The Crime Review 2011

January-  David Anthony Durham shoots police officer after playing hookie from work in anticipation for an arrest, his house is located in the grid search for missing 7 year old Kyron Horman.  **Unsolved, **Unrecovered

February- “Onda” Chris George- featured in a cold case investigative report in November 2010, Chris was recovered on February 21, 2011 .  **Unresolved Possible Homicide

April 1 2011- Successful prosecution and life sentence of James Hattaway.  No April Fools joke.  Hattaway, a suspect in the disappearances of Onda Chris George,  and Tracy Ocasio, was convicted of attempted murder of Rachael Clark .

The alarming violent abduction of 20 year old student Holly Bobo.   Miss Bobo has not been located and their have been no updates by the TBI in her case for several months.  No named person of interest  in the case.  **Unsolved, **Unrecovered

May- Terrorist leader Osama bin Laden is executed upon refusal to surrender by US Navy Seals.

May/July- The trial of Casey Anthony resulting in her acquittal in all changes except 4 counts of lying to police.  Ms. Anthony has been renamed the C-word by www.blinkoncrime.com and recently released her first video diary as a blonde with a really bad cut.

June- Disappearance of Jacque Waller, wife of former cop and general con man Clay Waller.  Jacque has not been recovered, but Clay is in prison on  unrelated charges currently and the couple’s children are in the custody of Jacque’s family.    According to Clay’s dad , he has already confessed to her murder.

June -Successful prosecution resulting in a life sentence for the murder of Christine Sheddy, a 5 part cold case series developed in 2010 and featured on BOC for the purposes of progressing her case.  Justen Hadel, one of the primary suspects in the case ending up confessing, and our information was correct that Christine was murdered on the Byrd road property.   I spent a day on in 105 degree weather followed by a mini-hurricane on this hell-hole property I will never forget.  I continue to seek justice in the hope a prosecution will follow for Clarence Jackson and Tia.

July/August 2011- Celina Cass missing, and recovery of her remains.  While it is presumed a homicide, her cause of death has not been determined or released.  Wendell Noyes, her stepfather is the only non-official person of interest. Celina’s mother left him while he underwent psychiatric care upon the news of Celina’s recovery.  It is my solid opinion that Wendell is involved in Celina’s death and disposal of her remains in a water treatment ().  There have been no arrests or indictments in this case to date.

August 19, 2011.  West Memphis Three-  Two days after I wrote a series about the murders of 3 8 year old boys in June of 1993 by 3 teenage boys known as the West Memphis Three,  all three plead guilty to an alford plea after the state agreed to a deal proffered by the defense team, funded by the Hollywood elite.  So far, Reese Witherspoon has been cast as Pam Hobbs, mother of Stevie Branch.  In November, the parents wrote a letter to the Chair of the AMPAS documentary committee asking that they not con sider the HBO commissioned Paradise Lost 3, Purgatory for an award.  We featured the entire letter as a front page on the site, in support.

September 2011-  The Susan Powell case-  The roller coaster of we found remains, wait, not remains, but former remains in burned wood chips.  The subsequent arrest of Susan’s freak in law

October 2011- The disappearance of Karen Swift, mother of four.  Karen was located on December (), and has yet to have her autopsy completed or her remains released.  Sheriff Box of the Dyer County Sheriffs Office has not named a suspect, but it is widely known that the primary person of interest is David Swift, Karen’s recently estranged husband.

Missing 10 month old Lisa Irwin- No new anything in this case, since Joe Tacopina of Joran VanDerSloot fame took the case to represent the parents.  A lead developed from Deb Bradley’s phone produced a juggalo chic whose phone was called in what is believed to be in the middle of the alleged crime, and did ping close to the Irwin residence.  Megan Wright’s former boyfriend known as Jersey was subsequently arrested for tampering with a vehicle.  She claims not to know anything in the case and that her phone was used by several members of a household she was since asked to leave.

Amanda Knox Acquittal- what many did not know about the prosecutor will change most of your opinions in this case.  Blink dubs Giuliano Mignini  “The Mike Nifong” of Perusia.

November/December: The Nittany Nightmare-

Over 40 counts of child sexual abuse are filed in an indictment against former PSU offensive coordinator and Second Mile founder Jerry Sandusky.  Tim Curley and Gary Schwartz are indicted and held for trial for perjury in their grand jury testimony.  Mike McQueary stands firm in his testimony during the preliminary hearing.  Blink uncovers a possible insurance scandal paying the legal bills.

Suspect In Missing Persons Cases Ocasio and George- James Hataway Told Witness He Makes People Disappear

Casselberry, FL- James Hataway,  a named suspect in the disappearance of missing Ocoee woman Tracy Ocasio, and formerly missing, now recovered Onda “Chris” George, allegedly threatened a potential witness in the current attempted murder charges against him in Seminole County.

In a motion filed by the prosecution to use the statements as “similar facts evidence”, Francisco Arrellano claims Hataway told him “he would disappear” if he ever crossed him, after Hataway shared a story about a sexual encounter where he choked a woman for arousal.

Shortly after Hataway was arrested on unrelated charges, Mr. Arrellano sent Blink, Editor In Chief, www.blinkoncrime.com a message he received under his myspace name Requiem from a mutual friend and roommate:

Jury selection in James Hataway trial in Seminole County begins next week.

Hataway has not been charged in either the George or Ocasio missing persons cases.  Tyler Watters,  a friend of Hataway and the last known person to see Chris George alive,  is currently facing drug trafficking charges in Orange County.

Onda “Chris” George is awaiting positive identification through the FBI laboratory in Quantico, VA.

Tracy Ocasio, last seen with Jimmy Hataway at The Tap Room, in Orlando, has not been located.

