Casey Anthony Trial: Roy Kronk Smacks Back Releasing Statement Through Attorney

Orlando, FL-  Unedited Statement On behalf of Roy Kronk, sent to www.blinkoncrime.com for Immediate Release.

STATEMENT ON BEHALF OF ROY KRONK
Yesterday the Casey Anthony defense team, in its opening statement, suggested that Roy Kronk was somehow involved in the placement and disposition of the remains of Caylee Anthony.   This defense theory regarding Mr. Kronk is completely false.  The suggestion that Mr. Kronk took possession of Caylee’s remains is totally lacking in logic or explanation.  It did not happen.

Roy Kronk is and remains a private citizen whose sole connection to the Anthony case is that he, among all those searching, located the remains of Caylee Anthony and immediately, and repeatedly, reported his find to local law enforcement.  He has provided sworn statements to law enforcement, a sworn deposition to the defense, and will provide sworn testimony at trial.  He has been truthful throughout.

In their unrelenting search to conjure up villains to deflect attention from Casey Anthony, the defense team has tried repeatedly to cast Roy Kronk in the role of bad guy, even to the extent of making statements about him on national television that they knew to be false.

As he has done from the outset, Mr. Kronk will hold his head high and continue to speak the truth about what he found and will trust in the judicial system to reach a just result in this case.

Attorney for Roy Kronk

quick thought?? Caylee died on June 16th according to Defense. Roy Kronk wanted the reward of 250,000 right?? Well the reward didn’t even exist until after July 15th!! How they gonna explain this one???

They can’t. I covered it in the previous piece, your correct.

I have yet to speak to a criminal defense attorney who does not think this “all in” tactic will result in anything but a conviction.

Morning:) Justice 23 i see no contradiction to the fact that JoJo told he left for work while defense alledged Caylee drowned that Day in the pool while George was there?? Casey left as George told and Casey came back with Sweetheart Caylee after her father left the house. I don’t speak fluently english so it is possible i didn’t catch what you really ment to say.
To Liam: i am for life so i understand your concernes about DP. But without talking Penalty ( because i am not à judge and this is not my decision) concerning Casey there were told so many lies but so many lies that with a bit reflection it is obvious that Sweetheart Caylee didn’t die because of an accident!!!! So i am Not for DP like you but i am for the truth and Justice to the victims.

Oh Liam. We are open minded at BOC. We seriously consider informed opinions with respect (whether some of us agree to it or not). A gut feeling Caylee’s death was an accident is ‘ignorance’, respectfully speaking. You have nothing that supports your comment. Theoretically, yours cannot be considered an opinion without facts. Humour us and educate yourself on the details. I know I am coming across in a sharp tone, but, Caylee Marie is dead. It is a fact that most children die at the hands of someone they know, including a parent/s.

    -snipped-

Child murder is not necessarily common, but it is a leading
cause of child death in developed countries, and when child murder occurs, the perpetrators are most likely the children’s parents (Marleau, Poulin, Webanck,Roy, & Laporte, 1999; Stanton & Simpson, 2002).

    http://www.publications.villanova.edu/Concept/2005/Filicide.pdf

Have you considered all the circumstantial evidence, which is plastered all over the Caylee Anthony thread on BOC? It’s a long read but I highly suggest you go through the posts.

Did you know Caylee’s skull was found with duct tape wrapped so intently, that it covered her mouth and nose? Did you know that strands of Caylee’s hair were found on that duct tape? Did you know that the duct tape used was a rare brand that the Anthony family just happened to have in their possession?

Did you consider that Casey was the only one driving the vehicle that contained the hideous and unmistakable stench of decomposition in the trunk of her car? If it wasn’t Caylee in that trunk (who just happened to be ‘unseen’ for 31 days by anyone but Casey) who do you suppose was rotting in that trunk?

I can go on and on, but I ask one favour of you. Please inform yourself on this site, google the evidence, the depositions (whatever means you feel is best for you)…..AND, if you repost your informed opinion that it was an accident, it will be respected. You will have very few in your corner, but if you’re ok with that, so are we.

This is not about Casey. It’s about Caylee Marie Anthony. SIDE BAR, if you will: Duct tape does not support an accidental death.

  8. MsEnscene says:

I guess this comes of raising a daughter who is held to no standards and no responsible behavior. Casey has never been made to own up to any of her faults or crimes. Cindy has always stepped in to prevent Casey from paying the piper. Why should anyone expect Casey to “man up” even to an accident which caused Caylee’s death? I never escatly who was supposed to be looking after Caylee when she got into the pool? And when was the “accident”? While everyone was sleeping? While Casey was at “work” on the 16th?

How ae they going to explain the duct tape in this accident scenario? I believe Mr. Baez overlooked that problem in his opening. I expect Baezz will claim George put it over Caylee’s mouth and nose to prevent fluids escaping. Or did Roy Kronk do that?

