Kyron Horman Missing Case: Terri Horman Breaks Her Silence In People Magazine Interview

New York, NY-  For nearly five and a half years Terri Horman has refused to speak publicly about her step-sons case.  Outside of one assertion of her innocence while on the stand in a name change hearing she ultimately was denied, Horman did not speak to any reporters or answer any of their questions regarding Kyron Hormans disappearance. Until Now.

Horman courtesy of People

Horman was interviewed by People Magazines Elaine Aradillas for both the print and online editions,  and will be doing a series of personal interviews over the next week, to include wwww.blinkoncrime.com.

In the brief online video excerpt , the second part to air on ABC’s Good Morning America Friday morning,  Horman  maintains she is deaf in her left ear, a critical factor in the outcome of her first polygraph.

“… At what point are Kyron’s biological parents going to realize I don’t have the answers, they need to change this thing around…”

“…There is so much the public is not being told about this investigation, that’s why I am doing this- nobody is looking for Kyron…”

Horman’s interview drew sharp reactions from Kaine Horman and Desiree Young, Kyron’s parents.

“…Why is she silent for 5 1/2 years if she is innocent.  I want her to tell me where Kyron is.  If she is innocent she should call Multnomah County Sheriffs Office and sit down for an interview…”-  Desiree Young

“Hi friends. Yes I am well aware of the tabloid journalism piece in the media today. FYI – there will be more of the same coming Friday
We have a HOST of MCSO and FBI investigators STILL standing by with interviews and polygraphs when someone actually wants to cooperate. FEEL FREE TO STOP BY THEY ARE WAITING!! STILL!! Until then we’ll stick with the scores of people with valid/accurate information and the failed polygraphs as the only actual actions taken to-date.  To all of you: how about not linking the article/interview?
REMEMBER KYRON?!?!? This is what we need to be focused on!!
Love you Kyron!!” – Kaine Horman post on his Facebook Page

Christina Stoy, www.blinkoncrime.com Editor In Chief was able to confirm with Ms. Horman directly that she has been willing to meet with Kyron’s investigators both previously and in the future with the sole provision that it be conducted in the presence of her Attorney,  Portland criminal defense lawyer Stephen Houze.

Horman went on to say that investigators with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office have been well aware of “that” over the last five and a half years and they have never requested an interview.  Um, What?

Horman reveals some shocking details about the subsequent polygraphs examinations referenced by Kaine Horman and Desiree Young and other allegations of improper tactics on behalf of MCSO in the second half of her interview to air tomorrow morning on abc’s GMA and on Nightline.

@ ATG. The FBI agent in charge in Portland who slathered his face on local TV the first couple weeks was relatively new to this promotion. His prior assignments were drug case oriented. He retired in a couple years to CA iirc near his son. His followups seemed to be on a track of promotion from elsewhere in the country for a high three govt salary grade then retirement. Portland being a park yrself fir 2-3 yrs and retire kind of fbi posting imo.

JBR – Can’t believe Smit’s evidence could have been ordered to be destroyed. It was said (Walta?) the only way Boulder PD can preserve their reputation is to maintain Ramsey’s guilt. Also the “group think” mentality (like Staton?) or you’re out. Media, rush to judgement for entertainment sake. Can’t believe the suffering of that little girl, it now so obviously happened in a way that she suffered brutally (defensive self-inflicted wounds). DNA on two articles of clothing! None of this bodes well for Kyron’s case. We wait, as was said, for serendipity.

I have 2 different colleagues working on 2 different networks covering this case this month.
When this offender is caught, and he will be, it will be learned he was interviewed early and he has a false alibi.

JBR suffered a horrible, evil death. Her parents suffered Hell on earth.

I see that TH is going to make an appearance on Dr. Phil. I think that that will be a huge mistake. Dr. Phil favorite tactic is to get guests on his show blindside them and make them look like criminals even if they are not. This gets him more audience which means more money which is the only thing he is interested in.

