Morgan Harrington Murder: Harringtons Debut Morgan Rocks

Posted by BOC Staff | Alex Harrington,Anchorage Farm,Dan Harrington,Gil Harrington,Morgan Harrington,Murdered | Wednesday 17 March 2010 12:28 pm

Charlottesville, VA- Continuing the crusade to memorialize their daughter Morgan and keep the public focused on the dangerous killer(s) still at large,  Dan and Gil Harrington will be meeting with media today at 1PM.

The meeting agenda will include the Harrington’s ongoing concerns for womens safety on and off campus, and their fears associated with the fact that there has not been an arrest in their daughters murder to date.

BOCMorganBridgePainting

The Harringtons are also expected to announce MORGAN ROCKS.

In response to a hand-painted river rock, lovingly and generously created and delivered to the Copely bridge by blinkoncrime.com contributor Skyler, containing the phrase “Rock On”; The Harringtons have decided to widen the trend.

MORGAN ROCKS

We are starting a “gathering of rocks” at Morgan’s memorial on

Morgan’s Bridge at Copeley Road on the North Grounds of the University of Virginia. When you come to Charlottesville and to the bridge bring a rock and a prayer to add to the collection. Leave both at the bridge!

Morgan, Gil, Alex and I continue to need your support and prayers as we wait for Morgan’s murder(s) to be brought to justice. Your support in raising society’s awareness of the need to change the culture of acceptance of violence against women and in so doing change the laws that allow these crimes to go unpunished.

Skyler’s slate rock was the first. A beautiful painted slate rock with an image of Anchorage Farm, Tibetan prayer flags and an angel rising to the heavens. Morgan, Rock ON!!!

Blink – The DNA that may have been found on the shirt that wasn’t Morgan’s, did it possibly match DNA found on or near the body? I assume LE is trying to match this DNA to someone?

There has been no release of any DNA found on the shirt, Morgan’s or otherwise.

another female found dead in stafford, va a few weeks ago? shot?
may not be related to Morgan, but may.
many female bodies showing up in Virginia … very possible VSP and/or impersonator on your hands. someone who is traveling the highway system frequently … possibly for job related (that is why i think VSP similar to DPS in Texas).

What victim are you reffering to?

i think the RSO who lives close by to AF, worked close by and all in all fits the profile / occams razor for solution set shouldn’t be the primary POI, but while looking at this case and seeing other women showing up demised throughout Virginia recently (dumped along off ramps and wooded areas all in proximity to highway system) … i do believe there is someone who’s occupation may take them all over Virginia (which makes for tidy alibis)and it either impersonating LE and/or is LE.

  5. cosmo says:

looks like they have the guy who killed Jerryell Myesah Foster.
i wonder if this guy is linked to the Dinwiddle body found
    http://www.nbc12.com/Global/story.asp?S=12169430

sorry B – off topic, and i guess too far away from Morgan.

the more time goes on, the more i agree with many on here … RSO is it,
LE just needs to pinpoint / more evidence to primary crime scene. i think the RSO was on way home from work or wherever and happened upon MH. took advantage of the situation. learned from previous crime, mistakes, incarceration, and was not going to leave someone alive to talk like previous offenses?

separate note: still think LE and FBI need to be on the lookout in VA for impersonations / member of LE / occupation / who is traveling the highway system and disposing of bodies.

Also on Maggie Voth, did she ever say which way she was walking. I only remember her brief comment something about
“I saw her hitch hiking.” and she posted this on October 19 or 20. Anybody know? Chad, Don’t know why I thought you might have any more info, just hopeful, I guess. Don’t get discouraged, lean on me! It will be OK. This is not an easy journey, to say the least.

    J2K says:
“This won’t help yo’ frustration, T, but VSP didn’t even give us *that* – The Dude Quartet account came from a credible-sounding witness, who recounted to the press what she saw as she pulled into UHall parking around 9 p.m., and who noted the half-a-dozen interviews she subsequently had with LE on the matter.”

Four BIB are for sure, not the four UVA bbplayers? Remember there could be some confusion and we are not privey to who saw what, when unless they post it, crediable or not, or LE tells us. And, we never did know if there were 3 or 4 of them, UVAbbplayers, that is. I would like to read a more detailed account of Morgan’s movements that night. It could seriously help us and in turn, we could help LE?

**Blink: Do you ever think that LE would ever release a more detailed timeline of Morgan’s movements or is this it?

But, if we all can believe that that is Morgan and crew, and we rule out if the RSO, is not near her at concert. Abducting her,(for the argument’s sake) Then it really does become about location. Who took her there. Of all places! They knew the area quite well.

I’m going back to AF & Apt. Complex where shirt was located.

oh and thoughts on a primary crime scene.

re: lawsuit against the arena, the one thing I wonder if it could do: If the Harringtons really wanted answers that they currently aren’t getting, perhaps a lawsuit may be a way to get some answers. not like sue them to ‘get back at them’ kind of thing.. But of course, maybe the Harringtons have info that they are content with and we’re all just outside the circle of knowledge. Like the article josie posted at 3:37pm .. that makes it sound like there is footage… ??

about the HH’ing. I’m 40. Today I saw a young man on the side of the road.. in my mind resembled a Mr. Cheese-jumpsuit… you know, I went back to my 20 yr old mind and thought, you know, I wouldn’t pick him up.. but I wonder if I would’ve given him a ride if I saw him in a store, or something. Young girls have interesting thoughts about guys.. especially if they think they have something in common. Just something that crossed my mind about her getting in a car with someone. It’s not that far a stretch if the guy is charming and circumstances are right.

