Charlottesville, VA–The disappearance of Morgan Harrington, missing since October 17, 2009 is exhibiting the potential to reach a temperature that is currenlty encompassing the Northeast: VERY COLD.
Through the thousands of posts at blinkoncrime.com and numerous articles covering Morgan, it is clear that frustration in the lack of lead generation and ambiguous statements from the Virginia State Police are causing some to lack conviction Morgan will be found.
In a recent press conference by VSP, LE provided NO NEW information or progress regarding Morgan’s case. In a shift of posture by the Harrington family, Dr. Harrington has begun participating in online chat and sponsored an additional facebook site to help the efforts to find his daughter.
In fact, for the first time in 2.5 months, we know what kind of camera Morgan had with her the evening of the Metallica concert from his research.
In contrast, we have viewed footage and photos of her dear friends that have clearly moved on without the knowledge of their friends plight.
Girls will be girls you say? Before one person comes on here to tell me I am being too critical of these young women you should know that due to a fortunate Facebook update, describing these girls as Morgan’s friends is entirely generous.
Furthermore, if you happen to be one of the parents that has provided booze for underage minors captured on digital for all to see you may wish to take a peek at what is on your daughter’s social sites.
Have you thought about what it would be like to be Gil or Dan while your linin’ it up and throwin’ em back WITH your kids?
Fortunately, this is not the focus today. I do not feel Morgan’s friends did anything to directly cause her fate. They are more “ME” than frienemy, that is evident.
Gil Harrington, posting on the families site findmorgan.com, wrote one of the most eloquent and courageous posts from the Mother of a missing child I have ever read.
The snowfall is beautiful but still disturbing – melancholy. Wonder if Morgan is cold – is snow falling on her face – or is her face covered by leaves in a shallow grave being hidden by the snow. I glance out the window and see the crimson blaze of a cardinal at the bird feeder – my heart leaps for a second at the beauty – then I think its feathers look like blood in the snow. Is that what Morgan’s blood looks like in the snow? See how the pitfalls are everywhere – even at the bird feeder.
In a somewhat angst-ridden moment, a poster on blinkoncrime.com suggested any and all witnesses in this case should be subject to repeated Barry Manilow songs until they confess.
It jogged a memory for me that reminded me that I am proudly my Father’s daughter. Morgan is Dan Harrington’s daughter.
Maybe someone, somewhere, has just not approached that perspective.

Barry holds a special place in the heart of my family. When I was a kid I used to play dress up with my Mom’s clothes. If a pair of her way-too-big-for-me heels was “done”, she would let me cut off the ankle straps and dance around in them as slides.
One afternoon, when I should have been doing my homework, I was blaring Copa Cabana in my Parents study dressed like a thriftshop showgirl and when ” Who could ask for more…at the Copa” part came on, I kicked like a 12 year old Rockette and launched my “slide/RPG” into the ceiling.
There it stayed.
I threw everything I could find at that shoe to dislodge it. Nothing.
Except for the new marks on the scalloped ceiling.
Later, when unbeknownst to me, my Dad was reading his 12 daily newspapers in the study, I thought I might try another idea.
I jumped as hard as I could at the spot upstairs above where the slutslipper was lodged.
It worked on the 3rd try.
How do I know?
I heard a “S o n o f a …..” , then something that sounded like a combination of my first and middle names with a swear word interjected that was rising in tone and volume, and now coming my way.
As I hit the hallway to head to the other direction or squeeze myself unnaturally under something, there He was
My Dad, evidence in hand, smiling wryly form ear to ear.
“Yours I presume, young lady,” his forearm outstretched gently with the nail to my coffin in his palm.
I responded .. “What makes you say that?
Could be ketchup or mustards..”
(Lame editors note: do NOT ask, my sisters and I had bathing suits that matched when we were little that were red, yellow and white, respectively, it stuck to this day, I was Mayo)
He replied .. ” Because I know, this weekend, when you fish out your overalls and help me fix the ceiling before your Mother notices, you would rather do that than whatever she comes up with so we can be all done here. The End. ( Blink dad making the wipe hands clean gesture)
She has been talking about repainting the Family room for months, I would LOVE some help with that…”
“Yes Sir.” I muttered with a matching grimace.
“Can I have it back?” I asked.
“I would say your dancing days are on hold, dear daughter, for the foreseeable future, as are your TV privliges.”
“Anything else? ” I asked.
“Why yes, there is. If you choose to dance through the house with wreckless abandon, next time, do it when your homework is finished and in your tennis shoes. And can you please try to be more like your Mother and less like me?”
“Doubtfull Deets, doubtful.”
With that carefully measured tween rhetort I skipped down the hall, crisis averted and I am still Dad’s fave.
I can live with the painting. Wonder if I can pick the color??
I chose to share this very personal exchange with my Daddy because it dawned on me that maybe someone that reads this does not understand what Morgan’ s Father (and family, but this reference is strictly male) needs from them.
He was her protector. He is her ceiling fixer.
You have to give him back what you took so he can fix it for her and their family.
He does not care who you are or what you may have done.
You can do this for them now. Have faith that anything can be fixed. Anything.

