Former UVA Cop Charged With Rape: Sean Michael Horn Faces Bond Hearing Today
Charlottesville, VA- Sean Michael Horn, 42, current Albemarle County reserve deputy and former police officer for the University of Virginia as well as the Albemarle Sheriffs Office was arrested last evening for rape. The arrest follows an extensive investigation conducted by the prosecutors office.
While
The arrest follows what can only be described as a series of chaotic incidents and events affecting Albemarle county law enforcement officers since 2009 at a minimum.
Following the death of 18 year old Greene County resident Colby Eppard on New Years Day 2010 by police gunfire, 7 Albemarle county officers were either suspended and/or demoted. Caleb Marden, a decorated sharp-shooter who served in Iraq was fired. Denise Lunsord, prosecutor for Albemarle county and North Garden resident, cleared all officers of any wrongdoing from the incident.
Eppard allegedly stole a neighboring Greene County patrol car and traveled almost 60 miles to Albemarle county. Although off duty Greene Sgt Randall Snead was out of his jurisdiction, Snead was among the officers in pursuit of Eppard and participated in the ambush to stop the teen. Snead’s former mentor and Sherriff, Willie Morris, committed suicide on January 28th.
Although he was on desk assignment pending the investigation of Eppard’s death, Snead responded to the scene of Morris’s home where he was located and rushed to the hospital. Morris was removed from life sustaining efforts without ever regaining consciousness. A suicide note blamed his tinnitus condition.
In a recent election, Steve Smith won the Sheriff slot running against Snead, and has since met with controversy after releasing nearly all of his staff. An email criticizing Smith was received by several news outlets from a previously fired Albemarle County Lt. Scott Cox, then a Greene county deputy who has since been released. Horn has Sheriff Smith listed as a friend on his facebook profile. Cox was among the Albemarle County Officers who was demoted after 18 years of service in the scandal.
Albemarle county is also the home of The Anchorage Farm, where murdered Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington was recovered after exhaustive searches of the areas surrounding the JPJ arena, UVA campus and private LE searches failed to locate her. Harrington disappeared from a Metallica concert at the John Paul Jones Arena on October 17, 2009 after being refused re-entry by security. DNA evidence has linked the Harrington case to a suspect in an unsolved rape in Fairfax, VA in 2005. Former lead detective now retired, Lt. Rader, has only indicated that forensic link means that Morgan came into contact with that individual prior to leaving Charlottesville.
Efforts to confirm whether Sean Horn was working the event as a UVA officer that evening have not been returned.
Corrine Geller, public information officer for the Virginia State Police, whose agency leads the probe into Morgan’s homicide responded to our inquiry as to whether or not Horn was a target of their continuing investigation this morning:
“The investigation remains ongoing at this time. I’m not able to comment on who our agents have or have not looked into during the course of their investigation.”
Horn lists Virginia Tech among his educational credentials on his facebook account, where Harrington was a junior at the time of her disappearance. It is not known if the two were acquainted.
Horn is being held in the Albemarle Regional jail pending his bond hearing today.

Honest to God, when Mama writes, I’m gone. There is just something inside me that can’t understand this thing that happened to Morgan that night. In ALL my research for years and years I’ve never heard of a woman so beaten up. How does one go about beating a person that badly? That’s full body trauma. I’ve heard this couldn’t possibly have been an accident, that she couldn’t have been hit by a vehicle. I still can’t get past it. There has got to be something more than just someone hit her with a baseball bat, or billy club, there was way too much trauma to Morgan’s body, almost like someone started hitting her, she got away than was run over. Just not computing for me.
I have to say I was really stunned by the reference to broken ribs. I usually associate that level of violence and anger with a personal relationship between victim and murderer. Very sad and frightening to think of that person running loose.
The poem is hard breaking and straight from the core of a mother’s heart. My prayers are with the Harringtons every minute of every day. May God Bless them and help give them strength.
Now….they HAVE to catch this bastard, there is no room for failure here.

