An Open Letter to Penn State University President Rodney Erickson
With much respect -Do what I say, and do it today.
Hire the best Public Relations firm in the country for PSU’s needs. I am redacting that recommendation for the publication of this open letter, but it is included in my email to you. Don’t spend the time or manpower to run through the approved vendor lists and bid it out- not that kind of gig. The Board of Trustees can WebEx if necessary and this is the kind of emergency proxy was invented for.
Once retained, have the agency facilitate meetings through their agents with Bill Parcells and Bill Cowher immediately. Specify no leaks to the press until after they occur and by mutual agreement. Cowher may be the low hanging fruit on this one, he is returning to CBS next year.
If neither is interested in a head coach commitment of an 8-1 Big Ten team, follow their recommendations about who to contact next and ask them; beg if necessary, if they would be willing to consider a consulting gig for the recruitment process. Urban Myer is a fine coach and leader, but regardless of who PSU ultimately chooses, efforts to rebuild the PSU brand must start with a nationally recognizable face of a trusted and respected winner, like yesterday.
Champions attract champions and without that, it is like asking collegiate coaching candidates to walk into the lion’s den (pun intended) wearing a raw steak necklace. You will not even get one to tour Lasche, trust me on this.
This strategy would likely also include a public facing spokesperson effort, and worth every penny if that is all you can get a commitment for from either coach.
Pay them to sit in the lobby. Pay them to ride the elevator a few times, but get them on grounds. Pay them to have a motivational meeting with the team.
If you have some strong players they could attach to quickly and produce an “I remember when I was a young fig on the tree” memory synapses, it couldn’t hurt.
Instruct all team members never to roll the eyes should the phrase “When I was your age we played ball with pads made of glass and never wore cleats in the snow”; if they told me that I would believe it.
This is the kind of benchmarking that will revitalize wilting spirits of a young athlete, and the parents with the trembling hand over the eject button.
Half the free world is digging old milk cartons out of the recyclables to see if they recognize any kids they may have seen with Sandusky or on the sidelines of a game- they need a new visual association.
As you already know, if you are lucky enough to get this far, they will advise you to release every staffer from the interim athletic director to the water boys that were ever part of Paterno’s camp or rolled up his pants before the game. Do it.
This might be a good time to allow a try before they buy scenario if either are willing, as “guest coaches” to finish the season.
While I am at it, I might suggest a reality miniseries of the process- I know some folks from HBO familiar with the Hard Knocks of football, I would be glad to make a connection.
Donate those proceeds to Coach Parcells or Coach Cowher’s disadvantaged children’s charity of choice which is vetted in advance by a specially appointed member chosen by the new Ethics officer.
Point is, you need immediate public support and that will require immediate damage control or your Titanic does not even have the measly lifeboat option.
The public perception is that there is more to this horror movie after the commercial, and the commercials are disappearing as well.
Your job is to employ the resources that can change the channel when the public is not looking, and forget what they were watching in favor of the new programming, which includes sponsors aligned with that audience.
It is about as transparent of a plan as I can offer- with hope and promise to the innocent victims of this tragedy.

