Murder In Mexico: Tiffany Hartley Endures 16 Hours Of Interviews In David Hartley Death

..” I have nothing to hide. I Have ABSOLUTELY nothing to hide..”

TiffanyFB

Tiffany Hartley emerged on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 yesterday after her 16th hour of interviews at the Mexican Consulate in McAllen, Texas.

Hartley recounted the events of September 30, ending with the alleged murder of her husband David. Ms. Hartley gave both new testimony and confirmed her previous statements according to reports from the Mexican Attorney General and Ms. Hartley herself, without the presence of an attorney.

According to several statements from Hartley, David was shot “off his jet ski” while the couple was returning from the Mexican side of Falcon Lake, where they briefly took pictures of the historic church on Old Guerrerro. Neither David Hartley nor his Sea Doo watercraft have been recovered.

One of the most baffling aspect of the case, is the fact that Ms. Hartley claims the pair were shot at at as they were driving their jet skis away from alleged “pirates” they both waved a friendly hello to, seconds before.  Tiffany Hartley was uninjured in the attack, and her jet ski was not hit in the gunfire. Although media was alerted last week that tests on a possible blood source on Tiffany’s life vest were due back that afternoon, we were quickly told there would be no updates about the possible blood evidence at this time.

This afternoon, blinkoncrime Editor spoke with Chuck Smith, owner Smith Marina USA about specifics of the Sea Doo RXT.

..Your correct, the RXT has a chip in the starter that is electronically programmed to “match” the owners lanyard key. If he was wearing the lanyard, whether attached to his vest, or in some cases the arm, and he was thrown off the ski, it activates a kill switch and will not start without the key it is programmed to without a factory reprogramming, which of course, one would need the paperwork for. In short, no matter what, they would need his key to start it.

Blink Question: What if he was not attached to the key, and he was shot and flew off the unit “in motion”, this would not shut the engine off, correct?

CS: Correct. The ski would continue in the direction the handlebars were pointing and continue to throttle in that direction.

Blink: How hard are these models to sink?

CS: Virtually impossible. I have never actually heard of, or seen one, sink to the bottom. The way the Coast Guard standards are now with these, they have hulls similar to boats.

Blink: Could enough bullet holes sink it? What about if the contiuum– could that have caused it to flip? Could anyone right it?

CS: No, not unless we are talking morter rounds. I guess in theory an automatic weapon could put enough holes cut it in half if that was the goal, but again, your still going to see shards of fiberglass all over the water, remnants similar to a boat accident or crash. Again, under these circumstances, I don’t see how he could flip it, but if it were, again, harder to see because the bottom is black, but any SAR or Coast Guard deployment knows what abnormalities to look for on the water surface. It would be next to impossible to “right it” in deep water. It would be more likely they would drag it to shallow water.

Blink: Is this chop-shoppable?

CS: Absolutely. There is some after factory devices, similar to lo jack, but the engine and parts are expensive and could easily be sold that way.

Blink: He was wearing a PFD I. In your opinion is that keeping him afloat until he is located if he was left in the water?

CS: Absolutely, unless it was removed, or he and the vest were removed from the water, he would be floating, yes.

As announced this morning on Dana Pretzer commentary, Blink, Editor In Chief of blinkoncrime.com will be discussing the Hartley case this evening live at 9PM EST on Scared Monkeys The Dana Pretzer Show.

Appreciate all the new info, but IMO it is just all a bunch more BS intended to prop up the old BS to keep people at bay and keep them from continuing to ask the hard questions. When is somebody going to go after that Sheriff and demand he produce the lab report on the blood sample from the vest???!!! He said it was tested, so what’s the result Sigi? Instead of results, more nameless faceless boogeymen. Not buying any of it.

  2. gigi says:

Where is the Hartley family???? How can anyone kin to DH stand by silently while Tinkerbell constantly and consistently self promotes??? Dang…Sigi is evidently under her spell, also. So, on we go to the next round of publicity for Tiffany not for David…and the sad thing is her dance card is already filled with her adoring public. Justice for David has been derailed by little Tink and her pixie dust….so sad.