@Q, I agree. They must know that the wounds were inflicted befor death or not. If they were inflicted after death, then all kinds of things could have happened, like being trampled on by cows, or run over with ATV’S. If the murderers were that angry with Morgan, then they must have known her. (like a jealouse boyfriend who stabs 100 times) If they did not know her, then they must have been arrested sometime, somewhere for violence. They have to be in the system somewhere, even if they are there as the victim themselves as children. This sort of violence isn’t created overnight. The only other thing it could be is crazy PTSS behaviour from army personelle.
Gill, I do not know how they could have hurt Morgan. I do not know how men could be that evil. You do not have to move on. You stay right there, until they arrest Morgan,s killers. Her friends should not move on either, not until justice is done. They might just as well turn themselves in, because no one will stop hunting those evil insane merciless clowns.
Morgan was lucky to have you for her mother, Gil.
We are all here with you and we are going to stay here until whoever did this to Morgan is caught and punished.
Hang in there.
To Dan and Gil,
My thoughts were with you all day today. During my work, each time I wrote 01/26/12, I thought of 01/26/10. What a terrible anniversary to have. Just so you know, I still follow Morgan’s case faithfully, always hoping for news that the devil’s been caught. He will be and he will pay for his wicked, wicked unspeakable deeds. I hope you continue to find strength and peace as you wait and work to ‘Save the Next Girl’. Many prayers and blessings to you.
Where is the monstrous beast who did this to Dan and Gil’s little girl? Somebody knows…
Blink and everyone, as always, I appreciate so much all you do to keep Morgan’s unsolved murder out in the public and still searching for the answers. I still am here reading every day. One day, the answers will be there and then justice will begin.
I’m a firm believer in you reap what you sow and what goes around comes around. It’s my belief that one day the ones who are hiding the truth will break, when they see evil and destruction come upon the ones they love. I wouldn’t want to walk one step in those shoes. The ugly secrets kept, will spew forth and the silence will end.

“Virginia State Police and UVa Police are continuing their ground search around the University of Virginia Thursday for any further clues about Morgan Harrington’s disappearance. They’re focusing their attention on the area behind the UVa track and the Davenport baseball field. A State Police spokesperson tells the Newsplex they’ve received some new tips that caused them to search the area again Thursday.

I wonder what someone saw or heard back there that night.

dda- I know who you are, np, lol.
I believe you have to sign out of whatever you are in (maybe FB) and then post. I cannot change it on my end, so I will delete and try again. thanks

Just to add to my last post as I thought about it for awhile. Rock GARDEN Drive in Fairfax, and Ivy GARDEN Apartments in Charlottesville, which is located behind the baseball field. Zoom the map in:

Sorry Blink, I guess I should continue my thought process with the post window still open so I don’t post multiple times lol.
I think that someone needs to do a look up of employees in security who may have worked or lived in those two apartment complexes. Now, one would think that it would have obviously been done, how ever I’m not certain just who was running the apartment buildings and be aware of just what LE would have been asking for at that point in time. Possibly even past jobs such as a prison guard.
Plus, if you read up on Ivy Garden Dr apartments, they have only one review that says someone had gone to see one of their apartments, it was raining and whoever was running the place just gave them a key to go look at it themselves, didn’t even bother to go with them.

