Re:    Identification of Human Remains

On February 26, 2010, the Office of the Medical Examiner for Maryland advised the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation that the human remains located in Snow Hill on February 19 were the remains of Christine Marie Sheddy.

Sheddy has been missing since November 14, 2007.  Since that time, the case has been handled as a “missing person” case by the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office and the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation.  Assisting in the investigation is the Maryland State Police and the Office of the State’s Attorney for Worcester County.

No cause of death has yet been determined.  All involved law enforcement agencies are treating this as a suspicious death.

Because this is a pending investigation, no further details will be disclosed at this time.

Arrest of a Familiar Name

Not to correct SA Joel Todd, but Christine was last seen the evening of November 12, 2007, which is believed to be the night she was murdered at the Byrd Road Farm.

While I respect the release, I have first hand knowledge that 3 detectives from WCBI were removed from this case so you will not find me congratulating that agency. Out of respect for Christine and her family, I will leave it at that for now.

JRJustinJustin Michael Hadel, a guest at the farm home shared by Clarence “Jr” Jackson and his girlfriend Tia Johnson, was arrested yesterday in Tomball, Texas on a child obligation and fugitive warrant.

There is no further comment on any possible involvement in Christine’s murder.

Clarence Jackson is currently incarcerated in Hawkins County, TN for a burglary and arson conviction.

God bless Lynn. I know she was ready for answers and so badly wanted this to be Christine, but it doesn’t take away her pain. Today is the beginning of a long journey- the good part is now the healing can begin. Unbelievable – this guy has given me the creeps since the story you wrote when Christine put Q on the phone with him- I have chills! Time will tell…..Keep fighting the good fight Blink!

  4. Ragdoll says:

I hope this implies Christine gets the last word.

God speed to you and your family xo

O she so does. I promise.

    *Sigh – Big sigh

I hope this brings some blessed relief and peace and the ability to move forward for the family knowing they did everything they could possibly do to bring Christine home.

Tomball County is a little too close to home. I’ll have to check out our local news coverage.

  6. SBeyma says:

Blessed relief! Now my hope is that the truth will come out about how this case was mishandled by WCBI and local law enforcement. No mother should have to go through this and then have the lack of regard by some individual on this case. That has really disturbed me.

  7. Gypsy DD says:

My prayers and condolences to all of Christine’s family and her friends.

This past week must have been very hard for all of them. And now the very hard job of explaining this to Christine’s 3 dear children. What a heartbreaking and painful thing to have to tell these babys that Momma is not coming home and that some very wicked people are responsible.

Lynn, I am holding you and those dear little one’s in my prayers and thoughts.

Godspeed dear Christine..now you can finally come home to your family.

It is so close Blink. So, close I have emailed a few of my friends kids to see if they knew of Justin or Tia from either Tomball or Houston venue’s. Very close to home.

  9. sandyeggo says:

What an awful journey this has been for Christine’s children and family. Thanks to her wonderful, devoted mother and the help of Blink and team, Christine can finally come home and rest in peace. Earlier this year I had posted a note to Lynn saying that I hoped 2010 would bring answers and she responded that 2010 would definitely be Christine’s year. As much as this saddens me that Christine won’t be around to watch her children grow up, graduate, get married, etc., I am beaming with happiness knowing that answers are coming and that justice will prevail. I am sending peace and love to the Sheddy and Dodenhoff families as they finally begin the healing process. xoxo!

  10. ross says:

Blink, can you tell us why the three WCBI detectives were removed from the case?

I can mention one because it is already public record, the others I will withhold comment.

  12. Ragdoll says:

I think it’s been understood that whoever killed Christine was at the party on the fateful night.

Blink, are you surprised by this arrest? Focus has been on Jr. The only thing that ever stood out to me about Justin was that horrible comment (I don’t want to repeat it since it’s a blatant lie). It almost felt like the comment was meant to make him look innocent, in hind sight of course.

Sorry if I don’t make sense. I’m just curious if you saw this coming.

I am not at all surprised and I expect additional arrests of known subjects in this case.

  13. A Texas Grandfather says:

    A Texas Grandfather
There is no Tomball county, Texas. There is a town of Tomball located in northern Harris County, and is a bedroom community to Houston.
Tomball was at one time a rural area of Harris County, but it is now covered with subdivisions.

