You said”…Anselmo has been in federal custody on an illegal reentry charge since the beginning of March.”

Have I missed something? Have a link to that?

Blink’s Anselmo was booked into MCSO on July 8, 2010 on a U.S. Marshall’s hold. Here’s the MCSO booking page:

someone mentioned why Terri is so silent & never hears her speak-
she has been very quite but she makes up for it in drastic actions-sexting a husbands friend after her step son goes missing-? Going to husbands gym & tells employee that she is going to abduct her daughter. SHe has yet to come on TV & beg for Kyron’s return or beg to see her own baby girl – its so beyond strange.
    &
Actions do speak louder than words-

I agree with LPB on the comment about regurgitating alot of info already discussed, but I must add that sometimes when those issues are brought back up we do learn new information.
Jackie, I’ve been looking for a news article about my comment earlier about the polygraph, nope I can’t find one stating what she passed, nor can I find one stating what she failed. Like I was sayin’, for me anyway, it’s food for thought.

Thoughts and prayers are with Kyron, his brothers and his sister.

Sorry if I offended anyone with my suggestion of adding a FAQ section. I thought that may make it easier for Blink. I have been reading here for a long time and I have kept up with the info that has been posted on here just fine, but I know for someone just finding this blog things can be confusing.

This was my first post and it seems like everyone immediately jumps down my throat for me trying to be helpful to new readers. It was just a suggestion.

@Macy…no worries Macy…great idea…faq would minimize the wild speculation, rampant guesswork and amateur theories. However it may also diminish the appeal of the site many of us enjoy. I have thought a ‘techno-cork board’ like one might see on cop shows would also help to separate fact from fiction. But again…what would we talk about?…And alas, the format is brought to us by our gracious hostess, and for that we are all (mostly all) appreciative.

    Now…WHERE IS KYRON?

i bet that some discovery would be announced on Friday! (which Fri is irrelevant).
Media and family oddly release statements and videos of significance on the day of the week KY went missing.
This story coverage has been indeed strange and seemingly backwards (discussing Dr. appt just now and still failing to provide facts; basically, Kaine thought this, Terri said that….or unidentified source states this…., i can go on and on).

    There are the facts?!!!

Over a month child is missing and public still does not have clear understanding of what took place in school that day, for crying out loud :(
If LE is asking for public $$$, then public should know fundamental facts (no need to disclose POI or what LE believes have happened until they are ready to charge).
When remaining family of KY implores Terri to communicate, LE states she is cooperating, and then, next day, family implores Terri to fully communicate – what a circus!
Sadly, while this “show & tell” activity goes on, little child is still missing….

Kyron baby, may God look over and comfort you where you are.

  8. Midwest Mom says:

    Blink,

We know that up till June 26th, any statements were made by the family, which at that time included Terri. The family remained silent with the exception of the press conference where Kaine and Tony read their statements.

We also Know that the questionnaire released was also approved by the family, which at that time included Terri.

    http://www.flashalertnewswire.net/images/news/2010-06/1276/36184/061410.SchoolQuestionnaireadobe.hm.pdf

    Statement from Kyron Horman’s Family:

(snipped)We are sorry that we aren’t there today to stand with investigators, but please know that we fully support the release of this flyer. We want Kyron home and we hope this will help do that.

    http://www.mcso.us/public/newsroom.htm

Also Kaine has stated that the home that Terri and he shared was searched many time. IIRC without a search warrant.

    http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/06/kyron_hormans_parents_reveal_n.html

I have always had an issue with the questionnaire, not that it was distributed, just that it was suggestive. And I feel that they should have had all parents faces and all parents autos on the front, because at that time all people should be a person of interest.Well until Kyron is found and we know what happened to him, I believe everyone should still be people of interest.

Terri was supportive of the questionnaire being distributed locally and nationally when she already was aware of the public perception.

Question to you: Would the release of the questionnaire be indicative of someone who is guilty or innocent.

I dont think that is really an answerable question, they may be wholly unrelated.

I’m sure I’m not the only one that has posted something that has already been talked about, but sometimes new information is learned that way…yeah I know…I already said that.
Even though I try not to go back to old subjects people sometimes post things referring back to earlier findings that differ from what I read about them when they happened and I like to clarify facts when that occurs. If this isn’t acceptable please let me know so I won’t do it, I’ll go back to just reading and keeping quiet! :)

I enjoy yours posts and am glad that I am not the only one out here. While I don’t think TH is someone I’d want to be around much, there are so few admissible facts in this case. It is just really hard for me to jump on the band wagon and close the door to the many other possibilities. Add to the mix all the character traits that play either favorably or unfavorably into the publics view of the main parties in this case and you have a huge mess of speculation and mass hysteria. I don’t see any evidence that tells me TH hurt Kyron. I see lots of evidence that she behaved badly. But even the MFH thing is really weak (hence no arrest for this felony conspiracy and attempted murder). Weak. Sure, people love to hate her. But until there is an arrest AND a conviction, I am going to consider her innocent of murder.