If this is indeed what happened to Morgan, Fletch you so hit it, Morgan is not a bad person, she was just a very fragile and a vunerable sweet child.

I remain doubtful that her closer friends or those attending the concert with her had anything directly to do with this, but if this type of drug is involved, Morgan would certainly have a wider circle of acquaintances that would be sketchy to say the least.
And none of this makes Morgan a bad person, if true. Just a vulnerable one. This could happen in any family.

I find your post about your friends thoughts very interesting. She mentioned a young man with a olive complexion. In no way am I suggesting anything. Just wonder who the young man in the photo sitting next to Morgan is.

It was listed recently on one of SGM’s sites (FB or MS) that he is presently 24 years old. He apparently is a lot older than 24 b/c these charges in 1999 would have not applied to a 14 year old boy. You, SGM, are misrepresenting yourself to little girls.

at 10.26.2009 11:30PM I am about 95% positive i saw this girl between 8:30 and 8:45. I was waiting with a friend by the entrance to the arena (im not sure if more than one entrance was open, we were right by the parking garage) when this girl tried to go into the show. It appeared that she didn’t have a ticket. When the people working the venue searched her pocket book they pulled a bottle of prescription pills and a flask. The people gave her the pills back but kept the flask. If any of her friends know if she had a flask and pills, i think it would confirm that this was her, and at least the timeline is a little better. I also remember she was wearing black gloves, or wrist wraps of some sort. I reported this to the Charlottesville police and told them this, but they didnt seem very interested.

Suz, I agree with you, most people do not cover up when someone dies. I am not definitively stating that’s what happened. I am reviewing some thoughts of OYE’s. FWIW I think another important point is OYE also said that Morgan in a disoriented state could have wandered off from the party and perished somewhere unknown to the other party goers.
Localcvillegirl, Thanks for giving me the insiders thoughts. You wrote that you wished you would have thought of it as a place to party. I agree with you. Far enough away that the cops won’t be on your doorstep, close enough that it isn’t a big hassle to make it there and cheap enough that you can make it happen.
Chad, I agree with you I hope LE checks out this area during there searches too. As Acho said it couldn’t hurt for them to check out any reservations for that weekend. Although, I don’t know how easy it would be to sneak in, they might not have registered……

