possibly her younger brother know about. If my assumptions are true, THIS is what Misty is hiding. The fact she knows exactly who took Haleigh as it will show the world her sexual escapades (as we saw with Casey Anthony).

That said, I do think Misty cared about Haleigh, but cares more about what reputation she may have left. Neither do I feel she allowed Haleigh to be taken, but realizes it is because of her actions this was allowed to occur.

  25. Indy says:

Isn’t it interesting that COBRA appeared at the same time as Crystal lawyered up? And WHY did she lawyer up so quickly? So the lawyer can give out her lies in public? The lawyer can’t even get Crystal’s story to make sense. They have pictures of Haleigh taken about a week after she had a fall on the playground – a fall big enough to warrant documentation by the school. What are the odds that a parent would abuse a child in exactly the same spots where the child had a previous injury?

I agree this is a trashy family all around. However, Misty’ story doesn’t change as mcuh as Crystal’s does.

Crystal and her mother came out swinging when this child disappeared. Their first appearance on TV was nothing more than an attempt to trash Ron. I look at motive. Who has the motive to want the child away from Ron – Crystal and her family.

IIRC the stories about Misty and her alleged “Boyfriend” came from that camp also. Misty’s fiance was even on camera spewing against Ron.

The “man in black” is now the “black man in black.” Where does this come from. Crystal. There’s a huge difference between a “man in black”and a “black man in black.” Wouldn’t it make Misty look even worse if the alleged “affair” was with a black man? ala Susan Smith.

  26. MIMI says:

Hmmmmmmm haven’t heard about the boyfriend (Greg). Is this a bonafide revelation? This would crack the case wide open if it’s on the up and up.

  27. Shelley says:

If the father of my child and I were divorced and he had custody, I would DEFINATLY COME OUT SWINGING! You better believe I’d want to know where the heck my daughter was, and I wouldn’t mince words, knowing his little gf was there when my daughter went missing. As for Cobra, I personally am glad he’s there. He didn’t have anything to do with it people! Come on. But he’s rough, he’s tough and personally I believe that’s what it’s going to take to get thru to whoever knows something. That person is Misty. He didn’t reveal that much on the radio….he simply said that Misty doesn’t want to do the reenactment. Why is that? Why wouldn’t you do a reenactment if you really wanted to find this little girl? As far as sleeping with someone else, it was going to come out anyway. So Cobra found that out. Good job! I’m glad to know it. And it does possibly give a crack in the case.

I wish law enforcement WOULD take her in for obstruction of justice, because when it comes right down to it, she knows something. She’s hiding something. I’m hoping they find this little girl soon, this case is breaking my heart. :(

  28. MIMI says:

Indy, you are in the minority on this as far as we armchair sleuths go. You and Nancy Grace, I should say. Anyone who defends this Ron and Misty person hasn’t been in touch with what’s going on. Anyone can see that Crystal suffers from battered woman syndrome. She shows all signs of it. She has tried for a very long time to get her children away from him, but because Ron had the job, he was given custody. I do admit neither of them have been an exemplary parent, but being poor doesn’t disqualify a person as a parent or the ability to love them. DRUGS, however does and these two characters (Ron and Misty) are heavy into that. I don’t think little Haleigh will ever come home again. The signs are all there that she’s no longer with us. The biggest sign being the cadaver dogs hitting on that dumpster in the park. Cadaver dogs NEVER hit on anything except DEAD HUMAN REMAINS. Unless, someone else was dead and thrown in the dumpster and what’s the liklihood of that? She was thrown in there and then removed to her final resting place and God above, only , knows where that is. But……….I keep praying I’m wrong.

  29. Annals says:

According to LE there are some items which Cadaver dogs will hit on which are not human remains. I’m not sure what they are but can guess. Used feminine sanitary products, perhaps.?

  30. twinsmommy says:

Has anyone considered the thought of alligators in the water behind the mobile home? Just a guess…but when the story first broke Misty claims Haleigh was wearing a pink nightshirt. Then I believe it was the next day Misty said she found the pink nightshirt in the dirty laundry. So is it possible that IF Haleigh woke up, found Misty with the boyfriend (Greg), they decided to get rid of her by tossing her body to the alligators to keep her from telling Ronald…they would remove her clothes so that no evidence of the child would be found. Lord I pray that I am wrong!

