PRIME SUSPECT IN DISAPPEARANCE OF OCOEE WOMAN TRACY OCASIO JAMES HATAWAY LINKED TO JENNIFER KESSE
Ocoee, FL-In the latest development in the case of missing 27 year old Ocoee woman Tracy Ocasio, Orlando Police want to talk to James Hataway about what he may know about the disappearance of Jennifer Kesse.
Yesterday afternoon, Drew Kesse, Jennifer’s father, upon learning the last place Ocasio was seen leaving with Hataway, The Florida Taproom, he requested the OPD question Hataway as to what he might know.
In the past week, disturbing accounts of brutal violence against multiple women victims have been linked to Hataway with one common denominator: a ride home ends in violence. Hataway is incarcerated in the Orange County jail and was the last person to see Tracy Ocasio alive.
Recent reports indicate that Ocasio’s abandoned car was found unlocked with the front seats pushed forward and down. Her cell phone made an outgoing call at 4:30am the morning of May 27th; police have not released any further information on the identity of the call recipient.
Rachael Clarke, 22, the alleged female victim of Hataway last August, has been reinterviewed by the Seminole County Prosecutor but no decision to file charges has been made as of press time.
As previously reported on blinkoncrime.com, James Virgil Hataway has an extensive criminal record which includes kidnapping causing bodily harm, numerous traffic offenses and drug possession.
Seminole Police have also linked Hataway to yet another missing person, Onda “Chris” George. 
In February, an Apopka Patrolman came upon what appeared to be an accident of a car breaking through a barbed wire fence on Apopka and Ocoee Rd. Hataway, Tyler Watters and an unidentified third man were found wondering the woods on the scene, allegedly looking for George, the owner of the abandoned vehicle. George has an open warrant in Seminole County for trespassing on a construction site.
Watters was re-interviewed by Police this week following Hataways arrest and Police are looking for the 3rd witness from the scene but have not identified him publicly. There is no missing person report on file for Onda Christopher George, but police say he has never been found. 
A source inside the investigation has confirmed to blinkoncrime.com that the trio admitted to “Shrooming” that evening, but maintain George went off on his own while he was under the influence of the hallucinogenic and they have no idea what happened to him.

Jennifers parents, Drew and Joyce Kesse have said their daughter frequented the Florida Tap Room; the Orlando Bar where Ocasio was last seen with Hataway. Jennifer Kesse worked in Ocoee and lived there prior to purchasing her condo in Orlando two months to the day of her disappearance on January 24th, 2006. Jennifer’s car was found parked a mile from her home on January 26th and video of the OPD only known suspect captured an individual parking the car and leaving the scene. The area is well known for the drug “fringe.”
If that is not enough to compel further investigation for some, read on.
Jenn was a former member of the Cardio Club, next to the Florida Tap Room. Blinkoncrime has learned from a source speaking on the condition of anonymity, that both Greg Toole and James Hataway worked as personal trainers on occasion there. According to Jennifers family she was known to keep her gym bag in the trunk of her car. It is missing along with her purse, keys, cell phone and briefcase. Both men also have extensive tattoos and multiple piercings. Jenn had recently gotten a small shamrock tatoo that even close friends were not aware of until after the Kesse family developed pictures from Jenn’s camera missed by police. Could this be the link?
Jennifer went to High School in Hillsborough County; Hataway lived with his Aunt for a time when his parents separated in between stints in and out of the juvenile detention system in Tampa. Had she met him in school? Did she know his kidnapping victim there? They are the same age.
Both Hataway and Toole are in the construction and debris removal business. Hataways Dad and he regularly dredge ponds and other bodies of water under contract. I can confirm that Toole was incarcerated when Jenn disappeared, Hataway was not. Both Toole and Hataway were recently arrested within 3 days of each other. Toole 4/16/09 for failure to register as a sex offender, and Hataway 4/19/09 on a criminal mischief felony charge appearing to be vandalism or graffiti to a business. Anyone wonder if maybe a little trouble in paradise set in for these two?
Did Toole, Hataway, George or Watters work on any of the construction renovations to Jennifer Kesse’s condo?

Apearantly James Hataway has been very busy doing terrible violence. What is striking to me reading this article is my memory of what I saw when I watched the video of his court hearing concerning possesion of drug paraphernalia last week. The clerk(?) and attorney for the state(?) could only find drug charges and traffic stuff in his record. Too bad, the attempted murder of Rachael Clarke was in some paperwork apearantly moldering in a stack on a shelf somewhere.
The case about Jennifer Kresse has some strange things regarding her behavior that have come out for the first time. Did her parents know of the possibility of Jenn being in contact with these individuals? Sometimes law enforcement hold things too close to the vest and dosn’t allow the community to help in solving a crime. In my opinion, this is what happened and as a result, the case is still not solved and in addition there are two or three other people who are missing and not found.
I don’t know how long it is going to take for young women to learn to be careful about where they work, party and who they let into their lives. They have accepted the new liberal view that they are equal to men and as a result they take chances in dangerous situations. This drives caring parents and other family members nuts.
I hope this is the beginning of solving all these cases.

