Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: 3D Virtual Juror Exclusive- Tour for Yourself

Orlando, FL– While the countdown begins for upcoming motions in both the criminal and civil cases against notorious tot mom Casey Anthony for the murder of her daughter, Caylee, a blinkoncrime.com exclusive:

Overhead mapAn Interactive Tour of the crime scene off Suburban Drive, the autopsy area and digital DNA lab, and the Anthony home where most believe is where 34 month old Caylee Marie Anthony sadly met her end.

Built by a colleague at my request, Angela Talamasca and her team have recreated an interactive simulation that undoubtedly will be used by both the State’s Attorneys and Jose Baez Defense Team.

It is designed to provide a virtual experience allowing the final “triers of fact” to literally transport themselves within the evidence and theories they will be presented to consider when determining the fate of the accused, Casey Anthony.  This proof of concept ”build” includes contribution and consult from leaders in the fields of: Forensics, CSI, Crime Scene Reconstruction and Medical Examiners Investigations.

Currently, we have closed the simulation “island” to the public while it continues development to reflect known evidence and elements of the case.

We got a glimpse of the 3D “view” released in the discovery of Autopsy a flyover of the area where Caylee Anthony’s remains were found. In the second life version (think Wii sims for adults) site called Digital DNA, users will be able to “virtually” tour the scenes by walking through them and simultaneously interacting with the features that will hilight the components and evidence of the case.

Take the Museum tour, interactive crime scene case review, test out your own theories “real time”  or disprove someone else’s; it’s here.

(editors note: out of respect for Caylee’s age, we have used a larger than scale anthropologic presentation)

Todd, would Amy want them???!! They aren’t in Casey’s stuff anymore of course, they will be ‘evidence’. Who’d want them but some freak on e-bay.

Angela, re #210, my nym is Sleutha Daxeline where I signed up. I realized after a while that there was a second step after opening an account at Second Life. I got your email invite this morning before leaving for work, but something didn’t work on the link and I didn’t have time to mess with it. I will try again when I am home for lunch and let you know if there is a problem. Assuming I’ll be G2G once I click on this link. I will also read the tutorial when I am home. Thanks for guidance. Much appreciated.

  3. lily says:

ok I got a confirmation from Angela in Second Life in email. I can’t log back in to SL until this afternoon but this is pretty easy.

I would imagine its much easier for Angela if you go into Second Life and ask her to add you there instead of on this board. My opinion only but – this will be difficult for her to manage once everyone gets going if we put the burden on her to find us instead of the other way around.

If you use the search function (at the bottom of the screen) it pops up a window and you can search for people. Type in Angela Talamusca – and the info on her will pop up. You will see that she belongs to virtual juror. Just type in a message telling her you’re from Blink and ask her to add you.

Its pretty easy once you get going.

Carolyn, I too have wondered why she stole Amy’s money. Part of me says she was spiraling out of control (stealing from the grandparents and then from Amy, and of course possibly committing murder), maybe wanting to get caught, and part of me says, Nah, it was just a crime of opportunity. Silly Amy left her cash somewhere in the apt. and went to sleep with ol’ sticky fingers right there; then silly Amy left her checkbook in the car—jackpot! She won’t mind if I borrow this. Casey might have figured she could explain later (had to pay the nanny, my checks were locked in my office, nanny was extorting money for kidnapping my kid, etc.) She’s usually good on the fly.

BUT she didn’t use Amy’s money to pay the cellphone bill, or should I say (to use a phrase I love from someone on this site, maybe wonderful Maura) Casey had already drained Amy’s account by time she tried to pay her cell phone bill.

Todd, I guess casey can keep her movie star glasses since Baez repaid the bank.

I am on my third SecondLife registration with no email (and all the good last names keep disappearing!). Perhaps it knows that I have yet to get a first life, instead spending all my time reading stuff on Blink, lol.

Kleat, good point. I guess the guy from San Diego that keeps Casey’s jailhouse junk food account full can arrange to acquire them. The guy is probably in his 40′s, and still lives in his mom’s basement

I was just looking at the aerial images on WESH of the site where Caylee’s body was found and I wonder – what if Casey had dropped the remains just 20-30 more feet into the swamp? Would she still be there?

Of course that’s assuming that there wasn’t any info being passed from Casey to Baez to ‘someone’. I’m still not sure about Kronk and his story. Also the PI search of the area is very suspect. I wonder what really did bring about the discovery of the remains? Its possible that if Casey had kept quiet and walked a little bit further in that this would be a different narrative today.

