Kyron Horman Missing Case: Terri Horman Breaks Her Silence In People Magazine Interview

New York, NY-  For nearly five and a half years Terri Horman has refused to speak publicly about her step-sons case.  Outside of one assertion of her innocence while on the stand in a name change hearing she ultimately was denied, Horman did not speak to any reporters or answer any of their questions regarding Kyron Hormans disappearance. Until Now.

Horman courtesy of People

Horman was interviewed by People Magazines Elaine Aradillas for both the print and online editions,  and will be doing a series of personal interviews over the next week, to include wwww.blinkoncrime.com.

In the brief online video excerpt , the second part to air on ABC’s Good Morning America Friday morning,  Horman  maintains she is deaf in her left ear, a critical factor in the outcome of her first polygraph.

“… At what point are Kyron’s biological parents going to realize I don’t have the answers, they need to change this thing around…”

“…There is so much the public is not being told about this investigation, that’s why I am doing this- nobody is looking for Kyron…”

Horman’s interview drew sharp reactions from Kaine Horman and Desiree Young, Kyron’s parents.

“…Why is she silent for 5 1/2 years if she is innocent.  I want her to tell me where Kyron is.  If she is innocent she should call Multnomah County Sheriffs Office and sit down for an interview…”-  Desiree Young

“Hi friends. Yes I am well aware of the tabloid journalism piece in the media today. FYI – there will be more of the same coming Friday
We have a HOST of MCSO and FBI investigators STILL standing by with interviews and polygraphs when someone actually wants to cooperate. FEEL FREE TO STOP BY THEY ARE WAITING!! STILL!! Until then we’ll stick with the scores of people with valid/accurate information and the failed polygraphs as the only actual actions taken to-date.  To all of you: how about not linking the article/interview?
REMEMBER KYRON?!?!? This is what we need to be focused on!!
Love you Kyron!!” – Kaine Horman post on his Facebook Page

Christina Stoy, www.blinkoncrime.com Editor In Chief was able to confirm with Ms. Horman directly that she has been willing to meet with Kyron’s investigators both previously and in the future with the sole provision that it be conducted in the presence of her Attorney,  Portland criminal defense lawyer Stephen Houze.

Horman went on to say that investigators with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office have been well aware of “that” over the last five and a half years and they have never requested an interview.  Um, What?

Horman reveals some shocking details about the subsequent polygraphs examinations referenced by Kaine Horman and Desiree Young and other allegations of improper tactics on behalf of MCSO in the second half of her interview to air tomorrow morning on abc’s GMA and on Nightline.

Will her coming forward help solve Kyron’s disappearance…and why did she wait so long? I’m sorry she’s been targeted unfairly within this investigation, but Kyron is the true victim.

I pray this will refresh the investigation once and for all.

I pray similarly Ragdoll but I have seen many cases where investigative errors and fear of job loss, keeping pensions and the like play a major role in its lack of progress. LE MUST be willing to say – our theory is/was wrong start over. I even think many times well-intentioned investigators start out that way, but once they run into a colleagues work and they know it will be scrutinized ultimately by a criminal defense atty or defendant as WELL AS THE MEDIA, it gets in the way. I wish MCSO would turn this case over to the FBI.

Thank you for your response, B.

  4. Ode says:

I would think that a nano-second timeline of where Kyron was after his backpack and jacket were left in his room would be front and center of Desiree’s wanting to know things. Everyone is so focused on Terri’s timeline during that period of time. It really seems these people have made it about Terri and not Kyron. Desiree please address the man Kyron was last seen with. I don’t read the HC, WS or what ever except when something blows up. Why do none of these people question why Desiree does not focus on the man that Kyron was last seen with. Does Desiree think that there was no man last seen with Kyron? Terri or any of the people connected to this case could be responsible for what happened to Kyron and then again we may never have heard about who stole Kyron from his 4 parents, 3 siblings, grandparent and the community of Skyline. Headlines over and over and quoted repeatedly on the various forums like “Peoples”.. “Terri was the last person to see Kyron” She was not. These people think they can look at her picture and tell Terri is a liar etc..making disparaging comments on her looks just is so juvenile behavior. Get some class folks. Someone ask MCSO who was really was last seen with Kyron. Ask Kyle someone.

  5. A Texas Grandfather says:

I have to agree with Blink’s reply to Ragdoll.

Terri Horman is smart regarding speaking to the LE people in the presence of her attorney. If it were my choice, they would also be required to video the interview.

I am pleased to see that she is willing to speak with Blink about the case. The FBI could perhaps solve the case if they are willing to go back to square one and start over beginning at the school.

  6. Amys Sister says:

Hi Blink! MCSO could turn it over or the bio parents could initiate a public call for that to happen.