The other day I saw him enlist the help of his audience to blindside a guest. He snuck another guest into the green room and ask the audience not to react to the person he was interviewing so that person would not realize that her accuser was in the green room.

If TH needs money be on Oprah or anywhere but not on Dr. Phil. I guarantee that no truth will come out of that interview because Dr. Phil is only interested in creating a conflict on his show to get viewers. And sell his books, Dr on demand, his wife’s makeup and anything else he thinks he can cash in on. And he does lie to his guests about who else will be on his show just ask Kaine.

Has taped and will air. I am going to reserve my opinion until it airs but as Ms. Horman is aware, it would not have been my choice for her based on many of the points you make.

I would think TH would not want that show sitting out there to potentially be viewed by potential employer’s

    ***********

I know you are referring to the Ramsey case here ^^^ Blink, but I think the same will hold true for Kyron’s. Nothing else makes sense to me anymore. I still think someone is covering for someone else here, and that there were multiple people involved in Kyron’s abduction. JMO

  19. T. Ruth says:

At least two witnesses have told police they saw a second adult waiting in Terri Horman’s truck while she was with Kyron at his school science fair the day he disappeared. Investigators are looking for witnesses to confirm the claim and offer a valid description.

Bruce McCain, former captain of the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, told CBS News, “The identity of that second person, if he or she existed, could be critical in determining what happened to Kyron after 9 a.m. on June 4.”

    http://www.cbsnews.com/news/mystery-figure-emerging-in-kyron-horman-case/

Key words here to me are “second adult”, and “waiting” “while TMH was inside”. If TMH was inside, who saw a “first adult” and who was it?
The second adult thing, makes me think someone saw someone (an adult) sitting in the *passenger side* of a white truck, not necessarily TMH’s but similar, IOW an adult who was “waiting” for the driver (presumed an adult) of the vehicle to come out of the school. First adult being presumed INSIDE the school. I mean, if I saw someone in the driver’s seat of a truck, I would not at all assume there was another adult involved with that vehicle. So either these witnesses saw a second adult, or they were making the presumption of a first adult, who would have been behind the wheel. Which is it?

This makes me wonder if SZ (i.e, Matthew’s permissionee), simply escorted Kyron to this truck, while said “waiting adult” scooted over to the driver’s side and they left the premises, without SZ, while SZ goes back to the school to create alibi. “Oh yes, Kyron helped me bring in my stuff, that’s the last time I saw him.”

But then, if this were the case, why would LE keep saying Kyron was last seen by TMH? What time did the Matthew’s classroom exchange take place? Was it after TMH said goodbye to Kyron, but before TMH actually left the school? Somewhere between 8:45 and 9:00? Do we, or will we ever get to know the timing of that classroom scenario?

I don’t know how much Bruce McCain was privy to, probably not much, but he is saying such information would help in determining Ky’s wherebouts AFTER 9:00 a.m., so how could that apply to TMH’s truck, if she was gone?

He had no inside knowledge- I think it is a conservative estimate that anyone acting as a pundit on Kyron’s case relied on faulty media accounts.

  25. T. Ruth says:

Heinrich had long been under investigators’ scrutiny. They first questioned him shortly after Jacob’s abduction, but he maintained his innocence and they never had enough evidence to charge him. They turned a renewed spotlight on him as part of a fresh look into Jacob’s abduction around its 25th anniversary.

As part of that effort, investigators took another look at the sexual assault of 12-year-old Jared Scheierl, of Cold Spring, nine months before Jacob’s disappearance. Investigators had long suspected the two cases were connected.

    *****************

Can someone give me some insight on how this happens? What this is saying, is that if no one had ever looked at some crime that was **just** sexual assault, they would have never bothered to look at or for a murderer.

