Portland, OR– Late today, prior to a previously scheduled hearing at 3PM PST, an agreement was reached between the attorneys for Kaine Horman and Terri Horman.
KOIN reports:The dispute between Terri Horman and Kaine Horman has been settled and she will move out of the couple’s Northwest Sheltered Nook Road home Saturday by 3 p.m.
Also on Koin6, via email from Kaine Horman-
When asked via email by KOIN if he believes Terri had something to do with Kyron’s disappearance, he wrote: “I believe at some point she will be arrested.”

Once again I was reading over at Oregonlive.com it seems to be a very busy comment section over there and very angry, mean people. I did however see this and thought it very interesting considering what you said Blink. The person might place themselves in the middle of this and be watching everything news, online and such. This was apparently posted over there by someone and also directed at someone. Really strange in my opinion but maybe someone here can read it over and over and find something in it or maybe it is someone playing games. This is a very sick thing for someone to post but it had to be a sick person to take our little Kyron.

I hope Le has checked out all equipment from surrounding rental stores and landscapers.A person on Topix brought up the idea that Terri and another person could have gone to extreme measures to get Kyron out of Terri’s life. This is not my opinion as I really hope Kyron comes home safe.But it is an avenue inwhich Le needs to check into.It is sad how Kyron is slowly disappearing from the front line and Terri is getting all the attention. This little guy needs to be found like 6 weeks ago. Prayers for Kyron….

@MyStarz- I appreciate your observations and input. Yes…yes…if one was going to plan a crime, and was aware of the ability to track through cell pings…which she probbbbably is, since she appears to have read various blogs, and watched various shows…yes, one would definitely ping in an area where the evidence was NOT. Hmmmmm.
I also agree with your assessment about her sitting back, being quiet, so as to play the part of the victim. That works to convince a few people. I think that things like the smug look,looking away arrogantly, those play against her. She is not walking around, her head hung in fear or sadness, she is walking around arrogantly. Her posture, her demeanor, all arrogant. Her refusal to make eye contact, to speak, anything. She’s not doing too well with that acting.
All I care about is that they find Kyron, at this point. The world will deal with Terri Horman. She can’t beat this. She is probably safer in prison than out on the streets. She has been branded a child murderer, by public opinion, and her own actions have convicted her.
For those who disagree, that’s your opinion, and you have a right to it…it’s pretty clear that the predominant public opinion is that she is responsible.
Once again- Cut a deal, Terri. Get yourself into PC, while you still can. If they find him without your help, you’ll have MUCH less leverage to bargain with. Bring Kyron Home!
Also, with regard to the term “witch hunt,” just because it’s being hunted doesn’t mean it’s not a witch.
I was searching for pictures of Kyron’s Wall and came across some photobucket pictures detailing the Skyline elementary school and surrounding area. The photos made my heart sink. Nice school, older and it seemed quite secluded, a lot of enterances (exits) and very woodsy and hilly. I had pictured an elemtary school like my child attends, middle of a neighborhood, no forest, where it would be obvious to see anyone leaving. At Skyline, it seems that someone could have left with Kyron without anyone really taking notice, walked into woods, bushes to hide in and wait, even TH could have left without much notice.
Yesterday I took the time & I read all the comments hopeinva and insintel had posted on Oregonlive site. I must say that alot of the posts made sense. Some of the nagging questions regarding 06/04 & the days leading up to were given an answer; truth or not. I did not like, but yet have to accept, that if it was her biochild she would do what ever had to be done during the day to assist in finding her child and go home and be in a fetal position on the floor crying, yet does not have that feeling towards anyone else; step, niece/nephew or anyother. Is this feeling not the same as say someone who is witnessing a tragedy unfold & get their camera out and records it? as opposed to puttng the camera down and helping? I have always wondered when I see these clips by that persons inaction would the outcome have changed? I did not like Kaines comment yesterday(?) that if she could not have Kaine killed than the next best thing would be to hurt his child. Next Best! if someone wanted to hurt me I beg you, kill me, spare my child! I suppose I am trying to say, is it possible that Kaine was a swinger and he had ticked someone off? A childs life is at stake and that avenue has to be looked at. What about Kaines brother and what is says about the likelihood of Kaine being abused as a child. What about Kyrons best friends interview, with his family having a home on Sauvie Island. the landscaper, Illegal alien wanting citizenship? &/or where are the properties he took care of and are any of these homes on the island and are any foreclosed on that would be vacant? What about Kyrons Doctors appt.? was he being abused and that appt would have set off the alarm? What about Kaine having people in Kyrons romm after 06/04 and having people play/touch Kyrons things (good vibe thing) I would think that he would want to preserve his room for scent items. I believe that perhaps Kaine is a controller and that he does present as a much tighter wrapped package than TH and due to this I pray LE is looking at ALL possible scenerios as opposed to looking soley at TH. I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Do I think Kaine had 1st hand involvement In Kyrons disappearance? Not there yet. Yet I do believe truth is somewhere in the middle. With all my heart I want/need to believe that this is a ransom abduction and that he is still out there alive needing to be rescued.
She can stay as silent as she wants but there is a cold hard eye staring directly at her and she feels it. It will follow her forever until she sets herself free with the truth.
I think I would give a scent article to Harry Oakes if I were Kyron’s family. I wouldn’t care that Oakes is no longer a part of law enforcement. I would want anybody and everybody looking for my child. If you remember, when he first started searching, one of Harry’s dogs gave a death alert somewhere on Sauvie Island. Earlier in the investigation I saw a rumor in print that LE may have found Kyron’s glasses out there. Have you heard this, Blink? I am just so worried that he is somewhere on Sauvie.
I also hope LE is continuing to put pressure on the LS. He may have some answers.