    AS!!
    Yes
The parents could request it, but public influence would not have any standing. In that scenario, MCSO would still have to agree.

  8. Amys Sister says:

In the interview Terri questions why she was not asked by the polygrapher if she killed Kyron. I am guessing because it is the belief of LE that Terri in some way initiated or arranged Kyron’s disappearance however neither LE nor Terri know if Kyron was murdered.

  9. Ragdoll says:

Hi ATG! …and yes, I agree. I didn’t mean to imply that she speak without counsel. I have a strange habit of telling friends and family, God forbid, if they’re asked to be questioned by LE….to have legal rep. You just never know, these days.

  10. Rose says:

What I gather is Blink has assurances of a future interview which, if Terri cooperates and can cope with its conduct (given her iq is, let’s face it, not DDS’) format, depth and detail, and process being hopefully similar to DDS’ should be a crowning moment to offer her past, future hopes, experience and pov.
She must let Blink dictate the terms; Blink is fair, and aware of self-incrimination minefields. not someone who sets a trap.

PS There is no shame in a-n-y-o-n-e admitting that they got things wrong, us, her, KH, LE, etc. and moving forward t-o-g-e-t-h-e-r to find Kyron. Be mindful, we all do have the same goal.

    O/T

New music tonight at community band practice. One piece was a medley from the 2005 Broadway Show “Jersey Boys”. As we played I thought of two people on this blog. Who are they?

That is brilliant advice. I have said this numerous times. The Universe plays a role here. I have experienced this personally in many cases, but most specifically in the ones I worked on directly- to resolution. In 3 cases that meant the recovery of a deceased but hidden victim, but as God is my witness there is an eerie sort of vibe that I have felt- palpable- when I knew “other forces” were leading my direction somewhat- even if that just meant keep going your on the right track. I mentioned Lou Smit recently- he and John Douglas are probably the two most intuitive investigators I have ever known and strongly agree with this. Some cases develop sort of a heartbeat, or vital signs for want of a better description, but I have only really seen this in cases where I am convinced that the loved ones driving the need for investigation are ready to accept the outcome regardless. I am at a loss to articulate what that means to a person with a missing loved one- compounded by a billion when it is a baby.

When my now Giant sized son was 7 years old he would look around the hall when I would pick him up from school, if nobody was watching he would sprint and jump into my arms, wrap his legs around and I would swing him in delight. In this work, you better believe I remind myself but for the Grace of God.. because if that example of a deeply loving memory brings a tear to my eye, I still get to kiss my boy and steal a sniff of his neck. ( I don’t know what it is with me and the way my kids smell, lol, I visited Miss Thing at school this am and when I kissed her goodbye I made her let me smell her head ( OMG MooooM WHAT IS YOUR DEAL WITH THAT!) As all of you/us with young children and not so young anymore that don’t have to wonder if they are even alive or worse- that is part of what drives advocacy. It just is.

It may sound absurd to some- but I will absolutely never begrudge a parent for clinging to hope in a way it is preserving their own life- as disjointed as it might be to say- find answers.

What I can say in my experience with cases where in the end- we were successful (as gauged by a body) there either has been, or occurs during an evolution of the ones that loved them most to prepare them for outcome. Conversely, and I will not disclose which one, I have seen folks white nuckle it, and it is patently clear ( although they believe and/or saying differently) they are not ready. My point- you can’t fool the Universe and our bodies and minds are designed to self-preserve. Fact.

I am one, who’s the other?

Every major national and local news outlet has dumped resources into the Kyron story—The Oregonian has seven reporters working the Kyron beat. But some of the best reporting has come from Elaine Aradillas, a 2004 Columbia Journalism School grad working for People magazine. Aradillas quoted Terri’s dad June 28 saying publicly for the first time that his daughter was at the center of the criminal investigation. Aradillas was the first reporter given access inside the Horman house, interviewing Kaine at his kitchen table. There were several aspects to Aradillas’ approach that set her apart. Instead of staying in downtown Portland hotels with other reporters, she bunked for a month in Hillsboro to be closer to places the Hormans worked, exercised and socialized in Washington County.

    ====================================================

I’m the daughter of a cranky old programmer who spent 40 years in that career. I did not inherit his skill (sigh). Dad would read the description of ILook, specifically that its funding dried up in 2008 and that its current release is its last, and he would glare at me over his coffee and say “The last edition was out of date before it was even released. Who’s the dork who thinks it’s okay to make people think they’re being spied on with it?”

LOL. Very similar conversation to one I had this morning with an electronics expert working on a case. His quote- if anyone is using iLook to surreptitiously examine e-data and live online accounts- they are going to find the subject “ilooking” back at them. So there’s that.