Attorneys settle with The Second Mile in Penn State child sex abuse case
[Posted by The Associated Press December 01, 2011, 7:05 PM]
HARRISBURG, Pa. — Attorneys for someone claiming to have been molested by a former Penn State assistant football coach have settled a lawsuit aimed at keeping solvent a charity the coach founded.
This has nothing to do with this thread, but I didn’t know where to ask…so here goes
Just curious if you’ve followed the Gail Palmgren case at all? I’m from the area and her Jeep was discovered yesterday…then today, they released that remains were found nearby as well. They have not been identified yet, but I cannot imagine the remains would be anyone else. Her cell, ID, and other personal information was located with the jeep as well…
The place where the jeep was found is SO steep. They are having trouble even getting a plan together on how to extract the jeep from the side of the mountain.
So, my question is this….since the husband has looked so suspicious throughout this entire case, do you think he has anything to do with it? It’s just so strange. He hasn’t been helpful or cooperative at all. But, it seems as if she might have been upset after the fight they had and wrecked? Or, do you think he killed her and put her in her car and sent her over the side of the mountain?
i heard an interesting rumor months ago, wonder if it connects, now that there is talk of officers.i heard that “someone”is selling houses/land near the great lakes to police officers for 1000.00 ,the reason is said to be “the fresh water” , “in the event ,of a natural disaster” the lakes would be the only fresh water source,so “they” are positioning “certain types” to be in the right position.
Not sure I understand what/if you had a question about that man. At the link he posted his security clearance level in the past tense, as I understood him referring to his military service, and ‘Company’ meaning his military Company (ie, unit)??
“I was in charge of the operations of our Company during our deployment in Iraq…I also maintained a Security Clearance level of Secret.”
Couple of my contacts just now said if you’re in the military and above the level of a clerk, you basically get a ‘Secret’ level just for showing up for work.
On another note, none of them, who have, um, much higher clearance levels than that have ever heard they’d risk them by publishing them. And it’s common to do so on one’s website, ex, to let potential employers know what level projects you can work on. Hope they don’t get in trouble for that! They don’t tell the local reporter who’s covering the block party, or anything.
LE knew about Sandusky’s little Victims-dinner last summer–ahead of time. They asked Victim Two to wear a wire. A wire! He declined, said he was nervous, but reported all the details of the dinner back to LE. Yea!!
Howard A. Janet is the attorney for Victim Six and his family. He was reacting to how Amendola tried to spin that dinner. This is more of Sara Ganim’s reporting, at the Patriot-News:
“Janet said the dinner poses more questions.
“Why was he arranging to meet with victims while under investigation? Was he trying to tamper with or improperly influence potential witnesses?” he wrote. “Was trying to use the victims’ attendance at dinner to discredit their accusations against him part of a devious strategic plan of defense? …”
Sandusky is truly astounding. I like Blink’s term ‘arrogance’. Can’t figure out if they’re drunk with power around there or just operating with less than a full deck. Or both.
Imo DOD personnel trained in outplacement to mention sec clearance on Linked In because DOD private sector contractors require that. Agree with what “secret” means re soldiers (sorry, but we read about one Iraq soldier’s tragic data dump.). Other govt outplacement job search counselors also push LinkedIn’s use (personal experience).
