Ending The Nittany Nightmare: Penn State Pre-Game Plea, An Open Letter To President Rodney Erickson

An Open Letter to Penn State University President Rodney Erickson

With much respect -Do what I say, and do it today.

Hire the best Public Relations firm in the country for PSU’s needs.   I am redacting that recommendation for the publication of this open letter, but it is included in my email to you.  Don’t spend the time or manpower to run through the approved vendor lists and bid it out- not that kind of gig.  The Board of Trustees can WebEx if necessary and this is the kind of emergency proxy was invented for.

Once retained, have the agency facilitate meetings through their agents with Bill Parcells and Bill Cowher immediately.  Specify no leaks to the press until after they occur and by mutual agreement.   Cowher may be the low hanging fruit on this one,  he is returning to CBS next year.

If neither is interested in a head coach commitment of an 8-1 Big Ten team, follow their recommendations about who to contact next and ask them; beg if necessary, if they would be willing to consider a consulting gig for the recruitment process.  Urban Myer is a fine coach and leader, but regardless of who PSU ultimately chooses, efforts to rebuild the PSU brand must start with a nationally recognizable face of a trusted and respected winner, like yesterday.

Champions attract champions and without that, it is like asking collegiate coaching candidates to walk into the lion’s den (pun intended) wearing a raw steak necklace.  You will not even get one to tour Lasche, trust me on this.

This strategy would likely also include a public facing spokesperson effort, and worth every penny if that is all you can get a commitment for from either coach.

Pay them to sit in the lobby.  Pay them to ride the elevator a few times, but get them on grounds.  Pay them to have a motivational meeting with the team.

If you have some strong players they could attach to quickly and produce an  “I remember when I was a young fig on the tree” memory synapses, it couldn’t hurt.

Instruct all team members never to roll the eyes should the phrase “When I was your age we played ball with pads made of glass and never wore cleats in the snow”;  if they told me that I would believe it.

This is the kind of benchmarking that will revitalize wilting spirits of a young athlete, and the parents with the trembling hand over the eject button.

Half the free world is digging old milk cartons out of the recyclables to see if they recognize any kids they may have seen with Sandusky or on the sidelines of a game- they need a new visual association.

As you already know, if you are lucky enough to get this far, they will advise you to release every staffer from the interim athletic director to the water boys that were ever part of Paterno’s camp or rolled up his pants before the game. Do it.

This might be a good time to allow a try before they buy scenario if either are willing, as “guest coaches” to finish the season.

While I am at it, I might suggest a reality miniseries of the process- I know some folks from HBO familiar with the Hard Knocks of football, I would be glad to make a connection.

Donate those proceeds to Coach Parcells or Coach Cowher’s disadvantaged children’s charity of choice which is vetted in advance by a specially appointed member chosen by the new Ethics officer.

Point is, you need immediate public support and that will require immediate damage control or your Titanic does not even have the measly lifeboat option.

The public perception is that there is more to this horror movie after the commercial, and the commercials are disappearing as well.

Your job is to employ the resources that can change the channel when the public is not looking, and forget what they were watching in favor of the new programming, which includes sponsors aligned with that audience.

It is about as transparent of a plan as I can offer- with hope and promise to the innocent victims of this tragedy.

New Fund Offers Tax Benefits, Alternative to Foundations for Donors

    Wednesday, May 18, 2011
    snip>
Through the Penn State University Charitable Gift Fund (PSUCGF), donors can make gifts of cash, appreciated assets such as securities or real estate, and other resources to a fund that is invested and administered by the University’s partners, investment firm Kaspick & Company and DAF technology and services provider Crown Philanthropic Solutions LLC. An account can be established with a gift of $25,000, and it can be increased with additional contributions that each meet a $1,000 minimum. Donors may choose to have their gifts invested in one of eight options, much like mutual funds, that reflect different growth and income strategies. Gifts can be counted as tax-deductible as soon as they are committed to the fund, allowing donors to manage the impact of significant tax events. Donors may wait to direct their support until they have defined their philanthropic priorities, but at least 50 percent of the distributions from each donor’s account must ultimately come to the University.