@Cathy, that was 100% not directed at you I promise. I just picked that example out of my head because I know “are they his or just a replica?” gets asked all the time by lots of people. I honestly didn’t see your posting about it. It just seemed like a good example of a piece of information that could appear in a “fact sheet” type or place. I would never (and I mean never) want to try to help one person’s feelings, by hurting another person’s feelings so it wasn’t at you at all.

I also agree with you that each time it gets brought up and discussed, is one more opportunity for a “click” moment when someone says something that allows someone else to make a connection or suggest a new idea. So I don’t think it is a waste of time at all for items to be discussed repeatedly. At this point with a lack of new information coming out on the case, re-discussing old information and facts is really all we have right now. So don’t spot posting.

And also…. I am totally guilty of not knowing every little piece of information too. I posted a question to Blink yesterday, which she was very kind to answer but which included the dreaded phrase “as I have stated before” which obviously shows that she has answered it in a previous post. I am still so glad that I asked the question, and I am very glad she answered it because it really cleared up for me, even it it was a repeat answer, where this case stands right now and what we can expect over the next while, which is I don’t think very much in the near future unless Kyron is found.

One more link. This is from OregonLive.com. I do respect the work of Maxine Bernstein, the reporter. I’ve been associated with other stories she has worked on and found her to be committed to accuracy and fairness.

  27. SS says:

It seems like I have read that a lot of crimes are solved when LE keeps going back over evidence or facts or whatever, so in that respect I think it helps sometimes to revisit information that has already been posted, because it might make ONE reader think of some small tidbit that no one else thought of. So here are some more random thoughts, just sayin to try to help jog ANYTHING that could be looked at or thought about in a different way.

Has anyone looked into whether or not Kyron had an existing passport? If so, is it missing? Or did TH have one made for him recently maybe? There would be a record. That would be revealing! But fake passports are probably easy to get also.

For some reason I just feel like Kyron was handed over to someone and taken far, far away. Why would anyone risk keeping him close by with all the scrutiny going on and the risk of recognition? Mexico makes the most sense because it’s easy to get there and easy to walk in if you have what you need. Also easy to get lost there. Look at that whole family (the McStays) that disappeared after walking in. Or maybe Ky is at least close to the Mexico border. IDK, I haven’t been to Mexico in years…it used to be really easy to just drive right in (not as easy coming back) but I’m sure it’s not that easy now either way. How does it work these days walking into Mexico? Do they keep a scanned record of passports presented when someone is going in?

Also I’m curious as to how much unaccounted-for time TH had on that day. If she had done something to Kyron herself she would have had to driven like a madwoman to wherever she took him; she would have been a mess afterward, at least hot & sweaty, so she would have had to change clothes. I wonder if she was wearing the same outfit at school that morning that she was wearing when she went to the school bus that afternoon? Again, that might indicate something!! And the baby – if the baby was with her the whole day, of course that means the baby was left unattended in the truck during the science fair. No one has ever come forward to say the baby was elsewhere, unless I missed it. Point is, how could she do something to Ky if the baby was with her? Nah. Makes much more sense that he was handed over and then she went about covering her tracks as best she could and acting like all was normal. If TH so much as got out of the truck in a remote area, evidence of this would have been found in or on her truck. Or in her house like, right around the washing machine/dryer. And I’m sure LE has already done the luminol thing.

KYRON, WHERE ARE YOU LITTLE BOY?

  29. twinkletoes says:

I forgot which site I copied this from, but I didn’t write it:

“Staton said the sheriff’s office is returning $500,000 in contingency funding that was approved last month and another $400,000 from the last budget after his agency was able to hold down costs.

A request by prosecutors seeking an extra $196,000 for a deputy district attorney and a limited time investigator was approved.”

Okay, me again. That is an awful lot of money to think you didn’t have and so you request a big chunk of money then you find you have it and all of a sudden the board approves you getting more money and you no longer need it. (?)
Does this seem odd? And this comes after a three hour meeting with Kaine. I don’t know if this is anything more than coincidence and bad accounting, BUT my first thought was that LE found Kyron or that it was related to a ransom.

  30. LPB says:

I don’t know what any of these developments mean. Anyone who can clue me in? TIA!