I don’t think Tony L. is so cute. I don’t like his morals. His saying that he didn’t want daughters in an effort to hint to Casey that he wasn’t serious about her, but still enjoying her “services” as chief cook and bottle washer and sexy bed mate. He is despicable. Don;t mention that’s how guys are. Some are. Some aren’t. Yuck.

I’ll give Tony this: he didn’t think it was appropriate that Caylee sleep over at his place with mama. He’s one up on Ricardo Morales. What a group.

I understand the trial has just started and I will wait to hear all the evidence before deciding. It`s an awful mess this young woman has found herself in, her young daughter dead and the public baying for the death penalty. It makes me sad that things like this happen in the first place and maybe I just can`t get my head around the idea that a mother could do this to her child. Even so, life in prison is punishment enough. Is life in prison an option in this case or must it be the death penalty?

Life in prison is a possibility, and if she is convicted on the lesser lesser includeds, which up until Tuesday I thought was more likely, she could get a sentence where she would be paroled one day, potentially.

I am open to the DP, but honestly, there is no doubt in my mind that life behind bars would be a much stiffer penalty for this girl.

I’m sorry if this has already been discussed, and if so, would appreciate a link back to where if anyone recalls. Just how many pets had Casey had, that she had a special burial place for them? Her calmness after Caylee’s death (whether intentional or due to neglect) made me wonder how much practice she had dealing with the process of moving on after death. Her parents know this, whatever the answer is. Did she love Caylee, but as a pet, not as a child? These witnesses talking about her demeanor, including immediately after Caylee’s death, brought this back to mind.

The thing that gives me the most doubt that Caylee’s death was completely intentional, is the flurry of calls that Casey made on that day. (I realize it could be seen in other ways.)

  11. MsEnscene says:

I think someone (pehaps Kio Marie?) stated that Casey never actually buried any pets near the school in the wooded area. Her friends did that with their pets and Casey watched her friends.

And as I understand it, the terrain, where Caylee was found, was not the wooded area closer to the school where the pet were buried.

  12. Starsky says:

Blink, is it true that if you get the DP you are put in a cell alone and are not mixed with the general population? If so, I think life in prison is a better option for baby killers. Life in fear of what other inmates might do to you is a stiffer penalty than life in a single cell IMO.

Yes, 23 hours a day and 1 hour private exercise/shower.

And as my father died two Years ago i wasn’t trained to that. it hurts so bad and it doen’t go away.:( so… PET or not i don’t understand the coolness of Casey toward Sweetheart Caylee. Good morning- thank goodness I can watch the testimony in real time- lacking sleep while attempting to catch up.
The last day of testimony was rather tedious- with the many sidebars and it appeared to be like pulling teeth from the witnesses. Happy to see JA up again, I find it easier to follow his line of questioning.
I hope the jury was able to catch the rehabilitation of the event where Casey drove her car with Maria, Clint & Tony as being prior to June16th, as Maria made it sound, ? her recall that it was later in the month. ( oh dear).
Just for the record- I agree with those of you that state Baez appears to be assisting the Prosecution with his odd and purposeless questioning.

This is just my take, but Casey ‘seemed’ like a good mother because she considered herself to be on display. Casey is narcassistic. Everything she did or said was posed and contrived to appear like she was someone she really is not….a caring person with emotions. IMO, Casey shows sociopathic tendencies. If that is true, she is and needs to be in control and that would include how she is perceived. She knows how to play off of people’s emotions to fit in but she is not capable to feel genuin remorse, guilt, or accountability. Everything she does is about Casey, only for Casey. I do not believe she had an iota of natural, maternal love or instincts.

    Again, jmho.

Aaahh Blink, it eases my fears to hear you say that up until Tuesday you thought that perhaps KC might possibly be convicted on only the lesser included charges.
I felt that Baez’s opening statement was a fiasco of massive proportions – but what do I know?
Hearing you say this is so very reassuring!!
Baez with his convoluted “everyone in Orlando is responsible except for my client” throw it all at the wall to see if any of it sticks – really did suck as bad as I thought it did.

LWOP for KC would be hell on someone like KC. MOO
She won’t find her living situation at the Big House quite as tolerable as she’s had it in the Orange County Jail.
Her visitor log entries will dry up – b/c everyone that is now catering to KC will move on with their lives.

There will be appeals with either sentence, but a DP sentence would bring so many automatic appeals in this state – which means we would be hearing Casey Anthony’s name in the news for years and years to come.

Lock her away at Lowell for life and never let me hear the name Casey Anthony again.

confused as always?????? Is George doing harm by saying he put the tape on the case can. I thought he said long ago he did not put the tape there.