took a little break adn glad to find things have settled down, especially regarding Shannon —
Shannon, I ran my own business for about 20 years, and I can tell you, dude, it’s a pain in the drain !!! You have to do all these projected taxes, for you you’d have to ensure you have proper contractor license insurance and that your employees are cov’d under workers comp insurance. It’s a lot overwhelming, especially for someone who just lost his father to step up into that role.
But good news — I availed myself of this opportunity, and it really helps, so don’t be afraid to make that phone call — the small business administration can assist you w/ classes and even a mentor to help you get the business up to par and assist w/ all the mountains of paperwork and tax filings. the best advice is if your business is profitable to hire an experienced office manager — w/ jobs in such short supply these days, I bet you could find one w/ a lot of years’ of experience.
As far as your personal experience, in the past you’ve had some run-ins w/ the po po — I worked in the legal industry for more than 20 years — and I can tell you absolutely I’ve seen people commit worse crimes than possession or motor vehicle convictions turn their lives absolutely around.
And this is a difficult one for a lot of people, especially in your family to understand, but the paving company was your father’s business — your father has gone on to Glory — if you don’t want to be in the paving business and want to pursue your DJ career — sell the business, or turn it over to another relative to run while you pursue your career choice.
As a parent, one of the hardest things was for me to drop my expectations of career choice for my son and allow him to pursue the career of HIS choice — he wants to open a diner w/ his best friend — I know how much work slinging hash can be — in his high school years he had wanted to be an anthropologist, and when he told me about the diner career, let’s just say it wasn’t pretty — but then we came to a compromise, which is working out for both of us. He is going to start school in the fall to go into the medical field, which will give him income, he’s also going to pursue his BA degree so he’ll know how to run his diner business, and then he’s going to go to culinary school at night.
Your family and friends may think you’re crazy for not pursuing a business that was handed to you at your father’s death — but from where he is, I know he will support you in the career path of your choice.
Just some food for thought —
Now, I am going to give you some advice for you to take to heart — and tell all of your friends who may want to post on your behalf — you will never win in a debate w/ J2K — that girl is just too clever and smart — I say that w/ a lot of kindness — but believe me, if she offers you “cheese” which she has done — take her up on it — that means she’ll play nice if you will : )
She gave you great advice about deleting the underaged friends on FB, which is really good advice, as well —
Now, I’m asking a favor from you — please, even if you’re not in Morgan’s circle of friends — you are in w/ the body builders who are in w/ fans of Electric Camelian, I think is the band’s name.
Ask some of the hard questions in that group — somebody knows what went down w/ Morgan — then call the tip line w/ what you hear — or reveal it here — I can assure you — once you are a friend of this site, it’s an awesome friendship, even if we don’t know each other’s names or faces —
As to Miss Open Your Eyes — you-all can bump me to the back of the bus on this one — and I understand fully why everyone has posted as they have — but if she knows something — OYE call the tip line — it really is anonymous — and tell them it is a serious tip and waht you know — none of the circle will ever know it was you — even if you didn’t like Morgan — she didn’t deserve whatever may have happened to her — and her parents, brother and extended family and friends certainly do not deserve the hell they’ve gone thru not knowing. If Morgan OD’d it may have been because she chose to drink that night — but her parents are paying an awful price for her decision. My cat went missing after I moved in my new house in Oct. I miss her every day and look for her every day and call her every day — even in all that snow — more than likely she is dead — we had a bear on the loose, and I think the bear ate my cat : (
If I miss my cat this much, I can’t believe to imagine how Morgan’s mother and poppa are missing her. Even if that bear did eat my cat, if I could find a portion of her remains, I could bury her in peace — Morgan’s parents want that same peace —
please, please tell what you know. Put aside any anger you may hold toward Morgan — look to your own family — think of the hell they would go thru if this had happened to you —

I don’t think SGM confirmed that was him in the photo with Morgan. He was referring to the smaller profile pic lower on the same page that was used for comparison. I think he was saying that he made the “handsome” comment about the smaller profile pic.

I still cant believe that I am what my therapist calls “an addict” – like I said, I am about as normal, and even shallow (ha!), as they come. Im also an over-achiever, and dont show one physical sign of drug abuse.
I still crave the high. I think I said it one of my earlier posts, if a painkiller had been involved, I absolutley would have left the arena to get it. Sometimes its not so much about the drug, as the exhiliration of the SCORE!
Blink – I didnt want to take away from Morgans case by reflecting on my own personal journey back to health. Nor do I want to toot my own horn, as I still have slip ups, and still manage my addictions every day. I am proud of how far I have come, and also consistently astonished that I did not kill myself or others while under the influence.
Again, I strongly believe this should not be factored out of her case, and it does make a lot of sense.

I was thinking about something as I was falling asleep last night. This is in reference to Skyler’s friend’s theory. Maybe I watch too much of the show “Weeds” but, at any rate…
If Skyler’s friend’s theory is in the ball park, would that make sense as to why the FBI became involved? Is the DEA a faction of the FBI, or its entirely own entity?
If this is drug related, would the DEA be hovering and taking a look at all the small time drug dealers in the charlottesville area, based on whatever information the VSP have that has not been made public?
Has anyone seen that show? Who knows, maybe it’s embellished for entertainment purposes, but what I gathered from the episode that I am remembering is that the DEA is aware of the small, local drug dealers, but they maybe aren’t worth the DEA’s time at the moment. They just monitor their activity and have them localized on a map, or they are waiting for them to screw up big time, or they are building a case against them. I’m not sure really.
I’m not sure if I’m articulating what I mean. If the DEA & FBI operate together, then maybe there was a reason it was announced the FBI was helping out. Oh, now I feel like this is too out there and why do ideas always sound better in your head and late at night!