The link to Mr. Diehl is interesting. Based on what I can see, this guy has engaged in multiple jobs at the same time. He is a part of the Pennsylvania National Guard. His time at the Shaad agency may be part time during his attendance at school (four years with a political science degree)
I believe this resume to be more than a little “pumped up”. It would be fun to interview Mr. Diehl with regard to how he accomplished all that he claims.
Your link to Judicial Watch is to an organization that has as its purpose the exposure and prosecution of public officials who have abused their position and broken the laws.
IMO someone living in Pennsylvania would be the person or perhaps more than one, to contact this organization regarding the York County problems and the problems at PSU and the Second Mile Foundation.
Corrupt courts are one of my pet peeves. Most of the time the punishment for this type of crime is IMO far too light. Just today I read of a case in Knoxville, Tennessee about a judge that was on dope and everyone at the court knew about it. He was also involved in back room deals with attorneys that should never be done. This kind of guy needs to be taken out and executed with a firing squad when convicted. So York County, Pennsylvania is not alone with corruption and criminal activity infecting the court system.
I have read two reports by news organizations today that are saying that money is being transfered from Second Mile to another Non-profit that has activities to help the victims of rape. In addition PSU is supposedly transfering “1.5 million to the same organization.
At 42 years old, I have decided I am still niave. I am still that young woman sitting next to her Poppa, who always called me by my first and middle name before asking me a question which I knew was the start of my lesson for the visit.
This time it was- do you know what the word humility means? I won’t go into that private conversation with my beloved grandfather I miss daily, but the point is, I have always associated such attributes like integrity, tenacity, and yes, humility, with people of great power and positions of public trust.
Needing police to police the police, and so on, is just a contemporary necessity. The notion of the little people is alive and well, and divides us in the ways it has for hundreds of years instead of uniting as human beings united in our pursuits of all things.. we the people.
I should maybe explain why I linked to that former-Schaad man. It was at random, in the sense that I know nothing about him. However, people LIKE him, perhaps–former employees of Schaad agency, might be useful. Especially to locals, who are reading here, if not posting.
I found him by google searching “Schaad Detective Agency Officer”. There are other ways to search. I turned up several people that way. He was the highest-placed I saw.
About that man: looks like his employment with Schaad ended, IIRC, around the time that Wantz was caught up in the prostitution sting. Maybe that man didn’t like what Wantz was up to. Maybe he didn’t know all the time. Or, maybe he did, all along. Locals might know–or find out.
And not that it matters, but couldn’t Wantz get all the hookers he wanted? I think this was a job interview for a new recruit, and that time, he got caught.
I have great faith in the locals who not only are better placed to follow up on rumors that never hit the press, but are also more invested in cleaning up their communities. However, they might be more fearful because of the shown treachery of these criminals.
NOTE: Blink follow up, and reports info to LE using her own name–not yours. To get info to Blink only, and not posted here, just start your msg “PRIVATE MESSAGE TO BLINK”.
Thank you beejay for that reminder, and you are correct.