I watched GMA this morning, basically just an opener to tonight’s (actually tomorrow morning’s) Nightline episode. I can’t believe it doesn’t come on until 12:30 a.m. I know I won’t be able to stay up that late, so if someone can tape it and get it to youtube or something that would be great. Transcribing would be lovely. Heck this old lady doesn’t even stay up to watch the ball drop anymore!

Anywho, the anger she has toward LE is more than apparent in her voice. And I can’t blame her. She said something to the effect that *They told me they were going to make my life a living hell. And they did.*

As ya’ll know, I’m not here to support Terri. I’m here to find out what happened to a little boy and how a school allowed him to be abducted and has yet to be taken to task over that action, or *inaction*. As far as TMH is concerned, I still have no idea whether or not she had anything to do with Kyron’s disappearance. That being said, I lean more and more every day to believing she didn’t have anything to do with it. The latest BS on that turning tide page just affirms my suspicions that LE has NOTHING. Why else would they bother to do such trivial crap, if true.

The second reason I am here, is whether or not she did or didn’t have anything to do with this child’s disappearance, she has been treated unfairly according to our laws. She has never been indicted, let alone convicted of any crime, and yet she has been stripped of virtually everything she held dear, including her little girl. This angers me beyond belief. And it angers me that this little girl was used as a pawn in this investigation and divorce proceedings, and then deprived of her mothers love. (No talky, no k) I want this to end. I wish they’d just arrest her and get on with it. Breaks my heart for all the victims here.

Thirdly, the media………the media should be ashamed of themselves for being used. Over and over.

Like erose said, it’s time to come together and look for truthful answers, I hope Terri speaking out somehow makes that happen. Though as Blink points out, there is much conflict of interest in finding out the truth now, because of decisions made along the way. I fear no one wants to know the truth. Scary.

Hope to get the People issue sometime today.

Ok- so who really believes this women dumb enough to make that statement if it could not be substantiated? So is that what DY meant at one time by saying there were multiple mfh plots? Hey y’all- anyone using a lawn service? May want to pack a bag. One reason I’m asking is the Rojo Ardilla, indicates to me that TMH more than likely had at least some knowledge of the Spanish language. She often referred to her and some friends as “chicas” as well. So I’m guessing she did speak at least some Spanish.

I had never seen this list before, but who uses an email handle “lewd conduct”? This list seems not to be in calendar order. If these are accurate addresses she used, it would be interesting to know why the change from “lewd conduct” back to “red squirrel” after the Horman’s moved to Sheltered Nook. Is it possible they moved because Terri and/or Kaine were trying to leave something behind them when they moved out to the far more isolated Sheltered Nook location? Is it possible at least one of them was running from something/someone way back then? Something that was going on when they lived in Aloha? Was the vampire let in well before Kyron went missing?

Sorry if I’m behind times here. I hope someone can verifying if these are accurate email addys.

Goodness. Lil kitty is the spitting image of her mother. This new look on Terri is going to help her daughter connect with her by simply looking in the mirror.

I’m sure someone else has provided the links, but just in case, here’s the GMA video, as well as the KATU local station’s link:

I once had a face-to-face discussion with Kyron case investigator Herron about Terri’s cooperating with the investigation. He flat out told me that “She hasn’t come in to talk to us since hiring Mr Houze.” I asked point blank, “Have you asked her to come in for an interview?” He said that they have NOT! That she needs to come to them. READ THAT AGAIN! It is MCSO’s stance that Terri Horman isn’t cooperating because she hasn’t sashayed into the station to spill her guts. (And after what they have done to her, can you blame her one iota?)

Investigators have NEVER asked Terri Horman to talk to them since she hired her attorney. She is willing to speak to them, with her attorney present, and they have declined to invite her to talk. For YEARS.

THEY are the hitch in the get-along. No question about it.

OK TKG: You outed yourself voluntarily so I respectfully have to disclose I am aware of the exchange with MCSO and how it came about. I feel like explaining same requires a summary and not specifics because they identify you or family and I will not allow that here. Do you trust me to provide that or do you prefer we work with your comment at face value and I moderate accordingly?

When cd repeated that post, my attention was again snagged by a phrase:
“The FBI’s CART team just received a new GUI-based program that’s called iLook. ….”
I finally wondered what is this investigatory animal CART, siccing irs software on unwary nameless strangers they deem “suspicious” due to online opinions in the Horman abduction? All this time I have been reading “fbi cart team” as something important, experienced in abductions investigations, actually composed of fbi professionals. Wrong.

    https://www.ncjtc.org/AmberAlert/Courses/AMBER%20Alert%20Courses%20%20Example%20Agendas/CART_Description.pdf
makes it clear fbi cart is an outreach of the Amber Alert program which advertises and seeks in locales a group of self-appointed volunteers willing to complete 3 day training and includes a diverse group of “laity.” Any Joe/Josephine Blow can call themselves a vic advocate. Our own 2 Staceys coukd take the training & join a team. I am decidedly unimpressed with the use of a local Amber Alert CART team as a primary investigative unit in a stranger abduction like Kyron’s. Much less that volunteers with personal agendas can sic such software (appropriate for money laundering) on say DDS and her social system, or Blink.

