Morgan Harrington Murder: Rumors Of A Suspects Arrest
Charlottesville, VA– This afternoon, originating on a VT
..There has been no arrest. It is an unfounded rumor and I have no idea how or where it started. I can only assume it stemmed from the fact that we completed our investigation of the crime scene at Anchorage Farm early this afternoon, I guess I will probably have to put out an email this afternoon..”
– Corrine Geller, PR Manager for VSP to Blink
As exclusively reported yesterday on blinkoncrime.com, it is expected that the and VSP upcoming conversations with those on the list with permission to hunt on Anchorage Farm, will propel the investigation into the murder of Morgan Harrington quickly.
However, Virginia State Police are not discussing whether or not they have a person of interest or suspect in this case.
There is however, unreleased new information and new evidence gleaned from the crime scene. VSP will not disclose what personal effects were found with Morgan’s remains at this time.
The viral arrest rumor was not the only odd occurrance today.
In what appears to be an unrelated coincidence, an explosive device was detinated on the train tracks close to James Madison University this morning. A nearby dorm has been evacuated in connection with materials found at the scene, and a criminal investigation has been launched by the ATF.
JMU is the school several of Morgan’s friends attend, and from where the group departed to attend the Metallica Concert that fateful night of October 17, 2009.
Check back to blinkoncrime.com for updates to this developing story.

I still don’t get the logic in someone calling her on her cell phone ,luring her outside ,where she ended up on Anchorage Farm . He then brings her purse with cell phone all the way back to the Arena area . Handling the purse , the cell phone itself etc plus someone seeing the drop off would give up his identy in several possable ways . After she failed to get back into the arena she was worked on verbally by an opportunistic BG who waited for darkness to set in 9:25 pm . He then quickly and forceably took her under control . The purse never left the area . BTW i agree it sounds like the nice politically correct thing to say they are against sterotyping ,however, the essence of profiling is sterotyping . Lots of the latter day politically correct ideas are very naive and give cover for Bad Guys/Girls and groups to do their dirty deeds .
Alice & S.J. and so many other critics of LE:
I can assure you that every state and community has its fair share of unsolved homicides – each a victim and family without justice and a perpetrator amongst us enjoying the sunrise and posing an unknown and vicious threat to all. Virginia is nothing special in this regard. If you think you are frustrated by this case imagine the law enforcement professionals who have catalogued this woman’s scattered belongings, who ponder her battery-less phone in its evidence bag, who frequently meet eye-to-eye with her devastated family and can’t answer their questions, and now who have handled her hair, her bones, her clothing, the remnants of an unrealized life.
If visiting this site each day is difficult for you imagine going to work each morning and it is YOUR job to solve this puzzle, provide some closure to the family and safety for the residents of your own community. And YOU are tasked with doing it whilst following the intricacies of state and federal codes and voluminous case law such that YOUR error doesn’t cripple the prosecution and result in a known killer turned back out on the street free to act again.
If it is hard for you to go to bed at night without catching up on this blog, imagine how difficult it is to go home at night with this tragic puzzle unsolved, unresolved, and the next victim could disappear tonight because of YOU. That is why homicide detectives age like presidents, live shorter than dentists, and generally retire with one if not a score of failed responsibilities on their watch to reflect on each time they lay down at night.
Give these folks a break, they want an answer even MORE than you do. It hits even closer to home for THEM than you. And they do this work without expecting your appreciation, without earning a salary that affords them condos in Hawaii or nice cars for their kids. It is because they feel keenly the weight of justice that they work ridiculously long hours immersed in the sordid dustbins of humanity trying not just to find the human debris amongst us but to build a case sufficient to rid us of their sharing the fruits of our company. So often they go months without seeing their kids baseball games not to mention visiting their favorite blog while relaxing on the couch. Just like you and me they make mistakes, are misled by hunches, miss details, and wish they could have done it differently. Unlike you and me their answer to “What did you do today” can be “dug through stomach contents” or “searched the landfill” or “confronted a smiling gang leader” or “watched the judge turn that SOB loose”.
Instead of looking for ways in which LE might have fallen short of the mark (most complaints by the way which are either highly speculative or based on a misunderstanding of the rules of law and evidence by which LE must operate) instead try to focus your energy and intellect on how you and I might in some manner assist and buttress the activities of LE, in part because we can operate outside of many of the restrictions on them and we are able to spend time tracking down unusual coincidences or pondering oddities or pointing out possibilities that might have been overlooked. We CAN speculate and muse free of legal responsibility but limited only by social decency whilst protected by annonymity and the Freedom of Speech. What might WE do to contribute instead of criticize? Because to contribute can be so difficult and frustrating but to criticize is neither, and to critique, especially without benefit of expertise, experience and inside knowledge, is so easy to accomplish and so seldom of any value.
Geeze, after all that flag wavin you’d think I’d never been in the drunk tank or stolen car parts.
Not to chase a phantom here Blink but the last two days:
Carpenter sees Jeep leaving Anchorage Farm and driver lies about his identity? Unconfirmed.
Boot may have been found much earlier behind convenience store? Unconfirmed.
And weeks if not months ago was there not a rumored sightinh of the victim in a Jeep at a convenience store? Can somebody find that post way on back there? Is this something or is this another nothing? Anyone?
Here, Here!
Rest unconfirmed.

