Kyron Horman Missing Case: Terri Horman Breaks Her Silence In People Magazine Interview

New York, NY-  For nearly five and a half years Terri Horman has refused to speak publicly about her step-sons case.  Outside of one assertion of her innocence while on the stand in a name change hearing she ultimately was denied, Horman did not speak to any reporters or answer any of their questions regarding Kyron Hormans disappearance. Until Now.

Horman courtesy of People

Horman was interviewed by People Magazines Elaine Aradillas for both the print and online editions,  and will be doing a series of personal interviews over the next week, to include wwww.blinkoncrime.com.

In the brief online video excerpt , the second part to air on ABC’s Good Morning America Friday morning,  Horman  maintains she is deaf in her left ear, a critical factor in the outcome of her first polygraph.

“… At what point are Kyron’s biological parents going to realize I don’t have the answers, they need to change this thing around…”

“…There is so much the public is not being told about this investigation, that’s why I am doing this- nobody is looking for Kyron…”

Horman’s interview drew sharp reactions from Kaine Horman and Desiree Young, Kyron’s parents.

“…Why is she silent for 5 1/2 years if she is innocent.  I want her to tell me where Kyron is.  If she is innocent she should call Multnomah County Sheriffs Office and sit down for an interview…”-  Desiree Young

“Hi friends. Yes I am well aware of the tabloid journalism piece in the media today. FYI – there will be more of the same coming Friday
We have a HOST of MCSO and FBI investigators STILL standing by with interviews and polygraphs when someone actually wants to cooperate. FEEL FREE TO STOP BY THEY ARE WAITING!! STILL!! Until then we’ll stick with the scores of people with valid/accurate information and the failed polygraphs as the only actual actions taken to-date.  To all of you: how about not linking the article/interview?
REMEMBER KYRON?!?!? This is what we need to be focused on!!
Love you Kyron!!” – Kaine Horman post on his Facebook Page

Christina Stoy, www.blinkoncrime.com Editor In Chief was able to confirm with Ms. Horman directly that she has been willing to meet with Kyron’s investigators both previously and in the future with the sole provision that it be conducted in the presence of her Attorney,  Portland criminal defense lawyer Stephen Houze.

Horman went on to say that investigators with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office have been well aware of “that” over the last five and a half years and they have never requested an interview.  Um, What?

Horman reveals some shocking details about the subsequent polygraphs examinations referenced by Kaine Horman and Desiree Young and other allegations of improper tactics on behalf of MCSO in the second half of her interview to air tomorrow morning on abc’s GMA and on Nightline.

I agree with you post about the condition of the courts. During the 1960′s the courts began to fail the people. The Warren court of the Supreme Court of the USA was the lead in making this possible.

Yes, there are some great judges on some courts who do their best to follow the law in all cases before them and render good decisions. However, IMO most have been compromised and do not follow good behavior towards the people.

I have read the transcripts of several Federal 9th circuit cases and in each case they first built a “strawman” and then used it to reach a flawed decision usually regarding some social agenda.

  5. A Texas Grandfather says:

I am a people watcher. Have been all my life. There is much to be learned about general behavior by observation. Sometimes predicting future behaviors is easy and other times not.

How much is heredity and how much is mores or environment is difficult to quantify. Humans become good citizens or bad citizens by the choices they make each day. If all one has as a guide is poor behavior, then one’s choices are likely to lean in that direction. Sometimes we see very responsible and good people come out of an environment that is considered very poor. Those are exceptional people who are born with a good moral compass. Then we have those that are born into good families who become ugly criminals.

I have maintained for a long time, that we don’t have the tools to examine human behavior as a true scientist would examine the behavior of materials. Little by little work is being done to build the knowledge and tools, but we are a long way behind the material scientist.

    Agreed.

CD, Clapping with Rose wrt your TH/Dr Phil post.

Rose, Dateline was worth the watch, I thought, for many reasons, not least of which was because I learned it was an agent from the FBI (Ron Walker) who originally planted the Ramsey’s “did it” seed.

