Kyron Horman Missing Case: Terri Horman Breaks Her Silence In People Magazine Interview

New York, NY-  For nearly five and a half years Terri Horman has refused to speak publicly about her step-sons case.  Outside of one assertion of her innocence while on the stand in a name change hearing she ultimately was denied, Horman did not speak to any reporters or answer any of their questions regarding Kyron Hormans disappearance. Until Now.

Horman courtesy of People

Horman was interviewed by People Magazines Elaine Aradillas for both the print and online editions,  and will be doing a series of personal interviews over the next week, to include

In the brief online video excerpt , the second part to air on ABC’s Good Morning America Friday morning,  Horman  maintains she is deaf in her left ear, a critical factor in the outcome of her first polygraph.

“… At what point are Kyron’s biological parents going to realize I don’t have the answers, they need to change this thing around…”

“…There is so much the public is not being told about this investigation, that’s why I am doing this- nobody is looking for Kyron…”

Horman’s interview drew sharp reactions from Kaine Horman and Desiree Young, Kyron’s parents.

“…Why is she silent for 5 1/2 years if she is innocent.  I want her to tell me where Kyron is.  If she is innocent she should call Multnomah County Sheriffs Office and sit down for an interview…”-  Desiree Young

“Hi friends. Yes I am well aware of the tabloid journalism piece in the media today. FYI – there will be more of the same coming Friday
We have a HOST of MCSO and FBI investigators STILL standing by with interviews and polygraphs when someone actually wants to cooperate. FEEL FREE TO STOP BY THEY ARE WAITING!! STILL!! Until then we’ll stick with the scores of people with valid/accurate information and the failed polygraphs as the only actual actions taken to-date.  To all of you: how about not linking the article/interview?
REMEMBER KYRON?!?!? This is what we need to be focused on!!
Love you Kyron!!” – Kaine Horman post on his Facebook Page

Christina Stoy, Editor In Chief was able to confirm with Ms. Horman directly that she has been willing to meet with Kyron’s investigators both previously and in the future with the sole provision that it be conducted in the presence of her Attorney,  Portland criminal defense lawyer Stephen Houze.

Horman went on to say that investigators with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office have been well aware of “that” over the last five and a half years and they have never requested an interview.  Um, What?

Horman reveals some shocking details about the subsequent polygraphs examinations referenced by Kaine Horman and Desiree Young and other allegations of improper tactics on behalf of MCSO in the second half of her interview to air tomorrow morning on abc’s GMA and on Nightline.

When I see the pic of kiara/kyron on a bean chair on Soldier’s site, I think: Those are Terri’s memories in that photo. not Soldier’s, Desiree’s, or Kristin’s, and probably not Kaine’s. No one else has the memories of those photographed moments in her heart but Terri and likely James. Sadly James and the Moultons lost 2. If I had a choice of who’d be on Phil remembering kyron besides Terri, it would be Moultons.

@atg. this sole source for hardware nobid K is typical of school districts. our county was the same.
A proncipal prior to my kid’s arrival said H No, severed relations with Coury IT Dept (patched up after 15 or so yrs after the Cty wdnt his way), founded one of the Country’s 1st school Foundations, bought his own stuff and did (with a parent-professional crew) all the cabling in the ceilings, installations and software.

She was Really rocking a boat to get rid of Mtn State because that vendor’s financial success depends on all regional state districts buying from them. And she lacked the power of being a no 1 testing principal in the State.

Iirc she wanted all schools in transition (being buikt or rewired) to meet cetain cable standards, or they’d have to be retrofitted later. Her bosses refused. Witeless was not her first choice. She was trying to work around the problem.

I can tell you in our parent-professional crew, if they were jury-rigging strings together agaknst code, we’d be ordered to go work in classrooms (these hardware installations & yearly replacements are multistep and multilication) until proper equipment arrived. Mr Contract Consultant wasn’t prepared and didn’t have the necessary materials on hand. And he had no business ordering her employees to do anything. It is alarming pos it contracted with a consultant of his hit temperment and sent him to a HS site.

  16. A Texas Grandfather says:

It isn’t just the schools that have no bid contracts. City, county and state government operate in the same manner. A contractor will wine and dine the appropriate decision makers to earn themselves an inside deal.

Your story about the school principle deciding to do his own design and construction project rather than using the district’s contractor is not new. Those projects mostly crash and burn due to the lack of knowledge by the person or persons trying to accomplish them. They do not understand the limitations of cabling and the proper method of installation and many other things.