@ mosaic Yes, the tire tracks would be clearly visible. If – and I don’t believe that is the case – someone drove from Anchorage rd across to the other end of the property, this would be visible, unless he was following older, existing tracks. But all that would be impossible without headlights.
By the way, it would also be visible if someone walked across the hayfield. I think. Not sure about the vegetation in Virginia. Anywhere I have been, grass two or three feet high would show it. Farmers hate it if kids walk across their hayfields…
As the writer of the recent article, let it be clear that my intention was not to offend Blink. My intention is and always has been, to find the perpetrators of this crime against Morgan. These forums have produced a great deal of information that has been helpful to the case and I know they will continue to do so. I want the focus to be on finding Morgan’s killer and with that being said, I have removed the article in it entirety.
Ann-
My sincere thanks. I realize that your sentiment was in the right place without question, I just think it left much open for interpretation.
Like you, my readers and contributors want the same thing and take tremendous pride in it. None of which, are sex offenders or felons. I applaud your decision and support your efforts.

I am just wondering if they ever checked inside the lower house on the Anchorage Farm property, where Mr. Bass’ daughter lives, and if they looked into who was there at that house on Oct. 17th?
Something keeps telling me that Morgan was in that farm house. (Not Mr. Bass’ house, but the other). Someone posted some YouTube videos earlier of a band playing there. Is it a normal “party spot” for young people? I am very, very curious about that house, and there doesn’t seem to be much mention of it at all.
Frank Speaker: Although I am not one to stereotype or judge people by their appearance, I am very curious to know why you mentioned the “clump of hair on his chin”. Were you referring to someone specific when you made that comment? I am assuming so, and wondering what makes you think that?