  3. gigi says:

Sheriff Sigi as the le on this case you are not being forthcoming. You have not been fortcoming from the day crime occurred. TH and her boats that came at them shooting….yet she saw no gun….saw two shooters here but new more were in boat…now
three boats but who was on each boat…TH knew there were others in that boat but didn’t see them Boats are flying shots are flying with one rifle…they were waiting on orders to kill her gun was aimed put down, etc.. yet she does know not what color the people were????And she amazingly excaped being shot by getting away. Sigi lies about blood test. Sigi does not demand poly. Now Tiffany fills her days tiptoeing through the tulips with horses on a farm and keeping her social calendar up t\date. Somebody in one family know that drugs or gune some contraband was being passed. Bottom line….no one cares….not TH or the H family or Sigi….they want it to go away…they do not feel that the life of one man is enough to involve themselves with. It is a sad state in our country when we allow little girls to continously make money under false pretenses and effectvely make fools out of le. She and Will Ripley will probaboy be an item soon,Yuk, yuk, yuk.

Just thought I would drop in again got tired of being in read only mode but I’m still interested in this case too.. Happy to see that its still an open discussion.. I just heard on CNN that this Sunday 3/13 @ 8:00PM/EST they will do a show on the Hartley case.. This will either be interesting or boring..

Wonder if Tiff’s memory of that day will come back after all having guns pointed at her chest you would think it would have made some sort of a dent in the memory zone..

  5. nana2 says:

Is Tiff really serious with this that no one in America knows what’s going on down there..

  6. Blink says:

There can be no doubt that David Hartley, or Tiffany Hartley was the beneficiary of a sizable life insurance policy.

In the area they lived, and his position, it was either available through his employer (would speak to why they were onsite to quickly)or purchased separately. As they were facing picking up their own living expenses and moving for “safety reasons” does the fact that Hartley had a work visa, and American citizenship allow him to obtain a Mexican death certificate to satisfy that policy?

Yes, I have brought this up before, very early.

    Food for thought: Madison Rutherford

  7. zinnia says:

Blink, do we know yet whether any insurance policy funds have been distributed to beneficiaries? I hope the authorities or David Hartley’s family or the insurance company is keeping a close eye on this.

  8. Mermaid14 says:

The interview with Geraldo was a joke. Absolutely no new information, why are they wasting our time on this drivel? The headline said quite plainly 4 Suspects Identified. When Geraldo asks Tiffany about the new suspects she says, ‘Well yeah they have sort of identified them”. End of comment and he doesn’t even question her any further. She is playing the entire news media of this country for complete and utter fools! If I were a serious anchor I would refuse to have her on after seeing this.

  9. Mermaid14 says:

If I were in charge of the insurance agency that wrote a policy on David Hartley I would fight tooth and nail before I would give up a dime to this woman. She has proved nothing and neither has law enforcement. It would seem to me that a death certificate would be provided if and only if David were on the job with Calfrac when this happened. But he wasn’t, they were on their own time. And if it is true that they were moving for “safety reasons”, I really would fight it because why then would they be messing around crossing the border when there is known danger there?? If I were in charge of the policy I would demand written provable reports on all aspects of this case, I would demand to see and question these witnesses, they cannot keep their identities hidden if they expect a cash payout, no way. I would also insist on a polygraph and questioning Tiffany under oath with threat of incarceration if it is found out this is fraud. Anybody handing over money to this woman without proof of David’s death deserves to be ripped off.

  10. Mermaid14 says:

No matter how many interviews or articles I read about this case, the only law enforcement individual(s) that seem to hold any physical evidence, have knowledge of possible named suspects, and seems to be in control of the entire investigation is one guy, you guessed it, Sheriff Sigi. He has also controlled the press because he gets interviewed for almost everything that is written on this case thereby deeming himself the “expert”. I think people better start taking a second look at this expert. They only seem to go to him, no one else. This is the kind of thing that sets up a situation where the guilty get away with murder.
I have probably mentioned this before but I can’t help but think back to the Lindbergh kidnapping case. It was a horrendous tragedy of the abduction and death of a precious baby, but in the ensuing years, many experts have taken a long second and third look at that case and many feel that an innocent man was executed for the crime. Charles Lindbergh himself was in a similar situation of literally controlling the investigation from start to finish. Because of his status as a wealthy aviation hero, everyone deferred to him including law enforcement. He even was allowed to tell police where to search and when to search. Evidence has come forward since that has all but exonerated the man who was tried and executed. What has also come out is that Mr. Lindbergh himself was leading a double life all those years and while married to Anne Lindbergh in the states, was carrying on numerous affairs overseas and fathered 3 children by two other women. DNA tests on all 3 have since proven this information to be true.
Crime and forensics has come a long way since then but human nature remains the same, there needs to be checks and balances in a murder investigation, as we have all seen, wealth and status doesn’t mean someone can’t get murdered under your roof, even a child.
The only way the FBI can take over this case is if they can prove TH or TH/DH planned this event in the US to defraud the insurance company or TH herself murdered her husband. Other than that they have no jurisdiction because David disappeared in territorial Mexico.