I can remember a job in Texas at a court house where the County Attorney decided all of the bid proposals were too high and decided to do the job himself. After many months of things not working, the County Commissioners stepped in and I got the job of cleaning up his mess.

This was in the days where coaxial cable was the prime cable for wiring ethernet. Wireless was limited to about fifty feet while coax was 300 feet for 10 base T. Ten base T was ten megabits per second and operated from a hub. Smart switches didn’t exist. He broke every rule for cabling including running cables through electrical distribution panels. And as you said, “it ain’t string”.

A project where parents with knowledge donate their time and expertise, is likely to succeed if the principle will state the goals and then get themselves out of the way.

I’ve used this method for making big decisions in my life, praying on it, rather than rushing to the (what we think is right) decision. Mom is still going strong at 84, so she must be doing something right. I still take her fishing every summer and gain additional life skills from her. Oh Malty. I not only see nothing wrong either, I am glad you are
keeping us uptodate. After all, she has not set it to private and
clearly wants her emotions, thought and activities to be publicized.
Attention seeker imo. mainly of Kaine.

I think, also, it might be more of a blatant ‘in your face’ at TH. She’s rubbing in that she has contact with the family that was stolen from Terri.

I’ve seen where she did things specifically to cause TH heartache before.

I’m confused now that the sexting subject is brought up on Dr. Phil. I thought Blink stated that it was either Kaine posing as TMH, or posing as MC in those texts or there was a dispute to be able to prove it was even TMH herself…does anyone remember this and what was the verdict?

Im going to have to dig up that link as I do not want to misquote myself.

  24. rose says:

    an alternative to Phil’s Phiction:
every week I listen to the Big Broadcast, available anywhere on free Tunedin Radio app on WAMU. For one week only after a broadcast, one can hear it on their website. 9/18 has Gracie Allen just returning from campaigning as1st woman Pres candidate, and an interesting spot on Lord Has-Haw from WWII. (I have his followup on mind.)

I see I’m rather harsh on Kaine n Kristin. Just offensive imo Kaine doesn’t correct the facts known to mcso but lets her hang out there at the mercies of a baffoon like Phil, who like Lord Haw-Haw-II will do anything for an audience.

  25. A Texas Grandfather says:

Adding to Rose’s response to Kewl

Father could not have succeeded without help from the corrupt court and LE.

  26. rose says:

@sunshine, I’m not diligent like Blink, but I thought while TH in fact did that gruesome sexting fir whatever reason (what was worse was her comment we can’t let Houze know whatever), the technical point advanced was Rackner redacted the transcript in her Court filing (alleging Terri violated whatever Court order, but Rackner later dropped), and Kaine owned the phone and could’ve monkeyed with it, which I don’t think he did. But the bottom line is any fool knows Cook either by direction of Kaine or to curry favor with Kaine salaciously set this woman up big time.

Phiction Phil no doubt knowingly omits MC’s wife’s contemporaneous charge MC was a rampant drug abuser and womanizer. That tars friend Kaine, and lends motive, but also Terri.

Phil’s katu interview shows the path he’s walking down to increase his audience for Sept’s rating’s sweep, and it is not pretty.

I am left wondering why TH consulted no one who shoukd’ve advised her against this imo–Parents, Houze, and why she never considered the impact on her parents and James of this course of action?

    LOL Phiction.

I dont know the answer to that, except to say I am positive she knows what my advice would have been. I think she feels clearing up false info and getting Kyron’s name out is her goal regardless of venue.

  27. rose says:

the issue is not whether Phil broadcasts to a katu audience he thinks Terri’s demeanor screams guilt to him (or whatever)–that’s another gut and ear dx, like the little LE lady from OK who killed a man in cold blood with his hands high because her gut said he was “dangerous.”
The issue is facts, and imo Phil hasn’t got them, bcz mcso/da would no more divulge them to Phil than was done in the divorce. He’s gonna be devoud of facts & long on emotion/accusation.
Why has Phil treated Burke & Terri differently, oppositely, wrt demeanor? BczJohn Ramsey has a hx of suing and a hot shot tort atty Wood, and Terri has a history of zilch.
Someone in Terri’s position should no more appear on this show sans criminal atty than she would waltz into mcso sans attorney. We know Houze didn’t sanction this appearance because he would never accompany her, and some criminal attorney needed to.

  28. rose says:

I went back and read those sexts on OLive. I gave out before the end, but my take in retrospect is this
profane promiscuous “hook up” marital culture was likely common to both spouses and existed with bottom fishing available others willing to bed and chat sweet xrated nothings whether in Portland or Intel’s Sacramento area. (MC’s greatest point was his blatant solicitous, if not soliciting, availability, and his alleged (by wife) profane nature.
Such activities likely occurred on both sides over time.

