Kyron Horman Missing and Endangered: Grand Jury Meets, Indictment Imminent
Portland, OR- In the case of missing 7-year-old Portland child Kyron Horman, developments today continue to unfold at lightening speed.
During a poorly-kept secret convening of a special grand jury that is in session today, sources inside the investigation believe it’s triers of fact will return an indictment against Terri Horman and possibly one other individual.
It is however, unclear as to whether or not the grand jury is hearing evidence in the alleged murder for hire plot MCSO informed Kaine Horman his wife had master-minded, OR evidence surrounding the disappearance of Kaine and Desiree Young’s son Kyron.
KOIN caught Terri Horman’s friend DeDe Spicher, who was subpoenaed to appear in the proceedings this morning, on video with her attorney, entering the courthouse. Spicher was the subject of a public plea asking her to cooperate with investigators by Kaine Horman and Desiree Young last week. A neighbor of Spicher’s has confirmed the FBI has been seen removing boxes and unknown bagged material from her residence.
According to several sources, DeDe Spicher, Terri’s roommate post Kaine’s restraining order, was working in a garden near the Horman home the day of Kyron’s disappearance when she received a call at approximately 11:15 am. She left abruptly, returning at approximately 1:00 pm. DeDe was unreachable on her cell phone during that time and the property owner became concerned. Spicher is a long time friend and workout companion of Horman’s.
Earlier today, Laura Rackner, Kaine Horman’s Family Law attorney filed a motion to find out where the funds are coming from to foot the bill for Terri Horman’s high profile criminal defense attorney, Stephen Houze.
In Horman’s motion, he is seeking the disclosure of the payments made to Houze, and whether or not it came from marital funds. If it has, Kaine Horman wants half the cash to pay his own legal bills. Kaine Horman alleges that Terri Horman disclosed to a third party that she paid a whopping $350,000 retainer to Houze, however, provided no proof of same in the papers filed today.
In what appears to be a media timing coup, tonight’s episode of Dateline NBC will feature Kaine Horman, Desiree and Tony Young, with interviews and coverage of Kyron’s disappearance.
Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer, Mary Lindstrand, has announced a press conference tomorrow at the MCSO Training Facility, beginning at 2:00 pm PST.

I’m going to lay it on the line. I am drawn to this story because I can’t have children. That lead to my divorce 4 years ago. I am now living with 5 cats and a dog, obvioulsy to compensete for my inability to have children. I can’t understand why a parent would off or kill a child. But I guess my circustances are different. Anyway, I was drawn to CA’s case and now this. I’m struggling with theories but based on comments i’ve seen you leave, TH might have left Kiara with a sitter. That leads me to believe she was protecting her. Either because she knew Ky would end up deceased or because she was passing him off to someone who might cause danger to Kiara. Why would the sitter have any valuable info though? The sitter might have been clueless. She/he may have thought TH had errands and nothing more. Given TH’s MO of sprinkling part truths everywhere I am inclined to think if there was a sitter they know nothing. IMO something went down on SI that day. I’m still drawn to reports of white truck and another vehicle racing around. I think sexual motivation was the initial motivation but the financial motivation fell apart when someone didn’t get paid. Now we’ve got a bunch of clams. As far as TH’s lifesyle choices; may be she got involved with people connected to sex trafficking but didn’t realize it initially. Who knows. I am baffled. All I can say is that I pray this little boy is returned to his BI parents.

I read on a comment board that the balloons and strings that were released for Kyron today were biodegradable.
FLGirl if they had to go back to that specific store to buy that specific phone (friends said they had to use AT&T) they prolly would use the same fake name. I am probably wrong about everything I have brought up but I don’t know why I’m beginning to think she didn’t do this. I at first jumped on the TH’s guilty bandwagon but to me there has been a simple explanation for everything. Someone mentioned the hefty retainer but remember that the 350,000 was an inflated number not the actual fee he charged her.
I agree releasing balloons creates a lot of harm even though it is a well-meaning act. How many times have we heard that the balloons eventually came down somewhere, possibly in many locations, where a child or animal has picked up and choked on them, or they’ve shorted out and damaged telephone wires, not to mention the strings can strangle. Also they just don’t degrade quickly so they’re litter. A better way to show the feeling for this situation is the Wall that has been constructed for Kyron, where the balloons, stuffed animalsw, candles and posters can eventually be dismantled and taken away without the above problems. To be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever owned a prepaid phone where you have to give a name. Maybe it’s only at AT&T counters? What kind of store is that where they bought them? I’ll have to go look back sorry. This is my only reason for saying I thought they got caught off guard but had to go back to the same store and used the same name.

