Good show! Some real important insights.

Rose Ann or Angelina for your part in the movie. I’ll go with Angelina with blond hair.

Lol, I am NOOOOO Angie, but thank you.

  2. Ragdoll says:

Blinkster (lol)! I finally had the honour to hear you live. You and Dana would make a great duo in a crime movie. May I suggest Dwayne The Rock Johnson and Reese Witherspoon to play you (she has that fire cracker quality just like you AND that is a compliment)!

Great show. I was surprised to hear you say the defense ‘may’ put Casey on the stand. Does the prosecution have the oppty to cross exam her? I am scratching my head on how that would work and why the defense would take the risk.

    Well done my friendy :)

IF she takes the stand, and that is a very BIG if, yes, she is subject to cross-examination.
    Thank you kindly.

Nice to hear you again Blink-

Loved your statement about the circling around the trough.

I was glued to the “radio” while you discussed the “smell/can/liner coming in.

I thought you utilized the time you had expertly. Interesting about George and team talking with Keith Williams…I had forgotten that- I am gonna have to go back and review.

I hope you are wrong about your prediction IRT the aftermath of jury sequestration, I hope all will survive and will return to happy homes- Lets hope Absence makes the heart grow fonder…

    ____
    Blink,
You had mentioned in the radio show that Mrs.Bolin’s daughter contacted you and I hoped that you could elaborate on that more because – you seemed to get sidetracked in your thoughts alittle during that segment. TIA

And thank you for the week in review- I hope you will be appearing on the radio show weekly throughout the trial.

Nice job again Ms. Barr-Jolie LOL

Lol, thanks my friend, I hold Ms. Martinez in high esteem. SO sad.

  4. Mom3.0 says:

Oh Blink – I just read Ms. Martinez’s comment on the other thread- please disregard my previous question IRT this topic. how sad that she thinks her family is being attacked.

She seems to be very cognizant of her family’s well being… its sad that she and her sisters could not protected in the same way, while children.

My thoughts are with her and her family.

Gerus and Bones!… at the top of your (predicted) key prosecution witness list. (I’m all about the dogs.)

  6. Wildflower says:

I missed the radio show and I was wondering is there a way to listen again?

Seems like the prosecution would not bring up the air sample cans unless they are sure they can be used in court for the jury.

LDB kept asking potential jurors if they liked dogs, which I thought was maybe because they are bringing them to court for show and tell?

  7. Columbiares (Pam) says:

I’m so sorry if this has been asked and answered before. I did try to find on here if it was answered before. Do you know why Lee’s gf Mallory Parker was at the Anthony home on the day that Caylee’s remains were found? Was she looking for something or did she go there to destroy some sort of evidence? Thank you so very much in advance!

She was tending to the A’s dogs.

My question as well Blink, is it possible to listen to the show after the event?

I will update the site to include the podcast as soon as it is ready, and I will put (podcast updated) in the title for those on rss feeds.

Thanks, Dana is the best, if you have not listened to his show before, previous shows can be found here:

    Blink,

I’m glad that I had an opportunity to listen to you and the “week in review”. It was nice to put a “voice” with the “typing” and I enjoyed it very much.

I was most intigued by your statement that (pp and iirc)Casey Anthony may take the stand and that she is narcissistic enough to think that she might be able to pull it off. I have been feeling that she most certainly will take the stand for the same reason that you gave. I feel that it will be without her defense team’s approval, but feel that she will anyway, since she seems to be running the show. (I also feel that, deep in my heart, that the defense team knows EXACTLY the type of personality they are dealing with)

During the reading of the charges at jury selection, she shakes her head “no”, starts to cry, and appears (to me anyway) to be a little angry. At a hearing a while back when Jeff Ashton was describing the way that Caylee may have been killed, she shook her head “no”, got angry, said ‘make it stop’, cried, etc.

At those moments it’s almost like she is saying in her head ‘no, no, you’ve got it all wrong…If I can just get up there and tell you what ‘really’ happened, I know you will all believe me’. She is so confident/arrogant in her power of persuasion/manipulation, as all good narcissists are, that I feel she is just chompng at the bit to get up on that stand and tell her “story”….and I believe that it will happen.

This is all just my opinion, but that is the feeling I get from her when watching her.

  10. cindeefromwisconsin says:

Blink, regarding Casey taking the stand, if she does do this how far in advance does the defense need to notify the state so they are prepared for cross examination?

They don’t and I expect if they go that route they will want the shock factor. The prosecution will use her testimony to prep for her cross, as well as any other relative or impeachable statements that have been entered into evidence.

I can tell you unequivocally if Casey takes the stand this prosecution will shred her like my Mom’s chicken salad in minutes flat.
Casey is masterful at her “game” but not in front of people that already know what she will say, and what is true and what is a lie.

