Christine Sheddy Case:Murder in Maryland Chapter 6

Cosmic Shear

Pocomoke City, MD– The last time Christine Sheddy’s bestQ friend “Q” spoke to her at approximately 9:30Pm on November 12th she was trying to whisper something to him. He could not hear her. He heard a guy in the back talking about how they were gonna keep her, she’s so good to them, so nice to look at.. You get the picture. Skeeve Meter twenty out of ten.

Christine put him on the phone with Q as he kept following her around talking in the background. Q describes the voice on the other end of the phone as a red kneck. Definately not JR or Dominick. Justin and Q chat for a few seconds with the regular niceties.

Justin To this day, “Q” is not sure if she put him on the phone thinking it would get him out of her personal space, to make Q think he was “cool” , or to identify him to Q without the privacy to be able to reveal whatever was wrong.  It haunts him.

At 11am the morning of the 13th Q calls for Christine. JR answers and says he is “out”, does not have many cell minutes left and will tell Christine to call him when he gets back to the house. Lie No.1 out of infinity.

The following are the still shots taken by the mounted, motion- activated camera on the neighbors home, installed following JR stealing a laptop and cell phone and JR and Justin slashing the neighbors tires in October.

The first person to leave the residence at 12:58PM on November 13:

11-131258PM

Unsub self-professed hunter/correction officer. This truck had been seen on previous occasions from this footage. This man is stopped because the neighbor asked him who he was. He said he was a corrections officer, and simply looking for a place to hunt. The neighbor asked him why he would not take the two on the roof with him. Jr and Dominic. They were fixing the hole in the roof from  the fire the evening of the 9th.

Until this article, this truck has never been identified. The mystery CO and hunter is NEITHER of those things. The truck belongs to Tia Johnson’s father, and was driven by Charles Timothy Johnson, Tia’s brother. This is the first vehicle to leave the property on 11/13.

Here is the lovely couple Charles T Johnson and Jennifer Waters Johnson arriving at the party on 11/11, apparently they bring the party with them, or at least the coolers. Why the hunting story? Did he think she may have seen Charles in the field or woods as well? Was it related to Jennifers probation hearing the next day?

Truck-1

1:57PM- Tia’s car, with Jr and Tia in it, leaves in a manner to avoid the camera.

2:06PM– Tia’s car returns, she is alone.

2:08PM– Tia’s car leaves again, unidentifiable driver.

2:36PM– Tia’s car, driven by JR, so fast the witness believed he was going to flip it over.

3:38PM– Tia, JR and Justin leave the farm in Tia’s car.

4–4:30PM– They return in Tia’s car, avoiding the camera.

5:06PM– Middle aged woman with blonde hair arrives, later determined to be “Nevlyn” , Dominick Von Graevenitzs’ Mother in Law.

5:08PM– Nevlyn leaves the farmhouse with additional unidentified passengers.

From approximately 5:30–7PM JR begins calling Christine’s family and friends. (yes, I am being intentionally vague on the chronology).

However, it should be noted that JR did all of the calling, and all of the “version” alchemy. An Excerpt:

11/13 6–7:00PM call, recipient witheld–

On the 13th around 6 or 7 JR left a message on my cell telling me to call him back as soon as I get the message, and it didn’t matter that it was before 9. (editors note: 9Pm is the reduced rate benchmark).

I got the message 20-30 minutes after he called and called him right back. He answered and said that him and Tia went to pick up her kids up from school and when they came back Christine was gone and the boys were there by themselves. My reaction was shock and worry. That just doesn’t happen, and Christine would N E V E R leave her kids by themselves. I was like “are you serious?” JR’s tone was calm and even called me nicknames like “ma”. He said he did not have any idea where she was and he, Tia and a cousin even searched the wooded property because they had a lot of land. He also said she may have went off with a guy she met that worked at Walmart. He said that he was trying to get a hold of my mom so that she or someone could get the boys. He said Christine mentioned to him that she was moving from the farmhouse.

That call was made AFTER he had already spoken to Q with the same story.

I asked Q– when did you KNOW something had happened to Christine; something was very wrong? He replied: “When Levi and his Mom picked up the boys, I new something was horribly wrong and something had happened to Christine. She would never in a million years let those boys go with Joyce. ESPECIALLY Joyce AND Levi. Never…”

8:08PM– Nevlyn returns to the property with passengers.

8:38PM– security check

8:50PM– Joyce Hall, mother of Levi Hall, and Levi, arrive on the property.

9:26PM– Joyce leaves the property.

9:57PM– BLACK PICKUP WITH SHINY BLACK WHEELS ARRIVES.

Blink did you mean brother and not hubby in #141? I get confused by the who’s who on this one a lot.

“Beige truck belongs to Tia’s dad, driven by her hubby, Charles Timothy.”