I like that we’re re-hashing some beginning of the time-line stuff. Maybe second (3rd, 15th…) time around we might pick up on something or with fresh eyes…. you guys are great.

TO: Fish: Your sweet daughter’s message to me last evening was so incredibly sweet—not to mention, touching. [I was so struck when she called me “FairyGodMother.”] What a wonderful child you have…truly her mother’s daughter! Before you tuck her into bed tonight, please give her a big, heartfelt hug and thanks from me–the FairyGodMom “Observer”.

TO: B, localcvillegirl, Mom3.0, lee, jessejane, chad (you’re not alone: I’m no good at goodbyes either), mosaic, (the incomparable) TA (I’m so very sorry to hear you lost your mom), Eloise, PM1, Diana H., J2K, Josie, Kathy, and anyone else I may have inadvertently forgotten: thank you so much for your very kind words with regard to my friend who yesterday lost his hard-fought battle with cancer. Your support and prayers are more meaningful than you may know. I am in awe once again of the wonderful, caring, supportive group we have here…

But back to dear, sweet Morgan:

TO: yoshi, re: no re-entry at JPJ: While I’ve been there multiple times, inc. the grand opening event (Cirque du Soleil), I confess that I have not taken note of whether or not every entrance/exit bears a sign indicating no re-entry. [Some may, whiles some may not.] Regardless of signage, my understanding is that all ticket stubs do bear this notice.

For the other poster who earlier mentioned entry/exits: you can indeed enter and exit from the same door. The last time I was there (very recently) for the Celtic Woman concert I entered via the front portal and exited same. [There was a bagpiper there in the lobby area entertaining concert-goers as we exited the arena.]

TO: link5150: You asked “How come we hear nothing from any students or anybody on the campus, rumors, sightings, general info.”

You raise a good question on the face of it, link5150; however, please let me offer that because students have not made public statements does not mean that they have not contacted the tipline and/or VSP and offered numerous statements and information.

As discussed thoroughly on another, much earlier thread, there are a variety of reasons why students and/or other potential witnesses have not and/or will not make public pronouncements. The same is true of LE; that is, because they have not publicly stated “On (fill-in-the-blank-with-a-date) we (LE) interviewed link5150 who reported to us that s/he…” does not mean that they have not thoroughly vetted that witness.

BTW: There are reports that Morgan was seen talking to the BB players, and was also seen with the infamous BIB—two separate and distinct groups of people. These reports were based upon information shared with LE. The same is true of the reports that Morgan was seen appearing (emphasis on “appearing”) to be HH on Copeley. While we can affirm that certain of these reports were not made by students (but were made by other individuals/witnesses), additional, corroborating reports may well have been made by students.

Bottom line: While I again appreciate the frustration on the part of the listening and concerned public, an absence of public reports with names of specific witnesses—including reports offered by student witnesses– does not mean that such reports have not been offered, made, given, and/or vetted to/by LE.

RE: Take Back The Night: Like Dr. Harrington, I encourage all readers/contributors to take the time to learn about this important event, find out if one will be held in your town or an area near you (see http://www.takebackthenight.org/), and get out there and have your voice heard: Violence against women must stop. I promise you that these events are profound, moving experiences.

RE: Morgan’s “ROCKS”: Just a quick reminder that I will be leaving the country a week from Saturday (April 3) and won’t be returning until April 18. If you have a rock you’d like to send to me to place at Morgan’s memorial on Copeley before I leave, please allow enough time for it to get here, or perhaps wait until after 4/18, as I’ll be unavailable to check mail/place rocks in the interim. Thanks in advance to those who are interested in contributing in this manner to this wonderful “rock sculpture” tribute to Morgan!

Is it possible that the original crime scene could be on the way to JMU someplace? It stands to reason that if Morgan was hitch hiking that might be a place she would ask to go. So the BG pretends like he is going that route up to a certain point then pulls off a side road and stops….

Eliminating the thrashing blonde near dee-

Thrashing blonde not Morgan- There during Metallica and this video shows a face shot
0:24 see Dee to left of ‘pole’ standing next to boyfriend- if you watch them during the video, they are so sweet together- if they haven’t seen this video they should- Makes me wonder where her BF was during LOG cause… he clearly cares for her and has his arm around her … and she seemed so alone in the LOG vids…… I think the guy in the white tshirt and tan pants is the one who talked to the curly short haired dude next to Dee during LOG- don’t see him any where in this video-but you can see Dee’s whole outfit- barelegs and short boots-

0:24 see thrashing blonde to the right of Dee and the ‘pole’ with arms up in air 0:29 see back of head 0:41-0:45 turns around 0:54 turns again 1;00 see blonde- 1:05 begins thrashing pause play 1:07-1:09-1:20 I think this eliminates that HBB.