Thanks for so candidly sharing your story. The possibility MH may have been (even sporadically) into heavier drugs was a notion that struck me and several others about a month ago, and a quick scan of Va. news archives from 2009 revealed that the Roanoke area (and other previously uneffected parts of Virginia) are dealing with an unprecedented rise in heroin/opiate use among young people (i.e. MH’s age). Here are several comments I wrote about the theory at the time (they still apply), with a spotlight on a particularly detailed article about the burgeoning epidemic in her area:

I heard some interesting things this weekend about Morgan from what I feel is a reliable source I know who works around the VA Tech area, and also know people who know Morgan directly.
*rumors/hearsay here*
The basic gist is that a lot of people (my note – not necessarily the girls she was with, or I’m guessing not friends her parents could ’see’ on FB/Myspace) Morgan hung around were known as heroin (my note – specifically heroin) addicts. The other thing was that Morgan had gained a reputation as a bit of a ‘man stealer.’
… the drug question has been avoided and/or carefully answered previously. From what I gathered from this person, this information is well known around there but is being excluded by the media. I don’t know if they mean exclusion out of respect, out of a request from family, or out of seeking to keep Morgan’s personality flawless so people don’t lose interest in her. When drugs are mentioned in these cases, most people tune out…even though nobody deserves being kidnapped or attacked or killed (NOBODY).
Please don’t be angry at me for posting this, I just wanted to share it because I found it to be different from what we are seeing reported and therefore interesting.”

As someone who was shocked and very saddened by what I saw happen to a small crew of very popular, fairly intelligent, attractive high-school friends I knew, who got into heroin (not shooting but snorting) in early college, and as someone who distantly bore witness to the tragic outcomes of this sporadic abuse of such a cheap, incredibly addictive, tolerance-deadly and surprisingly widespread drug, I can say that it is not beyond the pale for a seemingly well-adjusted young woman like MH to easily make a mistake of extreme significance that cost her her life (or, in the case of my memories, *his* life, and soon after, those of several others).
Regardless, anyone who inadvertently facilitated MH’s demise through this pathway should still, in the words of GH, “Be the hero.”

In regard to the possibility MH started using again (if she ever used in the first place), a few points:
Heroin is inexpensive, powerful, and easily available near college campuses. If someone had a problem with it for a time, and this person got help/”cleaned up,” if he or she started using again spontaneously (or, “just for tonight”), there would be no way to gauge his or her lower tolerance after a period of not using. That’s where it can be incredibly dangerous. Seen it happen. A person – in the spirit of partying – does one fraction of a bump too much and it can cause a potentially fatal overdose. Not pretty.
One thought I’ve toyed with is that perhaps MH and her group got ectasy for the show (not entirely uncommon for college kids), and it piqued her dormant craving for opiates. I sincerely believe she didn’t leave the concert looking for drugs; but if she was escorted out of the venue and found herself on the outside alone, intoxicated, upset, she may have known who to call. If LE saw in her text messages that she was attempting to meet up with someone for drug-related purposes or was looking to score, it may explain why statements to the media continue to claim “we don’t know if a crime has been committed.”
For those who think this is a dramatic/unrealistic direction for this case to go, I submit that you’re deluding yourself. It’s entirely posssible, and would address some of the more curious aspects of this atypical MP case. Of course, it may very well NOT be the case. But rumors like that don’t just spring up out of the blue… there is usually some basis for their existence – even if MH is simply guilty by association. And, in that scenario, her “associates” could definitely supply it and encourage its use.
Lastly, it appears the Roanoke region has a burgeouning problem in regard to heroin use among its you. To wit:

The above account implies that they search your purse BEFORE you hand them a ticket. It would be interesting to find out if that is actually true — that security checks are before the ticket turnstiles.
Apparently the search was cancelled because there is still too much snow on the ground, especially in the wooded areas.