TRuth, Lou Smith and others are convinced a stun gun was used. Smit’s theory (as Dateline presented) and was enhanced by a former BPD investigator that has taken up Smit’s torch is that the intruder entered through the grate under the basement window while the family was out. He wrote the 3 page ransom note while the family was out. Once they all went to bed/sleep, he went to JBR’s room and used the stun gun on her. His plan was to place her in a suitcase and go out the basement window, however he could not get the suitcase out of the basement, so he abandoned that plan, brutalized and killed her and left the suitcase in the basement and left through the basement window. (btw consistent theory with sequence of injuries and self defense wounds.)

We are going to need to agree to disagree on that rose. There is a zero percent chance TH will be arrested or indicted in anything related to Kyron’s disappearance or any bogus mfh. Why do you think Kyron did not even have so much as a sentence or thought in MCSO’s most recent debacle? Underhill does not want that Staton smell sticking to him, AND lastly… there has never been a scintilla of evidence against this woman and eyewitness testimony pointing away from her.

Terri Horman is not the focus of the Kyron investigation.

    RE: Dr. Phil

My guess is TMH wants to tell her side of things, and Dr. P was willing to pay her to do so, and she needs the money. Simple. My concern is who else Dr. P brings on the show, for that matter, I figure SG and crew already have tickets to the peanut gallery. I’ve never seen a Dr. P show, where there is only one person being interviewed on a subject. Have you guys?

Anywho, I hope TMH expands on Kyron’s behavior and when she noticed the changes. I still think Kyron was abducted and silenced for something he knew. Something that would have caused someone to lose their livelihood and likely be arrested. I still think it involves more than one person. The only way I’ll change my thinking is if I see evidence to the contrary, because this is what makes most sense to me. JMO.

I’m also still of a mind that the answer to Kyron’s case lies in the silence of the school. I hope TMH expands on who told her about the male chaperone, two girls, etc., and the events that took place when she and Kaine got to the school that afternoon. Would also like clarification on Kyron’s classroom, as KH & DY said one thing and others have said another. Did he have a separate math class? If so, who was his teacher? Does she have any idea what DY refers to, when saying “she put it all in writing”? How about emails that state how much she hated Kyron? All these questions still out there, that have never been answered, drives me crazy.

Just realized his birthday was yesterday. My goodness, 14. Happy belated birthday Kyron where ever you are.

    T.Ruth-
Terri was not compensated in any way for her interview. She did advise the producers that if they pulled one of those “gotcha” BS stunts, she would walk off immediately.

my new learning is sadistic sexual arousal is based on the perpetrator’s
observations of his victim’s suffering, not the act of infliction of pain (therefore he can
feel pretty good about himself afterwards in a sociopath’s way imo).
very small sample, but 43% were married. 1/4 did males. 26% did both children and adults.

I did not read but a very quick and simple standard: a sexual sadist is an individual who has merged an act of violence with sexual arousal (Hazelwood). It is never “undone” and as you likely saw- nearly half have compliant victims in their companions. This profile also works via their fantasy continuum.

I don’t believe that LE any suspects in their sights. They don’t even know what happened to Kyron let alone who did or how it was done. For all LE knows Kyron could have been Kidnapped by a stranger, beamed up by aliens, snatched by wandering Gipsy’s, carried off by a cougar or fell into a very deep well.

They won’t clear Teri because they spent a lot of money on this case and she is all they have to show for it but that doesn’t mean that they have any real evidence against Terri. So probably for now no-one is going to be arrested in Kyron’s case.

    IMO
Reese could take another look at Kyron’s case but what good would it do him if there is no new evidence to work with. He would be looking in the same binders that have been looked at for 6+ years. Not enough evidence to charge anyone.

I think the only way this case will get solved will be like some other cases we have heard. LE will arrest someone on porn, child molestation or kidnaping. The person arrested will want to do a deal with the DA/police to take the death penalty off the table, or go to the prison of their choice and will offer up some answers to missing child cases in return. This person could be the perp or even a inmate that has heard something.

I don’t know if they can watch Dr. Phil in prison? If they can it might jar some gossip loose.

