Kyron Horman Case: Terri Horman Sexts Sent To Kaine Horman’s Phone…. WHAT?

In what can only be considered the latest bombshell development in the case of missing Portland boy, 7 year old Kyron Horman, blinkoncrime.com has discovered that the recent sexually graphic text messages or sexts, allegedly exchanged between Terri Horman and mutual friend Michael Cook, may have been altered. Definitely, alter-able.
Blinkoncrime.com has confirmed that the phone number which Kaine hand-wrote on the originally sealed emergency restraining order dated June 28, 2010, matches the cell phone number he also alleges, through his attorney Laura Rackner, was used by Michael Cook to RECEIVE the “sext” messages in question.
What’s the issue?
Kaine Horman owns the phone and the account it is registered to, and unless the allegation is that Terri Horman, using her own phone as purported by Kaine, is herself posing as Michael Cook and sexting herself, which would seem like a physical impossibility given some of her *glamour shots*, we have a serious problem.
In Kaine’s own handwriting on the June 28th Restraining Order, he pens that is an alternative number for Terri Horman.
In the contempt order filed by Kaine Horman on July 12, Ms. Rackner states that she has personally seen the “work phone” records of Michael Cook, and goes on to say “a search” of his cell phone reflected that he took snapshots on June 28th of the earlier served restraining order, which had been sealed, and was the basis for the contempt motion in the first place. He took pictures of sealed documents on the phone belonging to the other person bound by the same order prohibiting Terri Horman from showing anyone. As there are no texts on the work number until July, it is the only logical conclusion.
I am going to go out on a limb here and assume that at some point it occurred to someone that using good faith information in your affidavit, which when not alerting the court that your client has complete ownership and access to the data on the phone account in question, can look like bad faith in a nano-second, thus the withdrawal.
However, not everyone is on the same the playbill because the 21 pages of texts, which were released in PDF format, and do not include any numbers for Terri Horman herself, were supplied in an electronically redacted format; which again indicates this was not an original file.
It was not until the unredacted pdf’s became available October 26th and we converted them to HTML files could we see that based on the file format, it is clear these records came from the account owners and were not subpoenaed from the carrier. Original files, also provided to the respondent, are the requirement of the court. We all know texts can be sent from our phone online accounts, and from our phones directly; I think I even have voice command to text widget thingie.
Anyone that had access to the account, which is registered to Kaine Horman, could clone, spoof, or manipulate those messages, period. That aside, let’s consider the possibility that Terri Horman HAD implicated herself even slightly in any messages on phones that may be utilized to illicit information by a woman who demonstrated her complete knowledge that she understood what expectation of privacy parameters she was under the impression she was operating under, and engaging in, with the “textee”.
Terri Horman was represented by counsel, it would not be difficult for Stephen Houze allege that Kaine Horman was in constant contact with MCSO, had already been provided case sensitive information by them, and as such, was acting as an agent in soliciting the text messages. You see where I am going with this?
The fruit of that poisonous tree is more like the fruit of the poisonous orchard.
The implications of this scenario are abysmal. While I completely understand the desperation of a Father wanting to locate his child, since I have yet to really see anywhere Cook attempts to engage Terrri Horman about Kyron’s whereabouts at any time; I do not get the point of the exercise.
Ms. Rackner is a first rate “Super Lawyer”, but she is not above the burden of her duty to insure that what is being provided to her as a “good faith basis” is just that.
Does this information make Terri Horman any less vulgarly inappropriate at best? Hell to the No.
While it is true on the surface because of this information one will be hard pressed to prove it was definitely Terri Horman who sent the electronic ipecac none of us will soon forget, her attorneys have not denied it was her, nor do I expect them to, at least not until they read this.
What it does, yet again, is potentially compromise the criminal case involving the disappearance of Desiree Young and Kaine Horman’s son Kyron.
This afternoon, blinkoncrime.com contributing editor and Legal Analyst, Lea Conner weighed in:
Kaine Horman claims that law enforcement provided the texts records to him, but that does not mean that the records came from the cell phone provider, nor does it mean that the conversations involve Michael Cook or Terri Horman.
In fact, there are indications that the text message transcripts filled by Mr. Horman are not as they appear. At least one of the phones purported to belong to “Michael Cook” is registered to Kaine Horman.
Just as important, none of these records indicate any information about the texts Mr. Horman alleges were sent by his wife. Mr. Horman does not list any cell phone number, not one message ID, not one cell record that indicates the identity of other party to the conversation let alone indicating Ms. Horman as the other party to the text message “conversations.” In the case of the phone with the “503″ prefix (503-XXX-XX76), Mr. Horman is the registered owner of the phone that was purportedly sending texts as “Michael Cook.”
More bizarre, Mr. Horman listed this number as belonging to Terri Horman in his application for a temporary restraining order. Was this a slip on the part of Mr. Horman? Mr. Horman claimed in a motion for remedial contempt that Ms. Horman showed a copy of the restraining order to Mr. Cook and allowed him to photograph the document.