  11. DesertGirl says:

wow, I followed that Madison Rutherford case, especially all that insight about the Body Farm – and thought of that carzy case when David Hartley was reportedly killed. Googling Rutherford today renders this interesting tidbit: http://www.columbiacitypaper.com/2010/04/28/more-legal-troubles-for-pops-pizza/comment-page-1/
and gives me pause that we will one day hear about David Hartley again. Justice smushtice.

Kudos to DesertGirl for picking up what I put down.

And this is him “outta” jail.

  12. gigi says:

Unreal…..Thanks for the link DesertGirl! Things have been unusually quiet at TH’s BDH site. The Bring DH Justice FB page still has some interesting reads. Yes, I agree. It is just a matter of time. The Hartley family is too quiet and TH is too noisy.

  13. gigi says:

TH did make a post sometime today. I just saw it. She says CNN will air the interview they did with TH and DH’s mother on April 10.

  14. Mermaid14 says:

Completely unfamiliar with Madison Rutherford case. Did not make it much in the news down here, thanks for the link.
For those of you that think DH might still be alive, any conjecture on where you think he might be?
I think he is still alive but I have serious doubts that he would be in Mexico. I think the Key West connection might be the first place to look. Second maybe somewhere in Colorado? They have several live web cams in Key West, might not hurt to take a look/see once in a while.
Why, oh why does this woman insist on constantly staying in the limelight? For me, this has given her away more than anything else. The narcissistic, me, me, me.

  15. DesertGirl says:

Ugh, just lost my comment. Hate when that happens. trying again.

I am not certain that DH is dead… but I have zero confidence in any of the stories Tiff or the media has been feeding us. He may show up down the road (i.e., Rutherford) or we may have to wait longer for this tale to unwind itself. But as a human being connected to all other human beings, I want to know what happened. It was not my (our) business until Tiff made it my (and our) business.

If he IS alive, my money is on him being stateside. Not sure why because he may be able to hide better south of the border. But since she is still here (stateside) that’s where I’d guess he is too.

This story is disgusting no matter which way it plays out. Sad commentary on either our international dealings, or on the sanctity of marriage.

  16. Chiapet517 says:

I’m still lurking……If DH is alive and in the U.S., he would have to be somewhere far away from either Texas or Colorado, some place where there hasn’t been much press about this case. Otherwise he runs the risk of someone eventually recognizing him. If he were in some rural town in, say, Indiana, or a highly populated city like Miami, he could fly under the radar on a daily basis without being noticed. No doubt he would be carefully disguised also. The only problem with any such hiding place is the fact that he is big and tall. If publicity were greater in all areas, someone would notice him. Maybe TH does those interviews periodically only to make sure people still think he’s dead (and because she loves the camera). And this is probably why his family is so silent – they know he’s around somewhere. I am still kind of on the fence. I do think TH will try to collect insurance money, but whether she will split it with DH or some boyfriend I still can’t make up my mind. Still leaning toward DH though, simply because in my gut he doesn’t feel dead. Blink, I was glad to read your post about life insurance, and when I went and read all about the Madison Rutherford case, it was very good food for thought indeed…

  17. Mermaid14 says:

Well, I’m banking on somewhere near the water because, remember? There is still another jet ski out there belonging to David Hartley. I say Key West because they had been there several times and were familiar with the territory and it has a reputation for being a place where out of place people feel comfortable. I say no to Mexico because after all the scam involved blaming Mexicans for his violent death, not a good place to hang around after that. Also, if he starts feeling uncomfortable that he may be found out, well, just hop on a boat for a few days, head out to sea and stay out of sight.

  18. Mermaid14 says:

Just as I thought, Tiffy’s been reading the blog again. Especially all of us mentioning that David’s family has been remarkably silent on this issue. So……..here comes damage control…………on March 30 Tiffy AND David’s family will hold a “rally” in Denver on the Capitol Steps to “protest” David not being home yet.