  29. rose says:

gosh. Phil desperate for audience bump?
In imo what is really a minor media Market, Portland,
he’s now interviewed on koin after katu.

Youknow it is merely to pump ratings bcz his
interviews are before, not after, the show airs.
So katu & koin get the ratings pimp award.

This time his shocker is “she didn’t seem deaf to me.”
Why not just flash her last audiologist chart, or better yet
sensationally test her by an audiologist on the show?
Seems like he prefers his gut and own ear.

TMH came out and said publicly that the sexting between MC and her was accurate. Not sure how you missed this, but here:

She basically says she’s owning up to the sexting, says she’s owning it.

  31. T. Ruth says:

I keep hoping that someone, ANYONE, from the school will come forward with even a tidbit of info. As WS would say, “therein lies the rub”.

  32. rose says:

the Phil venue was and is guarenteed to not only
broadcast false info but give it credibility to the 50%
of the public who now opt out of eating skittles due to their

  33. rose says:

Are you sure Houze continues to rep her?
She said I asked him to speak for me,
    and he woukdn’t.
    That’s called a litigation strategy.
    Also called ethics.
If she wanted a bimbo lawyer
who’d do what a client in
jeopardy of life w/o parole requests,
she needed to hire G Allred.

I am absolutely certain Houze continues to represent Terri Horman.

  34. rose says:

whatTerri is good at, and is necessary for, is humanizing Kyron. telling people about his day–his classroomis here, we returned library books, we went to see his K teacher, etc. His everyday daily life, which his parents couldn’t do. Amazing neither parent had set foot in the school since the first day of K.

  35. thatkewlgirl says:

Not sure if this link has come out here yet, but it’s a Huffington Post video with the Dr P and TH… Direct answers about her having no knowledge of Kyron’s whereabouts, and absolutely pointing the finger at the LE in Portland!

  36. rose says:

I don’t get why any detective (altho River Patrol grads don’t really qualify) did not see TH’s info she had told Kaine she was unhappy in the marriage as completely exculpatory. Based on his behavior (affair, steroids, failing to go to school in 3 years)she was a slum dunk for full custody, the house, transirional alimony til k started school, and child support, in addition to asset division. What fool would take his child in a temper fit and sacrifice ALL that. If she’d told Desiree she’d informed Kaine, Tony’s ear and gut shoukd’ve realized the motive was all Kaine’s. Desiree was a slam dunk for custody too, no matter her past. This Kaine said no story line doesn’t fly.
But Terri shoukda been doing more than eating nutter butters preHouze. The bad thing wasn’t the sexting, it was the failure to hire a divorce attorney and be first to the Courthouse filing papers. Maybe she was in shock and griefstricken, but she shoukd’ve thought thru the fact Kaine was in fact listening and would use this loss to strike first.

  37. T. Ruth says:

“It was completely false,” Terri states. “From what I understand is that, he was threatened that if he did not cooperate the way that they wanted him to, he and/or his family would be deported.”

“from what I understand”, who told her this? Who told her that the RSE & family was threatened with deportation?

  38. rose says:

on promo excerpt, Terri says Portland LE is “politicalky” adjusting and people want to keep their jobs.
Unfortunately, for kyron and herself, things are worse. Reese is the Chief who did not declare the
school a crime scene and take jurisdiction, which he absolutely was supposed to do by intergovernmental contract between the County, PPS, and PPB but left it to the le agency without detective resources. . So his no 1 coverup incentive is for his own self and PPB. And Marshman is his buddy.
As long as Reese has the sextet of Kafoury, Underhill, Barker, Fish, Saltzmann, and Leonard in his corner, he’ll coverup til the moon is blue. Kafoury and Krew don’t give a fig wrt kyron’s abduction compared to homelessness, housing, govt services, and the budget. And iirc Leonard was in a CC position of power in 2010 and has plenty to cover up re the 2010 misspent investigation monies, as does Underhill. There won’t be a political correction benefitting kyron imo.

  45. Pansy says:

What is the reason Terri is coming forward to speak now after so many years of silence? I didn’t watch the interview, wondered if she mentioned getting the FBI to work on this.

Terri was advised not to speak to the media. I think within the last year she determined that if LE remained focused on her, she would never reunite with her daughter or look for Kyron. The way she was treated and the outcome took everything from her so she has nothing left to lose and she was willing to take the chance.

she didn’t. Rather, she relied on T to pick up K

Since at the time T cohabited with Kaine, she actually chose
T as sub mother for Kyron.