Saturday, dozens of search and rescue workers scoured northwest Multnomah County. Teams were spotted on Northwest Old Germantown Road. Crews also searched private property on Cornelius Pass Road. A spokesperson with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s office says most of northwest Multnomah county and parts of Washington and Columbia county are being searched.

So in a nutshell. Kyron is still missing. Terri is not talking. Desiree, Kaine and Tony have become a team. The friends are singing like canarys. The teachers know nothing. No sighting of Kyron. No ransom notes. Everybody has hired an attorney and a hush falls over the crowd.
I think this one is going to benefit the attorneys only. As usual.

I am starting to see a connection here with landscapers, organic gardening, farms, seasonal workers(possibly SANCHEZ)etc. Just a thought but there was all these landscapers at the school and part of project community care for the children, correct me if I am wrong. Like I said this is a thought. I read that Portland has cult activity such as the “Friends of Seasonal and Service workers”, they are affiliated with the Nat’l Labor Federation, which is said to be a front for the “Provisional Communist Party”.I can’t go all into what these members believe and so forth because I would be here typing all night! They unionize these members to work extensive hours for them but the work is volunteering “internship” were they don’t get paid, but they are suppose to go out into the community and get people to donate money for their support.DeDe was unemployed, but yet did all this internship gardening for free fruits and vegetables.Doesn’t look much like she ate any of it.Sanchez an illegal alien here in America and working as a landscaper,how and who would’ve gave him a job without a greencard!Oh that’s right they could use someone else’s social security and work under that.Please correct me if I’m totally wrong.Terri is unemployed and “loves” landscapers and MFH plots,as well as organic gardening,farming,landscaping,california peach pickers….the list goes on. I do not know if Terri is guilty or innocent. However, I do want to comment on a PTA scenario that I recently endured in Oregon. I will keep it as nondescript as possible for obvious reasons.
I volunteered for, and worked very hard on, some fundraising at my daughter’s school. During the actual fundraising event, I witnessed extremely unethical behavior/activities by one person in particular and to my knowledge, she was NOT involved in the organizing if the event (not that it change things for me).
I questioned her activity and she became VERY offensive.
This is just a thought,but I feel something to consider.

I remember early on in this investigation that the day Kyron went missing from the school, a substitute teacher left for a vacation in the middle of the school day. That sounds very strange. Has this been thoroughly investigated.

From what I read, it was 2 friends of Terri at 2 different stores, but both using the same phony name; I’m just saying, what are the odds of that?
The person who was anonymously interviewed or whatever, said that he/she didn’t know the other friend was going to be buying 2 more phones, much less using the same phony name.
Various articles mention DeDe Spicher as being one of the friends to give Terri a phone. The person in the article in question was only identified as “not DeDe Spicher”. So, if DeDe wasn’t the first person (who claims they bought the phone for themselves, not for Terri), then the 2nd friend, the one who bought 2 phones with cash and a phony name, had to be DeDe, by process of elimination.

I don’t know for sure because I’ve never had a pre-paid phone, but perhaps this is a new requirement, as terrorists and would-be terrorists have been known to buy pre-paid phones. Maybe it’s just a new precaution.

Anselmo Sanchez now released to PERM, so he is not now in a federal prison. There is some PERM Program to gain legal US status – now he committed some type of crime and he’s on his way to legal status? Was this a bargain? (from ScaredMonkeys.com) How many people are gonna get bargains?
I looked and looked and have trouble finding things – can’t find the list of agencies, but ICE (was INS) and DEA are involved in my memory, as well as FBI.
The way Blink phrased something about Kyron’s final blow was sexually motivated, could either be again LS gave up on having a relationship with Terri and did in Kyron (SO sorry to say this!) OR the really really bad creepy sexual predator, which Oregon supposedly has a high number of and are really everywhere.