Skyler and Eloise, Dee is the blonde in your video- The group around her is her guys in black- The thrashing blonde in my video is the guy with Misfits shirt in your video- the same HBB concernedbystander,(I think) got a still shot of -showing his sideburns- So this video and my video I think eliminates the HBB from near Dee-

    http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=tbyrd7777#p/u/13/JScSv7ff9hQ

    Also-
The Possible Morgan group in front of the stage- near the bald security guy towards the other end of the arena, seems to not be there during Metallica- but as it is too far away to tell, I am not sure. Still searching to eliminate-

There are lots of interesting things/ people in this video- There is a long haired girl dressed in all black with long sleeves that stands first to the right of the ‘pole’ then moves behind the pole- then moves to the left of the pole-

If I wasn’t sure that Morgan had kindof light blonde hair I would question whether or not this was Morgan, she has darker hair. She is drinking from a covered drink that some guy offers her- she moves away from him several times she then has the drink container-next she is quickly led from camera shot- before the song is over- I hope this girl is ok and that was a bf and I am reading too much into her movements.

If anyone is interested in this odd exchange watch the pole closet to the camera man keep your eye on guy in the cap next to/infront of the camera man- The girl and guy are first seen at 0:40 to the left of the pole-then thru 0:53 again at 1:00- 1:05 then you can watch her drink from the cup – talk to him- move away to stand behind the pole- move again, dance – then be pulled from view with the cup at 3:12

To Sky, #8 above: I have watched and re-watched this video today–I use a 30″ Samsung as my monitor, and I just don’t think this is Morgan (I want it to be!)

Forgive me if this has been discussed, but it seems that it would be entirely possible for Miss M. to have been accidentally bumped/bopped in the chin/face–the crowd IS a little wild. She is at a concert she has been anxiously awaiting for 6 months, and then some BOZO bumps her in the face. (I would be a little upset if this happened to me–we were at a Bob dylan Concert recently with my 13 yo and some goofus was sitting a couple of rows ahead of us and he would not sit down and he would not be quiet–everyone, including us was getting really mad! (This guy appeared to be on meth–he was mean!) If Morgan was accidentally “hit” we can throw out the speculations regarding her “drinking or drugging.”

I simply cannot believe that with all the security surrounding the stage, etc. that SOMEONE didn’t see a young girl in distress. We are all fairly certain that she DESPERATELY wanted back in the arena once she exited, for whatever the reason. RIGHT?

One more thing is kind of bugging me. Blink has said that the case restarted on the 25th of Jan–is this where we want to focus our efforts (arena, videos, etc.) OR do we need to go back and look at the day that Morgan was found and the day of Sutherland fire–both of which “technically” didn’t happen until the 26th?

OT: I loved when daughter of fish sweetly signed her e-mail Fishes Daughter!

  15. Russ says:

Long time lurker- Concerning video or close circuit T.V. inside concert venues- many bands have a rider in their contracts that video or close circuit T.V. inside the venue will be be turned off during the concert. This is to prevent the ‘bootlegging’ of videos from the concert. In the event the concert is being filmed for the projection screens many venues now have, a tape of the show is to be turned over to the band after the show so that if ‘bootleg’ footage shows up from that venue shot with those cameras, the venue can be held financially responsible. I have no idea if the JPJ arena has cameras or not. If they do, they may very well have been turned off if Metallica’s contract called for it.

  16. Liam says:

Ms Harrington was reported to be walking in the same direction as/not with 4 BIB. Morgan had “limited interaction” with the BB players. It is known who she last spoke to.

  17. ZAMS says:

Anyone else notice there is only a sprinkling of new comments each day now? Not much of anything apart from the usual regulars and even that has dwindled off markedly. Seems like LE’s strategy is that if they remain quiet long enough maybe the public will just go away and forget about it.

    Not gonna happen

    Campfire?

  19. localcvillegirl says:

Hey ZAMS, don’t worry, most of us old timers are still here. We’re just waiting on some real news, hoping that LE will give us a few more crumbs.

  20. Link5150 says:

Observer: I know people have talked with the VSP and I know VSP have investigate these reports. That is not my point. My point is simply, why do we not hear anything on any of these investigative sites from any students or friends of friends. Answers to simple stuff like “I know that Dan was wearing a hat that night” or “I know what unicorn means” or “i know they were by the stage that night”. Does it not seem a little strange to anybody else that there is no one saying anything out there?

I personally disagree with some of the strategy and i would be lying if I said otherwise, and that’s never how I roll.

That said, I understand the reasoning, and the battle they are forging to prosecute bad guys. I have to respect them and their process.

That said, Morgan is on my mind 24/7, and she is my priority, so I reserve the right to append my process if I think it is a better mousetrap.

Observer, thanks for your efforts to build Morgan Rocks, it is fitting as the kids collected rocks when they were younger. How ironic that we would be collecting them for Morgan afte she is gone.

I hope you have a great trip. Again thanks for your help.