  19. Mermaid14 says:

D’oh! I can’t believe I forgot all about this. Years ago I worked for a temp agency that sent me on a job working for an insurance investigation firm. Insurance companies usually contract the work out to investigation firms that specialize in investigating personal injury claims, life insurance claims, etc.
I GUARANTEE you, if Tiffy has filed a claim for her husband’s life insurance, SHE IS BEING INVESTIGATED!! No, not by the FBI, or law enforcement but by the private companies that work for the large insurance firms. These guys like I said do NOT give up big payouts easily. I just did clerical work but I could hear what went on in the next room. They actually hire people to call up the claimants friends, neighbors, all sorts of things to try and get information about the person. Like they would claim to be an old high school friend trying to organize a reunion just to throw the person off and get them to talk. Trust me, these people were great, it amazed me what they got people to talk about. They also go out and take photographs, and get evidence to either deny or support the claim.
I guess the big insurance companies are smart enough to realize that local LE can really screw up cases as they did this one. They do NOT trust the FBI, LE or anybody. They do their own gumshoe work.

  20. Mom3.0 says:

Just checking in- Nice job desert Girl- thanks for the huge nudge Blink.

I surely hope that the truth of this whole thing makes it way into the light of day. If it turns out to be a scam of some sort, I won’t say I would be surprised, but for Davids sake I hope he is alive somewhere.. the alternative is too sickening. IMO

  21. Mermaid14 says:

Anyone else notice this? In TH latest blog entry, it says 6 months since David was “taken from us”, not killed but taken from us. This is the kind of subjective language that gives her away, like Seamus O’Reilly speaks of frequently. Scrolled down and studied some of the other entries. She does mention hoping “David’s remains” will be found. That really makes me wonder now. I have always maintained that he is still alive, but I am open to other possibilites especially when you diagnose the language. I will say this, if David is no longer alive, I maintain he was not killed on that lake but somewhere else. If that is the case, what people might better look for is not his remains but that jetski, it’s got to be somewhere. Jetskis don’t decompose. And they’d be pretty hard to bury.

  22. nana2 says:

I think the reason why TH is still so vocal is because the insurance company hasn’t paid off yet & she’s hoping all the publicity will push them into a corner to pay off & shut her up.. I think the idea of DH being down here in the Keys is a valid one & someone had posted a pic on their FB page & it was a pool side pic with a coconut & a drink in it & DH does love the water.. If DH was as upset with his employer for relocating him as TH made it sound in an interview having his employer pay out on death benefits (?) would make him a happy camper..

  23. Mermaid14 says:

    @Nana2,
You are absolutely right. TH is trying to convince a whole lot of people that her husband was murdered by a drug cartel. Only it just doesn’t fit and is so absurd, they would have had no motive whatsoever to kill him. I also read in a Houston Press article that someone had studied their facebook pages and determined that they were both right wing evangelical Christians, not that there is anything wrong with that, but if that is what you are, you don’t scam the public and the insurance company for money. The only thing that still makes me think he might be alive is all the LE complicity, especially that Sheriff Sigi and the opportunistic way they exploited this incident for political and financial gain.
Yep, I’m still thinking the Keys too. Don’t think the insurance company hasn’t thought of that, they send their people to photograph and film people wanting a financial payout. I bet they are reading everything on the net they can too to get more info. Back when I worked for that firm, there was no internet, everything was phone and gumshoe.

  24. Mermaid14 says:

Just out of curiosity I visited that Dave Ramsey website. According to everything I just read, people go to those meetings because they are in financial trouble, deeply in debt, and for most of them the marriage is in trouble. He talks about living a less materialistic life, saving money, and saving marriages that are about to fall apart due to debt. TH and DH had gone to one of these meetings shortly before the incident happened. Very telling.

  25. Mermaid14 says:

TH and DH did the following AFTER their San Antonio visit to the Dave Ramsey seminar on March 7, 2010:
    1. Took a Carnival cruise in April
    2. Early June, bought an entire household of furniture following the move to McAllen.
    3. June/July, purchased two jetskis, each one averaging about $15,000
    4. August-Trip to Key West which included a diving expedition.

With just a modest estimation, the total of all of that comes to about $40,000-$50,000. And that is AFTER the Dave Ramsey seminar to get their finances under control. Anybody else find this odd??

  26. Mermaid14 says:

JMO, but I think the best “reads” on this story are by John Nova Lomax of the Houston Press. Just google his name with David Hartley and they will come up. If you scroll down to the bottom of the articles the other story links are there, and there are lots of public comments on each too. I think he wrote about 6-7 featured articles on this. They are written with kind of a tongue in cheek style but also lots of factual information.

