Hi S. I really liked your post listed above. As per friends helping Terri; I know, it’s really difficult for most of us to understand why anyone would help supress information in a missing child case. But people have assisted friends in doing the most godawful things unimaginable.

Near my home in CT about a decade ago, a violent domestic abuser strangled his ex. He got a friend and that friend’s girlfriend to help him dispose of the body. It involved a garbage can, cement & a swamp. They all went to jail. To this day I cannot understand why ANYONE would help do anything like that, but it happens.

Ha good point. Unless TH states that she needed the paperwork from teacher, FOR appt the following date.

Evidently, I need to post shorter responses…here is a statement which should help this part of the discussion:

Portland affiliate KATU reported that Terri Horman had told Kyron’s teachers and classmates that he would be out of the classroom that Friday at a doctor’s appointment, giving the school no reason to expect him back after the science fair that morning where Kyron showed off his project on frogs.
“Clearly even school children were aware that he was going to the doctor that day and they expected him to be at the doctor that day so now after the fact to say, ‘I didn’t know it was that day, it was another day’ it is weak,” former homicide detective C.W. Jensen said.

    http://www.pps.k12.or.us/news-c/calendar/E_T_Cal_09_10.pdf

A doctor’s appointment at the end of the year is not at all uncommon. Sometimes it takes the teacher that long to convince the parents the kid needs to go. Of course, that is considering it was for a behavior matter. If it was for allergies or something like that, it could have been whenever they could get in.

Many times it’s been stated that it was raining on June 4. Makes me curious about a couple of things:

Why was DeDe gardening? And why did Kaine, Terry and Kiara and walk to the bus stop?

thanks for your comment, you may be right and no comment is worth deleting, we all have something to add here. (I think so anyway) I too feel that this INNOCENT little man is being used as a pawn also or for the use of Terris sick way of getting even with Kaine. It doesnt make sense though as a lot of people are saying what a great family this is or was…just unbelievable.
I just hope there is an arrest soon as that will tell us a little about who what when where and why? the five W’s

I watched the videos of LE bringing out cinder blocks from THs friends homes: why would they have cinder blocks inside their homes anyway?

Cinder blocks can be used as a foundation for a home so they may have been taken from the basement, or under the home. Or they may have just been stored in the basement for future use to build something.
The implications of them taking the cinder blocks is what’s frightening. Maybe they’re looking for blood spots, or trying to determine if a cinder block they found matches the one found in the persons home.

He is going to have a tough row to hoe on that one.

I can only surmise this is simply an attempt to get her on the record in open court, or they suspect or have knowledge that she is being funded via the Casey Anthony plan.

Since I already believe the latter, and Kaine would most definitely know if funds were withdrawn from their assets, this is strategic, imo.

Couldn’t the children have been aware of the doctor’s appointment from the teacher? Like, the kids ask “where’s Kyron?” and the teacher says “he’s at the doctor” Does anyone have a link that says a child actually heard Kyron say he had a doctor appointment? Kim Holm doesn’t even say that – she says Kurtis knew but it was in accordance with the teacher saying it. I’m just trying to stick to the facts here.

  16. FLGirl says:

    S,

There’s a reason I might take Kurtis’ word, rather than Tanner’s. As I recall, Kurtis’ mom said that he mentioned RIGHT AWAY that day, upon hearing Kyron not being in school, that he knew that. Kurtis’ mom says he knew the reason why — the Dr. appt.

So, imagine the conversation goes like this:

Mom: “I just got a call from the school. They’re looking for Kyron, he didn’t come home on the bus and he hasn’t been in school all day.”

Kurtis: “I know, he left with his stepmom, to go to the doctor.”

IF Kurtis knew the Dr. excuse, and it SEEMS he did, that SAME day (vs. hearing it in the media), then I think his words are very valid and important.

On top of the words from Kurtis though – we have verification, from his mother, in a tv interview, saying that Kurtis knew Kyron had left the school (for the appt.) and he told her as such when he found out Kyron was missing. So, to me — an perhaps I’m alone here — that holds a lot more weight; not just a child, but a parent’s verification of what their child told them in the moments of finding out Kyron disappeared.

OTOH, I have several issues with Tanner’s story. The first being that apparently LE discounted it and removed it from their timeline; saying Terri was the last to see Kyron.

