Holly Bobo Missing And Endangered: Are Suspects Naming Themselves- Odd Dodd?

Darden, TN–

On the eve of the 4 week anniversary of missing Darden, TN nursing student, Holly Bobo, new investigative details are being learned about the case. Two unofficial persons of interest have taken their case “public” in a way.

While blinkoncrime.com was aware of this information, a decision was made to withhold it in the interests of the cases “active” status previously.

That was, until today, when one of the known person’s of interests in Holly’s disappearance, outed himself publicly.

Jonathan Dodd, son of Bradley Grafton Dodd, and Dena Logan Dodd, chose the Parsons topix forum to “defend” himself against what he termed “death threats”.

Blink, Editor In Chief of www.blinkoncrime.com, was able to confirm the poster on the topix forum was indeed, Jon Dodd.

Speaking exclusively to www.blinkoncrime on the condition of anonymity, an extended family member of the Dodd family, sheds more light on Master Dodd’s claims.

“.. Yes, that is definitely him. I have no idea how he can say he does not know the Bobo family, he went to Scotts Hill with Holly for a short time. Karen Bobo, Holly’s Mom, worked for Grafton Dodd, his grandfather, when he was the principle of the Parson’s junior High when it was still there, Brad and Grafton are on the school board, there is no way that is true what is said.

Jon Dodd High School List From His myspace

When he is saying something was stolen from the property, he is talking about the ATV you wrote about before, when I saw that, I knew you were aware of him.   Sandy  called the sheriffs department before she knew that Holly was missing to report that their ATV was stolen. Sandy is also the cheer leading coach at Riverside High, since forever, and she got into some minor trouble a few years back because she got caught rigging the tryouts. Nothing major, but everyone knew about it. Dena, his Mom, was a teacher at Riverside shortly after he got transferred, which is weird again.

Everyone in this family has been covering for Jon since he was a kid. I could not believe when he stabbed Brad with a scissors when he was about 8 1/2, there was a big cover up. Last year Dena moved to Gwinnett County because the grands let him get away with anything. He has a baby with Shelby Sellers and nobody really even knew about that until after.

Jon went to the great-grandparents for a while in Arab, Ala in 2006 after the girl was killed in the car accident that got his ass beat up when he said she deserved it, and again, nobody said a word. Brad and Dena started up that Boy Scouts thing for him and (redacted by blink).

What is he talking about? What does donate DNA mean? O that is totally him, I can tell by the “I get paid to hunt” or whatever. Speaking of hunting, the abandoned cabin that volunteers found, when Grafton was told, was when he refused permission for any other searches and they got a warrant. Grafton and Sandy were seen removing a mattress from that part of the property, the one they found in the place where the outhouses were used recently. (redacted) saw him in WalMart, he looked at her and said he did not do it, I swear. Really scary.

He (Jon) did not donate DNA, it was taken from him in the parking lot of Tuckers Diner, he did not have a choice. The LE came there and showed some papers. Grafton’s was taken too, but I don’t know were, I heard it was at the area of the Pugh property, by that Shayne Austin’s parents house.

Another doozie…”

The X Factor

A former boyfriend of Holly Bobo’s, Blake Barnett, is also doing nothing to avoid being scrutinized. It is clear from his facebook postings that he is aware of his “celebrity”, and that folks following this case, are reading.

While it does not make him a bad guy, we have confirmed that he has had a background of  alleged violence, in a former relationship with Holly Bobo.

He was the first name utttered by Holly Bobo’s parents, Dana and Karen, when they learned of her abduction.

That said, there is no known evidence linking Mr. Barnett to Holly’s disappearance.

Barnett is no stranger to violence, unfortunately, Blake, his brother and sister lost their parents Timothy and Janice in a brutal murder in 1993.

John Robinson, with actus reus assistance from his wife Kimberly, murdered both of the Barnett’s because they were after him for bounced checks.

Amelia, Blake’s little sister, was left in her crib for 48 hours before police found her while looking for the Barnett’s.  She survived.

There have been no official suspects or persons of interest named in the disappearance of Holly Bobo in 4 weeks.

There has not been a LE update to her case since May 2.

The search effort for Holly Bobo continues.

I am getting a bad feeling that this whole thing is going to blow up. I think this is more than pointing fingers and could lead to a something worse.

Too much tension between family, TBI, possible suspects and local LE.

  2. Shefner says:

Am I the only one here who thinks the family is acting in a detrimental way? I mean, on one hand, my heart breaks for them but I feel that something isn’t right.
At the same time, I don’t like TBI and have never felt that are a capable group of investigators. I thought the press conference was a bit tacky. There weren’t even any Holly posters at the press conference….no phone number to call with info. It just seems strange.
Could the Bobo family and TBI each be part of the problem with this case being resolved? I just don’t know….

Sorry but I am going to begin to sound like a broken record.