I don’t know how long it’s going to take for young men to learn that they can’t prey on young women. We are not for the taking! These types of crimes have occurred long before anyone accepted a new liberal view that women should be paid equal pay for equal work, so, please get off your soap box and consider the victims and their families.

Two things- Jenn’s family and friends did know about the tattoo- they just didn’t have a picture of it until some film was developed. Also, she didn’t live in Ocoee- just worked there. She lived in Metrowest off Raleigh prior to moving to Mosaic. It’s just down the street from the Florida Tap Room. I do find that gym connection interesting..
Prayers to the Kesse’s and Ocasio’s as they search for answers and to bring both Jenn and Tracy home.

This post is to a texas grandfather. Perhaps these thing happen because of people that share your views and insist on blaming the victim. I would love to know what new information has come out about Jennifer’s behavior that caused her to disappear. Are you referring to living her life instead of sitting home, pregnant and barefoot in the kitchen fixing up the man’s dinner and cleaning his underwear?
Do not presume to speak for all caring parents. I am a mother of an 18 year old myself and I encourage her to live her life to the fullest, while being mindful of her surrounds and the people she associates with. She has just as much of a right to enjoy her life as any man does.
By the way, I spent hours of my time with other posters here trying to find Jennifer and I resent your insinuation that she somehow had something to do with her abduction.

Does anyone know if Hataway provided dumping services to any of the constuction contractors working on the Mosaic complex where Jennifer lived? Or the contruction company that was building the townhomes right behind Mosaic? Where was he living at the time of Jenn’s disappearance and did he take public transportation to or from that area? Perhaps she ran into him while mailing her brother’s friend’s cell phone or gassing up at the 7-11 on the corner of Conroy and John Young Parkway and ran into him. She may have known him from Tampa, the Tap Room or the Cardio Club and he may have asked her for a ride. It’s important to know where he was living and working during the time of her disappearance. Westgate Resorts, where she worked was very close to where he was recently living in Ocoee, but was he living there back then? Could he have run into her as she was parking her car at work? There are so many possible connections to this guy.
Yes, all of the above. I know alot of people do not agree with me on this, but I think it is a mistake to state emphatically that Jenn went missing in the morning. I do NOT agree. There is only speculation to that effect. I interpret the scene differently and feel absolutely she could have gone out that evening to send the Fed EX.
In the instance that we agree she knew Hataway and there was some familiar connection, if you follow his profile, that guy is NOT up at 7am looking to steal somebody. He’s out all the time looking for prey, high, and at night.
Personally, I do not think Jenn would have given this guy the time of day unless she was aquainted with him in some way. She did not use drugs and she was not promiscuous, but she was kind. Did she feel safe enough to give him a ride that evening?

This guy is clearly a chamelon. He is violent and tells his guy friends about it. But if he were to show that to women, none would ever let him into their cars as, apearantly, many have.
Look at the film on wftv.com of him in court. His demeanor is very calm and patient. Also his posture in the video of him & Tracy leaving the bar is erect and relaxed. He does not look like furtive jerk. He’s not an OK guy, but he LOOKS OK.
No one is really able to protect society from dangerous aquaintances. I have a couple of those myself and as much as I want to prevent disaster, I cannot. I have “called” them on behaviors which are likely to damage others and have been met with denial and self rightous outrage.
Lately, in cases of multipal death shootings, I hear the question; Didn’t anyone see the signs that this person was swerving out of control? My guess is; YEAH, most likely, some did see those signs. But honestly little can be done about it.
Imagine if I go to the police and tell them that this alchoholic woman is gunna kill someone with her Hummer some day. Or that guy who just bought a gun is a depressed, anxious, unstable mess ready to blow a gasket any minute. The reality; she has a valid driver’s liscense and his gun is registered.
We can only protect ourselves and our own children. As we can see in the example of James Hattaway, many who have learned his tendancies have distanced themselves.

