North Garden, VA– A registered Sex Offender, Eric Micheal Howell, whose residence is adjacent to Anchorage Farm, the location in Charlottesville where 20 year old Morgan Harrington’s remains were located, is a wanted fugitive according to the Virginia State Police website.

Although he registered on June 10, as assigned, there is a warrant out for his arrest. It is unknown if Howell is involved in the circumstances of the disappearance and homicide of Morgan Harrington, or if he is wanted in connection to any recent grand jury activity. Check back to blinkoncrime.com for updates

Update: Warrant is from Albemarle County Police Department for an unknown misdemeanor charge. An attempt to serve the warrant was made and Police were unable to locate Howell.

The charge from ACPD according to VSP spokesperson, Corrine Geller, is not related to the Harrington murder, and he is, for the time being, in compliace with the registry as of June 10th.

There is no pending charges on the Albemarle County Clerk site at the time of this post.

    No worries, re: Morgan’s memorial

    ——————————————————————————–
To Crabber, Fender, and powers1980: No worries about Morgan’s memorial. It’s completely intact and unaffected by the storm .

Glad to here that. I hope the Harrington’s faired well also.

People tend to believe there are an Army of worker bees at VSP working Morgans “case”. I disagree.
I think there is a lead detective that shares a secretary with several other detectives. I am sure in the beginning this lead had several others assigned to him. As time goes by they are assigned to other cases.

Anybody have any idea how many are actually working the case right now? Warm bodies? Man hours?

What excellent news! Even if EMH isn’t the “ONE”, he might just lead to who is! Justice for Morgan, Gil, Dan and Alex! We’re here to the end.

I’ve been reading on here just like always, but have been over on the Kyron thread. I live about 4 hours from Portland and have been heartbroken by this newest missing case. And then yesterday, I found out there is a missing Dad and his 22 month old daughter about a half hour from my hometown. It never ends, does it?

I felt a bit of Morgan last night. We headed out with a friend and her boys to the oceanfront to watch Sozo- Led Zepplin revival. When we arrived there was an unusual amount of hippie looking folks of all ages, many wearing tydie tshirts. When low and behold parked right next to us on the grassy patch was a pastel colored vw bus. They were selling t-shirts out of it. It’s one of those feelings you get, like oh my god, that is too weird. So, then there we sat, and a girl comes by with her 2 lighted hulahoops. I had the strangest feelng come over me. Like a little glimpse of Morgan. I bet she would have loved watching this band right alongside the beach and big beautiful sand sculptures. Anyway, I recall Blink saying that fellow here in our threads was from Va bch, so I dont know if there was an association. Sign read Peacefrogs.com.

The bad part of my story was, my 10 yr old was missing for like 10 minutes. The band was playng stairway to heaven, and I saw him and his buddy to my right, by the tables that had been set up for beer sales. ( they were closed). Next, I see his friend looking around side to side, no little buddy. Well, I knew what that body language was, and I freaked. My husband and I went around in circles thru the people. The band was done and people were leaving! Ocean to your right, roads/cars to the left. Omg, someone took my little man! Everytime I circled and passed my husband and he was empty handed I had to run the otherway. Then my girlfriend reminded me we set a designated meet up point at the entrance to the hotel area, I zoomed over there, and he jumps out with his blinking star necklace. I almost died. I thought how could this be when I know so much about how this all can go terribly wrong. Neither boys know or will admit why they separated for that brief moment, but all I could think of was please dear God don’t let this happen to my child. I told my husband who was going to throwup, that’s it, no wandering, getting icecream etc. My girlfriend is more permissive, and it is true, when our ‘I am uncomfortable meter’ rises it is for good reason. Stop what you are doing, something is not right. It was on my mind all night, almost like I willed it to occur. But we were blessed last night, and I don’t know how many chances you really get.

  8. Georgie says:

Yes, I definitely hear the crickets now….comments have really slowed down, I imagine with no real new info, people are thinking this has become a cold case, and I’m wondering that myself. I still check in every day, but just don’t know what more to say. We have turned over every rock, it seems, and still have not flushed out the snake who did this to Morgan.