I think that the Bobo family should hire counsel, who in turn would have prepared the press conf appropriately for their goal. I say that with the utmost respect for them, but they need an advocate who has experience in similar matters. I am familiar with this general area and the difficulties of working with the TBI and they are in over their head through NO FAULT of their own. It should not be, but it is.

I agree there is a lot of tension. However I think this is bad for the suspect. If there are people in le covering for them then they should be taken down to.

I fear vigilante justice in this case. JMO

Agreed, and I have for a very long time. I thought that was a concern of TBI as well, but must not be since Helm was tweeting about it.

    Sad.

Just watched that video of the press conference, and as a father of three children, I cannot imagine what the last two years have been like for them.

I’m sure mistakes have been made by the family and by TBI. However, it seems as though TBI just basically put blinders on (for whatever reason) and totally stopped trying. The attitude of Mrs. Helm is unfortunate and unprofessional, and I am amazed anyone in that level of LE would even have a twitter account. It just stands to reason that nothing good could come from it.

With all of that being said, I do not blame Karen Bobo for taking things in her own hands. It may not have been the right thing, or the smart thing to do…..but at least she’s getting Holly’s name back out there and hopefully it will lead to her recovery.

    Agreed entirely.

    Hi all.

This way of going on for this case just let me look again at mine, so dear Blink, if you think that my opinion is out of line, please just delete it.
When two years ago, I saw that brief news for Holly’s abduction, I think that hey she is American and the best police force in the world is there, they are professional and will find her very soon.
I regretted at that time for myself because as a person with losing a very precious loved one, my only brother, as an apparent staged suicide and our police was not even bothered to try another scenario except their formal thinking. I said to myself, hey you didn’t have access to such professional force and in my country, that’s the way things going on.
Now here I am after two years and I see that, no the problem is with all the polices in all the world whom wouldn’t bother themselves to think a bit out of their own strategies.
The problem is that the polices in all the world cannot understand the pain. I’ve lost my lovely brother two days before my wedding and just God knows what I am going through every day and night. He was being taken from me and I become alone in this big world. For Bobos, they are going through more pain with losing and not knowing to grief or not. Their pain is much more than mine and we, all of us, must blame polices because they cannot UNDERSTAND the PAIN.
For Mrs. Helms, Holly Bobo is just another case but for her family and friends, she is one unique and not-to-be-repeated person that is missed always and forever, just like my brother for me and everyone’s lost loved one.
I don’t know what to do, so please just pray for all of lost loved ones to be found safe or at least the responsible ones being caught in justice. God helps us all.

Alex, what a unique perspective, I thank you for sharing it. I am sincerely sorry for the loss of your brother.

Blink – have you followed the Katelyn Markham case at all?

    http://www.fox19.com/story/21975966/attorney-katelyn-markham-was-murdered-by-serial-killer

I see that her body was found in April and some wonder if it was a serial killer. Given the vicinity of Katelyn, Lauren Spierer, Holly Bobo, and others, do you have any thoughts on the serial killer theory?

    1. I would question who this atty’s prospective clients are.

    2. He clearly knows nothing about the profile of serial killers et al, as he quoted characteristics that are equally found in many types of homicides.

    3. Lauren S. friends know exactly where she is and what happened to her. She did not disappear.

I don’t know the facts surrounding Katelyn’s case Jack, but on the surface there is no leap to be made here I can see.

As an example- LE thought Skyler Neese was the vic of a “serial killer” initially. As you know for the most part, we are not locating serial killers until there is a fairly established pile of victims and I am quite confident that many of which we still don’t know the extent of their victim count, unfortunately.

Some kind of extended family rebellion, perhaps? Is there a history of family fall outs (disagreements, charges pressed, etc, between extended family members?) The word ‘cousin’ comes to mind.

idk about person posting at that link or the source of the information, but if it is true, i found this snip interesting:

“✔Tennessee Bureau of Investigation officials said they are getting more leads than they can handle, including hundreds of calls about rumors. They ask ONLY people with SERIOUS information to call.”

to me it suggests that they have already some strong leads or a good idea of what happened to Holly and they are just looking for some missing pieces they don’t have.

otherwise, if they were just scratching their heads about this, they would be entertaining all calls, theories and information. jmo.

Thanks Blink…. No chance she’s alive or is it your belief she died shortly after abduction (exotic industry)? Thank you for your feedback, deetee. I appreciate it :) Sometimes I wonder if the statement ‘we have a lot of leads’ isn’t just a way to calm the masses. There’s been very few statements regarding Holly’s abduction. It’s pissing people off, especially Holly’s family (understandably so!). AJMHO

To my knowledge, Holly had not direct ties to the “shady’- outside of the connections I mentioned. I personally believe she is deceased, and has been since a few hours of her abduction.

I truly believe this family deserves a fresh set of eyes on her case, and that her family’s only hope is to hire an attorney to consult and to possibly consult on progressive actions.