I have no interest in reading (or hearing–there’s audio) a pedophile and his attorney spin his behavior around his victims. However, I will provide the link below; NY Times got the “scoop”
There’s one informative thing I read, which may not be true, but true or not, it should serve as a caution to parents who trust in background checks.
“…Sandusky had undergone repeated background checks clearing him to work with children.”
Well, isn’t that reassuring?
JS and atty are making public statements to “clarify” who knew what and when. I’m beyond disgusted.
Article title: Center of Penn State Scandal, Sandusky Tells His Own Story
Well I do NOT know what background checks they are referring to, but I surmise it is just the $10 criminal record variety. Duh.
What are the legal requirements to adopt a child in PA in terms of background checks?
Who were his character references, who spoke to the PO’s of his foster kids and adopted kids?
Btw, who approved those adoptions and foster placement without review and discussion of the 1998 investigation by PA Department of welfare? Lots of blame to go around here and I do not see any of those names cropping up.
In Amendola’s own words, an interesting comment from a few days back, about what his client knew and when. And let’s think about witness-tampering, intimidation and bribes.
“Amendola…confirmed when they got word of the Attorney General’s investigation of Sandusky they hired a private investigator.
“Starting with the first allegation as set forth in the presentment regarding alleged Victim 1, yes we had a private investigator check in on that about three years ago.””
So, has it not yet dawned on JS that this atty, who has traditionally defended PSU football players, and was likely known to JS in that role–is either incompetent or doesn’t have Sandusky’s best interests at heart?
Where is the REALLY big money and power behind all this?
After watching the NYT video, I am 1000% positive that Jerry Sandusky is a classic pedophile, and that nobody expects him to have a day in court of any kind.
B
I didn’t keep what I found on Raykovitz and his wife, but here’s today’s finding, complete with CYA by Midstep Centers for Child Development in State College. Bears deeper investigation.
“Dr. Raykovitz maintained a part-time private practice at Midstep, providing individual and family therapy to children…
Just watched Sandusty interview this early morning
I sware he is just pathetic
We are to believe he is just a big Teddy bear
Who loves all kids
I guess
I wonder if he is even very smart after seeing him
MOO
Blink–Your lack of jadedness speaks of your goodness. This is gonna not fit exactly, but remember the movie Pretty Woman? The streetwalking hooker was hired by the rich businessman who did corporate takeovers and dismantled, sold the companies. He ran with the new monied rich, la-la-la.
He walked in on her in the bathroom, thought she was doing drugs. But she was flossing her teeth to remove strawberry seeds.
He, surprised at her innocence, said (paraphrasing): people rarely surprise me.
She said: they shock the hell out of me.
Long way to get to: those of us who think we’ve seen it all are continually shocked at the evil we find. Me personally, I’m like the whore.
For those of you who are working systematically to answer Blink’s questions about the Sanduskys’ foster care and adoption caseworkers and investigations:
Just randomly, I found that starting 2008 The Second Mile started selecting Professional Partner of the Month, who they recognized in their newsletters. Figuring some of those people might be longtermers in the fostercare system, I followed this trail:
Cindy Miele, Casework Supervisor, Centre County Children & Youth Services, made a comment about TSM’s Feb 2009 Pro Partner.
Searching for Cindy Miele, farther back, I found a court case, an appeal in 2001 by a parent whose child was removed from her home by Centre County CYS. Reading thru the court doc I see that Miele was in that position in 2000; how much farther back, IDK. And, interestingly enough, MidStep Centers for Child Development did a psychological workup on the child.
“Cynthia Miele, CYS case work supervisor, testified that CYS
recommended maintaining C.J.R.’s placement with Foster Parents.
…During [child's initials redacted by me]time in placement, CYS, through its reunification services, requested a psychological evaluation from Mid-Step Child Development Center that was finalized by report on September 6, 2000.”
Caseworker names and others professional names are in that document. I’m basically showing you sleuths how readily you can find stuff by tickling your keyboards. And putting up some names for locals to see.
Blink: yes ma’m; always honored to be here. And my pleasure to work on behalf of these victims. We need to increase our little army that works on THEIR behalf.
Question to anyone: the mother of Sandusky’s child, who objected to his continued placement there, is the child-victim’s name the last name as hers?
I cant have that on here, I do not want the child identified, but I will say that you know enough about a PA Welfare investigation and pending legal actions to answer that question.
Eventually, this case needs to be eviscerated carefully to create a profile to alert and educate.
IF he is preying on any and all young boys as opposed to non-relatives, or some other brand of sick, it is important to the advocate learning curve.
B
In my experience adoption check is merely criminal, with fingerprints.
One adoption was of an adult, no character refs needed (maybe why Jer waited? Or to keep foster care checks coming til 18?)
home studies are usually done by private agencies. They don’t have access to CPSD records of reporting, but if they did, the case must have been marked “unfounded” after investigation or something would’ve happened as a consequence at the time. Private agencies check references, but there were plenty of good refs for ‘ol Jer.