The Boyd’s Tavern thing has never been far from my mind, thanks acho, for checking it out and filling us in. So, if freaking-out guy stopped and asked for directions, obviously he/they were from out of town and not familiar with the area. But then how did she get to AF? Or maybe it was a group of people who knew the IMMEDIATE area in and around C-ville, but once they got on the wrong road, were completely lost. Did they have a sick Morgan in the car, and in trying to find help without calling the cops, run into a local EMT/FF who “took over” and put Morgan in his vehicle? Sort of a tag-team deal. I know, far-fetched, but this case has come to a standstill, I don’t think LE has a suspect in mind, and I don’t think they know what happened to her any more than we do, so I’ll just continue to throw sh!t out there until something sticks.

DNA has to be back by now, but not a word from LE. This is not encouraging, and I imagine the Harrington’s are at wit’s end by now. I will not stop coming here and commenting until justice for Morgan is complete.

    Acho re: 46-
First, be careful. I agree “that look” is probably caused by drugs, and/or their life experience, likely. I believe Mom 3.0 remarked on his (possible) abuse at the hands of others, and how sometime the cycle continues. A true point. Certainly no excuse, and there seems to be little value for life from alot of the guys. ( Again, be careful.) I had hoped a long time ago that drugs perhaps being some of the cause of this terrible situation might help unravel it, too. I am a little surprised at the deterioration on his face since he initially came into our view. I remember cringing when he was called the “cute” RSO, but, he was. I mean a young girl might go with him, especially back then, but he is scary looking now, if you are looking for it.

I agree with you wholeheartedly that it is impeding the investigation on a lot of levels, are they (LE) using this opportunity to delve into Morgan’s case as they come up with these other arrests? Getting good info in a roundabout way? Is it through her case they are coming up with more arrests? Is the time and effort still as strong? Do any of these suspects know, or care enough to help? Or is 3 hots and a cot better to them than what they currently have-so who cares? Why talk? I have a couple of young men in my extended family who feel this way. It is sad. I have no explanation for my feeling, but I have always felt the truth lies in what this young man may know. My gut feeling, though, is what I earlier said to Fish, I feel a good change is coming, and I hope for the Harrington’s sakes I am right.

Take care, and I always read your posts with great interest!

Eloise….I got chills reading your post. I’m sooooo relieved your little man was/is safe. Thank God all is OK!

All it takes is that one second….that one blink of an eye.

I’m still hoping for a break in Morgan’s case. Although I know it will happen, the waiting is horrific. I simply can’t fathom what the Harrington’s are feeling. Come on lady justice…..the Harringtons need you, but most importantly Morgan needs you. Morgan needs and deserves justice.

Sweet Morgan….show us something, anything if you can. Help those trying to solve your case.

I went to look at Morgan’s impressive art on the findmorgan site.

While there, I viewed the YouTube video of Gil showing what OMNI does (thank you, Gil; as a donor I am glad to see the real difference the team makes. I’ll give again next year and in years to come, and when my children are a bit older, I hope I can go and help).

After viewing the video, I have to ask this killer and all who know who he is:

Do you understand what you’ve messed with? Do you know, does it sink in at all, that these were the most wonderful kind of people in our society? She was not from a snobby family. This was not a pretty girl who cared not for your kind. She CARED. Her family CARES, and in snuffing her out, it all backfired for you. You enabled Morgan to teach and touch perhaps more people in this world than if you’d just let her be.

Gil, I am so happy to read she had a true and wise mentor who is taking her “essence” to Nepal, and to see the glimmers of light in your recent writing. (Morgan’s mama, indeed!)

We are all here, still rooting for you all and for justice.

  14. Dan Harrington says:

Morgan’s website http://www.findmorgan.com has been updated and a new section on the main page has been added under a tab call “Gallery”. The gallery contains Morgan’s artwork which was produced over 12 years. Gil and I have added titles. It shows a broad array of interests and types of work from computer generated to oil to …mixed media. She got her art talent from Gil.

