Christine Sheddy Murder: Sources To blinkoncrime.com”It’s Her”

BREAKING NEWS

PostOfficeAerial

Snow Hill, MD– Although officially unconfirmed, sources inside the investigation tell blinkoncrime.com that the female remains located on the rear property of the Riverside Inn Bed and Breakfast, are that of 26 year old missing Delaware woman Christine Sheddy.

Christine, Mother of 3, was last seen alive the evening of November 12, 2007 on the Byrd Rd farm property in Pocomoke City, MD.

Justice, Interrupted : A Mother’s Fight

Blinkoncrime.com was asked to investigate the disappearance of Christine Sheddy by Christine’s Mother, Lynn Dodenhoff, and members of her family and friends last Summer.

With the exception of a few outdated news articles and some good work by the folks at the Pocomoke Tattler,  we had to start from scratch. Yes, it is as hard as it sounds save for the fact that our initial primary source of information came from the one woman that vowed to bring her daughter home: her Mom.

This most tenacious woman did more investigative work on her daughter’s disappearance than the detectives tasked with finding her. In fact, one of the primary witnesses in this case was not interviewed until Fall of last year after I interviewed him twice and our series on Christine was on it’s fifth chapter.

At the request of the Maryland State Police and the Doddenhoff  and Sheddy families, the blinkoncrime team will be limiting coverage regarding the actual facts of the internal investigation of Christine’s case as it is continuing.

Joel Todd, Worcester State Attorney, disclosed that a tip led investigators to the scene as part of a “larger investigation.” Through the good work of a special investigator from Todds’ office and that of the Maryland State Police, who received Christine’s case less than a week ago, it seems that Christine and her family’s quest for answers surrounding her disappearance and murder will be forthcoming.

What a great thing all of you have done. Christine’s Mom………There is no love like that of a Mother’s love. This is powerful stuff. My cup runneth over. It is good to know that GOOD won over EVIL on this case. Thankyou to all the good that visit this site, thankyou to Christine’s Mom who taught all of us Mom’s, and BLINK! There are just no words…..thankyou

Go, team Blink, and go, St. Anthony!

Blink, I was just reading old threads and noticed that you said a prayer to St. Anthony. Woot!!!! (That delights us card carrying Catholics to no end)

I’m so happy (and sad) for Lynn and family. Christine’s kids are just darling. Her daughter really favors her. Prayers and peace to all.

Except to the killer or killers, who WILL be brought to justice.

I am not catholic, but I will say that that prayer has produced 3 mp recoveries in my experience.

That’s amazing, Blink. Thanks for acknowledging it publicly!

St. Anthony doesn’t have that same deal as St. Jude (Patron St. of hopeless causes), which is unique in that traditionally when you pray to St. Jude you must “promise to publish your request or thanks and encourage devotion to St. Jude”. The idea is that this demonstrates your faith and commitment to letting God through St. Jude help bring change to your life. As one site says, “This faith is an important step in showing our openness to receiving God’s response to our prayers. Without such conviction, all of our prayers are doomed to fail.”

Anyway, I’m sure St. Anthony appreciates the plug, too, it being Lent and all.

To all the forces—human and divine—that conspired to bring Christine back home to her loved ones, THANK YOU!!

  6. mjh says:

I thank God that she has finally been found. My thoughts and prayers are with Lynn and her family. Christine can now be laid to rest in peace, and her children will now have a place where they can visit their mom.

I have very mixed emotions…..so glad that she has been found, but so very sad that this happened to such a young, beautiful mother.

Thank you once again, Blink, for the time and effort you put into helping people, making their stories known, and making sure their voices are heard.

B, it just seems strange that if she was murdered on the farmhouse that night, they would drive all the way into the center of the town of snow hill and bury her in this location, its a good 12-15 miles on main roads and more if they drove around back roads to avoid the main roads… i know you can’t comment publicly but of all the rural areas in this county why that spot?

Your right, sorry, I cannot comment on that.

  11. Kleat says:

Here’s where basic police work seems to have failed, was it to protect the fire chief and his connections?

Good for you and the Tattler staff, to take the good cause of a mother to find answers and to recover her child. Why does police work fail so badly in some of these cases? Too small a town, questions about civic leaders and their self-interests, protecting themselves or their family– well enough left alone?

    Congratulations, Blink.

(and to Mr. Richard Hornsby’s comments about you and your work, hey, some criminal defense lawyer is going to get work out of this, without the investigation done, the body found, that’s a net loss for the defense legal profession… he should say thank you to all. If no one finds answers, finds a suspect, presses charges, he’d be out of work, no matter how many domain names he owns.)

Blink, I come here every day and although I have not followed this case as much as KC I am aware that this was an important case for you and I want to praise you for your efforts which have now been rewarded. What a sad reward, however, although I understand that resolution is the most that can be expected in some of these cases. My heart goes out to the family and the children of Christine, another beautiful woman whose life was taken too young.

    TY friend.