To Lazydog1 re: the eskimo. Early on in the investigation, LE admitted they are monitoring all the blogs and internet comments on this case. This is not unusual for an investigation.

I think TH is going to have a very estranged life for awhile.
Roseburg is a small town and I am sure that her face is going to be well know that community. However, there is probably a fair amount of redneck men that would enjoy doing some sexting if she gets bored.
I am a Michigander but this story has captured my interest from the beginning. I fear it will be like the Natalee Holloway case–no final resolution but an obvious outcome. My prayers go out for the family.
Another case in the NW has intrigued me–Shantina Smiley. To those of you who live up there I ask, is it feasible that the son’s body washed ashore but her’s didn’t? Their strange backroad odyssey and ending up half submerged in water is just so bizarre. What do you locals think happened? Thanks!
What if there actually was a MFH plan that Terri suddenly decided against? As I’ve seen suggested perhaps the LS was angered and took Kyron to hold until he received money. If Terri couldn’t come up with the money, maybe the glasses were mailed with a threatening note. If so, I would imagine Terri is scared to death. If this is related to some gang members what would LE expect her to do? Could it be she knows she’s done wrong but also is petrified to say anything for fear of others being hurt as well? Where is that cute little boy? God bless.

There is every indication that this woman was involved with abducting (etc…) Kyron. There is NO evidence that Kaine Horman is a swinger, or anything else of the sort. How warped is it for people to make accusations with NOTHING? I don’t care who Kaine Horman has sex with, doesn’t matter. But that woman definitely appears to be involved.
It really pisses me off when I see folks defend a perp, and attack a bereaved parent. I swear to God, I’d fight for the guy, at this point. There is NOTHING to implicate him in this. You do make an excellent point, in urging that “every avenue” is investigated. I think that LE should be careful (pretty sure they are) not to have tunnel vision. Terri may just be a despicable narcissist, rather than a child abductor/killer. It could be random, or someone who hated or envied a family member.

Has anyone here ever studied renaissance art? Terri Horman looking up at Desiree with “that look” is so out of a renaissance painting. It is the look of a traitor, someone who has betrayed a trust. Judas is often depicted in a similar posture. Hanging all over Christ, looking up at him. That face, though…the look, it is one particular painting out of history (renaissance period). It’s so telling. I’ve seen a painting with a traitor who has that look on their face. Might have been the Vatican Art Collection…I can’t place it just yet. In looking very quickly, I found one such painting. Look at the second painting down, and you will see a resemblance in posture and facial expression. It’s not as obvious as the painting that the picture of Terri reminds me so much of, but there is that resemblance. It reminds me of the statement “throughout the course of history, a few great stories are repeated,” which was a reference to the timelessness of Les Miserables (Hugo). So, it is also true, that throughout the course of history, there have been traitors, those who would betray, then try to hide, and/or lie about it.

