Kyron Horman Case: Uncle Kristian Horman Is Convicted Of Child Molestation Charges
Seattle, WA– Kristian S Horman, Uncle to missing 7 year old Kyron Horman, was sentenced yesterday for his conviction on charges of child molestation. He was incarcerated immediately.

Kristian Horman is being held without bail in Snohomish County, WA. He was arrested in January 2009, and although his trial was delayed due to several continuances, there appears to be multiple arrests on his record, some of which are unaccessible to the public.
It is unclear if Horman’s arrest is related to Kyron Horman’s disappearance.

This would be a pretty dismal coincidence if these charges were unrelated, but its also hard to imagine someone being so stupid. A family member showing up at a public place to snatch a child and just make him disappear. This person would have to be anticipating that nobody would interfere with his plans at the school, ask who he was or even be spotted and quicker to identify being a family member (since its generally where LE starts looking at potential suspects first. Unless he was strategically crouched under the window only within Kyron’s earshot whispering, “Psssst…Kyron, its Uncle Kristian. Don’t tell anyone I’m here, its a surprise. I’m gonna take you fishing. I’m parked across the street….”
Otherwise, this person would have to be so desperate or dumb to try and pull this off at a school – pure luck to have seemingly gotten away with it thus far.
If this arrest is related to the case, maybe its based on enough speculation from a prior event and reason for police to hold him for direct, hard questioning on Kyron.
It’s Kaine Hormans Brother (Kyron’s Father). Which =’s Kyron’s uncle.
I have been reading through court documents for hours. He molested his daughter from his first marriage. Ex-wife’s name is listed in documents. He was first arrested in 2009 and he just went to trial yesterday 06/16/2010. However, his ex-wife has had a Protective Order against him since 2008.I assume it was in place to protect her kids (and his). Anyways, he i a creep and if he would harm his daughter, he would harm his nephew. There something very wrong with this whole situation and it gets creepier each day. Unfortunately, Kyron is still missing.
Within the past hour or so, Kristian Horman’s court documents (which WERE open and accessible online) were “archived” and “access closed”.
I posted the criminal cases but redacted victim statement.

Hmm, does anyone know if Kristian Horman (from washington) drives a gray pick-up truck? There was that tip from a truck driver heading to Portland who almost collided with a grey pick-up truck on route 26 in Washington county. He saw a scared little boy peering out the passenger side and distinctly remembered his face when he saw the news that night. I know the FBI has already followed up on this tip and wondering if anything came about. It could of just been a boy that resembled Kyron, who was simply scared by the near car accident, but most little boys would’ve been in school that time of day….

Kyron’s 16 year old step-brother has been living with his maternal Grandparents, for the past three or so months. I always found this a little odd, to move a 16 year old boy 2/3 the way through the school year. So, was there problems at home~could he be the victim of this uncle? Maybe Kyron knew something? Or maybe was a victim, as well? Dear God~please just bring this little boy home…safe and soon…

Tonight I find myself awake in the wee hours, following some links from Scared Monkeys – and feel a wave of panic & nausea coming over me as some of these pieces begin to fit together. I am so afraid for this darling little guy.
It appears as though Kaine & Kristian’s father, R. Neil Horman, is a children’s author. His stories take place in the Washington wilderness – perhaps even near to where they have been searching. Called “Rolf’s Hideout” & “Dennis’ Den” in the books, I have a sick feeling that this ‘storybook place’ may in all actuality be a real live location where children are lured . . . and what if where Kyron can be found? What a perfect way to get a child to go with someone . . . as in, “hey, want go to the hideout?” . . Per the book, one can even catch frogs there.

Does this describe an area where we should be looking? Is this near the Sauvie Island area?
The books/website even showcase children’s drawings . . . what a way to make a child feel special! . . . and we know what an exceptional artist Kyron is. The stories invoke exploring, getting lost & disappearing, & trusting adults.
Could this possibly be another family whose twisted legacy of abuse is being passed down to yet another generation? (a la clan Lawless) Brother Kristian’s indictment surely raises the red flags, no?
It is not so difficult to imagine Kyron readily going with a family member “to the hideout to find a live frog for his science exhibit.” Would also explain the family & LE’s silence if this legacy has been brewing for awhile now. . .
All just my thoughts; I may be way off base. But my gut is really turning with this new info.
Sweet bespectacled little Kyron reminds me so much of my son when he was a little guy . . . such pure innocence. He’s a big 6’6″ 22 year old now; and I have often bemoaned the loss of that wide-eyed young sweetness. Don’t believe I will be doing that any more. . . How lucky am I that I still get to have him with me.