I am glad this young woman has been found. If had not been for the determination of her mother, the lazy sorry police in this jurisdiction would have continued to do nothing.
All three of the dectives need to loose their state law enforcement license and perhaps be charged with derliction of duty. It is the lazy incompentent law enforcement people that give a bad reputation to the good officers. Shame on them.

Thanks to you Blink this mother had someone to turn to for help. Shedding light on the police work is good. Sometimes the pressure of publicity can get things moving.

The thing that bothers me the most is how in the world does a person or persons operating a bed and breakfast not know when earth has been disturbed on their property. This should have been found immediately unless the operator is somehow involved in this crime.

    Dear TexGramp-

Your correct, but I already fixed Tromball as another proper Texan pointed out. There was a construction project going on at the time, and I do not believe the proprietors of the Inn have any culpability in this situation whatsoever.

Christine was murdered on the farm and buried here. I want to be clear on that. I am certain coming to know that a person’s remains were found on your property is hideous.

Can I be honest? I have to say that when we learned of Christine’s recovery location, I breathed a huge sigh of relief.
I cannot tell you how many sleepless nights I have had at the thought of her being buried in that Hell on Earth.

Having been there, I can honestly tell you the vibe and aura of that place, coupled with it’s delapidation was like fighting to breathe all day. It never left me.

  14. chitownlady says:

My prayers and condolences to all of Christine’s family and her friends. Her mother can now find some peace. If it wasn’t for this womens NOT LETTING GO…..this most likely never would have been solved. Hats of to you Lynn for giving up and wanting answers. Peace be with you. Blink, as far as cops losing their jobs BOO HOO! BOO HOO!
As far from I have read, they could have cared less about Christine. It seemed like a big pain in the butt to them. I hope that also gives Lynn some peace. Well Blink….Yeah done good kid! And if it hasn’t been said before….”all good things come to those who wait” I don’t know who you are Blink, or what you do..But sweetie, you keep doing it. I am sure I speak for all on this sight….WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU and the work you do….HIGH 5……(HUG)

  15. Lexy says:

  16. MQ says:

Who specfically are you referring to when you mention law enforcement? The MD state police are tops in the nation.
I would argue about the “nation”, but I agree they are tops in this case.

  17. MQ says:

You make it sound like the arrest of justin Hagel was in relationship to the vefification of Christine’s body then go on to say it was child obligation adn fugitive. All about the drama.

I make it sound like it is written. And ps. the name is H A D E L.

Your right. What a dumbass I am. I am certain that LE enforces a Federal writ on this thug yesterday for non-related issues. You must be quite the scooper. Congrats.

  18. ES Girl says:

My thoughts and prayers are with Lynn and the entire family. So many people are praying for you right now,and I hope today’s events help bring inner peace and closure.

Blink your team did an awesome job. I live on the Eastern Shore. When I learned that you were going to be working on this case, I was thrilled. I knew that you would help Lynn bring Chrisitne home.

Good luck to your entire team and God Bless.

  19. MQ says:

You don’t want me to start with the inaccuracies you’ve mentioned in this case, for example, Pocomoke is on the Virginia line, not the Deleware line. Again, you prove my point…for you it is all about the scoop. Stop the drama and delusions of grandeur with the “I’ve got more info but I can’t tell you” crap. Law enforcement isn’t going to tell a blogger any secrets.

Really? You need some new lines, your syntax has given you away every time.

If it were all about the scoop why would I have withheld what I have?

Thanks, but who the hell mentioned the zoning overlays- I know exactly where it is.
    B

  20. Sage101 says:

MQ, shouldn’t you be posting as “anonymous” ??

How do you want her to write it?? So that bad people look decent? I am glad
that blink doesn’t “mask” things like other people do.

Lots of love and prayers to Lynn and family
and of course blink, blink team, and blinksters :)

  21. Sister says:

Just one added piece of info about Scott Mitchell. He was allowed to “retire” and thus has his pension. Personally, I hope that is temporary. Indeed, I look forward to Mayor McDermott’s comments on this case, if he’s got the b###s to comment at all. Trust me folks, you will hear his name mentioned again and again. Not as a perp, but equally as bad IMO as a huge dumba## that made sure everything was covered up.
As far as where Christine was buried, if there is any solace in this, which only comes as Blink said from not being buried at the Hell on Earth location, it is this — the B&B is a beautiful sight for such an ugly act. I too do not believe for one moment the B&B owners are involved in Christine’s death or burial.

