Dr. Phil Show Hosts Missing Portland Child Kyron Horman’s Step Mom Terri Horman Over Two Episodes

I have been covering this case since Kyron Horman disappeared from Skyline School in June, 2010.    Like most missing persons cases I have covered in the past,  I am of the strong opinion that best efforts at the truth are the only way to propel investigations that, similarly to Kyron’s, have gone cold for one reason or another.   This approach has worked in resolving some of my previous cases.    I am proud of that.  I remain steadfast to the integrity involved in those and future cases.

Over the past 10 months (or so) I have been developing an updated series on Kyron’s case to include my multiple interviews with Kyron’s step-mom,  Terri Horman.   Needless to say as she was the subject of at least three simultaneous cases before an Oregon court and remains a person of interest by the agency investigating her sons disappearance, this has been an arduous and sometimes delicate journey.    Ms. Horman’s experiences during the ongoing investigation of the disappearance of Kyron Horman are critically important to propelling his case and with great hope- finding the truth about what happened to this cherubic and innocent child.    There are dozens of sources,  collateral interviews, forensic experts and legal analysts that also contribute to my series and have done so because of their belief that my motivation is to bring to light information and opinions in such a way that would almost “require” a focused review of Kyron’s case and the likely shaking of that proverbial tree everyone talks about.

Set to publish about 6-ish weeks ago I was asked to postpone the first installment of the series, which I did.  I subsequently learned Ms. Horman was participating in the Dr. Phil program after she completed taping.  Dr. Phils producers were well aware that Ms. Horman had interviewed with me extensively, and anticipated my series would be publishing information that was not known to the public previously in the days prior to her scheduled episode.    When Ms. Horman conveyed to me that she feels obligated to speak out about “her son” in any national medium that will have her,   I most certainly respected that.  I still do.

While Dr. Phil seems like a gregarious fellow for sure,   I have zero interest in being associated with his program, nor do I believe his shows content is designed to do any furtherance of investigation or truth.  There is much concern (although I have no affiliation to the show whatsoever) that the timing of the publication of my series on the Kyron Horman matter might be interpreted differently or inadvertently contribute to the programs content or audience reactions.     Not what I signed on for.   A missing 7 year old boy six years running is not a framework for entertaining a target audience.   He is not fodder for online social media bully campaigns- yet it occurs.

I will be publishing my series on Kyron’s case at a later date, in it’s entirety with no editing adjustments as a result of any of the appearances on Dr. Phil.   I appreciate your patience and your understanding.   Feel free to discuss the show below.

I am blown away, I actually thought there was a kidney transplant it did not make sense but I thought what kind of person would make that stuff up and perpetuate the lie via the news for a decade. The media in Portland must be a bunch of idiots to not (at least) have researched her claim.

DY did not have a kidney transplant and did not seek medical care outside the US for a kidney ailment. There’s a reason that she continues to be obtuse when asked about this. I have interviewed the person she moved to CA to live with and it’s my understanding he has told the FBI the same thing.

    ———————
That says that not only was DY lying about her Kidney transplant her whole family was in on the deception. What kind of people does that for 10 years no less. When a child is missing!

I do not feel MCSO can ever solve this case no matter who is ultimately in charge of Kyron’s case- if it is solved without recovery of Kyron, it will be through the FBI.

    ———————
It makes sense that law enforcement can’t get a handle on Kyrons case. Look at the people they have to talk to , Kyrons family! How can LE trust anything told to them by DY and her family to even be true? Since they will say what ever puts Terri in a bad light and DY in a good light true or not.

You gotta ask why Young or Horman think an ambitious political piece of work who’s never done criminal prosecutions would arrest much less try (v Houze) their alleged abductor in a 10 yo cold case? It would earn him no votes when he runs for AG or Gov whatsoever. He will measure everything he does as DA, in the limited time he remains DA, by whether it advances votes when he runs for AG when Ellen retires. His current political activities do. Using that measure, Young does not want to find Kyron if she does not demand transfer to the FBI now. We already know what Kaine does not want. Soldier as a Washington State resident lacks any competent case mgmt advice for Desiree.

any opinion on this hit job? wanted to say piece of crap but that’s too profane. https://youtu.be/JOeSkTMQUgk
I confess I stopped at 28:03. If I see R Morris yapping again, as Desiree repeatedly terms it–I’ll vomit. Even E Aradillas (People intvs) comes across poorly. Likely Lynne Terry got paid. Why else? & there is a 4th female narrator. The Canada thing was just a lil vacation break & Kaine agreed to keep Kyron for a night, but lo & behold–the kidneys. All about 8:00. Missing ATexasGrandfather. Hoping he did not pass. Anyway, these ppl are all freaks, tho I can’t judge Terri bcz she’s never spoken publically.