Secondly, from what it seems, some are interpreting Tanner’s words to mean that he is saying Kyron was WITH his little group, touring the science fair, and that his absence was noticed upon returning to the classroom, rather than upon LEAVING the classroom. Based on the timeline of 8:45, there’s no way the police believe Kyron was in the touring group. Either he was or he wasn’t; so which is it?

Third, Tanner claims a substitute asked the teacher about Kyron, and the teacher said “oh he’s probably in the bathroom”. That seems impossible to me. If the teacher knew he had an appt. she would say so; and if she didn’t know, after a while she WOULD wonder where he is and have to go look. So, IMO, since she didn’t do that, she knew

Also, wouldn’t Tanner wonder why Kyron never came back to the classroom? Wouldn’t he ask the teacher again?

There’s another account that kinda gives me pause; the Tyler one. He says he saw Kyron in the gym (possibly when Terri went)and that he also saw Terri’s truck there after she supposedly left. Now, I’m not sure how he knows it was Terri’s truck, and not some other white truck. But that’s really the only reservation I have there.

  23. SouthernMom says:

I feel certain that if the “alleged” doctor’s appointment were related to any source of abuse, as implied by insintel on another blog and other’s here…that would have been revealed to us by now. Surely if there were concerns by his teacher of abuse, this would have been reported.

I think I’m with the majority in that the doctor’s appointment was a tool Terri used to confuse the teacher. I keep wondering if besides creating a trail to support her alibis, the reason she went to the stores right after leaving the school was to buy time. She may have wanted to first ensure the school wouldn’t be calling to report his absence or verify his whereabouts/doctor’s appointment, etc. She couldn’t know for sure the teacher would have taken the bait and she knew she would need time to complete her premeditated plan.

  24. SouthernMom says:

I don’t have a link and can only say I read this on a news site.

I read that Houze would likely be able to secure financing/loans to cover the fees for his clients in high profile cases such as this. He works out deals concerning “book” and “film” rights to the story. I feel certain an insider’s story (Terri’s Story) would certainly sell for well in excess of his retainer.

  25. SouthernMom says:

I’d love to hear from an attorney’s point of view on this. To me, the most “telling” evidence of Terri’s guilt is the total lack of comments/commmunication from her side. Is this standard pro quo? Seems to me if she were innocent or claiming innocence, Houze would have made a statement of some sort, or at least leaked her claims of innocence to the press through some means.

How many attorney’s would also keep things so tight lipped in a case as nationally published as this?

It may be the norm…but, it seems so “off” to me.

No. Houze has one objective, to zealously represent/defend his Client, who, has not been charged in this case.
Someone is going to have to tell me how one arrives at a $350K retainer for an innocent person.

    Here’s the actual interview:
“I just saw him (Kyron) in the gym, and I saw the truck out in the parking lot,” he said Wednesday. Kessinger said Kyron was looking at other students’ science fair projects, seemed happy and was with friends. . . He said when he saw Kyron in the gym he didn’t see Terri Horman with him. He and his family have turned over pictures they took at the science fair to investigators, but they’ve been asked not to disclose the timeframe in which he saw Kyron.

    http://www.katu.com/news/local/98434609.html

No timeframe disclosed, no “after she supposedly left.”

  28. Jackie Bauer :) says:

$350,000? If TH is such an innocent person, why would she have to spend $350,000, just on the retainer, to hire an attorney so that she wouldn’t have to talk about 6/4? That makes no sense.

MOO, this is premeditated and she did it. For those who think she “snapped” or that Dede pushed her into it, I’d offer up the doctor’s appt and the MFH as two arguments right away, and more than that if I had time this a.m. There are no excuses for this woman that I’ve read that even begin to hold water. The most pertinent paragraph to me was:

New questions are still emerging about Horman’s actions the day her stepson disappeared. Several hours remain unexplained. Horman claimed she left Kyron at school at 8:45 a.m. and at 11:39 a.m. she went to the gym. In that three-hour gap, she said she went shopping and drove her 19-month-old daughter around to soothe an earache. But that has not been corroborated by anyone.

Sooo…according to this reporter…even the shopping trips have not been verified in the timeline?
