In court papers filed Wednesday, Bunch went further, noting that Terri Horman is a “de facto suspect” in the second-grader’s disappearance…”

Portland, OR- In a voluntary appearance in court yesterday for matters relating to the pending divorce motion by estranged husband Kaine; Terri Horman showed her face for the first time since the week after her stepson, Kyron, vanished from Skyline School.

Although Kaine Horman opted to be represented by his counsel Laura Rackner and not appear personally to protect himself emotionally, according to Rackner, Terri Horman braved the fray.

Arriving with attorneys Peter Bunch and Stephen Houze, the trio was immediately met and escorted by MCSO deputies in “the box” formation to the 5th floor courtroom where local media scurried in from behind.  Within 45 minutes, Judge Meisenheimer ruled in Kaine Horman’s favor and granted his request that the issues of the mortgage-sized retainer, allegedly furnished by Terri to Houze and other distribution and custody  issues will be heard in a hearing on October 7, denying her request to have the issues bifurcated.

During the proceeding, Bunch argued that his Client cannot properly litigate the divorce and custody actions currently because she is.”..unable to proceed in the ordinary course to protect her rights as to discovery, property division, support and, particularly, custody and parenting time issues.”

In fact, for the first time publicly, we learn a very important detail about the criminal investigation into Kyron Horman’s disappearance.

According to her counsel, who would certainly be “in the know”, Terri Horman has NOT been named a suspect by MCSO in Kyron’s case, but she is painfully aware she is one.

Loosely translated, a defacto suspect is an unofficially declared suspect, but for all intents and purposes is definitely the target of the investigative crosshairs.

The Microsaccade Moment

Microsaccades are tiny involuntary movements of the eye generally caused by visual fixation.  The result on visual perception can cause the beholder to question if they are “really seeing what they are seeing.”

I had a few of those yesterday while analyzing footage of the day’s events in conjunction with known facts of this case.

They Are:

The MCSO guard detail dispatched at the courthouse assigned to Terri and counsel et al for a family court appearance.  I have spoken with a few local family lawyers who do not wish to be identified, with a combined 26 years of practice.  None have ever seen this practice in a similar matter in Multnomah County.  Specifically, the deputies went inside the actual hearing and waited to escort the trio out the back.

During the hearing, there was not a syllable mentioned about the driving force behind the request for expedition of the case in the first place. The very substantive weight that was used to secure an emergency custody and restraining order, which remains uncontested to date: The Alleged Murder for Hire Plot. Why wouldn’t a family lawyer looking to abate the divorce case strike at the very merits on which the plaintiff’s arguments are based? The plaintiff in this case uses an almost one year old mfh plot allegation, which was not carried out, and no person has been declared a suspect or arrested, to control every filing to date and counsel does not refute the claims therein? What possible reason could that be?

A recent interview with Terri Horman’s son James, in which he states that his Mother cannot have a computer, cell phone, or leave her parents home in Roseburg.

Blink Analysis Editorial: Sealed Criminal Indictment OR Civil Commitment?

A Civil commitment, which would have had to been voluntary, such as a concern for Ms. Horman injuring herself, or some sort of dependency is a possibility, but a highly unlikely one considering she appeared in court yesterday.

Strictly my opinion of course, but based on my microsaccades, I think it is entirely possible that Terri Horman is under a pre-arrest indictment in the matter of the alleged murder for hire plot, or some derivative thereof.

It would certainly be unlikely that she could have been booked and granted bail without a leak, but a sealed indictment, which may or may not include a sealed arrest warrant, would follow Oregon’s propensity to use the grand jury as a form of “preliminary hearing.”  In light of the fact that there is an ongoing criminal investigation into Kyron’s disappearance involving Federal, county and State investigative assets, it would be entirely appropriate.

The public would not know until such time as the indictment and any potentially attached writs are unsealed.  Throw in the possibility there is always the chance that Clackamas County may be the charging county for such an offense and not Multnomah.

In which case, this is about to get very interesting.  Recall MCSO chief Dan Staton saying Clackamas County Major Crimes Team is involved in the case?  That would suggest at least part of a crime has been established in their jurisdiction.  Rudy Sanchez resides in Clackamas County.

Clackamas County District Attorney John Foote and Criminal defense attorney Stephen Houze are well acquainted. You might say that Foote owes his very job to Houze in a way-

John Foote  lost as the incumbent DA in 1996 to his own deputy district attorney Terese “Terry” Gustafson.  Terry was in the middle of fighting an Oregon Bar complaint at the time which cleared her name just days before the inauguration.