Also on the page is a new tab called “Market” and under the tab we have a link to the tee shirts. Hope we can add other items with time.

Gil and I always thank you and appreciate your help. Keeping Morgan’s story alive is important to solving this case.

Morgan’s gallery is amazing but some of the art made me gasp. Made me wonder if may be some how her soul knew. Puzzled Face and Driving. Red barn for one reminds me of a pix I’ve recall seeing of a barn at Anchorage Farm. Could she have been there as far back as 2006?

investigation. Did Morgan ever go to AF in the past 2 years?

Hello to Blink and all my good friends at BOC. I haven’t posted for quite awhile, but am still here everyday, reading and waiting. With no new news, I haven’t had anything to add, but I read here every morning and again at night. I’ll be here until the killer/s are found and arrested and justice begins for sweet Morgan and her family. Thanks Blink for continuing your great work and I know beyond a shadow of doubt that you won’t give up. I’m truly greatful for that. Thanks to all of you for hanging in there. I know you feel the same way I do and none of us are giving up.

I’d like to say thanks to Dr. Harrington for sharing Morgan’s beautiful art with us and the video of Gil on her mission. Both are so touching and truly inspiring.

  23. DCsteve says:

Back in January when Morgan was found, (and from this article dated in February) the Harringtons said DNA testing could take anywhere from five to six months to complete, which means August timeframe.

    http://www.c-ville.com/index.php?cat=1991704080566501&act=post&pid=12031802100761366

Remember, you’re dealing with a state bureacracy, a laboratory backlog, and Virginia forensic state lab is not under any obligation to treat Morgan’s case any differently than any other homicide.

Honestly, I don’t think DNA results are back, and it won’t be until the end of the summer when all results are back that we’ll have any real developments in this case.

    IMO.

  24. alexandra says:

Gil Harrington is a beautiful person, inside and out.
I recently found cousins in Zambia. Priviledged Europeans living there for 3 generations. What a contrast to what I see on the OMNI video and the FB of my young cousins and their friends living a short distance from Ndola in Kitwe. To think that someone like Gil, would give of herself as she does in Africa, all the while there is an entire society of priviledged Europeans living there, and it doesn’t seem they are the least concerned with their needy compatriots. It takes special people to care enough, Gil Harrington is a very special person.

I only have a minute, thanks to you all that had your stomach in your throat for me as I did. Whew!

I am going to say, I was very interested in Morgan’s art work. I felt a very strange feeling of familiarity. I wonder, might she have had any art classes or the like with anyone else we may have discussed? Like a crossing of paths noone is aware of? My daughter is very artistic also, but maybe you must live in northern VA to draw some of the items I saw that seem to be a common theme? Trees, swirls etc. It maybe that this case is just too spooky for me and my imagination has gone totally wild. My husband thought the same thing. She was in teaching, what was her minor?

    B

How can you be so sure she had never been to AF before? I doubt her parents would know everywhere she’s ever been. Did her trustworthy (wink wink) friends confirm this?

Since Morgan is obviously unavailable, the best info I have is confirmed via the Harrington Family, LE and residents of AF that she did not know the Bass’s and had never been to AF.

For the record, and I mean no disrespect, but I think my sentiments on the friends is clear, and I would not consider them trustworthy.

New Blog from Gil Harrington for June 28th, 2010

    ——————————————————————————–
    Note to a monster:

Listen up, there is karma or fate or destiny. Evil may rule for a while, but eventually, inevitably, without fail, the pendulum swings and your reign will be over. I’m ready. Your clock is ticking down. Any time now, good will prevail.

I understand this in a visceral way, just like I understand you. We are obscenely linked opposite mirror images. I created Morgan’s life force and birthed her. You destroyed that life and murdered her. I felt her first faint fetal movements. You felt her final death rigors. I knew Morgan as an embryo. You knew her as a corpse.

That corpse will not rest. Morgan wants justice. I hear her whispering in the ears and softening the hearts of those who help you hide. They don’t like what you’ve become. Your call to violence has become a blood lust and you are a monster. They grow frightened, knowing the truth will out. A day of reckoning is coming!

