GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. (MyFOX ATLANTA) – Gwinnett County investigators said Monday that a body found in Gwinnett County may be that of a teenage girl. Investigators said they hope evidence found at the scene will help identify the victim.

The skeletal remains were found Dec. 6, off Forest Vale Drive in an unincorporated area of Norcross.

An autopsy determined the remains belong to a female, around 5’2″ tall, who was 15 to 21-years-old.

Anyone with information on the woman’s identity is asked to contact Gwinnett County police.

Thanks for the update Suz. I feel so bad for this family. Its been so long with no news. I keep them in my prayers. Thanks Blink for bringing us Justin’s story.

I feel sad too, that Justin only has 50 something comments on “his” story. I know its silly. I just wanted to drop in and let him know in some small way I am keeping him in my thoughts…..

    Momof3,

Your posts are so thoughtful for the families of Justin and Morgan momof3. Your posts really speak from your heart. I keep checking here too, to see if there is any new developements in his case. This is absolutely just horrible for this young man to vanish! I am also keeping Justin’s family in my thoughts and prayers as well. This site really opened my eyes to the plights of all the missing children and young adults.
Certainly raises the level of awareness. Thanks Blink for keeping Justins case alive, for your devotion to Justin and his family in attempting to get closure. If it was for your case profile, (BOC) on him I would have never heard of his case at all.

Suz….this is a young, very petite young girl? Could this possibly be Brittany D? Just thinkin? I think its creepy finding that many remains in that county.

  4. suz says:

Chad, I would think if it was Brittanee D they would have dental records or something to match? Sometimes when they don’t match the records, it’s someone who wasn’t even reported missing. Sad.

That other body under the mobile home had ID on it, I believe, which is how they identified it so quickly.

    Man, what a world.

  5. Ragdoll says:

I can’t get this ‘theory’ out of my head. Are young college aged men being targeted and murdered, or it is all just coincidence? Maybe, we never gave it much thought that men can be victims of stranger violence too.

I have studied that issue extensively. Even met with the NY Detectives, not prepared to write on it though.

I’d lie if I said didn’t admit what your thoughts were Blink. I’ve read a lot on these case (I’m sure I haven’t invested a hundreth of the time you have) and have swayed back and forth about the possibilities.

Bottom line, men are vulernable too when by themselves, late at night, seperated from friends, etc. I think it’s more common then we realize but not enough media attention has been given to these types of cases. It’s great to see that more light is being shed on cases like Justin Gaines.

I pray for their families and for resolution. I can’t even begin to imagine what they endure. God bless them and their missing loved ones.

Eventually, I will, and I agree.

Thank you Chad. Itis nice to know I am not the only one . I think you are also I caring insightful poster. It is too bad that good thought alone can not bring the missing home to their family’s.

    Any word yet?

  9. Claire says:

There was another guy in the same age range as Justin that disappeared within a few blocks of where Justin Disappeared from. His case was a few years before Justins though but very similar circumstances. I’ll try to find his name.
TY, I am familiar. If not mistaken, a year earlier, last name Roark?
    B

  10. Claire says:

It was Jason Roark I believe it was in a close area to where Justin dissappeared from although this guy had a history of PTSD.

He did, but I do not believe it had anything to do with his disappearance.

i swear to god that i have seen him from somewhere. i live here and georgia and have been to wild bills plenty of times (where he disappeared). i am however 100% sure that i have seen him within the past couple of months. living, obviously. i actually ran across this case on FBI’s missing persons files. btw i am 19, just 2 years younger then he would be now. i have either seen him at DOS COPAS mexican grille or at DISCOVERY MILLS mall. i am 100% sure that i have seen him. i will dwell on this until i remember where i saw him at. i believe that its a memory recall failure on my part. both places are within 30 miles of wild bills bar. ill ask around to see if anyone knows of anything. ill check back here often to look for responses to my post. god bless Justin’s family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

    Michael, welcome to BOC-
Where and when would you say was the last time you feel you saw Justin?
    B

  12. Michael says:

i have either seen him at DOS COPAS mexican grille or at DISCOVERY MILLS mall.

Well can you tell me when you think you saw him, like dates you were there, times, etc, so I can pass it on?

  13. Michael says:

it was also within the last couple of monthes

  14. Michael says:

between the hours of 3:00 pm and 1 am about 2 months ago

You were at the same bar from 3PM- 1Am and your not sure which one?

Not judging, I was 19 once, just trying to nail it down.
    Thanks

  15. Michael says:

no problem man. but i cant remember because i only talked to him for a bit before he headed out. i know it was him though just because of his build- its the same build/face in the photo except hes tanner. but am still 100% sure it was him

Had you known him previously that your would be 100% sure? What did you talk about if I may ask?

Not sure if you will see this but I thought you might be interested in this.

I worked on Justin’s case a few years ago. I cannot express enough how much parents of missing children/teens need to understand their rights as victims under statute in some states, and then they most especially need to understand how to respectfully call out law enforcement if the case has gone cold.

Yes. This is the real deal. Praying right alongside you Meg.

Wilson’s mother acknowledged that the story might not prove to be true, but she said she was thankful for the authorities who are looking into it. She disagreed with Porter’s statement to the Daily Post on Friday that failed searches like the one resulting from the apparently false tip about her son’s body earlier this month were torturous for her family.

“They don’t understand what my torture is. Maybe we have a different definition,” she said. “I know (Gwinnett Sheriff) Butch Conway and his investigators are going to follow every lead. And that means a lot.”

There she is!! Nice to see you Switzerland- you have been missed.

I know of Glass- that does not surprise me- the elder gentleman does, but it does fit with an early anonymous witness account I received.

I am confident he is in a well of some sort and I pray for him and his family this is the break that recovers him.
