Alexis Murphy Missing: Suspect Randy Allen Taylor Arrested For Abduction Under Investigation For Possible Serial Abduction and Murder With Ties Also To Samantha Clarke and Alicia Showalter Reynolds

Nelson County, VA-

Randolph Taylor

Announced this morning by  Virginia Commonwealth Attorney an arrest has been made in the abduction of missing Lovington woman Alexis Murphy.

Randolph Allen Taylor,  is being held in Albemarle County Jail on a kidnapping charge.

Murphy’s vehicle was found over the weekend in a Charlottesville Carmike parking lot near her job at a consignment boutique,  Murphy has not been located and was last seen at a gas station approximately 39 miles away.

Taylor was the recent recipient of vacated charges when Green County, VA Major Randy Snead authorized the placement of a GPS, without a warrant, under Taylor’s 1993 Gran Marquis while investigating his association to another missing woman- Samantha Clarke.

Snead was exonerated in any wrongdoing after he chased a 19 year old man who had stolen a deputies vehicle out of his jurisdiction and was part of over twenty officer’s responsible for shooting the suspect, Colby Eppard.

The FBI is also looking for a GMC Suburban which is also associated with Randy Taylor.

During today’s press conference,  Richmond FBI Chief announced that law enforcement will not be commenting on reports of Taylor’s  suspect status in other possibly related unsolved cases, however,  www.blinkoncrime has learned that at the top of the possible case list is the unsolved abduction and murder of Alicia Showalter Reynolds.  Taylor bears a strikingly similar resemblance to the sketch generated in Reynolds disappearance and murder.

1996 Showalter Suspect

Two unsolved murders in 1996 Shenandoah National Park, Julianne Williams and Lollie Winans which resulted in a 2002 indictment against Darrell Rice ended in the withdrawal of same in 2004 due to a DNA profile found that did not match  Rice.  It is not known if police are investigating any potential involvement by Taylor in that case.

Although Virginia State Police and the FBI have a DNA match to whom  they believe is responsible for the assault and murder of Morgan Harrington after she was denied re-entry into a Metallica concert at John Paul Jones arena- which matches a composite sketch of an African American man also wanted for a sexual assault in 2005 in Fairfax,  sources inside Harrington’s unsolved murder case have confirmed that they have been asked to look into any similarities.

This is a developing story, please check back to blinkoncrime.com as more details become available.

This dude Randy Taylor is a real gem.. His new story through his attorney couldn’t be anymore full of shit.. Claiming that he spoke to Alexis at the gas station about weed, and she followed him to his house where they met up with a ” black man”. What is it 1950 in his head? Where people blame everything on the “black man”. Give me a break already tough guy!!! In fact he claims this wasn’t the first time he met Alexis and had talked to her before at the car wash where he is employed about pot. Now I don’t know about you folks down there, but where I’m from the last person I needed to get in touch with to get weed when I was 17 was a 48 yr old man or woman. Especially being an athlete in high school among other things.
This is a 17yr old girl who seems to be popular and is good looking along with being an athlete, and I would bet my 401k and my retirement( I’m only in my mid 30′s so it’s not to loaded yet) that she could get any drug she wanted if she chose to go that route. This girl wasn’t lacking self esteem judging by her social media life. Therefore, NO WAY NO HOW would a female who looks like her be caught dead gallivanting around town with a dude who looks like he could be cast as the guy in the Saw series.
There are just WAY too many coincidences in 2 cases for this guy not to be a psychotic serial MORON. His first brush with the Samantha Clarke case his story was that one of his younger buddies and his gf were the last 2 to see her and he was trying to warn her that they were going to jump her. If it smells like shit usually it is shit. Now this guy wants to blame it on ” the black drug dealer”, and not man up, bc he’s a coward. I wonder what this black dude looks like if he does exist? Does he match the allusive ” Sketch” that we’ve all been surfing the net to see if LE has arrested? It is very typical to push blame towards others, but this dude hopefully is going to get his eyes stabbed in prison. I really hope they find Alexis sometime soon.

Alexis tweeted freely about getting high. I saw this online a few days ago. But Randy Taylor is likely a pathological liar/stalker and he no doubt has read her tweets and understands how to create doubt–as in “beyond a reasonable doubt.” So Taylor claims: there was this other guy that Alexis knew who had the weed to sell to him; they all went to Taylor’s camper in separate cars but Alexis and her friend left together without Taylor. Plausible (creates doubt) but highly unlikely. JMO but RT was in close contact with two young women right before they disappeared. NOT a coincidence.

