Abemarle County, VA– On the 100 acre parcel of the over 700 acre farm owned by Nancy and David Bass where Morgan Harrington’s remains were recovered yesterday, there may be clues of the furry variety that lead to the identity of Morgan’s murderer.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a source inside the investigation has told blinkoncrime.com that questions raised here regarding private deer hunting on the farm have been verified by Virginia State Police.

Anchorage Farm owners do allow some private hunting members and maintains a list of those individuals permitted to do so.

From the time Morgan disappeared and presumably ended up in the hayfield, both archery and firearm deer seasons were in full swing.

Big Brother, or in this case Uncle Buck, was watching.

Camera

Blink, what is that ugly azz thing you say?

It might be sweet Morgan’s Ruth Cooper.

The Cuddeback Scouting Camera with Video and Infared technologies from Cabelas. This is one example of tree trunk and tree stand cutting edge technology that is motion activated with high resolution images on several settings.

Not to be outdone: The Moultrie Game Spy, which you can use to watch your prey like a surveillance screen in real time.

This is another example of the varieties that were in place the night of October 17th.

Morgan was found in a field, almost smack dab in the middle of surrounding tree line’s loaded with tree stands and tree cameras.

She was found without her camera and necklace; both of which have not been located to date.

VSP has been provided the list of known hunters at Anchorage Farm, and are in the process of interviewing them.

If you have hunted the property this season, VSP would appreciate a call:(434) 352-3467

“everything is number 15 here…” I confess this phrase sent me to the Urban Dictionary. The best I could come up with is that it refers to a bad hand in black jack. I would agree that we don’t yet have enough face cards to have a good hand, but just wait – 21 is coming. I can feel it!

#502/503 Awa,I dont want to answer for Roageo, but I do know that these pics are another group of WT friends-some of which attended the concert-Marvin Black, Josh etc. (questionable if they stayed at the concert the entire time.) Also notice security shirt. Not sure about the Oemhke kids-one still in HS. I’ll let Roageo give the more specific details.

Are the names spelled differently (Hagar vs Hager, two people), or is one a typo?

Tammy Hager is a recruiter in Roanoke. She formerly worked for Carilion as a recruiter.

Can’t find Tammy Hagar with Advanced Plumbing, but obviously two different people.

The alleged shirt was found on 15th Street, but I don’t see any other connections.

awa, the links were in reference to a poster’s question regarding people possibly connected to WT, thus, possibly connected to Morgan. The links were of those who possibly attended the concert and possibly friends with WT. Some of the links were of people with the same last names and were possibly related. The links/names are not to imply any wrong doings by any of these people. The links reference this previous post which was made by another poster. Hopes this explanation helps.

I had to snicker a little about the farmer/cell phone issue. Reminds me of my dear dad. When asked why he didn’t take his cell phone, his reply: ‘well I reckon I made it without one for eighty years, figure I can make without one now.’ Needless to say it lays on the end table, along side his GPS, right beside his easy chair.

Not to mention, there really are alot of locations in that area that don’t have a cell phone signal.

  11. jlh says:

post 495 typo…name is spelled the same for this person. correct spelling is Tammy Hager as ex employee at C Clinic and current contact person for Advanced Plumbing Services.

jih — It is two difference people. If you check Intellius, there are two Tammy Hagers with different middle initials; one in Roanoke and one in C’ville.

  15. lori says:

I think the comment about “15″ that the poster(forget the name) was referring to was about the fact that for awhile all the posts came up with the number 15 beside them. It was kind of weird because it was at the same time everyone was talking about 15th St.. not sure why but it happened to me too yesterday.

Mom 3.0– fitting name change for you, as here you’ve been “motherly” considerate to way more than 3!– yours (#451) is so far the only reaction to my #389 on this thread, so I want to respond to you, at least in brief. But clearly things have been “popping” in the past week, Blink needed new threads, and the resulting profusion seems to have convinced some readers that only that latest thread is active; they’re camping out by only one stream and missing what flows down others! So I hope you won’t mind if I post my response “over there,” where there should be a bigger audience to possibly answer the question I asked.

And, hey, it could be that this just isn’t the right crowd to know an answer to that question; only a few BOC posters seem to have known the Harringtons personally. So I should ask on Find Morgan, too–where “Kenny” will probably delete it– but first one more try for help here. Thank you!

As to your question, I would tend to agree with your ideas on asking again.

