Morgan Harrington Murder: Harringtons Debut Morgan Rocks

Charlottesville, VA- Continuing the crusade to memorialize their daughter Morgan and keep the public focused on the dangerous killer(s) still at large,  Dan and Gil Harrington will be meeting with media today at 1PM.

The meeting agenda will include the Harrington’s ongoing concerns for womens safety on and off campus, and their fears associated with the fact that there has not been an arrest in their daughters murder to date.

BOCMorganBridgePainting

The Harringtons are also expected to announce MORGAN ROCKS.

In response to a hand-painted river rock, lovingly and generously created and delivered to the Copely bridge by blinkoncrime.com contributor Skyler, containing the phrase “Rock On”; The Harringtons have decided to widen the trend.

MORGAN ROCKS

We are starting a “gathering of rocks” at Morgan’s memorial on

Morgan’s Bridge at Copeley Road on the North Grounds of the University of Virginia. When you come to Charlottesville and to the bridge bring a rock and a prayer to add to the collection. Leave both at the bridge!

Morgan, Gil, Alex and I continue to need your support and prayers as we wait for Morgan’s murder(s) to be brought to justice. Your support in raising society’s awareness of the need to change the culture of acceptance of violence against women and in so doing change the laws that allow these crimes to go unpunished.

Skyler’s slate rock was the first. A beautiful painted slate rock with an image of Anchorage Farm, Tibetan prayer flags and an angel rising to the heavens. Morgan, Rock ON!!!

Dr Harrington, Gil, Alex and Morgan,

You are in my thoughts and prayers every day and there is no doubt in my mind that this animal will be caught.

acho and others- re: security footage inadequacy or lack there of…I agree. Something is not right.
O/T acho – are you the self proclaimed beer snob? My husband is a home brewer so I have learned a lot of obscure facts about beer and brewing as I’ve watched his hobby take over our garage. There really is a lot more to beer than one would think. He has definitely become a beer snob himself.

Observer, thank you for responding regarding re-entry policy signs and postings. I can’t imagine that there is a sign at every exit point. Thus, my point regarding the no re-entry slippery slope. Do you recall if the re-entry policy was noted on the front or the back of your ticket stub? We’re you notified of the policy when your ticket was scanned? I have studied Granny’s interview where she holds up her grandson’s Metallica tickets and I didn’t see anything about “in and out privileges” or re-entry. Sky, what does your son say about this? Does he still have his stubs? Would he have been surprised to find out that he couldn’t get back in once he left?

I also wonder if Morgan *may* have had a shot at getting back in if she had her ticket stub in her possession. I have no idea if she had it or not. To this day, my husband is in charge of any and all tickets when we go somewhere. (even at the movies) I also hand him my ticket stub after we enter because I know I will lose it. I’m the type who can lose something within seconds of gaining possession of it; I am that absent minded. I wonder if she handed her stub to one of her friends or Dan C.

BIB, y’all. I’ll say it again. I haven’t seen a group of 4 people wearing all black in any of the videos or photos I have perused. Why? Because 4 guys in a group wouldn’t be caught dead dressing alike unless they had to, which means this quartet was wearing a uniform of sorts or the eyewitness made an error or a generalization when she described them. Also, when I pay attention to videos and pics I don’t see many people dressed in ALL black period. In fact, I see a lot of colorful outfits. This leads me to believe that these guys aren’t fans, concert attendees, students or athletes.

Dr. Harrington….WE. ARE. HERE. and will not leave you, Gil and Alex…..and we will be here until Morgan’s killer(s) are brought to justice…and after… for you all!! We have come to know and love your family in the most unimaginable way. God bless you.

Dr. H, My BOC friends have pretty much said it. I’m here; but I’ve been thinking more than posting.

  5. Gifter3 says:

    Dr Harrington,
My heart stopped as I just read your words.
I think we have all tried to reserve judgement on the way Morgan’s murder has been handled by VSP, UVA, JPJ, FBI and all parties involved. I had hoped against hope that more was being done behind the scenes and felt sure that you and Gil were privy to many answers that the general public are not. I sense by your comments that this may not be the case.

I am OUTRAGED that we live in a world where the father of a beautiful, young college student is brutally murdered in a major city in the United States -near a college campus, and yet NO ONE has any answers! This is WRECKLESS! There is a purple polka dotted elephant in the middle of Charlottesville, and everyone has their sun glasses on!! Are we just waiting until this monster kills again?