thanks, tango.
if curtsey duo had just come from the the baseball field area, and iirc they did, they would know if there was anyone in that vicinity.
i also noted this in the portion of the story dated evening update 10/21/2009:
“Charlottesville and Albemarle Police are aiding the UVa Police and Virginia State Police with their investigation.”
not being familiar with the locality and jurisdiction precision, i wonder if anyone finds it unusual for Albemarle Police to be involved in the search so early on in the investigation?
dt
i have found most aspects of how the Abelmarle Police operates to be unusual. sexcapades, Colby Eppard no dashcams, this case, LT. Rader gone, sheriff dead, JADE, the list goes on …
Ivy gardens is full of law students and business school students. They are nothing special but are okay. They are not very close to where Morgan was. Close to a mile unless you could cut through the fields, which you couldn’t easily do. It surely isn’t unusual for an apartment complex to have the word gardens in its name.
I visit this website frequently to read about the case. I will not forget about Morgan and wish her family strenght. Justice for Morgan.
I am deeply saddened by Gils latest thoughts. She has such a way with words, despite Morgan being gone two years… with Gil’s poem the pain and anguish becomes raw and real and Morgan again becomes more than just another name of victim whose homicide is yet to be solved-
Cold case? Not so for Morgans Momma- not so for anyone that reads her words.
“Broken ribs- an ugly surprise”
These injuries can help to tell the story of what happened to Morgan and when and with how much brutality.
A forensic anthropologist can tell whether a broken bone happened before, during, or after death, as well as from what type of trauma is involved – falling from heights, blunt force trauma, etc.
—
Lacy Peterson
Two broken ribs, to her right side helped tell the story of what happened to the young 27 year old mother to be.
snipped from testimony:
But it’s very hard to break the ribs of a woman in her twenties. They’re very elastic, so that signifies…a lot of force…..The way ribs work, most of the rib is bone. So beginning with the attachment at the backbone, extending around the side, that’s all bone. Now, when you get towards the front, and it varies from person-to-person, and with age. But beginning, say, at the nipple line or so, in a younger person, some of the rib is not bone. It’s cartilage
—
Morgan was 20 years old- 7 years younger than Lacy-
Dear Morgan tells the story- just as Lacy before her-
How many rib bones were broken? Where? To which side or both?
A picture of brutality seems to come into focus…
“It’s very hard to break the ribs of a woman in her twenties. They’re very elastic, so that signifies…a lot of force.”
My prayers to The Harringtons

-Was it the curtsy Duos tips that lead LE in that direction? Or were these tips what lead LEO to the curtsy duo?
Was the curtsy encounter witnessed- and if so by whom? As according to other reports all witnesses were gone from the lots when the curtsy duo entered the area…and if these tips were from the curtsy duo themselves- Did Morgan seem to be heading in the direction away from the bridge- and to the track/field at this time?
BBP? witnesses gone at 9:20- enter C- duo- then bridge sightings occur- “within ten minutes” of bridge sightings… gone by 9:36 at the latest it would seem
I am more confused then ever on the timeline
AJMO
Because you are an uber smartie and the timeline does not fit the timeline. The ONLY witnesses to the curtsey dudes are each other.
B
I’m in agreement with Redly on this one–the Ivy Gardens Apartments are not especially nearby. BUT there ARE plenty of other apartments and residences along 250 near the bridge. Just across the street, in fact. The important similarity, I think, between the FF incident and this one, is the proximity of where she was last seen (bridge or RV lot) to woods, a wooded path, isolated fields, isolated parking lots, and the closed-for-the-night FOAN. I have walked around the RV lot, FOAN, the parking lots behind FOAN and the Chinese restaurant, Copeley Road and Bridge, and the larger U-Hall parking lots. It’s all very close, and on that night it was very dark and she could have been abducted in the same way that the FF victim was.
I have long wondered whether the curtsy duo has been investigated enough, and whether their DNA has been tested. Who ARE they???
I caught the Albemarle Police being involved Oct. 21,’09, in the link above from tango’s and deetee’s posts. ODD.
Blink, do you know why, or if that would be usual???
Oh, and PS: Where were the ‘leggings’ that were reported seen during the search, and which day was that search??
near the observatory.
B
Blink do you know the identities of curtsy duo? Never mind. I know you couldn’t answer if you do.
Thank you mom3.0 and deetee!
redly, I luv ya man, but it isn’t wrong to mention those apartments, especially given the tip that led LE to the area behind Davenport field, ivy gardens’ backyard. But it is interesting to know who lives there.
IF father/daughter are to be believed, which I do, and IF the basketball players are to be believed, which I really want to do, then IMO Morgan HAD to have returned to the RV lot OR the purse and phone were returned post crime. There is no viable possibility otherwise IMO. Morgan simply didn’t have time to blithely curtsy and then franticly hitchhike. Doesn’t compute.
OMG I think its frantically. And I was my county’s spelling bee champion two years in a row. Geesh.
My heart goes out to Gil and Dan and Alex.
No wonder we all fell in love with Morgan with parents like that.
I never met Morgan and I am still not “over” Morgans murder, her shiny light being snuffed out
violently and prematurely.
I cannot even begin to feel or imagine the loss and grief of her family.
Morgan had , still has a big light. Her soul shone bright. The soul never dies, if one believes in any higher power. I drowned as a ten year old child, and had to be resuscitated. Before they revived me I had a near death experience. I was struggling and fighting to breathe and live, but slowly a great calm came over me, an urge I could not resist, to just let go , to surrender to the sweetest sleep, and a feeling of infinite peace. It was an intoxicating feeling. My whole life flashed before me in slow motion, but I suppose in a matter of seconds or minutes, as I sank to the bottom of the river and became unconscious.
I saw all of my childish actions, like an objective judge looking at my life. I saw that when I hurt another person, that person became me, that I was only hurting myself, that we are all joined together. That we are in fact somehow ONE. I realized then, it was not worth consciously hurting another human “being.”
It brought home to me the concept of Karma. What goes around comes around. No one gets away with anything ultimately, even though it sure does not look like it so often in this weary old world, where evil and greed seem to win out. Morgans body is no longer alive, but Morgans spirit lives on. I am sure of it.
We must teach our young to take care of themselves and to watch out for their fellow man.
Gil and Dan Harrington refuse to go quietly. They have openly shared their grief with us and for ver touched our hearts and souls as Morgan has. We have learned so much from their courage dignity and grace in the face of unimaginable horror and grief. Thank you Gil and Dan for standing up for Morgan, for all of us, and for the next girl. Love and peace to you.
Oh, and PS: Where were the ‘leggings’ that were reported seen during the search, and which day was that search??