This wicked evil step mother looks more and more like the mother of Jon Bene Ramsey. She is really getting the shaft and all the pressure in an investigation that seems to be public or just pretends to be. The problem with everything now being presented about the step mother makes her out to be a real manic depressive. Her apparent inappropriate hyper sexuality makes her much less a suspect than she is being made out to be. Her whereabouts and deceptions seem to be a normal part of her every day mania upswing cycle days. She is probably still very much overly attached to Kyron. At the time of the disappearance it does not seem like she had to worry about losing Kyron that she should need to abduct him. The bit about abducting her daughter would be a natural reaction of most mothers with a restraining order removing the child from them. The post partum depression sounds like the down swings of normal manic depressive disease behavior. Kyron disappeared in what seems to be the mania upswing and not the depressive phase so that just makes her less a suspect. She was out to find sex when her husband was at work. It makes sense she would want to drop him off at school early and be rid of him so she could run around exercising her mania. The bit about her having a third grade criminal mind sounds like total nonsense and it is questionable if the story about the proposed landscaper hit on her husband was something concocted by someone enjoying the media circus atmosphere that is developing around the case.
Here is an interchanging photo slideshow gif. It load differently after the eagle seen below under “activities” on the site. Some Internet arm chair crime sleuths with semi psychic powers saw something distrubing in these photos immediately.. This photo holds al real interesting clue . Actually more than one clue. This guy needs to be investigated and needs a sequence of lie detector tests. The photo comes from the skyline school staff web page on the Internet/ pps. you can find it and more subtle clues. This photo is showing you something, besides that the police seem to be protecting the reputation of the school and the school district instead of investigating them. Something in this photograph is right there in front of your face. I did not see it initially until someone showed it to me. Now i can’t help but see it and it is disturbing. Very disturbing. This guy needs to be investigated. See if you can see what is wrong in the picture. Do you know who this person is?
And for a clue notice whose photos occurr frequently among male children. Children with glasses similar to Kyron. Lots of kids to choose from and girls who don’t make much eye contact with the camera and boys wearing glasses like kyron’s. study these photos and you too will have a new top suspect in this case. Not the photographer. we don’t know who that is in the one photo? Maybe the photographer? The school should be a major target of the investigation . Look at the boys who get top billing in this slide show gif!
Oh and there are even more people on real probation at this little school house that you are not supposed to know about.,,,
And a new news flash. There is a big discrepency in the school’s story about when they noticed Kyron was missing. Did you read this yet in the various timelines and compare the statement of Susan Hall , the school secretary , and her telephone record? She is calling the mother in Medford at 4:25 and the KGW time line says it is 3:45 that the step mother alerted the school that kyron was not on the bus. Is there a transcript that says she thinks he is lost or does she believe he might be getting a ride from someone or might just be back at school? The original time line says the school told the step mother that kyron was checked in “absent”. I recall the school called 911? The biggest search for a missing person in state history by some reports begins. When did the call to 911 go out? 3:45? why does the secretary call a long distance phone number as an emergency contact when she does? The school originally does not have kyron listed as absent and witnesses had seen him at the school before classes began. The school secretary knows that students can find alternative means of transportation home with friends or their parents, teachers from this little remote school and not be on the regular school bus? There is something really fishy about the school and how fast it went into self protection mode that day. Who else might this secretary called between 3:45 and 4:25 maybe the whole school office phone record should be made public? It is curious how fast this became a missing person case if the school was not checking other possiblities first. Medford? The father’s work number is not listed as a contact number for emergencies?
Don’t forget to look at the photo fixation of children with glasses like kyron wears on the school website….

Seems to me there are still a lot of huge gaps in what the public knows about this case; I don’t see how anyone can be drawing conclusions at this point unless they have genuine inside knowledge.
I hope against hope that Kyron is still alive …. but the sick feeling in my gut is not going away.