In my hometown, New York, the youth-basketball scene was rife with abuse allegations for decades. A probe of one Louis d’Almeida — founder of a then-famous AAU team called the Gauchos — was eventually dropped by the Manhattan D.A.’s office. By then, d’Almeida had slipped out of view.

His main rival — Ernie Lorch, of Riverside Church — stayed around longer. A wealthy lawyer, Lorch paid at least $640,000 to settle just two civil claims by men who said he abused them as boys. The allegations against Lorch — first reported by Daily News’ Michael O’Keefe — became public in 2002. Again, there were statute of limitation problems — though not in Massachusetts, where Lorch — now almost 80 — was indicted last year on molestation charges dating back to 1977.

Also guilty in Massachusetts was former Christ the King (Queens, N.Y.) basketball coach Bob Oliva, one of the most prominent high school coaches in the country. Oliva pleaded out last year after hearing a now-middle-aged victim testify of the abuse he took on a trip to New England in 1976.

Too bad Massachusetts never got a shot at Graham James, the youth hockey coach who assaulted at least two junior players and faces charges from several more, including Theo Fleury. Unfortunately, the Commonwealth misses some, too. In 2002, former Red Sox clubhouse manager Donald Fitzpatrick, then 72, pleaded guilty to four counts of attempted sexual battery on a child, between 1975 and 1989.

    http://msn.foxsports.com/collegebasketball/story/sexual-abuse-in-sports-scandals-could-get-much-worse-112211

And in New York, how absolute and good connected is a Gauchos’ d’Almeida? Consider that in 1969, he was charged with second-degree killing in a shooting death of a 20-year-old masculine diver, Gerald Gerardo. He claimed Gerardo had been distraught and that he had attempted to wring a gun divided from a immature man, a world-class diver. The charge was lowered to criminally inattentive carnage during a ask of afterwards Manhattan partner district attorney, Gino Gallina; d’Almeida got 5 years probation. He never served time as a outcome of a understanding that had d’Almeida yield New York prosecutors with information about a mob. (After a d’Almeida case, DA Gallina quit and went to work for a organisation whose clients enclosed Mafia members. He was after gunned down execution-style on a Greenwich Village street).

    Sex-probe Coach Gets 28g Grant

    BY LUKE CYPHERS

    Sunday, September 29, 1996

The controversial head of the city’s most famous summer youth basketball team has been granted more than $28,000 in city funds for the next two years despite being under investigation for alleged child molestation.

Lou d’Almeida, the director of the Bronx Gauchos, a team whose roster has included NBA pros Stephon Marbury and Chris Mullin, is the subject of a six-month child-molestation probe by the Bronx district attorney’s office.

Former Gauchos’ tutors told investigators that they saw d’Almeida, 62, in his car performing a sexual act on what appeared to be an underage boy.

“We’re still actively pursuing this investigation,” Bronx district attorney spokesman Steven Reed said last week.

Thank you for the kind words. I just rechecked the link to Stanton and found it working. The reference to the payments is still there. Since I am my own IT guy, I must be doing something right. LOL

Wendy Murphy does a lot of good work, but Blink is correct. It is time she did more fact checking before writing with assumed facts.

The GM story on the link is interesting. We have to remember that GM is no longer “General Motors” thanks to the lawbreaking done by our federal government. It is now Government Motors or perhaps Union-Govenment Motors. Just why would GM want to have a means of forcing their way into a partnership with a private dealer? So they can exercise control.

There are already company stores. Most privately owned car dealerships bear the name of the owner or owners while the company owned dealerships carry a name like a town, or a geographic reference.

Your research has been relentless. There are a host of potential links to this crime and I believe that you are on to some of them.