B
What does Bryant’s Handyman services do? (located near the observatory) IMO, if the leggings were found there, then that is the scene of the crimes. Who lives in the white cottage there?
I think that a security or other, even LE would have a difficult if not impossible time erasing the tapes from the observatory which would have crystal clear pictures of everything that went on to do with the leggings there, including the crimes, and later recovery of same. WOW! (only way someone could tamper with those suckers is if he were friends with a guard or other at the observatory…not likely IMO. Hope the CIA has siezed all the relevant data from Oct 17, 2009, and following months.
It is my opinion they were planted similarly to the shirt. Someone took great care to keep the search in town.

Beautifully stated Hummingbird ! It seems to me that the masses need to have the lessons of compassion re-instilled into their heads. And Karma ~ yes they can be told , but until a person feels that 1st bite of Karma , they won’t get it .
Blessings to all !
There have been some great posts on here over the two plus years that I’ve been reading/ posting, but none that made me feel like I do after reading what Hummingbird wrote just above. Thank you for sharing your experience- very inspirational and reassuring.
I hope that your words and anecdote bring the Harringtons some solace, too.
Dear Hummingbird,
One of my favorite websites is NDERF.org (near death experience research foundation) When I read the testimonies posted, I have renewed faith that there definately is life after death.
No wonder you are such a bright soul!
yes, those leggins. How could they have been found and then lost again?

How sad that the draconian idiots who run JPJ have inadvertently led to what may be the death of a young woman. I’ve been to a number of shows in the arena, and in fact a number of shows around the country, as I work in the music industry, and have never experienced the harassment at ANY venue that I have from the staff of the JPJ. I was at one show where someone down the row from me had a camera, and the staff proceeded to hover and annoy all of us in the vicinity for three songs while they tried to police the offender several people down. I finally explained to them that I’d paid $100 each for my party’s tickets, and I didn’t appreciate them ruining my evening by staring past me down the row and waving like imbeciles. At least they left us all alone after that. But it’s been like that every time I’ve attended an event there. And now someone is probably dead because they were afraid she took a drink in her car instead of paying their outrageous prices. Unbelievable.
————————————-
I have often wondered if Morgan was pushed and harrassed as she tried to take pictures of the band. Her missing camera, her torn ticket, not being able to get back in and the granny parking lot sighting, that it looked like the couple knew each other.