  22. Morgan's Dad says:

I notice the posting above that comments on the fewer number of postings regarding Morgan’s case. I too am concerned that fewer postings are occurring. I believe that a missing woman is more interesting than a dead one. I am concerrned that letting Morgan’s case be silent will allow complacency to return or remain in the Charlottesville/UVA community. My daughter was MURDERED by someone in the Charlottesville/UVA community. They need to be caught. We have tried very hard to keep the public concerned about safety: however, soemone with more authority than Gil and me needs to step up and support this important issue. I am amazed that a $150,000 reward is not enticing to someone who knows something.

    HELP US FIND MORGAN’S KILLER(S)!!!!!!

    O Dr. H-

I continue to be humbled, as I am sure do the contributors here. Make no mistake, and hopefully take a smidge of comfort, finding Morgans remains has lit a greater fire for what has happened to your beauty.

Nobody is going anywhere, and you are with friends, we stand with you Gil, and Alex.

  23. osu says:

Please don’t think that because there are fewer posts that Morgan is fading into the background. I check this site every day, I just don’t have much to add so stay quiet. If anything, she has brought increased awareness to the dangers that young women face and I am teaching my daughter “the gift of fear” going forward.

We are heading to Virginia tomorrow for Spring Break and I already told my husband that I want to go to Morgan’s bridge.

One thing that I was thinking about, I just read a book about the Scott Peterson case and was amazed at the length his family would go to to try and protect him. They either were in denial or felt that their son was their golden child so it didn’t matter what he did to his wife. I think that maybe whoever took Morgan away may have a family like that, they will cover for him because they think he is special and above everything else. JMO.

  24. Mom3.0 says:

Hello ZAMS, I can only speak for myself but, after Morgan’s cause of death was given, I felt as if the wind was knocked out of my sails. It was as if I was mourning Morgan’s death all over and this time, I had no words of comfort to share with Blink, ‘the regulars’ any of the posters at BOC or even the lurkers. I certainly had nothing to say that would ease the pain of The Harrington’s.

Even though I do not post here, everyday, I still read here, EVERYDAY. It is true I am sad, but, as The Harrington’s know, life goes on too, when you are in mourning.
Another reason I do not post as often is this is the time of year things speed up in the school year. Also, this is the time of year for vacations, and I am sure most people are gearing up for spring break….

My interest in finding Morgan’s killers has not diminished. Where, I once gave my opinions freely, several times a day, I now only join in on the conversation, if I feel I have something useful to contribute, that would help Morgan and The Harrington’s.

I do agree with you that LE should release things to keep the public interested. But I feel they are doing what they think is necessary. I don’t think any of us have forgotten Morgan, or post less, because we are no longer interested, it just seems to be a more serious time, with our now knowing how that beautiful, trusting, shiny girl died, and we are all dealing with the news in our own ways- I just wanted to respond to you so that The Harrington’s know, I am still here, and have not forgotten their daughter. 241

    Dear Blink,

Thanks for being here, everyday for Morgan, and for us, I appreciate it. No matter how sad you are, no matter how busy you are, we can always find you here, fighting the good fight, thank you.

Thanks for having both my back, and that of those who need it.

I have definately not lost interest in this case. I get on this site every day, sometimes 2-3 times a day. The other night when there was breaking news, I was really hoping it was about this case and that there had been an arrest. It turned out to be about the healthcare bill. I know that was a national breaking news report and not local, but in my mind, this case IS national breaking news.
I think everyone is still extremely interested in solving this and keeping the case alive, but are waiting for more clues. Don’t think we have lost interest Dr H, I know a lot of people who get on here everyday, but don’t post. Your Morgan is very important and special!!

  27. Mom3.0 says:

    Oh, Dear Dr. Harrington,
I just posted a response to ZAMZ comment, and read your plea. Please, kind Sir, do not believe for a moment that any of us have forgotten Morgan, or have lost interest, that is not true. I do not live near Virginia, but I appreciate all those who can attend The Take Back The Night, gathering, and I also appreciate, your coming here this afternoon to tell us about it. I am working on my rock as we speak, and I will send it off to Observer as soon as she returns. Please, Sir, do not get discouraged, we are here, we all still care.
I think of Morgan and of your family everyday, I say a prayer for you every night. please, take solace from the fact that we do care, and we are here for you, no matter, what. Love, Momof3

  28. Observer says:

    Dr. Harrington,

You, Gil, and Alex are more than welcome for whatever efforts I might offer to honor your shiny girl, Morgan. It is my absolute privilege to support your family in any manner I can, whether that’s collecting and placing rocks at her memorial on Copeley, supporting efforts to end violence against women, or putting forth theories or ideas about how this monster–and he is indeed a monster–was able to perpetrate this heinous crime against your sweet Morgan. [I have a beloved god-daughter near Morgan's age...and gasp at the thought of anything bad happening to her.]

As B said above, please take comfort in the knowledge that no one here is leaving or abandoning this fight. This is a fight to the end–the end when the BG feels the weighty hand of Lady Justice upon his shoulder. And he shall. We will not rest until that happens.

Morgan’s case will not grow silent, nor will her supporters here. As I mentioned in an earlier post, we will make our voices heard at events like Take Back The Night. We will take this battle and lead this charge from the Rotunda to Capitol Hill.

We will continue to fight the good fight…for you, for Gil, for Alex, but most of all, for Morgan.