  31. MIMI says:

Kind of defeats the whole purpose of cadaver dogs, doesn’t it? I believe that little girl spent time in that dumpster and I hope and pray I’m wrong.

  32. MIMI says:

I considered alligators . Didn’t know where the pond was in relationship to the mobile home park. I thought everyone may think it too gory to talk about , but………if they (Ron or Misty or all of the above) are guilty of this heinous crime, then what better way to get rid of a body. I hadn’t thought of the pink shirt. That makes perfect sense. God I do hope we’re wrong about all of it. I hope she’s with a kidnapper who will return her at some point, but……that’s wishful thinking. I still believe she spent some time in that dumpster before whatever became her final resting place. And……….it has been brought to my attention that cadaver dogs DO NOT HIT ON ANYTHING EXCEPT HUMAN REMAINS. And 4 dogs hit the dumpster. There is hardly room for error here. Why hasn’t LE done more with Misty? Seems she should be jailed for something. And that Ron character , he sickens me.

  33. Gina says:

I learned this from the Caylee Anthony case. Alligators will only eat what they kill themselves. And cadavar dogs only hit on human decomposition, so unless the femine sanitary product was from a deceased body, the dogs wouldn’t hit on it.

I believe that Misty is in this up to her glazed over eyeballs. I think if LE would question her every day for several hours a day and keep her away from Ronald for an extended period of time, she would eventually crack under the pressure. You can tell this girl is on or has been on drugs. JMO I wonder how close LE is watching her every move.

It’s unreal that 2 very sweet and beautiful little girls could be missing like this within the same area.

  34. Annals says:

    In the video taped press conference which was filmed just after the dumpster was thoroughly searched, the Putnam County Sheriff’s spokesman said this;

“Nothing of interest was found in the dumpster. There are a few items which cadaver dogs will hit on which are NOT human remains.”

That is what they said. It is my guess that those items are anything with human blood.

  35. Annals says:

Alligators do not eat only what they kill, they also eat carrion (dead animals) according to these publications; “American Alligator” and “Living With Alligators” published by the Florida Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission.

“Larger alligators readily eat carrion and, in fact, may prefer it to fresh meat. They are basically opportunistic feeders and will eat almost anything, including such objects as sticks, stones, fishing lures and aluminum cans.”

  36. mr.obvious says:

We read the police report that we obtained from nancy grace.com,in that report police dogs track scent to buffalo bluff road and the railroad crossings at which time they went cold.Searching sex offender releases from the past year has revealed one violent sex offender’s relative who resides at e.239 buffalo bluff road, extremely close to the area the dogs lost track. The name is William Barr and the residence & phone come back to a Rose Barr. There could be something to this?I understand that its some-kind of senior citizens apts.Has anyone heard anything concerning this?

  37. CC says:

    1. Does anyone know if Haleigh was confirmed to be alive when she
    left the Trailer?

    2. Could the dogs still have picked up her scent from earlier?

    3. When does until a dog detect death, a minute, an hour or longer?

    Thank-you,

  38. MIMI says:

Something someone remarked on another forum makes perfect sense. Seems these dumpsters are changed and this particular one could have been somewhere else and another dead body could have been in there while at that location. That could possibly be the case.