I hate to even consider this thought, but if this was orchestrated to make Mike McDermott, who is currently running for House of Delegates, look somehow like the saviour in this, then something is definitely wrong!!!! Joel Todd, who is the Worcester County State’s Attorney, bailed him out of the fiasco where he was taped admitting to committing felonies, so making him look like a hero here wouldn’t surprise me at all.

There is a zero percent chance McDermott will net a delegate seat.

There is a zero percent chance he will look like a savior in this case.

Hey, Blink, O/T but did you survive that 2.6 earthquake in NJ today? lol. I bet you were/are traveling for a case (mebbe to or from Snow Hill), and who knows where on earth Peapack NJ is (although I hear they film the Guiding Light there?).

  19. Katesro says:

Unsure of how to say this. I am relieved for the family. Their sufferring the pain of the unknown is to an end. Now they will endure a new pain for which I hurt for them. God Bless all of her loved ones. May they have peace to bring closure.

The dark side has got their spin up already.

I would call it a joke but its a bad joke.

It’s too bad that Lynn has to be subjected to this type of abuse from people who claim to support Pocomoke’s openly corrupt police dept.

She does not. Nor will she. Assclown Ayers and his “Alter Anonymous’s” have written their final chapter on this alright.
It is not true that someone can “say anything” on the web. I promise.

Did anyone ever expect differently from him? Did anyone think those spending months harassing and cyber stalking people to be completely outed and proven wrong at the end of this would apologize and make this right for Christine?

Did anyone think there would be hive fives to go around with the likes of that cat? Hell to the NO. Making us wrong was his outlet.

Christine Sheddy was murdered. There is gross negligence, imo, in the investigation of her murder, the events leading up to it, and those responsible will be brought to justice. Of that, I have no doubt.

Finally. The gods are smiling and the angels are singing. This case is probably the most profound example of the depth of your work, Blink. This is what it means to lead with fire and vision. Not for the fainthearted. I honor you, dear one.

Thank you dear friend for the kind words, but i do believe Christine was ready for us to “know.”

I had followed the Christine Sheddy case on this blog from the beginning as I have all the other cases Blink has put forward. I send my deepest sympathy to Lynn and to Christine’s children and of course friends and family. And to Blink, I am in awe of your spirit in the endeavors you partake in, you are a voice to be listened to, a friend to those who need a friend the most. The faith of souls united will always conquer the evil that tries to divide us.
    Rest in Peace Christine.

Thank you for the kind words, but it will be Christine’s voice that has the last and loudest word in this case.
    B

  29. Sister says:

I too am glad Christine is speaking. There was plenty of time and opportunity to make right the wrongs that were made. Choices were made and our God is an honorable God and He will honor those choices. Hell to the no — you betcha. McDermott will need to find a different day job, in fact, he will probably have to work at night so nobody sees him.

Blink, I am so inspired by your faith and ability to connect with her ‘angels’. I couldn’t have said it better myself.

I hope you understand the impact your involvement and determination has had on these cases. The light shown on Christine, Caylee, Morgan and other angels helped them find their way to you.

You are my muse. I am being interviewed as a volunteer for victim services with the R.C.M.P. I see the difference you’ve made and I want to help families in their time of darkness. I am scared, which tells me I’m doing the right thing.

    ‘WWBD?’

    In deep gratitude ~L<3VE~

  31. Ragdoll says:

Every stinkin time! I see my typos AFTER I posted but not while I’ve proof read.

Her angels should be ‘your’ angels.

  32. janetoo says:

You know, the “WWBD” comment is true, once reading this sight I for one think differently about situations, conversations w/younger ones, alertness in general. The cute little bracelets like “LiveStrong” have had huge success in getting the word out for many different things, charities I believe have benefitted, etc. Maybe a bracelet should be designed for the causes Blink On Crime pursues and educates and challenges us to spread the word about safety, spread the word to the evil doers we are not just on a website, we are walking and talking human beings who are mad as hell that people take loved ones from us for no reason other than to be grossly satisfied they caused misery and pain to another human being. I’ve never posted this much, 2 times in one day…….the WWBD just got me going.

  33. Sister says:

    “WWBD”
I love it — I doubt Blink will comment, but I will. Well said!!

  34. Gypsy DD says:

Well dear friend..once again we are here and a recovery of the body has taken place. Praise and blessings to good old St Anthony, you mys dear Blink, and Christine’s family.

To Lynn and her family prayers and hugs..Christine will soon be home with you..where you will be able to love and honor her.

And Lynn we will continue to stand with you and your family until justice is served. We know that God and Christine will be giving you the strength you need to see this through. Peace.

Now we will wait patiently while the wheels of justice grind the corrupt and evil people who took part in her murder and the coverup into pulverized brimstone. To those who stood by and did nothing, to those who took Christine’s life and to those that lied, turned a blind eye and covered up….Karma is coming and she is a she-devil bitch. Good luck in your future endeavors making license plates and picking up trash along the side of the road.

  35. NancyS says:

Blink there are NO WORDS to express to you how you have changed my life through your determmination to be a VOICE for those of us that can’t speak.
I know that it is your calling but please pat yourself on the back and I am SURE you have a VERY loving family to be who you are.