We will not leave your side, Dr. Harrington.

    Respectfully,

    Observer

    Dr. Harrington,

I am still here and still very interested in why no one has been arrested for Morgan’s murder. I ,along with countless others, pray every day for news that someone has been arrested. We are all frustrated, I can’t begin to imagine your frustration! I haven’t posted here because I feel I have no insight that will help to progress this case. However, I am still here, still reading, and still trying to wrack my brain everyday to make this make sense.

I know LE has their reasons for not releasing info but, I do personally feel that they should release some info to help someone that may have info but doesn’t realize it. I also feel that if they do not have a POI, they should warn the public for safety reasons. It is not ok to tell the public they should not be concerned.

I will not give up hope that the person that did this will be caught and punished!

    Hi Dr. Harrington,

I don’t post as often as I used to, but it is not because of a lack of concern for your daughter or for your terrible plight. I read here daily and think of your family often.

I have followed crime boards for a few years and can assure you that while every case will ebb and flow, there will always be a passionate following in Morgn’s case. You and your wife have never ceased to impress in your quest to find Morgan and eventually her murderer.

The huge internet presence from the beginning was pure genius on your part. Every missing person should receive that kind of attention and concern. I was frankly amazed and even troubled at times by the amount of interest that some expressed.

Continue to keep interest alive by appearing and speaking publicly whenever possible. You and your wife are doing a great job. Your daughter would be proud of you.

we are almost at the two month mark for finding morgans remains, the dna in chelsea kings case was three days old,any dna found with morgan wouldve been 3 months 8 days old, gil did say reconstituted dna,i have been researching recon dna,and havent found any time references, but have been reading about amazing advances forensics have made in just the last few years regarding degraded dna, they can work with smaller and smaller amounts as tech advances, lets hope there’s some to work with.

  32. Mary L. says:

    Dr. H.,

There is no way I will leave until this murder is solved. I read, try to listen to what is being said without it actually being said
& interpret into my own conclusions. Many of which have already been expressed here. I throw in my $.02 & hope for change. No way will the murder of your ‘Shiny Girl’ leave my mind, thoughts or prayers. I’m even thinking of travelling to VA for my vacation to get a better ‘feel’ of the area. I could go into the party scene almost unnoticed (seasoned but not spoiled)and gleen info in that way from locals. Haven’t had time to research when would be best to go. But, don’t you or Mrs. H. ever think that we are waning on this cause. We love this little girl and we didn’t even get the chance to meet her. We will PERSEVERE! We will TAKE BACK THE NIGHT!!

    With love & great admiration,

    Mary

  33. skyler says:

Dr. H — we’ve never had the pleasure of meeting in person, but i hope by now you know my heart. In 2005 my house burned down — w/ me in it — i have been diagnosed w/ post-anxiety disorder. i only tell you that because my water heater in my new house broke and water dripped on the electric box and that burning electric smell is all throughout my house right now — After totally freaking out a few mins. ago and disconnecting all electricity from the power box — trying to get my kid and my cats out of the house and looking under the house and in the attic for potential fire — i’m sitting here trying to calm down. My thoughts go to you and your family. how you must have been so anxious every day waiting for news as to what happened to morgan — sorry, my kid messed w/ the keyboard and I have limited caps key —

And now you wait every day for news of her murderers. Dr. h, it’s not that we care less — that’s impossible. As each day passes we love and mourn Morgan more — to be blunt and honest — which i think is the way to go — the posts are dwindling because there’s nothing new —

i haven’t had time to read the other forums and i’m way behind here and have missed several posts —

i’m asking you — throw us a bone — give us some solid information. The brain trust you have here is incredible. you have local people, people who know how to research, you have the brain power of observer and her work and lifetime experience — j2k is just amazing in her analytical skills — keekee is a skilled researcher — i don’t mean to leave anyone out — my brain is frazzled right now — Blink has sources and connections all over the place — honestly, I don’t mean to leave anyone out — i can’t remember names right now —

Tell us something that is fact — the ONLY fact we have is that morgan was found deceased on AF — there’s still speculation that she was even inside jpj or that she made it to Cvlle and the concert —

i know your family’s stance in regard to the people who went w/ her to the concert. i have difficulty calling them her friends. But i worked in the legal field for 25 years and i know when witnesses are either lying or not telling all the truth — those friends know something, which i think they’re hiding to protect themselves.

Tell us what your understanding is of morgan’s interaction and conversation w/ the basketball players — they were the last known people to speak w/ morgan —

help us help you — we want to so badly.

you don’t have to give specifics if you feel it will compromise a case — which at this point seems to be non-existent — but please just answer yes or no — was morgan’s debit card used after 9;30 pm and is there a video capture of her using that card — you don’t have to tell where or if it showed she was w/ anyone else — just yes, and approximately what time

VSP has said what happened inside jpj has no effect on what happened after she exited the arena — i believe that is wrong — everything she did that day is relevant, and especially what she did inside jpj — i do not believe the statements in the public alleged by the friends stating morgan was just going to the bathroom — it doesn’t add up — they KNOW why morgan was going outside, and i believe they know who she went outside to meet up with.

