Morgan Harrington Murder: Harringtons Debut Morgan Rocks

Posted by BOC Staff | Alex Harrington,Anchorage Farm,Dan Harrington,Gil Harrington,Morgan Harrington,Murdered | Wednesday 17 March 2010 12:28 pm

Charlottesville, VA- Continuing the crusade to memorialize their daughter Morgan and keep the public focused on the dangerous killer(s) still at large,  Dan and Gil Harrington will be meeting with media today at 1PM.

The meeting agenda will include the Harrington’s ongoing concerns for womens safety on and off campus, and their fears associated with the fact that there has not been an arrest in their daughters murder to date.

BOCMorganBridgePainting

The Harringtons are also expected to announce MORGAN ROCKS.

In response to a hand-painted river rock, lovingly and generously created and delivered to the Copely bridge by blinkoncrime.com contributor Skyler, containing the phrase “Rock On”; The Harringtons have decided to widen the trend.

MORGAN ROCKS

We are starting a “gathering of rocks” at Morgan’s memorial on

Morgan’s Bridge at Copeley Road on the North Grounds of the University of Virginia. When you come to Charlottesville and to the bridge bring a rock and a prayer to add to the collection. Leave both at the bridge!

Morgan, Gil, Alex and I continue to need your support and prayers as we wait for Morgan’s murder(s) to be brought to justice. Your support in raising society’s awareness of the need to change the culture of acceptance of violence against women and in so doing change the laws that allow these crimes to go unpunished.

Skyler’s slate rock was the first. A beautiful painted slate rock with an image of Anchorage Farm, Tibetan prayer flags and an angel rising to the heavens. Morgan, Rock ON!!!

Dan Harrington

It seems important that whoever out there has even an inkling that the perp might be someone they know hear this: There is no POI! Stop thinking that you don’t have to get involved. Stop thinking that LE is about to arrest someone else, so you can forget about it. Stop thinking that even if it was them, it was an accident. There is no POI and her bones were shattered while she was still alive! BoneS, not one bone. Are you afraid to tell what you know? Aren’t you afraid NOT to tell?

It is also important that all the young women in cville hear this–there is no POI. That means it could be anyone. You are in danger. Listen to the Harringtons. Hear what they say happened to Morgan. Know that they said it at least in part to protect YOU. It could be anyone around you. A student. A local. A university employee. A musician. Someone younger than you. Someone older. Forget the profiles, it could be ANYONE–the monster could be someone you saw today. There is no POI and her bones were shattered while she was still alive! There is a bogeyman, and he visits cville.

I know this is redundant to what many have written, but I just needed to say it. I wish I could scream it loud enough to be heard in cville.

Whoever did this to Morgan is sick and ugly.
Her shirt was planted to taunt. IMO.
You have crawled out of the bowels of the earth to reap havoc. You will cry to dear God when you have to face your community and bring shame to your name. Sociopaths hate prison, but that’s where you are surely going. I hope you’re sweating and looking over your shoulder, because this is not going to go away! Count on it!

I’m just sickened after reading that Gil saw her daughter’s SHATTERED bones, and I don’t really have anything to add. This may sound crazy, but when I read her words it made my forearms hurt…I believe that specifically would be my ulnae. I guess that is Latin plural for ulna. I don’t know why…I am a highly sensitive person with a vivid imagination and my ulnae are burning! Or at least my nerves are telling my brain that my ulnae are burning hot; at any rate I am burning up with anger at the psycho that killed Morgan. My imagination is making my bones hurt. It is sickening.

During Lt. Rader’s last press conference (February 4th, 2010) he said “The University of Virginia Police, the VSP, the FBI, the Albemarle County police, and Charlottesville city police have all been working on this case since October 19th, when we all came together”. Hmmm…I am guessing that either the Charlottesville police department or the University of Virginia police department responded to the call about the found Pantera tee shirt, which probably occurred in late October or early November. Maybe they neglected to tell the VSP about the response. I am also assuming that the Virginia State Police chastised the responding department. I am also guessing that the response was less than stellar in its investigative effectiveness, and that there was irritation on the responding department about being chastised by the Virginia State Police over the response. I sincerely hope there isn’t a pissing contest getting in the way of an investigation here.

OK, this is gross, but here goes:
This is the first time I have heard B use the words “brain matter”. Was Morgan’s skull crushed? I know you’re not going to tell us, and what good would it do anyway for us to know? Just exactly how depraved an individual/individual(s) we’re dealing with? I hesitate to even call them people…individuals is the best I can do for the suspect(s).