The embattled DA did not take long to be the subject of more ethics violations including felony perjury charges for lying to a circuit judge about releasing the file of a juvenile that was ordered to be destroyed. Gustafson was disbarred.

Who filed the Bar complaint who also represented the accused boy who was subsequently acquitted?

Who was the prosecuting attorney for the Oregon Bar?

Stephen Houze.

My day answered a few of my questions and raised a couple more. Before I get into my drive time finding, I will say that we did not go the the Albertson’s for three reasons; 1) Terri did not mention it in her email, only the two FMs, 2)LE did not release a pic of the parking lot asking if anyone saw TH or KH’s truck and 3)there a bajillion stores to stop at between the two FMs. (I think Terri may have told LE she went to this Albertsons because she definitely had some unaccounted for time to explain.) Also, I want to say that we did not drive up Sheltered Nook Rd. I feel strongly that Kaine and Kiara are not tourist attractions and that their privacy is sacred at this time. I believe they have had enough gawkers/media outside their gate for the time being.

We left the first parking lot at Skyline Elementary School, drove Skyline to Cornelius Pass Rd, turned south and headed to FM1. We parked at the FM1 7 minutes later. (By the way, the new cameras at the school are very snazzy!) We hustled into the store, went straight to the children’s meds aisle, quickly scanned all meds, then walked to the Starbucks which is inside the store. This FM is huge and Starbucks was on the other side of the store. We ordered and got our receipt 8 minutes later. We waited while our coffee was made, picked up napkins and was back in the car 6 minutes later.

So, from Skyline school to check out for coffee 15 minutes passed. Terri’s time of 8:45 to 9:12 is 27 minutes. We did not walk out of the school, down to the truck, strap a 19 month old into a car seat, back out and drive out of the parking lot. We did not get a 19 month old out of the car seat, walk into FM’s, find a cart and set a toddler in it. I think all this could easily account for Terri’s additional 12 minutes. I will add that we were walking at a pretty good clip, not just strolling. We were walking faster than anyone else at Freddies and people moved out of our way LOL! Also, we drove the speed limits. Both my friend and I live in a rural area so we do know that locals zoom around on the rural roads they know well by 5-15 mph over the speed limits. However, I think even giving Terri the other 12 minutes she had to be humping to get to Freddies and check out by 9:12 whether she got coffee or bought something else.

NOTE: You can be at Westwind Farms 5 minutes after leaving the school! But, Old Germantown Rd is more of a paved path than a road where two 4×4 trucks would have to almost stop to clear each other. Even if you knew the road well, you could not go fast, BUT once you were off of Old Gmntwn Rd onto Germantown Road you could drive 70 mph to Cornelius Pass Rd then on to FM1.

I’m torn whether Terri picked DeDe up right after the SF. She could have but would have had to drive like hell to get to FM1 and check out by 9:12. Up until today, I thought it would be impossible to pick DeDe up prior to FM1 and check out by 9:12, but now I know it is not. Also, DeDe could have walked from WWF to Skyline Rd. It would not have been a fun walk.

We left FM1 parking lot went back out Imbri, south on Cornelius Pass Rd, drove to NE Cornell Rd, turned left, drove to 185th

  3. S says:

then drove to Walker, turned left and arrived at FM2. This took us 11 minutes. We did not get onto Hwy 26 as I really don’t think a local who is in their shopping “hood” would do this. They would go through the shopping districts of Tannesbourne, etc. Everyone who lives around there uses these streets.

Now, the reports from AL say she ran into Terri at FM2 (and I never could get definitive times) at 10:00 or 10:30. It took us 11 minutes. 11 minutes using city streets. The highway would have probably shaved off a couple of minutes. Even if you give Terri time to get Kiara back buckled up at FM1 and unbuckled at FM2, why was it 48 minutes to 1 hour and 12 minutes later when she ran into Leckey? Where did Terri really go after she left FM1 before arriving at FM2?

Terri would have had time to go back to WWF and pick up DeDe prior to arriving at FM2 and running into AL.

One of the questions I have had about WWF was if it was possible to get someone’s attention who was working on the farm from the road. The answer is a resounding NO. It was heavily wooded with very dense underbrush. You could not see any buildings from Old Germantown Rd. I wondered this, because of DeDe saying she did not have her cell with her as it was in her car. I wondered if Terri or RS or someone drove slowly by the farm and got her attention. No, this did not happen. If Terri went back to pick up DeDe and DeDe was waiting by the road, then it was preplanned. OR, Terri called her. Only LE knows this, we don’t. Also, it would have been very, very easy to slip away and get up to the road completely unseen. You could have hidden right along the road and no one passing would have seen you until you popped out of the trees.