Well said Alexandra my thoughts exactly!! Thank you for the website I will go there for sure and check it out.
Yes CentVA native away I am glad my words moved you my friend. I hope my experience brings some solace to the Harringtons’ as well I think that’s why it all came tumbling out last night lol!!
You too lovely Alabamamom!!
Shout out to you dear Blink for keeping Morgans story alive. I am sitting here listening to live opera from the Metropolitan in New York. It is broadcast every saturday morning on 91.3 in Los Angeles.
I am awfully struck by how Scarpia the corrupt and violent statesman does not care whether Tosca desires him, in fact it excites him that she hates him and that he has her cornered. He has thought of everything. How to corner her, make her vulnerable prey on her and brutally , forcefully , have his way with her.Everyone is afraid of his violent moods and behavior. To Scarpia it is all about control and domination, that is how he gets his rocks off. It seems the same old shit was happening in Puccinnis’ day when the opera was written around 1900. Nothing has changed, too often people in power prey on the weak and abuse their position.
But Scarpias’ plan went to hell. Plan as he might he did not expect the beautiful Tosca, cornered and desperate, to impulsively grab a knife and stab him to death. She sings” Look at me , the great Scarpia killed by a woman!! the man all of Rome feared” She wants him to know she killed him as he dies.
I am certain Morgan fought back. She is still fighting for her killer will be hunted down and brought to justice. J4M!!
The curtsy duo were basically pervs staring at Morgan at the wrong moment. Either that or they had no clue as to look away when someone is using a restroom.
Its also no big brainer that Morgan was approached by many mostly men. Probably more then we know of.
The very reason I am posting is that i had to flee from the beach too many of them bothering me with talk about marriage etc. Its also a cultural thing, in some cultures your automatically free game when unchapperoned. I guess it was the same in our civilized cultures ages ago.
I have always wondered if the damage to the bones may have resulted from animal activity.
That is an excellent question, however, animal predation on a deceased individual that would fracture bones would need to be a larger carnivore in that area, and her remains were found in tight proximity to each other. In general, when larger predators are involved, that would not be the case.
That has always boggled my mind because there were folks on AF the week after Morgan went missing, and in my mind, there is no way someone is not going to notice the wildlife activity that goes along with that.
B
My neighbor had a full grown doe dead next to his yard and the birds and the squirrels reduced it to shards of bones in record time. – In fact I have seen the little rodents trap and consume birds at bird feeders. Oh well, nuts are protein. Something even consumed the bones. I didn’t camp out at night to find out “what”. We have read reports in the papers about coyotes wandering around, also. I have little dogs so I never leave them out by themselves.
Way back I discussed my thoughts on this, I was actually taking a course on decomposition at the time.

Rose7, The leggings were found near the corner of Jefferson Park Avenue and Observatory Avenue. It is not known for sure that they belonged to Morgan. They could have been dropped by a student on their way to/from laundry mat….we just don’t know…and won’t ever know if they weren’t retrieved. The day they were spotted was Sunday, November 8, 2009 at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Thanks for the response Blink-
If the only witnesses to the curtsy duo encounter are eachother… then – my question would be who alerted Police to that area to focus upon? Did these employees riding on their cart, immediately come forward with their remembrances?
(or did others point LE to that area…if so, it seems there may be more to the curtsy duo’s encounter with Morgan then just a silent smile and a curtsy…)
If they did immediately come forward- why was this encounter narrated in such a way- (pp) another strange encounter with the lone girl on a dark night…”increasingly desperate” yet in the same breathe “did not flag them down”- strange behavior “smiled” and “curtsied”
This encounter does not come off as “increasingly desperate” nor does it sound as if Morgan was in distress at that point- or even angry or upset…and she seemed to be in no hurry to get anywhere, as she “did not flag them down” she smiled and curtsied, doesnt sound as if she was worried about not having her phone or her purse at that point, as I think she would have been, had she inadvertently lost/dropped it, along with the umbrella-…. yet very shortly after this encounter Morgan seems to have had to high tail it over to the bridge- (inorder for the timeline to possibly work) where she was seen standing in a “classic hitchhiking” pose in the rain-
None of the bridge witnesses can verify whether or not Morgan was wearing her purse…. which she may have been- but it being a B/p style could have been obscured from view… what about the umbrella?
Was it open or closed? Noone is certain if it was hers or not, there may have been another encounter with a different good Samaritan- who offered her an umbrella… perhaps on the bridge someone like the f/d saw Morgan standing out in the rain and offered their umbrella… no witness made mention of Morgan with the umbrella, earlier -was this the means by which the b/g approached Morgan, with an offer of the umbrella? Was this umbrella tested for trace evidence?
ps-Amy, I think it is just a theory that she may have been ready to go to the pottie or anxious to go to the potty- “doing the pottie dance” and that is why she was appearing to curtsy…I do not think that is a proven fact though
AJMO
They did not come forward on their own. An interesting point you raise about her umbrella.
It was never shown to the Harrington’s and the first they heard it was hers was in the Hook piece- to this day, they are not sure. Morgan did have a telescope ‘brella, but either assumptions were made, or there must be some other confirming factor.