*** in regards to the tattoo- I know that the Kesse’s and her friends and family were aware of it because some of her family got the four-leaf clover tattoo after Jenn went missing to continue to have that connection to Jenn. In regards to the gym, I don’t recall it being a friend, but rather some young woman visiting a friend who lived at Mosaic and she used the gym and had mentioned the creepy guy in the gym on property at Mosaic. I have not heard about the gym that Jenn had frequented prior to living at Mosaic. That is news to me.
To all who read here who know the Kesse Family, know that we all have been focusing on finding Jenn for the last 40 months and no one is going to stop focusing on that until she is found and is home. Kesse’s- you know that I send all my love, strength, hope, and prayers today and always

There’s one detail about Jenn’s disappearance that has always bothered me. Her cell phone. To the best of my knowledge, there was no activity, either incoming or outgoing or pinging on her phone after her 10:00 pm phone conversation with Rob. If this is the case, wouldn’t her phone have pinged once she left Mosaic? Also, whoever took Jenn knew enough to disable or shut off her phone immediately. Since Tracey’s phone pinged when her mom tried to call her at 8:00 a.m. the next morning, whoever took her (and I’m convinced it is Hataway) did not think to disable her phone. Why would he have known to do it 3+ years ago, and not know enough to do it now? This little detail is just niggling at me.
You bring up my number 1 issue in Jenn’s case that for me, tells me whatever happened to her, happened the evening of 1/25, early am of 1/26. No data on cell after 10:30PM, AND when Rob calls/texts her next morning around 6:30am, the phone is “powered off”. Never on again.
Tracy’s phone pinged up to and including 8:30 am phone call. Ougoing call at 4:30am, no words. Never left the area. What they were searching for yesterday was Chris George’s cell, which is very close to the vicinity.
One other thing. Do we know what kind of a vehicle Hataway used to remove debris? Was it a trash compactor type truck? If so, to whom was it registered? How long would dna remain in a vehicle? I think you know where I am going with this without getting into details.

The Orlando Sentinel this morning is full of people coming out of the woodwork to tell nasty stories about this Hataway slime. Texas Grandfather: it is not that women are somehow less valuable than men, it is that some men target women. It may not be politically correct to say that, but it is a fact. We girls of any age must try hard not to go off alone with a man we do not know very well. It can be a deadly mistake. It is not a question of equality but a question of safety. There are 1000′s of Hataway style men for each Wuornos type woman.
I, too, am wondering about Hattaway’s work. Blink wrote; “Both Hataway and Toole are in the construction and debris removal business.” I am assuming that he worked on construction jobs, but not necessarily just the debris removal part of construction work. And the debris removal work is specifically done in the dredging and clearance of bodies of water; work he did with his father. Is that correct? Or did he work the carting/construction-dumpster portion of construction? Wrong speciality for a guy who’s driver’s license is often suspended.
While there is NO excuse for violence against women, we need to be talking to our daughters, this generation who as young teens are posting photos of themselves on My Space and Facebook that are almost identical to what you see on “Escort” sites. Come on, let’s teach our girls they can demand more than that as an identity. I lurk on my daughter’s site (with permission) and I cannot believe what these young girls put out there, and the responses from these young boys. What is this teaching young men about women? I do believe there are brains that are “wrong” from the get-go, but feeding the monster never helps society.
By the way, I am not making reference to photos regarding this case (other than some of the ones with obviously drunk dingdongs flashing what used to be gang signs…that is so Casey Anthony!) We all have the right to pursue the lifestyle we wish to, and to “live life to the fullest”, but it is a dangerous world, so our rights and reality sometimes clash. I hope all the bad boys involved in this case get what they deserve for all the women that they hurt.
I just answered my own question about who Hataway worked for and, therefore, whose vehicle was used to haul debris and that is his father. I think they need to bring cadaver dogs to all the vehicles owned by Hataway’s father and get his business records to see if he provided services to any of the contractors working on Mosaic. If he owns a compactor-type truck, that needs to be checked sooner rather than later. I know that they searched the home but were specifically looking for Tracey’s cell phone and purse. I did not intend to infer that young women should not be allowed to live their lives to the fullest. What I was trying to get across is being careful where you travel and who you decide to allow into your life. Bars are always dangerous places for young women even when in a group.
Yes, we need to somehow teach young men of the current generation to respect and protect the women around them. The drug culture that abounds in every city and many small towns creates men with no respect for anyone. This is what creates the danger. There is usually a pattern of bad behavior behind everyone of these crimes by the perp. Our judicial system is failing the people by allowing these people to be on the street.
I have two daughters and four granddaughters who are more than twenty years of age. I know the worry that parents and grandparents have regarding the safety of their children. One of my daughters was in law enforcement for twenty years and some of the cases she worked will put you in a rage because of the way bad people get constantly parolled by liberal judges.
I totally agree, as parents to both, I work hard to raise a lady and a gentleman. They are equally invaluable.

Where were they searching for George’s phone? How long to the keep records of cell phone locations?
I am still hung up on Tracy’s phone. We know she had it at the Taproom at 1:00 AM. We know it pinged near Hataway’s at 8:30 AM. Are you saying when you say “never left the area” that at 4:30 am it pinged off the same towers as at 8:30am? And what was Hataway doing that day after 8:30 am. If he was working, I think the phone was powered off after it rang at 8:30 and then disposed of … possibly on the way to hataway’s work (if he worked that day).
