Kyron Horman Case: Uncle Kristian Horman Is Convicted Of Child Molestation Charges
Seattle, WA– Kristian S Horman, Uncle to missing 7 year old Kyron Horman, was sentenced yesterday for his conviction on charges of child molestation. He was incarcerated immediately.

Kristian Horman is being held without bail in Snohomish County, WA. He was arrested in January 2009, and although his trial was delayed due to several continuances, there appears to be multiple arrests on his record, some of which are unaccessible to the public.
It is unclear if Horman’s arrest is related to Kyron Horman’s disappearance.

My first suspicions were on her, of course, but I always believed the suspect was not immediate family, but extended family or friends–someone known to Kyron. Having the older brother live with grandparents was disconcerting, though Blink calmed those nerves with a positive account. It seems he may be there for his own protection.
Posting the Science Fair photos on FB could have been a doting mom or a guilty mom. Hitting the gym spoke of “getting rid of the stress of this case” rather than supporting or assuaging the utter grief of it.
I’ve kept one eye on her and one on the dad (whose public statement seemed distant). Now we find his brother (and family) has been embroiled since 2008 in molestation issues.
Is this why Kyron’s family was under Sheriff’s protection? Violent offender?
Now saying that the PC “has been pushed back a few hours”. Are they just trying to mess with our heads or what?

excerpt from article: KGW has obtained a questionnaire just sent to all the parents which asked, “Did your child see a white Ford F250 pickup truck on 6/4/10 at or near the school?” Police have not said why they were inquiring about this particular type of truck, but Kyron’s step-mother, Terri Horman does drive one. The questionnaire also asked, “Did your child see Kyron’s step-mom, Terri on 6/4/10, at or near the school?”
Other questions are more generic asking if anybody saw Kyron that day.
Question, If the step mom was the one in the white truck seen 1.5 miles from her home at both 3PM June 4th and then 2AM on June 5th, why was she there? They didn’t find anything which leads to Kyron even though that area was searched 2 times by land and air. also, how did she get out of the house at 2 AM to dump a body when the investigation had already began? Who else owns a white truck?

He even named the red squirrel Terri.

Wow I just had to reread the thread. So much information. I am interested in what the storybook might have to do with this in an underlying way, if any. But, I am still having a hard time digesting a possible group effort here, if thats what might be possible. Can they pull the 16yo in without the parents consent to find out what the heck is going on with everyone? What church do these folks belong to? Did I remember reading ? maybe on the other thread about Masons? I could be recalling wrong. This story has become unbelievable.

Police ask for info about Kyron Horman’s stepmom
PORTLAND, Ore. — Investigators trying to find missing Oregon boy Kyron Horman have released a flier asking the public if they saw the boy’s stepmother near Skyline School on the day he vanished.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office also wants to know if anyone saw Terri Horman’s white pickup at or near Skyline on June 4 – the day of the disappearance.
The sheriff’s office has not described Terri Horman as a person of interest in the case.
The 7-year-old went missing after a morning science fair. His absence was reported that afternoon, when he failed to return home on a school bus and his stepmother contacted the school

What we seem to know at this point, it would appear, does point to a close relative. I, however, am confused about the lack of eyewitness accounts during his time at the school and leading up to the abduction. Has it been reported anywhere that Kyron was seen in the school specifically by an adult? I guess I am questioning the possibility that he was never AT the school.

The next logical progression of events will be for the custodial family’s cooperation with LE to taper off as the focus intensifies. I find their public behavior and presentation odd – maybe generic is the word I am looking for. I hope they are not involved. Could Uncle have secrets to share?
This new direction of inquiry really bothers me — if I look at the self-published book of N Horman who we are assuming is Kyron’s grandfather, with illustrations by children, and endearing situations described from the point of view of a cat, squirrel, and other pesky forest animals, I see a loving nurturing environment in which Kyron’s inquisitiveness about such things as the red tree frog were nurtured. Does Kyron’s disappearance contaminate everything? As someone else mentioned, he seems like such a bright happy kid, raised by his stepmom his whole life. I also found the pics posted yesterday of the family all together (father, Terri, Kyron & baby), quite reassuring. I hope this is not within the family at all and I hope the uncle’s crimes are unrelated.

For all you sharing that crow-cut me in, and it’s going to have to be a huge, 20 story, mutant crow because so many people are just like us! I tried so hard to look fairly at everyone in this case, but I just didn’t want to look at the giant elephant in the room. I guess most of us didn’t. I know this doesn’t prove anything yet, but it certainly looks bad.

