Portland, OR– Late this evening, blinkoncrime.com has learned from a source close to Terri Horman that she expects to be arrested at anytime on possible charges related to endangering the welfare of a child.

TerriInterview

It is not known if those charges are related to the disappearance of her 7 year old step-son Kyron Horman, or her daughter, Kiara Horman, 18 months.

Following the filing of the and restraining order by Kaine Horman, Terri’s estranged husband and Kyron and Kiara’s Father, the restraining order was subsequently sealed by the court on Monday.

However, under Oregon law, for primary custody to be awarded without mutual agreement in this phase, an emergency ex-parte order must be filed. That requires a fairly heavy burden in the immediate threat area.

This is all adding up to a very sad conclusion for me, folks.

First, we’ve got The Family Statement (minus Terri) released Monday:

“We have been fully briefed by law enforcement on the on-going criminal investigation.

We are in complete support of that investigation. We have asked the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office to facilitate releasing this statement for us due to their access to the media/flash news.

We understand that we have free access to the media but are limiting statements to the media to keep the integrity of the investigation intact.

Any actions taken by the investigation, or by us, are based on the best interests of Kyron and Kiara and comply with the law. Beyond this, we have no comment on the matter.”

Got to say… I’ve had a baaaaad feeling ever since the term “criminal investigation” was used following the initial groundswell of search efforts. To me, that says, while short a body, it has been determined a crime was committed and, as such, resources were shifted from recovery/rescue to collecting evidence for beyond-a-reasonable-doubt identification of the suspected offender and his/her eventual prosecution/conviction for the crime.

In other (read: fewer) words, the emphasis is on criminal responsibility now. That likely means there is reason to believe Kyron is no longer expected to be found alive, and it’s time to enforce the law against the person(s) responsible for his death – even if, in Terri’s case, she only suspected of being guilty of endangering his welfare. (Though, as opposed to many astute thinkers here, I believe she – and she alone – is directly behind his death.)

As far as the seemingly dragged-out nature of the case, there is, of course, something to be said for the old trope: A watched pot never boils.

But, more to the reality of the situation, detectives assigned to this investigation have to abide by the consitutionally guaranteed rights of the accused throughout its course – that’s why we have not seen an arrest yet, imo. I think (as B has noted repeatedly) they are building a case here that can be prosecuted based on someone’s *intent* to do harm. (And the specific question in this instance is: Who had the means, will and way to intentionally harm little Kyron?)

I also agree with B and other posters on this thread that the procedurals in the case – and its seeming veil of secrecy – totally reflect the Susan Smith situation: i.e., *dual* investigations, with one out in the open and the other hush-hush until the “shocking” arrest was made.

To wit, there was the “public” investigation in the wake of a desperate, sobbing mother’s police report and pleading press conference – here, LE searched for Smith’s allegedly “carjacked” young boys and the alleged kidnapper; the other was “secret,” wherein Smith herself was the focus. While these separate probes were being conducted, LE couldn’t be truly certain which one would be successful, but ultimately they were able to get a confession out of Smith by confronting her with the evidence uncovered during their under-the-radar investigation.

I’s with B – I think we’re about to see that happen here.
This was further underscored on June 26 by Kaine getting Kiara, a powerhouse family attorney, and the F outta Dodge. The fact that he was able to successfully obtain emergency legal custody (without Terri present at the hearing) through Oregon’s FAPA law shows he was able to show the judge that Terri’s ability to access him and Kiara put his child in immediate physical danger.

5 years ago I took care of Kyron at a daycare (he was ages 2-3).

I saw his step-mom and talked with her at each drop off. She was very kind, very motherly.

For the past few weeks I kept thinking…they look really familiar, then I realized I knew her during her body building time. She was dedicated to that new hobby and seemed to enjoy it.

Her older son was very well behaved, and was loved by Kyron-I don’t recall feeling any concern at all. He helped read to Kyron on the rough drop off days. Not one thing in my mind raises a red flag about her behavior then to what is going on now.

But, that is what’s scary- it’s usually someone you just would never have suspected. It’s heart breaking to think about.