Given that the phone Mr. Horman is the registered owner of the phone he purports was used by “Michael Cook,” it begs the question as to whether Ms. Horman ever allowed Mr. Cook access to the sealed restraining order. As a party to the action, Mr. Horman had the very same sealed documents. Mr. Horman, through Counsel Laura Rackner, claimed to have reviewed Mr. Cook’s “work cell phone records.”
It is not clear if the documents Ms. Rackner referenced as Mr. Cook’s “work” cell records are, in fact, for the phone registered to Mr. Horman. If the sealed documents referenced in Mr. Horman’s contempt motion were photographed with the phone registered to Mr Horman — the same phone that Mr. Horman claims was used by Mr. Cook — it might help explain why Mr. Horman withdrew his contempt motion.
Had he gone forward with the motion, he might have had to explain how it was the documents allegedly photographed by Mr. Cook were the same documents that he had in his possession, and that the phone used to photograph sealed court documents was registered to him, not Mr. Cook.
The records for the phone with a “971″ prefix (971-XXX-XX63) are unlisted. This phone also purported to send texts as “Michael Cook.” Due to the unavailability of any registration for this phone, it is impossible to tell to whom the phone belongs, or who was actually sending texts from this phone. The unredacted copy of the cell phone records filed on October 25, 2010, only identifies one caller on each set of cell phone records. This means that the records came from the phone, not the cell provider. Text records on pages 1 through 12 of Exhibit 1 are from (503) XXX-XX76 (“Cell Phone A”). These pages allegedly represent text messages sent between 10:17 pm on June 30, 2010 through 7:19 pm on July 1, 2010.
In separate court documents, “Michael Cook” is identified as the sender of text messages and the recipient of text messages is identified as “Terri Horman.” Cell Phone A is a Cingular/AT&T cell phone registered to Kaine Horman. It is also a phone number listed by Mr. Horman in his restraining order application as a phone number for Ms. Horman.
Pages 1 through 12 of Exhibit 1 does not list any phone number for the portion of the conversation attributed to Ms. Horman, only that the texts listed were received by (503) XXX-XX76. Text records on pages 13 through 17 of Exhibit 1 are from (971) XXX-XX63 (“Cell Phone B”).
These pages allegedly represent text messages sent between 6:49 pm on July 4, 2010 through 8:30 am on July 6, 2010. The bottom of page 17 has a partial text message sent on July 6, 2010, which purports to be sent after 8:30 am. Cell Phone B is an unlisted cell phone with AT&T (formerly Cingular).
In separate court documents, “Michael Cook” is identified as the sender of text messages and the recipient of text messages is identified as “Terri Horman.” Pages 13 through 17 of Exhibit 1 does not list any phone number for the portion of the text messages attributed to Ms. Horman, only that the texts listed were received by (971) XXX-XX63. All texts in Exhibit 2 are from Cell phone A, and allegedly represent text messages sent between 2:29 pm on July 3, 2010 through 9:40 am on July 4, 2010.
Exhibit 2 does not list any phone number for the portion of the text messages attributed to Ms. Horman, only that the texts listed were received by (503) XXX-XX76. All texts in Exhibit 3 are from Cell phone B, and allegedly represent text messages sent between 8:44 pm on July 6, 2010 through 8:41 am am on July 7, 2010. The top of page 1 of this exhibit has part of an undated message from 8:41 am., possibly on July 6, 2010, that states “I understand. I’m upset about kitty. I didn’t do [sic]”
Exhibit 3 does not list any phone number for the portion of the text messages attributed to Ms. Horman, only that the texts listed were received by (971) XXX-XX63. Surely investigators working on this case must know that the cell records filed by Mr. Horman as coming from Michael Cook’s phone were not from Mr. Cook’s phone, but from a phone registered in his own name.
Someone in law enforcement must have noticed that the number Mr. Horman claims belong to Michael Cook is also the number he claimed belonged to his wife in his TRO application. Mr. Horman signed his application for temporary restraining order on Monday June 28, 2010, prior to its filing at 4:39 pm that afternoon.
This was two days after the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office conducted its failed sting operation at the Horman residence on Saturday June 26, 2010. MCSO was unable to confirm the murder-for-hire plot that had been alleged by the landscaper. As a result, MCSO was not able to arrest Ms. Horman.
As such, why did law enforcement then give the green light to Mr. Horman to obtain a restraining order on the basis that his wife had hired to hire a hit man? Or did Mr. Horman act unilaterally without the endorsement of law enforcement? Surely Mr. Horman must have known that law enforcement could not verify the landscaper’s story, yet he went ahead and filed a restraining order based on the very allegations that law enforcement could not verify. So why did he sign his name to allegations that he knew were not true?
The text messages don’t check out. The murder for hire allegations don’t check out. The only common thread here is a man whose son disappeared on June 4, 2010. As tragic and anguishing as Mr. Horman’s circumstances may be, that does not excuse misrepresenting information to the court.
Mr. Horman cannot claim that the phone registered in his name is Michael Cook’s work cell phone, nor can he claim that the phone allegedly used by Michael Cook was used by Ms. Horman. When Sheriff Dan Staton talked about knowing things that might surprise people, could he have been talking about cell phone records? Maybe Stephen Houze and Peter Bunch will force the sheriff to reveal its source for the records.
Although the answer would not bring Kyron home, it might at least alleviate some of the blame heaped on Ms. Horman, as unpopular as that may be.