Dr. Harrington, just say the word, and you will have a multitude of people behind you, in any avenue you wish to pursue. I can be in Charlottesville OR Washington, D.C. in 4 hours TOMORROW!! I’ll take part in any forum you like, picket city hall, VSP, UVA, JPJ or march on Washington!
We will do whatever it takes to bring justice for Morgan, and to ensure the safety of other young women!! Just tell us what we can do immediately to make this happen. We are more than ready!

    Sending love and prayers.
    Morgan will never be forgotten,
and we will never give up!

  7. Peapod says:

Dr. Harrington: I have only posted a few times, but like the others, I check this site daily. I have never followed a missing person’s/murder case before. This is different though. I don’t know if it is because I was a lot like Morgan at her age, because I have a child, because I get so annoyed when it becomes “blame the victim” time, because Gil’s journal entries are so profound or because I used to live in Charlottesville. But I think Morgan has become “everyone’s child” so to speak and representative of the fight every parent makes to create a safer world for our children. Morgan will never be far from my mind until justice is served.

  8. Megan says:

After reading Dr. Harrington’s post, I just wanted to comment. I have been viewing this site since Morgan disappeared. I have never posted, cause I don’t feel I have a lot of details to add, the posters on here are very thorough, and usually several steps ahead of me. But I check this site several times a day, and the FM site and read every post. I have not forgotten Morgan, I think of her every day, and wait for the day her killer(s) will be caught. The concern and love shown on this site is to be commended. Everyone working together to try to solve this brutal crime for the sake of Morgan and her family. Morgan has touched many lives, and I will never forget her. Rest assured, Dr Harrington, we are not going anywhere, we are still interested, and we will continue to pursue this case and keep it in the public eye until justice has been served. And thanks to you, Blink, for this site, and your tireless work on this case. Your compassion shines thru every time you post :) Rock on Morgan

Dr. Harrington and family: My thoughts echo those of my fellow BOC posters above. (especially Gifter3 – I will step up for any/every effort to find Morgan’s murderer.) Morgan is no less interesting to me now than she was in the months we spent looking for her. My family has grown accustomed to this strange addiction I have to finding more about Morgan’s case. I am on BOC EVERY day. Even when my son was hospitalized, I would slip out of his room to check this site for updates. I spend countless hrs. online researching leads, RSO’s, and other notions that come to mind. I talk to everyone I can about what happened to your beautiful daughter and I continue to long for a means of helping you to find this monster. I even have friends who now know that I am so interested that they will ask me “did you find anything more about Morgan?”

NO, WE ARE NOT GOING AWAY. WE WILL NOT BE QUIETED. WE WILL NOT SURRENDER TO THE DARKNESS.

  10. ode says:

  12. keekee says:

    dear harrington family and blink,

i have continued researching and reevaluating my personal thoughts about this horrible case. this has been a good time to dive into deeper research while newer posters rehash some of the old points and bring up some new perspectives. this should comfort you that there are new posters here at blink. the old posters are still here as far as i can see.

morgan’s murder was up close and personal and committed by someone possibly blending in with the masses at this very moment. i do believe as i have from the start that morgan was acquainted with this murderer. it would seem likely that the murderer may have thought they knew each other better, though i think it was a peripheral acquaintance only. my opinion continues to be that one or more of his family members strongly suspect or definitively know who he is. they may as well have personally participated in morgan’s torture and murder. my hope is that they may have a glimmer of humanity left enabling them to come forward with this information. if not, well then G-d help them.

it saddens me that i continue to think that at least two of morgan’s so-called friends have more intimate knowledge of what transpired that fateful night. this is unacceptable. there is one friend in particular who has connections to every person i have researched and/or suspected. although, there are a myriad of connections in varying degrees, i have yet to find definitive connections between morgan and the north garden house fire. this is a pivotal connection, i believe.

also, i want to say that morgan was not an uber angelic 20 year old girl. she was a beautiful, unique, maturing, normal young woman enjoying her college years. she is the product of a kind and loving and unique family. it is important that morgan and her memory not be elevated so much that we no longer see ourselves or our children in her. this crime can happen to any woman. rape and murder happen every day. women continue to be unsafe in our world. this is what morgan’s parents want the public to understand. morgan was not perfect, but that is what makes her and us human and alike. we must see that this can happen in our family. it is not always someone else.