Uncy Kristian was due for sentencing on the 16th in another case.
Im sorry I must post again on this, my interest hasn’t been perked by a case like this for months. So I had to speak with an old acquaintance of mine about it today – this family is holding some very odd secrets. The book, the colourful history of the brother, the odd movements of SM on the day – Im also hearing of a ‘friend’ with an unsavoury track record.
The CONTINUED unity of the family disturbs me.
Why is it that every time one of these cases crops up, a sordid tale of bottom feeding family members & friends is unraveled and topped off with a series of forseeable (thus preventable)events which lead to the demise of these precious children? When will parents wake up and start to protect their children from the monsters they invite into their lives?

WTH is wrong with people? This week in Winchester, MA a man (I use that term loosely) killed his family. Mother-in-law, wife, two children – 2 and 4 years old.
Pretty scarey when we can’t even trust our family.

“(1) A person is guilty of child molestation in the third degree when the person has, or knowingly causes another person under the age of eighteen to have, sexual contact with another who is at least fourteen years old but less than sixteen years old and not married to the perpetrator and the perpetrator is at least forty-eight months older than the victim.”
if you read this closely,it seems to have a more sinister meaning. He would have had to cause two minors to have sexual contact with each other. nasty!
Now I am wondering whether Kristian Scott Horman is Kyron’s real father, but that the DNA test did not distinguish between the brothers.

Does this ever end……it is all starting to make sense. So this CREEP if finally in jail….GOOD for the most part. But…..he was free “bond” all this time? Hmmmmm. Something stinks here. Is it possible he was or did molest this child? For the life of me I do not understand how a child walked into school by his step-mom, to the classroon no less…VANISH! If I am not mistaking, I am sure I read that his bookbag was actually on his desk. After reading the story Blink and the posts……This guy should have been locked up long ago…Laws really need to be changed when it comes to molesters and or possible molesters……Keeping them locked up until they are proven GUILTY or NOT GUILTY…No exceptions… I pray they

Tams – Snohomish is nowhere near Sauvie Island, which is in the Portland area. Snohomish County is north of Seattle – about 3.5 hours away (not including traffic).
Found a site which lists District 5 Mason Lodges in WA as of 2005. Down in Lafayette Lodge #241 it lists Kristian Horman as senior deacon and Neil Horman as Senior warden.

Where does he live? Where he was arrested, if not, what was he doing that far north? Was he in Oregon over the night before the science fair?

I find a couple of things interesting about this case.
1) The comment from LE clearly stating that this is an isolated case.
This tells me that they know who did this and it was probably a family member or friend of Kyron.
2) The fact that the police are spending so much time with the family.
I do not know is that is normal unless they are keeping an eye on them (or one of them).
3) Vehicle hauled away by LE for a regular inspection, I am not aware of our tax dollars being used to haul someone’s vehicles for a tune-up; that just sounds fishy. Even it is someone that is victim to a crime.
LE commented that they should just behave as usual, maybe they are behaving as usual themselves to make this family seem at ease with them???

Is this right, the stepmom’s phone is pinging near Sauvie Island, but at the same time she says she is hitting the gym on facebook. She posted this message during the day while Kyron was suppose to be at school, or did she post this after it becomes known he is missing. Is there not a gym near Sauvie Island? I haven’t posted anything about the stepmom before, but I did have a feeling that her actions the day of the press were stange. The bio mom seemed like she wanted to distance herself from this woman. It is sad to think that she brought this child to school and left his booksake at school to look like a child abduction. I wish we could find out where his glasses were found.. I notice the news is talking about this a little more then they were before. I am wondering if the step mom has anything to do with the brother(relationship)?????

Regards to my post at 11:12, I see this incident happened early last year… not this year. That would mean that he was junior warden at the time of the 3rd degree child molestation.

I’m am so frustrated! I understand about LE being so quite about everything, strategy. What I don’t understand is them stating that we check out the family first (Really?) Yet never once mentioned that an uncle had a history of being a perv. WHO are they protecting. The UNCLE. Certainly not Kyron. Even if they didn’t want to name a family member for the sake of his own children. NEVER ONCE did they say “we have reason to believe that he may be in the Seattle area” or “keep your eyes open in X-Y or Z areas because these are places kyron may be at risk” something to that affect.
Did they really check them out? or did they find out about him here first? Or are they just NOW checking? No offense to the police force, It is just that they need to admit that they may not know all that needs to be done to find these children. Times are changing and they need to make a shift somewhere because what they are doing now is NOT working.
MY OPINION. Our nations police forces need to get it together regarding the children in our country. THEY need to utilize the CRIME blogging sites like blink on crime and hinky meter to enhance the efforts. Found R. Neal Horman at another lodge as of recent. Edmonds #165
2009 “Master”(highest ranking officer) and Kristian Horman is also listed as Junior Warden. Both are listed as officers of this lodge in 2008 and 2009. Also listed is a Ross Horman, not sure of the relation.