Apparently, there is evidence beyond a hair of Murphy’s found around or in Taylor’s camper. LE is not saying what they found. See article:

As I’m watching JVM- for the first time ever- they’re pretty much laughing at his story about the drug dealer. The first topic that was breaking news was that there was several cell phones found on his property.. This guy is a MONSTER!!!! The fact that it is 2013 and people are still renting porn vids from a xxx store is retarded when there is more of that shit online these days then needs to be. Also, what does this psycho weigh 110 lbs? He looks like a little feeble old man. Taylor must either have this immense rage built up inside or he def needs help. Did anyone else read the story where a witness said on 8/3 that Taylor was parked in his camo suburban across the street from the gas station at a Food Lion just watching people walking in the parking lot?

to be honest, and I am NOT trying to victim bash, but it’s possible there could be a shade of truth to the story RT’s mouthpiece and pr person (aka his lawyer) is telling the media. however I think RT told his attorney a version to make him look less guilty. i think it could be plausible, that if there is a second person involved, RT or the AA man he is claiming was the last to see Alexis, lured her by saying they had good weed or something or would smoke her up. Maybe she agreed and went with them and then RT and his accomplice committeed what I believe to be a murder. Maybe this is their MO or a way they lure young women. I’m not saying its likely but it is possible. Again, NOT trying to victim bash, just posting a possible scenario

  10. Redly says:

Poor girl. Olivia’s link makes me think we aren’t too long from an announcement they have found her body or evidence of violence.

Rat, I read a lot of her twitter also and nothing in it makes me think there was even a possibility she would approach him. She was a cute, young, party girl. Pretty typical IMO. He was an old, unattractive, life loser. The two don’t mix.

Personally, at the end of the day, I believe there is bio evidence from field testing that at a minimum, proves Alexis was injured on that property et al.

I dont believe, especially in VA, that they are arresting Taylor for a hair that was found, which is subject to secondary transfer regardless of it’s integrity when collected. There is significant evidence that is being withheld, and it involves an accessory

Appolly I am behind all, spread thin across the cases, catching up and I appreciate your patience.

NO, definitely not. First of all, those are some ghostbuster type folks, and there is a zero percent chance that David Bass would allow that- his farm is for sale for $12million.

Lastly, insulting to Morgan, imo. I am a very spiritual person and this is my opinion, but Morgan Harrington had enough going on in life that she is not lingering around the death nell. She is busy fulfilling her journey.

Don’t look at his physical appearance to think he could not do this alone. He looks to me to be 145 lbs or more. Many slender men have long muscle structures that allow them to move quickly and with plenty of strength. This guy has been a criminal most of his life. He has survived time in jail and prison.

If he was watching people at Food Lion, he was shopping for potential victims.

By checking the SIM module on the cell phones found, the FBI could determine if they belonged to any of the victims or were just “pay in advance” from one of the vendors such as Tracfone that he purchased from time to time.
The implication that this young woman was into drugs or “mary jane” if true, adds another dimension to the case. The type of people who live in the drug world most of the time are dangerous. Those that seek them out are putting themselves in danger.

  18. joerose says:

I hope they find Alexis safe and soon. I am so glad they arrested Taylor. I agree that he could abduct someone by himself. He is probably pretty strong and he could also have used a weapon.

Praying for Morgan, Alexis and their loved ones.

  19. Redly says:

Absolutely agree that he could be a strong guy. You dont have to weigh a lot to be strong and He has that look to me.

I am not sure how many of you smoked pot when young but Reefer Madness was not an accurate movie. I am sorry but it’s not realistic that you could lure a normal teen, whether she liked to smoke pot or not, by saying you had good weed. Its easier to get than beer for most people that age If she got lured somewhere it’s because there was another normal looking younger person involved. IMO I still think its more likely he snatched her somehow.

Agreed. Taylor screams ex-con with a dependency problem at best.

I am going to be honest though, I think this creep is way smarter than many are giving him credit for. Telling LE the alternative suspect is black and his DNA is on a beer can – and then ostensibly instructing his counsel to announce it publicly is not the work of a 20 year hack. With his arrest record, only ever doing 4 years is quite an accomplishment.

