Kyron Horman Missing Case: Terri Horman Breaks Her Silence In People Magazine Interview

New York, NY-  For nearly five and a half years Terri Horman has refused to speak publicly about her step-sons case.  Outside of one assertion of her innocence while on the stand in a name change hearing she ultimately was denied, Horman did not speak to any reporters or answer any of their questions regarding Kyron Hormans disappearance. Until Now.

Horman courtesy of People

Horman was interviewed by People Magazines Elaine Aradillas for both the print and online editions,  and will be doing a series of personal interviews over the next week, to include wwww.blinkoncrime.com.

In the brief online video excerpt , the second part to air on ABC’s Good Morning America Friday morning,  Horman  maintains she is deaf in her left ear, a critical factor in the outcome of her first polygraph.

“… At what point are Kyron’s biological parents going to realize I don’t have the answers, they need to change this thing around…”

“…There is so much the public is not being told about this investigation, that’s why I am doing this- nobody is looking for Kyron…”

Horman’s interview drew sharp reactions from Kaine Horman and Desiree Young, Kyron’s parents.

“…Why is she silent for 5 1/2 years if she is innocent.  I want her to tell me where Kyron is.  If she is innocent she should call Multnomah County Sheriffs Office and sit down for an interview…”-  Desiree Young

“Hi friends. Yes I am well aware of the tabloid journalism piece in the media today. FYI – there will be more of the same coming Friday
We have a HOST of MCSO and FBI investigators STILL standing by with interviews and polygraphs when someone actually wants to cooperate. FEEL FREE TO STOP BY THEY ARE WAITING!! STILL!! Until then we’ll stick with the scores of people with valid/accurate information and the failed polygraphs as the only actual actions taken to-date.  To all of you: how about not linking the article/interview?
REMEMBER KYRON?!?!? This is what we need to be focused on!!
Love you Kyron!!” – Kaine Horman post on his Facebook Page

Christina Stoy, www.blinkoncrime.com Editor In Chief was able to confirm with Ms. Horman directly that she has been willing to meet with Kyron’s investigators both previously and in the future with the sole provision that it be conducted in the presence of her Attorney,  Portland criminal defense lawyer Stephen Houze.

Horman went on to say that investigators with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office have been well aware of “that” over the last five and a half years and they have never requested an interview.  Um, What?

Horman reveals some shocking details about the subsequent polygraphs examinations referenced by Kaine Horman and Desiree Young and other allegations of improper tactics on behalf of MCSO in the second half of her interview to air tomorrow morning on abc’s GMA and on Nightline.

I really enjoyed your ‘story’. I don’t want to call it an article, because it was so relaxed and casual. It is actually nice to hear that somehow there is refuge for this family. I don’t know who is guilty and who isn’t… but I do know it isn’t the entire family. It’s certainly not a little girl who wants to play outside with her kitty…

Guilty or not… If I have a sign outside my house that reads “PRIVATE PROPERTY”, “KEEP OUT” or “NO TRESPASSING” and an unknown wanderer came knocking on my door after walking up my driveway through my gate would have been met in a firearm. This reporter may have been trying to exercise his 1st amendment right but he was not exempt from stomping the families 5th amendment rights. I would have actively pushed for the reporter’s criminal trespass conviction for trying to interview the family and almost causing the mother to lose track of her 18mo daughter due to reporters probing distractions. Its disgusting to see people behave this way. If you were in her shoes, you would want people to respect your rights. Pointing fingers and treating people as guilty before being proved innocent is quite a disrespectful act for anyone of the media. Everyday I wake, its seems a lot less like America. I guess people like this reporter must also believe in short rope justice.

yes, Houze was pinning down Kaine’s attorneys and or mcso

per his depo, they lied to the Court–at least that would be Houze’ argument.

“A Visit With Terri Moulton Horman, and What’s Changed at the House This Week
12:40 PM June 28th, 2010 by James Pitkin

As part of our reporting on the search for KyronHorman, we stopped by the home last week where the missing 7-year-old boy lived with his dad, Kaine Horman, and stepmom, Terri Moulton Horman.

The house is on Northwest Sheltered Nook Road, just off Cornelius Pass. There’s a winding gravel lane off Sheltered Nook Road leading up into the woods that feeds several driveways, including the Hormans’. When I visited on the afternoon of June 23, a lone cameraman from KOIN TV sat at the side of Sheltered Nook Road. He said most reporters don’t go past this point.

I walked up the gravel lane and took a left turn up the Hormans’ driveway. The gate was open, and there were no signs barring entry.

The rambling yard is completely surrounded by forest — no other houses and not even the road are visible once you’re up the driveway. The $292,000 house sits on the west end of the property.

