Kyron Horman Missing and Endangered: Terri Horman Leaves The House
Portland, OR– Late today, prior to a previously scheduled hearing at 3PM PST, an agreement was reached between the attorneys for Kaine Horman and Terri Horman.

Also on Koin6, via email from Kaine Horman-
When asked via email by KOIN if he believes Terri had something to do with Kyron’s disappearance, he wrote: “I believe at some point she will be arrested.”

Wow, “socially poignant” indeed, it took my breath away to read it.
I feel there is alot of hostility going on inside the family. Its so hard not to judge TH and her actions, but I will bite my tongue.
If she is now at her parent’s house I’m sure she will be very uncomfortable and this might be her catalyst for talking (if she hasn’t already done so with Houze). She has to hit rock bottom at some point, right? This is why…
Who is she going to get her kicks from now? She seems to have a history of using her sexual prowess to get things done: KH from DY (possibility, high). MFH plot from LS. RO map from Cook. Who is she going to use for her next move? Noone, hopefully. Lets get this case done and bring Kyron home.
Anyone else notice these patterns?

Blink,
“Can you tell me if the Rodolfo “Rudy” Sanchez listed as the “auth rep” for Rudy Sanchez Landscape Maintenance and RS Landscape Maintenance is the same Rodolfo Sanchez listed as one of the debtors on a UCC Filing (#8481721), dated March 16, 2010?
Thanks.”
The address with the above UCC Filing is for Muchas Gracias Mexican Food in Vancouver. The owner the restaurant chain is also named Rodolfo (Rudy) Sanchez and he lives in Eugene. Muchas Gracias is a well respected business in the Vancouver area. There are filings in Washington for Rodolfo Sanchez / Muchas Gracias as well. I’m pretty sure they are different people.
FUTUREMAN –
“Eventually we become what we love”.
Truer words have never been spoken.
I am in love with you. Will I become you now?
Just kidding, great post!!
Blink, mentioned this at SM but wanted to ask here too: Obvious direction from Houze aside, what are the chances that TH is also not talking because she’s been told that Kiara is ‘next’ if she does?
@Lillian
I do not think it is the same one (someone correct me if I’m wrong). The Rudolpho listed in the lien for March of this year is the one who owns, or is part owner in the mexican food chain Muchas Gracias.
@ glorybug “Why in the world would you still wear your wedding ring under those circumstances?”
I’ve been thinking about just this. Kaine also told her directly via one of his interviews to worry about getting Kyron back now and they would worry figuring out what happened to them and putting it back together later, or something like that.
While I can see several possibilities, I think the most likely is to try to give her one more reason to do the right thing.
All i have to say in regards to Terri is there is no way in hell my parents would take me back into their house esp if I was suspected of harming a child and witholding information of his wherabouts. That kid is out there somewhere by himself, or with some freak because of her , people closest to this case are saying she’s involved , and she’s at … See Morehome in her bedroom in warm sheets, eating, showering, comfy in her parents house contemplating her next move. Oh my God!!!! Talk about enablers. She’s thirty something right? An adult!!! My parents would demand I be taken to jail until I spoke. As far as I’m concerned the parents are part of the problem not the solution.
ps. If I were kaine I would take that wedding band, have it returned to Terri with the message ‘ shove it where the sun don’t shine!’
Amendment to my earlier comment: I don’t know that the Muchas Gracias founder lives in Eugene. The business is based in Vancouver, however. He is 10 years older than the landscaper Rudy Sanchez.
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_8100/is_20070805/ai_n51349025/
I doubt this is important, but I’ll throw it out there anyway. Kaine and Michael Cook are still friends on FB and neither of them are friends with Terri any longer. Does this lend any credence to the idea that perhaps Michael was sexting with Terri to help Kaine in some way? (Please note, I’m not trying to make Kaine out to be guilty of anything more than trying to get some information out of Terri, perhaps thinking she might tell MC something that she wouldn’t tell either him or LE.)
Futureman- I agree with B, poignant contribution indeed. I can think of times when I, myself, have been in relationships with jerks, and I have tried longer than a long time to hope jerk will not be one eventually. What really happens though, is that “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” ensues and pretty soon, I’m acting like a jerk. You start thinking, “What the hell am I doing coming down to his level?” I have learned in my life to stop trying to fix a messy situation and, instead, GET OUT because while I haven’t been tempted to murder anyone ever, I have found myself not behaving at a level consistent with my personal code.
I have commented earlier that I came to learn that I have a family full of characters with narcissistic behaviors, and learning that, could see that even their supposed kind gestures were always motivated by something THEY were getting out of it. If what we are learning about TH is the truth, those who speak kindly of her will be able to begin peeling back the layers and see that the being a good mom wasnt inherently satisfying to her. “Look at what a great mom I am” likely was. Being physically fit was not inherently satisfying to her. “Look at my awesome body” likely was. I really love this guy and want to spend my life with him was not inherently satisfying to her. “This guy can pay for my child, pay for my education, put a roof over my head, and buy me awesome gifts” likely was. You get the drift.
And I meant to add to that first paragraph……If one continues down a destructive path, then what Futureman points out, may be waiting for you. I totally get it.
Kaine said Terri wanted the truck to bring the project home and that is why she had the truck. Then why were the three of them at the bus stop waiting for Kyron to get off the bus? All the planning for getting the project home, switching the car/truck for the day, and suddenly BOTH K & T forget about gettting it home?
My thoughts exactly, Mel. If the white truck was to bring the project home, why didn’t anyone bring the project home? I remember Terri actually emailed to teacher to find out when to bring the project home, yet, she didn’t even try to go to the school and bring it home. Didn’t Kaine think this was odd? Is Kaine lying too? But here’s the big red flag that she’s guilty of something…refusing to go before a judge and fight for custody or even visitation of her little girl. That says it all folks. There’s no mother in the world who loved her child as much as Terri loved K who wouldn’t fight like crazy to get her back.
Looks like the case has stalled…
From ABC news:
“Bruce McCain, a retired captain with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating Kryon’s disappearance, said the case was at a crossroads and will remain that way until investigators can determine whether Kyron is dead or alive.
“Kyron is the absolute key,” he told “Good Morning America.” “Without Kyron’s status known there probably won’t be an arrest any time soon.”
The project did not need a dang truck. For God’s sake, Kyron could have carried it. If some ado was being made about this damn project getting to and fro, it was certainly much ado about nothing…nothing legitimate, that is.