Crazy or not, I’m willing to think of anything that is a potential cause of Kryon’s disappearance.
In a previous post I asked who would have known the family’s entire schedule that Friday — the Young, Horman, and Moulton family members scattered all over Oregon — and thus decided that June 4th was just a peachy date to act on his/(her) plan? Was/is there a person who knows this entire clan and all their hustle-bustle schedules?

Please, someone quickly explain to me what kind of idiot would get rid of a stepchild she did not like all while knowing that the third or fourth person to hear the news of the child’s disappearacne

I’m going with door #1 also, but probably for different reasons than Blink. I believe TH was the motivating factor behind Ky’s disappearance. The individual(s) who took Ky had something to gain, either monetarily or for revenge. Someone familiar with Skyline School. Someone known to Ky. An isolated incident.
Since the eyeglasses are actually Kyron’s, maybe LE was trying to confuse the perp by displaying the clothing replicas with them, under the assumption Kyron was still alive. If it began as a ransom case and the eyeglasses were returned to KH & TH with a ransom note, there was probably a stipulation that they (the parents) were not to go to LE.

I read a lot of speculation about the glasses being Kyron’s and that there might have been a ransom note. I don’t remember, however, reading that LE and/or family had confirmed this.. does anyone has a moment to clear this up for me?
I don’t think the clothes are the same.. nor do I respectively think (after blowing up the photo) that the third man down looks like the third man down. He looks like a different nationality to me.
I’ve been searching for the photo everybody is talking about of Terri looking pregnant.. it would explain her absolute isolation.. If she were to be going out … at all…. You would think the news would be all over it.. I truly hope Terri is not pregnant.
Finally, I have a question for Blink.. if you have the time.. Right after the interview with KH and DY where DY talked about the credible witness seeing Kyron at the truck, I thought I had heard the reporter say something very quickly.. it was brushed off, or the subject was changed.. Anyway, I listened to the tape about ten times to make sure I’d heard what I thought I’d heard. Then I posted about it here.. I referred to the exact moment in the tape and gave a link.. Is there a way for me to search my posts? Ii would like to read it again.. and possible re-post it. If not.. no big.. Thank you.

I am not sure what you guys were trying to figure on but….if TMH were pregnant/concieved a few days before Ky disappeared (arbitrarily I put in May 31) she would be due on February 21st. (Hope I did not insult anyones intelligence. That was not my intent.)