I have wondered why there were not more searches in the direction of the Tennessee River. It is only 10-20 miles from Parsons. There are multiple access points and feeder creeks/tributaries. I have fished just south of the Parsons area, and it seems as though the river would be an easy place to hide a victim and “cover one’s tracks” so to speak.

I only remember one mention of a search in that direction, and it was within a week of the abduction.

If they haven’t found her between Parsons and the interstate……why haven’t they searched more diligently in the direction of the river?

    Just thinking out loud……..

  26. GeorgiaDad says:

I am saddened that this case doesn’t seem to be progressing.

I thought this would be solved quickly. Most of the cases covered at BOC involved mysterious disappearances, and this was witnessed. We seemed to know so much about this case. But, in retrospect we know little.

All that her brother really know was that the perp sounded young, was average height and weight and wearing camouflage. I suspect that that is all that most 23 year old young men would have noticed. I also suspect a lot of young men would have behaved similarly. For all we know he was wearing nothing but boxers and stepping out onto the carport to get caught up in a lover’s quarrel is no way to start the day. In fact, if he had gone out on the carport, he may have been shot. Men don’t pay attention to other men’s heights and weights.

The only thing that would make the initial situation out of the ordinary was the bizarre sequence of phone calls, and I suspect he thought his mother was over-reacting. But, it does feel like there is important information that has not been made public.

In summary, we have about the same information we would have if the abduction had not been witnessed. There are no distinguishing characteristics of the abductor and the get-away vehicle was not seen. He is apparently white in a county which is 94% white, young (county demographics 21.70% under the age of 18, 7.90% from 18 to 24), wearing camouflage during hunting season in a hunting area, and average height and weight (or at least what the witness feels is average).

On the other hand, in a county of 11,731, she likely knew her abductor (strangers don’t have long arguments on a carport with their victims), and somebody knows something and isn’t talking.

  27. Cindy says:

    @Georgia DaD 8-15-2013 @11:23 a.m.
I agree pretty much with everything you stated. Even with a very substantial reward no one is talking. My guess is either fear, intimidation, or the abductors are thick as thieves, and have no intention of getting charged with this crime. For that to happen, someone has to roll-over on someone else. It may never happen, but I like to think that it will as it is just a matter of time. Tick…tock….tick…

  28. Jack says:

Has there been any consideration of Holly’s abduction being linked to the investigation of John Patrick Edwards, the rogue LE officer who was charged with leaking confidential informant names? Could Holly have been an informant, her parents knew it, and that’s why her mom immediately told Clint to get a gun, and maybe why Clint’s witness account hasn’t been entirely consistent? Also could be a reason that very little information has ever been released about Holly’s investigation, including media coverage. If I recall correctly, Edwards was being investigated right before she went missing, and he was leaking the info to Mexican drug cartel, which would scare the crap out of any parent and brother. Just another possible theory …

  29. jeff says:

Anyone think this could have been done by a girl. Maybe one that has a drug problem and see’s Holly has someone with money.

  30. MomaBear says:

GeorgiaDad,most of what you said, I agree with. Except I don’t agree that we don’t have anymore information than if the abduction hadn’t been witnessed by anyone. Because Clint did witness it– we know approximately what time it took place, that she was in fact, abducted & didn’t just leave, we know she was taken from her home, that she was not raped and murdered there and her body simply removed (sorry for the horrible image)we know that she had some form of conversation with him– hinting that she might have known him, we know what direction they exited the property (not via the driveway), we know that only one person approached her and led her off the property, she was conscious and walked off…

  31. PA Grandmom says:

Can’t her brother be hypnotized to work with a sketch artist to get a identifiable face?

He never saw his face. He only ever saw him at a distance from the back.
    B

  32. Greg says:

Has it ever been determined by DNA tests that the blood that was found was actually Holly’s? Was it ever tested for the perp’s blood by any chance? Has it ever been made public in regards to how much blood was actually found? Could it have been enough blood that she could have died as a result of it? It seems hard to believe that there was no trail of blood found by dogs. If I recall, the description i read was that it was a small pool of blood.

I am Zachary Adams cousin. He is not capable of murder. I can tell you that much. Does he have a history of drug abuse? YES. Does he have a history of violence? YES. But his violence has never been random. He did not know Holly, and had no reason to hurt her. Law enforcement targets the ones that stay in trouble , hoping someone will eventually talk. This town is too small for someone NOT to know something. My heart goes out to Holly’s family, and I hope she is found soon, so they can get some closure. I have heard different names dropped as to whom is responsible, but without evidence, it is only rumor. I know Zach, he is not capable of hurting a girl he does not know.

Miss Leigh- I am very sorry for the troubles Mr. Adams is having and the effects on your family. Drug Addiction and abuse wreaks havoc in otherwise decent people and destroys families.
