Orlando, FL– The State Attorney’s Office Has released additional discovery this morning including photos of Casey Anthony’s tattoo and the duct tape found across the mouth of 34 month old Caylee Anthony’s skull.

Because my brother was a “frequent flier” in Orange Cty 33rd street jail, where KC is, and my work with unwed mothers, I have been to the jail many, many times, and read my fair share of police reports. I have always understood that police on to only write the facts, declarations etc. of the case on which they are investigating, and not conjecture/speculate, as that could come back to bite them in court, and their “opinions” are not part of the “evidence”. To read over and over in the report released today from OCSO to FBI with the listing of the evidence being turned over and OCSO specific requests and pertinant information about the evidence, so the FBI knows exactly what to test/look for it shocked me and, once again brought tears to my eyes that the author of the report repeated several times that the he points out that the words “package” and “in” were found at the crime scene, and that they believe from a picture of Caylee that she was wearing a shirt that said “Big trouble comes in small packages” when she was killed, that he states that she was put in that shirt intentionally because of what it says, in otherwords, because KC/the killer felt like Caylee was a SMALL PACKAGE that caused BIG TROUBLE. What can I say??????? There was obviously working knowledge here, not just an added opinion by the person who wrote the report. I’m in tears again for that child, and for the continued abuse she suffers for the indignity of her death and the lack of care for her soul from the family. I had 3 boys and would have done anything for a daughter, but it just wasn’t in the cards for me, to see this precious gift being lost in all the Anthony subterfuge, I can only hope that KARMA serves them up all they deserve
Seeing Caylee’s baby hair on the duct tape made me yelp out loud in horror! If this doesn’t paint a vivid picture of what that sweet baby girl went through, nothing will. I pray to the Lord she didn’t suffer. It’s so unbearable.
I wonder if after the night of the row with Cindy on the 15th , she took Caylee away and they spent the night in the car, probably Caylee may have cried herself to sleep while Casey was texting Tony ? The next day after George had gone to work ? , she came home but wanted to chat on her computer or whatever and still angry about the night before, and wanting do do whatever undisturbed , she placed the duck tape over Caylee and left her in her playhouse in the yard out the way and Caylee maybe suffocated ?? Whatever happened ,seeing the duct tape and the evidence released today tears your heart out !
I didn’t notice the impressions at first either. Once you see it, it is hard to get out of your head. The image makes me sick to my stomach, makes it hard to breath, and instant tears well up in my eyes. Trying to keep myself busy so I don’t think about pic but it just keeps popping back up in my head and I feel so sorry and so sad for Caylee. She sure has a LOT of people that care about her and love her.. you can open your heart to people you don’t even know and feel love if you allow yourself to. It is amazing and all of you are such special people!
Pieces of black plastic was retrieved from the crime site. The doc indicates the lab is processing/processed for latent prints. This is very encouraging! Bit by bit, the pieces are falling into place.

Just wondering!! Blink can you tell me when she got that tattoo? Was it after Caylee went missing? Someone stated it meant “Life is Good”. If she got that after Caylee went missing, doesn’t that just speak volumes to the jury? I mean, if that pic was brought to my attention, that would be it for me. That would say it all.

This piece has ragged left and right edges consistent with being torn, either with human teeth or a tool such as a dinner knife. The pattern of the ragged edges are too uniform to be done by animals.
If it was animal activity I would expect to see some kind of indication of that to the top and bottom edges as well.
Not to be gruesome but there would be other supporting activity within the location of the tape that would confirm animal activity, there is none

Just to add, the patterning of the ragged edges also suggest this piece
of tape was torn with single, swift motions.
Ragdoll, I think you might be seeing fibers on the duct tape, not hair (though maybe there is some hair, too).
I personally think (based on nothing but how it struck me when I read it) that the theory that the child was DELIBERATELY put into that shirt for murdering purposes is a stretch. Interesting theory, and possible, sure, but I dunno—feels untrue to me. (not that it matters how i feel, of course…lol)

Blink I know there is one more piece of Henkel duct tape from the scene that I haven’t seen any test results from, Q100. It is listed on pages 3743 and 3744.
What is also odd to me is there is a varied rectangular shaded area on one the samples that looks like a skinny piece of tape or something was on top of it. That said, my eyes are pretty shot from the last few hours.

I’m concerned that people might be seeing the degraded fibers of the tape as hair from Caylee still attached. I’m fairly certain that any hair would have been photo’d removed and tested. I don’t see anything that could be human hair??? Am I missing something?
Why does it say elimination of George, Cindy and Lee and not Casey and why would they have to eliminate anyone if there were no prints of anykind in the first place. What did I miss?

Pamela – I think you are right. If you look at what appears to be hair there is a honeycombed pattern in it that matches other parts of the tape that have worn down and reveal that same pattern.