I have been watching for news of Kyron since this first started. He is a precious boy you can tell. All little boys & girls are precious. His sweetness just comes out and grabs you. Here’s my problem with thinking anyone other than Terri did this; motive.
I know some are saying the LS could’ve done it as a ransom-type situation. But why? The plot to kill Kaine apparently was discussed and aborted well before Kyron disappeared. IF he changed his mind and wanted the money, why didn’t he propose on following through with the MFH? Why would he take Kyron for ransom, then kill him? Kinda defeats the purpose of a ransom doesn’t it? And if he couldn’t kill an adult, would he really be able to kill a child?
I assume… that he had an attack of conscience, when questioned by the police and told them what happened months prior. Where would the police dig up the MFH in the first place if he didn’t admit to it? I’m sure she paid the LS, but unless she wrote him a check and put in the memo spot “for killing my husband”, then the info had to come from the LS, right?
I don’t know how interrogations work actually, but assume they notice Terri wrote some checks out to him and bring him in. They ask what the checks were for; he says mowing the lawn or trimming trees or whatever… and they have no proof otherwise.
The only way they find out about the MFH is if he admits to it, or if he was the one who sought out police and thought “wow, you know, this same woman asked me to arrange someone to kill her husband a few months back, I better tell someone, cause she could have found someone to go after her son instead”.
The only way I see LS talking is if he has a guilty conscience. Feeling like, if he’d come forward earlier Kyron wouldn’t have disappeared. Otherwise, I see no reason why he would willingly implicate himself in a MFH plot. Especially not if he was guilty of kidnapping/murdering a 7 y.o. boy. He would keep his mouth shut; unless he knew he wasn’t guilty of Kyron’s disappearance.
I also do not believe he aborted the MFH, then came back months later, looking for the money, which he didn’t “earn”. Sure he could’ve said he would turn her in to the police if she didn’t pay up; but it’s his word against hers, and he’s an illegal I believe. He wasn’t going to go to the police if she didn’t pay him for something he didn’t even do in the first place and risk being detained and deported.
But, if he WAS the one who kidnapped Kyron and disposed of him, why on earth would he involve himself in a sting? He would want to stay under the police radar. They have no proof that he kidnapped Kyron, so why give them the opportunity to find some, especially if he slipped up?
In fact, I can’t see anyone wanting to kill him right off, except Terri. A stranger or a sex offender would’ve kidnapped him for a purpose; for which he would have to be alive for at least a little while; be it for a molestation type thing (ugh sorry), or for someone who just wanted a child but couldn’t have one or something. I would think a molester would’ve taken him from the school alive; and someone would’ve noticed. Molesting him in the school then trying to sneak out a dead body would be far riskier than Kyron meeting a trusted adult in the parking lot.
Terri is the only person I can see who would harbor a motive (revenge on Kaine, resentment of being a SAHM, lack of time for working out, etc) of the sole purposing of just offing Kyron.
It would also be highly convenient and coincidental for a kidnapper/jilted lover/creepy stranger to know that there was a supposed mix-up and that his teacher wouldn’t raise an alarm when he disappeared, because she thought he was at a Dr. appt. No way could a stranger know this, and I doubt she ran medical appts. past the LS. It would either have to be someone who knew about the appt. in advance, or just so happened to overhear the discussion of the appt. Pretty big coincidence necessary there too.
I can’t see Terri asking the LS to kidnap Kyron, after he already let her down on the MFH. Unless she said “just hold him captive for a while and I will pay you the 10K I promised before”.
If the LS was involved in Kyron’s disappearance at all (which I don’t think he was), it would only make sense to that he lured Kyron out of the school, then handed him off to Terri to do what she would. But, I just don’t get the idea that Terri and LS were on very friendly terms as of late… so I can’t really see them working together. I mean, affair or not, asking someone to murder your husband and them turning you down, kinda puts a damper on the romance, don’t you think?
So yeah, no matter what way I try and look at it, it would make no sense to me for LS to be involved in Kyron’s disappearance. I don’t think he would willingly work with Terri on after the failed MFH, and I certainly don’t think he would be talking to cops about the MFH if he was guilty of taking Kyron. I think he was providing info that she IS the type of a person who could do something to Kyron, because she tried to do something to his dad.
I just keep coming back to Terri,because I can find no one with a better motive; and in fact, I have a hard time figuring out a motive for anyone else but Terri.
Sure we could make suppositions all day. Maybe I propose that MC took Kyron; because he was having a fling with Terri and getting rid of Kyron would cause a rift between Terri and Kaine, causing Kaine to believe Terri guilty, divorce her and leave her free for MC. Stupid as that sounds to me, it still sounds more plausible than the LS, IMO.
I just cannot see anyone else having means, motive and opportunity the way Terri did.

