Kyron Horman Missing Case: Terri Horman Breaks Her Silence In People Magazine Interview

New York, NY-  For nearly five and a half years Terri Horman has refused to speak publicly about her step-sons case.  Outside of one assertion of her innocence while on the stand in a name change hearing she ultimately was denied, Horman did not speak to any reporters or answer any of their questions regarding Kyron Hormans disappearance. Until Now.

Horman courtesy of People

Horman was interviewed by People Magazines Elaine Aradillas for both the print and online editions,  and will be doing a series of personal interviews over the next week, to include wwww.blinkoncrime.com.

In the brief online video excerpt , the second part to air on ABC’s Good Morning America Friday morning,  Horman  maintains she is deaf in her left ear, a critical factor in the outcome of her first polygraph.

“… At what point are Kyron’s biological parents going to realize I don’t have the answers, they need to change this thing around…”

“…There is so much the public is not being told about this investigation, that’s why I am doing this- nobody is looking for Kyron…”

Horman’s interview drew sharp reactions from Kaine Horman and Desiree Young, Kyron’s parents.

“…Why is she silent for 5 1/2 years if she is innocent.  I want her to tell me where Kyron is.  If she is innocent she should call Multnomah County Sheriffs Office and sit down for an interview…”-  Desiree Young

“Hi friends. Yes I am well aware of the tabloid journalism piece in the media today. FYI – there will be more of the same coming Friday
We have a HOST of MCSO and FBI investigators STILL standing by with interviews and polygraphs when someone actually wants to cooperate. FEEL FREE TO STOP BY THEY ARE WAITING!! STILL!! Until then we’ll stick with the scores of people with valid/accurate information and the failed polygraphs as the only actual actions taken to-date.  To all of you: how about not linking the article/interview?
REMEMBER KYRON?!?!? This is what we need to be focused on!!
Love you Kyron!!” – Kaine Horman post on his Facebook Page

Christina Stoy, www.blinkoncrime.com Editor In Chief was able to confirm with Ms. Horman directly that she has been willing to meet with Kyron’s investigators both previously and in the future with the sole provision that it be conducted in the presence of her Attorney,  Portland criminal defense lawyer Stephen Houze.

Horman went on to say that investigators with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office have been well aware of “that” over the last five and a half years and they have never requested an interview.  Um, What?

Horman reveals some shocking details about the subsequent polygraphs examinations referenced by Kaine Horman and Desiree Young and other allegations of improper tactics on behalf of MCSO in the second half of her interview to air tomorrow morning on abc’s GMA and on Nightline.

This is hilarious (said with irony):
“Kaine Horman had been advised to remove the couples 18 month old daughter in advance, for their safety, earlier in the day.

Upon deputies arrival, as informed by Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office about the sting, detectives were forced to tell Terri Horman she was a suspect.”

So after Monte Reiser, Investigation detectives Captn wrested daily site “Command” away from Jason Gates after a couple weeks or so, his rank underling over Patrol and thus SAR, Reiser’s big coup was designing and authorizing this gambit?
No wonder Gates is now Chief Deputy over Enforcement (thus Investigations) while Reiser is now his underling busted back to Patrol and no longer handling Investigations detectives. And these are the people the bios keep praising?

Thanks to all who have dug back into the early days of the crime via posts on this site. Most of what is being reviewed tells us that the drug connection in Portland and Multnomah county is the prime reason that Terri was attacked by LE and DA. It may have a direct connection to the disappearance of Kyron.

If Kaine Horman was given a heads up to take Kyira and himself off the property while LE worked a sting that failed, it outs LE as the prime mover of the attacks against Terri. The scanner listener confirms the set up.

What we have is corrupt District Attorney’s office, MCSO leadership, family courts with judges who know nothing about administration of family law and no one willing in the community to put a stop to these criminals by organizing to find the truth.

If that KATU report is accurate (remember they were the ones who reported Kyron’s body had been found, sigh) and TMH called 911 “before” RSE arrived, I’d like to know who she was calling about. If the first 911 call was made simply because she saw RSE pull up to her home, why would she call 911 before he ever got out of the vehicle with the DEA dude demanding dinero? IIRC, there was one report that stated there were three calls made to 911 that day, was there? Anyway, I’m sure Blink will be getting to this stuff, I’m just getting anxious.