that said, let me hold up dan and gil and alex harrington as highly unusual “victims” in how they have responded to their beloved morgan’s brutal murder. gil said that charlottesville has an opportunity to lead and teach the world in how they respond to this crime. uva and jpj have a unique opportunity to show their willingness to understand the gravity of the danger to our children today. so far, i see only the harringtons coming to the plate. of course, blink is right here, too, providing a wonderful forum for public consumption. but the harringtons are “shiny” as is morgan’s memory. morgan’s well-lived life does not tarnish her shininess one bit. it does not matter how she was dressed (not in bad taste at all), the choices she made, the wrong people she trusted, or if she drank or drugged that night. she is our child, your child, anyone’s child.

no matter the outcome of the criminal investigation, the harrington family will continue to make a difference and set an example of how we should all handle tragedy. they are smart enough to bring matters to civil court when the time is appropriate. they will not be played. changes have already come to interested people of this world who have been allowed into the inner circle of the harrington family grief. gil harrington’s pain wracked heart wrenching words have pierced our souls. we are forever changed.

harrington family! dan, gil and alex and morgan… you will not be forsaken. you will not be forgotten. you are molding the american psyche and collective view of the dangers women face daily and the inadequate responses to them. i stand with you as do the people i have met on this forum. thank you for teaching us.

Keekee, very well said, and I agree.

    Dr. Harrington,

I am also amazed that the $150,000 reward has not enticed someone to talk. It makes me think that the people that might know something are family members—they might suspect but haven’t quite come to terms with it.

I wonder if at this point (since no one has grabbed the reward) if it would be helpful for LE to release a “new” bit of information that would prompt those who might be in denial. Or those who are covering up or helping this heinous killer hide from his crime and continue to walk the streets of Charlottesville.

In no way do I think a missing girl is more interesting than a dead girl. To the contrary, your daughter’s brutal murder has left many of us deeply shocked and speechless. I am here every day and will be until your daughter’s killer is behind bars.

    Skyler:

I personally believe Morgan is all the way down in front of the drumset of LOG. Like I said looking at your screen right to left. It is dan, amy, Morgan, sarah(she difficult to see).

I really thought Morgan was in front of Mr. Red-sleeved fist pumper. He remains in the spot through some of the videos of Metallica.

That is Dee S, at 3:08ish, with her crew.
The head-thrashing blonde to Dee’s right, I’ve ruled out.
Now, I would like to know if anyone has a shot from across the way, I do know at one time, Acho? maybe posted one.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YliWr2e5ufE&feature=related

I would like to go back to AF, for a minute. Location, of which Lt. Rader speaks of. The BG. We should drive that road at night and see how fast those gates come upon us. I’m thinking pretty fast. So either worked on AF at one time. Or is local to the immediate surrounding area. I mean immediate and I mean now! We have been over every house in back. Blandemar Farms. Do they have some sick rich kid being protected back there or is it just some hick, hiding a vehicle inside his crappy shed. I’m thinking that even if someone admitted to picking her up.

*Hey LE, let us all know! Why would he be bothered about admitting this? Oh, afraid of the big bad web? He is my suspect numeral uno! Just because he remains silent! What a puke. I digress. sorry

Ok, he picks her up, well how about letting us know where he drops her off? Don’t tell us who he is then. Just where she makes it too and like Sky said, “Card Usage”! Where?

And, the t-shirt…I still think too much of a coincidence that Mr. Brandon Shores, is at the Metallica concert and is the one that speaks to “The Hook” and states, his words now…
“I’d seen that same style shirt on other people, but I hadn’t seen it here”
    Why would he???

Plus, when he states, also his words…
“At first, I thought they were interrogating me!”
    Why would they???

    I THINK IMPORTANT:
***I think that this guy needs to be asked politely and with all the seriousness in the world, to look at those people or aquanitances, or even FANS! around him. Did he see anyone change? Does he know of a crazy stalker-type at his shows?

***Maybe there is some sort of connection right there! Someone jealous of his success? I’m just trying to sort out of all the people in Charlottesville, VA, this guy is not only the one that answers the door to LE dectectives but then speaks to “The Hook”.

***With that, is there someone with a tie to Brandon Shores and a tie to Michael Howell. Maybe they both are targeted for some reason. Who could be this person?

***Or both are involved in a peripherial way, due to the nature of their life choices.

Maybe LE is concentrating on this. How in the heck, would I know!

Sorry Blink, I didn’t use initials because their names are already printed out there. As are one’s statements.
    EDIT, if you see fit!

O/T: Chad: I’m trying to counter-balance myself. I’m listening to Michael Buble’ inside of Bret! Please I think that we all need to have a moment of clarity on this case.