From FM2 to WWF, it took us 25 minutes. Again, we drove speed limits which irritated locals. However, on Old Germantown Rd, there is no speeding if you want to live. It’s just to winding with bunches of S curves and very narrow.

From WWFs we headed to SI. We went Old Germantown Rd to Skyline past the school (thinking if she was trying to find Kyron and driving frantically around) and arrived at Cornelius Pass and Hwy 30 22 minutes later. Note: There were several roads from FM2 which lead to Germantown Rd then to Old Germantown Rd and Terri could have taken any of these, including 185th. That could have shaved off some time.

Corn Pass Rd and Hwy 30 is 3 minutes from the SI bridge. So basically, using back roads and picking up DeDe then, would have taken us about 50 minutes to get to SI. I don’t think Terri went to SI, but just drove by it. She could have also stayed on Germantown Rd and went to 30 and not gone back past the school. This may have saved 5-8 minutes as Germantown Rd is curvy right there down to Hwy 30.

In this case, one of my all time favorite movies comes to mind….”Crash.”

To me, it offers options to the mundane. It offers an opportunity for altnerative insight into so many situations, including those that do not quite fit within the plot from the viewpoint of the typical eye.

Anything goes….But stereo-typical and critical positions do not always match up to what we would anticipate, or hope for in reality, which I find incredibly important and lovely.

  5. S says:

Terri could have made it to SI by 11:00 – 11:05 if she left FM2 at 10:15 which gave her 30 minutes to get back to the gym. FM2 directly to SI bridge is 18 minutes taking Hwy 26, Corn Pass Rd, then Hwy 30 and not picking up DeDe.

It takes almost 33 minutes to get from SI Wildlife area to the gym. Terri would have had to leave SI right when she arrived to make it back to the gym, get Kiara out of the truck and be able to check in by 11:39. Again, I don’t think TH went to SI, but just pinged the tower located there.

About the cell phones: About 1.5 miles south of Sheltered Nook Rd we lost all bars even on the Blackberry. By Sheltered Nook Rd, the Blackberry had bars, but the prepaids were still “searching for service.” The prepaids found service 1 mile south of Hwy 30. I believe they were pinging the tower at SI. No proof, but it would make sense.

From this eventful day, I surmise the following:

Terri Hormon scurried to FM1 if she left Skyline School at 8:45. She hurried like hell while she was in the store whether she had Kiara or not and REALLY hurried and I mean raced like hell if she picked up DeDe. I think this stop was a preplanned alibi.

TH did not go directly from FM1 to FM2 unless after racing around FM1 she suddenly decided to leisurely stroll around FM2 for 30-60 minutes. I think she either went to WWF and picked up DeDe or dropped someone else someplace before she went to FM2 or did something other than drive directly to FM2.

TH nor RS nor anyone could have gotten DeDe’s attention from the road at WWF. If someone picked DeDe up, it was preplanned or she has lied about not having her phone on her.

The reasoning behind buying phones with specific service was valid. Your run of the mill prepaid won’t work at the Hormon residence.

New questions. If Terri picked up DeDe and they drove around, when and where did she drop her off to get back to the gym by 11:39. Why did it take until 1:00 PM for DeDe’s coworkers to spot her. Did she have to walk several miles? Unlikely. The area is developed with 350K to 1mil dollar homes and today we saw hikers, bikers and slight traffic. Walking along that road back to the farm would get you spotted. Walking through the woods would get you bitten by a dog. Perhaps she was sitting in the woods wondering WTF just happened?

I’m not sure trying to verify Terri’s timeline was totally helpful, but seeing the area actually answered some of my questions.

Someone could have easily dropped a drugged Kyron down Kelly’s road to return to pick him up later and he may have awoke and wandered to ???

Also, I picked up a huge French bar use seltzer bottle dated between 1880-1920 at a junk place, so Score!

So why can’t either of us find it? His business was established in 2008. I don’t want to overdo this subject, but after all I read about landscaping businesses being used for criminal activities, I am as interested in the business as I am in Rudy.

If anyone else is interested, here are links to what is considered “maintenance” and to local license requirements:

    http://www.oregon.gov/LCB/docs/YouandYourcontractingbusinessweb.pdf?ga=t

    http://www.pdc.us/pdf/bus_serv/portland-business-handbook.pdf
Multnoman County and Portland work together to collect a business license tax. A business must register and complete the tax forms, etc., but they do not grant a license in the same way the state LCB does. The Horman residence is in unincorporated Multnomah County and would still have required a registration for county tax purposes even if he never worked within the city. The only reviews I have seen of his work do not give locations.