Blink, I’m pretty sure that the last adoption (of a legal adult) was in 1997. All of the other adoptions were many years earlier.
agreed, what about the subsequent foster kids in their care?
B
The adult adoption did not occur earlier because the biological mother had not had parental rights terminated, and it is not AT ALL clear to me (and apparently not to the social worker or mother either) why he had been placed in JS’s custody as a foster child as a teenager.
There could be a variety of reasons that it occurred when he reached 18, some purely financial.
snips>
Katia Maria Davis, 44, was arrested last Wednesday at her home in Laguna Nigel, Calif., on suspicion of having sex with a minor under 16 and committing lewd acts with a minor younger than 14.
Both boys were members of the youth hockey team Beach City Lightning, the same team as Davis’ son.
Anyone else wondering who JS was showering with from ’08-last month?
Sandusky, in the interview, said his interaction with children involved with the Second Mile charity was not curtailed until 2008, when he informed the charity’s executive director, Jack Raykovitz, that he had become the subject of a molestation investigation after allegations by a high school freshman that Sandusky had mentored.
I guess I never listened to a person talk like Sandusky before
He just floors me admitting blowing on tummies, touching legs, hugs in the showers with boys
Then says he misses his grandchildren and dog
To much for me
What I am missing here is Sandusky does not seem to be taking this
Serious
Like he thinks if he explains we will all understand and it will go away
Is this common Blink?
@Malty, I can’t imagine how this person achieved his degree of success in his career and in Second Mile. He just can’t be the brains; imo, someone had to know his proclivities and somehow see that in combination with his sports position as an opportunity. My non-evil brain just can’t take it much further than that.
Seeing/hearing these interviews does make me realize that it is entirely possible that Paterno (or others) telling him he would never be head coach at Penn State had nothing at all to do with either Second Mile or pedophilia. Can you visualize what his press conferences would have been like? How on earth did he have any measure of success with recruiting or coaching?
You know, I don’t remember the old interviews being this bad. Maybe some kind of dementia has set in (seriously).
Lizzy, I am interested in your take on the mental accuity of JS.
I will force myself to listen to more of the interview for signs
of dementia. Could be, but I don’t think he’s too bright to start
with.
He very well may have been used by others with more brains, but the
disconnect in his heart and soul is completely his own undoing.
Sandusky’s giggle and I don’t know shrugs make me want to throw up. Why will the man at this point in his life not just tell the truth and spare a few people???? Amendola (sp) is rocking his chair so hard he looks like he is going to blast off into space. He will wish he could before this mess is over.
Some of the other video clips that I watched over the Thanksgiving weekend are no longer available.
Note that there are some of the hand-to-face and eyes-diverted mannerisms when he talks about kids already, but the overall speech patterns are much more intelligent. Some decline seems apparent by 2007, imo.
Was he drugged for the NYT interview? Drinking? Hasn’t slept in weeks? Or suffering from dementia?