  13. Dellastreet says:

Blink, since I am as old as dirt…guess I just don’t get the Anthony’s parenting ideas or for that matter decisions like Rosalie Bolin. My folks raised me from as early as I can remember to take responsibility for my actions and never make excuses. They never covered for me or made excuses for me…there was always a consequence for my actions if I did something wrong. Through their example I was raised to be a good, truthful and honest kid. As a result, I raised my children the same, as did my children their children. It is something that is passed down from generation to generation. We are never perfect as parents but we do try to set a good example for our kids. It can never be one of those, “do as I say not do as I do” systems. Therefore, Rosalie has a lot of explaining but I fear she just doesn’t get it and never will. Her presence on the Casey Anthony defense team does not help Casey any in the public light. While the jury may not know, everyone else will and I am sure some day she will have another court matter on appeal. Why couldn’t Rosalie work from behind the scenes and stay out of the courtroom… away from the limelight? Never mind….I know the answer to that. As in the case of all the others on the defense…it is for monetary gain and publicity. As for Rosalie writing to all the blogs and protesting….perhaps she protests too much. If you can’t take the heat get out of the kitchen. She is the one who is responsible for her reputation and no one is telling any stories. My sympathy goes to her children who did not ask for any of this. Which begs the question Blink……is it possible that Mr. Gabriel, the Jury Consultant (who quit the day before jury selection and did the 48 hours trial fiasco) quit leave when he learned Mrs. Bolin was going to be involved? It was either that or he got a lot of flack for the T.V. program. Just a thought and my own opinion.

When Cindy, Lee, and George Anthony were shown a photo of the little shirt (found with Caylee’s remains) all 3 denied they had ever seen it before.

Law Enforcement has a photo of Caylee wearing the shirt!

Cindy, Lee, and George have said under oath they believe Caylee is alive!

Cindy, Lee, and George DO NOT WANT JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE!
The rest of the world DEMANDS JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE!!

  15. Mom3.0 says:

Blink I’m not sure which thread to post updates on-

So I’m putting this here cuz its your newest.

Todays jury selection The defense- used one of their strikes to get rid of a p- juror- a woman who had stated that she is mother with a 5 year old and a 2 year old, and that she wanted to be on the jury

    No other strikes.

We are now one away from J. Perry’s magic number.

So far, without back strikes we have 7 men and 7 women

    J. Perry says he will allow for back strikes but wants both sides to keep in mind he will remember if they asked a certain juror to come back earlier in the proceeding or not…He said that he will swear in the p- jurors tomorrow morning.

Question? Was there ever a phone hearing which Simms had previously said she wanted, concerning the hair study and the previous depo? TIA

  16. michigan fan says:

Didn’t Mason and Baez at some point say how smart Casey is?? How can she be so smart and fall into the mitigating factors that the defense has brought up to each and every juror??? Just saying, if your immature, taught bad coping skills, been abused sexually and verbally, and all of the other excuses that they plan on using in the mitigating part, doesn’t being so smart as they claim, kind of wipe out some or most of these factors????

    Blink or anyone please answer,
the video of casey’s reaction will not be shown in court but will the prison staff be called as a witness to verbally tell about her reaction to this news?? Also, will there be testimony about when Padilla found bones in Blanchard Park where he conducted his searching, how she didn’t even flinch that he was searching there, also be presented to the jury so that they can see the differences in her reaction??
Please let me know when you get a minute

Maybe it’s just me, but I find Ms. Finnell’s voice rather soothing and relaxing to listen to. I find her to be quite likeable too. She’s the best thing on the DT, imo. She mentioned during Saturday’s session she felt she was coming down with something. Hope she feels better soon :)

  26. NancyS says:

Oh I just do not understand how this jury can be a jury of KCs peers if none of them are white and or have chldren or “single” parent. I hate this more than most because I raised two sons on my own and would have VERY MUCH welcomed help or support from my family. I also knew who the daddy was and he promised I would not see a cent and his dad was a millionaire and I didnt see a cent til he got a big boy job like a year ago…. lol 28 years later (the age of my youngest son) lol he has started paying child support at 57.26 month..
There are just SO Many things about this case that irritate the hell out of me. MY mom was a nurse and we were upper middle class I guess and my mom was manipulative and vindictive, blah blah blah but I moved out when I was 16 to a friends house, that her mom just loved me and welcomed me in her home. thank God and I graduated and worked and to this day, my mom still don’t know me at all. I am 50 years old and both my boys are in the military… I was abused by a man that killed his own brother and had to move out of state over 1,500 hundred miles and still don’t think I got a bad deal, but I got to live and see my boys grown up with a couple grandkids too….