Can you imagine what must be going through George’s mind. My daughter has made up a drowning because I molested her(which never happened). Which means for her to have to do that has to mean she murdered my grand daughter.
This was no accident. She would have called 911 if so. She had to hurt Caylee in a way that she could have never explained.
I believe George has finally got it. SHE KILLED HER!!! And now has to try to get out of it as always. So why not dad.

Hey C! I’m not sure where Jose is going with this either. He’s determined. Maybe he wants to prove that Casey wasn’t the only one who handled the duct tape?

I also think he WANTS to get George all riled up to prove he is an aggressive man capable of abuse. He didn’t provoke other witnesses to this degree.

If JP wasn’t so focused on pushing this trial through, it might be possible Baez is found in contempt? I’d sure love to know what everyone else is thinking about this sick approach to cross examination by JB, especially towards George AND the gas cans. Maybe we can chalk it up to just plain old ignorance, incapable-ity-ness (not a word, I know) and lack of experience.

I cannot believe he thought he could get away with using a picture that was not processed as evidence to begin with.

Baez should be gansta. Mo’ Ron would be a good name.

  31. chelsea says:

Blink – I’m sure most of us are in agreement that Baez is making a hash of defending Casey but what I don’t get is surely he is being guided/instructed by Mason, he being the highly qualified DP attorney. Do you think Mason is frustrated with Baez’s handling or do you think the only course of action open to them is to muddy the waters and to try and goad GA into an explosive reaction. I believe George is coping well under the circumstances and hopefully the lunch recess will allow him to collect himself. I do find it odd that Cindy, knowing she is almost definitely going to be put on the stand, is allowed to witness George’s testimony but then I guess nearly everything they did, said, acted upon etc. is in their depositions which are already in evidence.

  32. MsEnscene says:

I can’t watch Judge Perry compressing months of law classes for Baez into one morning’s court session. Golly, but it is painful! Judge Perry is not losing his cool but he is speaking so very slowly and clearly to JB!

What is with the gas cans? How many exchanges with the gas cans between Casey and George and LE and George have there been? And he put the tape on them when returned by Casey? But he didn’t put the tape on them when they came back from LE. Because it was a super sloppy job of putting on the tape when LE returned them.

I know the cans and the tape are important because of the duct tape covering the holes. Is it a match for the Caylee duct tape?

I’m lost and Baez doesn’t make it any easier.

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Ms Anthony does not have to prove her innocence, it is up to the prosecution to prove her guilt, that a murder was committed and that she was responsible. As ludricious as the defence may sound, I for one believe it is going to be very hard to prove a murder. Watching this trial and hearing the same evidence for the first time like the jurors I can`t shake the feeling this was a genuine accident that was dealt with crazily. There are no winners in this no matter what your view or opinion or the eventual outcome but I have to say, shame on those of you that advocate the death penalty.

No shame on me Liam.  An eye for an eye.  Perhaps if the entire country upheld this type of view, a person may think twice before committing a crime.  Regardless of the outcome, remember this:  in the end (and I mean eternally), Casey will get what’s coming to her.

  40. A Texas Grandfather says:

It appears that the prosecution is building its case one brick at a time. We are finding some things from the witnesses that we did not know about.

The trial might be a day further along if the judge didn’t have to keep explaining the rules to Baez.

George explained why he placed the tape on the gas can vents. He did not want the vapors to get out of the cans into the shed or penetrate the house. This trick also saves gasoline by not allowing a contineous vaporization to take place. Gasoline needs to have high vapor pressure components present to aid in ignition. Gasoline shipped to cold climates in the winter or “winter grade” has butane or propane injected to increase the vapor pressure. The vents have to be open in order to pour gas from the spout without removing the fill cap.

    MsEnscene

You are a little more straight forward about Tony and his morals than I was when I posted about how he used women to make money and obviously used Casey in other ways as well.

Baez is working on the gas can angle with George and Tony try and get them to admit smelling or not smelling an odor of death from the trunk. However, neither one of them provided an answer that supported his need. Both stated that Casey interceeded and took the gas can from Tony and filled the car and when she returned the cans, she prevented George from getting near the open trunk and then closed it immediately.

This tells me that Casey knew the body was in the trunk or had been in the trunk long enough to leave an odor of death or decomposition and did not want that fact known to George or Tony.

I am sorry to learn that you lost your father at such an early age. Loosing a parent is hard. Girls and young women need a father as much or more so than guys.

Look around your life situation. There may be an adoptive “poppa” for you. I have several women and guys that I have fulfilled that role for them at an important point in their life. If such a person exists, you will know it by how they treat you. The type person you are looking for is one who will council you, support you and help you keep your life moving in a meaningful direction.

  41. lizzy says:

I watched just a few snippets of George’s testimony from yesterday last night before the storms blew in and blew out my internet.