Acquiring accurate information could only advance this case. I believe it will make people think and hopefully discuss this child’s disappearance which could just possibly help find Kyron. Too bad LE doesn’t see it that way. I understand the need for LE to hold some details back in these situations, but I don’t understand LE not releasing Kyron’s timeline that morning, UNLESS his whereabouts that morning are being disputed between witnesses. (One person says he was with him at x o’clock and another says he was in a different location with him at the same time.) In which case the child’s timeline couldn’t be accurately stated, because either one of these witnesses is purposely not telling the truth, or is simply mistaken and it wasn’t Kyron at x location at all. But since there were so many people there, it seems hard-pressed that only one witness would have seen him at any single location at any given time that morning, doesn’t it?
    *********
Yes, I too hope Malty well and is just stuck in politics mode.

    *********

I saw this the other day when I was out perusing the case and had never come across this information (whether true or not) first time I’ve seen this from anyone. (Consider the source.):

Eventually, Terri hired an attorney, whose refrain is that “Ms. Horman was not the last person to be seen with Kyron.” This is in direct contradiction to the testimony offered by two eyewitnesses who were in the bus run, and saw Terri leave the school, WITH her infant daughter, Kiara, and Kyron.

    ************
What exactly is a bus run? Do they mean where the buses parked and unloaded. Would that mean eyewitnesses who were being dropped off at the school? I don’t recall the time the buses unloaded at the school. Was it 8:35? Doesn’t this contradict the location of the parking lot LE was interested in? Doesn’t this also contradict the location DY was pointing to back in whatever interview she gave on the school steps?

Is this the time where TMH says she and the kids walked back to the truck to get the backpack, etc.? Because otherwise, it would seem to me if there are two eyewitnesses saying the same thing, TMH would be in jail.

Anywho, never heard that before. Something new to discuss, while we’re in waiting. But it does make KH thanking the bus driverS in his first public speech make sense.

In regard to whether or not the FBI is still involved, unless this is a lie by Mr. Horman, it says they still are. So why are we questioning whether or not they are? What’s interesting to me in reading this, is I’ve never heard (not that I can recall anyway) DY mentioning FBI’s involvement.

So KH has contact with both MCSO & FBI, but DY only gets contact from MCSO? Curious.

The FBI has no active role in this case. They have assisted previously as we all know, but their is no current FBI asset assigned to this case. I know why Kaine said that if he in fact did ( which I strongly doubt he did) but he/they spoke improperly.

    http://kboi2.com/news/local/family-members-respond-to-questions-about-kyron-11-16-2015

Was there ever any retraction from this report? It was also reported on KATU, or they shared the same story, but the page is gone now. Either the reporting on this case is fishy or someone was playing games and feeding the media fish. The above report is saying a different landscaper went to the police “in 2009″ and reported Terri had tried to hire him to off Kaine.

So is the unidentified man at the school a cop? Was he following TMH?

Let’s see, KATU reported Kyron’s body had been found (which was quickly retracted); KATU reported there was a second landscaper TMH tried to hire to off Kaine; KATU reported that a 911 call was made BEFORE RSE arrived at her home on the 26th; KATU is also the one that provided and reported the screen shots of Terri’s emails. Was it KATU who originally refused to give video to LE very early on when LE asked for all videos taken by reporters the day of and day after Kyron went missing?

Can all these things be simple errors, when they are saying “police have confirmed”? This case makes me crazy.

@TRuth. that refers to bus drivers dropping kids, likely between 8:25-8:40 (first bell.)
Iirc in one of his statements, Kaine thanked some bus drivers. Probably as TH parked on the road, drivers passed tge threesome most likely entering to drop their liad rather than leaving, timing wise. I bet the bus barn direction was So on Skyline anyway. So these woukd’ve been drivers delivering from the north, based on where she parked. Trouble is, the 3some did not leave then, as the bus driver witness’ testimony persuaded MCSO. Blink said they returned to the truck for something kyron failed to take in, and after these “witness” drove by, they reentered the school.
You know TRuth, mcso is so flawed at timelines and at unbiased focused interviews, I truly bet they themselves know they lack a credible timeline of kyron that morning.