Thanks so much Blink and God Bless You.

  36. martha says:

I read above Blink that you are not Catholic but said a prayer to the Saints. I am not Catholic either but I thought it was great that you were reminded of their good work on this earth and connected them with Christine through your prayers. I think we honor God when we pray and any connection to his Grace is a good thing. Hope I said this right. As I have said before, don’t know who you are or what you do but you have helped and touched many lives for the good Blink–even those that are not directly involved in cases but read here.

  37. Gypsy DD says:

Went back through some of the previous articles/chapters here and Snow Hill was mentioned before in relation to Jr and his girlfriend..as well as Domo and other family members.

Hey Domo..it must be getting hot in Snow Hill..hope you were the first one ..if not..well..you should be thinking you don’t want to be the last one standing out in the heat.

  38. Red Ranger says:

#28 Kate Mills- Do you reckon Karma is carrying Shiva in her pocket on her trip to Pocomoke?

Mrs. Lynn’s baby is coming home. Christine’s babies will soon learn to dance again. The donkeys are plodding toward the Greybar Hotel.

Peace, understanding, and strength to the weary. Destruction and misery to the wicked.

I’m a little behind and catching up since I’ve had the last Christine post set on RSS for months and months now and didn’t check for anything new since I knew you were so busy Blink. Now we know what you were so busy working on.

All I can say is – deep breath of relief for Christine’s family finally. They will get the one last thing they needed since this horrifying tragedy began. A place for Christine to rest in their loving embrace forever.

And the backstabbers and dirty nasty filthy anonymous blog posters and commenters will one day find that their words are forever burned in their history and they will have to own them one day. Of that I am sure. Blink I can’t wait for you to be able to tell the rest of the story.

  40. Debi says:

How was it known that Christine was murdered? If they have just found her body now?

  41. chitown lady says:

Congrats Blink. Job well done. Sad that the cops didn’t bother to get off theri duffs and do their job. Answers might have come faster. AT least now her mom can find some peace. RIP Christine….gone too soon….but not forgotten !

It pained me greatly to call out the initial investigators of this case. It pained me a whole lot more to see Christine’s Mother and family mistreated. Inexcusable.
    B

  42. Gypsy DD says:

Okay Debi..have you read everything here? All the chapters..all the verses..and even the “family input” from the question-ables? If not ..go back and read please.

She did not runaway, she did not abandon her children..she was murdered. No one ends up in a grave..unmarked in someone’s backyard unless they have a grave yard there..while the people who really loved and cared about her knew something went terribly wrong on her visit to Pokomoke. Nothing against the B&B owners..but ..my God..did you not check references, as well as back round checks? You have a lovely historic home..what were you thinking..every one is good…not so.

    Heart you.
    B

  43. NancyS says:

Debi you will have to read all of the articles that have been posted. They are all in order from the beginning. It is an interesting but has been a HARD case to follow. Blink has done a terrific job of keeping this story alive and gave Christine the dignity she deserved…

  44. cj says:

This case is what initially brought me to the blink website. While I did not know her, Christine lived one town over from my small town in DE. Its been a very frustrating case with what seems to be incompetence, at the least, on the part local (Pocomoke)law enforcement. I am so relieved that it appears someone is finally talking. It always seemed that a group of people were involved in her death or at least knew what happened to her so it was always just a matter of time. But for her family to have to wait this long is horrible. I suspect someone in that group weilds a lot of power, and hence fear, over the others. Now that one of them has broken the silence the case will be resolved. And perhaps we will figure out why local LE handled the case the way they did. Seems that once it was handed over to a different LE office, progress was made.

  45. midwest mom says:

Blink,Thank you, my prayers are for christines family that they have the strength for what is ahead, tragic…so tragic.

Blink, you are a gift called to do extrodinary things for these families.

God bless you, and may all your little angels guide you in the future.

  46. Debi says:

I remember last year when the mother wrote to Blink, it was the anniversary of her daughter missing…so painful…I can not imagine how horrible it must be to have lost a child, and then to have them murdered also…double the pain..as homicide really never has any closure…someone can be put to death for their actions…but the reason for such a crime never really becomes visable…it takes a long time to aquire peace from horrific deaths.

  47. Debi says:

So, is Levi the one thaat is most likely to have comitted the crime against Christine? Or is is someone unknown?

  48. MQ says:

The oqners of the bed and breakfast are publicly admitting now that Mr Jackson worked for them as a “handy man” and was last seen on the property in 2008. Local media are now displaying his evil mug on the news. The owners are going to have to explain why they employed this man without doing a criminal background check.

  49. melissa says:

What really bothers me is when we saw all the cars coming and going through the neighbors security cam on the night believed to be Christine’s last she was probably being transported in one of them. So sad and wrong. I’m sorry guys but I’ve been told how to paste a link but still too ‘computer stupid’. I’m referring to a Blink article about the neighbors cam with actual pics of that night. It’s early and I am jumbled. I apologize and good morinig to everyone.