No insult. It came up as a side thought based on her in the pictures from the Oct 7 court appearance. The video/photos where TMH is wearing the blue suit with the blue dress underneath. From certain angles she looks like she could be in MOO about 5 months pregnant.
Going backwards if she were to be 5 mths pregnant the beginning of Oct, timing would put conception back to about Apr/May. If someone were to conceive in Apr/May she may need to make a doctors appt for herself around the first 2 weeks in June. And if someone had more than 1 sexual partner and had been pregnant in the past and was familiar with her bodies signs, she surely would have alot to think about. And if the sexual partner that she wasn’t married too were to suspect it was his child and perhaps she was going to try to pass it off as her husbands, it surely would give him alot to think about too.

TH DID contact the second landscaper via Craigs List…(the guy that was interviewed back in the begining, but never actually worked for her). I know Blink hates CL, but what if there was another contact that hasn’t been determined or dredged up yet…thus SZ. Does anyone remember when the second landscaper was contacted? Did TH perhaps hire someone else around the same time and possibly get to know this other person? Not related to MFH, but wanted to “get to know” him “well” because she was attracted to him and trying to start a new fling now that Rudy was out of the picture? Perhaps he played HER with the intention of snatching Kyron. He could have spent time with her (and Kyron) when KH wasn’t around, (at work, traveling, etc). Could have been the person who was in the truck the morning of SF? Maybe went with her and Kyron to the school or just met her at the school that morning. Could be why she wanted to cut her time at the SF shorter than KH and DY expected…thinking she could get in a little time alone with SZ. If it was planned, SZ could easily have parked his vehicle in the parking lot….perhaps a WHITE truck….prior to SF starting (thus 2 parking locations for white truck). Could be why TH wanted KH’s white truck…so if someone saw her in a white truck with another guy, they might not pay as much attention knowing the Hormon’s drove a white truck…less conspicuous…could easily be assumed to be a friend of KH. SZ waiting in his truck (or hers). Waiting for her to leave in the other truck. Meet up at store. She waits…he doesn’t show…she thinks he went to the other store and drives over there. Meanwhile, he wanders casually into the school and tells whatever to Kyron to lure him to leave with him. Gone…
Ok, folks, TH may not be a criminal mastermind, but she may be pretty darn good at concealing/planning extra-marital affairs. From one who knows…they are usually well planned. The truck thing would have been something she would have thought of. Getting Kyron to the school and leaving early would have been something she thought of. The doctor appointment…who knows. Maybe a concidence, (perhaps the only one). By the time she was at the second store, she would have been starting to panic. She would have been nervous, thus talking to AL as she did (said to be weird/out of character) about where she was that day and why she was at the store (covering her a$$). I recall reading that she was on the phone with someone at that location? Could have been how she figured out SZ took Kyron (bat phone with SZ?) She could have purchased the bat phone specifically to communicate with SZ. Bored surburban housewives are known to purchase “gifts” for the new boy toy to make the affair easier.

Maybe SZ isn’t a pediophile at all…maybe they both planned this together to appear as if a kidnapping. SZ to get the money and he and TH to split the loot (or run off together, or pay someone else to do a MFH, or whatever this crazy redhead came up with), later to release KY. They easily could have cooked this up before SZ met Kyron and then gave KY a false name for SZ. After KY is released, he wouldn’t be able to identify the person by name…TH could have been drugging him for awhile, diminishing his recall of details (or tell the authorities about his “seizures” and “problems”…no accurate discription?? and would explain this part of her strange behavior prior to the dissapearance) SZ could have removed his glasses so he wouldn’t have any idea where he was when he was gone and provided them as proof of a kidnapping….OR….Maybe SZ/TH participated in this together with no romantic intention, but she is smart enough to figure out this kind of manuvering. Something went wrong (trying to drug the child, anything could have happened). SZ split. Kyron is gone…where? TH let the vampire in and he disappeared Kyron.