“Multnomah County Business Income Tax (BIT). The business income tax is assessed on persons doing business in Multnomah County and grossing more than $25,000 per year (there are a few exemptions). If you conduct business in multiple counties, you pay an apportioned tax based on your percentage of revenue earned in the county. The City of Portland Revenue Bureau collects both BIT and City of Portland business license fees. More information and forms are available from the bureau’s web site . . . “

    http://www.portlandonline.com/omf/index.cfm?c=29554
“Within 60 days of the start of business activity in the City of Portland OR Multnomah County you are required to submit a [form]. No payment is due with this form. There are certain exemptions to operating a business without paying a business license tax, however exempt businesses must submit a request for exemption.”

    http://www.portlandonline.com/omf/index.cfm?c=29567&a=222655
“The Business License tax is for revenue purposes, and is not regulatory. The payment of a license tax and the acceptance of such a payment does not entitle a registered business to carry on a business not in compliance with all applicable requirements of state, federal, municipal or other laws.”

Tried 4 times to post all the links in the post, but it doesn’t show, so I have edited and am trying in 2 posts.

  11. MockingbirdSings says:

Second half – not sure why that worked.

    http://www.clackamas.us/business/homebased.htm
“If you live in unincorporated Clackamas County, though you have one of the above cities for an address, you will not need a business license as Clackamas County does not have business licenses.”

    http://www.ci.canby.or.us/cityservices/business_license_packet.pdf
Canby requires a $50 license for doing business within the city. It’s a fairly small area, and not where the Horman property is.

    Washington County:
    http://www.ci.hillsboro.or.us/economicdevelopment/documents/DoingBusWC.pdf
“Each municipality issues licenses for businesses operating in each city. Please refer to the individual city for further detail on obtaining a license. Washington County does not require a separate business license.”

    http://portland.citysearch.com/profile/47363571/camby_or/rs_landscape_maintenance.html?publisher=hellometro#profileTab-reviews says est. 2008

    http://www.oregonmetro.gov/index.cfm/go/by.web/id=24216
“Instead of getting separate business licenses, you can get a single license from Metro to construct, alter and repair structures in 20 cities that have licensing requirements in the metropolitan area. The license covers all construction trades, both commercial and residential, as well as all landscape contractors.
Participating cities: These cities will honor a Metro license: Beaverton, Cornelius, Durham, Fairview, Forest Grove, Gladstone, Gresham, Happy Valley, Hillsboro, King City, Lake Oswego, Milwaukie, Oregon City, Sherwood, Tigard, Troutdale, Tualatin, West Linn, Wilsonville and Wood Village. The city of Portland is not included at this time.”

To qualify for a Metro license, you must:
    - BE LICENSED with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board or licensed with the Oregon Landscape Contractors Board
    - have a corresponding city license if your principal place of business is located in any of the 20 cities honoring the Metro license
    - earn $250,000 or less in gross receipts per year per city honoring the Metro license or hold a city license for any city listed in which that dollar limit is exceeded.
The nonrefundable fee for the license is $135.

So I still don’t know what kind of actual license Rudy Sanchez’s company has. If he only did lawn cutting and maintenance work (such as James might have done) and did not need a Landscape Contractors Board (LCB) license (no yard changes, no retaining walls, no sprinkler system, etc.), then he could not have gotten the Metro license. The only license (registration) individually issued in the Metro area where it appears Rudy lived and worked would be from Canby, or one of the other municipalities (the largest would be Beaverton) if he worked within their limits. All the “licenses” except the one from the state Board are essentially registrations for the purpose of taxation or exemption from taxation (non-profit).

Also, I still don’t understand the connection between Rudy and the school. The school district has its own employees who do grounds maintenance, the soccer field groundskeeper (turf technician) worked for the City of Portland. If there was nothing more for Rudy to do than remove weeds and cut grass, I’m amazed PPS would hire him (if they did), and he couldn’t have legally done anything much more substantial without an LCB license. Whatever it was, he apparently did it often enough for Kyron to “know him” at home and at school.

  12. MockingbirdSings says:

When I was poking around on the internet, I came across the following information. Researching Rudy with no picture and no birthdate is really tough, but the timing and the charge fits. If it is “our” Rudy/Rodolfo”, he made it back in time to open his business in 2008.