  27. DesertGirl says:

Mermaid14 says: With just a modest estimation, the total of all of that comes to about $40,000-$50,000. And that is AFTER the Dave Ramsey seminar to get their finances under control. Anybody else find this odd??

I do! I do! But I just don’t have any thoughts about what it means. Unless them going to the seminar in the first place was just all part of the scam. Perhaps they hooked up with someone there who told them something magical.

I am torn between feeling badly for his family, who might be being duped by Tiff and deserve to know the truth, and thinking that they are all in on it too. The latter seems more probable, unfortunately, because they are buying everything she has said hook, line and sinker.

Maybe they bought the jetski so he could have it to sell for money to live off of after this crazy plan came to fruition.

  28. Mermaid14 says:

    Desert Girl:
Where do you think the “evangelical Christian” thing comes in?? Because I tend to agree with that assessment. In every picture, DH is wearing some God message t-shirt. That is so far apart from the way they were living and what TH is doing now, flitting from media event to media event. I am so sick of her talking about God all the time. And what pray tell are they going to protest on the steps of the state capitol of Colorado?? If they want David back why aren’t they down there trying to get him back??

  29. DesertGirl says:

well, at the risk of insulting anyone, I have to say that “evangelical christian” and criminal are not mutually exclusive.

It is hard to say what I would do were I in this “situation” legitimately (i.e., if this REALLY did happen and my husband was shot down while jetskiing) but I have to think that I would not be acting as Tiff at all. I would be hiding and mourning, letting LE do their job. At some point, barring a successful find of his body or any reasonable scenario to the contrary, I would probably enlist the help of professionals. But it would always be about my husband, not about ME, not about some government conspiracy, not about border wars… It is like David has been lost in all this other crap she has started.

All the media coverage, the blog, Tiff’s constant cries for attention in the name of her husband’s “murder” – just don’t wash. Something is still fishy here.

    The Latest-
On 6mth Anniversary of Falcon Lake Incident

    Tiffany Goes To The Capitol-
    —–
Hartley’s Wife Wants Government To Find His Body
    snipped:

    http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/27371067/detail.html

Tiffany said if the investigation into her husband’s death dies out so does her hope of bringing his body home. That’s why she organized a rally with friends and family on the west steps of the Capitol. Tiffany said she won’t go quiet until she has closure.

—–If what she said happened did happen- pirates/drug cartel mistaken identity shooting ect… How could she hope to bring David’s body home? Pirates wouldn’t have buried it respectfully and they certainly wouldn’t have left an “X” to mark the spot….

Could it be that the “closure” Tiffany wants is a death certificate? Perhaps Tiffany is alluding to a death certificate signed sealed and delivered- thereby providing the closure she needs to move forward in providing documentation provided to perhaps the insurance folks, so she can move forward with her life??? Just a cynical thought…

    Cont of Article:
    Snipped-
David Hartley’s case is not listed on U.S. State Department records of American citizens killed in Mexico, and State Department officials did not immediately respond to inquiries about the case. In cases such as Hartley’s, it’s up to families or acquaintances to file a report with local Mexican officials, which Hartley did through the Mexican consulate’s office in October.

  31. Mom3.0 says:

Hmmm My comment with the the link/article from the Denver Post won’t post…just type in Denver Post & Hartley into google -should bring you to the article…

    Here’s a snippet:

“Why is David not important enough to bring back home?” asked Tiffany Hartley, David Hartley’s widow. “We should all be important enough, no matter who we are. If you are an ordinary Joe.”

    Cont-

At the rally, she said drug cartels are responsible for raping and killing people every week on the border.

“We’ll continue to hold these rallies until the government wakes up,” Tiffany Hartley said.

Tiffany Hartley said she hasn’t heard from U.S. authorities in several months.

  32. Mermaid14 says:

I think mom3.0 is exactly right. TH wants closure in the form of a death certificate and nothing more. If she was serious about finding her husband she would be down THERE not in Colorado. How sad that DH family has to participate in all these charades.
I don’t see how anyone in this case could present a legal death certificate with no body and absolutely no evidence of a crime even having been committed.
She is after that insurance money and nothing more. She needs to get a job and move on. There is no way the press is going to continue courting her after all this time and zero proof of a crime.
Does anyone know how we could find out if she has actually filed any papers seeking life insurance money?