I don’t know what to say re: Misty Mtn, folks. Really I only mentioned it because of its proximity to Midway/Crozet and a place that has appeared in my nightmares (the Greenwood Motel/Motor Lodge/whatever it’s called). I guess it’s worth a closer look, and like I said, if the owners keep records, easy enough to turn them over to LE, or at least say whether they are popular with college kids. I wonder how much the owners have heard about Morgan.
Momof3, do you really think *that* (ie camping discussion) triggered OYE to chime in, or maybe just the handy Zeppelin lyrics? FWIW, I believe it was LocalCvilleGirl who confirmed yesterday that the music festival actually took place before Morgan’s disappearance. I am not sure where I read that it was happening the weekend after, but I thought it was in a legit newspaper; apologies for being off on the dates.
Re:Mosaic 769-All events I have been to, there are security people who look into carried bags and ask you to open your coat or they check coats if being carried. I’ve even seen them do light pat-downs. The degree of security check seems to depend on the event. Ticket scanners are positioned just after going through this layer of security. Also, it seems to depend on the event whether or not tickets have to be shown to the security/ushers positioned at the entrances to each numbered section.

I recently asked a 20yo, recovering addict about his ‘drug of choice.’ “Heroin. By far,” he said. Cheap, easy to get, works fast, etc. Addicts know ‘drug of choice’ is the supreme danger signal for them. Slip-ups, lapses, do happen, but if someone is in recovery (with sponsor, et al) and working at their issues, it’s less likely to happen, from what I’ve observed.
By the way, Observer, I know your time is limited, but I’m wondering if you would weigh in (okay, bad word choice after the holidays) on the prevalence of drug use among this constituency and whether or not drugs may have been involved in MH’s disappearance?

This is the incident you are referring to right? I guess it’s possible and if true tells us where and when the car was parked and where she first went after being picked up on the bridge ( I firmly believe she was picked up on the bridge by someone).
It seems the report was made at 9:30 but the caller must have reported the purse was taken between 5:38 pm to 5:55 pm. The time is pretty specific so it would have had to have been reported by the caller. Morgan had her purse going in the arena and there have been reports of her dropping it once outside.
The only way I see this happening is, if she had whoever picked her up drive her to her car, parked at the park, and then she realized she didn’t have her purse and was so out of it she didn’t know what happened to it. Or, as I think Blink mentioned, couldn’t get in her car so she had someone call thinking that UVA police would help her get in the car. She had to have had a ride there because is a 15 minute walk or so. The timing would be right, if she was picked up at 9:20 it would only have taken someone driving maybe 5 minutes to get over to the park. The park is not easy to find for someone not familiar with the area so if she was as impaired as reported the driver would have to really know how to get there. How did she make the call? Someone’s phone or an emergency phone? And then she left before police responded with the person that drove her there or someone new. It seems a little farfetched but possible.

It’s true, every time I’ve been to the arena they do the purse/coat searches first and then you hand them your ticket. That’s why when I read the account of anonymous I wasn’t surprised. I’ve even done it myself, walked up to the door, they searched my purse and then I realized my friend had my ticket and I had to wait for her.
I’ve always wondered if Morgan went outside to get something/ meet someone and she was counting on her good looks and charm to get back inside. Maybe she had done it before and it worked.
The thought of her parents still not knowing breaks my heart.

I remember reading the above-referenced “anonymous” post from 10/26/09 and it stuck out to me as sounding legitimate, and fitting the timeline…
My question would be, if she was already O-U-T (which, she would have been at that point), and the ticket scanner/security was blocking her re-entry, why would they take her (a private citizen’s) flask? It sounds like whomever the witness saw attempting to enter, she was trying to get in for the first time – perhaps she had no ticket because she needed to get to will-call (or whatever the modern-day equivalent is).
Also, one would think that the noted gloves/wrist wraps would have been a detail released by LE/the Harringtons (especially in light of the Dee confusion), and the person recounting the sight appears to have seen her bag, which may not have matched the description LE was working with.
Further, I’ll submit that the would-be witness did not arouse interest with his/her potential sighting because investigators had already questioned the security members who had denied MH re-admittance (or asked her to leave in the first place). Thus, when reported, this account was immediately discredited because it did not fit what was already known about the circumstances following her departure from the venue.