This could happen tomorrow or 20 years from now.

The only other thing I believe that could help would be if the FBI took over the case but after 6+ years it would probably even be a challenge for the FBI.

That’s what I figured Dr. P was asking about as well. Who cares? Just shows me the path the interview is going to go down; dumb questions from Dr. P. For heaven’s sake he’s not trying to save their already broken marriage, what’s the point? Trying to show she’s not a liar, and was told to say that by whooooom? She hasn’t lied about anything that we know of. Why is it important what TMH admitted to the press about the goings on in her marriage, not to mention only hours before she was served with an RO and divorce papers? How does that help find Kyron? I wouldn’t have answered the reporter, but if I had, then I probably would have told them something like go take a hike (being kind here), instead of thumbs up. None of their damn business. And btw, who keyed the press as to something was going on in their marriage in the first place? She hadn’t even been served.

I sincerely hope there are some more relevant questions asked of her and a whole lot more about Kyron, June 3 and June 4, 2010, and the school, etc.

TY didn’t just shake KH’s hand, he embraced him. To this day, I thought that was stranger than hell. It’s apparent that no one in DY’s family cares for KH at all, from her sisters to her Dad, Kyron’s Poppa. Why did TY suddenly feel some need to show bonding with KH? Weird to me then, and weird to me now. Seems to me it was all a big facade.

    T. Ruth- it is correct that at the time, other than the fact that she was pretty clear she was now a suspect, and was threatened to never see her daughter again, TH did not know what was coming outside of whatever “destroying someone’s life” entails. I think like most reasonable people, if someone said that to me (pretending here I have a different profession) I would have considered it a meritless threat- I mean, officers of the court can’t really do such things to innocent people, right? I have since learned it was “the Norm”. Tongue in cheek, of course.

in my opinion that’s why Soldier psychologically fused with her.

I see no ancestry on Oliva, but cursory google shows Italian as well as Hispanic (phillipino, mexican, cuban etc).

Olivia DNA was ruled out years ago unfortunately. That said, I think he is a creepy and potentially dangerous pedophile.

I googled heidi moawad Oregon (Kyron’s lead ADA for over a year per a Kitz press release upon her apptmt):

“Duties and Responsibilities: The public safety policy advisor works with the leadership of the Department of Corrections, Oregon State Police, Oregon Youth Authority, Oregon Criminal Justice Commission, Oregon Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision, Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, Oregon National Guard and the Office of Emergency Management. The advisor works closely with stakeholders in the public safety community around the state, and the state and local communities to achieve the governor’s goals on related issues. ”

good gosh. Dept of Corrections; Parole & Post Prison Supervision (bow down ye Sheriffs & DAs & registered sex offenders); Emergency Mgmt; State Police. National Guard. Youth Authority.

Zero imo in her training and work hx prepared her for management responsibility at this level. She’d never even been a DA Office Supervisor.
this political apptmt initially by Kitz occurred after June 2010-2012 as Kyron’s fulltime ADA, she certainly landed on her feet. Way to go Gov Brown!! Either Brown did not look at the credentials of her inherited staff, or daddy Heim’s OR legislature power prevented Brown making her own choice.

I may have mentioned this before, but recent conversations have cemented my opinion- I have asked just about everyone that would have to be in contact with the DA’s office in any capacity during the first year of Kyron’s case- and because I found it odd- I always ask the question re Ms. Mowad’s involvement/contribution to the case and NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY had any contact with her and that would include docs indicating who was- as in, Rees and Woods at the bottom tier.

Just thinking…there was a case last fall where a young girl disappeared at a junior high football game. Her parents were there and she was playing with other children and then was not. Her body was found in a nearby wooded area, sexually assaulted and murdered. The killer turned out to be a friend of the father who actually spent time at the game with the father. He got her to go with him and no one saw initially, but evidence found at site which was discarded got him arrested. When I find the story I will link. It all happened in a matter of a few minutes.
Keep thinking about how quickly Kyron could have been removed, assaulted, murdered, and disposed of. Sick world in which we live.