    Geeze, lol, yes.

Regrouping.. Beige truck is owned by Tia’s Dad. It was driven by her bro Charles Timothy, whose wife is Jennifer Waters Johnson.

#157 BTheChange – its obvious you feel passionately about Christine and what happened to her. If you’ve only been here a few days sometimes its really helpful to go back and read all of the posts and comments especially when people have been studying and discussing something for a long time. You can find answers to a lot of your questions that way too. It took me forever on the Caylee Anthony case! LOL

Don’t worry about occasionally slipping in a little frustration about the suspects. We all do it but we try not to use name calling or trash talking because that can get out of control quickly.

The best comments that I see IMO (in my opinion) are when people find something different, new or have a new take on an old idea. Its also nice to fellow commenters if we try to do a quick spell/grammar/readability check before submitting. Nobody expects anything close to perfection and using abbreviations and having fun and all of that is expected.

This is why I hang out here. Thank you for a much better explanation than I could have come up with my friend. Bravo.

  10. Charisse says:

In the middle of the night last night, I found myself wondering whether the roof had a view of the landfill.

It seems like a silly question now, but… I am thinking… I would like to know exactly what can be seen from there.

The only reasons that I could see them going up there was to see something from there. Or to talk privately and get away from someone – whether an emotional Jennifer or to avoid seeing Christine’s kids.

Maybe it is that simple. I used to live with writers in L.A. and whenever they had writer’s block, they would sit at the blank paper and suddenly they would find themselves doing major projects around the place that they would have never gotten to, EVER, if it weren’t for the emotion of trying to face the fear or writing.

  11. Charisse says:

I am guessing that killing someone is a major deal to these folks. Meaning that, they pushed the edge of the law a lot, and get off on power and rebellion and being high, but they aren’t serial killers who get off on killing itself.

Most of them had probably never even seen a dead body before.

  12. Charisse says:

Thinking aloud, because I am trying to imagine the day, from their perspective.

I am thinking that Jennifer was probably watching Christine’s kids.
Since we see Tia coming and going, but don’t see Jennifer leaving.

Except she was in court, I am wondering if she was picked up in the black truck the night before.
But can’t be sure she had to appear that day.

BLINK please, I apologize in attacking you or even becoming somewhat(maybe alot dispruptive)…i will try my best to follow up and if there is something i have a question on i will ask then… otherwise i will listen and try to find out.. instead of 50 comments down the road, i think this is my problem i cannot keep up…i am so new and overwhelmed….. i am trying to so hard 2 keep up, go back, and …..live life and work. LOL… i will try to be a better newbie. i gues si am getting overwhelmed i should have seen this coming. one more chance…thank you so much. i know we will find her. i know it.

  14. Charisse says:

If Nevylyn was told that Christine went missing, I am wondering if her unidentified passengers might have included the kids.

Looking at the fact that Nevylyn’s two children were Corrections officer Board of education, my guess is that she POSSIBLY has some solid values & would have cared about the kids.

That might have been why she showed up in the first place. (Yes, it could have also just been to shuttle Domo, but JR and Tia and the rest of them could have given him a ride home, too, right?)

  15. Marci says:

Thanks lily for explaining that with grace ;-)
BTheChange I really was not trying to be rude but I just found myself getting lost in the comments. I think everyone on here and can see how compasionate you are and respect that..

  16. Charisse says:

Regarding the Jennifer at court. I forgot her court date. Do we know what time she had to be there, if she did have to attend?

As you can see, I have the kids on my mind.

Mostly, I feel fairly sure that Christine was dead before day light, probably not long after the phone call with Q.

Someone had to deal with her kids the whole day of the 13th, and most of the people there were males who were clearly not nurturers, to say the least.

That left Tia, who we see driving around & Jennifer (who was at a PARTY the night before court)

  17. Charisse says:

    Hugs to BTheChange! ((((hugs))))

You are passionate and you care.

    Those are very good things.

Keep caring and everything else will work itself out.

  18. Brenda in Virginia says:

Charisse, I wonder what story Nevylyn was told to satisfy her curiosity re: where Christine was? I’ve not read anything pertaining to her having direct involvement with Christine’s demise so far…and think I remember someone posting that she and Joyce weren’t aquainted. Could Nev have been duped into this situation? “used” because no one would question her motives and any story she retold would be believed?

  19. boo says:

Your witness wanted help from Mr Waters from the screaming baffoons on the roof. I’m thinking the baffoons were screaming at her because Mr waters was there and was not supposed to be seen. I will not be apologizing to Mr Waters for my questions

  20. Gypsy DD says:

Nevlyn very well could have escorted Christine’s boys to Erin’s until Joyce could be reached to come get them. Erin was very pregnant at the time, she gave birh late january.
I figured this was due to the heavy partying he had planned for the next couple of days.