I have not figured out how micheal cook figures into all of this. However I have not put to much emphasis on the sexting. It would not be impossible for someone to give the appearance of a texting. ALl he would need is access to her phone when she wasn’t looking and he was in and out of their house and helping with the search. Just saying I would not be surprised to see this texting relationship in a tabloid.
On a side note: bluetooth technology also allows another person phone to access your pics on your phone. Ask a tech savvy teen on how it is done.

Here’s a link to a good theory about the truck being needed to bring home the science project, vs. the real reason for needing a truck that day. It does seem to suggest that SM acted alone.

Kaylee,
I believe you are correct. Not only is Sanchez a common surname, but the given name of Rodolfo is fairly common, also. When I did a People Search of the name the other day, I found quite a few individuals by the name of Rodolfo/Rudy Sanchez in and around Portland.

Maybe it’s stuck.
snapoutofit said: “My question is this: Have any of the crew from RS Landscape Maintenance been at the school since Kyron’s disappearance?”
Seems like maybe the question should be: have ALL of the crew from RS Landscape Maintenance been at the school since Kyron’s disappearance?
Considering there is an adult on staff/contract with Skyline School who has not returned to the school since 6/4, one possibility is that the AWOL individual is an employee of RSLM, other than RS.
Are we missing something or am I just missing something?
KATU: Kaine, why did you and Terri switch cars the day Kyron disappeared? Did you typically drive the white truck, and Terri the red mustang? Did she request to have the truck that day?
Kaine: I typically drive the truck and Terri drives the car. She wanted to use the truck to bring Kyron’s science fair project home, easier done with the truck than the car, although she did not stay for the duration of the science fair – per her statements that the media has reported.
http://www.katu.com/news/local/98654424.html
Ok, so they are discussing the project being brought HOME. So, how did it get there? Who and when did it get brought to the school? For any of you parents at Skyline want to pipe in and give us an idea on the protocol for the fair. Did it all happen that day, or do the children bring and set up the afternoon before?
It might help us decide about the use of the truck.
On a personal note, I dont see the difficulty in bringing it in via the car even with a car seat, but that is me.