  39. Kim says:

This is purely as Kin sees it — and I could surely be wrong in any area or aspect —
I have seen many dumpsters in my days and it is not common practice that they are moved from location to location unless being privately rented or being used for construction purposes, etc. Other than that they remain stationary.
And it is also my opinion that Crystal does not suffer from Battered Women Syndrome, but from the results of drug addiction, immaturity, low self esteem and an overbearing Mother. Look at her first interviews, she soothes and comforts Ron, she says they get along. It is Marie, her Mother that oozes with venomous hatred for Ronald. There apparently was no luck in Crystal gaining custody throught the courts of the children due to her lifestyle behaviors and choices and if Marie had thought the kids were having it that bad why did she not file for custody herself? Apparently their efforts in involving DCF did not work back then either for Marie. I know many, have many friends in Macclenny –Baker County, Florida where Marie and Crystal and the fiance/step-brother live that actually know personally or know of this trio and all have stated “They ain’t all that” meaning — they aren’t what they want everyone in the world to think of them as — helpless and innocent victims of this tragedy.
I live in Florida, always have– about an hour or so from Satsuma. Very familiar with domestic custody, worked in mental health, substance abuse, courts. If Crystal had really wanted those kids she could and would have gotten custody. Children get in the way of crack cocaine use, and any addiction for that matter. Not saying Ronald is an angel either. He has skeletons rattling in his closet, too. This is a tragic situation in all aspects. In areas like Satsuma there are a lot of abandoned wells and septic tank openings when they are no longer useful or a residence is moved to or built in another location. The openings to these are very, very small but a small child or animal can definitely fit into the opening and fall anywhere from 25 plus feet iside of the earth. No one would ever hear them, and these holes are easy to cover
There are so many things, scenarios. But it all comes down to the same thing — that child did not willingly walk out of that house on her own.
Alligators eat dead things, have seen it with my own eyes. Cadaver dogs cn make mistakes and will hit upon other objects. Error, it happens.
Put Misty in a room by herself with Haleigh’s pictures all over the walls and continually play Haleigh’s voice over and over and it won’t take long for Misty to scream the truth of what really happened. Where is this Greg? Or is he just a passing theory?
Whatever, in whatever way or form, itis time for this baby to come home where she belongs.

  40. Kim says:

Well, in a nutshell I could have spell check ed my own name.
The above comment is purely and solely my opinion and my thoughts and feelings — as KIM sees it.

  41. Misty is going to break next week and this will all be put to rest in the following week.

  42. Kim says:

Not sure if it will be this weekend. Don’t feel inside that that is correct, although that does not mean that I do not hope that Bob is incorrect. Personally I don’t think Misty will break until there is some really monumental can’t- et–f or-lie-your-way-out-of truth/evidence. Until then Misty sts back and probably thinks that all of the ones that are calling her the dumb one are really and truly the stupid themselves. A sick sense of power and control. So many teens have the mindframe that they are smarter than everyone else and indestructable. And unfortunately it appears she suffers from this type of thinking. She has everyone jumping-or so she thinks, the false sense that she is in control because she feels and believes that she alone is omnipotent as she is the one who knows the truth but wants everyone else to believe that she does not. But she doesn’t seem to be showing any real signs yet of cracking. She still feels she has the power to control what others think and know.
Again — all of the above is how Kim sees it.

  43. MIMI says:

Kim, just like the rest of we armchair sleuths, you have an opinion and I respect that opinion. One thing is for certain……..Somebody has hit the ol proverbial “nail on the head”. Toss up as to who is correct or even partially correct. We all seem to have reached a consensus about who’s responsible……..”Misty”. It’s now a matter of time to get the little twit to confess. In all fairness to Misty, if Child Protective Services had been doing their job and there was money to do it……..Misty probably could have been saved way back then and we wouldn’t have a missing little child today. My daughter has her Master’s in Clinical Therapy and I know first hand about the system and pretty much how it works or lack of thereof.

  44. MIMI says:

Let me clarify my statement about my daughter. I wasn’t simply making a boast about my daughter. I forgot to add the reason I even mentioned it. She counsels these kids who have crossed the line in their so-called homes and it’s heartbreaking for her to hear what took place in the lives of these unprotected children and by the time she gets them , they are pretty much the Mistys of this society. The laws have got to be changed. Politicians won’t save these kids because they have not voting voice, but our society depends on the next generation and if the law makers would just recognize for every child they save, that’s one more who won’t grow up and make babies to place in the system. God, what is the answer?

now that white boygreg have been cleared as a suspect he pass the polygraph test. now it boiled down to misty croslin again. i been concern about this she said she wash the blanket how come it was not tested. and another concern i have the back door why was not taken out to be tested from day one. why wait a month later. when i first seen in the news about this matter i said out loud it was misty croslin remember she was the last to see haleigh, now i had another opinion, what could have happen, ronaldknew misty was out again, he came homethere was a arguement with both ronald misty, than haleigh got in the middle and got hit again. i figure this what went inside that home. to coverup ronald panic than ronald, misty plan the kidnapping thing now they are scare to death. the law is going to have separate both to confees heaven sake its about haleigh.