Rose7, The leggings were found near the corner of Jefferson Park Avenue and Observatory Avenue. It is not known for sure that they belonged to Morgan.
The only way to know if they were Morgan’s would have been to test them. But what happened to them? The wind didn’t blow them off in to the woods?
IIRC the searchers that found them, reported their location and when they went back the leggins were gone? Unrecovered? Is that what happened?
( warning- somewhat graphic)
Minney Penney, -
Hi.
Interesting thought, but one in which I think it is very likely Morgans “lovely bones” discounted relatively quickly, once a forensic anthropologist examined the remains- (more info to follow)
Also, if we remember, Mr. Bass first mistook Morgans remains for that of a deer- IIRC, due in large part to the sight of her rib cage- He also described the sight of her toes- which to me, would tend to point to Morgans skeleton NOT being extremely dis-articulated- there-by seemingly discounting animal predation/necrophagia from a large scavenger, or group of overly determined scavengers…
Even without animal predation or necrophagia, a persons remains will become disarticutlated-
According to experts, the body usually disarticulates in a specific sequence. when other factors are not in play.
Disarticulation usually occurs in this order:
“Disappearance of body parts followed the general sequence: bones of the hands and wrists, bones of the feet and ankles, and the mandible and cranium. The lower legs, forearms, and upper arms are the next units to separate from the body”
quoted from-
(Haglund, WD. Disappearance of Soft Tissue and the Disarticulation of Human Remains from Aqueous Environments. Abstract.)
– minney and all, We can not know at this point, if Morgan was at first buried or if she was covered by debris or overhanging trees, or by a man made object- all of these factors would have prevented immediate access by large scavengers and also could have been a factor in other areas as well such as dis-articulation..-
We also can not know what clothing remained with Morgan- this would have helped her remains stay intact- it would also help investigators determine what, if any predation occurred-(rips etc)
What we do know is that the weather would have and did have a major impact on these as well as other issues– (such as with Mr. Bass finally discovering Morgan)
It has been said(though we cant be sure) that Morgan was placed in shallow dip or culvert, we know that field she was in sometimes flooded- it rained and major melting was occurring. Did this dislodge Morgan from her initial hiding place? I would think a low-lying dip or culvert would tend to cover the remains with water at least part of the time, add to that it snowed alot more than several feet- I would think that also played a part in covering and preserving Morgans remains and also might have been a huge factor which preventing immediate access to animal predation.
You are correct Minney Penney, animals do break apart bones and they do chew on them- but all this does leave undeniable evidence which points to this as the cause- I would think LE had no problem in determining if the fractures and the “shattered” bones and broken ribs were due to animal predation or not-
I followed the Caylee Anthony case, quite closely, and sadly, she too was disposed of and left to nature/animals- She was only 2 yearsold- all of her bones were recovered except 3 tiny bones – IIRC one from her neck and two from her extremities- and although they showed signs of animal predation/necrophagia- forensic anthropologists were able to determine she had no broken or fractured bones prior to her death, and they were able to determine which injuries were due to animal predation etc.
–
Just wanted to share some research which could help… and thank you Minney Penney for sharing your thoughts as well, as I think every possibility should not be disregarded because right now, we do not know, and therefore- all or nothing may prove to be in fact true-
AJMO
Gotcha on the editing Mom3.o
I so hate to go here again, but briefly and cursorally- the stages of decomposition change, and in some cases drastically, on a variety of environmental factors- some of which also dictate the “appeal” of interest animal predation.
As an example, open wounds (yeah this is so not meant to be a complete discussion please nobody make me) are going to take precedence in the process which will affect the rest of any indiginous cycle.
Did I just sound like a bunch of gobbledygook? Good for those who would rather not.
The lack of disbursement of Morgan’s remains tells a taphonomic tale.
B
ps to Mom3.0- I can remember being in lab and it hit me like a brick. Dr. Bass and David Bass.
Redly, thanks for always giving us an objective point of view- I so value your input.
Tango- your welcome-
Hummingbird, thank you for sharing your near death experience and much gratitude for sharing the lessons-
I also think we are connected and what we do comes back and echos through the ages… I am happy you survived to tell the tale
Sing it loud Dear Hummingbird and Let it echo forever.