A couple of responses:
Didn’t want to let one of Mom 3.0′s alert observations pass by with no salute: in what used to be #1085 (Old School!), Mom points out the paragraph in the “safety bulletion” recently issued by UVa, urging students to be careful about taking only official, metered, on-duty cabs. The specificity of that jumped out at me, too, and reminded me of a 3-months-ago discussion on Help Find Morgan– y’all probably had one here, too– about the possibility of a “stranger abduction” in some such “official” or “delivery” vehicle. Besides cabs, I think we cited tow trucks (common around event sites, at least in this town), “limos,” hotel minivans (NOT so common here), pizza and sandwich delivery guys, and potential for “pretend LE” vehicles. It could be objected that on-duty drivers of all but the last might be on tight schedules and unlikely to stop anyway; but someone asked, “How would one know if they were really on-duty, or just cruising around looking like it?” IDK
In answer to Debbie Baxter, who, in a post from 7:36 PM last evening, asked >> “. . .about an official report from the very beginning, about a second stop from JMU in CROZET, where HER car was LEFT and they met up with some guy and left in another car. Do you or anyone else remember that? Or is that old, bad news??”
AAAAGGHHH!! You would ask that of someone already complaining that his brain is being turned to Ramen noodle mush??!
Honestly, I don’t know of an “official” version of how Morgan’s party got to the concert; does anyone else???
We’ve read claims that Morgan called home from Harrisonburg/JMU and others that she called from Crozet (and may not have gone to JMU at all, but met the JMU contingent in Crozet); some say 5 came in her party (some of those saying 5 in 2 cars, not 1), some say 4 (1 car? 2?). And whenever I breathe easier that we’ve finally wiped out the mistaken idea that Morgan’s car wasn’t driven to the concept….like a bad weed, it pops right up again. One time or another, we’ve probably read or heard every variant possibility of how Morgan and her (pick a number of) companions got here, except “Scottie beamed ‘em down.” And that may be next!
In short, Debbie, I don’t know, I don’t know, IDK. Someone else, please save us here– and pardon my frustration, Debbie; it’s not aimed at you; I sense you have interest and value to add to our community of thought.
If someone AUTHORITATIVE could compile a list of BASIC “known facts” in this case, and post that WHERE ALL COULD SEE, it would be a HUUUUGE favor; otherwise we go on chasing our tails and rehashing and shoring up and wasting so many minutes and little gray cells. . .
“The devil is in the details”– and misinformation & DISinformation, allowed in by official silence, have been very devils of this case.
You guys are going to jump on me, but I still do NOT think she was in the jpj arena. I think she was killed elsewhere and then taken to the farm so it would correspond with being in Charlottesville. Could be wrong but I am OLD and do not change my mind easily. I also am having a HARD time with this new format, like I said, I am old and set in my ways.
Blink editors Kate and Candice have their cheese firmly set here.

ahem.
I believe it was, “LET GO…f*cker!” [kick]
By the time she had huffily hoofed down to the crosswalk at Massie, Kickee might have yelled something lame at her like, “What the hell?! Hey! … Welllll, excuuuuuuse me! … Why’d ya have to kick me?! That kinda hurt. …” By then, MH is crossing Massie with the four dudes in black, who were like, “What’s wrong with that d-bag over there?” At which point MH starts to realize it *was* kind of funny what had just happened: she was pissed after getting into it with the fascist door lady, and had messed up her chin to boot, so when she stumbled on her way from the entrance to the road, and D-Bag (aka Kickee) sort of reached out and grabbed her elbow to steady/hit-on her, asking if she was alright – well, bad timing, Kickster. Plus, you’re lame. So she kicked him – like this! – right in the shin! [replays kick for dudes as they cross Massie], slightly wobbling while the dudes laugh. [cue judgy bookkeeper witness]
*Back by the entryway, Kickee mutters to himself as he flips open his his cell phone (“fine…whatever… what a little b*tch!…I’m telling Cathy about this! … She was too young for me anyway,” as he speed-dials his equally lame girlfriend.*
By the time they’re across Massie, the dudes invite MH to have a smoke with them in the back lot; same witness sees her gathered around a vehicle with the dudes in the RV lot a few minutes later while parking circa 9:15 pm. She tsk-tsked the scene, concluding the young people were partying … or whatever it is that bookkeeper’s imagine to be “partying.”
[Enter BB players] …

If your editors, as well as many others, believe she never made it to JPJ arena, that sure points in an entirely different direction.
There being no pictures, at all, of ANY of them on October 17, 2009.
This is so very frustrating. O Morgan, who did this to you?

By the way, “kiss” people: AM kissed *her* – not the other way around. Per Dr. H to The Hook. And, I care so little about that sad little detail that I will not even expend the time to cut and paste the line/link. But trust me, that’s where it was twisted from.

Interesting. Blink whats your take on this article? I’ve never understood what exactly her role is. Volunteer internet PI? Writer? Not impressed. But you do have to admit, that 2 head comment was pretty funny.
Kenny J http://www.examiner.com/examiner/x-30376-Private-Investigations-Examiner~y2010m2d3-The-hunt-for-Morgan-Harringtons-killer
My take is she is going to be looking at copyright infringement at a minimum for scraping posts owned by this site without permission and out of context. Then, she is going to clarify or retract the comments of posters with sex crimes and criminal pasts. Neither one of those are affiliated with posters on this site and I won’t stand for such an accusation.