I think Dom and JR on the roof was to place them as lookouts..for security and anyone arriving or leaving the farm. Whatever they did with Christine I believe they waited until nightfall to bury her.

I also think the bonfire was to light up the woods so they could see what they were doing. Still wondering if there is water or a pond in or near the woods? There are 3.

I modified your other questions because I cannot discuss what kids were where at what times other than what was already out there, I know you understand my friend.

Should you, ever in your life, need of anything, I would move heaven and earth to get it for you, as would my family.

  22. Charisse says:

I am guessing they wouldn’t have told Nevylyn that Christine died.

UNLESS she is corrupt herself OR has protected them in the past.

Justin’s mom, and Levi’s mom, from their actions, I believe probably did know that Christine had died. If these characters were brazen enough to tell Justin’s mom and Levi / Joyce, then they possibly would have told Nevylyn, too, but only if they thought she was going to go along with their story.

In my young, rebel days, I wouldn’t have told my grandmother the things that I did, and I didn’t do anywhere near the things that they were doing.

At the very least, I am thinking Nevylyn would be Domo’s ride home.
Basically, she took someone from 5-ish until 8 pm. Dinner time – ish, where I live. But she came back before Joyce and Levi arrived for the kids and, if I am understanding properly, she STAYED while they were there. That makes me wonder if JR would have wanted the kids out of the house while he made the “Christine is missing” calls.

VERY CURIOUS about when Nevylyn left – before or after the heaping bon fire in the field. If she was still there during the heaping field fire, she becomes more suspicious to me.

I didn’t see any earlier cases??

Thanks for the clarification on the trucks.
Charles leaves the farm first, alone, and via route that would take him in view of the neighbors/surveillance, and felt comfy enough to stop and chat (tell lies).

Is this Jennifer RENEE Johnson, d.o.b. 6/4/79 (with subsequent case history including 2nd degree assault charge stemming from incident on 12/22/08 (Nolle Prosequi/Dismissal Notice issued 5/12/09)?
I didn’t see any earlier cases??

Jennifer Renee Waters Johnson, you looking in MD or VA?

    From Blink’s Timeline in article:

1:57PM- Tia’s car, with Jr and Tia in it, leaves in a manner to avoid the camera.
2:06PM– Tia’s car returns, she is alone.
2:08PM– Tia’s car leaves again, unidentifiable driver.
2:36PM– Tia’s car, driven by JR, so fast the witness believed he was going to flip it over.
3:38PM– Tia, JR and Justin leave the farm in Tia’s car.

The 3:38 pm time: In order for JR to be LEAVING with Tia and Justin, that means JR had to have been AT the Farmhouse at that time. Does that mean at 2:36 pm he was RETURNING to the farmhouse when the witness saw him driving so fast? If so, then he had to have gotten Tia’s car by the “unidentifiable driver” in order for JR to be driving it back “fast” to the farmhouse (alone?).

Are we sure that some of this “short time” driving to and from wasn’t a smoke screen for what was really going on at the farmhouse? Sort of like “slight of hands”. A distraction so to speak.

    Give me a pass if I totally missed this one;
but at 2:36 p.m. was JR returning to the farm or leaving it?

There is a connection, I am convinced. Chief Daugherty of Snow Hill told Det. McDermott they were druggies and Christine left. He knew because they probably contributed to organized drug trade in Worc.and he threw off the investigation because McDermott took another cops word for what kind of people they were instead of listening to a mother.

    A connection to what?

RE: #56 Muma19 and #84 Felicity. Almost 2 yrs ago when this all started, I KNEW LEVI was responsible and I had so much hate in my heart for him…which is bad, I know. Now that all this info is coming to light, I don’t feel that way anymore. I can see that HE is also a victim of abuse and his behavior is learned from his mother. What chance does one have when that is what they have been taught? I feel sorry for him. I do think, in his own twisted way, that he did love Christine. When I see those sweet faces of his boys, I think of him as a boy and wonder what horrible things were done to him? I can’t imagine. Thank God Lynn got the boys away from her.

I always try to find something “good” in every situation. This is a hard one. In my mind, maybe this will help bring to light all of the abuse that has occurred generation after generation in so many families. Maybe this may help stop the cycle of abuse. It has been swept under the carpet for so many years. People say the internet is the CAUSE for much criminal behavior. I disagree. Now, thanks to the internet, people cannot get away with their crimes. These horrific abuses have been going on for years and years…but no one knew about it…finally it is all coming to the surface, due to the internet and websites such as this. That is a good thing.

    Godspeed everybody!

I see your point in a way, but I cant give that man a pass when I have witnessed first hand how he victimized her again and again. Adults make choices. He could have broken the cycle.
Admittedly, and yes, twisted, he did love her. Personally, I wish he could have loved her less and left her alone.