  11. Hi there, I sent out a number of invites this morning. Hope I got you all! Also, if you are not receiving the forum confirmation email or SL confirmation email, pls be sure to check your spam folder. They may have become caught up in that. And finally, even though some of you showed as not being confirmed (ie. forum email confirmation), if you had idential second life names, I sent you an invite in SL and also added you to the forum virtual juror group. So there will be no need to click the confirmation link. You will know you have been added to the forum group if you can view the virtual juror members only lounge. If, after logging in, you cannot view it, simply IM me and I will add you.

    From WDBO

George Anthony, father of accused child killer Casey Anthony, stormed into a press conference this afternoon being held by attorney Mark NeJame.

Anthony demanded NeJame speak with him in another room, and the two were joined by Anthony family attorney Brad Conway as they spoke away from the media. When NeJame returned, he said Mr. Anthony had been given bad information from Casey Anthony’s attorney Jose Baez. Mr. Anthony agreed, but they both refused to discuss what the bad information was.

Perhaps that bad information was that Mark no longer had a phone number, Cause what adult man barges into someone’s office like a 1940′s movie? Pick up the cell George

  14. lily says:

No kidding Blink. These days though I look at everything the A’s do with a question about whether or not there is some sort of strategy behind it and not passion or misunderstanding at all. What did Baez have to gain by getting Geo riled up enough to make a public display of – ummm – weirdness and lack of control?

  15. Marcy says:

#230, Carolyn S: No, it was not Casey’s usual practice to steal large sums of money. But she lucked out with Amy: first Casey took $400 in cash, then told Amy that Amy herself misplaced it because she had been sleepwalking.

Then our honest Casey finds Amy’s checkbook in Amy’s car, while Amy was kind enough to let Casey keep her car for the week or so that Amy was out of town. But Casey can’t keep her fingers off Amy’s checkbook, hence the Target video, Bank of America video, etc., ad nauseam.

Aside from all the other thievery Casey the opportunist engaged in, the fact that she stole from her grandfather’s living expenses account is the lowest of the low.

IMO Casey has/had virtually no impulse control; she saw the money, saw the checkbook, & helped herself. Amy, like everyone else in Casey’s life, was expendable. Ultimately, Caylee also proved to be expendable.

Casey Anthony and her parents make my flesh crawl.

Hi all, this is my very first time posting, I have followed this case and this blog from the very beginning. So many thanks to Blink, Angela, Silver, Maura (my gosh!), Kleat and everyone I have obviously missed. I have read everything so far and there are a few things that still bother me that have so far not been addressed:
July 3, 2008 everyone is so fixated on this date. Did not Cindy produce a parking receipt from this date to prove that she was at Universal Studios around 3pm? and do you suppose in the same trip, she “actually, really” found out that Casey didn’t work there after all?
July 15, 2008 while being interviewed by Detective Melich, Casey blurts out the babysitter’s name Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez, and if you listen very closely to the very first interview, she says, “Zenitha” but when questioned on pronunciation, she most definately spells Z-E-N-A-I-D-A. Is this maybe a more Spanish way of saying this name or am I just too Canadian?

  21. Alberta Rose says:

    Other questions:
June 27,2008 Why was Casey at Amscot on this day?

July 15, 2008 Cindy very obviously wants something done, if nothing else, Casey arrested for stealing money and auto theft, June 30, 2008, why not June 16, 2008???

  22. Alberta Rose says:

    One other thing:

Conway was given the courtesy of a copy by NeJame. He saw no problem with it, and had no way to know, or expect, George’s troublesome behavior.

    {booquote}Why would conway allow it? Did conway know what geo was going to do? And he actually allowed it to go down?{booendquote}

    #42:CJudy
This is spin. And damage control. Baez should not have contacted George Anthony directly, he should have called Conway. They had to say something about the questionable conduct of Baez bypassing the Anthonys’ attorney.

    {quoteCJudy} from the Orlando Sentinel…
“Jose Baez’s spokeswoman, Marti Mackenzie, said the defense team did contact George Anthony and his attorney about the news conference.He and the defense team felt the press conference and the release of the photos were improper,” she said. The Anthonys may want to let their opinion be known, she said.”{endquoteCJudy}

    ____________________________________________________________________

I’m going to reiterate what I believe “the bad information” was. Earlier in the day, yesterday, CF News 13 posted an inaccurate lede on the topic or scope of the NeJame presser:

“The original post of CF News 13:
NeJame, Miller To Reveal All In Anthony Case
 Thursday, August 20, 2009 11:02:19 AM
    Reported ByJacqueline Fell
ORLANDO — The former attorney for the Anthony family is revealing more about what he knows in the Casey Anthony case.