Thank you for clarifying. I was also wondering who the man was in the photo. Sometimes I have a really hard time remembering new faces and I do not always watch the news on TV, or online clips right now because I am on dialup connection — can’t afford cable right now.
I am strugging looking for work after earning a degree — like so many others in this country. While many states are struggling, I don’t think Oregon really has been a thriving state — but I think the powers that be want it that way IMO. More government jobs than private sector. Not good. Measures 66 and 67 further complicating that problem I think.

Why would she kidnap Kyron and be keeping him safe somewhere versus kidnapping and hiding Kiara? Kiara is ALL HERS whereas Kyron is not.

The person who pointed out this website was trying to emphasize that no girl in any photo was wearing glasses. The boys that were seemingly “featured” in the photos, were wearing glasses. Some of the girls in the photos did not show any eye-contact so to speak with the person taking the picture. And I think that the close-up photo of the small boy wearing glasses with the paper beard on was one of the photos that the poster wanted people to focus on.
I wish I knew what Susan saw. The close-up photo gave me the chills. There is another photo that seems to feature another boy with glasses. Then I think there are a few boys with glasses carrying the log — including the child in front. But there is not a single girl wearing glasses.
And as far as symbolism is concerned, the image of the Eagle to the direct left of the children’s photos seems to be in a predatory position, as if to snatch its prey. Why can’t they at least show a soaring Eagle — as if to reach new heights in life? I included caps for a reason from the Wikipedia segment below.

I have looked at the photos and see nothing except pictures of kids in school doing what kids do. So big deal several of the kids wear glasses. I’m sure you could go to several different websites and see something that doesn’t look right.
Well you can type a big comment and then hit one wrong key and your entire blog disappears. I hate that.
Anyway, Mackiezmom I agree it’s fascinating that the one photo of TH looking up at DY has the traitor look of Judas. But the expression says something else to me also. It looks as if she’s saying “It wasn’t supposed to happen like this.” It actually looks like something unexpected did happen and her plan went wrong.
Here’s my logic and HO: TH tried to hire someone to off Kaine 6 months ago, but may have realized she couldn’t pull it off without getting caught and that’s why she didn’t go through with it. So one might assume she has some devious cleverness about her. If we assume that is true, then if she has even one functioning neuron in her head, she KNOWS her time had to be accounted for when Kyron went missing. And also she watches crime shows. It doesn’t make sense to me that she just took him and did something to him and now she can’t account for her time. That’s just beyond lame. It makes MORE sense that she planned it out and had help, and that she went one way and the helper went another way with Kyron. This WAS her MO. The cell phone pinging is also beyond lame. I realize LE had to check SI because that’s where it pinged, but I think she either met someone there (an affair? would be a good alibi and would certainly add drama, which she seems to thrive on) or just left the phone there to throw LE off. Something went wrong with whomever helped her. Maybe the intent was only to scare Kaine or get money from him, but the helper panicked. Or maybe the helper truly was supposed to dispose of Kyron. Or maybe Kyron IS alive somewhere, and the helper can’t make a move to let him go because the helper will then be caught. At any rate, I will be surprised if Kyron is found on SI right where her cell phone pinged. I think it is more likely a hiker or jogger may find him some day, somewhere else. The “helper” is definitely the key. And another very good point someone made, if the perp doesn’t use the information she/he has as a bargaining chip and Kyron is found without the perp’s help, then the perp will have NOTHING and will get the very worst that can be given out.
I googled that name a few days ago because he had commented a couple of times with a strong viewpoint, tho honestly now i cannot even remember what it was. I was able to find a Richard A McQuade in Gresham, OR which is suburb north/east of Portland.
I’ve asked this before, and if it was answered I’m truely sorry to repeat myself. Is it fact that Kyron’s glasses were found? If so is it fact that they were mailed to the house? I can’t find anything about it other than other’s referring to this as fact. If there’s a link I’d love to read it.

