Kyron Horman Missing Case Breaking News: Remains Believed To Be Human Located Off Sauvie Island
Sauvie Island, Oregon-There are unconfirmed reports that a teenage boy fishing off of Sauvie Island located a human skull, and potentially other human body parts.
Update 1: As referenced on KOIN, a teenage fisherman believes he snagged a scalp with human hair attached, which he originally thought was horse hair. Columbia County detectives cordoned off the scene last evening and MCSO dive teams entered the water but found nothing. The possible “hair” was sent for testing.
Multnomah County Sheriff Office will not comment on the find, or confirm whether their office has facilitated the removal of same, or forwarded any items to the medical examiner for testing.
Following the disappearance of Kyron Horman, Sauvie Island has been the subject of repeated searchers for the missing Skyline second grader with no results.
It is also the former home of a man considered to be Federal fugitive following a confrontation with a Lincoln City officer with nearly fatal results. Officer Steven Dodds was able to return to duty after extensive rehabilitation.
Durham was a Sauvie Island resident for over 6 years and a volunteer fire fighter until he was removed from duty 6 months prior to the shooting.
David Durham’s dog was recovered injured following what appeared to be an accident in the suspects vehicle and is being cared for by a friend of the family. Mr. Durham has not been seen since his vehicle was recovered in the bay town of Waldport, Oregon.

I thought it strange when I read that neighbors reported hearing gun shots coming from the Horman property – for hours on end – at night I think. Is this true? I tried to find the link. I believe the article was from WW, but couldn’t find it. Could this really be true? Seems too odd. Where was Kiara while this was going on?

I think the timeline should have said after Kaine & Kiara (not Terri) moved out. I found this article from examiner.com. The wording about LE saying they wouldn’t speak to who made the call and about it being part of the case sounds like the timeline language.

Those are some beautiful properties on Plainview, not inexpensive. Alpacas in my area are $3-$4000, I’m surprised they sell that low in that area.

Speaking about gps and gps systems, I don’t recall reading that KH’s white Ford pickup (early-2000 year model?) had a gps system or a working gps system. If it did, then why would TH’s whereabouts/timeline on June 4 be such a mystery?
I’m thinking the red Ford Mustang (2007 model?) may have had a factory-installed gps system.
Just thinking on why the use of the truck on June 3 and 4, when from what I can tell, Kyron’s project could have fit into the trunk of the Mustang.

I have always found this story odd. If I heard gun shots in my neighborhood at all hours of the night I’d call LE. I know Sheltered Nook is sort of country, but it is still Portland city limits and shooting guns there is likely illegal. At the very least I would think some of the neighbors would ask KH to knock it off so they could sleep. Also, how do they know it was coming from his property? Gunfire can really echo and is often hard to pinpoint in wooded areas. All JMO and a MOO for good measure!

Good point about the gps system. Maybe the stolen gps from Lake Oswego was placed inside the KH truck for some reason. Is that why someone was seen inside the truck when TH was inside with Kyron?
I recall reading that there were several SI homeowner witness accounts to a white truck and red mustang racing around SI that morning. Has that ever been confirmed? I recall KH contacting Intel Legal within days of Kyron’s disappearanceI would imagine they would have records as to his desktop, phone and clock in/out.

Exactly, MBS . . . possibly for SOME advantage, ulterior motives imo.
The questions you/we have lie in the recordings and transcripts of the 911 calls. The same copies of the 911′s that Houze&Bunch have unsuccessfully requested. Of course as a defense team they require as much information as possible, but imo they are also attempting to verify whatever their client has told them. We all know at this point in time their client has not been charged with anything, so their right to obtain evidence in what may be a criminal matter like solicitation for murder does not yet come into play.
If I recall LE did arrive at the home during the sting in response to her 911 call of receiving threats – - LE in general apparently was not apprised of the plan. At that point the sting ended and the LE-stingers had to come clean with TH (again, from what I can recall from 2 years ago). That’s why I question the content of the obtained communications to KH and a friend sent after the sting.
Fishing trips, appearance, cya, etc. – - perhaps, maybe, possibly.

I can see, as was suggested, the L Storm being Lorraine Storm, not Logan Storm. I can believe that Burgess Hanson is aka Logan Storm, so the Storm connection is a red herring.
The name of Jack T Major is still connected with that address, and Jack T Major is a Florida convicted molester registered living in Hillsboro, OR. My guess is he is connected with the Goldfarbs who resided, were employed and went to school in Florida.

Kaine is wearing a kick boxing glove of some kind and is glaring at the camera his bare muscled arm across the back of a chair frames a picture of Kyron from June 4 which looks to have been photo shopped into the picture.. The picture is the only thing on the facebook page you have to log into Facebook to see it.

Those of you interested in the testing of the hair from Sauvie’s Island – unfortunately, I don’t have an answer, but this 2012 report on the backlog at the Oregon State Crime Lab re DNA testing is interesting. One reporter on June 11th said results in about 2 weeks, another said 6 to 8 weeks. It could be they found it was nothing important and reporters don’t think anyone cares to know more. Could also be that they found something significant but only recently, and it is confidential regarding whatever it is related to. Another thought is perhaps they tested first to find out if it was human hair and then went back to test more if it was, taking even longer?
Procedural question – in the case of a child who is kidnapped or disappears, does LE/FBI start early on by getting the child’s or a family member’s DNA sample to have on file for identification purposes if any evidence is found? Or do they wait and see what happens?
Obviously, June 11th was almost 3 months ago.

He worked at the university hospital (like Goldfarb) and now works in IT, for Sage Timberline Software, as I previously posted.

I notice that Kyron has two arms in this picture. It is the the same famous picture of Kyron that Terri took of him standing next to his science project, where his left arm was missing.
I also wonder about Kaine’s kick-box glove, his kick-ass expression, along with the pink flamingo and the red ribbon on Kyron’s photo. It is all very interesting.

The JVM transcript had an error:
HORMAN:
“It was determined that we should abate the case, basically putting it on hold for a three-month period until January of 2011, at which time we had another hearing to talk about the best interests of all parties involved. A lot of the circumstances were talked about in the filing by the judge in the latest civil case that was filed yesterday.
And the points were reiterated in there as to why we evaded originally in the divorce proceeding, and we`ve been on hold ever since.
That will come up, I believe, this November.”
The last sentence is incorrect – - I know because I watched the repeat of the show specifically for the correct words of KH (the transcript was posted prior to the repeat, noticed the error):
KH said
“That will come off abatement this November.”