    Morgan 2 4 1

    Goosebumps. She is 100% correct.

Meantime, poking around a little at things that look related in some way might eventually help to uncover something.

    Fish and All,
I am still here for Morgan and the Harringtons, and always will be!
Like all of you, I want nothing more than
for these killer/s to be caught and put away forever.
I am so very disappointed that Va LE has NOT kept Morgan’s
    name in the public.
    I only have 1 question….
If this were YOUR DAUGHTER, would you be pleased with
    the job LE is doing?
I would have to say HELL NO!”

Gifter, I might just have to say that agree with you on LE’s job performance. Just the part about their silence to the community.
    Why, necessary?
Somehow, I believe that they should have been more forthcoming in information related to Morgan’s case early on and now. People, as in Blink, always say go with your gut feeling and I have always tried to do that. I pulled my kid from UVA camp this summer because of no information. Big deal, I am just one but I try to make my voice count. Matter to that kid of mine.
They always say something to the effect that they “do not want to jeopardize the case”. Ok, I totally understand that. But, I’ve got a gut feeling that something more could have been said early on, that may have led us to Morgan quicker. Put the “Bad Guy” on the run faster, making him breathe heavier, sweat harder.

How does LE know it wouldn’t of worked? Years of experience? Well, what they have done so far, hasn’t worked. But, that my friend is hindsight and sometimes I’m a “Fish in a Chinashop”.
But, I can’t help but think we should have learned from the missing and found deceased before her. Maybe we have not learned that much, other than, LE goes silent and the “Bad Guy” laughs at this.

“I really do hope his family are so proud of him”
(sarcastically said with distain when we learn of your name!)

You ask if I, we would be satisfied with the progress made in Morgan’s case. I would have to say that if she was my daughter and she could be…One would find my butt on Copeley Bridge in a lawn chair, day in and day out, night after night.
    Why? I don’t know.
Just maybe someone’s, SOMEONE’S MOTHER would stop and tell me where my daughter was taken & why then, he killed her.
(Hey Mom of the murderer of M. Harrington! loud yelling voice to you!)
You would know where to find me, her Mother!

See, I was sick to my stomach when I left Charlottesville, back in November. I felt I had let her Mother and Father down.
I know that sick, sick, painful, stabbing, puke in your throat feeling when you have no idea where they are. The Harrington’s knew it a helluva lot longer than I did.

I can only imagine their 101 days of pain and now their lifetime of living and dealing with her murder. Thousands upon thousands days of grief.

Now, I’m not saying they are not doing what they shouldn’t be. They are! We are different. They spoke in front of Congress. At that bridge, to UVA officials, the State Police, the FBI.

Mrs. Harrington felt the pain and loss of another little child in Africa. All the while, feeling the loss of her own. Her own baby. What incredible kindness and if I may say so, balls! No offense to her! She writes what she feels and knows deep down. This is what I write and feel deep down. I stand in awe. I wish my own Mother could have seen this. Seen her and the playbook this woman just wrote for all families of murder victims. Do not kid yourselves; this is what this woman has done.
They are heroes to me. To us all. They will always have my support and I will always speak loud and clear about their murdered daughter.

    (Lump in my throat, sadness)
I watched a mother slump on a couch, never moving. Not being able to, she was frozen in fear. The fear of the unknown but what we all knew deep down but were afraid, so afraid to say. She was pleading for someone, anyone to find her daughter. She sat stunned. I wanted to run and did, in and out of the house, down the street and back. I needed to find her. To be there in the present because I was already so late.
We all do react differently. Maybe LE is reacting differently in Morgan’s case. Maybe this is how they are coping or trying to solve her murder. The so-called “Cricket, cricket” theory.

I cannot help but think, Why is it that everyone in this case, goes silent? Never saying a word, even Law Enforcement?
Friends that never stand up for their friend. Never speak up for her. I guess too busy being a wrapped-up mummy and a goth, dead girl picking up a Mocha Latte at Starbucks???

