Jerry Sandusky Verdict Watch Breaking News: Jury Deliberating, Judge Cleland Dismisses Two More Counts, Sandusky Son Almost Prosecution Witness, Media May Not Release Verdict Before End of Full Reading And Adjournment

Bellefonte, PA- In a sua sponte order dated today, Judge Cleland dismissed two counts with prejudice after waiting for both the prosecution and defense counsel to bring it up on their own.   The issue was relative to victim #4 not testifying that an actual penetration occurred and therefore would not be supported by the victims testimony.

Sandusky is now facing 48 counts instead of the 52 he started with.

Read the Order Here.

Judge Cleland would have been required, had the jury found Sandusky guilty on those counts to set aside that particular verdict and made the decision the jury should not have to deliberate on the two counts knowing that regardless, he would be required to vacate them.

Sources inside the courtroom have confirmed the jury has received the deliberation instructions and is now deliberating the charges against Gerald Arthur Sandusky.

In what could be considered a stunning development,  Matthew Sandusky, the last child adopted by Jerry  and Dottie Sandusky, was set to be called as a witness for the prosecution if Jerry Sandusky were to take the stand in his own defense.  Matthew Sandusky, recently married and expecting his third child, contacted prosecutors once testimony began in the trial, although it has not been released what the content of Mr. Sandusky’s testimony was going to include.

Victim #4 testified that Matt was in the area when they began showering,  then appeared nervous and left,  prior to when the alleged assault occurred .   Matt Sandusky was expected to be a rebuttal witness.

Also today,  Judge Cleland warned the press their would be sanctions should anyone or any news outlet report the verdict prior to the court’s adjournment.  He ordered that the verdicts be read in full, and not gestures or alerts be received to any outside source .  Publications of the verdict and the courts timestamp would be reviewed, he warned.

Should be a quick one folks, check back to www.blinkoncrime.com for updates.

Jerry Sandusky Plays 52 Pick-Up And Hooked On Histrionics- Sandusky Once Again A Defense Coordinator, Prosecution Set To Throw A Rock Dottie Set To Take The Stand

Bellefonte, PA -The second week in the 52 count indictment trial of Gerald Sandusky began today with the prosecution reducing Sandusky’s 52 pick-up to 51.

Victim 7  allegations  involved in 4 of the counts against Sandusky was past the statute of limitations prior to 1997 for only one of the 4 allegations.

The prosecution rested its case following a gripping and heart wrenching testimony from the mother of a victim who had extensive stomach issues at the ages of 15-17 and would frequently discard bloody underwear following an involuntary sodomy encounter with Sandusky.  “I dealt with it”, he said.

Coordinating His Defense

Starting today, Sandusky suits up and gets off the bench.  Perhaps literally.

Sandusky Attorney Joseph Amendola alluded in his opening statement his client would testify.

The PA Attorney General’s Office contacting NBC Friday for an authenticated transcript of Jer’s interview with Bob Costas, appearing on Rock Center with Brian Williams last Friday seems to confirm the possibility.

Among the edited and un-aired version of the televised but edited interview are some of Sandusky’s “hooked on histrionics” examples.

Sandusky:  ”I’m a very passionate person in terms of trying to make a difference in the lives of some young people,” Sandusky said in the interview. “I worked very hard to try to connect with them. To make them feel good about themselves. To be something significant in their lives. Maybe this gets misinterpreted, has gotten depending on. … I know a lot of young people where it hasn’t. I have worked with many, many young people where there has been no misinterpretation of my actions and I have made a very significant difference in their lives.”

Costas : “But isn’t what you’re just describing the classic MO of many pedophiles?” he asked. “And that is that they gain the trust of young people, they don’t necessarily abuse every young person. There were hundreds, if not thousands of young boys you came into contact with, but there are allegations that at least eight of them were victimized. Many people believe there are more to come. So it’s entirely possible that you could’ve helped young boy A in some way that was not objectionable while horribly taking advantage of young boy B, C, D and E. Isn’t that possible?”

