Kyron Horman Missing Case: Terri Horman Breaks Her Silence In People Magazine Interview

New York, NY-  For nearly five and a half years Terri Horman has refused to speak publicly about her step-sons case.  Outside of one assertion of her innocence while on the stand in a name change hearing she ultimately was denied, Horman did not speak to any reporters or answer any of their questions regarding Kyron Hormans disappearance. Until Now.

Horman courtesy of People

Horman was interviewed by People Magazines Elaine Aradillas for both the print and online editions,  and will be doing a series of personal interviews over the next week, to include wwww.blinkoncrime.com.

In the brief online video excerpt , the second part to air on ABC’s Good Morning America Friday morning,  Horman  maintains she is deaf in her left ear, a critical factor in the outcome of her first polygraph.

“… At what point are Kyron’s biological parents going to realize I don’t have the answers, they need to change this thing around…”

“…There is so much the public is not being told about this investigation, that’s why I am doing this- nobody is looking for Kyron…”

Horman’s interview drew sharp reactions from Kaine Horman and Desiree Young, Kyron’s parents.

“…Why is she silent for 5 1/2 years if she is innocent.  I want her to tell me where Kyron is.  If she is innocent she should call Multnomah County Sheriffs Office and sit down for an interview…”-  Desiree Young

“Hi friends. Yes I am well aware of the tabloid journalism piece in the media today. FYI – there will be more of the same coming Friday
We have a HOST of MCSO and FBI investigators STILL standing by with interviews and polygraphs when someone actually wants to cooperate. FEEL FREE TO STOP BY THEY ARE WAITING!! STILL!! Until then we’ll stick with the scores of people with valid/accurate information and the failed polygraphs as the only actual actions taken to-date.  To all of you: how about not linking the article/interview?
REMEMBER KYRON?!?!? This is what we need to be focused on!!
Love you Kyron!!” – Kaine Horman post on his Facebook Page

Christina Stoy, www.blinkoncrime.com Editor In Chief was able to confirm with Ms. Horman directly that she has been willing to meet with Kyron’s investigators both previously and in the future with the sole provision that it be conducted in the presence of her Attorney,  Portland criminal defense lawyer Stephen Houze.

Horman went on to say that investigators with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office have been well aware of “that” over the last five and a half years and they have never requested an interview.  Um, What?

Horman reveals some shocking details about the subsequent polygraphs examinations referenced by Kaine Horman and Desiree Young and other allegations of improper tactics on behalf of MCSO in the second half of her interview to air tomorrow morning on abc’s GMA and on Nightline.

What is amazing is Staton, Ott, Moore and Gates keepon violating the very same Federal laws with tge very same person again and again (2002-3 and one suit settled in 2005, 2012, 2014)
despite notice and awareness of how they could avoid violating these laws.

That is exactly like the Horman violation where the same mcso actors keep doing
the same thing (persuing Terri) long after the futility to find Kyron was crystal clear.
Kaine might consider consulting Riddell about pulling boilerplate out. Dare I hope he is Terri’s

How does Ott have a job as head of HR still? I mean, she might as well just have testified- “Whatevs, I do what I waaant”

@Blink. Do you know what became of Desiree’s boyfriend from her postKaine period when she was apparently hospitalized near Canada and reportedly had kidney problems? Just

How did he get elected? First time, like Trump, a media creation (see Bernstein’s prose).
Second time, Blink said it best: operating mcso similar to a cartel drug gang with OT, promotions,

    @Rose –
I think I know, but to be sure – were you referring to Cogen or Staton using marijuana?
Either way, made me wonder if Staton used medical marijuana for pain. Same question re DY at any point. Given all that’s been said about Staton’s personality lately, I can imagine if he were leading an investigation based on his “gut feelings” and he met DY and TH, which of the two he would feel was truthful, lying, accurate, guilty, believable, attractive, worthy of his support, disabled – JMO, of course. However, also given the lack of training and experience the Sheriff and his MCSO had for doing and maintaining this kind of investigation, it seems one must look at what personal factors might influence those “gut feelings”, with or without evidence to the contrary (or financial incentives for OT, etc.).

@Blink – I have tried to word this as carefully as possible – it is my own opinion based on the facts as I understand them – but if you think it’s too direct to post, feel free to edit.

Wrt Staton, a question is what did the meth lab exposure
do to his frontal lobes and executive finctioning skiils, if anything. That is a medical question
his family should help him solve privately.

  19. Rose says:

@mbs. Terri said in her recent interview she got rather backtalky with those muktiple hours multiple interrogators who kept insisting she was lying when she wasn’t. Not the Sheriff & his “boy tribe’s” MO to like that. I’d love to know if a DA investigator employee was involved in the interrogations. Those retired PPB detectives who Shrunk used to hire.