I have been in and around vastly different groups of people who grieve from catastrophic, tragic losses and let me tell you one thing, as a side note…it doesn’t matter if poor, rich, black, white, or purple with polka dots. Life goes into slow-mo. You begin to handle the business of their being lost, then of being gone, of a little, creepy, icky, scary feeling on the back of your neck that just makes you want to sob all the while, fighting or fleeing.

Fighting for justice and fleeing from the pain left.

People do this. Maybe I’m not explaining myself clear enough. Families want the justice for their loved one, for society, for piece of mind that they did all they could do.(BTW, Gifter, this is just my opinion and really when it comes down to it, it does not matter for crap. Just offering you up a perspective from one who has been there. Twice! I’m no professional and not a least bit special)

The Harrington Family are the truly special ones.
Unique, just like their daughter was and will continue in the legacy her Mom and Dad carry on in her name. They will see to it.

Do I wish that LE would come out for an update?
    Who doesn’t!
They should. Really, Gifter, it is the “RIGHT” thing to do. Even if nothing is said from an investigative point of view.
How about just saying her name out loud and in public again?!?

    MORGAN DANA HARRINGTON, MURDER VICTIM!

Hell, if they want me to read something I will. No problem. Maybe, they need to see if from this perspective. If they can somehow solve who did this to this girl, then they can move onto the others that need attention. Families who need help. Not saying that I know how to do that, I don’t. Not my field of expertise like their chosen field or Blink On Crime’s chosen field.

I just know that if HE thinks HE got away with this, I propose this…October 17, 2010
(or if not sooner), put it out there, really put it out there, who did this or let it fly in the community!!! Like papers blowing in the wind or would that be libel? Slander? (I know, I know, I got it, I’m just sayin’)

So, that in return, we do not patronize the business they have or work for! Decimate their name. Smear their so-called reputation.
Whether it be, George Huguley(alledged murderer of Yeardely Love) or Eric Howell(VA Register Sex Offender and who was for a brief time, wanted) or the any other spineless cowards who did this to her…

    MORGAN DANA HARRINGTON.

Yes, decimate, they way they decimated Morgan.

Do I believe this is what we all should do? Well, Noooo, ok sorta, kinda, maybe! What we have been told is enough information for me. Her parents stating that she had broken, shattered bones. Why the hell do we need to know anymore?
She lay dead in a field for 101 days!!!

    My vote…Decimate!
No apology will be given from me.
    Enough said.

Ps. FWIW, I tell this to anyone who asks my opinion on this matter. Not just on an internet posting. See, her Momma said a long time ago, Morgan matters.
    Yes, Gifter3, she does!

  32. fish says:

    -Blink On Crime:

It’s a given if there were multiple people involved in her murder or in the coverup after, then one of them had to know Anchorage Farm and the entire North Garden area. There is history and families that have lived here a lifetime. They know who’s who. Who transversed that land and not just Anchorage Farm but anyone who has ever run off any kid ever! Even if years ago and they were kids shooting squirrels.
I’m thinking that the locals would have talked about these kids at The Trading Post? As you say…NO?

Maybe a billboard does need to go up in North Garden?

    And,

this is a really stupid question but if a family member even if a Mother or Father, step or other, turns HIM in, would they be eligible for the $150,000 IF they did not have anything to do with the murder or coverup?

What if they knew who placed the t-shirt?
What if they knew where the boots, camera, necklace were?
What if they remained silent for this long but just suspected?

Sorry if these are really stupid questions. Please remember I’m just someone who wants a little word called “justice”.

Eloise, glad to hear everything turned out ok.- I too could imagine Morgan walking by you all at any moment- I thought it was brilliant that you had a meeet up spot.

Morgan’s artwork- Thank you to the Harringtons for sharing some of Morgan with us. I loved the pic from when she was younger wondering what it would be like if her puppy had puppies and she was allowed to keep them all- so funny and sweet and talented.

Her later work -stunning-whimsical, hauntingly meaningful-

I believe Gil and Dan chose wisely which pieces to share. Each one says something and would speak to certain persons very strongly I would imagine.