Sandusky : “Well — you might think that. I don’t know. In terms of — my relationship with so many, many young people. I would — I would guess that there are many young people who would come forward. Many more young people who would come forward and say that my methods and — and what I had done for them made a very positive impact on their life. And I didn’t go around seeking out every young person for sexual needs that I’ve helped. There are many that I didn’t have — I hardly had any contact with who I have helped in many, many ways.”

The excerpts that were edited and unaired during the “Rock” interview clearly confront the issues within the indictment in place at the time.  Bob Costas was not shy in forming his questions which were also well researched. (more…)

Jerry Sandusky Trial Begins: Witness 4 Says Dottie Sandusky Walked In- Amendola Commits Jerry Will Testify In His Defense- Histrionic Disorder Causes Love Letters To Kids

Bellefonte, PA-   The trial of Penn State’s claim to shame entrepreneur,  Gerald Arthur Sandusky began yesterday.

The victim, “just wanted a father figure,” McGettigan said, “but the defendant would spoon with him, put his hand down his pants, touch his genitals.”

- Prosecutor Joseph  McGettigan

The following is my editorial on day one.  Bring your air sickness bag.  It is promising to be that bad, and worse.

Witness (victim #4 ) testified to resorting to hiding in his closet with the phone after months of  alleged abuse by Sandusky.  13 at the time, He said the alleged assaults became as frequent as two to three times a week and lasted for about three years.  He weighed 90 lbs.

“I’d come home from school and look out the window and he’ d be there and I’d grab the phone and hide in the closet..”
Do your own math, I can’t stomach it.

He also claimed that Dottie Gross Sandusky walked in on him and Jerry during an assault.

Dottie-Gross-Sandusky.  You tell me- what’s in a name?

No sound sucking vortex overcame the courtroom.

No gasps.

Mrs. Sandusky, adoptive mother of 6 can say what she wants to those in town,  but at the end of the day, it is this authors opinion that Dottie will find herself a party to a legal proceeding or two of her own if she is not already.   I have had the opportunity to speak with a few locals last week off the record,  and the consensus was that Mrs. Sandusky is in supreme denial.  No doubt brought on by her husband’s recently diagnosed lack of consideration of others.

Backfields New Motion

Joseph Amendola claims Jerry Sandusky suffers from Histrionic Personality Disorder in a motion filed yesterday.

Is this a window to both Amendola’s defense strategy and laying the groundwork for leniency in the event (when) Sandusky is convicted by a jury of his peers?

Interesting that such a diagnosis surfaces now.  In offenses that stem since 1994- how consoling to know that Jer Sandusky was simply creating conflict in romantic relationships.   ( Author reminds readers that instructions to provide ones own air sickness bag appeared at the beginning of this piece).

ICD-10

The World Health Organization‘s ICD-10 lists histrionic personality disorder as:[9]

[A] personality disorder characterized by:

  • shallow and labile affectivity,
  • self-dramatization,
  • theatricality,
  • exaggerated expression of emotions,
  • suggestibility,
  • egocentricity,
  • self-indulgence,
  • lack of consideration for others,
  • easily hurt feelings, and
  • continuous seeking for appreciation, excitement and attention.

Perhaps I need to further inspect my friend and colleague pool.   I know like 20 people that qualify for all of those traits and not one of them is a pedophile, or an alleged pedophile, nor has any ever sought the sexual companionship of children.

Amendola would have done better to motion that Sandusky had obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) resulting in mutual showers after contact with children of “abstract backgrounds”.   I mean, disadvantaged children in the foster care system should shower more frequently as well, right?

McGettigan also produced a contract between a victim and Sandusky (via The Second Mile) that guaranteed the victim up to $1000 in college expenses if he kept his grades up.   The Second Mile does not promote unsupervised visits with it’s participating children and therefore the contract would be invalid.

Um, someone maybe should check the handbook- every one of this victims over 15 years came from The Second Mile and everyone of the alleged atrocities were committed sans “supervision”.