One thing I found unusual. When Kyron didn’t get off the bus, video says Kaine was so concerned he raced to school in the car with Terri (not that it was her impetus to go there). His personality would be to be oppositional to Terri’s concerns. he would say let’s go home & call around. He’s tamp down alarm to oppose Terri. So, if ge raced out of concern, he was aware of an external threat to his family due to his chequered behavior.

This is an article of interviews with Spokane’s US Repr about her disseminations on Facebook with stranger child abduction somewhere in mid-article. Seems to me if her voters are swayed to her beliefs, it risks harm regional LE’s investigations into the rare real stranger child abductjonz, as advocacy orgs apparently conclude as well. https://www.inlander.com/spokane/after-an-inlander-article-about-her-links-to-conspiracy-theory-websites-rep-jenny-graham-responds-with-profanity-threats-and-another-conspi/Content?oid=20239155

There’s been a new DA since July. He has no criminal prosecution experience. He is merely politically connected to kate Brown. This is a stepping stone for him to AG. then Gov.

googling kyron horman 2020, early up was Kyle’s July story re Rebecca Morris’ book headlined Multiple Witneses Saw Kyron Leave School with Stepmom. Morris is Desiree’s amanuensis. Desiree has continuously promoted this false storyline, contrary to MCSO evidence, for 10 years. Why? There may be an issue with her iq & capacity for abstract thought. To me, that’s not enough. Neither is the she wants to get Terri at any cost for marital revenge narrative.

Another way of looking at the deception: LE knew all of this a long time ago so the only people being deceived would be the interested public (us).

Since you are uncomfortable publishing Terri’s interviews with you–until “ripe”–did you have a sense after her X interview she had contradicted herself between her very public & your private interviews? That is, if she’d been under oath with you, the equivalent of perjury?

Excellent question Rose. I have not observed Terri contradict herself in her direct public comments/interview quotes to date re any similar subject matter I covered with her.

Fwiw, it remains my decision not to publish a piece that contains some of my interview material with her

So how is everyone, since the Covid-19 started I have not seen much posting on this site. Soldier is not even posting on her Facebook and as much as I don’t agree with her I hope everything in her household is OK. So how is Blink and everyone who posts here. We are OK just staying home and trying to avoid the covid germ, waiting for vaccine. HLN did a segment on Kyron but they barely mentioned Teri and they did not show only pictures of her that looked terrible. HLN did not say much about Dede. I have not heard of any movement on Kyron’s case.

  20. BOC Staff says:

Unfortunately, no. I will say that I remain concerned that a DEA agent participated in a LE “sting” with an individual/material witness who is not a US citizen (the issue is about that individuals constitutional rights, or lack thereof) and KH provided material information to the DEA prior to and following Kyron’s disappearance(facilitated by TH) which resulted in both new informants and charges/prosecutions.

Those factors absolutely raised Kyron’s risk assessment, therefore it’s reasonable (and priority) to investigate the possibility it was a motivation to someone.

  21. BOC Staff says:

Unfortunately no, the piece speaks for itself without any criticism from me.
Terri boarded the bus and spoke to the school from inside the bus. What continues to chap my shorts is that these “journalists” covering aspects of Kyron’s case don’t even bother to verify the obvious- Kyron’s bus had onboard video cams

  22. Rose says:

So Kyle Iboshi or any Oregonianreporter could have filed a
FOIA for the school bus video.

  23. Rose says:

Your comment re LE sting utilizing a DEA agent + the only (self-identified) material witness (not a citizen & in pursuit of legal status) is an operation way out of MCSO’s wheelhouse & likely the ADA-detailed manager’s Hapless Heidi too.

I think it was the Plan, & put together by, the then FBI field office director who inserted his face into many early command ctr pictures & who, hispanic, came up from Calif with a history of working drug cases there & in So America. Collaborating with DEA & an hispanic “stinger” who wants something was right up that FBI man’s alley. It is shocking he would taint his only (yet easily discredited) material witness.

  24. BOC Staff says:

I don’t know specifically OR or MC protocol for FOIA relative to those images/recordings that are not subject to public release or exempt by some other means, but considering they won’t even release the 911 call from the home prior to Kyron’s disappearance- doubtful, imo. I would also point out that in the most recent KH Iboshi interview you linked, KH states more than once that Kyron went missing from the school. A very divergent opinion from DY.

  25. BOC Staff says:

To my knowledge, that sting was MCSO and Underhill all day- FBI CARD and the SA (not posting his name) had already pulled out after expressing their doubts TH was responsible, among other concerns they had about MCSO investigative strategy/technique.

  26. Rose says:

Very presumptuous of MCSO & then Deputy DA Underhill
(assuming with Frink’s signoff) to rope in DEA & use their
only material self-identified witness that way. Cursory googling
suggests in 2010 a material witness could be arrested & detained
if his presence could not be secured by subpoena. Expect Rudy
was so threatened with arrest if he did not cooperate with Sting.
Would be easily discredited at trial by Houze.