In regards to Kyron’s case I go back to the case where a little girl was lured from a school in Gresham many years ago, apparently in the same manner as Kyron. Someone who knows, someone in LE, tell me how this works: If one abducts a kid, and the kid is found alive, even though perhaps beaten, does an investigator rule that abduction out as being done by the same person who may have in fact killed his next victim?

I hope my question makes sense, because I truly am trying to determine just when and why does an abductor become a killer?

(LOL, I just realized, I’m trying to get a free online education.
    sorry.)

Lol. I wish I could give the online tutorial- but analysis of this case is critical to answer your question because it can be very different for each offender and at the very least- the precipitous event or trigger can simply be fear of detection over one incident (vic 1 v vic 2) that was not present for another. Point is- we need to look at the offender profile from A to Z, and contrast that with the empirical data. As an example- there was a string of similar incidents that occurs in this area that are almost “spree-like”- and so far, Jacob was the only homicide and Heinrich’s account of his assault differs greatly from that of victim Jared- whom he let go. You have an offender who was initially charged in Jareds assault- yet feels comfortable enough to have 3 ring binders of child porn laying around his house. Point is- his consistencies are inconsistent and he is clearly a disorganized offender. So hth does it take 27 years to catch him?
    B

In terms of training- the FBI does treat stranger offenders who abduct children in its own class so to speak (Hazelwood).

    B

I have not seen that particular program erose, but I am intimately familiar with Smits work and 3 FBI agents who worked on it directly- who were also my lecturers/instructors at multiple times and over multiple subject matters. The former head of BSU (BSU it had many names over the years) told me to my face (as well as the class) Roger DePue that he initially believed Patsy COULD not be excluded as a the source of the ransom note but openly admitted he was wrong and that is just the tip of the iceberg in the differences of opinion as to BSU assets either former or current. One thing to remember, and I do believe it plays a part in Kyron’s case as well- many of these SA’s have never and will never work a high profile stranger or unsub abduction in their entire careers. We have all studied them with what I will consider the world’s finest behavioral and profiling experts of this offender profile, but the truth is- it also instills a sort of “it has to be in the percentages” before I will consider the boogie man mentality.

Don’t get me wrong- I am not as sold on the idea that the JBR offender (unsub) had it out for John Ramsey as his motivation to hurt his child as some of my counterparts are- so there are definitely subtle differences of opinion on key points- but Clemente would be the first FBI (former) asset I am aware of, or LE personnel of any kind, that said he believes the ransom not was written after the homicide. For me- I don’t need to hear another thing he as to say- he lost me at “listen carefully!”

  35. erose says:

TRuth, Me again. Anyone who saw that documentary would not have any questions for LE other than how they can sleep at night knowing they lied. There was an intruder in the Ramsey home, and the BPD lied and continue to this day to lie about the case while what is left of the Ramsey family waits for answers. It is so despicable. I am sorry you missed it. You would be appalled.

When we speak about LE cover up, I always thought of it in a way that they had something to hide such as the steroid involvement. What I learned on the JBR doc is that LE formed a group mentality of the Ramsey’s guilt and as a group they only admitted evidence that would persuade people of their beliefs. If you wanted/needed to be in that group, you towed the party line…regardless.

Smit went to Boulder expecting to find evidence of the Ramsey’s guilt and found just the opposite to be true, so they kicked him off of the case. They took him to court to have his evidence destroyed! And they were the ones who hired him. Smit was so respected and had a 90% success rate in homicide investigations. So much for the search for truth.

After seeing that I doubt MCSO will never admit they were wrong about TH. Never. Like kewl said, Kyron has never been located so there is even less evidence in his case. I always thought the LE “cover up” was significant to their involvement such as the steroids, but now I believe they are people who closed their minds once they believed TH “did it” and will always believe that regardless of any evidence that speaks otherwise.

No wonder DY remains convinced of TH’s guilt, Kyron’s investigators have probably never considered any other scenario. Who knows what evidence has gone by the wayside, and what else they have chosen to ignore. I believe if LE did update us, it would be on the premise that TH did it and here is what they have on her. Everything else has been thrown out long ago, if it’s anything like JBR’s case, and Blink says it is.