    Oh snap.
In a case where no Amber alert was issued.

The irony of Elaine Aradillas being the reporter to give Terri her voice, eh? Kaine gave this same reporter his voice just minutes before he snatched their daughter from Terri. And his recent twitter calls People Magazine a ‘tabloid’….

Hypocrisy. He used her when he needed the dirty lies put out, so he is mad that Terri has reached out to that reporter to give her a loud and strong voice. IMO

Kaine has been conspicuously silent today. That smells like advice to me.

tne reason I’m asking is the Rojo Ardilla, indicates to me that TMH more than likely had at least some knowledge of the Spanish language. She often referred to her and some friends as “chicas” as well. So I’m guessing she did speak at least some Spanish.

There is my answer..Ardilla is Squirrel in Spanish. I was totally thinking Ardilla as in the reporter “Ardillas”. What a co-inky-dink.

thanks, erose. my CART-related followup post video viewing:
just as Desiree claims Terri betrayed Kyron and so he is not her son,
listening to her this week and learning more about the investigators, I feel the same shoe is on her foot, and not only that, she is the only person with power to right the investigation. Sympathy, empathy cannot excuse she has chosen to be a roadblock not a roadmap to investigating professionally the events of 6/4/1.

    Who are the investigators?
Det RA at age 30 or so just got hired 1.5 yrs before the disappearance. Darn tootin he was motivated to make this case a notch on his belt, but he was & is untrained & unseasoned in this type case. Recent images show he looks a wee bit older with a beard, but imo his beefsteak arms & thick neck tell me he has some gym experience.
Now that I’ve learned about CART, I suspect Ret’d FBI man probably never worked a child abduction case until he took those 3.5 days of Amber Alert training. Drugs, money laundering, terrorism, who knows?

This case belongs at Quantico period.

As long as Desiree and her surrogates are cheerleader and apologist for the MCSO team because she is convinced they will convict Terri on circumstantial evidence, I find everything she says without credibility and similar to the “betrayal” she accuses Terri of.

  46. Rose says:

@TRuth. Only two sources had custody and control of her computer to id her email addys. Kaine and mcso. Since mcso can’t publically disseminate that “evidence,” that leaves….. who has a history of altering texts and sources doesn’t he?

  47. Rose says:

My impression of GMA: clips were far too short, but well-selected and fairly edited.
The segment was fair to all, particularly Desiree who was allowed to proclaim Terri guilty without
evidence backup. It was Terri’s interview, so not appropriate to ask Desiree questions. Terri presented as a believeable, sympathetic person, and mcso as typical small-town rural bully unprofessional types and Kaine as an opportunist. Terri came off better than my preexisting opinion as a dumb, lascivious, scatterbrained type.

  48. Rose says:

wrt “- it’s just the sheer f*cking hubris of some domestically challenged MCSO “detective” who has NEVER WORKED a mp case in his life before this, to use a false allegation to tear apart a family is beyond my comprehension.”

Blink, that family was not torn apart due to mcso use of a manufactured mfh.
That family was torn apart by Kaine. Period. Let’s keep his accountability front & center.
He wanted kiara. He wanted sole custody. He wanted the house, the assets. And he directed himself
toward that goal in a laser-focused manner. He dished interview upon interview to turn the public, judges, and potential jurors against Terri, and still is.
    —–
Hey folks, at any time Kaine could say Kiara needs to know her mother, let’s go meet up in B Bell’s Office and take it from there. At any time he could sign a new Stip with a visitation scheme like Desiree’s at best (he’ll never yield more).
Bell was chosen because she is incompetent in my opinion (based on reading online reviews & Court cases) & will never ever yield a single inperson visit to mother imo. Terri will have to return to Court and ask she be removed and that OR Mult Cty govt Child Welfare services be responsibke for “reunification.” They do it all the time out of foster care to parents.

I cant disagree with that overall, but I say that mainly because I know he feared the roid prosecution more than he believed his wife tried to off him and either way- comes back to choices he made. That and what sort of conscious-less effer decides the loss of a brother is best met with the loss of her Mother? That says way more about Kaine Horman to me than anything.

The sound of everyone in the neighborhood testing their snowblowers is irritating the chit out of me. I had Mr out there Wednesday night, LOL