I agree. If she wanted a child to take off with , it would be Kiara. Something went wrong with her plans for Kyron – whether he was used as a source of ransom money or if she was hiding him away from Kaine for his safety. The problem w/Kaine and the safety issue is she could have disclosed this info to DY , LE and FBI and she did not appear to as DY is still speaking to KH and tells the media she believes Terri to be responsible for Kyron’s disappearance and to come clean about what she knows.I’m still thinking it was for payment for her MFH scheme.
@AG’s Mom, the photo with the principal carrying the log, with the other boys, look at the last child carrying the log on the left side, it is a boy with a cap and dark glasses superimposed into that photo. Spooky. In the supposed Halloween photo, the picture of the child with the beard covering his mouth is spooky enough, but look at the person bending over, and the position of another child’s hand, and some arrow or line inserted. Photoshopped evidently, but why?
Was it the photographer who took the photos the one who inserted these elements? or some sicko later? I searched for the school website and found the new one, with an artistic school drawing on the home page, not photos of the students. There was also a comment about the new website being the one to use.
The original website which you linked to was still up this am, and I checked the photos in the actual site, and they have the two bizarre images which I mentioned, as to rule out the craigslist poster doctoring the site and posting it. Those images are in the actual
school website.
The photo of ‘all boys’ with the principal, the odd spooky one of the boy with mask partially covering his mouth, the strange tone of all of the other photos, and then the two bizarre images I mentioned that I saw, the person bending over, photoshopped, and the inserted shadow child in the log photo. Something is not right with that school website.

I think the Skyline pictures are actually on their new website. While the pictures may be poorly chosen (why more than one pic of the same child?) and especially very oddly cropped (teacher butt, for example), I don’t find them creepy or disturbing.
Reading the article about Diane Downs, http://blogs.wweek.com/news/2010/07/15/how-long-could-it-take-to-close-the-kyron-horman-case-ask-diane-downs/ has given me a new outlook on this case. I have also been paying attention to other cases that I see on 48 hours and such, and often when a person is uncooperative, or blames a crime on a 3rd person, it seems that these cases drag out and an arrest isn’t made for months, or even a year or more. Of course there is always the fear of a case running cold, and I think that’s what brings so much attention to this one. We all want the truth, and ultimately, justice for Kyron. There is still “hope” that he is alive and so that begs for an answer and quickly. But at this point it seems so very unlikely.
I believe that the person that spoke about double jeapordy hit the nail on the head. They get one shot to get a conviction for TH. They can’t jump the gun and risk losing. I feel that we may not see an arrest for quite some time. Each new week we are hopeful for one, and each week we continue to get trickles of information that seems to be more about patterns of Th’s character, rather than “clues” to where Kyron is. I can only be hopeful that LE is building strong case and that in time either TH or another will crack and lead us to Kyron, and that eventually when the time is right, TH will come clean and an arrest will be made. I certainly don’t think she is going without punishment right now. But as difficult as it is, I think we must have patience, because it would be a crime in and of itself by not getting enough evidence on TH, taking her to trial and watching her walk away, assuming that she is guilty, (which I do).
The other part that is so bittersweet when I think about it, is right now KH/DY/TY have hope that Kyron is still alive. It will be a sad, sad day for all of us if/when that hope is dashed. My heart breaks for DY, I try to keep that hope alive for her and at the same time wish her closure and answers.

I have to agree with LBP….unless they have changed the pictures since your original post, I saw plenty of close-ups of girls as well as girls looking directly into the camera on the school website. Granted, there were no girls with glasses, but might I suggest that girls might be more likely to take their glasses OFF before having their picture taken? Most elementary-aged children wear glasses for nearsightedness, so they may not necessarily need their glasses unless they are looking at the board. I wore glasses as a child, but not anymore than I HAD to. I always kept my case nearby to stash them away. I would think girls might be more self-conscious about the way they look in glasses and therefore might take them off when being photographed.
I really didn’t feel like the photos reflected an obsession with boys wearing glasses. In the log picture, there were just as many boys WITHOUT glasses as with glasses. Further, pictures of girls outnumbered pictures of boys on the website by a ratio of about 3:2. Just my observations — maybe I am missing something!

These photos don’t look spooky to many of us, so you might want to copy these and take them to your next health care provider’s appointment and express your concerns.