I think it is telling there are no prints on the shovel since we know she borrowed it and I am sure Brian Brunner said it had’t been used since she borrowed it.

I don’t see human hair on the tape images either Pamela. Just the eroded fibers from the tape itself.

That rectangular “greenish” strip shaded area has edges that are very crisp and well defined.
From the WFTV image 11/18 you can see the strip shape extend past the right end of the tape onto another surface. Pic 15 shows the rectangular strip level with the FBI darker gray background while the duct tape, adhesive side up, is placed somewhat askew, tilting down to the left.
IMO the green strip marking is part of a clear FBI plastic bag, in which the tape is contained in for this set of FBI photographic imaging.
The green area could be used for marking or labeling (like our home use ziplocks.)
On the Orlando Sentinal site – look at pics 8 & 9 – different black & white images of the tape not in the evidence sleeves . . . this may already be posted here so sorry if this is redundant. Its moving fast today and its hard to keep up!

Todd, personally, I don’t think it looks good for Casey. No one can accurately predict how it will turn out. I don’t believe anyone else wanted to bring harm to Caylee. A child’s mother has the natural instincts to protect her babies. Casey has demonstrated over and over that she lacks those basic instincts. Partying after her daughter is ‘supposedly’ missing. A ‘bella vita’ tatoo. I can’t even entertain the idea of what it would feel like if my children were missing. I cannot imagine going on without them.
PS.If anything is junk sciene, imo, it’s the ‘ugly coping’ angle.

I know, Blink…I couldn’t bring myself to type that. This is just getting more difficult and disturbing with more detailed information coming out. When I think of what was taken from the garage, in particular, the various spray chemicals…ODG.
Blink, has any print forensics been discussed at all on the heart sticker itself? It’s one of those 3-D “vinyl” kinds, isn’t it?
Well Q100 and Q104 appear to have been processed for latents, but I am not seeing that result as of yet.

#74 SUSANM– interesting theory. I saw “Party Monster” and was just reading over at scared monkeys. Entirely possible Casey forced Caylee ingest something and duct tape her mouth shut (just typing that made me ill). Caylee could have easily been poisoned or choked on her own vomit. God Bless her poor soul.
Please tell me there is more to come…there has to be dp evidence yet. There just has to be.
could casey have been whering gloves.? possible. I think the state will present a good case. i think casey deserves her day in court and a trial and a jury of 12 reasonable impartial jurors. We shall see if resonable doubt can be raised. IMO the defense has a tough row to hoe. We shall see what 12 able minded people decide as to whether caylee died at the hands of another. this poor child is dead and that is a fact.

My eyes could be trying too hard, as I know it has been stated that there is no photo of the heart shaped residue (which blows me away as there are obviously many pics of the duct tape), but in this WFTV image #11 = I am seeing a heart shaped discoloration. It is near the ink pen writing, close to the far right edge of the tape and below the discussed greenish rectangular shape. What catches my attention is the V shaped angle of the end of the heart shape. Am I just on a fishing expedition or plain crazy?
I CAN IMAGINE HOW HORRIFIED CASEY AND HER FAMILY ARE AT THAT PICTURE OF HER BEING RELEASED. HER FRIENDS AND THE WORLD ARE ALSO SEEING THE CHANGE IN HER APPEARANCE … HOW EMBARASSING WHAT WOULD CAUSE THOSE SORES BLINK?

There is some irony in what I have read so far. The duct tape was reported as having no fingerprints by the same person, Fontaine, who was so incompetent (according to Brad & Co.) as to remove the heart shape sticker residue.
AND a hair that was in the trunk but did not show decomposition was “amid” a substance called grave wax.

However, Q12 DID show decomp. ALso, a heart sticker itself is affixed to Q100, another piece of duct tape?

Okay Blink. I am begining to WORRY. Psging through all of these documents there does not appear to be anything that is good solid hard evidence. No fingerprints, no hair with decomposition, trash bags are not the same, am I missing something? IF this woman gets away with the murder of that beautiful child, nothing will be right in the world again.

So, Blink, what’s the possibility that they carefully worded the thing about eliminating latent prints from geo, cin, and lee in order to put a little fear into casey to try to force a confession?

Pamela and Tink Tink, Casey’s skin condition is probably the result of her jail diet (in addition to stress). I imagine they give you yucky things to eat that aren’t the healthiest balance.
It certainly appears as if the best case is the circumstancial case. After looking through most of the pages released today, all I keep seeing is ‘insufficient amount, no conclusions can be drawn,’ etc. I think this is the most discouraging day in this case in a long time. After submitting mountains of physical evidence to the FBI, most of it is coming back empty of any evidentiary value. I may go back and finish looking at the docs later; right now I’m too depressed.