Oops, sorry. We have lots of pages, but not that one!
Well…if they know why she left the arena, they know who…UNLESS she just left for some inexplicable (to us) reason that made sense to her in her (possibly, and allegedly) irrational state. The whole feeling hot, feeling flustered, needing air, whatever.
My beef is that SURELY she told her friends on the phone (unless she lied to them saying something like, Oh, I wanted to go to the bathroom and got lost” because she was embarrassed), or if she didn’t tell them, then SURELY she told the guards at the (alleged) more than one entrance she tried to get back into. She would TOTALLY have tried to make a case as to how she got out and why she wanted back in. Maybe she tried three doors and told three different stories to three different guards, not wanting to say “I had a drunken/drugged freakout moment” if that’s what happened, but can’t we learn what on earth she said to them?
But Barney and editors ;; Her parents say they are 100% sure she made it to the bridge ,they speak to LE . Many have cited her at the arena area in a tipsy mode . Her three friends inside say she was inside . The basketball players say she talked to them and they were outside . Her cell phone was active until 9:30 she was texting on it . I just don’t see any motive for what you suggest and the coverup conspiracy added on that has apparently held up seems hard to believe . Your editors have more info then most . I have only heard of the case for a week so i guess i am easily duped . But i will stubbornly stay duped . BTW that Anne F—ty is a real piece of chit . By her description everyone who has written a crime story ,commented in a blog,or tried to solve a who-dun-it is a raving criminal from away back . Accordingly all LE’s are criminals . What a friggin hatchet job on hoardes of people .She just seems irresponsably sleezy . She reminds me of a lawyer my family knows in my area . This lawyer is a strikingly beautiful highly intelligent blonde lady who is on charges for smuggling drugs into prison for her client . Her first name is Anne also .
Ann deleted her article. I respect that.