Why this flyer? Why now? Why these questions? Read the questions, what answers are they looking for? Seems odd to me.
BTW, those that say they will be eating crow, I guess that would include me. In my opinion it is better to be questioning rather then reactive to rumors. It is easy to go with the flow and point fingers at what seems to be the guilty person but when as amature slueths we do this? Well we lose credibility. We have to look at everything and everybody. Nothing has been posted about this woman that is not circumstancial or would have other explanations. I don’t feel badly or embarrassed for not jumping on the, “the step mother did it” bandwagon because I didn’t have the proof and actually I still don’t to say it was her.

Blink I love answering these questions. How would it be possible for him to be found safe? Well he could have been hidden. He could have been help captive?
Or how is it possible that he was never at the school in the first place? The pic we see of him infront of the project has an adult and a child in the backround, they are a witness even if they hadn’t seen Kyron but by being there. So was the pic taken on that morning or when set up of the project had taken place? Other people had said they saw Kyron there that morning with the step mom so I would think if that never happened then they must be in on it?

I was thinking the same thing, the picture could have been fabricated? The questionnaire appears to me that they are trying to “punch holes’ in the step-moms story. They may have cell phone pings that contradict WHERE she actually was during the drop off?

For those in other parts of the country, the Seattle area is about 170 miles away from Portland where Kyron Horman went missing. Sauvie Island is very close to downtown Portland. It apparently is true that Kyron’s uncle has been arrested, and possibly convicted of being a child molester. During the press conference, the Sheriff’s office did ask for anyone who saw Terri Horman, or her white Ford Pickup to contact them. They intimated that the reason for asking for this information was to ‘jog’ memories of those who might have seen something. The family did not appear at this news conference, however they did write statement read by the Sherrif’s office in support of the investigation. I still think there’s something we’re not hearing about.

I recall reading somewhere (at the beginning of all this) that the pictures of Kyron were actually posted the day before he went missing. But then it was dismissed with the explanation of time zones.
Blink what are your thoughts on the flyer? Legally do you feel it is a smart move on LE’s part?

I wonder why LE chose those two photos of the SM? There certainly would be better photos to find, but I was thinking maybe because her face is showing stress, and maybe they think it matched better what her expressions would be from June 4?
I kept bringing up the accomplice possibility because that’s the only way all the conflicting info made sense in my brain, but my real motivation is that I just wanted to find a way that Kyron could still be alive. I just can’t stand that his last moments might have been so horrendous.
And I feel less hopeful after that press conference that LE is about to make an arrest.
I very much believe he was deceased by the time school let out June 4th.

Thank you hk! Going along with what you’ve said is that some (maybe the same posters?) were trying to tell others they saw the DATE stamp on the original sci-fair pic that step-mom had uploaded to her facebook. Taken on the 3rd, not the 4th. They were posting the info during the hoopla over the facebook games & postings & TIME zones and all, and that info was lost in the fray. And as you say, dismissed. By the time the zone info was all sorted out, step-mom had yanked her pics down, then deleted her facebook acct.
Since day one, this case has been very odd. From the teacher seeing Kyron with Terri before classes started but still not questioning where he was all day and marking him absent, even though his coat and bookbag were at his desk. From his desk-mate Tanner recalling that on the way back to class that morning (after parents had left and students toured the science projects with the rest of the class…which for Kyron’s class (according to Tanner) included a substitute teacher as well their regular teacher) the substitute said “oh no, where’s Kyron?” To which (according to Tanner) the regular teacher replied, “calm down, he’s probably just getting a drink of water or something”. Then for the teacher to never check on his wherabouts and just mark him absent…even though she had reportedly seen him earlier that morning w SM?…strange. From SM’s odd behavior following Kyron’s disappearance (although there are certainly many odd people in the world who are not criminals and personally, she doesn’t strike me as a child murderer). The pictures of Kyron I’ve seen were all posted on June 1 through 4…why are there none before that? Staging? Hmm.. The uncle’s sudden arrest is very concerning as well…wonder if he was in the area on June 4th… I see he molested his daughter…has he ever molested little boys?
Well, shit. I’m sorry Blink, but that’s the only thing that covers it for me. I really thought the stepmom was innocent in this case. Not that I want for anything to have happened to Kyron, but if he met a terrible end, how much more terrible if it was at the hands of someone he thought loved him.

I checked out all of Marketing Scott photos, and looks to me like he got a new wife and put on a lot of weight between the times the boat photos were taken and the rest. I’m not sure it’s the same guy, but that said, I can’t be sure it’s not, either.
I have a question about pedophiles though, in general. Blink, I think you said in an earlier post that it’s likely that they can change MO or degree of violence but less likely that they’d change their victim preference? Was I reading that correctly? It seems a lot to go from teenage girl to 7 year old boy, but my experience with pedophiles is 0. Not that I’m defending Kristian Scott at all.
No, you read that correctly.
There are notable exceptions to that, but in general, victim proclivity is mostly static.
One difference though, is if the person is involved in a ring, or filming, then you will find the victim profile, for marketing purposes is varied.