OT, sort of… I’m in a group where one of the gals is a spec ed teacher. When she related this story, I thought of Kyron… And who far, how fast, he could have gone in those 6 lost hours on June 4, 2010.

Amy in Orange Park FL said:
“Today I had the worst experience working in my life! I had one of the autistic boys take off I thought he went into the classroom I got in the classroom and nope he wasn’t so myself and 2 assistants bolted out of the classroom and through the fence that was open(it’s suppose to be closed and locked during school day) over the course of 40 minutes my Fitbit fracked over 5000 steps, I was all over the campus worried out of my mind. Finally the call came that the Sheriff picked him up. He had run over 2 miles away.”

  33. thatkewlgirl says:

^^ how far, not who far…

  34. thatkewlgirl says:

OT – Read the comments in this article. Sad. I wonder what the internal investigation was about and why he lost his job. Apparently, those who knew him have only good things to say (unlike Staton).

Former Florence Oregon Police Sergeant, Shawn Morgan, shoots self in storage unit in Eugene. He’d been fired in October after an internal investigation.

with his team doing outreach, whatever that is.

    Rod Edwards, mcso, resurfaces.
    http://www.wweek.com/2016/02/29/oregon-state-fraternal-order-of-police-issues-statement-on-sheriff-dan-staton/
The beneficiary of a suit as a result of several violations, I see he is still a Sgt.
Staton must have deemed the Statewide President of this police group too disloyal for
suing mcso over violations. The chickens come home to roost.
Still awaiting Jacquiss’ story on how the Horman investigation
squandered County assets before April when next year’s budget is due.

Heavens to Betsy this rotisserie just got hotter. Edwards was the recipient of at least 2 of those payouts so he was right to “recuse” as if one can do so as the President of the author. You are kidding me he is on FMLA now. I don’t wish to be insensitive to anyone’s health but is it possible he is setting up the distress from mutiny claim? Oy. So who is running the ship here? Isn’t there some sort of necessary “acting Sheriff” announcement? Just as an aside- while reading the audits on Sheriff salary and the like- I did notice there is no provision for “undersheriff” and technically nobody under Staton is supposed to make more than him. I guess the audit did not consider the OT provisions because the sheriff himself is not subject to earning it.
    B

  37. Rose says:

OT that VP of the Oregon FOP, Sergei, who signed the letter about scrutinizing Staton
hails from Jackson County home of Medford PD, and apparently dominated by an allegedly Boss Hogg Sheriff who
politically used Ellen’s DOJ to open a spurious criminal investigation to ensure his reelection.
    http://m.dailykos.com/story/2014/4/18/1289882/-Dirty-Politics-Southern-Oregon-Style

  38. Rose says:

Apparently in oregon one can use unpaid Family Leave for3 months for
one’s own health condition, or immediate family members, or as of last Fall, adoption.
    https://multco.us/benefits/family-medical-leave-acts

  39. Rose says:

OT apparently in that election, Boss Hogg had to pull out and
the voter brought in someone new with paper credentials. So
    it’s possible.

  40. Rose says:

The most reasonable inference is he is using family leave to treat his own health, which was apparently bad last fall (foot), although because Alexander is speaking for him, and he makes no statements, and gives no end date to return to work, it could also be some type of inpatient hispitalization. Interesting Ritchie waited to kick when he’s down rather than last Sept-Jan when tge was still working in that allegedly hostile work environment when anyone else would’ve handled it. Imo his case is a stretch.

Who’s running it indeed? His Exec Asst is gone, his head of Business Captn on leave.
That leaves Smith, Shults, Riser, Gates, Wall. Aren’t Desiree and Kaine worried about “the investigation” yet?

  43. T. Ruth says:

“The message is clear: Skipper was his mentor — but Staton’s the new sheriff in town.

Staton says he’s serious about cleaning up the office, making it more efficient, and that loyalty to the agency trumps loyalty to individuals.

One of his first actions was to eliminate the undersheriff’s position, and he’ll likely cut the chief of staff job. (Christine Kirk, chief of staff under former sheriffs Bernie Giusto and Skipper, found a new job as Staton was considering axing her position.) ”

    (snipped)
    http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2009/11/sheriffs_story_one_of_survival.html

Moore is def undersheriff, as I previously posted, he is NOT on current roster and in an audit his position is unrecognized as “actual”.
Very Interesting. I will take 200 Alex- lets take next person to name a party in a suit for MCSO.
    B

When he first took office, it was always Staton’s intention to eliminate the Undersheriff Position, so when was it actually done? There’s a pdf document floating out there that indicates the position was eliminated in April 2009, but IIRC, Tim Moore was listed as undersheriff when Kyron went missing, now his position is listed as Enforcement Department Chief Deputy, and the word undersheriff is non-existant:

    http://www.mcso.us/profiles/

When did Staton actually reorganize the roster? 2014/15? Or is Tim Moore actually still considered undersheriff, but just called Chief Deputy of Enforcement?