As for the dad’s job, my husband works at Intel and it’s a job where you might have manditory meetings all morning but can work from home as well. Depends on exactly what he did. Most engineers are flexible and Intel wants to enable you to work from home if you cannot come into the office for whatever reason. His being home at ‘odd’ times to everyone else could have just been a thing that even our family is used to.

No speculation there. It’s interesting reading everyone’s comments. I’m more of ‘innocent until proven guilty’ not visa versa, but this case is so strange that that’s hard to apply- even having once known this family.

Skyline Parent– Email From Today

Dear Parent of Skyline School:

We are sending this follow up email because we do not believe that we have received a response from you or your child regarding your and / or their observations on June 4, 2010 at Skyline School. Sometimes we have received partial responses from families, and we just want to make sure that we have all the responses from everyone in your family who was present that day.

We realize it is possible that the reason we haven’t received a response from you could be as simple as the fact that you were not there that day.

At this point, it would be helpful for us to know that as well. A simple reply to this email with your name and the information that you were NOT present can assist us in taking you off of our list requiring follow up.

If you or your child WERE at Skyline on June 4, and you haven’t yet responded, please take a moment now to do so. The questionnaire is attached for your convenience. You can either print it, fill it out, scan and send back OR simply respond in the body of an email. Please remember to include your full name as well as your child’s (or children’s).

If we do not receive a response, law enforcement will be contacting you personally later this week. A quick response saves resources, and is much appreciated.

Thank you.

This Just In…

And, as B would say: “Uh boy.”

According to Terri’s hopelessly “helpful” backwoods publicist, “Terri Moulton Horman was ‘blindsided’ by the divorce papers, according to a close friend.

“A friend of Terri who wished to remain anonymous, told KOIN Local 6 Kyron Horman’s step-mother was caught off guard when she was served divorce papers as well as a restraining order from her husband and Kyron’s father, Kaine Horman.
‘Terri didn’t know she was going to be hit with divorce papers or a restraining order,’ the friend said”

(http://www.koinlocal6.com/content/news/topstories/story/Terri-Horman-may-talk-to-the-media/Dz4uMChK60KCWjy3W5FG4Q.cspx)

Oooookay. When paired with the gist pieces of the Family Statement (strategically released the day before the divorce “bombshell” got dropped):

“We have been fully briefed by law enforcement on the on-going criminal investigation. …Any actions taken… by us, are based on the best interests of Kyron and Kiara and comply with the law. …”

This can only add up to one conclusion, the way I see it. Kaine, Desiree and Tony were advised by the Sheriff’s Office last week on Terri’s impending arrest. (And Kaine was likely further advised: Lawyer up. Leave. File. Wait.)

    Kaine has a long way to go to establish his lack of forethought & planning in a Kyron-gone-missing scenario…he’s as capable & culpable as Terri, & desperately wants to be “Bossman” – to the point he’d break up the family, e.g. send her son James packing. Not exactly a nice guy, & in fact, seems like a dirty ess-oh-bee to me the more I think about it…especially given his paternal heritage & sibling. I fear for Kiara with him…he couldn’t handle Kyron alone, he doesn’t give me the warm-fuzzies whatsoever, & without someone waiting in the wings like he had Terri doing prior to his marriage with her, (which may be the case for all we know) I just don’t see him performing at Intel while caring adquately for Kiara. And to tear the little girl at such a tender age from her Grandmother & Mother makes him a heartless monster, IMO.

    What caused Desiree’s kidney failure (which resulted in her friend, Terri stepping in to care for her baby, bringing James along and ended up marrying Desiree’s husband to gain everything that Desiree had).

    Could it be that Kyron was the only tag end left of Desiree in her new family and that through his loss, her new family was all HERS?

    This morning’s ABC GMA guest, Garrett, suggested that there was something behind the child’s disappearance, if Terri did it. Kyron was the only link in the chain that was not all Terri’s own.

  4. Kleat says:

    And why would an American travel to Canada for medical treatment? Could it be that Canada would take care of the bills and bill the patient, who could simply then leave Canada for the USA, and the medical bill responsibilities behind? Good luck for MSP to recover in these cases.

    Again, what caused Desiree’s kidney failure and why leave the country and your son? Something is hinky about this… was there some assisted manipulation in these events? Who benefitted?