Terri Moulton Horman’s shiny red Mustang, license plate RDSQRL (”Red Squirrel”), was sitting alone in the drive near an enormous walnut tree in the front yard. Walking up the sidewalk, we were surprised to see this sign hanging by the front door.

We rang the doorbell, and Terri answered with her 18-month-old daughter, Kiara, standing next to her.

Horman seemed neither surprised nor dismayed when I introduced myself as a reporter. She walked outside to join me on the front steps. Her baby girl and a cat emerged from the house with her.

Law-enforcement sources have told WW the investigation into Kyron’s disappearance has increasingly focused on Horman. When I visited, she told us investigators have asked her not to discuss the case with the media. She also declined to talk about her reaction to Kyron’s disappearance or details about her family.

That left us with small talk. I complimented her on the family’s hilly one-acre yard, asking whether the family might be planning to make a large unmowed patch at the center into a garden. She said no, and commented on the difficulties of keeping up the property.

While we were talking, Kiara was following the cat toward a shed at the edge of the woods. Horman looked up, saw that Kiara had wandered about 30 feet away from her, and ran to pick the girl up.

Horman declined once again to answer questions about her family. With nothing much left to say, I gave her my card, wished her a good day and walked back down the driveway.

After Kyron’s biological parents gave a series of TV interviews two days later, on June 25, I returned to Sheltered Nook Road today hoping Horman might have reconsidered talking to a reporter. Again there was a TV cameraman.

But one thing had changed in the five days since my first visit. Today there were four signs posted along the driveway in bright orange letters, warning visitors to stay away.

The gate was open, but I did as the signs said and kept out.”

http://www.wweek.com/portland/blog-1143-kyron-horman-update-man-spotted-in-photo-from-stepmoms-facebook-page.html
There must have been something to it (unidentified man story) since someone got this article pulled.

10. Rose says:

What Pitkin wrote on June 22 that now goes to Page Not Found. So obviously Pitkin went to see Terri on June 23 to ask about the man in the picture since his inquiry to MCSO got no response. That must’ve bern the matter Terri told him LE told her she coukd not duscuss. Pitkin was busy playing Investigator wrt “the Man” imo. I suspect thus line of investigative inquiry (the Man) going public in WW put Kaine’s Ki-Exit on urgent speed dial. Could it be Kaine wanted to distract inquiry from The Man (nod to Janet for language training) and maintain the ficus on Terri?

Since when is Pitkin a KPTV reporter?

I’m getting confused.

19. T. Ruth says:

Approached earlier in the day at her home in Northwest Portland, she had denied a report by KPTV 12/Fox TV news that her husband, Kaine Horman, and 18-month-old daughter, Kiara, had moved out.

“Everything’s good,” she said, giving a thumbs up. “We heard that rumor. It’s just a rumor that needs to be squelched. Everything’s fine.”

http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/06/kyron_hormans_stepmom_terri_mo.html

Two nights later, about 6 p.m. Monday, Terri Horman was served the restraining order and divorce papers at her home. About 45 minutes earlier, she had denied to an Oregonian reporter who came to her door that her husband had moved out. She gave a thumbs up, saying, “Everything’s good.”

http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/07/landscaper_tells_police_terri.html

So how many reporters were present when Terri gave the thumbs up? And why does one report say it was on the evening of the 27th, (that would be two nights earlier) and why does the other report says earlier in the day on the 29th?

Is this just more crappy reporting or was Terri just standing around the yard giving the thumbs up to every reporter who happened by?

Anywho, what is it you guys are looking for? Pitkin’s interview when the baby was in the yard? I recall that as well, the same as Gwen, though I don’t recall when it was done, but will try to find it.

Are you guys trying to figure out why WW was booted? I always figured it was because Pitkin reported on the restraining order taken out on KH by DY. But that’s just my guess.

Are they here?

31. T. Ruth says:

“It’s not true,” Houze said of the claims Terri Horman was the last person to see Kyron that day. “We have witnesses who will say, in fact, they know facts first-hand that demonstrate that is not true.”

http://www.cbs46.com/story/23425918/attorney-terri-horman-wasnt-last-person-to-see-kyron-horman-at-school

*****************

Is that an odd phrase or is it just me? “first-hand” witnesses that will *****demonstrate***** that is not true. How does a witness “demonstrate”? You know, as opposed to being an eyewitness, who will simply say what they saw or verbally corroborate something. As we’ve seen Houze is a man of a few choice words.

How does one *demonstrate* something is not true?

Through their sworn deposition and testimony. By law, hearsay is inadmissible of witnesses with very limited exceptions and in this preceding none I can think of. That said, I have stated there are depositions of record in this case that support Kyron was last seen with SZ.

What I am trying to get at tactfully is we are not talking about the clerk from FM or the dry cleaners- as stated Houze specifically stated “first hand accounts”- those are eyewitnesses that directly impeach the possibility Kyron was last seen with Terri.