  22. Ragdoll says:

I could use a new pooper scooper. Know of any?

  23. Kristen says:

I did not know Christine but I followed this story from beginning to now. It’s bittersweet that Christine has been found, now JUSTICE can begin for those involved. My thoughts and prayers goes out to Lynn, Christines childern, family and friends. I want to share this quote that I saw a couple months back that I would like to share with Lynn, “A mother’s love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path” Lynn is very couragous, and stands for what a mother is. God Bless you Christine, you have finally been found and have gotten your angel wings officially.

  24. Carol says:

Blink…hoping this arrest gives you some needed rest. I am amazed at how much time it actually took to find Christine. Pure Hell for everyone involved. HELL!! Huge admiration for the determination of Christine’s family/Blinksters to find her. Of course not surprised, we would all do the same for our loved ones. I had been wondering several months ago why Christine’s story had sort of seized on your site. I now understand that it was beyond your control. I will be patient to read “the scoop” in future days. Hoping we find the truth and nothing but the truth to this tragedy, so that the monsters responsible for her demise are punished to the fullest.

    With love, prayers, and strength.
    You go girl!!

  25. Sister says:

MQ, the drama and trama are about a young woman, a mother of 3, who was murdered. The drama and trama are about local LE who lied, manipulated, etc about investigating this death. The drama and trama are about a Mayor who judgmentally dished this young woman and her family and tried to sweep it under his carpet. Guess what, sweeping things under a carpet leaves a lump and he has finally tripped over it. The drama and trama are about how a few are causing this lovely little town to get a reputation of corruption. The drama and trama are about not investigating the sexual abuse of a young girl in that community.
Blink and her team could care less about a scoop, what do you have? selective reading. What Blink and her team have done is brought, with the unwavering help of Christine’s family and friends, continued pressure to make sure the truth is revealed. Truth doesn’t care what state it borders on. You should be thrilled the truth is coming out, at last — instead, you want to be a smart-aZZ. Makes me wonder if we will see your name in the Daily Times, the Somerset Herald, the Crisfield Times, or the Baltimore Sun. I hope not, I wouldn’t want to even know who you are . . .

  26. Gypsy DD says:

David Lohr has an article up on AOL NEWS about Christine’s case.
    http://www.aolnews.com/nation/article/remains-of-christine-sheddy-woman-missing-two-years-found-in-maryland/19375757

I pray that there are more arrests in the near future. They can run, but they can’t hide.

I also find it interesting that the B&B owners were away at the time Christine was at the farm house and how similar to the placement of Morgan Harrington’s body while the farm owners were away.

Blink do you have anymore info on this you can share at this time?

TY and hugs and peace my friend,

I think we are going to hang for a bit and release a statement from the family Monday. I am of the opinion the focus right now should be laying Christine to rest and allowing her family to grieve.

  27. Kleat says:

Blink, whose syntax could that be? Would he really waste time and for what purpose?

Whatever ‘scoop’ you have in this, a mother has her child, and will have answers and a chance at justice for Christine. Lessons to be learned about arrogance and what goes wrong with police investigations, when it’s some worth little to them, victim.

  28. A Texas Grandfather says:

    A Texas Grandfather
Thanks Blink for clearing this up. I guess I am one of the few people that watch all construction on my property. If I am not doing it myself, then everything is inspected when done by others, including all excavations. Do I trust construction workers? Not at all. Why? Too many times when criminals are released from prison, construction work is the only work they can get. This leads to events like this one.

    MQ…What an idiot you are.

Do you have children? Put your selfish self into this situation.

You take time to post a comment…hats off to ya! Blink has spent restless days and nights speaking for the souls that can not speak for themselves. How dare you.

I suggest you find a “heart”. Please. What a selfish person you seem to be. Sit back….and pray…mediate…something…and God forbid anything as such happen to a loved one of yours. While your at it…pray that your loved ones would not commit such an act.

  31. Mom3.0 says:

I am so happy to read that Christine will finally be returned to those that loved her, and will at last get to RIP. My thoughts and prayers are with her mother, her family and her dear friends, especially Q.

Hopefully justice won’t be too far behind Christine’s return. Blink and team, again thank you for bringing Christine’s story to us… and as for those who would question your integrity, pay them no mind, as they obviously can not be a mother of a lost child. I mean who really cares what border? Is that what is important? I think not.

