Morgan Harrington Case: Plea to Possible Witness From VSP
Charlottesville,
Though investigators have confirmed that Harrington was last seen hitchhiking at 9:30 that night, they do not have sufficient evidence to prove or disprove that she fell victim to foul play, Geller said. In addition, police were able to retrieve Harrington’s purse and necklace but have not yet located a red digital camera that they believe was in her possession at the time of her disappearance.
Blink on crime has been able to confirm directly with Connie Geller, Public Relations Manager for the Virginia State Police: Morgan Harrington’s necklace has not been recovered, nor has Ms. Geller ever made such a statement regarding same.
However, there is recent developments that seem to infer that Ms. Harrington’s credit or debit card may have been used following her disappearance from the John Paul Jones Arena the evening of October 17, 2009.
“We’d hate to have anyone who just picked her up and dropped her at a gas station [to be reluctant to talk to us] because that person holds a very vital key to finding more information,” Geller said. “Investigators are willing to work with that person because right now the focus is on finding Morgan and bringing her back to her family.”
Even persons who have not seen Harrington since her disappearance can still be of assistance to the investigation, Geller said. For example, if anyone has noticed someone else acting strangely since around the time of the disappearance, he or she is encouraged to report the information.
Both Ms. Geller and Dr. Harrington have declined to answer the question as to whether or not Morgan’s card was used citing “investigative purposes.”
The last verified comments regarding a possible Morgan sighting and a gas station center around an account of a woman claiming to have seen her outside at a Sheetz station in Orange, VA the following morning of October 18th. Ms. Geller stated the VSP could not “disprove” this sighting, although their is no surveillance footage on the store security camera.

Oh, God — just read the news —
the news we thought was coming and now that it’s here —
Oh, God –
Observer and all, if they are searching with grid maps for evidence this means that they believe foul play was involved. There isnt a chance she could have wandered there on her own accord?
I believe you wrote, that the heavy rains may have helped in the discovery of Morgan. It makes me ill to type this but does that mean they buried her in a shallow grave?
P.s I am glad you are back, sorry it is under the saddest of conditions.

Just a few months before this, my friend disappeared from the Dave Matthews concert in DC. She woke up on the side of a road later that night, with cuts and bruises. Her purse was found outside the concert venue. She has no memory of even leaving the concert. Thank God she’s ok, but her experience, coupled with Morgan’s disappearance, and one other concert disappearance I heard about this year in VA make me think someone is out there preying on women at concerts.
My thoughts are with the Morgans.
The above is a comment I brought over from today’s Hook article. Has anyone here ever heard of this incident at the Dave Matthews concert in DC?
I am deeply saddened to hear the news.
My deepest sympathies to the entire Harrington family for their profound loss.
May the love and prayers of so many carry you through this most difficult time.
Sky are you Okay?
Thank you for sharing your personal story Ohiomom. I hope that is not the case’
DTA thankyou for your kind words. Peace to all my friends here, My condolences to Morgan’s family.
There are no words……
We had all hoped for a miracle.
My deepest sorrow that our “shiny” Morgan is gone, but
my greatest joy is that she has been found!
How can this be?
I pray that our love will continue to sustain the Harringtons.
A hug to all of you…
Hugs back.

I am so sorry to hear this news. My prayers are with the Harrington family. I had hoped that she would be found alive. I hope that they get enough evidence and dna so that they find the SOB that did this. I have a question, is this on the way to/from JMU?

I am also so very very angry. I’m with you Angie. They must find whoever is responsible.
I don’t usually post so much but I found this site the other day on accident when I was doing a search for early information on Morgan’s disappearance. I tried to search through the comments here to see if someone had already posted but I got lost somewhere after the first 45 minutes. I’m sure it’s on here somewhere ya’ll are too quick to miss something like this. But just in case I thought I’d leave the link, the 5th comment is the oddest thing and the date is November 09. http://uaddit.com/discussions/showthread.php?t=5574
Gerta, Hello , no one has posted that before. Knowing what we know now it is very strange. By the way welcome to BOC. Blink, did you see this?
I hope it was just someone thinking out loud and know one actually involved.