Sorry this is long. I really could go on and on about how we all think of morgan and your family every single day — throughout the day — we worry that the killers — I believe there is more than one, and I believe one is a female — could be standing in front of us in line at Bodo Bagles —

But i will tell you this — and you may think I belong in a looney bin, sorry for the slang, but a lot of missing persons are being found lately — referencing the murder of those 5 teenagers in NJ 32 years ago — the possible discovery of natalie holloway’s remains — plus a lot more I’ve been reading about — i can’t help but wonder if morgan is exacting her own brand of justice for those victims on the other side of this veil of life.

Your beautiful shiny girl shines on —

Again, sorry for the length — but please, help us help you — my concern is that those in authority of this case have a mindset of a certain scenario of what happened, and they are taking whatever evidence they may get and molding it to fit that belief and discounting other evidence that may be relevant but doesn’t fit that mold —

Give us some facts, and i promise you poor Blink will be working away due to her server crashing !

Rock on, Dr. and mrs. h and Alex — let us do the heavy lifting for you for awhile : )

    Love, Sky

    Dr Harrington, Dil, and Alex:

Your Morgan has so captured all of our hearts! This is my first time ever, following any kind of a missing person case, newspaper.blog, news site. Thousands and thousands of people are following you shiney Morgans case. Many, many posters here have been for months now, following closely everyday. Whether they post or not, and just read, I feel doesn’t preclude them from being interested in solving this case.
Because Morgan has been confirmed as passed away, to me certainly doesn’t diminish or lessen the motivation to capture her killers. If anything, this news has encouraged new public interest into your daughter case.
Your family has been very proactive in keeping Morgan in the publics eye, with pressors and information that the public otherwise would not have known. Soley focused on justice.
We will continue to stand by you Dr. Harrington, and your family to press onward for justice for your beautiful precious Morgan.
Dr Harrington: Do you think upping the annie would generate more progress?
Peace to you and your family on this journey.

I’m going to assume there are many like me who are constantly on this site. I am on BOC numerous times each day. I have nothing to contribute because all of you are so skilled in your research, finding videos, maps, facebook accounts and so much more. I continually hope and pray that LE will soon make an arrest in Morgan’s murder. This brutal crime has touched the hearts of many, Dr. Harrington. Although I do not live in Charlottesville, Morgan’s murder has certainly reminded me that you cannot paint a face on evil and we all need to be very aware of our surroundings. I continue to pray for you, Gil and Alex. May you soon find Justice For Morgan.

  37. skyler says:

To everyone — I’m so far behind i feel I will never catch up reading posts —

observer, I tried to go back and find it, but I could not. I gather you have lost someone very dear to you, and I, too, give you my deepest sympathy — I feel sometimes that you are caught between the proverbial rock and a hard place. you are obviously employed in an administrative position at UVA. you absolutely must not compromise that employment in any manner — yet — yet — you have lowered the wall and shown us your very tender heart — take care, dear one.

Fish, i don’t know what your daughter did — but I know she’s a little guppy like her mamma, so I know it was wonderful and precious — just like you —
J2K, glad you are back — Acho, Total Am, — shoot — brain freeze — oh, mom.3.0 — bless your heart in going back over those vids — I don’t think the “thrashing” blonde is morgan, either — I think she’s the girl w/ the long blonde hair standing in front of red shirt thrashing arm guy —

Don’t you guys love our names ? Pickles, mr. Cheezit jumpsuit (I will laugh out loud in the middle of the day thinking about that, Blink, and my kid looks at me and says: what ? ) — i can’t remember all the others, but they’re funny.

I do hope Dr. H will give us some info — some solid factual info —

everyday i pray for Justice for morgan — and for my dog to come home.

i talked to someone in the dog license dept. today and she said she filled out a dog license for a border collie in the last 2 weeks, but their records don’t record dates and the only way to look it up is by the name or tag #, which she doesn’t have — i want my dog back !! (sorry, OT)

i also don’t want this house to burn down, and it looks like crises averted —

Rock on, BOC — my heart and best wishes go out to you all –

  38. Dar says:

Dr. Harrington please know we are all still here for you, Gil, Alex and Shiny girl Morgan. I know for myself I am sitting back recollecting thoughts, trying to fit pieces together, seeing if in earlier threads if something jumps out. Jumping back and forth between sites… Your family has been in my thoughts morning noon and night. I talk about Morgan all the time to everyone I know. She is not forgotten at all and we will see this through until the end. We will not leave you in your biggest time of need.

You family has been such an inspiration to me and has made me take a hard look at a lot of things in my life. I thank you and Gil for that. We are all still here, maybe not posting as often but are still here waiting for that piece of information where we can once again pick up. Your family and Morgan are forever in my heart.

Observer, you will be leaving on my sons birthday and coming home on my moms birthday…how cool is that??? Have a great trip and when you get back I will send my Morgan Rock to you. I thank you for accepting them for all of us.

Dr. H you and your family are all in my prayers. 241 J4M

  39. Red Ranger says:

I also am not leaving. Sometimes I have something to post and don’t because I feel it may be misconstrued as irreverent or trivial. Today, I am going to say something I thought of a few days back when reading the words of a grieving mother. Tell Mrs. H that Red Ranger said that the wonderful colors reappearing in your yard is for her to enjoy too. And, that it is OK for her to enjoy the coming of green.