Jacksonville, Texas news: The following arrests were made by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department and the Department of Public Safety for the period of July 10 through July 24, 2007.
http://jacksonvilleprogress.com/local/x154948110/Illegal-charged-with-indecency ["indecency" was someone else's charge]
    • Rodolfo Sanchez, immigration detainer. Released to immigration.

    • Cesar J. Reyes, immigration detainer. Released to immigration.

    • Jaime S. Perez, immigration detainer. Released to immigration.

    • Juan C. Medina, immigration detainer. Released to immigration.

Javier Enrique, failure to signal lane change. Time served, released to immigration.

I included the names of those detained at the same time relating to immigration. I know there are way too many people to keep up with, but if any of them were associates of Rudy’s and picked up together, they might have made it this far, too. Of course, it may not be the same Rudy either – or he may not be using his real name . . . arrrrrgh.

    S,
Thank you for giving us your account of the drive times! That really helps me with the timeline.

For me, the biggest unanswered question is the missing time between the FM1 and FM2 stores. It took you 11 minutes to get to FM2, but the supposed TH timeline stated it took betwwen 48 and 1 hour and 12 minutes. I think that is very peculiar. I think that is when she picked up DS and drove around talking about the mess she was in, all the while comping up with an alibi and going to FM2 and trying to get the story straight.

I think the time between FM1 and FM2 is very hinky.

Also, thank you for driving by the WWF. Its helpful to know that not much can be seen when on the road and vice versa. I think you are right, if TH (or anyone else) were to pick up DS from the farm, it must have been preplanned. **Maybe thats why TH could have been zipping through FM1???? So she wouldn’t miss the preplanned time, since there was no way to get ahold of DS?

All in all, if TH did plan this, it was pretty thought out, but there are still holes in her story.

    Again, thanks S!

Thanks B. Seems that when I attempted to post the link for Rudy’s Bus License, my post just disappeared. Must have something to do with the link.

Thanks so much Annals for that info. I actually had it in my notes and somehow got screwed up into looking at the 10:00 to 10:30 time period! (Blond moment).

Anyway, I doubt Terri could have made it to run into AL by 9:30. If she checked out at FM1 at 9:12 she still needed to get to the truck and get Kiara buckled up before driving to FM2 and get Kiara out. A 9:30 meeting would have been pushing it. However anytime after that until 10:00 is totally viable. Still if she left FM2 at shortly after 10:00, she would have had a difficult time getting to SI (if she picked up DeDe or, if she drove around back roads) and get back to the gym by 11:39. It would take 40-50 minutes from FM2 to SI via back roads.

I think what has fallen into place for me is that DeDe could have been picked up right after the SF. And, regardless of when she was picked up, she was no innocent, just got caught up in the moment participant. She had to be part of the plan from the beginning.

Major MOO (My Opinion Only) post.

This site, well, a rehab facility may just need to open to deal with folk like me who have an addiction and brain encephalitis from TMI (too much Info). My name is TJ and I AM A BLINKAHOLIC.

Hailing from Spokane, WA, I feel semi-close to this case. Reading these posts for so long has me wondering why there are not more women in LE. Posters here are brilliant and Blink could essentially print out the entire blog and publish.

After ingesting all info from this case, my first thought (after the brilliant posters) is that TMH is given far too much credit for masterminding a crime. Ms. TMH appears to barely have the intellectual capacity to think inside or outside of “the box”. TMH is however an expert liar, who upon realizing that she isn’t ALL THAT (and basically never was) decided to use her pseudo powers, or should I say vajaja powers to manipulate her world at the expense of a sweet young boy. TMH is a textbook sociopath and DeeDee was simply a barnacle on her butt.

So, MOO is that the criminal behavior was not as complex as most would think. Seriously, even a box of rocks would know better than to attempt hiring a hit man, act like a complete GOMER at a press conference (snuggling up to DY) for their missing son, etc., etc..In a nutshell, TMH is a stupid woman. Dumbo + Sociopath = TROUBLE.

MOO again, yes this crime was sexually motivated but not to drop poor Kyron in the seedy world of child traffic. More so, even dumber peeps (possibly DD and AS) did “favors” for THE QUEEN of IDIOTS to rid her of a step-son who she viewed as an annoyance. I don’t even think they may have been aware of her motive…. cause they are hmmmmm, DUMB and both thought they may be the KING!!

It hurts me to write this, as my daughters Birthday is the same day as Kyron’s. I believe Terri herself murdered Kyron. Her pawns were just that and unknowing.