Well, to go to bed on a lighter note, you wouldn’t believe how many kids that I went to school with growing up in the Blue Ridge foothills of NC said they went to the “liberry”. In high school we used to teach the foreign exchange students the wrong way to pronounce words like that. “Ironing” was “arning”. You get the picture (or the pitcher?).

This individual musst act with such a rage toward women’s. It looks like he didnt do that for the first time if he has such an anger to brake someone bones. If he knew Morgan we may assume that he would have covered her with something as we often heard in the past by such cases. So he dumpted her in the field. That sound very impersonal. But he knows the aera very well. He have to be in à fit condition if he carried her to this place. And if only uppon the fences to the place she rested. Or someone helped him. We can assume he lives nearby. He must be intelligent to disperse evidences at different places to confuse the investigation. Oh my God Blink it looks like with this new Information that Womens in this aera are Not Safe until this or those individuals are arrested. I find the fact that bones were broken change the Profile of this individual. It Looks like Morgan was not murdered at this place. It looks like it wasn’t something with Young Men or mens that grow out of control. There is somebody very ill outside and he may not look dangerous. I am so sorry for the Harringtons its so sad. I hope this individual will Be found soon.

What I feared most about this case has come to be true – sounds like Morgan was apparantly raped, tortured, beaten and then brutally killed and left on AF.

What a sad, sad, undeserving ending for a beautiful young woman so filled with life.

I cannot stand the thought of what she endured and shutter when I think of possibly how long she endured it, her fear and pain, these thoughts just physically sicken me. I cannot even imagine how the Harrington’s must feel. May God Bless them and help them through this most aweful ordeal.

We WILL find justice for you, Morgan. Come hell or high water, WE MUST!!!!

IF YOU ARE A LOCAL TO CHARLOTTESVILLE: Please warn every woman you know to be on the alert – there is an absolute evil monster roaming the streets and I feel he is just getting started. Gil believes he has offended before and has just taken his “acts” to a new level. No one can predict what he will do next. Do not go any where alone – ANY WHERE, carry mace, be aware of your surroundings, trust no one, and please be safe!!!

    ________________________

Ohhh, Lily. I disagree. You can add SO much, in what you model for and say to your sons.

I am on a tear about the whole “viewing women as prey” thing that Gil Harrington mentioned after Morgan’s discovery. My very sympathetic husband tells me it is an age-old problem that won’t go away … a waste of my precious energy … and I need to focus my brainpower on a different approach to the problem.

I love him dearly, but I think his view is almost symptomatic of the problem. He is kind and treats everyone with respect. He is a wonderful father to our daughters, who are going to benefit in so many ways from his interest in and attention to them. But I still say, his view is symptomatic and illustrates this is not just a problem in the broken, troubled, “unenlightened” households–his complacency regarding a “timeless issue” is part of it.

We HAVE to change our girls’ expectations and standards, and we must model those expectations, maintain those high standards, in front of our boys. Household by household, generation by generation, slow and steady. Don’t fold your boy’s clothes as you teach your daughter to do laundry. Don’t pay her allowance to wash dishes and not ask the same of him, paying him for the “outside” chores instead. They can alternate.

My dad, perhaps more enlightened than he or I realize, did not want me to graduate high school without taking a shop class so I could change my car’s tires and oil. My mom argued against that and won. I would not be able to change my own tire if I were to get a flat. Mistake on my mom’s part, and I now need to correct it.

I am so disturbed by what I see online. It’s contradictory: in new media I see archaic images, embraced by those younger than me. It’s on good “old” media, too, of course, though more subtle.

Anyway, Lily, it feels insurmountable, but we have to tackle it in the tiny ways we can. There’s much you can do. Talk to your sons about Morgan and what happened to her. Talk to them about how they treat others, especially every female in their lives. Talk to them about what they’ll do the next time they see a woman in a compromised state. In that way, you are doing what you can to make a difference.

Off my soapbox now, as none of this is news to any of you, and Lily, I apologize for directing my rant at your very supportive post. Like I said on a different thread, I’m coming down from a fretful night’s sleep and trying to find ways to churn out the positive from the Harringtons’ nightmare. :)

Ok, how about the old theories (which I used to sort of dismiss) of Morgan getting hit by a car in the dark rainy night?