Rose, I think it is a definite that Kaine will get the baby if Terri won’t particpate enough to testify. I know she is not compelled to do so, but in a civil case, the judge has to decide from the facts he is given. It does seem to be a mess, with the criminal and the civil overlapping and now a new judge to boot.
As I re-read my previous post, I realized it kind of sounds a bit jumbled, but I just started typing and all of that came out as I thought about my previous indescritions of youth…I used to have affairs. I’m female. I planned many rendezvous’ and my mind just started rolling. I will bet she was starting a new “thing” with some guy and part of the thrill is figuring out how to do this in front of the world and look normal. The SF would easily work into the plot…out together, but not together….anticipation of meeting soon to be together. She easily could have been manipulating Kyron, drugging Kyron, whatever, to cover her trail in case he talked. It would explain why she won’t talk…she doesn’t know where Ky is and she doesn’t know how/why this happened. She just knows she caused it (let that vampire in). This would be why she wanted that truck. It would explain why she wanted to drive him to school but didn’t want to pick him up after school…or pick up the project. She was busy. Could explain why DS went missing….to go looking for Ky. Or maybe TH knew where to find SZ but Ky was already gone and she let him take care of disposal and disappear. Could explain why she looked like a deer in the headlights at the first presser. Would explain why she failed poly’s…won’t talk…pleading the 5th….she’s toast and she knows it. SZ easily could have been someone without an IT trace. Just a guy, working for cash, doing odd jobs when he ran into this crazy redhead. It really doesn’t take long to develop “plans” if you put the right people together….Maybe half of these so called friends of hers went along with keeping their mouth shut because they knew she was having an affair and they knew she would go to jail because of her involvement with SZ…but she didn’t harm Ky…so they stood by her. She easily could have convinced them that she didn’t know what he was doing and she “never would have allowed this to happen if she knew”. Because they don’t believe she harmed Ky so they are keeping their mouth shut…maybe DS is the only one who knows the truth, but she doesn’t blame TH and doesn’t want to see her spend her life behind bars for something someone else did. Remember, she only tells little lies mixed in with truth. This would also explain all those converations they needed to have with those bat phones. If I had more time, I could probably cover all her appearances of guilt with the behind the scene explanation of what people do when they plan affairs. But I have to get some sleep now…
It isn’t the affair she fears admitting….its the fact that she knowingly or unknowingly allowed this guy to do what he did, now Ky is gone and she doesn’t know how to get out of this mess without facing prison time. She let the vampire in….

why stand around waiting for the bus driver to ask the secretary, when in reality they would have to look for kyron if he was at the school, which is what most parents would have thought, why not just call or go there yourself? i dont get it.
what is most perplexing to me in this whole situation from start to finish is that i dont see th doing anything that a “normal” person would do on any day or on a day like that one, in response to their step child being missing.

However, in an early interview, I remember DY saying she expected TH at the SF until 10:00 (sorry, I can’t find that video now). My understanding is that the children were to tour the SF in small groups from 9:00 to 10:00 (presumably, this would be when TK saw Ky with his friends in the gym). DY’s statements gave me the impression that TH volunteered to be a chaperone at the SF. If so, why did she leave early? Did she use the “Dr’s appt” as an excuse to renege on her prior commitment?

Which would also explain Desiree’s statement that what Terri was saying to her during the phone call from the school after Kyron was found missing seemed less than honest and did not make sense according to what Desiree already knew.
It might also explain why Tanner called the chaperone a ‘sub’… because she was ‘subbing’ as a chaperone for Terri.
It would also shed light on what we heard second hand from a poster who claimed to be a friend of a relative of Ms. Porter… that Terri wanted to tour with Kyron alone. Perhaps she told Ms. Porter she had to back out of being a chaperone and she and Kyron would need to leave early for a doctors appoint after briefly viewing the exhibits.
If I were Desiree and if what Karey writes is true, I would immediately feel something was off with Terri’s story. Then to have Terri remark, “You mean you’re coming to Portland?”… the hairs on the back of my neck would have stood straight up.
I’ve been in the ophthalmic industry for twenty years. Decided to peek at the glasses on the MCSO image (posted with Kyron’s clothes) vs. the image of him wearing them at the science fair and bowling.
I do not think they are the same glasses, primarily because on Kyron the nosepads are splayed much wider than the glasses in the image provided by LE. Also, the glasses in the MCSO website look very new, not a mark on them. Additionally, though it’s not 100% foolproof because photos can be deceiving, in the MCSO image the lenses do not appear to have an Rx in them.
I doubt anyone who assisted in Ky’s disappearance even factored Tony into the equation. I doubt Terri really gave Tony much thought. Psychologically, anyone capable of doing this are so self involved that they fail to consider the reactions of others in more than a shallow way.