I wish that we could divide the months up (said it long time ago) and each one of do what we can to research the details, as we know them. I understand I would be laughed right out of the “LE think-tank”, probably not “protocol”. Not her timeline but each month what was added from the view of the web. Many of us are on other sites. No personal feelings involved. I know, that would be a tall order for me. Morgan has become a part of our daily lives. My friends, we all have her in our lives…whether we post or not. I know some of us at a loss. But this really is not going away. Blink has proven this on her other cases. Listen to her on Dana’s show. She don’t give up.

“AN APPEAL TO YOU KNOW WHO!”

  15. Concerned Mom says:

I am gravely concerned that LE is not warning people in Charlottesville to be on their guard as Morgan’s MURDERER/s runs free. What can we do to change this? It seems like a no-brainer to me that until this monster/monsters are caught that the public should be warned on a daily basis. Is this not happenning b/c of the fear that it would “tarnish” Charlottesville’s good name? How tarnished will it be if another innocent person is harmed by these animals??

I continue to warn my daughter and ask her to pass it on to her friends. I will not let her go places I used to let her go. I will not take that chance and I wish other parents would follow suit b/c I am truly afraid for our girls in Charlottesville.

Long time lurker- Concerning video or close circuit T.V. inside concert venues- many bands have a rider in their contracts that video or close circuit T.V. inside the venue will be be turned off during the concert. This is to prevent the ‘bootlegging’ of videos from the concert. In the event the concert is being filmed for the projection screens many venues now have, a tape of the show is to be turned over to the band after the show so that if ‘bootleg’ footage shows up from that venue shot with those cameras, the venue can be held financially responsible. I have no idea if the JPJ arena has cameras or not. If they do, they may very well have been turned off if Metallica’s contract called for it.
    ——-

UVA does have what they call “Hoovision” for their sporting events in JPJ arena. They have their own camera’s and operators and their video board hangs right over the middle of the basketball court. I’m pretty sure though that they don’t use that for concerts though. And those camera aren’t stationary, I’ve been to numerous games there and they set them up prior to the game and then take them down afterwards.

But, the security camera’s in and outside of the facility should’ve been working. At least that is the assumption.

  17. doug says:

I have every confidence this case will be solved. Maybe not as fast as we all wish, but it will be solved. People know, but aren’t talking. There is no honor among thieves, or killers, and it’s just a matter o time before one of two things will happen. Either the evidence will build to a point that LE can make a solid arrest, (we don’t want a weak arrest), or someone will get busted for something else, and will talk to improve their own position.

Perhaps the accomplice(s) will talk, before the murderer silences them also. As of today, they haven’t figured out, that their own days may be numbered. If you’re a killer, what’s one more?

I’m sure there are others like me, who don’t often post, but read here EVERY single day. Hoping to find news of an arrest, or a break in the case.

    I share your confidence.

I posted this on findmorgan.com this morning in response to Dr. Harrington’s plea to keep Morgan’s case alive in the news.

Here are contact links to NBC29, newsplex (ABC, CBS), the Daily Progress, Cavalier Daily, The Hook, and Cville. What if everyone contacted them about the danger that continues to lurk in Charlottesville and the NON reporting of it. Perhaps we can get someone to raise the awareness that we have a HUGE safety issue and that we are not being warned as we should be.

    Dr. Harrington,

From reading past posts made here and on other sites by you and your incredible wife. I am under the impression that placing a lawsuit against JPJ arena and the University is probably the last thing on your mind.

However, if you really want to bring awareness to your daughter’s case, and make a change in venues across the country and hopefully prevent this type of thing from happening in the future. A lawsuit maybe just the ticket.

I have attended many concerts over my many years and since 911 the security in these venues have become to the point of being obnoxious.
So how is it possible that Morgan could attend this concert and not have one video shot????

Now I have never attended a event in JPJ, but at every event that I have attended post 911 1)No carrying anything on person other than a personal bag such as a purse. 2) No blankets, no bottles, if carrying a jacket that item would be patted down. 3) If carrying a purse that needed to be opened and checked by security. 4) Depending on the venue I have even had my person patted down.

With this type of personal contact being conducted security cameras are directed on these entrances to protect the venue from any claims of misconduct.

I would think that being JPJ is a fairly new public venue it would be equipped with all the latest state of the art security equipment.

So my question has always been; How is it possible for Morgan to be at this concert and not be on video. At the very least when she entered the arena?????

I won’t even go into the initial investigation made by UVA!!!!!

This is just a suggestion made with the utmost respect to your family.

Dr. and Mrs. Harrington and Alex,

You and Morgan are in my thoughts and prayers every single day.
Several hours a day I spend researching, trying to find anything that will bring justice for Morgan.
I feel your sorrow and of late discouragement, but don’t you worry we will not give up. Nothing worthwhile ever happens without endurance and energy and there is more than enough of that here with Blink and Morgan’s followers.