There also seems to be some strange relationships between administrative personnel at various universities in regards to the movement from school to school. The recent finding of phornography on some of the PSU computers with a reference to school IP addresses may lead to additional links.

Any time we have a tax funded entity that tries to prevent information being available to the public, should raise a lot of red flags regarding their activities.

  7. Sherlock says:

    Hello all,
Again, I am amazed at all the excellent research you folks have
done on the whole PA system of corruption. These posts and links
in a perfect world, would be published on the front page of every
    major newspaper. But alas……
I am afraid of this case soon getting buried and forgotten in
the “media”. We are trained/brainwashed to only be concerned about
stories like this for about a week, and then forget them as we move
our attention to the new Lindsey Lohan crisis or political scandal.
Somebody cheating on their wife is made to appear as equally bad
as a decades offender child molester. All is food processed into
the grinder of tabloid shock value, and quickly marginalized.
As this investigation (as per Blink researchers) leads into
higher and more complex webs of association with political ties
and the big money people, many of you are getting your first real
education into the powers, the real powers, that are running our
colleges, our judicial systems, and indeed, our government at the
    highest levels.
It is BLACKMAIL my friends, not just pedo porn, that is the
magnetic force drawing the big guys into this dark world. It was
blackmail that was really behind Watergate (see Jim Hougan) and
it is blackmail (video evidence of illicit sex) that is the magic
power controlling our Congress, our judges, our Attn. Generals,
and so on. Child porn, blackmail and intelligence operations go
together like money and politics. Especially in a situation
that is long term and organized and as well covered up as this
    one is.
If you have the “goods” on a CEO, a Governor, a judge, or
a Congressman – then you as much as own them. Just ask J. Edgar
Hoover (where did that famous file cabinet disappear to??)
This problem is endemic, it is viral. And it is destroying
our country. If you ever wonder why our elected officials aren’t
doing their jobs and voting in the best interests of the people,
    this is the answer.
At this point, the old song “How Long Has This Been Goin’ On”
should be playing through your brain.

By waiving his right to a prelim, the case will automatically be set for a full trial.”

    B

  11. beejay says:

Now that Jer has waived his prelim hearing, I’m guessing that any offers of a plea deal could happen. Why would the state be interested in that? Usually, it’s to get the goods on bigger fish; to save the expense of trial (certainly a consideration in these economic times); to hush up the accused before he spills the beans at trial on people that those with formal or informal power in the structure want to protect. Other ideas? In my mind, any of that could come into play.

Meanwhile, Jer has bought time out of prison. I think that’s his main goal now–to not be locked up.

Yesterday I read 2 interesting things, that relate to McQueary’s supposed varying stories:

    (1) Acc to Sara Ganim on Nov 11, 2011, per Paterno himself (IF I remember correctly), Paterno did not have the specifics of the assault McQ saw because he stopped McQ from saying any more before it got too “graphic”. (To me, there are a variety of reasons one might do that, including a distaste for those conversations, and a desire to officially “not know that”._

    (2) Acc to Dr. Jonathan Dranov, friend who was at daddy McQ’s house when McQ came over all upset about what he saw in the shower, he asked McQ 3 times if he actually saw an anal rape. And McQ said no. (Elsewhere I read that he did not “see” insertion. Well, that could be hard to see, depending on your vantage point.) Based on that, the doc friend advised McQ that he didn’t have to report to LE, but could just report within Penn State.

Dranov’s(check out his personal power/wealth)wife is a founding member of a 527 “super-PAC”. (Sorry, not on my own computer; don’t have yesterday’s cache available; going on memory here). That allows pooling of funds by many people and the PAC makes contributions itself. I need more details, but it looks like this protects an individual’s identity from showing up on records of who he makes political contributions to. And does other things; allows larger than normal contributions to candidates, etc.

“Jon” Dranov was 2007 Renaissance person of the year (hi, erose!) and his name brought in a LOT of $.