    Hmmmm

This is very interesting but nobody has mentioned the carpet being removed and/or burned.

The comments about the drug market are very close to home.

Certain members of the Pocomoke City Government and police Dept *RUN* Pocomoke cities open air drug market. We are talking about a large scale drug distribution center.

The Pocomoke city government is openly corrupt and the scumbags *MAY* have ties through the back door.

Why would the cops not investigate?

Why would they ignore the missing carpet and the bonfire?

They knew the neighbors were taking pictures of everyone coming and going.

The coverup runs a lot deeper than the dumb ass killers.

The carpet was removed, but not burned. It is in the video footage of the original trailer for Christine’s case. It is in one of the gargages laying flat. It is IMPOSSIBLE to tell at this point if it had been scrubbed of spots, it is discolored everywhere, cars drive on it..

  45. Charity says:

Thinking about some possible Nevlyn scenarios:

    1) Someone called and said that Christine went missing and asked her to deal with Christine’s kids. If she used to be a teacher, and was married to LE, she would likely be the one who would know what to do and she would also care about the kids.

    2) Erin asked her to pick up her husband, who is lame enough to be out partying while she is very pregnant, rather than helping with the kids.

    3) Since Erin was THAT pregnant, maybe Nevlyn was babysitting for some of Erin’s kids for her to lessen the load.

    4) Domo is still such a child-man, that even with all of those kids grandmom-in-law had to pick him up to bring him home for dinner. And drop him back off again, so he could get back for the bonfire and continue partying, even though there was a missing woman.

  46. suz says:

I wish Levi loved her enough to fight to bring her murderer(s) to justice.
    Agreed.
    B

  47. Charity says:

Did Joyce stay in the car the whole time while Levi got the kids and the story?

To be honest, THAT is the one thing that makes sense to me.

I am thinking maybe she was afraid of going in or of having both her and Levi in the house at the same time.

Druggies who murderered a sweet young mom, while her kids were there, in a strange area in a State that you don’t live in – with a security guard in the next door neighbors house (which might have just looked like a strange man to her.)

I would have stayed in the car with my high beams on, too, and, if I was Levi, I would have brought my mother and had her stay in the car, too, in case I had to drive off fast.

Maybe that is just the way I think, but….

I know Levi sort of knew them and had partied with them, but I am still thinking that even Levi would freak out when the mother of his children was murdered.

Blink, just thinking of the landfill and 3 bodies of water on the property. If the water was real swift, a body could be carried downstream rather rapidly. and like little Caylees, and badly decomposed after all this time.

You’ve seen the landfill, and it being only 200 ft. away, that would seem an obvious place (imo) to place a body. What are your thoughts on this? Of course, LE may have already checked these places, and I am not aware of it.

Do you know what Levi is doing at this time? I also wonder of Mother Joyce is still working for radio station, and either of them have tried to visit the children? (or at least send money to help with support)

I am thrilled that the new tech team is involved!! I know it has given Lynn more hope. She is a truly awesome lady, and I pray for the day she can bring her beloved daughter home and lay her to rest.

I am staying away from any comments about the children, I know you understand. I consider that a private matter

Just thinking again….If I was Christine, trapped at the farmhouse with no cell and no car, afraid of something/someone, and fearing for my children, I would have put Q on the phone with Justin just to let Justin know that there is SOMEONE who knows where I am.

I also keep thinking about the timeline, the first truck to leave, and the story about looking for someplace to hunt. I think Christine was possibly in the back of that truck. She was in the woods, Charles moved her to his truck while the others were on the roof trying to distract the neighbors. Charles makes up the story to explain why he was in the woods, in case they saw him. He leaves and puts Christine somewhere.

About an hour later, Tia and JR take off in Tia’s car. Tia leaves JR (at the “dump” site?) and comes back alone. She hands her car off to someone else, who leaves again — to go help JR? JR comes flying back about a half hour later. (IS the unidentified person with JR when he returns?)

Tia, JR and Justin leave again and are gone for less than an hour. They are back by 4:30. Everything has been “done” by this time. They call Nevlyn to come pick (somebody) up. Nevlyn is only there for 2 minutes, and leaves at 5:08. By 5:30, JR is making his phone calls.

Joyce loads something into the trunk of her car. (??) She then leaves the property at 9:26 (whithout Levi?)

Close to 10, either Steve Maggs or Jon Waters shows up. Personally, from the pictures shown, I would describe Jon Waters’ truck as black shiny wheels. But, I am just going by the pictures above.

Then, the big bonfire near the woods. They are “cleaning up” the rest of the evidence in the woods where Christine “used” to be.

These are just my thoughts right now. They could change again, I’m sure.