You know the story of the little engine that could.
The long freight train built for strong work gets stranded on a steep mountain. After others refuse he is ready to give up when a little blue switch engine takes on the challenge, and reached the top by drawing on bravery. All of us here are running on optimism and hard work just like the little switch engine. Don’t worry, for soon the Mantra “I think I can” will become “We thought we could”.

We have your back Dr. Harrington

Blink, post only if you think it is ok to.
I just needed to vent. I can’t express myself as well as most of your Blinkers, my emotions spill out. I just read the article about the priest molesting deaf children and nobody did anything to stop him. He produced many damaged people. An evil cycle. Making a sick society.
    To Morgans Killer:
Who could you be? What happened to any humanity, if any, you possess?
How could you kill a woman, a sister, a friend, another human being?
What happened to you to make you do this? Where is your heart? Where is your soul? Aren’t you afraid for your own soul? Who damaged you? Your mother? Your father? A priest? Who made you the monster you are?
    Do you even realize?

  22. Redrock says:

This is a very tough case. You have an unseen takeoff, a flight and a crash landing without a black box. Combine that with problematic witnesses and conflicting sightings, heavily weathered remains, a large pool of potentials, an event-related crowd of thousands, and presumptively intentional deceit and it’s just slow, tedious work. The answer may come tomorrow. And it may come in 10 years. Yesterday, I learned a brutal assault and rape that occurred in my community about 32 years had been solved with a confession from college educated serial killer Timothy Wayne Krajcir.

Very well said Redrock. Couple that with the fact the physical evidence testing is taking some time.

I hope to hell for the Harringtons and this community those results bring a positive hit.

I too am here every day — okay, truth, several times a day! Still thinking about Morgan and following every morsel of information. Don’t post because I have not had any great insight to share. But I do pray for the Harringtons every day and ask Morgan to help us find her killer.

So perhaps those of us lurking about should throw some ideas or info we don’t think is worthy. Maybe it will jump start something. So here goes…

I was looking to see if it was true that there were no pay phones in the arena. Someone posted a comment about it and I just wanted verification. Didn’t find it but did find this link:
    http://www.healthsystem.virginia.edu/internet/uvalink/construction.cfm

which seems to state that people working at UVA Health System park at the UHall lot. Interesting?

This also brings up a question I meant to ask before. I know that you have to pay for parking at JPJ. So do you pay to park in UHall lot? Is there someone checking to be sure people pay? I mean if I can park in UHall for free why pay to park in other lots?

OK lurkers, I am challenging you to post a thought, idea, question. Let’s show Dr. Harrington we are here!

  24. GnM says:

We are still here. We are still waiting. We are not going anywhere. The murderer must be caught.

Prayers for Morgan’s family and for LE working this case.

And I am also going to pray that someone comes forward and clears his or her conscience. Someone (aside from perp) knows and that someone needs to do the right thing.

  25. Melanie Romano says:

    To The Harrington Family,

Like many others, I am still here every day reading and pondering. I have two beautiful daughters like Morgan. You are in my thoughts and prayers each day.

  26. dew says:

As long as I am running at the mouth, here’s another thing that bothers me —

I realize that there are many reasons Morgan could be outside. I will even go with Morgan didn’t realize she couldn’t reenter. BUT… how can no one know the reason!!!

Did not one person including her friends ask WTH are you doing outside? As she spoke to people outside wouldn’t she have complained about her predicament? If she truly tried to re-enter, wouldn’t she have pled her case ie I wasn’t feeling well? Did no one listen?

Or was Morgan evasive about why she was outside? And if so what does this mean? Was she tricked and unclear why she was outside? If so, maybe this tragedy did start inside?

I have never been able to get past the fact that not one person has a clue why she is outside. To me it is like a big red flashing light — STOP — this makes no sense. Okay, someone tell me what I am missing!

  27. Dr. Harrington, Houston, Texas is here for your family! Could there be a (political?) side to the stand-still in this case? I think everyone sees some reforms in laws and procedures are needed. I do fear a brand-new group of other’s ‘baby girls’ coming to campus this fall. There are way too many RSOs and other violent crimminals thrown out into an unexpecting innocent community. Perhaps this could spur some needed changes (find the powerful authorities to step up), keep her case in the public eye, and bring a just resolution to her case. 1st: Morgan Rocks on Morgan’s Bridge, everyday and always!