  30. Rose says:

Blink, I think you’d better forgeddabout OR DOJ investigators bring new vision to kyron.
likely as misogenistic as mcso wrt abductor fixation on a stepmom
and determining entrapment is the best way to proceed.

  31. Rose says:

@Malty wrt “O/T. This is one crazy election”
The Electoral process as devised by each State’s Part(ies) is not crazy despite one candidate badmouthing State parties’ processes to the world. It’s the majority of the candidates who are certifiable on both sides. imo this comes from the dumbing down of quality in Congress and many governirships, the feeder schools.

  32. Rose says:

Blink one thing I don’t recall you asking DDS about is her relationship with, and actual speech with, what appears to be an episodically manic cousin (right now on a jag she not only took K but is the only person to know his whereabouts). many of us have crazy if not dangerous cousins. But we know who & what they are. Did she really chitchat with her cousin about kyron knowing him to be a problem person?

I spoke with her at length on the isue. I have a long standing policy to not publicly discuss what I might term “compromised” individuals. Ms. Spicher agreed.
    B

  33. Rose says:

So bus drivers returning to their barn makes me think the most likely egress for Abductor was also South–not driving to sparser Northern areas that have been search targets.

  34. Rose says:

@ATG. Imo there is no possibility one of the 2 fulltime ADAs assigned to the case (per Schrunk’s report on the budget to the CCs), and one was Moawad, was not briefed on the Sting plan in advance and signed off on its legality.
The Sting would be heavily litigated at a mfh trial and would produce the only key element essential to convict (a concrete act in furtherance of the mfh.)

After MCSO’s dir of the investigation division Reiser took RSE’s statements about the mfh to his ADA liason, one of those ADAs must have explained to him and whoever (O’Donnell?) that no charge could be filed without a Sting producing such an act. Therefore whoever explained the legal elements needed to charge and the necessity of a payment of something of value to RSE was the prime mover and most culpable for the sting. imo It is most likely that the fulltime kyron ADA is the one who left the DA’s Office and litigation to be a public safety policy advisor in a political appointment. MCSO’s sting experience was mostly unlicensed movers and jaywalkers in 2010. Later they participated in gun and drug ops run by others. Local FBI sting experience seems to have been a muslim teen and drug operations.

  35. Rose says:

if one googles portland or first student central bus barn, one sees 2 area barns, central and one southerly towards lake oswego. Whether Skyline buses turned left after dropoff & went south to cross at 405 (ie, sensible for a west sylvan bus) and would have no opportunity to see the white truck never left as they thought it had with the 3some, or went north to Cornelius Pass & crossed at 30B is unknown to us, but South seems most likely a driver/bus supervisor preference. After Every bus dropoff I have seen, even in dense residential areas, drivers put the pedal to the metal and go away as fast as possible.

OT I am in kinda shock malty now myself on this election. I just heard someone tell kids to pinch parents, loosely. Turning to phone tv to see whether the debate had started (all I watch if I do that) I just stumbled onto one party’s town hall. there was the one with a whiney aspect, and the sentence I heard him say was “They ought to turn around and punch their parents in the mouth.” How can anyone say that in the hearing of America’s politically-enthusiatic teenagers? I turn these moral marginals OFF. Whether I will see one more debate is up in the air, as their policies, competencies, and caricatures are clear. In TP’s interview, he never said what time he saw Kyron did he? Was there someone who was interviewed by the media who said they saw Kyron AFTER 8:45? TK never mentioned a time either, and said he was asked by LE not to say. Kim Holm’s interview is the only one I can think of that mentioned a time, but she was merely saying what she thought her son had told her, and she said 9ish.

Was there another witness interviewed who claimed they saw Kyron after 8:45? What date was it when LE back-peddled on the later in the morning sighting? Was it after this 7/15 request ore before?