the article above states that…
The spotlight surrounding the Kryon Horman case has shifted to Southern Oregon, according to a reliable source.
I know nothing about Oregon. Can someone fill me in? How far away is that from Sauvie Island? from the school?
Can someone connect the dots for me?
thanks
She isn’t going to talk, and she covered her tracks well. trying to break her appears to be futile. Sadly this may never be resolved.
New article KATU. This is a snippet, is this poor wording or a known fact slipping out? ( quotes added by me)
PORTLAND, Ore. – Six weeks have now gone by since a young boy mysteriously disappeared from ‘outside’ Skyline School and his parents want to thank all those who have been sending positive thoughts their way.
http://www.katu.com/news/local/98765949.html
Anybody hear anything similiar?
@hebeke – I am not sure that it wasn’t Terri who un-friended the men and I wouldn’t put a lot of value on Kaine’s FB friends. If you notice, he is still friends with James, yet half the internet would tell it that Kaine is an ill tempered monster and forced Terri to send James packing. I am going to guess that Kaine isn’t spending a lot of time culling his friends list on FB at the moment.
@mel & Dee – I’ve thought about that as well and figured that perhaps Kaine thought that she had already picked it up earlier in the day or said that she’d spoken with the school and they said there was no rush on it. I don’t think the plan was ever to pick Kyron up.
@lyla – That is the saddest bit of news in a while.
In regards to an earlier post about Roseburg’s ‘sister KPIC’, I disagree. Most of those comments have streamed down here from KGW and Oregonlive.com. We just simply do not have the ‘lynch-mob mentality’ here. Not saying we’ll be all warm and fuzzy, just that we’re a bit more laid back and believe in innocent until proven guilty. We not only have TH now living here, her son JM lives in the area, as well. Our number one priority is Kyron…where is he and let’s find the little guy. That’s what is most important….justice will be served when the time is right. Too quick of an arrest, as we all know, could potentially damage the entire case.
@LoriD: if you spend some time on mapquest or google maps, you can find the Skyline school, the horman address, Sauvie Island and Roseburg (in southern Oregon, where Terri Horman is living now). You don’t need a specific address. Then you’ll have a good idea of where all this is taking place.
In addition to the post you’ve commented on here, there are these others (links above the comments)

@Eloise: “outside” is, I believe, a first mention. I wonder if that’s an intentional error?
MIDWEST MOM – so true. i have been in starbucks and picked up other bluetooth that are on and been able to communicate with that person.
FWIW, i think only sony ericcson has the capability built in to go in to anothers phone through bluetooth FYI
Roseburg is still in shock from the horrific murder of 5yo Sahara Dwight, by the 16yo son of her mothers boyfriend…to be bothered by any lynch mob mentality for Terri Horman. We just want Kyron to be found….
@Eloise…
I must be missing something too. If Terri was supposed to bring home the science fair project, did she bring it home? If she was picking up the project, why not pick up Kyron too? Why have him take the bus home?
Eloise, hi, the link you provided does not contain that exact phrase; “from outside”.
@Futureman
No scientist or physician has yet suggested that the discovery of the sociobiological origins to APD reduces a sociopath’s culpability. Individuals with APD can learn moral and legal requirements for the society in which they live and they can choose or not choose to abide by them. For your summer reading, may I suggest Comprehensive Handbook of Personality and Psychopathology by Jay C. Thomas, Psychopathic Disorders by Michael John, and People of the Lie by M. Scott Peck, M.D.
@Eloise – interestingly, they’ve already changed the wording on the site.