  28. Becky says:

Dr. Harrington – rest assured we will not give up until someone is brought to justice for the murder of your beautiful daughter. I think about Morgan every single day and check BOC daily for any updates. I’ve kept my eyes and ears open since learning of her abduction, hoping to overhear something, see something, see HER until she was found. God bless you and your family.

  29. Kim says:

Well said skyler, justice, TJ, Yoshi and everyone. Agree with you all. I’m here multiple times a day, went thru Blink withdrawal the other day. If the silence is jurisdictional that’s unprofessional, let alone in a college town. If tightening the noose, fine. But if not, we need another biscuit, even a crumb.

Have any residences or buildings or vehicles been searched as a possible crime scene? Whether or not we can know results .. can we at least know if there have been any searches?

  30. alilcurious says:

I was just reading a news story on cnn about a man who hired a hitman to kill a 10 year old and her mo because he raped the little girl repeatedly and the mom and herself were the only people who knew about it.. it is apalling to think that there are such monsters out there in the world; however that case got me thinking… What if an ex of morgan’s was so obsessed and evil that when he realized that he has lost her forever, he really needed her to be gone as opposed to seeing her in someone else’s arms.. so knowing that he’d be a prime suspect he hired someone to do the dirty work, while he was 60miles away and in contact w/ Morgan on the night… and w/ a solid alibi. What if he was the reason Morgan left the arena to just find herself all alone, while the ‘hitman’ was watching interact w/ numerous people to make it seem like she was out of it or just accidentally outside… maybe the whole thing was a well thought out ploy to get everyone confused and on the wrong track. Then the purse is brought back or even thrown out the car window before the actual assault takes place. The tshirt is later thrown over some bushes to further mislead LE and the public and finally, to be on the safe side, the body is left close to an RSO’s home in case it is found.
I know this is just as far fetched as any other theory, and that the ex 60miles away may not be in fact the case.. it cold be anyone for that matter… but I do think this is a possibility.. what do you guys think??

The other theory I’m circling around is the alleged disappearance of WT in the middle of the concert.. I don’t know if he could be related, but I do believe that if he was involved, the fact that he felt the need to come out and defend himself, makes him that much more suspicious in my eyes… no offense to anyone, but really.. guilt is one thing that makes you take drastic measures such as starting a facebook group or defending yourself repeatedly in front of a group of people that could come up with new ‘suspects’ every 15 mins.. so what I’m saying is that his claim to be innocent means nothing to me personally and it just causes further suspicion..

Dr. H, don’t worry about the seemingly less frequent posts on the web.. I am sure everyone is still interested in finding Morgan’s killer and helping you and your family get the peace you deserve. Warmest thoughts and prayers going out your way. 241

Dr. Harrington, I too stand with you and your family. I don’t live in Virginia and can’t take part in the Take Back the Night event you will be participating in. However, I will be participating in the Take Back the Night event in my local area on April 15 in honor of Morgan. I wish there was more we could do to progress this case and I know that anyone and everyone on this site will do whatever is possible to assist you in those efforts.

we have gone through a variety of simplistic, logistic, abstract and variable theories based on as much “evidence” and “fact” as we have been able to collectively surmise. off duty and on duty LE (UVA/VSP/Security) / Security / EMT EMS FIRE / Arena Security / to be looked at again. if the RSO in close proximity is not POI #1, then we much revisit again and again. may i suggest going back from day 1 of missing Morgan and looking through posts to determine when and where there is/was increase posting and excitement (positive and negative) based on theories and information … there have been periods of time where people were coming out of the woodwork to comment / quote during times when Blinkers / posters may have been getting too close for comfort.

You know, that is a very useful exercise. What I have found in this work, is that the newest, most reactionary news/comments both in the beginning and right after major developments usually give a vibe as to whether the info is warm or cold.

“If anyone is interested in this odd exchange watch the pole closet to the camera man keep your eye on guy in the cap next to/infront of the camera man- The girl and guy are first seen at 0:40 to the left of the pole-then thru 0:53 again at 1:00- 1:05 then you can watch her drink from the cup – talk to him- move away to stand behind the pole- move again, dance – then be pulled from view with the cup at 3:12″

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQbLA5k7xYs

Mom3.0: Odd exchanges but Morgan is outside of arena supposedly by this time. I think that this girl is moving to get a better look at Rock God, Mr. James Hetfield. The pole is actually cables hanging from ceiling. But she does look like she would prefer to not have him on her shoulder. But it is loud and maybe she can’t hear him. One thing you did make me think about…It seems no one knew where anyone else was that night but we have Dee S., never move. She is standing in that spot the whole night. Right up to the end. Having a ball! The way it should be.