Trying not to over-interpret that; it does invite speculation on where the Kyron matter resides w. respect to the respective roles of sheriff and DA.

twinkletoes: back at ‘cha; look for your posts too. Knew you were a lawyer, but thought dancing might be a hobby. Some really great ballroom dancers are lawyers.

  34. snapoutofit says:

Maybe, just maaaaaaaaybeeeeeeeee the reason for request for more funds for the search has been delayed is because more evidence has been discovered? News did report that over 2,000 subpoenas had been issued and they anticipate more…. keep in mind that one of those subpoenas could be to the doctors office regarding Kyron’s doctor appt – was it for June 4th or 11th? Was there ever one made, etc.

    *****************
The gym was the HQ for fliers, posters etc for our missing boy. Unsure at what point it became so however.

  43. Mermaid14 says:

I have a theory about Terri’s angst over the polygraphs. In the very beginning when they had met with LE, she immediately began to express angst about taking one. I think it was another performance designed to make everyone think she might fail because she was so nervous about the process, in an attempt, in case she failed, that they might think it was because she was nervous, not because she was lying. In other words, creating confusion and doubt among her observers just like the confusion and doubt of that Friday with the doctor’s appt.

  44. R.S. says:

Blink, what do you think of this possible scenario?

Terri has affair of some kind with LS. Maybe just flirt/text/sexting, whatever, students, teachers and others at the school notice it. He says ‘she led me on’.(we know LE have seen these texts, to compare them to the texts with Micheal Cook) This makes LS mad. He harasses her, maybe gets threatening over time. This could account for some of the LE calls to that area we have seen records of. He demands money from her or he will tell of affair or hurt her or maybe there was a MFH. She has no money to give him. He comes up with an idea to kidnap Kyron for ransom. Maybe even offers to split it with her, she can divorce Kaine and move on with her life, or sue the school for money later. She agrees to do it. This is a month or more before June 4. This is when Kaine notices her mood improving. They begin to plan.

She sets up the confusion about doctors appointment and using the truck (although I can’t figure out why she needed it.) There is no plan to hurt Kyron.

They will need to use an associate that Kyron won’t know to tell of later, he says.

This can explain why this case looked so much like a kidnapping for quite awhile and why Terri looked so ‘odd’ at the first PC. I noticed then that there was a huge change in her appearance and behavior from the first PC to the second one just two days later. she didn’t look so much like she was faking it at the second. Because:

The LS and Assoc. never intended to go through with a kidnapping for ransom. This was done because he was pissed off at Terri. Instead, no ransom note or call comes. Maybe that Saturday between the two PC, instead Kyron’s glasses show up with no note. This was not the plan, now she is worried for real. Kyron is really gone.

She can’t say anything because she is guilty of setting this up. The LE find her texts in the past to the LS, when they ‘talk’ to him, he comes up with the MFH story to cover himself, and further punish Terri, or maybe it is true. The LE like it, but have no proof. Hence, the awful ‘sting’ attempt.

She could have passed almost all of the lie detector test except for question/s about ‘do you know anyone…’

This would explain her appearing to be involved with the pre-meditation, her odd behavior, and why she can’t say what she knows to help without incriminating herself. Also how she can be guilty without having planned any harm to come to Kyron.

The hanging chad in this is the need for the lousy lie to get the truck. I can’t figure that out without knowing what excuse she gave Kaine later for not having the project. Maybe all of the above is wrong and she just did this all herself and needed the truck to do it. But, I can’t see a motive for that.

Just my ideas of trying to pull the different aspects of this together.

    What do you think?

Naming sources on Kyron Horman coverage

“Some users of KGW.com have wondered about our use of a “reliable source” for information in the Kyron Horman investigation. For example, one person wrote that it appeared that KGW had risked its journalistic integrity or perhaps was using a Tabloid-style of reporting to get a scoop in the case.”

Not sure if this is ok to post as it is somewhat off topic and from another site, but I was reading about sociopathic behavior (specifically someone who was writing about Casey Anthony, another tragic case). And correct me if I’m wrong but does anyone else think that TH may be exhibiting these same traits?

“One of the unidentified friends reportedly had information on Terri Moulton-Horman’s whereabouts on the day Kyron disappeared from Skyline Elementary on June 4. The friend may have violated a judge’s orders by seeing a then-sealed restraining order, filed against Terri by Kyron’s father Kaine Horman, according to the sources.”
“Two of the homes were in Tualatin. A third search warrant at an undiclosed location was executed Thursday. Sources tell KGW investigators decided to obtain the search warrants after examining cell phone records, emails and conducting surveillance. All three friends had spent “significant” amount of time with Terri since the case began, sources said.”