I have always believed it was a close family friend or an extended family member, but if the step Mom or Dad are involved, this is a new kinda case.

I agree with you Myers. I wondered the same thing – whether the SM had a relationship with the Kyron’s uncle and maybe Kyron found out and was going to tell….also the whole thing with the picture taken at school, the backpack left in class, almost does look staged. Like trying to show too much proof that certain people were NOT involved. I’m now wondering if there were 2 involved. When Kyron last seen with SM in the hallway, SM doesn’t say goodbye, she tells him instead that uncle was waiting for him outside, Kyron passes his class and goes out of the school and gets in a truck driven by the uncle, while the SM went out the other way to be seen leaving alone…all just speculation of course. Can’t help it, the police won’t tell us anything so they have basically promoted all of this speculation. Don’t they realize how much fuel they are adding to the fire? And their explanations have been lame….supposedly they told the family to maintain a normal lifestyle, so that’s why SM posted on her FB website that she was “hitting the gym”? I have NEVER seen a case like this where the family has been SO out of the spotlight as far as statements are concerned. And the photo of the two moms together, the SM hugging the Bio Mom, and the Bio Mom just stands there, doesn’t hug her back. Weird. Also the SM is always looking down, doesn’t look into the camera as the Bio Mom does. Creepy even if she had nothing to do with it.
The “isolated incident” has always stuck with me, that it was someone known to Kyron and not a stranger. How would a stranger just happen to be right between Kyron and his classroom to be able to take him? Only someone who knew Kyron could alter his path without notice…
My hinky meter is going through the roof.

All of a sudden bells are going off inside my head as the dots start really coming together on this sad, sad case. In this entire scenario, we know:
*SM helps Kyron with Science Fair project
*Takes him to school to help set up project
*Takes photo’s of Kyron w/his project
*Walks Kyron ‘almost’ to classroom door
*Leaves the school to go about her day.
*Kyron goes missing, without a trace.
*SM last person ‘known’ to see Kyron.
*Kyron’s backpack and jacket remain on his desk all day, yet SM ‘unaware’ all day long, Kyron never made it to class.
*Kyron not on school bus~SM calls school, teacher then calls 911.
****The search for Kyron Horman begins***
Meanwhile~Leading up to and including present day:
*Kyron’s older step-brother, who just turned 16 this year, moved in with his Maternal Grandparents about three months ago. They live about 200 miles South of Portland, in the same smaller city I live in. His bio-dad and step-mom also live here.
*Uncle Kristian is awaiting his court date, which is June 16th.
*Pretty much the entire family of little Kyron, carry on quite normally…certainly NOT in the manner one would expect in this horrific situation.
*Uncle Kristian’s charges reflect the sexual abuse involved a child between 14 and 16 years of age.
*Again~remember his court date is quickly approaching.
My theory~
*Little Kyron knew ‘too much’ regarding Uncle Kristian’s criminal case.
*Kyron may or may not have been a victim of Uncle Kristian’s.
*Either way, Kyron could NOT be available on June 16th, as a potential witness for the prosecution.
*SOMEONE made sure Kyron was not available on that date.
*Science Fair day was perfect opportunity to ‘hide’ Kyron~ie. busy day, lots of extra people at the school.
*Somehow, SM and/or someone related to Uncle Kristian~or maybe Uncle Kristian, himself, helped to ‘hide’ Kyron.
So~did SM meet up with a ‘trustworthy’ person on Sauvie Island? Is this why it was reported a white truck was seen in the area~twice during the time Kyron first went missing? If Kyron is actually safe and in hiding, is this why the actions, words and lack of emotional/mental stability are not seen by the public? IF the family knows Kyron is safe~think of ‘balloon boy’~emotions appear very scripted. I do NOT believe Kyron’s bio-mom and step-dad are privy to the ‘plan.’ Step-dad is a police officer/detective in Medford, OR…
For the sake of this innocent little boy, I pray to God my theory is right or at least close to what has happened. Bottom line~I PRAY Kyron is alive, safe and will be home SOON!
Thanks Boz, don’t like the feeling I’m getting just lately. I know that 49% of the time it’s a family member but I was just hoping this was not one of those cases. I really thought it was a crime of opportunity or someone that he distantly knew from school but enough to somewhat trust. I’ll save some crow for you and we can dine together.

I think the 2pm live presser on Kyron (time-wise) would be 5pm eastern and 4pm central, if I have that figured out correctly.