  5. Kleat says:

    (oh, Garrett made no speculations about motive, the last sentence in my post about Kryon being the only link, was not anything he said, just my speculation)

  6. Kleat says:

    With Kyron’s disappearance, any future potential for being an organ donor for his biological mother, would disappear with him.

    It IS odd that she never mentioned that Kaine was with her. Perhaps too caught up in memorizing/reciting the events in her mind to remember to mention who was with her at the time.
    In premeditation I would imagine that one goes through the possible scenarios many times, over and over, until one knows it by heart and then believes it. Very much the same as an actor would prepare for a play. I haven’t heard much from her but the lack of what she has said may say a more than what she is actually saying…if that makes any sense. But of course, as always, this is only my own unprofessional opinion.

    The idea that Kaine forcibly terrorized SM and took away her children heartlessly, is well… I’m just going to play nice and not finish that thought.

    Suffice it to say, there is no evidence of the sort.

    I was combing through the videos of the Friday morning news show junket of Kaine & Desiree in order to find her comment about not having been friends with (or having known?) Terri before Kairon was born. Five interviews; 4 national shows and one local; and she did not mention that in any of them.

    ————–
    The video in question was done by a local Portland station Koin6. Unfortunately I can’t find the link right now. It was at the end of a 20-minute interview, but I must’ve deleted my history from Friday and am having a hard time finding it on their site. But the interviewer mentions to Desiree about knowing Terri before she was Kyron’s SM, and Desiree said not true. Will post later if I can find it.

    No amber alert because he didn’t meet the conditions. They had to know he was abducted (which LE said he was not) and a description of the perp. and/or their vehicle I believe.

    ~~~~~~~~
    JustAnotherMom – I agree about the weirdness of Tanner bringing up his father in that interview. But, what bothers me more than that, was that Tanner heard that a Teacher Helper supposedly told the teacher Kyron was missing and the teacher said “he’s probably in the bathroom”. Why wouldn’t Tanner speak up and say he saw him going downstairs at that point? There’s also the idea that Tanner “goes on about his day” then doesn’t think anything weird about Kyron being gone till the bus ride home???? Does that make sense? Not to me. You would think after about a half-hour that Tanner would’ve wondered why Kyron hadn’t come back from “the bathroom”, even if he didn’t mention to the teacher. Also, being that they are deskmates, didn’t he realize that Kyron was not there ALL DAY? He just again realized on the ride home? That makes no sense at all. What WOULD make sense is if the teacher said “Kyron is at a Dr. appt., his SM took him this morning.” So then Tanner would go about his day and think nothing of it, until his dad hears on the news that nite and calls to tell him about it.
    From the beginning, Tanner’s story hasn’t seemed right. I agree he seems coached.
    It does seem kinda odd to me. But then again, there was so much kept quiet by LE from the very beginning, that I’m not 100% surprised it took till the parents’ interview to come to light. Personally, I don’t see why there was a need, on anyone’s part, to keep it quiet about the ice cream or Kaine being at the bus stop; but apparently for some reason LE did.
    NancyS, What I have heard is that the 16y.o. actually showed up the day after Kyron went missing; and that he had been scheduled for a week’s visit. His bio father I believe, commented that the 16y.o. stayed a little while to help search, but bio father decided to take him back home the next day? Maybe feeling he couldn’t really help anything.
    School teachers aren’t always angels (although the majority of them are pretty darned close). When I was 9, my elementary school counselor taught math to a small group of us. It was the gifted/talented class and he was by everyone’s account a great teacher and caring counselor. He was funny and great with the kids and he had 2 kids of his own who attended that elementary school as well. He went home one day, shot his kids, his wife, and then himself. I found out because he didn’t show up for class the next day. No one ever saw it coming. No indication of it (or so I was told). This happens everywhere. Kyron Horman’s disappearance happened very close to where I live and it really hits home. And now all I keep thinking is poor innocent little Kyron. Such a cute and happy looking little boy. Please just let him be ok. Please jut let him be alive and found soon :-( I’m going to bed on this note.
    ~~~~~~~
    I would not believe this whatsoever. LE has been adamant that both Kyron and SM were at the school on June 4th and have several witnesses to back that up. I don’t know where Nancy is getting this from, but she’s also still espousing the claim that Desiree and SM were best buds prior to Kyron being born; which Desiree has debunked herself. I would take anything NG has to say on the matter with a salt lick. She is just now jumping on this story at the last minute, and it seems to me she has not bothered to ensure information has been vetted before it makes it on-air. It’s unfortunate, and it not helpful at all when this case has been on big ball of confusion from the beginning.

