I am wondering why no one is discussing the case. Is the show still on? or is it over? let me know what you are all discussing as I can’t ever get the show and I am basically computer illiterate kinda……

I couldnt listen to the radio, usually I dont have problems …I will try later , though
I totally agree with B on the SO topic. We are failing our children as society as whole. It angies me so much! Have 2 sons myself..cannt stop thinking about little Kyron, sickening story..I still cannt wrap my head wround the 10-11 days strategy. It was nerve racking to read, listen and guess everything …Hope the little innocent kid is fine somewhere waiting to be found!
Blink, thank you for posting the name and the picture of this POS !!! I never doubted your position, you are such a strong human being ! Please , dont give up
Looking forward to listen the Dana’s show from last night

    Will watch for the link!

Joran did not know what he was doing, he wasn’t thinking, so he apparently said in his confession. If you don’t know what you are doing, it’s just a reaction without thinking, it can’t be ‘my fault’. Interesting that two people, one a relative (cousin?) said of Joran, that something’s wrong in his head, and another, a politician (aruba or nlds) said he would love to see an psych evaluation of Joran, that with so many lies, he is living in several different realities.

Wonder if a psych evaluation is done as a matter of course, in Peruvian investigations, or ordered by the judge to show whether he’s competent and knew right from wrong. (of course we know the answer, he’s calculating and cold and knows exactly what he’s doing even in his fit of anger– and he even blames the victim by many hints that she caused his reaction by hitting him first).

Blink – I just saw Melissa Huckaby reading an apology to the family of Sandra Cantu at her sentencing today. She received LWOP. If she had opted for a trial, she could have gotten the death penalty with a murder 1 conviction. Do we know WHY she killed Sandra? She states that Sandra did not suffer and that she did not sexually molest Sandra. She does seem to have remorse, and she does not seem to be a psycopath – but it’s hard to understand WHY she killed Sandra and stuffed her in a suitcase. She pled to murder 1 – which means premeditation. What gives? Oh – and she said that SHE ALONE is responsible for her death.

No way I will ever believe that she alone is responsible, or that there was no sexual motivation of some kind.

I think it will take many years of Huckaby being behind bars and away from the other persons involved before she reveals what actually happened here.

  10. TR says:

Listened to my first podcast and I found it very informative. Like many people, I had my doubts about the stepmother at the start of the Kyron Horman case, then I changed my perspective and ruled out that thought. Now, I’m torn. I felt Clint Van Zandt’s doubt when he discussed the family not being ruled out, and I noted Blink’s absolute disbelief in that notion. I agree that the family appeared united except for a sense of chill coming from biological mother toward stepmother. But,I felt that could have been a personal issue…such as maybe an affair many years ago…who knows and not our business. This case remains absolutely baffling and tragic.I suspect Blink is right when she says we will learn more after tomorrow and the school year ends.

I have to go to work, but I just did a quick look to see what they have in traffic cams. I wonder if they got anything off these.
I haven’t even looked well enough to compare roads they are looking at w/ the map. Maybe someone will be interested. I have to leave.

This might be the facebook page of young Aruba woman who will be interviewed tomorrow night on ABC’s 20/20. She claims to have had Joran (aka ChiChi or Wiggles) as her first love.

The link to the 20/20 page with a teaser video for tomorrow night’s show titled “Joran van der Sloot’s Ex-Girlfriend on Dutch Playboy’s Other Side”.

  14. Kleat says:

WAIT one minute, Blink may just already know all about this, right? Seems not only is Chris Cuomo listed on her other links she likes, but so too is ScaredMonkeys.

Are these people coming out of the woodwork now to get their own slice of fame or what?

  15. NancyS says:

I got accepted to John Ludwicks facebook page. he wants this to give him a break into show business. he says all the blogs are discussing him and I told him that I hadn’t read any blogs bout him at all….I guess there are blogs out there talking about him?

He is suppose to be on Cnn agan tonght. we shall see?

  16. Kleat says:

NancyS, you made contact with him? He may be sorry that he’s tied his shorts to Joran’s coat tails. He won’t be alone there once more ‘friends’ hit the media trail with their stories.

  17. Shortcake says:

He is now supposedly retracting his statement and says he only confessed because he was told he would be moved to The Netherlands.

  18. kp-in says:

    Blink,

I sadly admit, I watched Nancy Grace last night. ha Will you be doing a update on his case? I would like to read your followers comments. I simply cannot believe they would consider letting Joran walk.

  19. Kleat says:

kp-in, don’t worry about what NG was hyping as a ‘possibility’. In last 3 hrs, aol.com (I can’t speak to it’s reliability) says the ‘confession will not be tossed’.

There was no way in h double toothpicks that would (or will) happen.

  20. Kleat says:

(except David Lohr was contributor to the story– but we know his comments/accuracy have been questioned in the TES NeJame situation recently. But he was probably reading the story off the wire anyway, so should be fairly reliable)>

  21. Kleat says:

I think Lohr was trying to scoop the story with his headline designed to head the news search that was deceptive– decision still to come.

    O my.
    Thanks for posting Kleat.
    B

  22. kp-in says:

    Thank you. Kleat.

I really didn’t see how they could let him walk. But with money an power backing him, who knows?

    Thanks again.

  23. Kleat says:

Here’s a video report of the latest news:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAojWaklQbc

It’s half in Dutch, later a Peruvian reporter in Spanish. Anyone understand what the Peruvian is saying? A camera as contraband? Holloway could be in serious trouble?