I have a few thoughts on a potential lure that are not ripe.

  20. Armchair Sleuth says:

I know this is probably a crazy stretch but I thought it might be worth mentioning. While trying to link the Morgan Harrington, Dashad Smith, and Alexis Murphy case together I realized that RAT’s attorney said Alexis was last seen with a 22 year old black male with corn rows. The last known contact Dashad “Sage” Smith had via cellphone was with Erik McFadden a 22 year old black male with corn rows living in Charlottesville, VA. LE have been unable to locate him since initially speaking with him. When looking at his facebook picture his facial hair and eyes seemed to have a striking resemblance to the composite sketch of the man linked to the Morgan Harrington case minus the corn rows. My gears are turning trying to find a connection or a pattern. I really have a gut feeling that RAT knows of this Erik McFadden character or is an accomplice. Maybe, RAT knew that a 22 year old black male was a suspect in another recent missing persons case in Charlottesville so he thought it would be a believable story. All factors are not out of the realm of possibility though…

For anyone not familiar, please read this Hook piece on Smith. Courteney Stuart did a masterful job on this piece, imo.

I have to agree with Redly that reefer quality would not interest most young women, but beer would. While I think that beer is the hardest to handle form of alcohol for women, they all seem to like it.

Never had any of the drugs that attract the youth of today. After watching the effects on the mind and body of those that did, I didn’t want any part of it.

That is a good article about the methods used to track dumpsters and landfill placement. The referenced case is a good example of someone who did not fit into the accepted norms of behavior. While he was probably non-intrusive to most, there are those who hold an opinion that he didn’t belong and would take steps to remove him. This is what I think happened. Could he have been placed in a dumpster? This is a very possible scene.

I have to agree with A TX Grandfather re: potential strength of RAT. He’s wiry and country strong in spite of his size; and, not sedentary.

I have a friend who weighs about 165 lbs and owns a farm. I have another friend who has an office job, but weighs 250 lbs and can bench press 450 lbs. The farm boy can put him on his back when they are wrestling around as all men do in their mid-40s (they grew up together is the only explanation that I have).

I also think that he’s very adept at working the system as Blink mentioned. The sad thing is, he likely had an Icehouse beer can in his trailer that was consumed by the last guy that he bought a bag from, who may be the same guy that he describes as Alexis’ “friend”; being around cars like he has, he can provide some details to make it seem esoteric and unique to his concocted incident with Alexis and “the dealer”, He knows the game very well and he knows the players on the fringe of society well enough to cover himself, divert blame, and mitigate his culpability.

  30. A Texas Gramdfather says:

You are correct about the 14 year old being capable of rape.

We had a black family that moved into our neighborhood in 1983. They had two boys aged 12 and 14. The oldest burgled three homes and raped two women in a neighborhood a mile away. He skipped school to do it.

He followed the second rape victim home from the grocery and overpowered her in her own driveway. The father and mother made enough money to afford a house worth $225,000, so he did not need to steal. That house would be twice that amount today and more if it were located in the NE.

Since he raped two women, he was tried as an adult and given life in prison. There are people in society that have problems behaving themselves from an early age.

We need to do a lot better job of teaching everyone how to recognize such people and to protect themselves.

  31. Jack says:

Any incriminating fingerprints or DNA found in her car?

Not released, but as I understand the statute, one can presume there is. It had to serve prob cause for the warrant for arrest and it’s seal. I unfortunately believe there is some basis to believe that Murphy is injured or worse.

Yes, I’m aware of people being “wiry”, and I’m sure RT is. Not to mention all you have to do is look at his eyes and it’s obvious of the coldness that this guy displays and that usually carries an excess of rage. Not to mention if he was a mechanic his hands are probably pretty strong. My point was Ms. Murphy is 5’7″ 156lbs and athletic therefore not your typical female in size; or maybe that is and I’m used to being around smaller females. I would think he would need help or would have to have a weapon to subdue her. Athleticism comes with strength and one would think she would/could put up a fight if it came to that.
There aren’t implications of Alexis being into “pot”, there are tweets and vids she posted of her talking about blunts and blazing while exhaling smoke. As a former pothead(and still an occasional par taker) the quality of “bud” to anyone who smokes regularly is a huge deal. Although, today is a lot different than it was 10+ years ago. Today kb or nugs(hydro) is the norm regardless of where you live in this country and the days of brick weed( seeds and stems; what peeps call 70 and 80′s weed) are pretty much over. Regardless I don’t see a 17 yr old who could get pot from someone she knows talking to a person like RT about getting him pot. To me it doesn’t add up,but I’ve been wrong before. There is no doubt that is what he was doing at the Food Lion and that is scary if that witness is telling the truth. You observation on the tracfone is pretty good. I wasn’t even thinking that way. I kind of had tunnel vision there and right away was thinking about victim’s cell phones and not the disposable ones good call..