Why can’t we get a location, location, location on Morgan?

Virginia State Police, specifically Lt. Rader, why can’t a photo be released? No descernable image? Just a location of her. Help us out here. We have a baby girl shown on TV, carried to her assault and eventual murder, pushed out there, no doubt for ratings, but out there none the less and we don’t have a shot to even say this could be Morgan Harrington? What do her friends say about their location(there’s that word again), inside the arena. Were they indeed on the floor or their ticketed section? And, oh by the way, don’t care if they all were wasted, trippin’, or drinkin’ a juice box!
That’s not asking to much, is it????? AND,

    John Paul Jones Arena:

“Paul Tudor Jones II, a 1976 U. Va. graduate, made an extraordinary $35 million commitment to the University of Virginias newest arena and was granted his naming request to honor his father, John Paul Jones. Mr. Jones has described his father’s life as being dedicated to four things: his faith, his family, the University of Virginia and basketball.”

How about you stand on the same morals and values that these men did and continue to do!

Love of family, love of faith, and love of your community, love of a girl who was abducted and violently murdered!
    (psssst…JPJA, I didn’t know her either!)

For those of you who want to read a little about JPJA policies, procedures, and background.

ATM located on upper level, section 314. fwiw, was this used by Morgan? or someone else using her card? Was she on this level sometime or always down on the floor?

    Dr. Harrington,

I live in Charlottesville and post articles and messages from you and Gil on my fb page often. I am doing whatever I can to keep her memory alive and awareness of this unsolved tragedy the best way that I know how.

When my kids were younger, they were so wild and active that I would pray to God to watch over them. My belief is that he is greater and stronger and could do a much better job than I. I pray that often now as well knowing there are so many dangerous people not only in Charlottesville, but everywhere. The best any parent can do is love their children and teach them from our wisdom. But kids are people and they will live their lives. God bless all our children and keep them safe from harm. And God, please give comfort to the Harringtons and families everywhere who have lost someone they love. And God, may your justice be done through the hands of LE.

  35. Kathy says:

    Dr Harrington,
We will never give up until this worthless excuse of a human being is caught and dealt with. Do not ever worry that Morgan will ever be forgotten. Someone posted somewhere that the ones who would do this to our children she become automatic organ donors instead becoming a burden to the prison system, I think that is something I would vote for. They don’t deserve second chances. You, Gil and Alex are in my daily prayers and I check on this site several times a day, praying they are caught. I still believe Morgan lead me to the CUE conference to help find Laura. Her mother found out Monday that she is alive but just not where she is at this time.

I am with you…please let us know what we can do.

  37. Judi says:

    Dr Harrington:

We are not going anywhere!!! All of us here at BOC have grown to love Morgan and your family and we will not give up, ever, until the person or persons who did the horrible deed is arrested and justice is served. We do this for Morgan, for you and for all of society who will continue to be in danger until the evil is removed.

Rest assured, MORGAN WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN !!! We are in it for the long haul !!

  38. Judi says:

Dr Harrington’s comments just reinforce what we have all been saying -WHY IS LE NOT ISSUING A WARNING THAT THERE IS A DANGER TO WOMEN IN THIS AREA??

It is truly baffeling as to why LE has not taken the necessary steps to keep other women living in the same community with this evil safe.

What is going on here? What could LE be possibly thinking in not doing this?

  39. Susan says:

We are all here. I check the site at least once a day to see if there are any new developments that will bring us closer to catching the party/parties responsible for Morgan’s death. But there is only so much speculation and so much discussion we can do when we have no new facts to chew on. I think LE is doing a disservice to the investigation by asking for tips but not giving the public any type of structure that might trigger memories or theories. The case will grow cold if LE lets it. The more they trickle pieces of information out to the public, the more constant the brainstorming will be on sites like this. I am hoping that any DNA information that has not yet come through will reinvigorate discussions and lead us ultimately to an arrest.
Praying for peace for the Harringtons.

Sylvia Brown no good but time to call in the psyics. find some good ones.