I reckon she can have a spoonful of honey, straight out of the jar too, if she is so inclined.

Please also let her know that even though Morgan is listening to Hendrix, Joplin, Holly, and Lester & Earl in person anytime she chooses now, that I am sorry for y’alls loss and am aware it came way too early. My hat is off to you both for being the fountains of grace and character you have been since I first learned of you, Mrs. H., and Morgan.

    .. …. .

    O Red’R-
    hearty, heart heart-

    Hello -
I haven’t posted lately but I still read the comments every day. Morgan and her family cross my thoughts every day. People are still united in their quest for justice for Morgan.

I pray that someone comes forward with a new piece of info. I pray that someone thinks of something that someone hasn’t thought or connect the dots some how some way.

I have faith and believe that the killer(s) will be caught and there will be justice for Morgan. I pray that justice prevails and gives some peace to your family.

Please know the Harrington family is in my thoughts and prayers.

    Dr. Harrington
I want you to know that your beautiful daughter is never out of my mind. I think about her most of the day and I research and talk to others and I pray for you and your family always praying for justice for Morgan. I have so much respect for you and for Gil. I sometimes feel like it has become a large family. Your Daughter and your family have shown the world what love is. You have been an example to so many. Dr Harrington we are not going to forget Morgan ever and we will not stop looking until the people that did this to your shiny girl are arrested. Please believe this. There are many wonderful people involved in this and to be honest I have not seen anything like this before. We are all here for you and Gil and Alex no matter how long it takes. Please know this. We all care very much. J4M it is going to happen.

  42. cvillenative says:

I also wanted to add that even though I have not been posting as much, I am definitely not losing interest in this case.

Dr. Harrington, we absolutely are not going to forget about Morgan. Her case and the apprehension of her murder are absolutely being talked about in the “real” world (as opposed to online). We will not let this go before the person who did this is behind bars. Don’t doubt that even for a second. You and your family continue to be in my prayers, and the person who did this WILL be caught.

  43. fish says:

    Dear Dr. Harrington:

As we have sent flowers and fruit and donations during your immediate time of need and although, not anywhere near Metallica’s amount, we will now personally add Two-thousand dollars to the reward! Maybe it is time. I do not know but I’m willing to try.
It is our oath and promise!
    Tell me where to send.

We also promise not to let Morgan’s memory fade from ours. I know the feelings of loss. I have talked here many times what moved me concerning your daughter. But yes, sometimes people for whatever reason want to be wrapped up in the moment. Whether that moment of missing is 3 hours or 2 days. And, sometimes they want to be also known as the “dead girl’s best friend”. Can’t tell you about all this. Just know that some are not in it for a long haul and it will be a long haul. It is absolutely crippling without a doubt, to see your loved one fade from view. You want to keep shouting it from the rooftops.

“She’s still here, remember her? She paid with her life!!!”

But, I need not go into the feelings of loss, confusion, despair, and frustration. You and your wife know them so well. Please just know that you are not alone. Alex is not alone.
I always know that you may be on this site and sometimes I post, like Blink once said, too raw. I only want to help. Want to keep my daughter, all our daughters and sons safe!
I don’t know what else to do?!

But, since I already think that I’m an authority on this type of a grief-stricken journey, I will be honored to continue to do what I can to help you both. I will ask to have reward donations mailed to where you tell me too. Is there a flyer I can print? Oh hell, I’ll just ask outright! That’s how I roll!

But remember too, I stay on this site because Morgan has become a “Shiny Symbol” of all those lost to violence. Sometimes, I think I post to much, almost to possibly annoying Blink. I withhold lots of times but then, I’m smacked back to reality and remember why I searched for your girl…She mattered to me and now, she is what matters to my very own kids. I also have the them writing on rocks for Morgan from all your friends here at BOC. They too, will make an appearance at the COPEley Road Bridge. Also, know that we do post, me a good deal, in private to Blink but we are posting. Sometimes, I think that if you were to read everything, you would ask for a “consultation” and consider me a “case study”. But with this being said, I keep on because I believe in Blink and all those on this site.
Please do not give up hope, keep the faith, believe in yourselves, trust in justice! They will not be the ones to desert you.

May Mrs. Harrington have peaceful dreams tonight. Let me take the bad ones for her, if just for one night! I can feel your pain and desperation as if they were mine all over again! Remember, I can handle them. A whole lotta therapy and faith, dear sir.

Much love and peace! fish & hubby

    HEY! HEY! HEY!
(loud, yelling “It takes a village” voice!)

Anybody got a company that would match hubby and me????
How about someone contacting Lamb of God and Gorja!!!!

  44. Moonchime says:

Dr. Harrington, Please know that so very many people are here and we will NEVER stop until there is justice for Morgan. It may seem that the posts dwindle sometimes, but I assure you we are reading and will never give up on your precious shiny girl, Morgan.

It made me happy to read the post you made today about your children collecting rocks when they were younger. My rock for Morgan will soon be on it’s way.