  33. Mermaid14 says:

Mom3.0 thanks for the Denver link. Just read the story and watched the video. Only thing that stands out in my mind, for once Sheriff Sigi has NOTHING TO SAY?? He’s not even returning phone calls. For a man who had something to say in almost every story that was written about this incident, I find this new development very interesting.

  34. Mom3.0 says:

    Hi Mermaid14-

Tiffany is young, she has her whole life ahead of her. Its been 1/2 a year since that day on Falcon Lake.

Not to be insensitive or crude but, this whole situation kinda reminds me of that old Doris day/James Garner movie…”Move Over,” You know the one where she, DD is stuck on a desert island for 7 years and her bereaved husband JG, finds another love, and marries her because after 7 years the court declares his first wife dead?- its a good movie IMO

Anyway- my question/point is : If young Tiffany was lucky enough to find love again, would she need a death certificate to legally marry her love? Could she divorce david- even though she believes him to be dead? IDK…. Sadly if David is not found alive, nor his body ever found, would Tiffany have to wait 7 years inorder for the court to rule on his demise & legally declare him dead?

Maybe I just watch too many movies, but I’d appreciate any ones thoughts on this. TIA

  35. Mermaid14 says:

    Mom3.0
The problem here is that he died in Mexico. No one in the U.S. can declare him dead because he didn’t die here. I think the 7 year rule does apply to have someone declared dead possibly for purposes of remarrying. I still say she will NOT get that insurance money. It will be held up due to the circumstances surrounding the so called crime.

Nope, he died in Mexico, a death certificate must be issued from them, and again I say:

    Madison Rutherford.

    B

  36. Mermaid14 says:

I had never heard of the Madison Rutherford case before reading it here. I had tried to do a search but didn’t find much so I changed my search terms and just read quite a bit about the case. Yep, those insurance investigation firms will go after people when law enforcement won’t.
Reading about the case also made me wonder. People that do this usually do alot of research before they pull their scam as MR also did.
I am beginning to think that if this was an insurance scam that probably DH’s parents already know about it or have some suspicion.
But what are they going to do? Certainly not spill the beans, they have to be kept in the dark otherwise they could be prosecuted if this thing gets discovered.
DH’s parents may have been aware of the financial trouble this pair was in and they had to have been in trouble. Perhaps they might have even tried to borrow money from one or both sets of parents.
Perhaps their grief is in the fact that they know they have to stay completely away from their son otherwise they are complicit in the scheme.
I have to wonder which one of the pair was the most materialistic? Many times it is one spouse that drives the spending and the other just goes along with it.
Either way, they won’t get away with it. People who fake their deaths rarely do. Science and technology have caught up with the criminals.
I also think if this is a faked death DH may have even read up on the MR case and decided best to leave NO BODY behind whatsoever. Dead men did tell tales in the MR case.

  37. Mermaid14 says:

Just read a few more things that I had not seen before. One, a friend of David’s said this about him at his memorial service: “David liked the finer things in life.” Strange comment to make about a conservative Christian. Two, he did many “high profile” things that day to draw attention to the fact he was going to that lake. Like he called his mother that morning just to tell her where they were going when he rarely ever did. The comment to the police after the stop that we are going to “play for the day”. Also stopping at a sandwich shop knowing there was camera surveillance. And the wedding ring, deliberately leaving it at home when there are photos of him wearing it to go fishing. Alot of coincidences maybe, but I’m thinking not.
The only other thing with me is the law enforcement complicity but it is entirely possible that they just used the incident for shock value and to try and get more federal $$$ for the county. Tiffany courted them and the media to try and gain legitimacy to perpetuate the story.
As we all know this is no grieving widow. Something is bound to happen sooner or later to break this case. These people are just not that smart.

  38. gigi says:

This could be made a whole lot more simpler if someone in LE insisted on a polygraph. I know that is not admissable in court. However, maybe the Hartley family would pay attention. I think any one of us would have already said, “Give me a polygraph” , especially with a portion of people questioning TH’s story, as she calls it. TH has made her own reality. She embellishes more with every interview and every rally. Her story has changed each time. Rereading from the beginning since day one she has wanted David’s body. She stated she did not even care about justice, just his body. I am so tired of her whining about border security and saying she has brought it to the attention of America. Not so. Border security problems and issues have been a problem for years and have been known to any American with an intelligence for the news for years. Cartels, drugs, gangs, drug running, gun running is not specific to Mexico. Yes, there are areas of Mexico that one does not need to be in and anyone with the idea of travelling there should investigate the areas. But for Tiffany to continue to post each story that is in the news and align it with her proof that finally everyone is paying attention due to her scenario is wrong. This was happening way before TH and DH decided to go to Falcon that day. I keep saying the same thing, but dang this is frustrating that this little tinkerbell keeps working her magic. If real proof eventually reveals that TH is totally innocent I will be the first person to say I was wrong and how glad I am that I was, but so far….something is still rotten in Denmark.