I completely agree Houze is the laser beam of legaleeze.

She wisely did not invite him in, but neither did she call 911 as she promptly
did for Rudy. That indicates
her fear of Rudy in comparison to
other male strangers.
Visit 2 on 6/25. The signs were up & he did not enter the property.

35. Rose says:

@NelMel. “o him. Learning what happened to him is Step One. What can we all do to help complete Step One?”
Step 1 imo is pressure on LE to simply focus on Who SZ was that Kyron left the bldg with.
The options are mot THAT huge.
But MCSO lacks the resources, training, and behavioral history to do it and is in turmoil.
Imo Reese will be fobbing as much as possible off on PPB trying to integrate functions.
(Interim PPB Chief’s proactive resistance to that Reese-Kafoury gambit can be seen in her reassigning investigators & other functions to Patropleading PPB is way shorthanded). And PPB is in chaos.
So the only realistic investigatory agency will have to be State police or FBI FULLY taking over.
And the only way that will happen is if both bios join together to advocate that course, standing side by side, along with a writing to mcso/da. Underhill asks the State police or OR DOJ to do investigations all the time.
Now, this jurisdictional change advocacy option has been out there for bios to call for for 6 years. The only
possible reasons imo they have not acted would be: 1) they want Terri charged period, 2) the money incentives
not to identify SZ.

So imo like the Dems chanting whilst sitting in, “no fly, no buy,” Kyron’s
concerned advocates need a chant. Let’s have a creative chant contest.
Awareness without Advocacy is like a 4 wheel drive white truck stuck in the mud.
No Mystery Man, No Money.
Kyron, not Kars.
No Money without a Fresh Agency In Charge.
Investigate DoOver. Fresh Eyes.
Actually, I don’t really have creative slogans.
But whoever does, I suggest it include “No More Money
Until” the case transfers out of Mult County.

36. Rose says:

typo: options of who SZ is are NOT that huge

37. Rose says:

On reflection, it’s pretty unrealistic to expect bio mom to call for a jurisdictional transfer out of Multnomah. Because she’s the one who insists Kyron left the school with Terri. If she can be so
untruthful to the public, no way she wants anything about SZ
substantiated publically by a real investigatory agency in my opinion.

38. Rose says:

SZ? There’s parents, staff, contractors, Solar for Schools employees,
day care ctr before school, evening rental groups,
volunteers like Sunset Presby, Skyline vol firefighters,
and neighbors. In 6 years those shoukd’ve been run down.

39. erose says:

(Wasn’t her email about the chaperone published around July 5)? Can’t find Blink’s most recent comment on plaid shirt guy, but didn’t she just confirm he was Kyron’s chaperone, or did I dream that?.. and no one wanted to release that info before TH was nailed to the cross, why?

So yes, Flannel shirt is the chaperone mentioned on TH facebook as told to her by LE (presumably in an effort to ID him but never showed her (her own) pic and asked. TMH was never, repeat, NEVER told about SZ in the context of Kyron being seen with him and the exchange with Mathews. Any follow up questions to this will be in the series as I wish to quote Ms. Horman directly.

Too bad the adult closest to Kyron, who spent volunteer hours at Skyline, was never told about SZ in the context of the exchange in Matthews room. It’s as if the investigation were purposely being steered towards TH. All because of an obviously vengeful ex and her cop husband’s gut feelings, or because of a roided up husband? Weak motives and shallow people, if true in light of a missing child, IMO.

@TRuth. Thanks for the link to the newspaper re-publisher over at SM. I went and looked at
June 23, 3:37, and wouldn’t you know, this is who Soldier just copied putting up the same old
Desiree newspaper quote that Kyron left with Terri. I hardly think Janet is doing either Kyron or Desiree a favor.
Could it be SM is the source for many of Soldier’s accusatory newspaper articles being regurgitated on her own site?

Agreed.

I dont think Blink confirmed flannel shirt was Kyron’s chaperone, or even a real chaperone.
Imo Blink confirmed he (with a girl) was the chaperone LE told TH ablut WITHOUT showing her her own picture to give the info provided her in LE’s questioning some meaning or context. They were as likely lying he was “a” chaperone in their questioning of her as about anything else she or the bios were told.

If I’m reading this correctly, the judge ruled on 12/18/13, that Sanchez could testify if this divorce case went to trial. On the same day a hearing is postponed, by TMH attys request. On 12/31/13, the divorce is granted and marriage terminated, custody matters, etc. to be decided later.

So my question is did Kaine Horman settle because he didn’t want RSE to testify? Why would he do that? My only answer would be because he knew it was BS.

A B S O L U T E L Y. If I am not mistaken, the FAPA was converted the previous June- very telling.