Blink, since you felt strongly enough to comment that Morgan had never been to AF nor did she know any of the Bass’- that would eliminate a view scenarios.

Can someone remind me of “The Barn” IIRC Morgan and her friends would talk about the barn- but I do not recall what was said- or who posted about this- Anyone?

HummingBird- thank you, you are such a beautiful, caring person. I am here, every day, just not too vocal lately- I am honored that you think of me when you hear Misty Mountain- Ditto- HummingBird.

Eloise I just found out that a friend was at that same thing at Va Beach, and I thought of you and your boy. So glad all turned out well.

Does anything about the 3200 block of Red Hill Rd ring bells for anyone? (I’m genuinely wondering, not trying to be cryptic.)

I agree. Morgan wants justice. May the day of reckoning come soon.

Like the drawings done by Jenny at the 7 mile sleepover???
    ^^^^^
Yes, Jenny & or whoever. I think Morgan’s work was outstanding. What a cool thing for her parents to have to cherish.
But,..it does make me ponder the similiarities I mentioned above. I just wonder if she may have known someone or shared an art interest with somebody who may have visited AF and participated in the drawings?

I’ve not been AWOL from BOC recently; I’ve been reading and “observing” as I’m able in between the distraction of some serious, personal medical issues. [The ER, hospital, cardiologist and I have become fast friends of late.] No worries, though; I’m a tough ol’ bird.

I could not agree more with Gil Harrington’s 6/28 blog, especially these words:

“…your reign will be over. I’m ready. Your clock is ticking down. Any time now, good will prevail…” and “…the truth will out. A day of reckoning is coming!”

    Word, BG……..

There’s our dear friend. I did not feel it my place to let folks know what you have been up to, so thank you for doing so. You are missed as you know, but my first concern is always with you taking care of yourself.
    *hugs*
And get back here with the clean bill of health please.
    B

  38. Observer says:

Thanks, B. I appreciate your recent discretion:-)) [After one more visit to the hospital and cardio. yesterday for more tests, and one more visit to the cardio. this Friday I expect (read: hope) to be running at full capacity. I kept telling the ER/hospital staff and attending last week that I simply did not have time for this nonsense; I had things to do, a challenging job awaiting, a dog to walk, a home to attend to, etc. They were predictably unimpressed.]

My apologies too that I failed to mention in my last post that I recently received and placed at Morgan’s memorial a rock kindly sent in from Sandy, OR. [The last week has been a bit chaotic, made moreso by the devastating storm that hit CV. The good--and remarkable--news is that Morgan’s memorial on Copeley remains untouched and unfazed by the storm that left trees down and broken asunder just across the street at the Lanningan RV Lot.] The new rock from OR is a bright, sparkly rock, just like Morgan. A special thanks to the sender whose name I did not catch.

It is so nice to see Miss Morgan’s life celebrated through the good works her family is doing. Hope we are close to celebrating an arrest(s.)

Thank you, Observer, for checking in. Sending good wishes your way. Please take good care. Sara

Eloise – thank God you found your son!!

Mr and Mrs Harrington – once more, I am an awe. Very powerful post to this Monster. Both you AND Alex are just simply amazing, wonderful, caring, loving people. We are your army, we stand behind you, we will not leave.

Mr. Monster – if you read here, read this – this holds true for all species, you mess with a mothers young, you better watch out cause Mama’s coming. Combine that with the old saying “Nothing like the wrath of a woman scorned”. Then, mix in a little of “Daddy’s little girl”. You got all those ingredients in this bowl with a little extra dash of a bunch of people who never met Morgan but who have come to love her and the Harringtons and who aren’t going away. Gil and Dan (and us) will never rest until you are caught, and make no mistake, YOU WILL BE CAUGHT!! There is no such thing as the perfect crime. Tick Tock. The truth will catch up with you and so will Lady Justice.

Observer – glad to see you post. Sorry to hear about your recent health issues. Please take care of yourself there friend!