“Blink: Someone knows something we do not, or that man never opens his mouth publicly, period.”
I hear you, Blink. Strong evidence: I watched an interview of JB’s current client along with JB himself (cword’s attorney) yesterday as well. JB was doing a MUCH better job than Amendola of protecting his client. SO . . .
Is Sandusky expecting to disappear like Gricar did? And just wants to go on the record first?
Amendola just seems like he’s a short-term babysitter.
Thanks Lizzy for your response I agree
Thanks Word Girl for the link about what Dotty may have known
I am not following this case real close but try to catch what Sandusky
says and what makes him tick (?)
I see many people are distrubed as I am with his interviews
As I am
From the NYT interview: Ray came to the Sanduskys as a foster child in 9th grade, and was adopted at 18. They did not raise him from infancy.
Maybe you knew this, but I thought the youngest was the only one that came to them this way, but it turns out the oldest did, too.
JS struggled around some when he started discussing this saying “He’s not, he’s not, he’s not the . . . (awkward laughter) . . . it’s Ray” but never continued to say where he was going with this.
Also in the NYT audio, the “Growing Up” clip has some very disturbing elements to it, in the present context. Laugh, laugh, Dottie wasn’t his first love, but he didn’t have many girlfriends or anything like that. One of the mentally disabled young men he knew was upset that he wouldn’t be able to see him any more after JS got married. Why not? etc.
Sorry, I know many of you don’t want to listen to this, and I’ve read quite a bit of criticism of the interview style, but dont’ worry, it is NOT positive PR for JS.
Blink yes it bothers me Sandusky does
Not look at the interviewer
The whole mess of distroyed lives
And he acts like he is abused
Or it is some misunderstanding
Only his dog understands
A bunch of lawyers talked about Amendola’s possible thinking in letting Sandusky rattle on. Here’s one worth considering, IMO. Snips:
“Cohen said that since prosecutors don’t have to present extensive evidence at the proceeding[the upcoming preliminary hearing, set now for Dec 13], conventional wisdom says Amendola should waive the hearing “and wait to see to what extent you can punch holes in the testimony at trial.”
But he said Amendola “may be trying to force the prosecutors to come forward with actual evidence from all the victims to counter this publicity he’s putting out there. … He may feel he’s forcing the attorney general to put on live witnesses at the preliminary hearing, who will then be questioned about events 10 or 12 years ago and may testify at the hearing differently on some details than they did to the grand jury, and he’ll have two prior inconsistent statements when they testify at trial.”
Cohen said that’s the only legal strategy he could think of.
Seriously, can they ever just say- we have no idea because unless he is trying to intentionally convict his client there is no earthly reason to let him yak?
Cohen does not know that it is illegal to name a sexual assault.abuse victim who some may also be a minor publicly? The prosecution has no need to say bupkiss.
B
“…Paterno had close business ties with board members of The Second Mile, The Daily has learned.
Around…2002…Paterno and three fellow investors, including longtime Second Mile board chairman Robert Poole, had just secured financing to build a $125 million luxury retirement community, according to public records.
[partnered with that same group]…developing a golf resort and nearby restaurant and inn. He has also partnered with other current and former Second Mile board members on a bottled water company, a coaching website and a chain of convenience stores.”
“…Pinnacle Development, one-half of the developer team that built The Village at Penn State, included Paterno, Poole, William Schreyer — a Penn State trustee whose daughter is a longtime board member of The Second Mile — and local developer Philip Sieg.”
Briefly at Kinkos, able to type a longer thought. Have wanted to respond to the foster care question, Blink, for a long time. I mentioned minors could not be placed with JS through the child neglect branch of the public social services dept without (l) a requested and signature for temporary care (usu NTE 3 months) by parent(s); (2) a court order of such placement based on a finding of neglect. I realized the way, then, they came into care was through the junvenile detention system. Despite the barn burning being after the one boy went in foster care wtih JS, there must have been something prior — school truancy perhaps. or, a finding he was a “person in need of supervision” because parent could not control him. A Court would have had to placed him there somehow as part of a detention process imo if it didn’t come through the child neglect court system (and what mother would disclose that, so we don’t know if that’s how he originally got there). Anyway, I have a long ago memory of sitting in Court all day waiting for my neglect case(s) to be called, and some cases were juvenile cases. Quite often the better defense attornies, at least those with the Public Defender Office, would arrange an alternative placement for the juvenile in question. They would do it in advance so they could stand up and tell the judge “X House” has agreed to take him, and so the judge would so order the kid to that non-profit’s care. x Houses usually had a variety of services, but they also had group homes.
so, I think this is why Second Mile originally started up, imo, as a foster care providing institution. I think it was for kids in the juvenile system — in the first steps that direction. I think JS could not be a foster parent for kids in that system directly, as one could for child neglect cases if licensed or related, so he needed 2nd mile to exist to take custody. Then the govt would pay 2nd Mile, and 2nd Mile would pay him for group home care or whatever. Reading the 2nd Mile’s purposes now on IRS 990s on Guidestar, it is clear they no longer have a corporate purpose of foster care provision as they initially did. In fact, their purposes on those IRS forms are pretty ridiculous and namby pamby, imo, in the way of “service provision.” As Jeff would say, “Just my thoughts.”
Obviously he couldn’t adopt them til age l8 or foster care money would stop and also parental consent for termination of parental rights would be required. The question is why DID he adopt them at l8. College tuition discount is one reason someone offered.
IMO he probably always had neurocognitive challenges. Some neuropsych testing now would be interesting.
And, I have wondered if any interviews were paid and therefore his attorney’s means to get paid.
Therefore, on November 30, The Village filed a voluntary petition under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code, and will ask the court to approve the transaction as well as procedures designed to implement a fair and open process to allow other responsible operators to try and outbid Liberty Lutheran to acquire VPS.
It is important to know that our agreement with Liberty Lutheran and the requisite Chapter 11 filing is the result of a process that VPS began well over two years ago when the challenges in the economy and real estate markets put added pressure on the waning finances of the existing community.