In regards to the fast-tracking of court docs — it seems like this case is a clusterfu*k of epic proportions. Multiple agencies, Multiple suspects, Ransom angle from the start, Grand Jury with 200 subpoenas. Searches, Interviews, Undercovers, Wiretaps!!! My god, what a task. In any case, I beam good thoughts to LE with the faith they will uncover the truth for Kyron.
PS I think the CSI shirt is entirely unfortunate and coincidental in that, I don’t think it was a final FU to anyone. Perhaps just a strange detail, that looking ahead/back – may make a lot of sense.

Speaking of money, why was Secret Service involved? My federal LE folks said probably investigation possible counterfeit currency. Often used in human trafficking. Also said there’s a lot of counterfeit currency in Europe and Asia; other places too.
Other fed LE agencies there to get credit if anything notable comes down, because they thought when they came in that this case had the potential to provide.
Also said I might be in personal danger if I corner them one more time during their time off. Remember, my “sources” are in no way related to the Ky case and are speaking only in general terms.

Keep in mind that for the last two weeks Portland Or has seen subpoenaed individuals coming and going from the Multnomah Courthouse to testify in front of the grand jury. Don’t you think that the reason those particular areas are being searched are from those individuals testimonies?
Why would Harry Oakes call in a tip if he has the sniffing dogs to find a body?
It is my understanding that Sauvie is gated, wouldn’t he need a permit or permission perhaps?

About 20 minutes into this podcast Sgt. Geiger mentions how these soul-less creeps use Craig’s list to order a child. He also mentions how these children are dropped off at truckstops where they are then loaded and quickly transported down the various highways to their destination (my phrasing, he states it much more professionally.)

Okay, let me go back to the “letting the vampire in the house” comment by Blink. Assuming that it is Rudy S. We’ve all seen Terri asking for the truck on June 4th, under the guise of picking up Kyrons project, then leaving the science fair early as a huge red flag. Did Terri get scared off from the school? By Rudy or an associate? She had planned to stay until 10:00 and take the project home, but left in a panic? Was she emailing the teacher to make sure Rudy hadn’t done anything to Kyron? Is Terris part in this that she was more concerned about having to admit an unsavory secret or deed, and it overrode the need to protect Kyron? This would be a plausible theory except for the doctors appointment. Connecting the dots is hard!!!Of course, we don’t have all of the information that LE has. Blinks comments along the way have convinced me that self preservation was paramount to Terri and that she does not know where Kyron is now. That she didn’t plot to harm him, but her secrecy allowed something terrible to happen to him. Blink, if I’m wrong, please let me know – this is just how I’m interpreting what I’m reading, it doesn’t mean I have it right. But if this was/is the case and everything has started to unravel, what is the point of her not talking? Not going to do her much good, only more harm. This case is driving my bonkers! Way to much speculation, and no real evidence. I come here everyday for some real news about what happened to the sweet little Kyron. My only solice is that even if the people who took Kryon escape mans justice. You can’t escape Gods justice.
If LS was threatened with deportation he would probably come up with the best story involving TH he could that would not get him in trouble. TH kinda did what she was told to do up until someone brought up the MFH scheme. The came Houze, not before. Not all of Sauvie Island is gated. There is one private community (homes) that is. As far as the Warrior Rock area, you need a permit to hike in it. I do know that Harry took a boat out to that lighthouse on the North Channel to look around a while back which is at Warrior Rock but didn’t find anything.

Sauvie Island has lots of public access along with private property,I have been there many times. So I think the only place Harry O, or anyone for that matter would need permission to search is on the privately owned parts of the Island. http://sauvieisland.org/

Blink. Sauvie Island is not gated. I had 2 foreign students here for the month of July and they spent a day out there on the beach. The island is famous for many farm fields where people go to the pumpkin patch for hay rides every year, there is a very popular beach out there, strawberry fields, homes are scattered here and there along a few main roads and there are not really any neighborhoods (to my knowledge) except some houseboat marinas, and I DO think the one in question might well be gated, but it is a very small part of the entire island.