Dranov’s wife is one of a handful of founding members of this particular 527 corp. The other main one Doyle, a/k/a the “Godfather” of Republican politics in PA. (I have no partisan ax to grind myself, but am always interested in the power of any “Godfather”). So, that hooks up the wealthy doc’s wife with a major power source in PA.

Think I can get access to my usual computer, with cache now. If so, I’ll add more detail shortly.

  12. beejay says:

“Two days after the report was released[the grand jury presentment as it was furnished to the public], Paterno issued a statement saying he wanted to correct the impression left by the presentment.

Even though Paterno himself had told the grand jury that McQueary saw “something of a sexual nature,” Paterno said this week that he had stopped the conversation before it got too graphic. Instead, he told McQueary he would need to speak with his superior, Athletic Director Tim Curley, and with Schultz.”

  13. sunshine says:

If McQueary testifies friday for Curley and Schultz’s perjury hearing, is Sandusky’s “lawyer” (PA’s very own Jose Baez) allowed to use any of that testimony as part of his defense of Sandusky if there are conflicting statements made by McQueary?

Yes. I do not believe that McQueary will do anything but repeat the exact same testimony that he gave before the grand jury, or he is going to be facing the same charges. I think McQueary did a supreme injustice in leaving that child alone with Sandusky in that shower, I am NEVER going to get past that, and anyone who has said “I am not sure what I would have done, I would have been in shock, blah, blah- needs to be concerned about their own personal karma as a life lesson they may be in need of.

There is never and will never be a set of circumstances where direct intervention was not INCUMBANT upon an adult, period.

I thought I had a hard line position on this, until I heard Mike Golick speaking about it, I am ok with it.

Hershey Medical Center to bring outstanding opportunities for research/clinical alliances, medical education, shared technologies, and advanced medical services to central Pennsylvania. The newest feature of our cardiology program—interventional cardiology—is a life-saving result of this affiliation….”

From the writing signed by Dr. Jon Dranov, as Campaign Chair, on the foundation’s website. Dr. D is fabulously successful fund-raiser.

Um. Daddy McQueary is a nurse(right?); does he happen to work at that Med Ctr? I’ve read elsewhere that he and Dr. D were colleagues, as well as friends. Did daddy McQ invite Dr. D over when he knew his son was coming to talk about the shower incident? Or, did Dr. D just happen to be visiting? Dr. D is an internist and IIRC, has a special interest in nephrology (which is neither here nor there).

IF this ever goes to trial, Jer’s attorneys (surely Amendola, Esq will have help, if only behind the scenes) might cast doubt on McQ’s testimony. But that’s only one victim down. It will matter mucho to Curley & Schultz; not so much to Jer overall.

I can’t find out, but do wonder if Schaad agency has any PIs officially on their payroll. Just curious; doesn’t matter; a team can readily be put together from separate employers.

More grist for the mill in your post. I postulated at the beginning of this case that the corruption extended way beyond the PSU and SMF and you have now found a possible connection to the Republican party in Penn. as well as a corporate connection with GM. This web of corruption has been in construction for decades.

In addition, erose has been busy finding some other interesting links about other foundations and the PSU gift fund and its management.

erose you should not be suprised that the crooks in some places in government are not afraid to keep giving the peoples money to those accused of crimes. Could it be protection money? IMO more than likely.

I could not watch the entire press conference by JS’s attorney it was too disgusting. I do have to hand it to the guy, he is a glib as any.

After watching the enterance and exit of the Sandusky party at a back door of the courthouse, I thought of the role that Dottie Sandusky played in this crime. People can be brainwashed into believing things that are not true. I had to ask myself if this happened to Dottie.

This also brings up the question of why the Sandusky’s never had children of their own. Is it possible that Dottie knew all along the proclivities of Jerry and they decided not to create them for fear that they would be molested?

Despite all the problems at PSU there are some good things that the school is involved in with young people. Lauren Hodge, a fourteen year old, just won the first prize in this year’s Google Science Fair for her work of investigating the carcinogenic properties of burnt chicken. She is a high school junior(HS juniors are normally 16 to 17) who takes college classes at PSU and used the labs at the school to produce her prize winning work. She is a musician and hopes to get a degree in music and a PHD in science.