Or both.
Interesting assessment on security clearance and when, why, how to disclose it. Ironic that miltary.com advises disclosure can raise a salary 5k!
http://govwin.com/lindleyashline_blog/should-you-disclose-your-security/99543
Very interesting reading, I think on a resume can be worded in a way as to not seem overt?
B

Sad commentary, I know, but it is what it is.
B

At:
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/03/sports/ncaafootball/at-center-of-penn-state-scandal-sandusky-tells-his-own-story.html
B
In Amendola’s own words, an interesting comment from a few days back, about what his client knew and when. And let’s think about witness-tampering, intimidation and bribes.
“Amendola…confirmed when they got word of the Attorney General’s investigation of Sandusky they hired a private investigator.
“Starting with the first allegation as set forth in the presentment regarding alleged Victim 1, yes we had a private investigator check in on that about three years ago.””
link:
http://www.wjactv.com/news/news/sanduskys-attorney-reacts-lawsuit/nFqnT/
Three years ago.
…He is no longer seeing patients here.”
http://www.midstep.com/raykovitz/
Link:
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?hl=en&gbv=2&gs_sm=s&gs_upl=2956l2956l0l4218l1l1l0l0l0l0l211l211l2-1l1l0&q=cache:hC_9IB89D9IJ:http://www.thesecondmile.org/news/ProfPartner/2009/February.php+Foster+Home+Specialist+of+the+Centre+County+Office+of+Children+and+Youth+Services.&ct=clnk
…During [child's initials redacted by me]time in placement, CYS, through its reunification services, requested a psychological evaluation from Mid-Step Child Development Center that was finalized by report on September 6, 2000.”
link:
http://www.courts.state.pa.us/OpPosting/Superior/out/s51011_01.pdf
Caseworker names and others professional names are in that document. I’m basically showing you sleuths how readily you can find stuff by tickling your keyboards. And putting up some names for locals to see.
More recipients of TSM’s Pro Partner award at:
http://www.thesecondmile.org/news/ProfPartner/profPrevious.php
Blink: Ooops! If you want to redact the other occurrence of that child’s initials, it’s in the line just above my other redactment. Sorry.
Not that this has anything to do with the matter at hand. But, then, IDK either way.
reviewing now, I thank you for the mentoring to those who might like to research along with you.

@beejay re yr link to MidStep.
He specialized in “school adjustment” issues. Fertile ground for 2nd Mile recruitment, imo.

The adult adoption did not occur earlier because the biological mother had not had parental rights terminated, and it is not AT ALL clear to me (and apparently not to the social worker or mother either) why he had been placed in JS’s custody as a foster child as a teenager.
There could be a variety of reasons that it occurred when he reached 18, some purely financial.

Thoughts on whether or not Dottie knew…

So Amendola just sits there and lets Jo Becker hand Sandusky this much rope.

He yells from the corner on occasion while multi-tasking, and Jerry looks over at him frequently.
Did it bother anyone else that he rarely looks at the interviewer?
This is what I am saying, have been saying-
Someone knows something we do not, or that man never opens his mouth publicly, period.
B
“I’m going to miss my dog.”
Sandusky clearly does not anticipate to be home with his dog much longer, does he?
Sandusky’s giggle and I don’t know shrugs make me want to throw up. Why will the man at this point in his life not just tell the truth and spare a few people???? Amendola (sp) is rocking his chair so hard he looks like he is going to blast off into space. He will wish he could before this mess is over.
“Word Girl says:

Well said.
Although his words and manner may be disturbing in hindsight, this 1987 interview features a much more articulate Sandusky, with an aw-shucks manner of speech.

As I am
Has anyone else found a Penn State employee, Penn State contributor (endowment), and registered sex offender, who all share the same name?
Is this the same person? And do we care?
Just looking for others who might have been in on Sandusky’s “party”.
It’s under “The Sandusky Family” audio here: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2011/12/03/sports/ncaafootball/20111202-sandusky-audio.html
Cohen said that’s the only legal strategy he could think of.
link:
http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2011/12/jerry_sanduskys_willingness_to.html

It is important to know that our agreement with Liberty Lutheran and the requisite Chapter 11 filing is the result of a process that VPS began well over two years ago when the challenges in the economy and real estate markets put added pressure on the waning finances of the existing community.