  41. PamVA says:

    Dear Dr. Harrington,
Please know we are all still here praying and hoping that Morgan’s killer(s) will be found ASAP! At the same time we are wishing for a sliver of information to lead us down a new path.
I took my own little Morgan to a concert recently at JPJ. Your sweet Morgan was on the minds of people in attendance. I heard them in lines hoping that the monsters responsible would be caught very soon. I also heard them telling their teens that No they couldn’t go walking around alone. I found myself watching over young women at the concert to make sure they were sticking together. Please know that Morgan’s death has already brought out a silent force of people like me, watching over young people. We are ready, willing and able to step in at the first sign of trouble and knowing the first sign may be as simple as a beautiful, blond, shiney girl alone and upset.
    Sincerely,
    Pam from VA

  42. Susan says:

Recent frustration in comments on UVA articles seem to support a growing theory that UVA and LE are working at great lengths to keep information out of the public eye for fear of UVA reputation damage–not because release of information would jeopardize the investigation. If this is the case, wouldn’t the FBI have a good reason to take the case away from current LE?

    Comment:
“It somehow took all the way until her body was discovered that the story of the black Pantera T-shirt being found around 15th. and Grady to come out. Hmm.. What demographic lives around 15th. and Grady? This story likewise – somehow – has NEVER found it’s way into the Cavalier Daily. Finally, we have the state police asking UVA students to identify which fraternities have had parties at the farm where her body was found over the past few years – and who attended those parties.
So here it is folks.. The gal who claims she can ID one of the men with Morgan on the lawn that night is holding to her story, yet there is NO pressure for anyone there to come forward for a lineup or submit some DNA or anything of the sort. If a missing persons and now a murder investigation might give “The University” some negative publicity for even a moment – even if it ultimately clears people from suspicion – it is to be hushed/covered up no matter what.”

    Another comment states:

“As for the west range of the lawn, well, they’re just counting down the days till they can get their asses outta here and graduate. I dunno if Morgan was really partying there the night she vanished. There was only one sighting. But it was a sober woman at work who still says she can ID one of the men she was with. Imagine, just image, if this sighting of Morgan had been on the west range of, say, Hardy Drive or Friendship Cort (the projects). Just imagine how much everybody would have known all about that – and quickly they would have!”

  43. In Memory of Gini says:

Does anybody know what sort of vehicle WT drives? And what color?

  44. palerider says:

    Dr. H,
As Blink and others have said, Morgan is on my mind 24/7. I don’t post very often, but please trust that I’m here every day and night reading and praying and searching for ways to bring her killers to justice. Morgan will always be with me and with her extended loving BOC family. We will never give up!
Morgan changed my life! Never have I felt so compelled to see justice served, and to help find peace for you your family and your beautiful Morgan.
My prayers and love to you, Gil, and Alex.

If LE silence has anything to do with protecting the image and reputation of the very many institutes of higher education in the State of Virginia, It will backfire on them and nobody will send their children to college in Virginia. Period. The thought that this could be true makes me so angry, I don’t know how to express myself.

  46. Josie says:

    Dear Dr. Harrington,

We are here for you and your family, just as we have been from the beginning. Morgan has touched our hearts in such a great and inspiring way and we came to love her, eventhough we didn’t know her. The discovery of Morgan’s body just fed the fire. I’m sure I can speak for all of BOC, as well as myself, in saying ‘We won’t give up!’ We aim to see justice for Morgan and will be with you every step of the way.

  47. Josie says:

I am with you Cosmo and dew. For the last few days, I’ve been going back and going over old articles and information. I think rehashing on Blink’s site is a great idea, if she is okay with that.

Blink thank you so much for all that you do. I’ve been reading some of your other threads (Christine’s and Caylee’s) and you amaze me. How thankful these families are to have you. I’m so glad that the Harrington’s have you on Morgan’s case, because I know you don’t give up. If I was your mom, I would be so proud of you, young lady, and I know she is. Here’s to you Blink and your never wavering mission!

  48. Josie says:

Forgot the i.(waivering) or did I have it right the first time? lol Oh wells.

  49. DesertGirl says:

Dr. H. – chiming in to add to the number of folks who want YOU to know we care and we’re not going anywhere. Like Doug, and so many others, I read here every day, often for hours at a time, waiting for an “a ha!” This isn’t about me, or any of us – this is about you and yours. Emerson said something so beautiful that seems to truly embody the underlying message in each of yours and Gil’s words: “What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.”

  50. concerned says:

Hi, I’m an everyday, keeps BOC open and refreshes many many times throughout the day reader. I have only posted a few times, but I’m always here. When I got home from the search back in the fall, I took my volunteer sticker off and without thinking placed it by my jewelry box on my dresser. I decided to keep it there until she was found. Then, she was found and I decided that it would stay there until she has justice. I doubt that I’ll move it even then. Morgan has become too important to me.

I was deeply touched by the coming together of a community to search for Morgan and I am touched by the continued support of the community (both near and far). Morgan has literally bought a world of people together.