A DUMB woman would keep quiet about everything to save her sorry butt. A decent woman would conjure up a soul, accept their stupidity and give his body back to his parents and a world full of intelligent people who value the treasure of a beautiful child.

I do hope I am wrong. MOO to all.

Thank you S for checking all the drive times! I’ve been wanting to get over there and try that out but there’s always something else to do. When LE asked for witnesses who saw Terri on Springville, Germantown, Old Germantown and Skyline between Springville and Newberry between 10:15 and 10:45, I thought they must have cell pings or witness sightings to place her there. However, I wonder if they are just trying to place her in that area because it’s near WWF and it’s during the unaccounted for time.

My vision is that she would have driven from FM2 to WWF by about 10:30, spent about 45 minutes in that area (maybe moving closer to Newberry) and then high-tailed it back to the gym.

    B,

Although I AM a Blinkaholic and am not territorial about my hat, the TJ above is not me (me being the TJ who lives in Illinois who gets really mad at Drew Peterson). I am not a super frequent poster but have been here awhile. Should I change my hat? I can’t remember your “policies” on people with the same hat.

  28. MockingbirdSings says:

S and Blink – FYI – last night when I tried to post and finally did, it only worked after I took out some links that were within text – such as a sentence that included a link to “forms” that you click on. I don’t know if that was the problem, but it immediately worked afterward. Maybe the computer sees some links as different – or maybe it’s just a “busy signal.” I know my computer sends some emails to junk if there’s a link that it thinks is suspicious – I think my computer is a bit paranoid, but I appreciate its efforts to protect me.

  29. zinnia says:

TJ, I can totally relate to your addiction to this case. I have never been so deeply attached to a case that involves people I have never met and live so far away from me. I don’t know how I got so drawn into it, but I guess it’s because this child just makes my heart ache.

I can appreciate your thoughts and theories about what actually might have happened to sweet Kyron and I agree with a lot of what you have written. But one thing that you wrote really disturbs me (I don’t want you to think I am attacking you at all. I am just frustrated with the lack of resolution with the disappearance of this sweet child). If the people who might have been involved in hurting or hiding Kyron are so dumb, how in the world could they have pulled off such a complete disappearance of a child? There are supposedly so many top notch, intelligent LE minds out there trying so hard to solve this case, not to mention a whole community locally and online! It just bothers me so much that someone(s) could have pulled off something like this and to continue to lie and cover up and live their lives while an innocent child’s life has been destroyed, along with his biological parents and siblings. I cannot imagine that this is the work of dummies. I think that whoever did this is very intelligent and also very evil.

I suppose there are different kinds of intelligence, like intellect and emotional intelligence. And I hate to think about the existence of evil in our world, yet the different cases discussed here at Blink on Crime sure do seem to make a case for it.

I pray that today is the day that Kyron comes home to his family.

@newsatfive – Here is an interesting piece that I just discovered this morning in responding to news@five’s request for more info. Both Steve Moulton and his wife Jessica Van Dyke Moulton live in Portland (view their facebook pages for reference). Jessica only indicates that she has a mother named Joni. Here is where it gets weird..when scrolling through the friend’s section for Joni, her friends then link to a JAMES DOERING who was mentioned in recent postings as being killed only a few days ago and his wife is involved with the Kyron Horman online pages. BLINK – Is there such a thing as a COINCIDENCE is this case

“I noticed that Blink had indicated a HE (male) suspect and cannot separate myself from the horrible thought that this involves sexual abuse of some nature as there was a lot of references made early on about Timur Vandykes. One other question that was never answered was if there was any relation of Steve Moulton and Terri Moulton as he lives in Portland and shows as being married to a young lady with the last name of ‘Vandyke’ (no ‘s’) as in Timur’s name.”

I cannot find any Steve Moulton who is married to a Vandyke or Van Dyke. Please provide a source or link for this information.

S, thank you for taking the time to reconstruct the drive times.

However, as a local, I would NOT prefer driving the streets of Tanasbourne.

Since FM1 is very close to Hwy 26, I would personally take that route if I had to then go to FM2. The Bethany/158th exit feeds right to the FM2 (and the 24-Hour Fitness, I might add). Personally I tend to avoid the busier streets like Evergreen, Cornell, 185th, Walker Rd since traffic tends to be congested, there are too many traffic lights for my taste (and I don’t like the way lanes funnel into each other, sometimes narrowing down to a single lane). But yes, if TH did take Hwy 26 it would probably be an even faster drive.