Lizzy should be proud of this. You can find Lauren’s picture and story on page 178 of the December issue of Wired Magazine.

Just What is an Independent Director Anyway

The actual NYSE standards state: “no director qualifies as ‘independent’ unless the board of directors affirmatively determines that the director has ‘no material relationship’ with the listed company, either directly or as a partner, shareholder or officer of an organization that has a relationship with the company.”

The Nasdaq standards are similar. Nasdaq’s rules provide that an independent director is a person other than an officer or employee of the company or its subsidiaries or any other individual having a relationship that, in the opinion of the company’s board of directors, would interfere with the exercise of independent judgment in carrying out the responsibilities of a director.

Mellon Financial Corporation, was one of the world’s largest money management firms. Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, it was in the business of institutional and high-net-worth individual asset management, including the Dreyfus family of mutual funds; business banking; and shareholder and investor services. On December 4, 2006 it announced a merger agreement with Bank of New York, to form The Bank of New York Mellon. After regulatory and shareholder approval, the banks completed the merger on July 2, 2007.

Mellon was founded in 1869 by Thomas Mellon and his sons Andrew W. Mellon and Richard B. Mellon, as T. Mellon & Sons’ Bank. In 1902, the institution became Mellon National Bank.

Mellon Bank was the driving force behind the vast majority of the mass production revolution, especially in the Midwestern United States. The Mellon family using the bank as a proxy had direct involvement with founding the modern aluminium, oil, consumer electronics and financial industries. Alcoa, Gulf Oil (now Chevron-Texaco), Westinghouse (now CBS Corporation and Siemens) and Rockwell, all were directly founded and managed by the bank. U.S. Steel (the world’s first billion dollar corporation), Heinz, General Motors, Koppers and ExxonMobil (as Rockefeller’s Standard Oil) were born and nurtured by Mellon.

    Ownership Chart: The Big Six

The U.S. media landscape is dominated by massive corporations that, through a history of mergers and acquisitions, have concentrated their control over what we see, hear and read. In many cases, these giant companies are vertically integrated, controlling everything from initial production to final distribution. In the interactive charts below we reveal who owns what.

    http://www.freepress.net/ownership/chart/main

    With that in mind;

A youth basketball program called Teamwork Foundation (Gauchos Basketball) started here 40 years ago by a convicted killer, Lou d’Almeida, with the intent of sexually abusing the most disadvantaged inner city black kids. The New York Times wrote a piece about the program in the early 1990s by accurately stating, “The kids shoot their wads for a piece of the action.” Years later, Sports Illustrated and the Daily News coordinated coverage that lead to the permanent removal of d’Almeida from the program, as well as the implementation of a code of conduct. The code of conduct included, “No inappropriate touching of the kids.” Some of these children are as young as five years old.

No one was prosecuted, but d’Almeida was gone. Then I was told that Jerry Levin, the CEO of Time Warner, struck a deal with Edgar Bronfman Jr., the Chairman of Seagrams and Teamwork Foundation. The deal was simple—Seagrams was to sell back the Time Warner stock in exchange for SI limiting the exposé of d’Almeida—a typical transaction in the world of business and finance. Seagrams sold the shares and both sides could claim victory, at least until d’Almeida resurfaced at the gym. As one coach put it at the time, “He (d’Almeida) was just waiting for the statue of limitations to run out.”

In 1997, Jonathan Levin, the son of former Time Warner CEO Jerry Levin, was teaching English up the street from the Gauchos Gym at Taft High School. When two players, Corey Arthur and Montoun Hart, confirmed that Jonathan Levin was indeed the son of Jerry Levin, they tied him to a chair, carved him with a box cutter, and killed him.