The following link may help you jog your memory. The closest addy is 3198 but you can search every single address if you want by plugging in the house number. In some cases, it will even give you photos of the dwelling and any vechicles, atvs, farm equipement, etc…

    Hope it helps.

Great dna that kid of mine! Plus, she is a great dog walker!

Rest as much as you can, stay away from caffeine, meditate, exercise, and take two aspirin and call me in the morning. Ha Ha
That’s all I got. Laughter is really the best medicine.

Happy thoughts are with you. Don’t overexert yourself walking to Copeley. We all need you here to continue the fight for Morgan!

Thanks everyone (re: 3200 block Red Hill Rd). A woman drowned in a pool there on Sunday, seems totally unrelated, but as there are families of interest in the vicinity and my memory was that we’d looked at that part of the road before, I wondered if it triggered anything for the rest of you. Sad for this woman.

Adair- yes drugs can effect peoples eyes- but I would imagine part of his parole is drug testing?- I agree past abuse suffered is not an excuse- I brought that issue up- because there could still be those that hurt him and those he hurt that may still be in the area…

Asking again, does anyone remember Morgan and her friends talking about “The Barn?” Can someone refresh my memory to what was said?

Albemarle County Police are investigating the death of a Charlottesville woman who died while swimming at a residence on Red Hill Road Sunday afternoon.

Police arrived at the residence on Red Hill Road around 4:15pm Sunday and found 46-year-old Sherri Ballard, of Charlottesville, unconscious.

Rescue units and police responded after Ballard was found unconscious.

The exact cause of death is still unknown.
    ———-
Acho, I saw this on the local news page as well and find it very curious that much like the boy James Melvin Brown, no comments were made on the article. You would think someone in that area would know this person or live in the area and make some sort of remark. Ironic since Newplex shows it is one of the most viewed articles.

Secondly, I wondered if the name Sherri Ballard rang a bell with any of Blink’s readers. With no new news on Morgan’s case, I don’t know how many readers are still following this thread and would research any connections.

Thirdly, The article says that Police are investigating this and that the cause of death is unknown. Kind of makes you wonder. A 46 year old woman would typically be in good health (speaking as a 40 something woman – LOL).

There is 1 comment on this link by a Theresa Jarrett from Windham, ME: http://www.topix.com/city/charlottesville-va/2010/06/police-investigate-swimming-pool-death:

Sherri, You are the best there is!!! RIP to my lifelong friend!

I wonder if it was one of those above ground pools or one of the more high end – in ground pools that you might find in an area that is known for large acreage and $$$.

Blink, any word of this with your local LE connections?

    Not related I am hearing.

A Charlottesville man is behind bars and facing a litany of charges after leading police on a car chase Monday evening.

The Albemarle County Sheriff’s Office was conducting selective enforcement along the Route 20 corridor around 6:30pm Monday when a sheriff’s deputy spotted a speeding vehicle. The deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle failed to stop and proceeded down a logging road in an attempt to elude the deputy. The suspect was seen throwing a gun out the window of the vehicle, and he later fled on foot into the woods after the vehicle became lodged in a ditch.

Law enforcement officers set up a perimeter around the woods and were able to take the suspect, 35-year-old Ronald K. Norman of Charlottesville, into custody.

Norman was found to be intoxicated and in possession of a schedule 1 controlled substance. He was transported to the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail.

Norman is charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, attempt to elude police, DUI second offense, possession of a handgun and a schedule 1 narcotic, possession of a schedule 1 narcotic, driving with a revoked license and speeding.

    ————————-
The article doesn’t state which side of I-64 this Route 20 incident happened. Rt 20 north of I-64 is Charlottesville to Barboursville/Orange. Rt 20 South is C’ville towards Scottsville (and turn off to Red Hill Road)…

Anybody able to research his criminal records??? Says he is a convicted felon.

  50. In Memory of Gini says:

Doing a people search, I found a Ron K. Norman from Culpeper. If this is the same, I wonder what he is doing in Charlottesville driving drunk, with drugs, guns and no license????