  33. bp3 says:

**Blink- Did I hear this right
RT has a prelim set for 1/9/14, and has a bond hearing set for next week? Is that right? If that is the case with the bond hearing do you think there is any chance of him bonding out? Surely there is evidence that the public is not privy to, but if RT has alias like you stated that would be a disaster to let a guy like this bond out. P.S. yes I will chill with the language I wasn’t really thinking I was just typing away without censoring…Sorry

if I thought that all the Commonwealth had was a hair of Murphy in the camper when Taylor already admitted she was there, I would say there was “a chance.” he could bond out. I do not believe that for a second, and the warrants are under seal.

What is likely to come next is a State motion for a gag order, and a defense motion if it is granted to then have the judge review the State’s objection to bond in camera. It will still predispose the defendant to evidence it would not until a preliminary hearing, but not the public. On a side note- it is almost unheard of in these parts to have a court appointed defense atty make such statements to the press and I can tell you that the legal community is both chuckling and seething.

Long answer, but no, I do not believe he will bond out and once he does not, we may see some changes in his tune.

I think Randy Allen Taylor is both a sexual predator and something else (NOS).

Thanks for your remarks. This is exactly how we learn from one another. I don’t know about your description of the young woman. Muscle is denser than fat. Her height of 5’7″ and weight of 156 is twenty pounds over normal weight for that height.

Wiry people who work jobs such as farms, mechanics and construction are using muscle and skills every day. This keeps them strong. While the young woman being discussed was considered to be athletic, RAT probably would not have a hard time with her. The upper body strength of a woman compared to a man is only 56 per cent. He would also have the probable advantage of surprise in an attack.

  35. dda says:

I agree that there very likely will be a protective order granted in this case, if for no other reason than the case is in J&DR court and there is a minor who is missing and endangered. I have been wondering if Taylor was able to damage or disable Alexis’ car while at the gas station. It may be farfetched but I keep thinking about him parking at the pumps when he wasn’t getting gas. I drive an F250 with crew cab and it is very large—I never park at the pumps unless I am getting gas because it is even more of a pain than parking off to the side of a gas station. So, I am wondering if he parked near her and while she was in the store paying for her gas, did something to the car (like a rag in the tailpipe—opened the air on a tire) that would cause her car to break down shortly after leaving the gas station. Then he is right behind her to tell her to just pull off of 29 (which is not a road on that stretch that is safe on the shoulders) and if she did recognize him from around town, she might not have been so alarmed about just pulling off somewhere to make a phone call to get help but he got to her first. As I said maybe farfetched, but the abduction didn’t occur at the gas station but I think it had to have started there in some way.

Blink you say you know alias’ for rat, are there different birth dates as well that you may know about?

Yes. Does it bother anyone that nobody from this guy’s family has been interviewed?

I totally agree with B and Ode–RAT is a very clever and experienced criminal who knows what to say and not to say publically. It’s completely frustrating that someone who manages to look so aged, pathetic, and uneducated in his photos is actually strong, intelligent, and extremely violent. I agree that he USES the media, he knows to implicate an African American male such as either of the men in the Harrington or Smith cases and he apparently went to The Hook of his own free will to draw attention and sympathy to himself in the Samantha Clarke case. This weasel thrives on publicity. There’s a lot that points to typical serial killer behavior, isn’t there? That love of manipulating and deceiving others on a grand scale.

Does he HAVE a family? Was he a foster child? Someone lost in the system?

Sorry, my bad, clinical term- means non-specific

Okay, I know he’s not supposed to be connected to Morgan’s murder–but somehow I find it hard to believe. It seems so clear that he could have pot or other drug connections to a younger male accomplice who looks a bit more attractive and trustworthy…?

Do you mean that police havent even interviewed them? (Or are you speaking of media?)

    The media, specifically.

Have RAT’s family members just washed their hands of him or do you think they, the wife and child are frightened of him?