I don’t understand what is so creepy about the picture of the boy wearing the felt beard? Judging from another child in the background who is wearing a black top-hat, my guess is that they were doing some sort of a play or project related to Abraham Lincoln. Children this age love to dress up and wear costumes, so I don’t know what is spooky about a boy donning a fake beard for the camera when it is obviously part of an overall class theme or project. I also am not seeing the evidence that the picture is photoshopped. My impression is that a teacher is bending over to help a child who is outside of the picture, and that a child in the background is sort of turned around in his chair with his hand resting on the back of the chair. And I don’t see any line or arrow….what am I missing??

I see part of a building in the background (grey roof with dark windows) behind the boys carrying the log, not “a superimposed child in a cap with dark glasses”
I do not see any arrows or lines “photoshopped” onto the photo with bearded boy/person bent over; it just looks like part of the back of a chair or something (wooden art supply caddy?) on the desks. More confusing to me is what the kids were dressing up as… It does *not* look like they’re dressing up for Halloween (skeletons, monsters, superheroes, princesses, etc.)
I agree the school website photos are not the most compelling, but there’s no crime in that….
Just wondering–is anyone else here thinking what I’m thinking, i.e. some of these posts are contrived, possibly in a thinly-veiled attempt to decoy the pursuers onto the wrong trail?

Just one more comment about the pictures….I’m not so sure that the last “boy” carrying the log isn’t just part of a branch sticking out from the log itself. “He” or “it” is so far back in the picture that it is hard to tell, but the log does seem to have some natural variation in color that would match the color of the “mask” and “sunglasses” that they mysterious “boy” is wearing. I could be wrong, though.
@Andy: try enlarging the image or using a magnifying glass, maybe you will then see the image of a person in cap and raybans standing behind long haired boy.

You are correct, I tried enlarging the image as Susan suggested and it is most definitely a building in the background. The “raybans” are simply windows, the “cap” is the roof of the building, and when enlarged you can even see that there is part of a leafy tree branch between the two windows (or “eyes”).

There is a neighborhood in Portland called Sunnyside.
This goes along the same lines I was thinking. If Rudy Sanchez is somehow related to Kyron’s disappearance, maybe there are some clues in Clackamas county, i.e. the Sunnyside, Clackamas, Oregon City, or Canby area.
@CCmakes3, Ceci: the choice of those photos looks very odd to me, thats all, a caricature of a hooded face with dark glasses, or not, in one, a teacher’s behind, with the child’s pencil in an odd position. Don;t know if someone was having fun in an off way, or if the choice of the photos was just naively very very bad, expecially the haunting one of the boy with felt beard.
Reading more into the original post, it talks about one of the staff pages, which we do not have access to.
@ Nancy Drewtoo, I also had a similar idea, would someone be playing with the school website, in order to take some of the heat off of TH? Attorneys have been known to do such things to create reasonable doubt.

Thank God we are all entitled to our opinions and observations! Frankly, the original poster was also seemingly trying to say that there are many staff members that are perhaps questionable! There was more than merely pictures to look at.
I tend to listen to people who live in Oregon that go against the status quo. More often than not, they have something worth listening to. I’m not from here, but I think there are many dark secrets that people are often afraid to press forward.
I questioned my daughter’s school why they would be soliciting my 5-year-old for a cheerleading camp at a local university. If I want my daughter in cheerleading, I know where to find that information — just like any other parent who wishes to engage their children with. There is more junk mail in my daughter’s back-pack than there is in my mailbox.
When I complained to the school about this flyer, I was told to contact the school district. I spoke to the woman who was responsible for approving this flyer at the district, and she told me that she, herself, had questioned it and that it was a poor judgement on her part. WELL — guess what? Just before the end of that school year, it wound up in her backpack again! I phoned the district again, and this time spoke with a higher up. I won’t go into details, but we argued over the appropriateness of this material — and I later won the argument by saying that it was no longer a non-profit event when there was a local photographer taking pictures of very little girls for profit. Totally and completely inappropriate. There is more, but I decline to give more.
I’m not a native to Oregon, and in all my life, I have never had to continually go up against the unthinkable. NOTHING would surprise me here. The story I have given is merely timid compared to others I could tell. I’m usually the parent that speaks up while others look the other way.