ATG, I agree that the trial would be further along if JBP didn’t have to keep explaining the rules. I think that he has been incredibly patient, and have concluded that the hearings have prepared him for this and he didn’t really expect Baez to up his game. (But, I noted that, at least in the clips I saw, that JBP also did not admonish George to just answer the questions and not lecture Baez.)

But, the part that really got me was Baez’s inability to frame a question in a logical, clear and answerable manner. For the first time, and in a matter of minutes, I found myself “liking” George Anthony. Especially when he started paging through the book to see if he could help Baez out and find the particular deposition date.

(Although the bit I saw about grass mowing got me, too, and I think George had a little “fun” with Baez there. I was waiting for him to ask Baez on which dates he mowed the lawn in 2008.)

Why couldn’t Baez just ask, “Did you mention the gas can incident with any authorities between July 15 and July 31?” Was he trying to get a misstatement in the record or confuse the jury? Or is he just unable to be logical?

  42. Heidi says:

Blink… have you had time to watch the video I sent regarding the item passed from Casey to Baez? If not, I re-send the link. Somebody, somewhere gave Casey an item… or she stole it (which wouldn’t surprise me) and handed it over to Baez after the break). HELP?

  43. peggy says:

Even if you believe Kronk’s story–you have to admit it’s a strange story.

How is it that Kronk and only Kronk saw this? Many people mention TM but I thought it was at least a month or more after Caylee was reported missing that he got involved and searched the area and prior to that it was the FBI and local LE. Didn’t someone say they searched that area? At that time just about everyone in that area was searching!

What about dogs? Did they search that area? IIRC, they did search further down the road (the Kiomarie place, I think).

If someone told you they saw a skull (wow!) could you then get distracted by a dead snake (fairly common occurrence) in the road completely forgetting about seeing a SKULL!?

What about the comments from his ex-wives or his step son? Are we supposed to believe that everyone but Kronk is lying?

Kronk also made money off this—wasn’t he paid 50,000 for his snake pic by GMA? Didn’t a part of it go to back child support?

    Why was Kronk fired?

Again, I’m not accusing Kronk of anything, I’m just merely pointing out I think his story is odd (actually this whole case is bizarre) and these might be the issues that Baez brings up when Kronk takes the stand.

According to Baez poor little Caylee was already deceased, so he’s not accusing Kronk of killing her—right?

Because it genuinely appears to me that Mason is coaching her on exactly when to cry each time certain witnesses are on the stand talking about specific things.

If I were that jury, I’d be severely insulted by that and I would remember that come time to deliver not only my verdict but to vote for life in prison or death at the end. Despicable … all of them.

    ATG,

You are a kind, compassionate soul! Thank you for your words of comfort and wisdom. You have reminded me I have much to be grateful for!

I am blessed to have a husband who has been a perpetual pillar of love qnd strength for me. My son has many qualities of his Grampy I am fortunate to witness every day (especially his silly, mischevious humour). Above all, my faith has sustained me every step of the way. It is an honour to be his daugther. No regrets!

Hugs from Alberta, Canada, ATG! I celebrate our crossing of paths <3

I think the area where Caylee was found was under water for a time. This was due to the hurricanes that dumped a lot of water in the area.

The policeman or sheriff’s deputy that responded to Kronk’s call was more than a little lazy. To excuse himself from investigating further because a snake either was present or could be in the area makes no sense. He had a side arm and there may have been a 20 gauge shotgun in the trunk of the patrol car. Maybe he didn’t want to mess up his shoes.

A good trial lawyer is going to frame questions so that an answer is a straight yes or no or at least so the witness does not have to go into a long explanation. The other thing is that the expection of the answer to the question is applicable to the message the jury needs to hear regarding your position. Baez fails this test completely.

A real suprise to me this morning regarding the testimony of the Johnson Tow Company supervisor. This guy has some real experience with the smell of death and he also worked for Waste Management so he knows the difference between the two odors.

I wonder if the state has survelance video of Casey leaving the car in the lot by the dumpster. They may have a suprise for the defense if they do. Brick by brick the wall is being built. Soon it will completely enclose the defendant in its truth.

Ms.Emscene ~ You are so right about the Grandmother..Cindy. Casey has her parents between a rock and a hard place… I just feel so bad for them. She is a sociopath for sure. Its so easy to want to make your childrens lives so they never have problems and try to do so much for them. They wind up hating you though. I really think deep down she killed her child to get at her Mother.

Just a small corection. It is a common misnomer that Florida was hit with hurricanes in 2008. It was not. What hit Florida August 18–24, 2008 was Tropical Storm Fay. Albeit a bad one, it was just a tropical storm, never achieved hurricane status. It did dump a lot of rain in Brevard County (aprox 25-30″) over August 19-21st 2008, more rain than any other storm in recorded history. Brevard County is the coastal county due east of Orange County.