    “Maybe I’m just to stupid to get it. Where’s the evidence? A child endangering charge for leaving Kyron inside the school? By all witness accounts he can be placed there right? Everyone freaking out because of divorce papers? Somehow pointing guilt to murder? Some people even commenting guilt because he had a CSI T-shirt on. Get a grip people, it’s a T-shirt. How about her having an affair (like I said in the beginning)? Perfectly explains her mis-matching story and the recent divorce papers. Doesn’t prove murder period. No hard evidence, confession, or body, you have no case. Granted, this whole damn case has been bizarre from the start, but a halfwit defense attorney would have a field day ripping this case apart. …”

    CovertCCW – I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt that you’re not “too stupid to get it,” but
    you citing a lack of “evidence” and submitting that the (no longer theoretical) defense team would rip the presumed case against Terri Horman apart has me a little baffled. Since when does the public know the evidence against a person of interest in a criminal investigation before he or she is actually arrested?

    As far as the divorce papers, I disagree with your assertion that they have “everyone freaking out.” It’d be more accurate to say that, despite LE’s veiled investigative process, many of us speculating on what *is* known of the case felt Kaine’s “surprise” divorce filing and related restraining order – when everything was, according to the soon-to-be Respondent, thumbs-up “good!” – solidly underscored the theory that Kaine et al were/are being briefed on the investigation into Terri’s involvement in Kyron’s disappearance… and Terri was/is not.

    I do, however, agree with your last line in this comment:
    “I can’t wait to see what the prosecutor has as a basis for these charges.”
    Me neither.

    Um, I understand playing Devil’s Advocate, oneshot, but the above comment tips into being ridiculously uninformed and judgmental – and offensive to the LE officials who have worked this case day and night from the first day Kyron was reported missing. Your conclusions that Kaine – a seemingly “dirty ess-oh-bee” and “not exactly a nice guy” in your eyes, who “sent James away” – isn’t even based on the kid’s father (Ron Tarver’s) unverified, possibly-taken-out-of-context remarks on the matter (which seemed to allege *Terri* sent her son to Roseburg).

    But more striking are your assumptions that you *know better* than the county judiciary who granted Kaine a PFA and exclusive custody of Kiara without delay – without even summoning Terri’s opinion, it is again worth noting. That means his petition for protection from his wife was Powerful, supported, and beyond dispute.

    Also, it’s kind of obvious that this court procedure occurred while Kaine, Desiree and Tony have been under the guidance and advisement of LE, in regard to the case – a relationship (sans Terri) that they described in Monday’s public statement that *LE* released to the public on behalf of the direct family, including Kaine (i.e., those *not* under criminal investigation related to the disappearance of a young boy).

    I don’t know you beyond your moniker, oneshot, but I dare say I trust the judgement of the State Oregon’s legal system more than your half-thought-out presumptions that do not at all reflect the fairly obvious reality on the ground in Multnomah County.
    Just sayin’.

    Well said, J2K-

    Like it or not people, Terri Horman has done something to warrant the removal of her child from her care.
    As I have stated repeatedly, this is rare-
    She hired a criminal defense atty, not a family law attorney.
    I do not expect the media to succeed in un-sealing the PFA, as I believe it has grand jury testimony

    Just a little update on James and this will hopefully put to rest at least some of the rumors/questions. He is indeed, living with his bio dad, step mom and family in Roseburg and seems to be doing very well. When he first moved here, in January 2010, he lived with his maternal grandparents for a short time. He is active in a local scouts group and as previously mentioned, he was away at a special weekend camp with his dad,step brother and a group of scouts, when Kyron disappeared. The family owns several horses and other animals, which James seems to thoroughly enjoy. I’ve viewed literally hundreds of photo’s, showing the obvious contentment in this young mans life, in recent months and over recent years, with his bio dad and family.

