Kyron Horman Missing: New Years Eve Settlement Ends Horman Marriage

Portland, OR- In a surprise court hearing,  Judge Henry Kantor signed off on the agreement between Kaine Horman and Terri Moulton Horman to end their marriage this afternoon.

Details of the agreement have not been released publicly, but according to KGW,  a financial settlement to include child support and a lump payment to Terri Horman has been reached.

In what can only be described as a bitter family court feud-  the divorce matter was last in court on December 16th to decide if the Horman landscaper,  Rodolfo Sanchez Estrada -who alleges Terri Horman tried to hire him to murder Kaine Horman at a lunch meeting – would testify.

Judge Kantor has not yet filed an order from that hearing but Attorneys for Terri Horman were granted a continuance from the pending temporary custody motion scheduled for December 19th and 20th.

It is really sad. I am on another forum where this is being discussed and the pitchforks are out. The media convicted Terri.

I spent a bit of time in the crater today. I spent a great deal of time “digesting” the responses. I very purposely did not moderate here ( I hope that is ok) because-bar none, this crew is the most critical thinking group discussing this case and has from the beginning. I do NOT want to influence dialogue.

Should have been predivorce & custody plan imo.

I figure Underhill needs 4 more terms to pay his

two decades as a DA. So this case problem is not
going away for him. (Many NWAcad’s college adms are very pricey)

As long has Underhill has an official personal election page up hosting over a hundred

Continuing to cover up for the mcso investigation & his prior

So you read this as an attempt to mitigate the investigation’s damages to her and remove the defense that woukd appeal to naive jurors that she never spoke out or tried to clear herself? Good thonking. Necessary step. In her shoes, I woukd’ve give that old WW reporter Pitkin a free lance interview & let him shop it to WE. However seeing her on TV is a pic worth many words. So glad it didn’t go to Kyle, Anna or Maxine. They’ve never pursued facts.

RE The first GJ, I was thinking that most all the people brought in at first (when the media was naming names) to be interviewed by the first GJ, were gym rats (Breide, etc), and close friends, but I forgot that Keefer went before the first GJ as well, so if it were solely for the MFH, there would have been no reason to bring in Keefer. So here’s a question, does one GJ ever get impaneled for 2 separate crimes? Or, was there NEVER anything brought before the GJ regarding a bogus MFH?

I don’t recall if RSE ever went before a GJ. ?

Kaine Horman, Kyron’s father, responded Wednesday morning calling the story tabloid journalism. He said the sheriff’s office and the FBI are standing by with interviews and polygraphs.

“We’ll stick with the scores of people with valid/accurate information and the failed polygraphs as the only actual actions taken to-date,” he said.

Brett Engel, Kaine Horman’s attorney, also released a statement.

“Kaine Horman is encouraged that Ms. Horman is now willing to make public statements about the events that occurred on June 4, 2010,” Engel said. “Mr. Horman hopes that Ms. Horman will now cooperate with law enforcement to provide additional information that might lead to the discovery of Kyron Horman.”

As an example, Ms. Spicher has been completely cleared by BOTH the MCSO and the DA in every way and Desiree and Kelly are fully aware of that through multiple sources to include her own Attorneys. (doubt me? ASK HER AND PUBLISH HER ANSWER) If you have a platform you feel can make a difference in locating Kyron, you need to be working with facts and I can promise you many of those are going to contradict the vitriol you serve up- that has done nothing but allow MCSO (at least) to obfuscate their own investigation and evade accountability for Kyron’s case. Who is willing to admit they got this wrong and demand the focus return to Kyron ? That should be an easy one since everything you say you do is for him?

as for public funds requests, she should thank Terri as she got only $55 last month.

I do not think Rudy’s personal vendetta to Terri suffices to explain his mfh elaboration to LE, altho an illegal status by which he must “cooperate” with LE would. And certainly if he were involved in the abduction. Kaine’s incuriosity aboutthe latter is a red flag.

I thought she was working toward this goal… Thanks to anyone who can give me a quick answer. I’m so happy that Terri agreed to finally go public, and am so happy that Blink will have an interview with her.

  31. Quizzical says:

Bravo to Terri for coming out publicly on the record. And, Blink I can hardly wait for your interview article.

In addition to furthering efforts to find Kyron and to point out MCSO and DA negligence, it feels likely going very public is part of Terri’s effort towards reunification with Ki. Ki is getting to an age of being able to sort things out in her mind instead of just taking in what is being feed her, whether by family, friends or schoolmates. (I have two granddaughters her age). This gives Ki a chance to see and/or hear about her mother’s side of this tragic story. Also Ki will be aware of Terri fighting back and fighting for her.

It is time for Terri to take a chance to get the rest of her life on track. If not now, when?

    Now.

  35. Rose says:

It is interesting both bios don’t discuss what mcso does have on an unknown male but what mcso feels they don’t have from Terri. That is self interest. The investigators’ behavior with bios goes back to Staton. imo throw the bum out.

Specifically, answers from the day Kyron disappeared back in June 2010 and why investigators found Kyron’s DNA in the back of Terri Horman’s vehicle.”

    http://www.kdrv.com/news/Kyron_Hormans_Stepmother_Speaks_Out_Mother_Responds.html

That poor woman absolutely breaks my heart. I would expect Kyrons DNA to be anyplace he was- that has zero evidentiary value and its comments like that where I wonder- what I have frequently said, how much is her opinion derived out of the fear of the alternative?

How did she NOT KNOW Terri’s hearing was a factor? I truly believe right now Desiree absolutely KNOWS there is no way if TH had any involvement she would be speaking out publicly in the first place.
    B

My short answer on why Kyron’s DNA might be in TH’s vehicle? Because Kyron LIVED WITH HER! Duh!

  39. Rose says:

@January. The answer as to why no inperson visitation tet is simple and was guaranteed from the time the Stip was signed: it was placed solely in the hands of an elderly lady highly idiosyncratic nut job imo. Any rational msw would have had her in supervised office-based weekly visits within a month imo. And there woukd’ve been overnights by now. My greatest concern in the absence of Terri in the mother role is the presence of KM and her daughters. jmo she is no role model at all and her daughter’s needs are unnecessarily burdensome on kiara & imo not in her best interests.

I don’t think in OR that holds wrt a felony crime against a child. I do think she has to be careful about what she says about Kaine (publicly) so as not to violate the standing protection order (or give the appearance of).

  41. Rose says:

I think Engel speaking wrt to Terri wrt to the mcso investigation should violate the Stip.
He’s not a criminal attorney advisor, which Kaine needs, anyway. Kaine wouldn’t pay

Agreed. Certainly very galled considering he lambasted her for taking the 5th, now she is “talking” very publicly, which most assuredly he knows can be used against her in any proceeding. I agree a family lawyer should really not be speaking on a criminal matter, I never see that.

you must be talking about SG’s ” Doxie Boy”. Does Kyle realize every time he says “A judge called her a person of interest” that he sounds like an idiot. He knows as well as anyone else “Person of interest” is an official police designation which has never been made by LE naming any of the people in the Kyron Horman case.
So when he says it you can tell he is just trying to sway public opinion not report the news in any way that represents the truth. He does not show enough ethics to be reporting the nightly news to the general public I wish KGW would can him. Maybe if it can be proven Terri is innocent they will.