Does anyone know who printed the “Missing” tee shirts and buttons that were worn for the first PC? Red flags to me at the time, it seemed so orchestrated. I read a post that stated it was TmH but that is not confirmed. I cannot imagine organizing and arranging the printing during a time when I would be in complete and total shock. Possibly someone in the community took that on and that would explain. I also found it strange that they waited a week before appearing publicly with LE who stated “and remember, they stand together here as a family”… what was the purpose of that statement? I have watched this PC numerous times, with and without volume to observe body language and you might say that everyone reacts differently to situations but body language is real.. and it is MOO that they all appear sketchy with the exception of DY.

On another note, as can be seen in this video it is clear that if KH’s white truck which “TmH was last seen driving in front of Skyline between 815 and 845 in the morning” was indeed parked where LE states it was, it would have been hidden from the school and as well from the GK. GK stated that he arrived between 845-900. I wonder if GK kept that schedule and that would have been known to TmH as a clear time period to TCB.

Regarding DdS – IIRC Kaine said in the beginning that TmH and DdS only saw each other a couple times a year when in fact this article states that they have both known her for 7 years and that she and TmH worked out together on a “regular basis”. What would be the purpose of KH lying about TmH relationship with DdS?
Additionally, it was stated that DdS left her vehicle at her place of employment during her absence so if she left her workplace she either walked or was picked up.

Could (hiding in plain sight) possibly be someone who owns a family orientated business close to the school and the H home with lots of activities for children, that someone also being connected to more than a few youth groups including church groups and camps? Could that person be someone who has a child at Skyline and was at the SF that day, someone very familiar to KyH and whom KyH would probably trust? A person who is/was employed at Intel? If there have been subsequent interviews of other children, could that possibly be (knowledge of things we wish we didn’t)?
Is it possible that this person is known to LE, they simply lack physical evidence?

It was stated a long time ago that Kaine was working at home early that fateful afternoon. So, if he was going to be home, his truck would be there with him. Why did Terri need the truck that morning? Did she drop off Kyron’s project THAT morning? This whole thing STINKS. Now the divorce hearing is on hold. Could be postponed for up to three months. If Terri is pregnant, that would probably give her enough time to deliver and be “unpregnant” by the time a new hearing date is set. Very convenient. I just want to know where this little guy is. I mean no disrespect … but I really do not understand why so many are adament that TH be guilty in the disappearance of her step-son. If she is, she is. But until she is charged, why not explore all the possibilities of what happened. LE is.

I don’t know what happened … but I’ve not seen anything that says TH removed this child from Skyline Elementary on June 4th. At times, I admit, something new has popped into the public realm and I have said to myself “that’s it”, but then someone posts a reasonable explanation and I have to back up and rethink “well yea, that’s possible”.

Saying she isn’t talking or fighting to see her daughter because she is trying to keep her safe is pretty far fetched. WHY isn’t she talking?? WHY isn’t she asking for LE or the FBI to help keep her family safe?? From the begining there were TONS of opportunities for this woman to reach out.. Did she?? NO. She clamed up and lawyered up.
You are correct there are many sites out there jumping all over her and I do not condone that but I can also can’t condone people who don’t even know her making up every excuse to make her look like this loving wife and mother.. @Investigator – IMO this is a plausible theory. It is very similar to one that Mockingbird posted a long time ago ie. that TH was having a relationship with someone else besides RS or MC that was the “vampire”. I consider CL to be a huge security risk and personally have never and will never us it for that reason alone. We know that TH was/has used CL so it is indeed possible that she unwittingly met/ introduced/invited Ky’s abductor into their lives in this way. Further, it is possible that she doesn’t know the real identity of said person, therefore the frustration on the part of LE, DY, KH, TY for her to tell the truth and come clean, because they think/thought she knew exactly who this person was/is. I’ve always had a suspicion that she was meeting up with someone on June 4th for some hanky panky, and didn’t want her husband or LE to find out about it. This would go far in explaining her failed polys (IMO it seems she only failed certain questions pertaining to things other than Ky’s disappearance), and the ensuing panic, fear and guilt she displayed on June 4th and the days following. I’ve always considered it very possible that TH had a bat phone B4 June 4th that she was using for reasons other than abducting or harming Ky. It is possible that she knows SZ but doesn’t actually know who SZ really is. I think CL is a breeding ground for a lot of criminal activity, very much an “enter/use at your own risk” type of site. All just IMHO.