Snip:
Multnomah County Sheriff Dan Staton and Multnomah County District Attorney Michael Schrunk will ask the county this week for an additional $438,643 as a criminal inquiry into case of missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman proceeds.
Another more important snip:
The sheriff’s office is requesting $242,609 to support the salary of a one-year investigative technician and for four months of overtime, from July through October.
In its request submitted to the board, the sheriff’s office says it has generated over 3,000 leads that has filled up 38 four-inch binders, and has subpoenaed 200 sets of records, each record generating from 10 pages to hundreds of pages of paper records.
Phone, e-mail, computer, financial and school records would likely be among the material subpoenaed, criminal justice experts say.
A lead investigator, two detectives and an investigative technician are assigned to examine all these records. The sheriff’s office is seeking overtime funding for these four positions for four months.
Blink, please correct me if I’m wrong…but it seems to me they know a lil sumpin-sumpin A judge will not sign a subpoena based on guesses, it’s my understanding they only sign subpoenas that could show probability. Hmmm…wonder how many people will be scrambling in the near future?
The Sauvie Island and Skyline ES areas have been continually searched for the past 6 weeks with no evidential trace of Kyron. MCSD Capt Gates (6/18) previously made a statement/analogy in regards to this immediate area search:
“If I threw a penny out in the grass, a big patch of grass and I knew Im going to look for it and I go and search for it and I dont find it the first time I’m going to look again.”
More recently MCSD Sheriff Staton (7/5) states:
“There is no evidence that indicates anything other than the fact that Kyron Horman is still alive.”
Why are they still to this day searching these immediate areas?
Certainly they do not expect to find a live child after 6 weeks in the watery grassland’s.
What is this “penny” that they are looking for? and how are they certain that it is there?
@50.futureman
It appears out of my complete statement (reposted below) that you choose 11 words to banter regarding Genomes viability. May I suggest a wonderful book for the layman by Matt Ridley – called simply – Genome. As your statements regarding the subject are not factual. Lets keep the focus on Kyron’s disappearance and recovery please.
I agree with you regarding – as Human Beings we are morally pliable. Although as Genomes have proven we can be born a Nazi, a Saint, a Schizophrenic or a Prodigy. Lack of positive self knowledge or harsh environmental circumstances may also accelerate or strengthen an already inherent trait. Hiding ones true self from others is something that most Criminals have mastered.
I still wonder if Sauvie Island was only a place in which to exchange Kyron or dispose of evidence. LE may be looking for some type of evidence, but I do not believe from the public data we have thus far, that Kyron is there.
I applaud all those who keep questioning and applying pressure to TH as well as the Multnomah County Sheriffs Dept or anyone who has involvement with Kyron’s case. The more we keep discussing and searching for answers eventually they will surface.
Kudos to Blink for this wonderful site which allows for an extension of our hearts desire to contribute.
from Susan yesterday afternoon: “I have an idea that since Kyron seemed to vanish, he is going to be found close to where he was last seen.”
THIS. So much this.
Thank you MC for the hinkymeter link for todays post.
Below her story someone asked a question and she ( Valhall) replied with below link. I had not heard this, thought it might be of interest to some.
http://www.king5.com/news/local/NW-Portland-second-grader-still-missing-Saturday-95689114.html- source
‘Portland Public Schools spokesman Matt Shelby said two teachers saw Kyron with his mother and thought the two left school together. He said it was not uncommon for parents to pick up kids this way, so no suspicions were raised.
As for the risk of Kyron being seen by a friend, it was not that large, nor was it that big a deal. If she convinced Kyron he had a doctor’s appointment he would have just said something to his friend, “I have to go to the doctor.” and went on to the vehicle. I think the main thing (assuming anything about my scenario is close to what happened) is that she wanted to keep any sighting of Kyron and then any sighting of her leaving the school building separated. Kyron waiting in the backseat of the pickup would have done it.’ Valhall

Appears KATU2 has removed ‘outside school’
BUT when did Desirre and Kaine get ‘media liaison’?
“PORTLAND, Ore. – Six weeks have now gone by since a young boy mysteriously disappeared and his parents want to thank all those who have been sending positive thoughts their way.
Kaine Horman and Desiree Young sent the following statement through their media liaison:
“‘Kaine and Desiree’s main priority remains keeping their energy and available time focused on assisting investigators in the search for Kyron. Kaine and Kiara have returned home (and) are getting settled back into the house. Kaine is spending time getting the house ready so that Kyron has a comfortable and safe home to return to. The family sends their deepest gratitude for your support and thanks everyone who is keeping an eye out for Kyron.’”
In response to Midwest Mom & hebeke below:
I agree these are possibilities…I have a very tech savvy teen son myself. However, according to many sources, hundreds of texts/sexts(I read nearly 400) were sent beginning June 30th through July 9th or 10th. I find it hard to believe MC would have that much access to her phone without her knowledge…nor would a ‘normal’ person feel compelled to create a set up that extensive. If MC were doing this…he’d have only needed a few dozen to achieve his goal.