    I also know for fact, The Tarver’s agreed to only one media interview and that interview was completely taken out of context. Needless to say, really, but this has been very upsetting for this family to read and hear about. My heart truly goes out to James…who must be sick with concern and worry not only for his little brother, but also for his mother and baby sister. At 16, this is a lot to digest and process, especially with the media hounding him. While I do agree it may shine significant light on this case, it really needs to be approached by a person who is well trained in adolescent counseling of some type. It would be a disgrace to further harm this poor kid, dontcha think?

    Sure, I’ve also had some theories of my own…but have resorted to stepping back and let my heart to the feeling and the law do the thinking~not always easy, let me tell ya
    end

    Now if I may ask how a person is quoted out of context as to someone’s whereabouts? Tarver stated in the article that James was living with Grandma and on June 5th went for a preplanned visit with his mom. How does that statement get twisted when if he actually answered he was at scout camp? Sorry, I just don’t see that. You are also saying he has been living with is dad since January, bio dad says James moved in with Grandma in March. Twisted words again? Again, I just don’t see a reporter getting it that incorrect.

    oneshot and others (comments I’ve read about working from home, Intel, etc):

    Intel is a very, very understanding place to be when you have personal life stuff going on – if you’re a valued employee you will be treated with kindness, understanding, and fairness. I have had to perform at Intel while taking care of my little girl for a few months now. Luckily, I didn’t have to ‘tear’ her away but her mother isn’t in her life much right now (2000 miles away). I work from home a lot, am able to make up work and time when my girl is asleep or at preschool – it is a very flexible situation. In my situation, my girl is much happier in general than having to be with an unstable mom.

    June 4th is a friday, I would say friday is by far the most common day for folks to work from home.

    Also, if Kaine is an engineer (which I’m fairly sure he is) Intel issues engineers work laptops. This is basically your laptop with some expected acceptable use guidelines. If I was asked by police to have my laptop included in the search I would say ‘No, but you can search the rest of my house’ and contact Intel Legal about the request.

    Another opinion – there’s no way I could handle a baby alone while still working and getting paid, ensuring insurance, etc. Don’t fault a guy for that. Being a single dad isn’t HARD but it’s incredibly time consuming.

    If you go back to my post just a few up from yours, you’ll see an explanation of James’ whereabouts. I also know for fact, he was not up at his Mom’s over this last weekend~so no, he could not have been the one who made the 911 calls.

    I still think it’s a very strong possibility the ***911 calls and the RO have something to do with TH’s mental status. First call was regarding a ‘threat’~suicide, maybe? Second call lead KH to take the baby and leave, which if someone is threatening to harm themselves, it’s nearly an instant approval for an RO when a minor child is involved~in the state of Oregon… ***NOTE: Just speculation and my own opinion on the 911 calls.

    People keep mentioning the rumor that LE recovered a body early in the investigation. I’ve wondered if people have confused this case with that of a runaway teenage boy who drowned near Portland. His body was recovered from a river soon after Kyron went missing. Here is the link to an article about the drowning:

    http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/06/third_drowning_prompts_reminde.html

    On Oakes’ website (I followed a link from another post on this site), he claims his search dogs found a sock. He doesn’t say whether it’s an adult’s or child’s sock. He states they will search again tomorrow and notify the police if they find more clothing. ?????

    If Kyron never went to school the day he went missing, and I assume that means he didn’t attend the science fair with his SM, how do you explain sightings of both Ky and SM at the school by other people, including adults? The confusion over the doctor’s appointment could be an honest mistake. TH may have informed the teacher of the appointment as soon as she made it in case she later forgot. Assuming Kyron disappeared before class started, when he didn’t show for class the teacher may have remembered TH telling her about a doctor’s appointment and convinced herself it was that day (deciding that either she remembered the date wrong or Terri had been mistaken about the date). I still believe that another adult – very likely a female parent with whom Kyron was acquainted – coaxed him out of the school building via the unsecured door. I think Terri’s connection with Kyron’s disappearance is limited to her involvement in some illegal activity, and she is reluctant to incriminate herself although doing so could be the key to finding Kyron.