Pleading with Terri’s followers to “do the right thing” is IMO absurd. They ALREADY think they are “doing the right thing” by dummying-up because Terri has told them she hid the boy because Kaine was abusing him. That’s the only thing that would make sense out of all these loyal friends not talking. Talk to James
James is a Minor and I am more than positive he has been questioned. I had thoughts of him maybe doing something in the beginning but not so sure now with all the others involved.
@Satori and tarmancer, I think you interpreted my comments wrong, or maybe I didn’t phrase them very well. I see your point in regards to what I said, and maybe I shouldn’t have said anything relating to politics at all. But please know that I am probably one of the most liberal people out there. If you saw my facebook profile, you would definitely see how liberal I lean. The things I have heard from Sharron Angle and the like, make my skin crawl. It’s that self-righteous indignation and judgement that makes me sick.
I was just trying to piece together different aspects of TH’s profile on FB and make any sense to it. I agree that there are too many hypocrites out there, especially those that seem to shout the loudest about what they think of as sinful behavior.

The article also says “parts of Washington and Columbia county are being searched”. DeDe’s Aunt’s property is in Washington County and North Sauvie Island is in Columbia County.
The specific locations are not mentioned in the article. I am just applying the roads and counties to properties already mentioned as search areas. Sauvie Island for the most part is not gated. Some individual private properties or business (as in marinas) are gated though.
Blink and others, if you have not looked this over carefully, please do. Someone was kind enough to put it together and you can see that Sauvie Island is NOT a gated community. I focused it in to where the SI bridge is at. BPs address is SI but if you look closely from the aerial views, there are a line of houses along the SW part of the channel on either side of the bridge that arent on the “main land” and therefore considered SI (as far as I can tell).
The markers are given a key on the left side of your screen and are very interesting. THe dark green roads are presumably ones that the LE asked for surveillance on. The SI Bridge is also east of the school (NE but E just the same.) BPs place on SI is right around the blue pushpin but I believe on the opposite side of the body of water there which is the channel.

Here is a bit more info on SI.It appears that without a boat the only way onto the island is the one bridge not far from Skyline, and along the path that Terri claims to have been taking while driving Kiara around (provided the info there is correct regarding LE seeking surveillance from the dark green routes noted on the map above.)

Sauvie Island itself is not gated, but there are some areas, houseboat community) which are off limits to all the day trippers (no pun intended) who go there from Portland to spend a day in the wilderness. (LOL, Sauvie Island is not the wilderness – there’s city bus service for heavens sakes!) Harry Oaks would need permission to go onto private property.
A few days ago I read up on old Harry and concluded that he is about as slick as my cat’s tongue so obviously the problems between him and LE are political in nature. (Possibly because his discovery at Ward Weaver’s home upset LE, I don’t know.) I don’t see that he would actually be much of a threat to LE so I don’t see where an extra pair of eyes and a another canine nose would hurt anything. Harry has found lots of people and pets. He has spent countless hours in the mountains in SW Washington and all over the world for that matter, for free helping find lost people. I know it’s been said that he and his dogs could ruin evidence if they found something, but his dogs are not trained to run up on the person or body, which LE HAS to know. Their dogs are trained in the same way. He is certainly bitter over their treatment of him and LE certainly scoffs at his talents. I strongly believe the tiff between them has hampered the search for Kyron and both parties should be ashamed.
I am hopeful now that searchers are not concentrating completely on SI. Possibly information the GJ has points to Terri taking Kyron from school or meeting someone on the way to shop. If receipts, bank records, videos, etc. prove that she was indeed at Albertsons or Freddies by half past nine AM, then he could very well be in the area they searched yesterday.
I constantly question my beliefs about what may have happened. I do this because I believe that forming a belief without substantiating facts can lead to a dangerous and erroneous end. I have not believed that Terri planned Kyron’s death. It just did not seem plausible to me because of how she was described by family and friends prior to Kyron’s disappearance. Evil serial killers are often described by those close to them as nice people, but few have as many people around them as Terri had. But, then I thought of Christian Longo; his actions after he murdered his three innocent babies and his wife, his actions while on the run in Mexico, his love relationship while incarcerated in Lincoln County Jail, his current engagement while on death row. Crap, there goes my theory that Terri just could not have done anything evil to Kyron.