I’m still not convinced that Terri is responsible for Kyron’s disappearance. I’m convinced she definitely has some issues. Apparently some major issues, but I just can’t accept that she would harm or would have someone else harm a little boy that she raised since he was an infant. But then again, when Blink broke the Melissa Huckaby story, I couldn’t believe that she would harm a little girl either and was shouting out to anyone in my home that would listen, “remember when I left my suitcase out in the driveway all night after coming home from a late night trip! Some pedofile could have stolen it!” I just keep coming up with excuses or reasons for Terri’s behavior. I guess I won’t believe it until there’s an indictment. But whoa boy, I am going to change my sarcastic tune from now on, because if anyone ever abducted my stepdaughter, the media would have a field day with me. I recall once joking around, “hey you better get off that darn phone and get some sleep or I’ll take away one of your priviledges….like breathing!” She knew I was kidding, but I could just see the headlines….
Blink,
Has there been any indication Rudy and associates could be involved in some sort of underground criminal operation?
well, yes, solicitation or conspiracy to commit murder.

Additional info:
“Through June 23, the district attorney’s office spent about $62,616, representing 1,212 hours worked by two chief deputy prosecutors, three senior deputy prosecutors, three investigators and an administrative secretary.
“With a dozen staff and well over 1200 man-hours through July 9th, the office is in it for the long haul,” the district attorney’s office wrote to the board. “But this does take much needed resources away from working other cases that routinely come into the DA’s office. If and when an arrest is made, the (work) continues for the DA office through the trial and penalty phases and will also require resources to coordinate the thousands of documents associated with the case.”
More than 42 agencies have been involved in the search and investigation for Kyron, the sheriff’s office said in its request. “
BLINK this is sort of off topic. I did see where some folks referenced the situation on one of the articles. Hope OK?
A few days ago LE asked news outlets to voluntarily provide footage from June 4th. One station made a point of including a disclaimer that they as a rule do not surrender their work unless they are forced to comply with a subpoena (I paraphrase).
I tried and tried to post on their site that day and found my posts never made it. I wanted to try here because I see this development as very important. Folks here want Kyron found. I have been following missing person cases for 30+ years with the single purpose of trying to maximize our efforts to locate people, especially children, quickly. As I look at each case I do so from the vantage point that we, JohnQ Public, and the media can compliment LE’s efforts. When the effort is collaborative, good things happen! When adversarial (did I spell that right?) things can go wrong imo. Along the way I have worked to get laws changed or put on the books to help us to do our best. LE needed help to hurdle privacy laws (there remains work in this area). I believe it is naive to believe LE can act alone and find every missing person. Most every case shows the media and our effort is what helps advance cases. And families of the missing and their advocates should not be impeded by jurisdictional boundaries. Right now there is a very important bill in our Senate S3019, (House version already passed in Feb) which will help everyone be on the same page to bridge the jurisdictional gap between missing person cases and found remains cases.
Is anyone else wrestling with similar frustration with Kyron’s disappearance? This horrible case occurred, tiny little Oregonian Kyron lost, and I feel it is 30 years ago all over again. Instead of everyone focused on finding Kyron, there is fractured uneven effort afoot. I was and am stunned any news station would not find a workaround to allow authorities to have access to their footage for one day if it could help locate a missing child. I should preface I do understand there is a huge difference between a missing person case and a criminal investigation.
I wondered though how others HERE feel about what happened. I have to confess I am not sleeping at night. I spend many hours on my knees begging for this little guy to be found, for the community to pull together and hone in on what can be done right now this minute to expand the effort and FIND THIS LITTLE GUY!(with so much time the community boundaries for the search grid for Kyron is EARTH!) I know, I know, that in most cases a missing person is found within 10 miles of where they were last seen. However, this is not in stone. It is just a good working reference. Police can’t be all places at all times. And they have made it clear their search efforts to date have cleared some areas. They’ve counted it as progress because they know where Kyron ISN’T. I never will understand why there seems to always be someone(s) who adamently hold(s) the conviction LE must work in secret and alone! They view JohnQ Public as contaminates almost. I can’t recall many cases where police have not needed and asked for the public’s and the media’s help. We compliment or aid them. We don’t replace the police. But it’s wrong to stick our heads in the sand or shut our eyes and wait for LE to appear on our doorstep and personally ask for help. Yet I have the impression that is what is happening in Oregon. Am I wrong? I would interested in hearing from anyone on this blog who has LE missing person experience. The terrain, the time lapse, and the weather really threw a wrench in the search grid effort, didn’t they? We all heard that many many professionals, more than in any other case in Oregon, did their best to find Kyron. And their grid was ONLY 2 miles. And he remains missing.
Here is what I asked on that site (I can’t bring myself to even use their call letters because I am so disgusted with their reference point and lack of compassion and in my mind COMMON SENSE).
I asked if LE were to reopen the MISSING PERSON CASE if THAT could alter the station’s decision and allow them to release their footage? I wanted to know if their policy was only for CRIMINAL investigations. I have to admit I can’t rightly recall any prior case where LE stood up and said we are MOVING TO A CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION without having found the missing person or have enough circumstancial evidence to charge. I thought at the time, why not just work the CRIMINAL case in the background (stealth mode) and keep the public focused on the MISSING PERSON CASE? We all have seen this method over and over again, haven’t we? I worried the focus shift was a negative. Can’t LE have two independent separate cases working here, especially since the LS claims there was a murder for hire scheme against someone else? I understand you can’t rollback time. Maybe the cat’s out of the bag? I do believe when there’s a will there will be a way!