  47. Kim says:

Mimi=I have a Masters in Psychology also and have worked with tons of people like Rondald, Crystal and Misty and even Marie. Florida Family Law defines abandonment not only as a physical action but also as a financial action ie” Not paying child support. So by that Crystal is/was not fit to have the children. But with all of the mess the focus in not on Haleigh anymore or finding her. There are a lot of pieces that apparently LE is sitting on and not letting leaked into the public spectrum.
This little girl deserves to be remembered and cared about and not used as a weapon in publc.

  48. MIMI says:

To Kim. I have said from the beginning that neither of these parents deserve these children, but………the little guy and little Haleigh , if she should be found alive, will live out their childhood with either one incompetent parent or the other. Not much has surfaced , that I’ve seen anyway, about Crystal. Geraldo is doing something on this case tonight. (saturday, the 28th). I’ll be watching.

  49. terieaston says:

    Indy,
I agree with you. It is suspicious that Cobra has shown up on the scene just as Crystal has begun to lodge her allegations of abuse.
Cobra’s ‘story’ is so outrageous. I listened to his near manic rant on the radio and he sounds as if he should be psychologically evaluated. He went on and on about RC having a gun and threatening Misty. However, he states himself that the police investigated and found that his allegations were unfounded.
Where is he from? Why is he suddenly attempting to inject himself into the spotlight of this case? I know it is a lot of free publicity for him just as it is for Kim Picazio.
I am not saying that RC and MC are any role models for anyone, but, when you live in a glass house, as Crystal does, I don’t think you should be throwing stones.
She had 3 years of opportunities to get her life in order and get custody of these two children and did not. She was busy, making more kids, 3 others, one of which is with her step brother/boyfriend.
She went before two judges on 3 seperate occasions, had every opportunity to make her allegations then and did not.
I think what most people do not realize is this: When there are allegations of abuse, the court appoints a guardian ad litum for the child/children involved. This persons only job is to represent the best interest of the children.
Crystals allegations of beatings to Geraldo and the pictures she produced, have been shown to be not abuse, but a playground accident. This was confirmed by the schools and the hospital records.
Now, Crystal is lodging new accusations. Kim Picazio seems as if she has it all together when she makes the allegations, but when she is presented with evidence to the contrary, she gets this terribly confused look on her face, denies making allegations and then states she will be soon making others.
None of it makes sense, and I have to wonder, where was Crystal for all those hours after she found out Haleigh was missing and the time she finally showed up in Satsuma?
If she was visiting her children on a regular basis, why aren’t there any happy pictures of her with her kids? Why doesn’t she have any? RC has lots.
Also, in her interview with Geraldo, she stated ‘Haleigh is Ron’s heart. He would never hurt her. He loves her with all his heart.’ Now, she is all, ‘he is an abuser, we were doing drugs and when I found out I was pregnant and couldn’t do drugs anymore, I was mad at him and asked him, how could you do drugs in front of me, knowing I can’t do it right now?’ She was actually mad because she couldn’t continue to do drugs? Something is seriously wrong with this picture. There have been lots of attacks against RC and Misty, by Crystal, but they have not attacked her in any way.
Why won’t she look at the camera?
I have counseled many battered women, worked with abused children and families involved with domestic abuse, and Crystal does not come off as an abused woman, no matter how hard she tries.
She comes off as an immature, selfish woman who has not taken the time out to put her life together for the best interests of her children.
I am not saying RC has done what is in the best interests all the time either, but, when a parent begins finger pointing and attempting to publicly steer an investigation in one direction, it is suspicous. JMO