I think the black “wraps” are actually the black rubber bracelets I have seen her wear occasionally.
I have never seen confirmation Morgan was escorted out or asked to leave the venue. Was I watching quality football and missed it? Could be. ( Blink lobs thinking goblet in jest over the border).

Update from the Harringtons’ press conference today…
Thank you MsL for confirming that security checks are just before the ticket scanners at JPJ. It makes me think that if this girl (the one that had a flask taken away and then was denied re-entry) was indeed Morgan, the flask somehow made it past security the *first* time she went through the check point. Or she got the flask from outside when she left the arena after her bathroom visit.
It’s a mute point either way, because flask or no flask, she was not able to re-enter the arena.
In regard to heroin use, does it cause weight loss and paleness? Also, I can’t remember who posted about Gojira being a goth band (Momof3?) Forgive me for not going back. Anyway, I have felt that Morgan may have had a modified goth look going on with the pale skin, heavy eye makeup and fondness for black clothing, ala Abby on NCIS, but not as in-your-face. FWIW.
In my neck of the woods the cheap dangerous high is either meth or crack. An aquaintance of mine managed to go back to school and get her bachelor’s while addicted to crack. She got very, very skinny. We can spot meth users by their yucky skin and lack of teeth.
My biggest question right now is why no one is talking. NO ONE. The friends, the basketball players, the police, the university. You would think that by this time there would be some leak of information from one of those camps, but nada. WHY? The 2nd biggest question I have is why no pictures from that night. I truly believe they do have video and pictures taken by the others, but not releasing them. WHY?

Acho, your favorite motel was the among the first places in Crozet to have it’s drive and parking lot fully cleared after the snow. One car out there, only and always. It’s like the Shining.
And I don’t know about the Misty Mt. campground either as far as a place to party, but if your willing to wrap your big body in little bits of toilet paper before you go out, then this RV resort just might be the spot. When I think of “camping” I thinking of the mountains, and maybe Loft Mountain campground nearby. But maybe these guys have a good thing going on with these “resort” campgrounds. Some little old couple running the place, driving around in their golf cart…hard to beat that adult supervision. OYE, am I right?
I still put my cheese in a “new” friend’s cart, met earlier at another music festival, concert, or band party. I want her older friends to be digging deep to come up with anything, or anyone, they may suspect. It won’t be tattletailing, it will be helping their old friend Morgan.

I’ve been nosying around FB today, and I’m a little shocked at how many people associated with LE (directly and indirectly) have been mentioned at one time or another in this case. It’s common knowledge SS’s dad is a cop, and he is friends with a Jd Wells (Shannon’s cuz the DEA agent he mentioned jt Wells?), MW Wells, also a cop, and SGM. MW Wells owns a horse farm off of RT 64 with his wife, an ex-cop.
Who responded to the stolen purse report? Would it have been campus security or actual LE?
There’s an awful lot of questions that remain unanswered, too little info coming out after this amount of time, no loose lips among the friends. WTF is going on here?
One thing I haven’t seen mentioned anywhere, and it’s WAYYY out there in the realm of possibilities, but could Morgan have witnessed/found out something that could incriminate the wrong person/people?
Mosaic-The bag check, from what I have experienced, isn’t very thorough, usually just a glance at the contents. Now, I’m not someone who carries the kitchen sink in my bag, so maybe that’s the reason I’ve always been waved on through. They could put more effort into a bag that has a lot of contents.
I’ll go one step farther (and repeat what’s probably been said before) and say that Morgan’s “new” friend was present when she either OD’d or blacked out, and since he really only knew her from parties, or even just the internet at this point, he had no idea which way to go when she managed to say “please just get me back to Harrisonburg”. He may have come into town from the North or South, or even flown into the Richmond airport and driven over. Why does LE say that he’s from this area? Is this just a guess?
(my 5:25pm post continued): if this really was the first time Morgan and this guy met, or if they had only known eachother from another out-of-town festival, he may not have known how to reach her friends at the concert, or even who they were. Could have picked her up in a rental car which might then have been returned to CHO or RIC airports…or driven back home in his own car. Leaving her somewhere easy to pull out of the car, but hard to spot from the road.