You and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers daily. We truly care about Morgan and about you, Gil and Alex. May there soon be an arrest made on the monster/s responsible for taking Morgan’s life.

    Big hugs,~Moonchime

    Dr. H:
I have only posted a couple of times. I continue to follow this site daily, and I have no intentions of leaving until Morgan’s killer(s)is brought to justice. I am continually amazed at your family’s grace and composure. May God continue to give your family strength. May you find the powerful combination of words needed to reach those that may harbor secrets.

  46. TJ says:

    Dr. Harrington,

I’m going to chime in here because although I have nothing new to add, I’m here. I’ve been reading and following for months, and I still read and try to think about what might have happened every single day. I rarely comment, but it doesn’t mean I don’t care. Just this morning I was trying to put myself in Morgan’s shoes (for the millionth time) to come up with a different scenario of what might have happened. Part of the reason we all connect with Morgan (and this has been said before) is that we have almost all shared that evening. We have all been SO excited about going to a concert of one of our favorite bands. For so many of us, it is such a tangible experience to which we can easily relate, and looking back it is so easy for us to see, how in our silly youthful invincibility, we could have been Morgan.

Regarding the case, it is frustrating for those of us who want to help but feel like the information has just run dry. I have scoured videos – I still search for them in case something new has been added – I have scoured photos, and maps, and facebook pages…I actually think I know how to get around North Garden, Crozet and parts of Charlottesville better than parts of my town (I’m from the midwest) even though I haven’t been to Virginia in more than 15 years, and that was for just a brief visit. I’m not alone and many others have contributed much more time than I have. But, frustrated as I may be, I still read here just about every day. I fall behind, and don’t catch everything, but I’m here.

Also, I want you to know…I have learned much from this case that I want to apply to the raising of my 2 little blessings. I have learned about safety and the lack of, and how you never know what might happen tomorrow (or tonight), and I have greatly appreciated your wife’s sharing of her feelings and perspective. Every day, because of Morgan and your family, I appreciate my family and my children more than I would have if I hadn’t heard of her. So, while I may not have much to offer, I offer that.

    TJ

  47. total amateur says:

    Dr. Harrington,

I have personally felt a sense of desperation regarding this case of late. I can’t speak for the above poster that you referenced, but in my own mind that is yet another plea for information. I just read Skyler’s post pleading for information- and I’m sure most of us feel the same. I’m sure you personally are not in a position to release information- and I dare not ask you to- but I will again say this: If LE has a solid POI or POI’s and are closing in, FINE. But if they don’t- they need to arm the public with knowledge. Not only for public safety, but to drum up more potential witnesses and leads. My biggest fear isn’t people losing interest, it’s that there may be a witness out there somewhere that hypothetically saw Morgan at a store, or getting into a vehicle- and has no idea they saw something because LE hasn’t released ANYTHING…and I fear that memory fading after 6 months.

As you can see from the numerous outpourings in response to your most recent post- everyone is still here. I think it’s just that we have gone over and over the same information, and people don’t have anything solid to go on, or any new ideas due to the lack of facts. I constantly try to PRY information out of Blink (just ask her)- and she tells us what she can, while respecting her sources.

On a personal note, you don’t have to worry about any of us letting Morgan’s case go silent. People here have genuinely grown to care for you and your family… and Morgan. It’s not just a passing interest in a case, I can assure you. She has become our sister, our daughter, our friend. We all want her murderer(s) to face the cold hand of justice- we want them off the street before they take someone else’s daughter. I also think it’s a huge part of the healing process for you and your family. We are all DESPERATE for you to have that. Your friends on BOC will be here until that day comes.

  48. total amateur says:

Does anyone know the identity of the UVA BBplayers that interacted with Morgan? It may be totally unrelated, but I’d sure like to know if their names are the same as the ones who were suspended for “conduct detrimental to the team” shortly after Morgan’s disappearance.

  49. total amateur says:

Blink, were there any fires other than the one on Sutherland- or any “burnt” areas uncovered during the course of this investigation. That is the second time you’ve made a comment about it.

There has been no direct tie to Morgan of any fire that I am aware of, officially.

  50. justiceformorgan says:

    Just venting…

I have no doubt LE has been doing everything they can possibly think of to find the person or persons responsible. I am sure they have been putting in very long hours and this case is on all of their minds 24/7. I have no doubt they are trying their very best and using all the tools available to them and have been doing so for the past five months.

The fact remains, however, that Morgan’s murderer is still walking free, most likely making plans to savagely brutalize and murder another young girl. A girl who is loved, is enjoying her life and is making plans for her future, completely unaware that her life will soon be over.

B, when I asked several pages back if the case would be transferred to the FBI at some point, you indicated that could be done at the request of VSP. I would hope that VSP is not holding onto the case because they feel transferring the case would reflect badly on them.

In my opinion, concluding they have done everything they possibly can and, in doing so, have provided the groundwork for a continuing investigation, is nothing to be ashamed of. Asking for a new set of eyes with perhaps more experience and more advanced investigative tools to take over in the interest of protecting the public is nothing to be ashamed of. However, letting pride put people’s lives in danger and leave a grieving family without answers is something to be ashamed of. I truly hope that is not the case and that they are closer to an arrest than we realize.