  45. T. Ruth says:

Tanner Pumala, Kyron’s classmate, said he last saw his friend at about the same time when Kyron told him he was headed to look at another student’s science project.
“He walked by the hallway and I’m like, ‘Hi, Kyron,’ and he’s like, ‘Hi. I’m going to go see this cool one. It’s electric.’ I’m like, ‘Alright, bye.’ And that’s the last time I saw him,” Tanner said. “He never did make it back to class.”

    http://www.kptv.com/story/14789387/classmate-i-hope-my-best-friend-comes-back-6-09-2010?clienttype=printable

TP said it was about the same time, 8:45. So they weren’t looking for his video. Holm’s is the only one I recall that mentioned anything later, but that was so vague, it makes me wonder if I missed someone else who mentioned later that morning, after 8:45.

  46. T. Ruth says:

The sheriff’s office already has conducted interviews twice — and in some cases four times — with parents, students, school officials and others since Kyron disappeared almost six weeks ago. But some of those interviewed have given different stories to TV crews, he said, and the sheriff’s office wants to follow up on any information that may have been missed.

They’d already changed the last seen to 8:45 by now. So who said they saw Kyron later in an interview?

Child pornography charges against a Portland city employee have been dropped, according to court records.

Zachary Thomas Rouse, tennis director for Portland Parks & Recreation, has instead been charged with a single count of online sexual corruption of a minor.

Rouse has been with Portland Parks and Recreation since September 2014, according to his LinkedIn profile. He previously worked at Umpqua Tennis Center in Roseburg and at a tennis center in Texas.

@mbs. apparently there is a “central bus barn.” the
    Q is where? http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2009/09/portland_district_investigates.html
Sadly PPS has contracted out busing. Imo that’s an abdication of responsibility
and liability, and a faux money saver.

    @Rose – my recollection re buses –
When the money for schools in the state started to dry up due to efforts to get away from property taxes (we have no sales tax), districts cut where they could. Rather than buy replacement buses and spend on maintenance, PPS started contracting for transportation services, but as I recall, it wasn’t all changed at once.

There used to be a bus parking area next to the main administration building at the east end of the Broadway Bridge, not sure where others were. Once they contracted out for services, they didn’t need to worry about the space for buses, the hiring, etc. They still had the transportation department to figure out what size buses were needed where and in what order. I do remember that dealing with a change in somebody’s IEP services which required a bus time or route change was like trying to get a rocket ship sent to Mars. Sometimes we had to settle for taxi’s temporarily.

Very few buses seem to go pick up kids for one school and go “home” until time to pick them up again. They were booked for more than one school by staggering the start and release times. They would drop kids off and head to another school for a field trip or sports event, etc. We had middle school kids who came to our high school to take high school geometry by being bused back and forth between schools every day during a particular period, for example. We had magnet buses that went to other high schools and picked up kids for a half day of dance or jazz orchestra.

My personal opinion about the PPS benefit of contracting for bus transportation was not only financial, but not having to deal with certain issues they didn’t have a clue how to handle. When we had gangs starting up in North Portland in the late 90’s, a lot of shooting started – at first they didn’t hit much, but they would shoot at people, cars, windows, up in the air, whatever. They didn’t have automatic weapons and they were terrible shots. It was very frustrating and it was a definite deterrent to parents wanting to let kids come to your school no matter what great programs you offered. It bugged me that the district’s only response to these issues was to keep it quiet and pretend it wasn’t happening, even when kids started driving over for the performing arts programs and were getting mugged outside the school.

I thought the district should have assigned administrators to randomly ride the buses with the kids to help them feel safer – and I said so, but nobody would. So I (as a counselor) did – and I was waiting for somebody to say I was late for work, but nobody ever did. I would have used the opportunity to publicly discuss what was going on, but since nobody challenged me, it would have just looked like I was talking about myself. Still bugs me to this day, however. AND, by contracting out the services, it sort of made a false buffer between the district and what they were expecting those kids to do every day. How can you ask a child to do something every day that you are too afraid to do yourself? (Not saying being afraid wasn’t appropriate – it’s just a head in the sand culture. We could have accomplished so much more if we had all worked together.)

Sorry. I guess even buses are more complicated than it seems.