SORRY THAT DIDN’T LINE UP PROPERLY
    _______________________________________________________________________

I believe Baez read the post, flipped out, called George and told him that he better get to NeJame and remind him of the attorney-client privilege, and to not reveal “ALL” that he knows in the case. George reacted without much thought and went to the presser. Cindy probably found out what George was up to and contacted Conway. That’s why I believe that Conway showed up a little later. He was ‘out of the loop’. Or perhaps, as an afterthought, Baez’s office contacted Conway.

Baez made a horrible move, in my opinion, because George’s actions speak loudly to Casey’s guilt, and Baez comes across as the ‘puppet master’ of the Anthonys. Anything shared between Baez and the Anthonys is not bound by the attorney-client privilege, so he better be thoughtful of what he manipulates in the future.

  28. westsidehudson says:

Lots of errors in my last post…and it ended up lining up just fine…apologies for all past & future spelling errors & typos.

  29. Todd in Tulsa says:

anyone, what relevance is it if Tim Miller and Equisearch are “forced” by Baez to testify? How are they connecting Miller and the search to Casey’s “innocence” because she was in jail, hence she couldn’t have done it?

  30. Todd in Tulsa says:

Also, will Baez be successful in “forcing” Tim Miller to testify, and at the same time, be successful in preventing Padilla testifying to what actually happened? How convenient for Baez that he feels entitled to pick and choose what stays and what goes

  32. Todd in Tulsa says:

One irritating item is, if the “nanny” did it, why are they sifting through Tony Larzarro’s life, requesting all of his personal info, cell phone records, etc? I thought Casey had a sworn statement, including the initial signed statement to the investigators, who gave her the opportunity to back out of her pathetic “nanny did it” statement, and she stated “it’s the truth”.

  33. Todd in Tulsa says:

can someone tell me how in the world the defense is saying that Casey is innocent because the body was placed there after Casey was in jail? What proof do they have of that? Are they just throwing mud against the wall to see what sticks?

  34. Todd in Tulsa says:

Someone else put Caylee in the woods because Casey was in jail. Did someone else also PUT HER IN THE TRUNK? How ignorant are these attorneys!?!?

  35. Todd in Tulsa says:

What also gets me, is Baez also going to say those aren’t actually Casey’s fingerprints on the ducttape that was found around the mouth? Were those fingerprints put there when Casey was in jail as well? ARGGGHH!!

Casey Anthony: WFTV asks if defense is holding it together

“Is her defense team keeping it together?” WFTV-Channel 9 anchor Bob Opsahl asked.

Yes, more Casey Anthony. It was a big day in the case. At 5 tonight, WFTV’s legal analyst said the defense team’s strategy defied logic. The defense argues there’s substantial evidence that someone else dumped Caylee Anthony, and that proves Anthony is innocent of the murder of her child.

At 6, the station studied mistakes by the defense team.

“Last-minute motions, incorrect motions, lack of motions — it’s not the kind of work we were told to expect from Professor Andrea Lyon, as the defense likes to call her,” WFTV’s Kathi Belich said.

Belich listed the mistakes: In seeking Texas EquuSearch records, defense lawyer Lyon had a last-minute motion with the wrong case number. Lyon hadn’t filed the proper paper work to join the Anthony check fraud case. And the defense team failed to alert the media that it wants to keep public records secret.

“There were several missteps,” WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said. And he added that Lyon had been touted as an expert and “a lawyer’s lawyer.”

What does it all mean? Could Anthony’s legal dream team be a nightmare?

  43. ammchale says:

Hi Blink, I too would like to compliment you and your team on your exceptional efforts in describing the events of Caylee Anthony’s death.
I would like to say that I had always felt that it was probable that Anthony lost her temper with little Caylee-or that Anthony choose to adminster this child with a sleep aid to enable her to go out and spend the night with her new boyfriend-however as a result of readig the comments expressed by other members here-I am beginning to thin that Anthony bound and gagged the child before placing her in the trunk of of the car. It could be just that simple-A cruel and monsterous act which ultimately led to the baby’s death. The fact that Anthony could actually subject the child to this ordeal strongly indicates how abusive and cruel Anthony was to the child in her care. Indeed it seems abundantly clear that Anthony felt she had no alternative-as She had made plans to go and hang out with Tony the evening of june 16th. I dont think she could face the prospect of begging Cindy to babysit-as I think She knew that Cindy would not be receptive to her needs/wants. I personally will never understand why Anthony did not look for someone to watch Caylee for her-Wasnt there anyone She could ask to babysit the child-other than her mother. I think Anthony’s primary objective was to get herself out of the Anthony home and most especially away from the wachful eye of her mother. I think it was certainly Cindy’s attempts to manipulate/control Anthony’s behaviour-as I think Cindy had grown increasingly angry and resentful of the way Casey was behaving-the going out and staying out all night was openly defiant of her mother. I think Cindy was deeply unhappy with Casey and threatened her with criminal/court proceedings. I think Anthony had had enough of her mother laying down the law-telling her what she could/couldnt do-and sad to say-that Cindy appeared to make a bad situtation worse. Anthony resented the child-her Mother’s persistent attempts to regulate her is the reason that Caylee lost her life.
I totally agree with the comment posted that it was very evident in the 911 calls that Cindy was attempting to out bluff Casey-She made a big deal of phoning the policebut as the poster observed-there was nothing to indicate that /Cindy was actually being serious-Cindy was angry with Casey and to my mind was attempting to scare her into revealing the whereabouts of Caylee. But what is most intersting about Cindy’s actions is the facr that she afforded Anthony the opportunity to explain herself in terms of the missing child. One can but wonder whether Casey Anthony actually revealed the truth to her mother at that point

  44. ammchale says:

i sometimes think casey had a last minute change of plan and decided to do two birds with one stone, get money by stealing amy’s and then make it look like amy had a possible involement in caylee’s kidnapping as punishment for stealing her money
    *********************************************************************
I personally think at one time or another Anthony considered everything as a possible way of explaining Caylee’s disappearance-But as a consequence of her burgeoning relationship with Tony Lizarro i FEEL Anthony grew complacent-She allowed herself to become lulled into a false sense of security. I think as the days and weeks went by-She felt removed from the situtation-the only people questioning her about Caylee were her parents and she had managed to maintain a distance from them for 31 days-that I think by the time Cindy arrived at Casey’s door-She was caught off guard. But I also feel Anthony was relieved to at last get it out in the open that “Caylee was gone/missing”=I think she had envisaged this occuring much earlier on-but as she had kept George and Cindy at arms length-her story now sounded a little ludicrous-as the big question was-WHY the heck didnt she report Caylee’s abduction when it occurred. The other thing I feel is that Anthony thought that she could just rush through the Caylee disappearance/Caylee is missing thing-estimating that the police would end up pretty much at a dead end with the Zanny the nanny lead and Casey could get back to her own life sooner rather than later.I also think that She felt that She would spearhead the Caylee is missing campain-I think she saw herself as being the darling of the press and that She would go round the talk shows

reading all of the time line of what happened. i have come across alot of thigs that are questionable?? like the finding of a bag at the bottom of some lake with bones and toys inside ( this was a month) prior to the mystry trippled baged remans of caylee were found. however this had nothing to do with the caylee dissapearence?? this to me is questionable. and then her mothers frantic 911 call to report her grand daughter missing.. cindy said “i’ve given you a month to find her” my thought is did cindy know the 31 days prior know she (caylee) was missing?? the whoole “i’ve given you a month to find her” also all the “evidence” they found near the remains the syrenge and bottle in the woods feet away from the remains. i feel she might be being set up. and with her father George anthony trying to kill himself an the constant changing his story regarding “facts” involving the now case. the man who discovered the remains is a convicted child molester from my understanding of reading the time line. this man told the police back in august abot the mystery bag yet the police said it was under water and they could not check at the time.( due to storm fran??) and another thing tht boggels my mind is that if casey did do it why would she tell an inmate that she use to use cloroform to put caylee to sleep (hearsay) and to leave determental evidence laying within feet of the found remains?? she is either being set up by her own parents ( her father is a retired police officer or along those lines.) or she is the dumbest murderer on the face of the earth to leave that kind of evidence with in feet of little caylee’s remains.???? I believe her mother knew about caylee being mising prior to her frantic 911 call to the police stating “i’ve” given you a month to find her.. there are just too many holes in this case for the real truth to ever be seen. my heart does go out to casey anthony due to the excessive media coverage in this case. before i read the “FACTS TIME LINE” I myself thought her guilty but now i’m not so sure ?? there is alot of reasonable doubt involving the so called facts of this entire issue from july 2008 to date may 20, 2011. i hve been watching jury selection since the 9th of may. ( this month) i look forward to watching the trial on trutv’s inSession. there are many thougts i have about the “what if’s” in this case. but the speculation and assumption of casey’s actions ..what if casey did this ..what if casey did that?? let the facts paint its own picture. needless to say i pray for all involved..