Chris George Recovery: Remains Sent For DNA Testing, Drivers License And Jewelry Found

Apopka, FL- Missing Winter Garden man, Onda ” Chris” George, is believed to have been recovered from the Carter Lake area of Apopka.

The location is not far from where the primary person of interest in his case,Tyler Watters, as reported exclusively by blinkoncrime.com, was last seen by a witness that picked him up there, and dropped he and Jimmy Hataway off again, within 30 minutes.

Chris DL

In the fourth day of recovery efforts by Apopka Police, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and The Orange County Medical Examiner, George’s wallet containing his FL drivers license and jewelry he had been wearing at the time of his disappearance has been retrieved.

Both were  identified by Chris’s Mother, Rachael George, who has stood vigil at the site alongside Liz Ocasio, the Mother of Missing Ocoee woman, Tracy Ocasio.

..I think Chris has been found, and for the most part, after over 2 years, we wait for DNA results to tell me what I already know.  I continue to ask Apopka Police to request Orange County Sherriff’s Office detectives to participate in this case, as is protocol.  I cannot disclose the investigative reasons for same, but we feel it is appropriate and I am hopeful my request will be acted upon, finally. – Rachael George

Yesterday afternoon Rachael George identified jewelry that her son Chris is believed to have been wearing the evening he was last seen, as shown previously exclusively on www.blinkoncrime.com.  Ms. George was shown a cell phone image from one of the detectives on the scene.

Chris George Search: Human Remains Recovered Was Tip By Orange County Felon On Sentencing Day

Posted by BOC Staff | Adam Vied,Chris George,James Hataway,Rachael George,Tracy Ocasio,Tyler Watters | Tuesday 22 February 2011 7:57 pm

Today, Apopka Detectives are confirming a substantial amount of remains have been found, but as www.blinkoncrime.com reported last evening, a source close to the investigation speaking on the condition of anonymity, has confirmed a cell phone matching the model of that last in Chris George’s possession was also found. Crews are likely to remain for as long as two weeks for a full recovery effort.

At the scene before 8:00 a.m., Chris’ mother, Rachael George, stood vigil at what likely may have been her son’s burial grounds before the search and recovery teams arrived to excavate the site.

Ms. George was escorted to Apopka Police for a briefing this afternoon. In her absence, mother of missing Ocoee woman Tracy Ocasio, also linked to Jimmy Hataway, stayed as a show of solidarity between the two women and their missing children.

On February 11, 2009, Chris George was last known to be in the company of Tyler Watters, currently awaiting trial on trafficking heroin charges. Earlier that day he was known to have been with Jimmy Hataway. Hataway is awaiting trial in Seminole County on an attempted murder charge.

Although there is a pending motion for the disclosure of a confidential informant in Watters case, it is not known if there is any relevance to recently reported tips in Chris’s case. Neither Watters nor Hataway has been charged in relation to Chris George’s disappearance.

What prompted the search of the area previously searched over a dozen times by Apopka detectives?

Sources say, the tip comes from a friend and neighbor of Tyler Watters appearing for sentencing yesterday in drug trafficking charges.

blinkoncrime has learned that the tip to cause Apopka Police to head back to Carter Lake likely came from Adam Vied, who was due in court yesterday in Orange County.

Vied was arrested on trafficking in Dilaudid and Oxycodone charges in November 2009 along with Raymond Meeks, an Ocoee man who is currently incarcerated following his sentencing for the charges in January, 2011. Vied spent 7 years in prison for what was originally an attempted murder charge, which he successfully plead down to aggravated battery in 1997.

The night Chris George went missing, Watters told detectives Chris took him to his Grandmother’s house on Caballero In Ocoee so Watters could shower and change clothes.

Chris was never seen again and both Watters and Hataway have admitted to removing and cleaning Chris’ truck from the scene, only to stage it’s position to resemble an accident the following morning.

Remains recovered at the scene have been sent to the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office, and await identification confirmation.

Posted by BOC Staff | Blink,Chris George,Cold Case,Missing and Endangered,Murdered,Tracy Ocasio,Uncategorized | Monday 21 February 2011 7:57 pm

Ocoee-Apopka, FL- Breaking News this evening in the Onda “Chris” George missing persons case.

A ground search in the area of Keene and Ocoee/Apopka Rds, near Medicine Lake, focused on locating evidence in the Chris George missing persons case has recovered bones, a cell phone and other evidence, a source on the ground speaking on the condition of anonymity shared with blinkoncrime.com this evening.

Chris George was last seen with Tyler Watters and Jimmy Hataway.  The two are believed to have staged a truck accident close to the location of the search today.  Watters is currently facing felony charges for drug related offenses in Orange County, and Hataway is about to be tried for attempted murder in Seminole County.

blinkoncrime.com recently covered Chris's case, and tracked the last 24 hours of his life.

George's Mother, Rachael George,  has led recent efforts to rejuvinate Chris's case from it's "cold" status.

Reached at her home this evening, Ms. George refused to comment about what was found at the search, or if she has been told the remains are linked to her son.

.."I would not be in a position to discuss what Apopka Police have shared with us regarding the search today, and have been asked not to discuss it with the media..  We continue to be thankful for all efforts to help locate my son, and we are praying, as we have at every search, that we are able to finally recover him and for those responsible for his death to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The search today was based on locating evidence in his case,  and late last week I was told that law enforcement was planning renewed  search efforts at our request, but that is all I knew  before today.

Please keep Chris, his girlfriend and our family in your prayers.

-Rachael George

At press time, calls to Apopka Police Department have not been returned.  The remains recovered today have been sent to the Medical Examiner, Dr. Jan Garavaglia, and have not been identified pending autopsy.