RIP Christine, knowing your babies are being cared for, and that LE is finally on the case. Blink, look forward to further updates. Don’t forget your gladiator outfit…. Sadly, I think you are gonna need it, my friend.

My condolences to Christine’s Mom, family and friends.

I just read on another site where Christines mom was commenting on not only having lost Christine, but also a son Michael in 1994.God,I have nothing but admiration, and praise for this amazing woman. To have endured so much pain, and still be so strong to not only take on Christine being missing/murder and the drama with the police/corruption,but also for her 3 beautiful grandchildren. No wonder when she came to you for help with getting the story out about Christine there was never a question of if I’m too busy or not.If I can get so much from her writings, she must be that much more amazing to meet in person..Not to be intrusive, but do you know how her son died?

I do. I believe it is in one of my early pieces on the case. He was murdered, beaten up as a case of mistaken identity at a party.

I urge you to read EVERYTHING FROM THE VERY BEGINNING before casting shadows. perhaps you with your devine inner wisdom just might need a new class of friends. Get the drift?

  35. MQ says:

I don’t know if you are all smoking something or just clueless but you’re definately marching to the beat of a different drummer. I don’t see how I can communicate to any of you here so I’ll stop trying.

If the family should read this please know that I am very sorry for your lose. None of my comments were meant to show indifference to your tragedy and suffering that you are experiencing. I hope justice is served and with the MD state police and Chuck Martin as Wor Co Sherriff, I think it will be. If I was aware of the incident when it happened I would have helped in the search. No parent should have to bury a child. Hold her in your heart until you are someday rejoined on the other side.

  36. Lizanyx says:

See, you’re more of a psychic than you’d imagined, Blink. Teasing you lovingly, of course. Actually, sensitivity to such surroundings and energies is a highly intuitive hallmark, which I have always believed is one of your many strengths. Very powerful to be attuned.

I believe Christine’s spirit has been freed and the healing can finally begin. An even more powerful antidote to the vibes you felt. Clear the pathway, justice prevails. Love and prayers to Christine’s family.

The case took yet another turn earlier this month when, according to a source close to the investigation, police received a tip. Authorities are not yet commenting on what the “tip” was; however, SbyNews.com has reported that it was credible enough for investigators to travel to Tennessee.

“They flew to Tennessee to speak with [Jackson],” an unnamed source told SbyNews.

Upon arriving back in town from that trip, authorities went to a location in Snow Hill, Md., and found human female skeletal remains next to the River House Inn. The location is roughly 10 miles from the Byrd Road farm. Jackson is a former handyman at the inn.

In an interview with WMDT.com, Worcester County Deputy State’s Attorney Mike Farlow confirmed that his office had received “information that there were remains at a location in Snow Hill,” but he declined to say how authorities got that tip.

    Blink:

It looks like you have been busy.

Nobody knows for sure how long the Medical Examiner is going to hold on to Christine’s remains, which we are all sure is one more stress for Lynn & family.

We have heard there is going to be some sort of “official fund” set up to cover the expenses of getting Christine properly laid to rest. It will probably be managed through 3-View since they are 501 C3 but nothing is concrete yet.

Your readers have (for the most part) been very supportive and we hope they will help however they can when the fundraiser is rolled out.

It’s unbelievable the amount of negativity coming out from “The Dark Side” where they are begging for people to support the cops that dropped the ball on Christine’s case.

I am going to withhold comment on those issues until Lynn’s statement is completed and due to release.
I would simply add that there has been no arrest directly for Christine’s murder.

It’s wonderful that Christine’s family can finally lay her to rest. Sadly, the pain of “not knowing” for so long seems to have been increased by the dismissive and disrespectful condut of the authorities who should have been leading the charge to find answers. Blink, I follow your blog regulary, but have never posted a comment. Just wanted to tell you that your efforts are appreciated by those of us with a thirst for answers and justice. Thanks to you, working with the victim’s family, Christine and the search for her whereabouts were not allowed to be dismissed. The discovery of her body and the “unrelated” arrest of one of the main players at the Farmhouse party should provide LE a good opportunity to start prodding for more information and unearth the truth. I hope the current LE team handles it strategically and gets what they need to make an arrest(s)and deliver justice for Christine. Looking forward to your updates.