I’ll bet you won’t hear TH complain about THIS on her website:
Following a two year long investigation by the DEA, it was revealed that from 2004 to 2007 Wachovia Bank, a subsidiary of Wells Fargo, has been caught laundering 373.6 billion dollars in drug cartel money.
No, tinkerbell won’t dare mention that not only is the bigger drug problem on the American side of the border, but apparently what to do with the spoils ends up here too. Why tell the truth when it is easier to demonize an entire race of people??? Oh and for the record, no arrests, no indictments. The FED allowed them to plea bargain the whole mess away. Is anyone still questioning law enforcement complicity in the drug problem??

  41. Mermaid14 says:

Ok, that second one worked. What I find so surprising is not that TH didn’t mention this, but neither did any other major news outlet that I know of. I don’t even remember how I found out about the story.

I caught the tail end of the CNN program that featured this story last night. In it, they mentioned the blood droplet on Tiffany’s vest and Sheriff Sigi confirmed that it matched David’s dna. Why is this the first time I have heard the confirmation? I don’t want to call anyone a liar, but I have a very hard time believing this is fact. With the way this story has been covered over the last 6 months, I wouldn’t be surprised if this was just some sloppy journalism.
I am glad that there was plenty mention of doubt of Tiffany’s story. I have to feel only pity for David’s mother for buying into it. She was the only one in my opinion that showed true grief.

Zinnia, your correct, that blood result has never been announced, if it was in fact blood at all.

    ————————

    I do.

She is “detached” which leads me to believe he is gone. I have never
seen anyone so unemotional about a loved one missing. She can not even
    pretent to be upset.

Did you notice TH’s jaw when Mrs. H. was speaking the other night?
TH jaw tightened, OMG. Her and that jaw, just eerie.

  44. GraceintheHills says:

During the program it was announced (actually a couple of times) that a small amount of blood found on the life jacket was a DNA match for David. I’m not sure we can infer anything from this.

No doubt about it. That girl is an odd duck.

I am really starting to wonder about her level of intellectual functioning. After listening to her many interviews over time, and noting her sentence structure, misuse of common words, lack of normal inflection, shallow affect, extent of vocabulary, and the manner in which she expresses her thoughts (complexity of concepts), she just comes across as not very bright, at all.

Hope this case is eventually solved, but I won’t hold my breath.

After several days of silence, TH has now posted on BDH site the news that Sheriff Sigi Gonzalez has two witnesses that “heard the shots” that day on the lake. Sheriff Gonzalez is now saying that there is also footage taken by a CGB helicopter that shows “six” men in a boat at the time of the crime. He also says that the people in the boat are dressed just like TH described….Huh???? Have we not been told repeatedly by Tink..er…Tiff that she was so focused on the gun that she could not describe the “pirates”??? The sheriff says that the jet ski was taken apart and the floatable parts disposed of and the sinkable part sunk and any other things from the debris field have now washed away. This man is as unbelievable as TH. All of a sudden he comes up with all this evidence that TH’s story is credible. Sorry Sheriff, not buying it. Go to Channel 5 News krgv.com Rio Grande.

OK…sorry again…after I entered my comment the link became clickable.

  47. Mermaid14 says:

Remember though that Sheriff Sigi said that the vest was still in the custody of Zapata county, then it was seen on the Today show. The sheriff is not a credible source of info at all. There is no way the Today show would have had that vest if it was still in the custody of Z county. Also, if something credible such as David’s dna was on it, it would never have been released to anyone much less the today show. It would have to have been held as material evidence in a crime.

  48. Mermaid14 says:

Almost forgot, read this about a week ago. Is it true that the jet ski that Tiffany returned to the US shore on was actually David’s? This was mentioned on some website, cannot remember which. Blink, is this just some rumor? I remember when I read it the person was telling it as if it were a known fact.

It is impossible it was David’s. It’s hers.