  37. MockingbirdSings says:

S – I love your report. Thank you so much.
I remember Andrea Leckey saying she was on her way to Borders by or before ten o’clock – made me think she looked at her car clock and was at least pulling out of the parking lot, if not on the road. We know Kiara was out of the truck and with Terri at FM 2 when AL saw her.

Is this idea possible in your time frame –

    (1) A mystery person (later seen in the truck by a known witness) parks a vehicle out of sight near the farm where DeDe is working and Terri picks that person up from the parking spot on the way to school – either drives up to the school with that person, or lets the person out near the school to walk up so they are not seen together

    (2) Kyron, Kiara, and the mystery person leave school with Terri to meet DeDe at the prearranged place near the farm where the other vehicle is parked (another white truck by coincidence?) IF we are still saying Kyron did NOT leave with Terri, then another vehicle was at the school to take him, but we can continue anyway –

    (3) DeDe, Terri, Kyron, Kiara, and the mystery person meet at a prearranged place probably near the farm where DeDe was working. How they all got there doesn’t matter if the timeline was followed.

    (4) The mystery person has arranged for someone known only to him/her to arrive quickly and take Kyron away in exchange for money. This person could have been acting alone, or not.

    (5) Terri leaves Kyron with DeDe and the mystery person, and quickly drives Kiara on to FM (getting a child her age out of a seat goes much faster than putting one in). Gets the receipt and goes on to FM 2. If she got a drink from Starbucks, she may have sat in the car to drink it before going into FM 2.

    (6) DeDe and the mystery person keep Kyron with them to do whatever they planned – if it was to meet someone else who would take Kyron away, DeDe is there to make sure it goes as planned and Terri gets her share of money – or perhaps the second vehicle contained tools and DeDe was needed to help with burial and pay the mystery person after it was done – she was already dressed for working outside. Either way – Terri does not know “exactly” what happened to Kyron, but she does know quite a lot. (Terri could have set up this plan alone and then realized she needed DeDe to help, but it would have been too much to explain as late as the morning of the event.)

    (7) Terri said she drove around – some have assumed she was in a panic, but maybe not. Maybe she wanted Kiara to go to sleep so she could think about any loose ends. Some people think better while driving. She may have gone to a do-it-yourself car wash and vacuumed to cover up any evidence that another person was there (kids usually hate the loud noise though). If there was money involved for her, maybe she had to pick it up from DeDe and do something with it – maybe they got fast food and sat or drove around in the truck to talk about what happened and Terri dropped her off at the farm on the way home.

This plan seems to work no matter what happened to Kyron. Even the ransom concept could be worked in. It only involves 3 or 4 adults to complete the plan which really isn’t even a high tech, complicated plan. It seems to fit the timeline. It puts the big rush at the beginning where the risk of getting caught in the act is highest.

Even if the school had called after 10 AM attendance was sent to the office to say Kyron was missing, the plan would have already been carried out. Anyone who took Kyron out of the area would have had at least a 2 hour head start by the time notice was given of an absence and checking around the building and grounds was done (if Terri said he wasn’t absent) and then any call made to Kaine and LE would have extended the lead time even longer before searching began. It still wouldn’t be possible to put out an amber alert (not enough information). So the plan was not absolutely dependent on the doctor’s notice confusion even though it may have helped.

The only thing I can think of that might have panicked Terri in this plan would be if something went wrong with the money part (no matter which direction it was going), or the 4th person didn’t show up and plan B was the burial which took longer.

@twinkletoes: Got it!! You get from local latino landscaper/low to mid level drug/other commodities distributor TO the Russian mafia this way:

local “landscaper” funnels US currency from drug/other sales to Mex cartels; they use it to buy weapons from Russian mafia-infiltrated countries. Those would be? Former Soviet satellite states; also Israel. Ta-da!

From the L.A. Times, Mar. 15,2009:
“The enhanced weaponry represents a wide sampling from the international arms bazaar, with grenades and launchers produced by U.S., South Korean, Israeli, Spanish or former Soviet bloc manufacturers. Many had been sold legally to governments, including Mexico’s, and then were diverted onto the black market. Some may be sold directly to the traffickers by corrupt elements of national armies, authorities and experts say.”

Glad to know you are also questioning the veracity of the OL anonymous poster. Where would they get such information? Make it up, like a good little troll. Tanner did not actually say that Kyron was walking downstairs, or that he followed Terri’s instructions. Seems the OL commenter was just speculating, and, like many, twisting Tanner’s actual statement. Tanner actually said, “I went downstairs, and that was the last time I saw him. I never did see him after that.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tAZ1FmHtcI

LE has not reported any findings from their interviews, nor has the GJ reported testimony. I believe it was Kurtis who was interviewed by the GJ -his mom went on camera saying that they (his parents) were not asking him what happened inside. More than likely the other kids -along with dozens more- testified. HUNDREDS of subpeonas? Whoa!