I want to see her get jury of her peers so it is fair, I wish they let us pick the jury reality show style… wouldnt that be great!

OK. I just listened to the podcast of Blink on Dana’s show (I missed the 1st 15 minutes of the live broadcast).

This is a wonderful broadcast to hear. You say what no one else does. (I know this isn’t new, you’ve always done that, Blink.) But this time it was especially refreshing.

Perhaps, it’s because I’ve heard so much from Belich & Sheaffer. I enjoy them too, but recently the WFTV format has Belich paraphrasing Sheaffer before showing the interview clips, resulting in repetition and I’m already repetition saturated from listening to Baez in court.

Thank You annals- Dana is one of the best interviewers around, imo.

    B

  28. annals says:

In court today, the 1st potential juror when asked about her prior media exposure, said she recognizes Baez from morning news shows.

It was satisfying to see the defense’s sunstantial culpability for the media storm displayed in court. Baez, for once, had the sensibility to look sheepish and a bit nervous. I loved that the camera operator panned to him listening at the table, while she was questioned about it. (The defense used their second premptery challenge to eliminate her – because, in my opinion, she has a 2yr old daughter.)

Agreed, and more importantly, it is on the record. One of my takeaways so far is that this process is filling in holes we don’t yet see.
    B

  29. Word Girl says:

    @Jane–LOL
Yes, Baez reads here, but he also read a lot of material to get a law degree. Did it stick or did it not?

Reading and understanding are different entities.

I loved it so much when I studied French (mucho years ago) to learn that one can comprende and/or entendre…(to know mentally and to truly understand).

    That’s all Folks!
Ciao for now…I’m sure I’ll find some other posts to support.
Thank you all for your unending love for Caylee Marie. It’s such
a sad, sad, sad, thing that happened to her.

  30. Word Girl says:

Another day, Another dollar for the Defense tomorrow.
Hopefully Ann Finnell will be feeling better.

btw, if Finnell is to receive credit for the new Casey clothing, then
I will give her due thanks. (With reminder to not allow KC to twist the sweater into a saran-wrapped heating pad, nerves or no nerves.)

The clothing is of much better quality and style. Whoever was in charge of the wrinkled, ill-fitting fabrics in past was out of their league–perhaps it was her attorney? her mother? stop me,please.

Y’all know how I feel about proper court attire!

    Ditto.
    B

  31. Ragdoll says:

    Word girl….

Proper attire, period, seems to be a thing of the past. La Senza for girls???????

    I’m with you!

  32. Mom3.0 says:

Thanks for all the great comments lately. Very interesting to read others thoughts on this process and Casey’s mannerisms and attire ect.

    ……..and then there were 11.

After back striking – tentatively have 11 possible jurors- J. Perry has called in more from the pool but so far, all have been exposed to too much information, and are unable to put it aside due to their beliefs that Casey is guilty hence they have been excused for cause- 1 other was excused for financial/job reasons.

LDB- tried her best today to argue for juror 1319 to be excused…her argument was brilliant and I commend her. BUT I believe J. Perry is correct in his reasoning, the prosecution played this one wrong, they did not question the P juror enough, nor did they ask the right questions.

Its a shame sometimes that so much rides on technicalities, in the justice system.

I am hopeful that this juror, nor any other will cause a hung jury…IMO its kinda like Forrest Gumps momma said, only as it pertains to jurors….

The jury selection process is like a box of chocolates…you never know what youre gonna get.

    JMO

Brilliant analogy Mom 3.0, and I agree, except maybe for the first time ever, I disagree that Judge Perry’s ruling on the strike prohibition to that juror is correct, will discuss in detail later.
    B

  33. Mom3.0 says:

Blink, I hope you will be able to share your thoughts on J. Perry’s ruling IRT the last juror( sorry cant recall # ) who was excused for cause. It happened just before the lunch recess. She was the juror that had a young grandchild- and could not except mercy (which isnt a cause reason) and said she wouldnt consider age.

I do not understand why J. Perry ruled to excuse her, as LDB pointed out other jurors answered questions in the same manner and still others have a young child/grandchild…

JPerry’s decision about juror 1319 IIRC, was in part due to the fact that other jurors were not challenged that had the same reserves about judging people….so I am now at a loss and I hope you will point me back on track with some positive reasoning on JP decisions- to disregard gender as a b. challenge TIA

Im sure there are details which i as a lay person do not know, or understand, and I hope you can help.

  36. Mom3.0 says:

Thanks Blink- and I was so hoping you’d agree with my positive thinking IRT 1319 – ….. because thats really all I was hanging my hat on my hopes and faith in JP…and right now, both are taking a beating….

I am concerned about the latest developments…
I look forward to your coverage of this Blink- in fact I am relieved that you will be sharing your thoughts ect with us.