MDH’s friends cold, callous, lacking, regardless if cooperating w/ LE. As in military, etc., facts not public for a reason. 1st part of her long-anticipated evening failed her expectations–wouldn’t she have tried to salvage it? Something must have spiraled or come up before she even left the arena. Friends know, and/or were more concerned w/ themselves. SS is an excellent name for their mentality, behavior, and character. She may have met up with or known the male counterpart of SS: no feelings and no responsibility.
Perp probably has an entitlement, as well as over-confident, attitude no matter what socio-economic level he belongs to. If treated like an object, tend to treat others as objects. Unless born evil, this is a cultural deprivation all of us contribute to by tolerating denigration.
Some odd thoughts: 1) for some reason, Keene, VA (southeast on State Route 712 from North Garden) has come to mind, 2) several vehicular deaths (3 w/in a week after Oct. 17) a few miles south of Rt. 29 & Red Hill Rd.(Anchorage Farm area) at the intersection of Plank Rd./Rt. 29-S that traffic officers found strange and alarming, 3) northwest of this intersection is reputed to be a wiccan location, & just before Halloween, 4) Routes 708 and 712 connect Rt. 29 eastward to Route 20, in a very rural area of the county, and these two Rt. 29 intersections are within miles of where MDH’s body was found, & 5) Rt. 29-South (south of Charlottesville and Interstate 64) has few places to cross over & drive back north.

“My apologies in advance for offending anyone with this post, but they left her there. They had parties. SS dressed like a zombie 2 weeks later.
    B

    She knew him.”

It’s quite possible that she never hooked-up with the person she intended to meet. Perhaps he didn’t show up which, in turn, led her to seek re-entry and to eventually HH.

A smart 20 yr old HH is not convincing IMO. I believe she was seen HH. However, believe she was doing so for a specific reason.

11-09-2009 – Dont take this serious but

“There was a possibility that a man may have offered her some drugs or alcohol by the ladies restroom. Later they were found arguing, she was let outside not allowed back in then whomever she was arguing with may have followed her to the bridge and then while no one was aware that she may have been in trouble they may have had another argument and before she could do anything she dropped her purse as she was abducted into the night. I say this because she seems to be the “trusting type,” also her pupils are always dilated and her skin is unusually yellow which seems to denote drug use the perp., probably was in his early to middle thirties, white and sort of short with some kind of facial hair? Probably not so very well groomed and has a personality that is a bit introverted as well as stalker-ish but easy to talk too. She is probably not buried or in a very shallow grave, and on the edge of a forest in a field about 6-15 miles away, she may be nude and possibly posed to make it look like something else may have happened. The more I read about her case I can almost suspect the guy drives a red car or some sort of white truck. The perpetrator may live close to where Morgan was laid to rest, she probably was strangled or bludgeoned to death by an object or if they knew each other by bare hands. Poor Girl she should have picked better friends to be with and watch her a little more closely. This is purely speculation on what I have read though… I do hope they find her! Alive!”

I checked it out. I guesss it could be lucky guess, but it is strange.

This quote: “Poor Girl she should have picked better friends to be with and watch her a little more closely.” sounds like a freak.
Very early, also the almost too self absorbed opinion of her skin and eyes.
It has been so long, I would love to Blink re-open this.

    Remembering Morgan Dana Harrington 1989-2009
    ON FEBRUARY – 1 – 2010

The world has lost its best hugger. The incomparable Morgan Dana Harrington was torn from us on October 17, 2009.
Morgan, age 20, was a shiny, loving, beautiful original. She was very much loved by her family, her friends, and her community, which has now expanded to include much of the world. We cherish the time we had with Morgan and are grateful for the breadth and variety of experiences we were able to share in her tragically abbreviated life.
Morgan was born on July 24, 1989 in Charlottesville, Virginia and killed there in October 2009. She was an avid music fan, a champion of children’s rights, and planned a career in education.
To recognize some of Morgan’s passions we ask that, in lieu of flowers, gifts to honor Morgan’s memory be made to the Morgan Dana Harrington Memorial Scholarship at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine or to OMNI – Orphan Medical Network International, an organization that provides medical care in Africa. Scholarship donations may be mailed to: Virginia Tech, Attn: Gift Accounting, University Development (0336), Blacksburg, VA 24061, and OMNI donations to 6930 Empire Lane, Roanoke, VA 24018.
Our reconfigured family, Dan, Gil and Alex plan on honoring Morgan with a Mass on February 5, 2010 at 3:30 PM at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Roanoke, Virginia followed by a reception to celebrate Morgan’s life at the Hotel Roanoke.
We are grief stricken by her death but also lifted by the knowledge that Morgan Dana Harrington was precious to so many and will not be forgotten. She mattered, to us all.
    2 4 1

I certainly hope that this will be televised so remote viewers can participate in the mass, and pay their respects.

did LE ever release any info regarding what was found on the hunting cameras where Morgan was found? i have been waiting for something to break in this case & these cameras seemed promising…

    It has never been released.

  30. suzanne says:

does the fact that nothing has ever been released mean that “something” is there?

I would consider that case sensitive information, but I am comfortable saying that I think the existence of hunting cameras have aided LE investigative efforts at AF.