That is alliteration at it’s finest.
J2K, you are undoubtedly right about the kiss thing getting twisted, but don’t forget, Dr. H (whom we love him dearly and mean no disrespect towards) has been know to get things wrong (like where Morgan’s car was or was not). Lots of details being flung at him in a moment of crisis, so it’s totally understandable.
On the other hand, as we know, the sloppy press are still going anout their careless reporting, like the Feb 1 article that attributes Gil’s remarks to Dan. Small point, but jeeze oh flip, that one is EASY to fact check—you simply have to pull up the blog and see the words “Gil’s thoughts…”
lol, hadn’t noticed, Mary! Now I am thinking Simon Says…
My dear Blink and friends,
I still contend this was an ex boyfriend who knew she was going to be at the concert that evening. It doesn’t make sense as a random act, there were many people milling around the campus per reports. Many opportunities available, so why Morgan?
I think he knew about the plans to attend the concert with her firends..infact I think he knew about almost everything she did since they broke up. I think the concert gave him months of planning time. I also think that he went there with the intention of harming her..if she got back with him..there would have been a beating..if she didn’t there was death.
She thought she was meeting someone else..but I think he intervened. I just feel this in my bones…he was a stalker and just would not let her go..he was obsessed with Morgan. I think he knew there was a risk in approaching her at her college, at her apartment, at her parents home, anywhere she normally frequented..but in a public venue so large and away from her normal digs, he knew that was his last opportunity.
I don’t think kickee is involved..infact I thought that he was debunked ..as many others were. I still do not believe the hitchhiking..I think some things have been inserted as facts to confuse the killer. I think that only he thinks he knows all the true facts..and is happy to see the wrong in print. Make no mistake..LE know exactly whom they are after..they just need time to do this right and secure the prosecution.
There is a reason why the friends have been silent, the BB players have been silent and the limo driver has been silent…think about that for a minute..they all spoke with LE , LE has said they are not anything other then what they seem to be…friends, bystanders..and for me possible witnesses.
As far as nothing leading the LE force to her last location..no cell phone pings, false leads that were planted by the killer (returning her purse to the first location to make it appear as the crime scene..remember, never let them take you to a second location…), and the ever zealous public wanna be’s that try to help but in that extent give very misleading info. Meaning any girl with black on that night that was remembered people felt compelled to tell LE. Rightfully so, LE wanted every tip…but some seemed like fabrications for that person’s own exposure.
I think that it is only a matter of time now for LE to tie this up and place a bow on it..Morgan deserves that. I know waiting is the hardest part…but at the end it will have been worth it to place her killer behind bars.
By the way I was born on the cusp of Libra / Scorpio..talk about needing justice..
Peace and hugs my dear friend,
DD
Sure seems suspiciously silent suspect-wise….
MJ re: Gil’s Take
(February 3, 2010 at 1:22 am)
I meant to respond to you earlier, MJ.
I was touched that someone on here immediately related to Gil’s elegant, devastatingly prolific prose regarding death (at the end of The HooK story). When I envision her slowly flipping through those awful pictures, trying to see the aching beauty of life and death, even in her daughter’s battered bones and bare skull… That she considered it her “honor” to take in and absorb what had become of her own precious flesh and blood… one last time… Well, it’s almost too much to bear. What a poetic soul Gil has – something it sounds like you and she share. Thank you for putting out the story of your own last moments with someone sacred to you, and you have my deepest sympathies.
Blink, I’ve been following & reading for a long time. I just have to ask, do you think it is possible that this was a ‘planned’ homicide. For example, the preface to this crime really happ’d before the 17th, and maybe why that is what is so baffling. It’s not really where she went to the bathroom, or if she went to the bathroom. It’s not even why she left the arena. It’s about before. Just a feeling…..something more hasn’t even been discussed.
Sorry Blink and all but I have to spout off here. I just read this article
http://www.examiner.com/examiner/x-30376-Private-Investigations-Examiner~y2010m2d3-The-hunt-for-Morgan-Harringtons-killer
For awhile now it has seemed there has been like this “competition” between web sites (Facebook, Findmorgan.com etc…not just naming them, there are others……) anyways what really irritates me is we ALL, no matter what site, have done nothing for the last 3 months but try to figure out the where, when, why, who about this case. We all have felt love for the Harrington Family and sorrow for their plight, Gil breaks each and every heart on all of these sites with her posts.
For 3 months we have all held out hope for Morgan to be found, alive and if not alive at least found for her parents. We want the SOB caught and made to pay for taking her precious life from her.
This is what I find when I come to Blinks site every day, beautiful caring people just trying to help figure out what happened to this poor girl….not anything different then any of these other sites. So why was this article bashing Blink on Crime and Scared monkeys when more then half of the people on Face book and FindMorgan.com come here to get info when it comes time to find out the real FACTS that Blink so kindly calls Corrine Geller for to set the record straight???? I have read numerous times on those sites “BOC has whatever” or ‘Blink just called Corrine and this is what was said…” So why the bash on this site now???
I was under the impression that WE ALL, no matter what site we are on, are here for the same reason and that was to bring Morgan home to her family and now to try to figure out what happened to her. LE is doing what they can but sometimes they can use some help…what we are doing here and everywhere on the net is trying to HELP.
Sorry Blink that article really upset me….
blink,
please excuse me if i am asking a question that has already been posted here, but after scanning these links i cannot find an answer to:
1. how was morgan’s body found? what led LE to this area?
2. was she buried or was her body just laying on the ground?
thanks
lee, 6:12 pm (BST)
Thanks for the abc link. http://abcnews.go.com/US/virginia-tech-student-morgan-harringtons-death-ruled-homicide/story?id=9740132 We’ve heard this inferred, but I don’t know if we’ve got a direct quote.
LE’s been very discreet about what is or is not on video tape. They’ve said there aren’t any photos, which doesn’t sound anywhere near the truth to me and many writers here.
Mom, thanks for the jeep pictures. Helpful.
susanm, I agree that the purse on the ground could result from being forced into a vehicle. No scream heard? No struggle in the vehicle? I think that girl would thrash pretty hard. How close would a vehicle have to be to that grassy area? I think it was planted later, daringly in the darkest hours.
Ann deleted her article. I respect that.