    I agree that the whole family is a bit – to put it politely – atypical. I’m inclined to think that the relationships and personalities were unconventional from the beginning. Terri was already in Kaine’s life before Desiree divorced him and may have been a factor in the divorce (I agree with the person who stated that Desiree probably granted Kaine and Terri custody of Kyron after she was well enough to take care of him herself because she didn’t want to disrupt Kyron’s life, and perhaps because she didn’t feel she could raise a child on her own. Since she had been ill, did she have steady employment?). I would guess that, with several marriages gone awry, and deducing as much from the picture of her and Kaine, Terri has always had somewhat of a “wild” nature. I’m sure Kaine was aware of this when he met her because that wildness is probably what attracted him to her. But, Kaine may have settled down as he began to focus on supporting a family, and fully expected that his new wife would do the same. Terri, on the other hand, may have only delved deeper into some disreputable activity. I really don’t feel comfortable analyzing their personal lives, but I do believe that the life choices family members have made are what led to Kyron’s disappearance, and so understanding the family profile is crucial to determining what happened to Kyron. Might Uncle Kristian and TH, and possibly BP, all be linked to some illegal activity such as drug dealing, pornography or prostitution, or any combination of these? These people do have criminal records. I hope LE will have this mystery resolved soon, and that it will lead them to Kyron.

    Here is part of NG transcript from tonight June 30. The part “he was never at school” is taken out of context in the comment above. NGrace is saying he never made it back to classroom. Nothing new there.

    “GRACE: It`s my understanding, Heather in Indiana, that they did not, that the parents only discovered Kyron was not at school that day, or so they say, when they went to the bus stop together and he didn`t get off the bus. Then they find out he was never at school. And what that means, Heather in Indiana, is stepmom says 8:45 AM, she sees the little boy, she walks him down the hall, they get to his door, she leaves. He never made it in that door, Heather in Indiana.”

    Thanks, all, Kaylee, nana2, heat, & FLGirl with the links to the mystery man story. And JackieBower, I did finally hear the interview where Desiree said that she did not know Terri before Kairon’s birth; it was on Koin and I saw it when directed to the mystery man article. Thanks.

    Outstanding site. Just a quick thought from a devoted lurker…It has become increasingly obvious to me that some of the parties being discussed here are actually participating. Googling a user name or two has made all my alarms go off…or I have become a babbling idiot from following all these scenarios. Thank you Blink for job so well done here.

  25. TunedIn says:

    Blink: If you think is not appropriate just let me know.

    Justanothermom asked about JB Doerge who appears in the picture with BP. On the US Facebook he goes by the name of JB Doe. His profile has the name of jaybizzel88 which tracks to two facebooks accounts in Denmark and Spanish Chelsea Fuhrer is friend on all three accounts.

    I keep trying to come up with scenarios that have a happy ending even though my logic is not as optimistic. The only hypothetical situation I can come up with, that includes some of the very basic info that we know for sure is this….
    What if Terri isn’t a monster. What if something bad was going on in that house and she felt she needed to get the children out of there. She could send her bio child to live with his dad. She could hope that she would be able to protect her young daughter, but what about Kyron. She legally would have no rights to him. Maybe she sent him away with someone thinking it was for his best. That would explain why there is no body, why no one saw any struggle or stranger. If she did take him from school and met up with someone who has Kyron now. Maybe she is passing portions of the polygraph, like denying that she hurt him, and failing portions such as do you know where he is. That would explain the 2nd test. That would explain her non basket case type of behavior.
    Feel free to shred this hypothesis apart. I know how far fetched it is, but I just want so badly to believe he is safe.

  29. Scooby says:

    Leah,
    Thank you for your post. That is something I have also been looking for-a scenario that could have a safe, happy ending.

    I am still trying to figure out if there is confirmation that his glasses have been found, or if that was speculation. If it’s true, that’s probably not a good sign.

    I really hope they find this little boy soon. Even if it’s the scenario Leah mentioned, he must be really missing his family.

  30. LPB says:

    KH gets a family lawyer and TH gets a criminal defense attorney. Seems logical to me. However, that doesn’t get us Kyron home. I want to know who is hiding behind the screen. I read a rumor(?) today that a woman in VA was interviewed regarding Kyron and 2 unidentified people at her restaurant. That is along way away from Oregon. That would have issued an Amber Alert thoguh, so I doubt there is much stock in it.