The news media incorrectly reported that Jonathan Levin was killed over money. Levin had been teaching at Taft High School since 1993, and his students had known about his wealth since the first week of classes. It wasn’t until four years later when a confluence of factors—most notably confirmation that he was Jerry Levin’s son, coupled with the reappearance of d’Almeida at the gym—resulted in Jonathan Levin’s murder. After the murder, the FBI pursued all leads to prevent a vigilante retaliation, rather then prosecuting d’Almeida, who is a known associate of organized crime.

It makes me sick that Sandusky was allowed to wait until the last possible second to waive a preliminary trial. While this allows him time and freedom the young men who were waiting will now have to wait longer and worry and be sick inside and be picked on, etc. JERRY SANDUSKY IS A COWARD.

  34. beejay says:

Here’s what I’m reading: Small slip by Amendola (20 to 40 yrs is not a plea deal–can’t find link to that now); the fact that prosecutors and Amendola and the new atty on Jer’s case worked out the agreement late the night before his hearing for him to waive it. In return, Jer’s attys get accelerated discovery and retain same bail/conditions of his freedom already in place.

OK, I had no idea it was done that way.

So, prosecution and defense are already negotiating stuff. Leads me to: DESPITE their public denial of it, they are already talking “what-if” terms wrt a plea deal. With accelerated discovery, his defense can more quickly assess the strength of prosecution’s case.

Jer would like to draw this out, so long as he retains his freedom. Yes? But, I will bet there are some people in high places who want this case settled–yesterday–and silence to resume.

Amendola has a reputation for quietly accepting a longer sentence than you’d think his client would want; and later the client gets an early parole hearing. Jer knows he’s going to prison, but wants to negotiate a nice prison (!) and his legal team will help him with that too.

I have NO idea what Dottie’s involvement is. Just a hunch that their early realization that they wouldn’t have bio-kids is tied to Jer’s preferences rather than anything else. I think maybe he is fixated at that early adolescent stage where males have some mutual experimentation. (Can I say that??) I’ve been surprised that some of his victims have been, guessing by their ages, already pubescent. A bit of a different psychosexual deal from what we even define a pedophile by.

You may be right about JS being a coward. However, you can blame the last minute manipulations at the court house on the lawyer. I don’t think JS has the smarts to make that happen by himself.

Read Blinks reply to Sammy. I agree that they probably have some information regarding the testimony of the victims that would put JS back in jail without the possibility of bail. As Blink stated, a stratigic move. It also gives the defense team time to do some further investigation of the accusers and try to find something to discredit them altogether or to blunt the weight of their testimony.

We must not forget the design of our criminal justic system as an adversarial system. The defense attorneys become very good a the destruction of actual and potential witnesses in order to help their clients.

Well for starters, I know Paterno was assistant coach when Garban ’59 played for Penn State. His son is on TSM board. He had Curley, Schultz and Spainer answering to him during crutial periods of this case. HE OVER SAW THE ATHLECTIC PROGRAM. My guess is that he was one of the hands keeping the lid on the pot. Surma OTOH was involved with Spainer not only at PSU, but U S Steel. I think was is interesting in this article is it highlights the forces naming board members, who can vote, and who observes.

The board of directors of a $4 billion company would never elect a chairman who once worked directly for the company’s CEO.

Too many possible conflicts of interest and cozy relationships exist.

Yet that is exactly what the Penn State board of trustees did by electing Steve Garban chairman to oversee the $4.3 billion university.

Garban spent 33 years at Penn State, including 10 as controller and 12 as senior vice president/treasurer. While he worked in the upper echelons of the university, he oversaw the athletic program.

    snip>
48 hours earlier, the Patriot-News had reported that its sources were suggesting, “a new chairman could be named soon.”

    Today, nothing has changed.

Perhaps the fact that Garban was instrumental in quickly promoting longtime Penn State administrator Rod Erickson from “acting president” to “president” – in less than 48 hours – has something to do with Garban’s unchanged status atop the Penn State Board of Trustees.