Sorry Blink, you can disregard my post them…just ruffled my feathers.
oh, and thanks for the mushy bday wishes, all.
Really meant a great deal and buoyed me for this difficult week. ty.
Mary – appreciate your time and effort on that – I was unable to check it myself, and couldnt get hold of the person I would usually get to verify. I have now sorted out my tech problems and have confirmed what I was told is definetly incorrect, or unreported – I assume the former. This ‘info’ was passed on by a friend in the area who had heard a rumour.
It would seem there are a few rumours doing the rounds locally at the moment (as we all now) – with 80% being completly erroneous and ruled out by LE – the UVA assault link seems to be just another one on the pile.
Once again, thanks for your time. As you were.
P.S. To those who have been a bit bewildered over the past few days by the way LE have handled this case let me assure you that the noose is tightening – we are close to resolution.

Lexington, i don’t want to speak for Blink but I think most of our initial thoughts were that the answers would be found in emails, text messages, and facebook postings that happened over the 6 mos leading up to the show. Since LE is at least as smart as we are, this was probably among their first thoughts, too. We’re not privy to the stuff they have combed through, but the fact that there wasn’t an arrest on day 1 much less day 101 makes me think that the past is not prologue in this case.
alexandra – re: Granny, suggested,
” …then she was seen by Granny arguing, and Granny heard a smack sound, she them in an arm lock. He walked off, away, she walked back towards the arena…”
But! What if… and, I’m just putting this out there so we can explore all theories and interchange them with all alleged/discredited/repeatedly-interviewed/never-interviewed/only-interviewed-by-the-media witnesses. … So! What if, using alexandra’s scenario…
… Once the young man she was “unable to describe” walked away toward the road — Granny pounced! WHAT IF GRANNY DID IT???
(Sure, Grandma- sure you “can’t recall” what this mysterious “young man” looked like. A likely story. Tell it to the judge.)

sky, Observer – re: Mea Culpa
Hmmm. “Crescendo” does not appear to translate well in type-speak.
I, too, believe Morgan never made it to JPG. Why? Most info is based on reports from witnesses and from what I have read, eye witnesses aren’t always reliable. I don’t believe there has ever been anything reported that she was in fact there. This could easily be cleared up if the friends would show their photos at JPG with Morgan at JPG or if LE could release info from people sitting next to her at the concert who could verify she and the group were actually there.
Originally, after I finally accepted the theory that she hadn’t run away with a BF, I thought they kept the photos private because it may some how involve a POI, and possibly “push” an unstable POI possible over the edge to suicide, and thus NEVER find the body.
Also, do you think the ME delay in report of COD could be so to the family could be focused on her funeral? Would you be surprised to hear an announcement AFTER Friday?