about TH knowing that Desiree”s husband is LE, I think she believed(s) she is smarter.Not only in this situation but I think this is her personality. After all she has a masters degree and he is only a cop.(what I imagine coming from her) Look how she dumped her room mates bookshelf w/books out in the rain and couldn’t see anything wrong with it. I think the postponement means absolutely nothing.
There is probably no formal cooperation between LS and KH and his attorney.
TH and KH are leading separate lives, and there is no need for an emergency divorce.
Unless TH aggressively pursues custody/visitation of Kiara, there is no pressing need for the state to protect Kiara, the status quo is adequate.
I don’t see any reason to litigate “permanent” child custody arrangements since one of the following two scenarios will most likely occur.
1) TH is arrested, convicted and sent to jail. In this case she obviously would not get custody of Kiara and would not be able to pay or receive spousal support.
2) TH is eventually exonerated, or at least found not guilty. In this case child custody and spousal support arrangements would be challenged, and the entire process re-litigated.
Now it is possible that the current state of TH as potential POI may linger on for a long time – but eventually TH will break her silence in some way and either confess or openly defend herself.
I am also reasonably confident that a new judge would find a way to put this case off as long as possible. Kiara is not in danger, no-one has alleged that James is in danger, and there is nothing the family court can do to help find Kyron

forgive if this has been asked before, but I’m not seeing it. it was almost the end of the school year, the bus drivers get to know all of their students. in my experience if only one child is dropped off at a particular stop, the driver usually notices that child is not on the bus & does not stop as they normally would. are the skyline bus drivers not on the same route all year?

So if number 1 is true-the person who took Kyron could NOT have known the Horman family very well. Because if they knew them well, they would know more about the family dynamics and know that TY is a cop. This person could have been an internet buddy(games, bodybuilding sites, etc.), but even in that case, I would think the bad guy would have gotten as many details out of TH as possible before striking. Especially something as important as a close family member being a police officer.
This would lend itself towards a random predator then-because if TH set the whole abduction of Kyron up, then whoever did it would most likely know that TY was a cop. If TH talked to the predator enough to get him/her to take Kyron, I am assuming that she would blab about a lot of things in her life, including important details about the other adults in her family circle. TH just doesn’t strike me as a person who would have kept her mouth shut about details, until now of course, but her silence now is lawyer induced.
I can’t get it out of my head that she let really bad people(knowingly or unknowingly) congregate all around the perimeter of her family (through whatever online/offline presence she had built up)-until one day-one of those bad people broke ranks and came right in.

Can you please comment on this past story written by Steven Kanter on Oregon Live? This has bothered me ever since I read it last summer as I have not heard anything forthcoming about what happened (or didn’t) regarding this guy’s discovery of a bloody sock (believed to be a child’s no less). This area isn’t really that far from Portland so wondering why the authorities he called didn’t seem to even be interested in it. Was it ever tested? How do they know it’s not somehow connected to Ky’s disappearance? Seems to me they would at the very least follow-up on it to see if it might be connected to some other unsolved case in the region. The reaction he received from authorities that day was downright appalling! What kind of LE completely blows off a discovery like this with allegedly no investigation or testing of it whatsoever with a child missing in a nearby city and no leads up to that point?
Can you please comment on this at all? Any possibility it might actually be connected somehow? No trace of Ky has ever been found in the immediate Portland area, so why not start looking elsewhere outside of Portland? How does LE know this isn’t connected????

Have you all noticed that since Sheriff Staton asked KH, DY and TY not to make any statements there has been next to zero coverage of Kyron in the media? Pizzes me off. It seems the only way to get any attention for him is when his parents go rogue and talk to the press OR the press swarms on the divorce proceedings and has a field day. I’ll bet there will be another big media run this Thursday at the court house. I’m beyond disappointed in the local media for not showing more backbone in pursuing some answers and keeping this story alive. The mere fact that we are this far down the road without answers is worth a new write up and mention on the news. Why isn’t anyone in the media getting tough and asking if there is a chance that this wasn’t an isolated incident?! All just IMOO.

Took me a while to find it again myself! It was a view I had never seen of TH and it seems odd the way she is holding her hand on her stomach. Another poster suggested she was holding her coat closed, but that’s not what it looks like to me. This pic would have been in November.