Garban went to work for US Steel, but came back to Penn State for his masters and he accepted a job as ticket manager. He spent the rest of his 33-year career at Penn State. He rose to increasingly responsible positions. He was an officer the last 22 years of his career, 10 as controller and 12 as Senior Vice President/Treasurer, oversaw Penn State’s nationally recognized athletic program, and its entrance into the Big Ten. He was instrumental in the development of The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, The Nittany Lion Inn, the Bryce Jordan Center and the Penn State Research Park and currently is a member of The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Campaign Committee.

“I’ve been here over 50 years,” Garban stated. “Penn State’s been good to me. I’ve enjoyed it immensely – for a kid from Grindstone as you look back it’s been a long haul and very rewarding one. I owe a lot to Penn State.” Retired and living in State College, Pa, Garban, 70, is married to his second wife Mary Ann. He has three children, Donna, Andrew and Douglas. Garban still has a soft spot for Fayette County. “No question – it was a great place to grow up,” Garban said. “You learned the values of life and you learned how to work hard and you learned to be honest and truthful. You learned a lot of things in those coal mining patches.”

Now I’m mad. Jer’s additional atty, Karl Rominger, starts out making the most asinine statements.

“Some of these kids don’t have basic hygiene skills,” attorney Karl Rominger said. “Teaching a person to shower at the age of 12 or 14 sounds strange to some people, but people who work with troubled youth will tell you there are a lot of juvenile delinquents and people who are dependent who have to be taught basic life skills like how to put soap on their body.”

Rominger…added that his college cross country coach often showered with the team.”

OoooKay. And you do this, as Jer once alledgedly did, at 9:30 on Fri nite in a locker room with no one else around?

And that’s a bit different from a college sports coach showering with college-aged students all together in a locker room, isn’t it?

Or, are Jer’s attys as out of touch with what’s “normal” as he presents himself to be?

Amendola’s statement that Jer is just physical and expressive (paraphrasing) in a similar way to Amendola’s Italian family—that’s annoying. I married into an Italian family so Italian that they call spaghetti sauce “gravy”. And they are affectionate. But never have they showered with anyone’s children, much less rubbed up against them. How offensive and insulting to one’s intelligence.

Although it might play with an O.J. jury. Or a group of Jer’s true peers—i.e., fixated, semi-delusional pedophiles.

How do you say shameful without curse words or phrases that articulate that any person that could vociferate such drivel, that they do NOT believe themselves, are in violation of a code that will glow on their skin they cannot see themselves, similar to antagonized plankton in a night sea.

Stay the fight, folks. Remember the sleestacks? They will go back in the hole when challenged.

    Read more: http://www.centredaily.com/2011/12/14/3020428/amendola-sandusky-waived-hearing.html#ixzz1gYVbFVqx

Reported there, it was the prosecution that contacted Amendola prior to the hearing. And informed him they planned to request an increase in Jer’s bail at the hearing. Again, I had no idea it worked this way at this stage in the game.

In other legal commentary about PA procedures, I read there’s the possibility of a bench trial, and that might appeal to Jer. As well as to whoever is moving heaven and earth in the background of all this and wants Jer to be over and done with.

Newly appointed AAU President Louis Stout reiterated that message several times at the AAU’s national headquarters at Lake Buena Vista, a week after former president Bobby Dodd was accused of sexually abusing three victims over 30 years ago.

Book gave a statement before the U.S. Senate on Tuesday with four recommendations to protect children from sexual abuse:

•Extending — or eliminating — the statutes of limitations for victims to bring a civil lawsuit.

•Withholding federal funding from institutions that fail to report or conceal allegations of abuse.

•Expanding federal criminal jurisdiction to prosecute crimes that occur on university campuses or at university sanctioned events.

•Add childhood sexual abuse to the list of crimes that must be reported in crime statistics collected under the Clery Act.

It’s a sad day when children can’t trust adults. But it’s the world we live in now and one we must fight to change.