  31. RollerMonkey says:

    Blink: Desiree’s recent statement is that Kyron is still alive. Is this wishful thinking? Do you think family and LE actually have realistic reason to believe he is alive? I only ask because I want him to be alive so badly! You might not be able to answer, I’m just wondering if in your experience you think he might actually still be alive? What if Terri had Kyron taken by someone because she was mad at Kaine and is jealous of Desiree’s life now? Maybe Kaine has been mean to her in the past. We really don’t know what’s been going on inside that family. If she’s been hurt, she might be lashing out at Kaine. I just want Kyron to come home. That is the only thing that matters. Once he is home, Kaine and Terri can address any issues they have. Kyron is just a little boy! Terri if you are reading, please do what you can to get Kyron home. I know what it’s like to be hurt and demeaned by a man that you’ve done everything for. But keeping Kyron away is not the answer. Please do the right thing, even if people have done you wrong in the past. You’ll be stronger for it.

    It seems that everyone connected to this case is into outdoorsy stuff, so if kyron is still alive, I bet he’s camping with someone and has no idea he’s even missing.

    RE: Question 32 “VIDDA” — Any link for VA info? Hope you could share, thx

    Isn’t one of the screen names “supposedly” used by Terri Horman “HOPEINVA”? It would be nice to believe Kyron is somewhere in VA and Terri is trying to give somebody a hint. I know it isn’t likely, but I wish it to be true.

  35. Brooklyn says:

    Authorities have not yet called the Kyron Horman’s disappearance a kidnapping, but they’re describing him as a “missing endangered child.” The FBI has joined the search. [dated 6/7] msn news

    I am re-thinking why the FBI was called in for the search? Anyone have any speculation on this, based on the statement today from the Bio Mom, “Kyron is alive!”

  36. Brooklyn says:

    On another thought;
    Kyron is removed from Desiree’s home,
    16 y/o son is has moved from Terri’s home,
    Kryron is missing from Kaine’s home,
    and now baby is removed from Terri’s custody.
    Alot of family dynamics going on.

  37. Lori D says:

    I just saw the video. For people who’ve just found out their son is alive, I thought they all looked pretty sad. It makes me wonder what else LE told them.

  38. LPB says:

    Since Terri hired that lawyer presumably she’s got to tell him her side of the story, right? My question is …IF Terri knows or has any information on where Kyron could be, or who has him, and tells the lawyer, or he figures it out by himself, is that lawyer obligated to tell law enforcement?

    Lori: I believe the nature of the relationship between a lawyer and client stipulates that any information the client shares with the lawyer must be kept confidential. This has been on my mind because, now that Terri has hired a criminal lawyer – and a prominent one, to boot – is there any reason why she wouldn’t tell him everything she knows about Kyron’s disappearance? Then, if SM does in fact have an idea where Kyron is, wouldn’t the lawyer have the resources to conduct his own investigation to track down Kyron and his abductor(s)? Or, did I watch too many lawyer/PI television shows in my youth?

  42. Hadley says:

    Psychologist, Dr. Bethany Marshall, said on NG that SM might want to get back into her “body building fame” and Kyron was in the way. (Just like Casey wanted to party, and Caylee was in the way)

  43. Faith says:

    I don’t think Kryon is alive anymore. It doesn’t make sense that he could be. If he were really alive and Desiree really believed that she would have talked to Kyron via the TV camera to hold on and that they were coming for him. It is something LE requested to be done because they felt would help the case. She and both of the fathers with her did not look hopeful.

    I feel the SM delivered him to someone close to her. Perhaps that person had feelings for her or wanted him out of the picture because of something Kyron knew or perhaps sexual abuse towards him by someone very close to her and/or the family.

    She is obviously protecting someone. Hopefully not her other son. But someone who is very close to her. Or someone that can do more harm in some way to her. Whatever or whomever she is hiding she has a very STRONG commitment to. It is hard to believe she would be committed to this for so long and feel this strongly for something so serious. It would appear she has cut off any feelings she may of had for her stepson. She knows there is no rescuing him so it would benefit her more to say nothing.