I asked if the station could just upload their raw footage, as many stations do on their blog or website when there is breaking news. That way authorities could at least view the material and who knows maybe by uploading the material someone will provide just the tip LE needs to find Kyron. And gee, maybe it would actually increase traffic on their site. Wouldn’t that be a way for all efforts to be moving in sync and in the right direction?
Wondered aloud at the reason LE might HAVE to ask for voluntary participation instead of serving a subpoena- maybe they don’t have enough to go before a judge or a grand jury and get a subpoena because of current laws on the books and time is ticking by and they understand evidence is very fragile during this time of the year. I always try to think what would I want done or do if this was my family. I understand we all have various strengths and talents. Just seems to me if we all approached missing person cases from that position it would be less stressful on the families, time would not be such a challenge, and the toolbox used would be overflowing with technological aids (preventive and reactive), and JohnQ Public and media collaboration, especially with today’s communication channels, would break through jurisdictional boundaries quickly.
Are there enough good guys out there? Or is it going to require laws to force some to be able to quickly aid LE? I’ll say it again, we can’t replace the POLICE. But we can help if we choose.
One angle I began to ponder though I have to admit it is half baked – Many states and even localities have laws on the books about a specific media source being their “legal organ”. To be the legal organ means greater traffic and more revenue and a unique relationship with the community. Most of the time it is a print source. But now-a-days, many TV stations and print sources are co-owned or are partners and well recognized as such by the community. We also have laws about public notification/warning/alerts over the airways- radio and TV channels. These sources have incorporated this into their websites. I wondered if Oregon, and Portland/Multnomah specifically, recognized one entity as their legal organ. Since missing person cases are defacto public safety matters at least until the reason each person went missing is solved, could it be necessary to require a two way communication channel specifically for all information regarding a missing person case within the first X hours or days? Oregon seems to have a very liberal mindset.
When I lived in TN, it was before Amber or Silver alerts existed. Yet, it was not uncommon for the local TV station (and their sister radio station) to broadcast public announcements about missing people. Often times, it was not the police who reached out to the stations but the families. And the stations did not hesitate to air and 9 times out of 10, by the late news, the person was found. They were trendsetters. They approached the situation as if it was one of their own! And the community was the better for it. There is only one station in Portland who has a banner on their homepage for Kyron. I just never expected a community with direct ties to the computer industry to not expect/demand ALL their stations to put Kyron on their homepage. Does it bug anyone else that Kyron’s PHOTO AND DESCRIPTION and the REWARD is NOT on the County’s homepage or even the SHERIFF’s site. The Sheriff’s site only has a rolling banner with his name and police contact info. I can’t find where any police department nearby has put Kyron’s photo/description and REWARD on their homepage. If the police are going to work this case from behind the blue line, then shouldn’t they at the very least do their best to keep the best information out there and ask their neighboring agencies to do the same? Afterall, we are talking about a shy 7 year old boy with impaired vision. And no one from the department or any agency had routinely appeared on camera and released a simple press release – OK we want everyone to know what this this little guy looks like. Here is his photo. Commit it to memory! If you know or become aware of anything that could help us FIND HIM, call us!
We have witnessed two or three separate requests by the Multnomah,OR LE for surveillance or video footage since June 4th. There have been many cases when such information has been key to solve missing person cases. I hate to wonder what would likely have happened with Carlie’s case in FL if there was not the carwash footage. I personally was surprised by what seemed to be a delay in asking for and gathering this possibly critical information in Kyron’s case. I doubt I have to remind folks here how the FBI and DC LE neglected to secure such footage in the Chandra Levy case. Is it time for laws to be on the books to require all of us to provide any such information, any video footage within a particular radius shot during a particular time frame within a particular search grid area (usually 5 to 10 miles from the last known whereabouts) should a missing person case go unsolved for X days? Maybe this would help all of us be on the same page? Prevent any media source from having polices in place that could impede progress in a missing person case? Protect businesses or individuals from liability and allow peace of mind for everyone to be a good samaritan? Wouldn’t matter if it was media footage or convenience store surveillance footage or a bank teller camera footage or my home’s security camera footage. I’m really curious what folks have to say.
Especially you BLINK. I know you and the folks here have thought about missing person cases. I come to your site because I feel it is a place to reach folks with the same mindset as those who participated on the old CourtTV boards; I remember starting the thread for Taylor (Behl). I feel you have created a site with great potential to help case by case make us better at understanding what hurdles LE face, what our role and the role of the media is and could be, and either in real time or by review of your case files, we can become smarter and make our communities safer.
Thank you BLINK! And thanks to all of you on this site who come to contribute.
Sorry this is so long. Blink – hope it will be ok to post though. Understand fully if you edit or punt. Anyone who remembers Veracity knows brevity is a real struggle for me. It’s hard to be brief when there are so many facets and the concern is so great.