J.me, who’s job was it to tell LE which things were found on the search? I remember Kenny telling us that his group found a burner phone along the RR tracks beside the Cage Lot. I’m just wondering if the group leader didn’t tell certain things when they were found.
Q- not J.me, but I did have interaction in this with VSP directly, so I am going to address if that is ok-
The item was flagged, it was up to VSP as to whether they “tagged and bagged” anything exclusively. They did not.
It is believed the reason was that the tights were footless, more like yoga pants, which I broke in the piece, and those on the search team and LRC brought it to my attention that they were told they were not going to collect the item because the tights were described as “footed”.
Because I believe that things were planted intentionally, I believe those tights were possibly Morgans.
B
Blink, I appreciate the help thanks.
It was Not gobbledygook to me, Blink. Although, I am sure anyone who does not wish to know, and hasnt researched, would have a hard time fully understanding the graphic info. So Nice work
I am sorry I made you go there, I do understand exactly what you are saying- and I concur-
ps the whole Bass vs Bass cosmic connection was not lost on me either. The Universe is a strange place.

They did not come forward on their own?- yet “The ONLY witnesses to the curtsey dudes are each other”-
Might I ask if this information was ascertained in the meeting that took place shortly after Morgans disappearance?… The one in which a confidential source told of some employees, security IIRC, matter of factly stating (pp) Morgans car was NOT driven to the arena?
Am I misremembering this meeting and the information that was conveyed?
PS The umbrella..I am confused to as why LE would not confirm with Morgans parents, at somepoint, certainly, before releasing the info regarding the umbrella- especially since so much of this case was thought to be known but later, became questionable- the car- the clothes- the jacket- the boots- the hair style – the driver etc-
I too wonder who LE thought to ask, and why they believe this confirmation did not warrant an agreement by her Mother and father….