    I don’t think she ever was interested in getting Kyron back. She never voiced any concern over his loss but was more concerned about how she appeared. She may be protecting someone or thing that will cause a whole layer of other information unfolding she doesn’t want out.

    The whole area of Portland, especially parents want this to be resolved. I think we are all holding our breath in unison waiting for news this has been resolved. We want Kyron back. We want to know he is okay or at least for him to be returned to his parents so they know.

  45. Sparkling says:

    OOOOpps ,

    I hid the wrong button. The final line is a dead link, no longer available facebook wall of TMH.

    There was never meant to imply that Kyron was an abused child, at least not by anything posted by this blogger.

    I have read in about eight different stories that Terry came into Kyron’s’ life as the live in sitter at an early age, but that TH and Desiree were NOT acquainted prior to his being cared for by TH. So, how much does one believe ??? I guess just depends on which camp is putting the spin on things. I also caught TH had a very biting, snarking attitude towards anything Desiree or Kyron connected. This I gathered from reading old, old posts in all types of formats and forums. She liked to get her MEAN 2 cents in wherever they were concerned.

    Someone mentioned they were surprised Kaine LEFT the residence and took the baby and moved out, but possession is 9/10ths of the law and since he POSSESSES THE DEED in his name only, that tells me this union was not made in heaven. I wonder if both the vehicles are in his name only? Not very normal in my book for being in a family dynamic. KNIM….

  46. Annals says:

    Karen & Lori; I’m glad you brought up the topic of Terri having engaged a lawyer. I have been wondering what impact this will have on the investigation.

    From leaks, we are lead to believe that Terri lied to police about her whereabouts on the day of Kyron’s disappearance. For the sake of discussion, let’s assume this to be true; Terri knows important details she has not divulged. And furthermore, let’s assume that these undisclosed details would put her in some legal jepardy. If this were to be true and IF she now wants to divulge, but with maximum legal protection, now that she has a top attorney, she might speak more freely.

    Alternate scenarios: 1) She has already told investigators everything she knows. OR 2) She is ultimately unwilling to divulge the truth. In either of these scenarios, I assume her attorney will enhance her ability to remain silent.

    Anyone have any other ideas of how events might play out as per Terri now having legal representation?

  47. julie says:

    Blink,

    According to the reports I have seen here through links, etc and on the news KH called the police from his home SAT evening around 5:30pm and again around 11:30pm. Both were 911 calls. He left the house with the baby and filed for divorce and got the RO on Monday. It has been said that something he found out after TH’s 2nd polygraph led him to file for divorce and get the RO. Ok, so he finds this “stuff” out, goes home or stays home (I don’t know where he was during TH’s LD). And….after finding out the info. he stays at home. Then he calls 911 at 5:30pm and stays in the family residence. Then he calls 911 around 11:30 pm. Then he takes the baby and leaves.

    Now if the new info. put he and the baby at risk, why on earth would he stay at the house with TH, then call 911, then continue to stay at the house with the baby for 6 more hours. If my baby was in danger, I would have had the police there while I grabbed a few things for the baby and myself and I would high tail it with the baby to safety. If one feels imminent danger, one does not hang out in the presence of the danger.

    I am not saying TH didn’t do anything. I’m just saying the reaction is odd on the part of KH.

    Part of a transcript from Nancy Grace CNN last night regarding Harry Oakes:
    “HARRY OAKES, INTERNATIONAL K-9 SEARCH AND RESCUE: Well, we brought in search dog Willow, search dog Tyler (ph), and introduced them to what`s called cadaver scent, searching a variety of areas. And both dogs alerted at a specific location along a houseboat area. We brought a second search dog team in today independent of our search dog teams, and they confirmed the location. But again, all we know is a dead human. We have no idea who it is.”

    Ugh. Do I even need to address this?
    B

  49. NancyS says:

    Well it hits me as odd also on why he would take the baby and leave the house as number one if someone gets a restraining order it is normal for them to keep the house and let the kids have as much normalsy as possible but what I am getting out of this is that, Teri is not the perpetrator and that there is someone ELSE calling the shots. Maybe why bio mom is pleading Teri to cooperate, maybe it isnt Teri from whom the threats are coming from?