But, about that abc article… that was the most craptastic, hack-a-riffic, equal-opportunity-intern, mish-mashed muck-masquerading-as-journalism I’ve seen in quite some time. There were at least 14 glaring errors.
… But I, um, won’t get into that again. I think I’ve made myself psychotically clear: Trust nothing in that article.
mjh, i think frank speaker is just talking about a hip dude with a ‘soul patch’, a style which annoys all right thinking people of a certain age, lol.
Frank Speaker re: Agreed.
you noted,
“… BTW that Anne F—ty is a real piece of chit . By her description everyone who has written a crime story ,commented in a blog,or tried to solve a who-dun-it is a raving criminal from away back . Accordingly all LE’s are criminals . What a friggin hatchet job on hoardes of people .She just seems irresponsably sleezy. …”
Last time “Kenny” built up her “new article!” and I read through it with increasing disdain when I realized what she was doing/stealing/self-promoting/wasting-my-timing. (Plus: The Examiner? A news source? Ha.) Anyway, I wrote a post here about her “work” and The Examiner, in general, that was pretty, uh, harsh. Let’s just say that referring to her as a “hack” was me at my most diplomatic. I’m sure she took such dismissiveness from others as well, and if she *is* a well-respected PI via her Rat Dog Detective Agency (which her “articles” are transparently subliminal ads for, imo), well, good for her and the fine folks of San Francisco.
But she is not a journalist or news writer by any stretch of the imagination; she knows nothing more/has no more access than the average lurker – and, again, The Examiner is not a legitimate news source.
So, what is her point? (And what is Kenny’s cut?)
I often get the feeling that Morgan really never made it to the JPJ arena either. I have felt that since the beginning. I read a comment on BOC yesterday(can’t remember which one), that referred to a potential party before concert that they all possibly attended. Instantly, my very first thought was her friend Sarah’s comment:
“I mean obviously if we thought…. something bad….we wouldn’t have done it if we didn’t think it was ok. uhmmmm, but…….you know….obviously….we wish things had taken place differently”.
I know this comment has been said to mean that they would not have taken the car home without her after the concert; but what if it actually referred to the fact that they would not have left her at the pre-concert party if they had known it would go bad? Maybe Morgan was having so much fun at the party and with a new potential BF, that she simply decided to forgo Metallica and sent her friends off without her? I know I’ve made many decisions in life that came at a complete and utter surprise to those who know me. Sarah Sneed’s statement makes a lot more sense to me in reference to a party than a car ride home. This has niggled at me for the past three months, so I just had to get it out. It’s just one more theory to consider.
It also puts things a little more in perspective about what we do or do not think about her friends knowing more than what they have said. If they told LE that she was left at the pre-concert party and they have no clue what happened after that fact, then I would have a lot easier time understanding how they have behaved since then. I still would not condone a lot of how they have acted, and certainly I, and most of us here, would not have acted the same way. But until the discovery of Morgan’s body, they may truly have been thinking and hoping that she was with a new boyfriend from the party and would come back when she wanted to. This would also fit in with the “no pictures, video, etc.”, of Morgan that night, and also that the friends would be absolutely forbidden to release any photos of the party as the BG would definitely be in those pictures.
I’m sure that early on LE was pretty convinced this was a case of foul play, but would not have been able to tell the friends, except to say don’t publish any photos, etc. because it was a police investigation into a missing person. It would also most assuredly explain why no one has seen any evidence of her attendance at the concert in any way, shape or form. Maybe it was a case of GG turned BG at the party; they left together, things went downhill for whatever reason, and she was taken to the farm as we now know. I guess it’s easier for me to think this, than to really contemplate what horrifically bad friends these girls may be.
That’s all I’ve got. I hope that the BG is known to LE at this point, and I hope we see an arrest made very soon, with justic and peace for the Harrington family and Morgan.
Rob,
I was thinking of your comment 2/2 7:07pm (BST) where you considered that the prepetrator disabled MH’s phone and his own. Alternatively, he may have known he’d have no cell phone reception in that area.
Didn’t someone say service would in about 2 miles from there? He’s local. Darn local.
Thanks Sky and J2K ….I love Aquarius and yes, I have been humming it…..over, and over…and over. Yes, I am old enough to remember when it first came out!
Sky, you remind me of student I had years ago in the far south western part of VA. You didn’t grow up in that area did you? Don’t reveal too much, there are EYES on this site, but did you happen to live in a town known for coal mining? You are probably NOT her, but she was one of my favorites from my very first year of teaching.
Love your posts SKY and J2K.

[*standing ovation*]
I would be remiss not to direct those who may have missed joeamerica’s post to take the time and read it.
Also, when you’re not catching up on BOC (or listening to the DP podcasts!), I recommend checking out the following shows:
“The First 48″ (A&E)*
“Forensic Files ” (TruTV)
Cold Case Files (TruTV?)
*Particularly this one.
suz–lol “of a certain age”
zeus–good one. I think she made it to the concert, but there’s definitely something off about that SS statement.
Now you other jokers are making me deliriously silly. In 2009 we would have really been diggin’ this.
“At dawn on 14th February the day dedicated to St Valentine, the patron saint of Love, the Moon in Libra enters the seventh house of relationships. And Jupiter and Mars are aligned in Aquarius in the twelfth house of spiritual transformation. Forty years ago, the intuitive words of a song called Aquarius, brought the dawning of the new age into our collective awareness: When the Moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars. Then peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars.”

This year, we’ll have to party like it’s 2009.