Rock on Mom 3.0 like i have always said a heart of gold and the jaws of a bull dog lol!! Much love my misty mountain friend xoxo
Well guess what, that bite to the throat of the matter of Morgans murder, is what it is going to take to solve this unspeakable crime and bring justice for our beloved shine Morgan, I mean really just look at that luminous beauty , the soul that shines out of her eyes and her family.
Amigos …my friends and Blink all included, I have become lovingly, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually connected to y’all. Lol as if I don’t have enough drama in my daily life, and the daily grind, the struggle to just get through the day , maintain the status quo. Pick up the kids from school, pay bills, cook, work, fight , laugh, pray, hate , forgive. Oh my God what it takes to just be a human “being” it is vast , very vast and it encompasses birth, life and death. Morgans rude, violent, sadistic and evil murder rocked my world, blew me away in the most horrific sense. Made me aware of the existence of pure evil in this world. I do not know how to fight it. I do not know how to fully comprehend it, come to terms with it, how to learn to live with the knowledge that evil walks among us daily and we never know when it will strike. SUCH a heavy concept for a free wheeling , free spirit like I always prided myself to be. OMG!! Morgan was taken, brutally tortured, raped and KILLED from outside of a fricking rock concert . Music, her greatest love , my greatest love. She was ripped from this world. This incenses, offends, and horrifies me. Goddamn!! I want her murderer/murderers arrested NOW!!
ENOUGH of this bull shit!!
I say ENOUGH !!!!
Let justice be done…….
I want Morgans killer/killers to be found and to pay!!
HEAR ME LORD !!
LET JUSTICE BE DONE !!!!!
I had not seen this link posted here yet. It is our local NBC29 news story about Dr. and Mrs. Harrington’s visit to Copely Bridge last week. NBC29 ran the video for a few days and included in the video is Sketch and the link to the Fairfax rape. A lot of the comments on this story are disgusting. If it were not for the Harrington’s, Charlottesville and surrounding areas would never see Sketch on TV or even know he existed. A lot of people around here seem to have majorly let their guards down. Thank you so much, Dr. and Mrs. Harrington, for helping to save the next girl.

Oh Dear Hummingbird, how I struggle with exactly all of the things that you’ve stated. I stuggle with it daily as I look through all of the homicides, the many missing persons, and I want to either beat my head against a wall, or go out to the yard and just scream. It’s like I don’t know which way to turn, how to get justice for so many wrongs done to so many people. I look at crowds of people and wonder who among them are evil, which ones will someday possibly take a life. What has to push a person that far, what awful things happened in their lives to willingly cause such heartache for so many.
Just in the past year, I’ve watched so many cases go unresolved. Holly Bobo, Lauren Spierer, Lisa Irwin, Karen Swift, Katelyn Markham just to mention a few. I ask myself, how can LE improve their skills, how can we as the collective public help. I’ve said this before, I live, sleep and eat with Morgan’s case. I never allow myself to forget, even though I’m reading about another case because somewhere in the research, I always see more possibilities for ending this stagnation that has become Morgan Harrington’s murder.
I remember doing my own geographic profile of where a good possibility would be for whoever did this, to either live or work. I wasn’t the only one who thinks they were very close. The apartment complex is very close to where my area of interest was back then. I can’t help it wonder. But that’s all I can do is wonder because the total silence that has befallen this case, is so typical, so agonizingly typical.
Alexandra said, “The only way to know if they were Morgan’s would have been to test them. But what happened to them? The wind didn’t blow them off in to the woods?
IIRC the searchers that found them, reported their location and when they went back the leggins were gone? Unrecovered? Is that what happened?”

Basically YES….LRC did their job, but someone dropped the ball after LRC…MONTHS passed, and no, the wind did not blow them into the woods. But by the time a “higher up” in VSP was alerted to the idea that the leggings existed and could have been what they thought were supposed to be tights, months had passed and they were gone. IMO, a property manager, rightly, finally trashed them. And so the long ignored, flagged leggings were somewhere in the bottom of the landfill, covered in the whole world’s dna. Incompetence.

The largest problem that existed from the beginning, was that the public wasn’t ever notified EXACTLY what Morgan was wearing, from the boots, the leggings, the shirt, the skirt, etc. We should have had a photo of her attire, but instead only had possibilities to work with. Why was the only article that was really presented to us as actual was the necklace? No one knew for certain if the leggings were footless or otherwise. Incompetence indeed!
I simply asked Gil to describe Morgan’s tights. She did.
I asked her to look at some boots. She did.
We also then gleaned that there are missing socks.
Nobody had ever asked her those things prior to the piece, and I completely agree.

Additionally confirmed to blinkoncrime.com, Morgan was wearing “footless” tights or leggings, which would require additional socks.
Morgan was known for the very distinctive socks she wore under these boots.

Just a reminder of a previous article by Blink that addressed this. I remembered the sock comment and her little toes seen without those socks on makes me so sad, so mad and I will never give up my daily thoughts of this lovely girl I never met. I still have tears for her as I write this. I know you all feel this way too and I love you all for it.