Did she leave the concert to get the flask. She gets the flask and then tries to get in. This time even if she had a ticket, ie new or one not used she already had, there is a flask in her purse and she can not get in because of that, not because of no ticket. Didn’t Mr. H. buy 5 tickets? Maybe while she was getting the flask outside someone slipped her something. The time frame for her to react to say GHB would be less because she would not have been introduced to the drug until outside. Just something else to think about.

dont you think that those in Morgan’s car know more that they are saying? if they do, how can they keep so quiet about who they believe was involved? i have to go back to that car ride. would you just let your friend who is locked out of arena just “trip” on her own? isn’t there some sort of friendship code? maybe someone should ask one of them at one of their parties when the cans of “Monster and Vodka”, come out. maybe they too, would be a little more forthcoming. before you rip into me OYE..they do not owe it to me but maybe to their friend who by your own post, states she did the same thing that they do but just was unlucky, i guess. sorry, i do not know how to word that. help J2K!
one more thought, before i go. is the DEA involved? never heard that but if they are, could it be due to a supply of prescription drugs coming from someone who had access to a license, ie. pharamacist or pharm.tech or someone who had access to a script pad? maybe this “cut” with heroin made a really bad batch of it that night! this is just a thought. watching to much “mark mcquire” and his explaination of it “wasn’t the strong steroid just a low dose one”. in blink’s one word…HEH????
Skyler, somehow I missed your post (676) until just now. Thank you for giving the full details of your friend’s ideas. Chilling. My mom has a friend who, I think, has a similar gift (though not w/ your friend’s seeming frequency and accuracy), so I don’t always discount these visions. The only part that I hope is correct, however, is that someone is about to crack.
I wish I was in better touch with people in C’ville who still go out all the time and might help with knowing whether there is a couple that fits this description. Does your friend think they’re college age? Or in their 30s?

Hey, acho, in response to your question — I absolutely understand Blink’s take on psychics — I may be a little bit more liberal in that if someone has a sign in a storefront that says: Palm reading, $5 and you pay the $5, I think you get what you pay for ! I absolutely agree w/ her on psychics who approach, torment, etc. these families of the missing — or one who says; pay me $600 as a down payment and I’ll see what I get —
My friend is not like that at all — but I wanted to give full disclosure as to where the info was coming from so each person could make their own decision — she might be absolutely wrong, but I dunno ….
anyway, she thinks they’re older than college age — 18-24-ish — but not 30 — or at least doesn’t look in the 30′s — she didn’t give me a description of the female, but said absolutely there was a “couple” involved —
C-ville is so rural and so there could be hundreds of old farm houses in the periphery of the city proper — one thing she was clear about is that “some” of Morgan’s ‘closest” friends were not aware of her connection to this guy, and/or her alleged drug use. but people at VT are aware of this person — as well as students at UVA —

Whoa, things have really heated up in the last couple of days. Sorry if I have missed the answers to the following 2 questions, but I think they have been discussed without any resolution yet. Anyway, these are the questions–
In reference to the report of a stolen purse at 9:30 pm that evening, where is “The Park” that is listed on the report? Does this refer to the parking lots near JPJ, or possibly to the parking lot at the Emmett/Ivy intersection? Or a city park somewhere?
And as a follow-up question, do we know yet which lot/garage Morgan’s car was parked in?

Wow Skyler I just read #676…sometimes things don’t go to my feed, or appear up-thread and I miss them. If I had an age range I might be able to start asking questions. I don’t know who is supplying students these days…they have lots of money to spend and have supported drug dealers for years. (I’m sure this is not unique to UVa, and happens at JMU, VT, Hollins, Radford, everywhere.) There were always people who showed up at parties with the harder drugs; the X and cocaine came from out of town. I knew guys back in the 80s who would drive down to Chapel Hill and bring back a huge supply of X. Now a couple living in a farmhouse on the outskirts of town is highly probable…it would just be which couple. Albemarle County is really expensive to own and rent, so I know of people who have gone down into Nelson, or to Fluvanna or Louisa Counties. All can be within 15 minutes of town. Augusta County is where Waynesboro is, and that’s 15 minutes from Crozet, and 30 minutes from Charlottesville.
I’m so far out of the partying loop, but I’ll really try to think on this. There are people here still doing drugs who have even put their own kids through college. Can’t call it quits. Lemme think.