Willamette Week:
Stepmom Moves Into Parents’ House, but First Son Already Moved Out
“As part of our coverage of the Kyron Horman case, we went to Roseburg last month to talk to Ron Tarver, ex-husband of Terri Moulton Horman and the father of her oldest child, 16-year-old James.
Tarver revealed then to WW the answers to questions many observers had been asking—when and why James had moved away from the Portland home he shared until recently with the Hormans.
Tarver said Terri Horman had sent James to live in the southern Oregon town of Roseburg last March because the boy’s grades at Lincoln High School in Portland were dropping and he was acting out at home, including butting heads with his stepfather, Kaine Horman. Tarver said James was living nearby with Terri Horman’s parents but frequently visited Tarver’s home.
With the latest news that Terri Horman relocated over the weekend to her parents’ home in Roseburg, we wondered whether James is still living in that same house. A judge has placed a restraining order on Terri Horman telling her to stay away from Kaine Horman and their 19-month-old daughter, Kiara.
Reached by phone today, Tarver tells WW that James moved out of Terri Horman’s parents’ house and into the Tarver house just south of Roseburg sometime in the past month. Tarver declined to elaborate on when the move happened or why, but he said it was before Terri Horman moved to Roseburg over the weekend.
“This was all before that,” Tarver says. “He’s been with us for quite some time.”

**********************
Here’s what confuses me. If TMH actually planned, potentially for some time, to abduct little Kyron and either give him away, sell him or kill him, then did she actually think to herself, “Okay, I’m going to tell Kaine that I need the truck so I can bring Kyron’s project home, and tell him that’s because I’m staying for the entire science fair; and I will also tell Desiree that I will be staying for the entire fair-so I’ve got my story straight!”
But then abducts Kyron (or has someone else do it), and then when Kyron was discovered missing that afternoon, proceed to tell Kaine, Desiree, the police, and basically the rest of the world, that she left Kyron at school at 8:45am? Why didn’t she stick with her original plan and say she left at 10 am-the end of the science fair and when classes were due to start-wouldn’t that have made more sense?
Was she dumb enough or panicked enough to completely eff up her own alibi, and possibly the largest part of her alibi? That is what I’m hung up on right now.
She shouldn’t have given Kaine and Desiree the 8-10 am time line, if she didn’t plan on following it later. What good did that do her?
I guess what I’m thinking is that if I told someone I would be somewhere from 8-10 am, then did something illegal or stupid during that time period elsewhere—-I would still say I was, where I said I would be, in the hopes that it would save my a**.