I will agree in saying that there is not a solid practical way of keeping everyone involved quiet. The “leak” could be ultimately genuine, but I am not willing to incorporate the comments of anonymous posters into the mix -yet will wait until it comes from a verifiable source. Thanks for your comments newsatfive.

I think she either went to WWF and picked up DeDe or dropped someone else someplace before she went to FM2 or did something other than drive directly to FM2.”

If Terri really did go to FM2 to get meds for Kitty that they didn’t have at FM1, and they were RX, it might have taken at that long to fill them. (OK, now I’m getting deja vu, as if I or someone else has said this already) Whenever, I get an RX filled at FM, I plan on grocery shopping for 30 minutes while I wait for it. If she was up front, she may have seen AL enter the store and stopped her while waiting for the RX. Supposedly, Kitty was already sick, so I wonder if she held onto the RX in order to have this alibi.

Hey there Blinksters. This post is way off-topic. But in case you’re wondering, Eddie Cochran was right: there really ain’t no cure for the summertime blues. You’d think I would have figured this out by the time Olivia-Newton John covered the song. But that was 1975. What the hell did I know back then? I sensed something was up when Cheech Marin sang it in 1987 that underrated, art-house masterpiece ‘Born in East LA,’ but I rationalized the matter by telling myself he was high.

By the time Alan Jackson covered the song, I could no longer deny the claim as a vicious rumor. Oh–I tried to pretend by publicly rejecting the claim as mere hearsay and hysteria. MOO-ing at 30,000 feet and things are looking different to me.

Assuming Kyron did not leave with Terri and she was sighted shortly after at FM with her daughter in tow, the time between 8:30 and 9:30 is really, really important.
How to remove a kid from a school without being seen: Lots of containers around on science fair day. I guess I would get him alone (invited into a bathroom or storage room by an adult, trusted or authoritative), incapacitate him (shudder), and then remove him in a storage container.
    Why?
My thoery is that TH hired someone to off Kaine, then changed her mind. (he isn’t dead, so obviously, she changed her mind). Love is complicated, you guys. But in the world of organized crime, you can’t order a hit then cancel it. You order, you change your mind, but you still pay full price or you settle. If you still refuse to pay, you start having problems. People who are dear to the breacher but not important to the killer start to disappear. You get threatened by LE snitches (enter organized crime bottomfeeder, Rudy). I think at the center of this case is a cancelled contract for a hit on Kaine. And Kyron has become liquidated damages for Terri’s refusal to perform. Who knows why she cancelled it. But he is still walking around.
Why Kyron? Because he was easy to get. The perp knew him, knew his obedience to authority, knew the school, knew the science fair would create the right amount of chaos. I think ultimately, the person who removed Kyron from the school building had to be a relative of a student. Not an employee–too easy to trace. A relative of a student or a relative of an employee (which I think was mentioned by a psychic iirc a while back) would be really hard to identify.
I think another reason the perps picked Kyron is he had no ability to pay $. Kill Terri and any promise of payment is gone.

    MOO, people, MOO.

Agreed 100%, with the exception that whoever the 3rd party was, either never had any intention of returning Kyron once a ransom was paid, or something went wrong. There is no doubt in my mind that sting was believed to be the vehicle to net Kyron’s whereabouts.

    @ Twinkletoes –

This theory fits in quite nicely with why TH sent her teenager away from the Horman home (supposedly without discussing it with Kaine) and also as to why she hasn’t fought the restraining order and for visitation with baby K. She’s not only scared for her life (according to Dede’s People interview), but is scared for her own bio children as well. IMO, her actions have shown very little in the way of concern for Kyron’s well-being.

    Very interesting theory!

  50. twinkletoes says:

Blink, you said “. . . either never had any intention of returning Kyron once a ransom was paid, or something went wrong.” Yes, I think we agree on that too. And you know, now that I think about it, if TH was driving around Sauvie, it was probably to drop off cash to get Kyron back or to watch Kierra while TH drove to drop off money (not exactly the type of gig you want to bring the baby along on). I’d be very interested to know whether DeDe or anyone else gave TH some money around that time. Which is probably the more important reason Kaine and LE are so interested in where TH got the money for Houze.
Who gave TH money on or around that day and how were funds transfered to and from her? Perhaps this was the subject of discussion amongst the pre-paid phone group?