Here goes my ‘benefit of doubt’ tendency: personally I believe TMH was aware of the reputation Dr Phil has of verbally attacking unsuspecting guest/ surprise guests etc. Why she would agree to do this, after 6 years of being the subject of intense media/public/ slandering despite no evidence linking her to a crime if she thought this was a possibility ? Why set herself up to be doubted/ accused yet again? I believe there had to have been some conditions met before she would agree to this. I can’t see her, after all this time of mostly silence, walking blind onto the set of a show without knowing the exact outcome. It would be like buying a ticket to her own funeral otherwise

I assume the producers of the show follow the case, and anyone who follows the case most likely will read here. The exposure to facts, educated contributions, and the withholding of BS could have shaped the direction they wanted the show to go. I also wonder if the timing of this has anything to do with Staton’s replacement since she mentions being told to lie in the preview…

Just my 2 cants also….I’m not saying TMH is a saint, after all there was the untimely sexting. But correct me if I’m wrong…she has owned that publically via People interview, making her the ONLY person in this case caretaker or otherwise to have admitted a mistake

In my interaction with Ms. Horman- I have found her very forthright and accountable for what she herself termed as poor decisions both as a parent and as a spouse. I think it is fair to say I would be included in that club of folks wishing for do-overs on occasion, as most would. I don’t know if that will translate in Dr. Philter’s format and to be completely honest- I have warned her about that very concern. I do believe she genuinely feels that if she remains the focus of the investigation- Kyron is no closer to being located and in her position I have to think there is little more frustrating than that.

Stensen had an interesting performance work history and some weed, but many in Oregon do the latter.
He amicably divorced a couple years after the abduction. His website hasn’t been updated in a
    few years

with you, cd. It’s her life, just like kaine’s and desiree’s, and their child (the 4).
I trust she had good reasons. I feel she is easily led until she “gets Irish” and hope
she doesn’t have a new advisor, or that it’s a reflection of a “competition” with bios.

Just would like to say for any reading here (for the record) if I knew beforehand it was Dr. Phil she was considering I would have advised her not to although I had\have no right to do so other than my personal/professional opinion.

I am happy to agree to disagree.
My opinion is based on the fact imo
    MCSO/PPB/MCDA are above all
opportunistic and political in practice, as PPS has been.
I don’t see how lack of evidence stands in their way.
And I see them “creating” evidence for political ends, ie that
    convicted Mohammed kid.

  47. rose says:

Lack of evidence didnt bother them in
    years 1-3 nor bother
    Underhill in his GJ stewardship.

Respectfully submitted I think it bothered them plenty to have a no true bill and then dismiss a second grand jury.

Yes I agree, you are always open and willing to self correct if needed. Didn’t mean to exclude you. One of the attributes that makes you “salt of the earth “. (I have been called that and it is something I love to hear. Such a compliment IMO). In my post I was thinking of LE as the entity who refuses to admit mistakes.

If I were Houze, I’d terminate representation.
I hold by her greatest period of jeopardy
of arrest is between Nov election and ’17 May primary.
    ——————-
The show may have been done with Houze’s blessing . We don’t know why Terri made the decision to go on the Phil show. I think if the DA had enough evidence to arrest Terri then he would have done so long ago. Considering the MHF is a no go and that they don’t even know what happened to Kyron I don’t believe that the DA or Sheriff would even know what to charge Terri with let alone arrest her.

I saw a clip from Terri’s interview at the end of Dr.Phil today. I love the Today Show and for some reason he was on at a different time following them. I wanted to get a peak of JBR’s story but there was Terri. There was no one else sitting with her and Dr. Phil.

Blink was the creep Oliva in Oregon when Kyron was taken. I know John Mark Karr was lurking in Seattle at the time.

    Olivia?