I guess the ME would know if the injuries were consistent with a car accident.

Otherwise, what? Defensive wounds on the arms protecting her face from a beating? Yikes.

    That’s tough to take.

Oh, Suz, good point — I didn’t think about that — maybe why Juliemooly’s arms were burning — I had to have some bones removed from my foot and when the meds wore off it felt exactly like someone was jabbing a hot poker into my foot — the pain was unbearable — Lord, poor Morgan —

Also, you are such a dichotomy — you have all this knowledge about cows, but you’re a technical writer — I was thinking about your question whether the cows would have stepped on her in that pasture — I don’t think the cows went there — Mr. Bass said he had last cut the field in Aug. and that in January, the grass was pushed down from the snow, but still tall — and only from his vantage point high up in the tractor seat did he see her — the cows weren’t in there eating the grass — and I don’t think any other wildlife was, either —

Man, this is one time I wish we were back in Biblical times of “an eye for an eye” — the only comfort I have from this is knowing he’ll/she’ll/they’ll get theirs in prison — I worked on several inmate lawsuits against the Commonwealth for not protecting them in prison — when there are violent deaths, especially against children — the inmates mete out their own “eye for an eye”

Hey, you dance to the music, you got to pay it to the piper !

  17. Judi says:

OK, it is time for LE to admit publicly that there is a violent, violent person(s) in the Charlottesville area.

LE NEEDS to put people on alert, they NEED to increase security at UVA and any other places that can be a hunting ground for women for this individual, they NEED to take precautions.

He/They may not have been caught YET for what was done to Morgan but LE has an obligation to caution locals and increase police presence until an arrest is made.

Black and white, pure and simple.

  18. Susan says:

What amount of force would it take for another person to crush a person’s bones? There must have been some type of heavy instrument used (sorry for the graphic speculation). I have to assume that the notion she was hit by a car and taken by the driver has been ruled out. How much longer is the forensic evidence expected to take? Praying for resolution, healing, and justice for Mogan and Morgan’s family.
I read somewhere this year that human beings are hardwired to seek patterns in everything they encounter. Apparently, scientists believe one of our most primal instincts is to find patterns. I don’t think Gil, while articulate and moving and so heartbreaking, will compel a killer to action or fear. The patterns suggest the killer hates women, has no parental love in his heart, and gets off on tormenting others. When I hear crushed bones, I think hatred, such powerful hatred for all that the sweet Morgan reflected to him. She was a pretty, privileged, youngster with a positive outlook. The pattern suggests he would lack her most outward and obvious characteristics and that something about her triggered his rage.

  19. alexandra says:

This type assault can’t happen inside a car, in the passenger seat.

  20. concerned says:

Like Lily, I also have 4 boys (ages 14-14 months). It is my duty as well as privilege to teach and instill in these boys (future men) to treat women with respect. We have to teach our children how to help themselves, how to deal with hurt, rejection and every other tough emotion so that not only do they not hurt, but God willing, they do not hurt others.

I hope and pray that no matter how hard it may be to accept that your child has crossed that line and done this horrible act, that you would do the right thing and protect the other innocent girls that could fall victim. That you would protect your own child from himself.

  21. Cat says:

I think it is important to note that Gil and Dan are scientifically mindful people. What they state at a press conference, almost certainly has scientific validity, proven by available evidence.

On another note, I am aware that statistical data indicates that “the body dump site” is RARELY farther than 170 feet (57 yards) from the “crime scene”. Meaning, Morgan’s body, at the time of her killing, was most likely not moved more than this distance. This specifies to me that the scene of the crime was around the vicinity of AF, either in a vehicle, or at another isolated place. If vehicle access exceeds the distance where she was located, she was most likely killed outside, making AF or the surrounding wooded area the scene of the crime.

I am a 40-something mom-of-2 who was so much like Morgan when I was her age. I have a 16 year old daughter…who is also much like Morgan and has the same beautiful blue eyes.

I BELIEVE in the power of prayer, sending intentions, positive thinking, collective consciousness. I go to church, practice yoga and incorporate various religious custom into my day. 25. DMB says:

This really makes me wonder where this murder took place. It seems to me it must have happened in a somewhat secluded place. If Morgan’s bones were breaking, I can’t imagine her not screaming (envisioning this in my head is agonizing). Is it not known if Morgan was killed at AF? Gil’s questioning of this makes me think that LE does not know.

  26. acho says:

    Oops, I guess I wasn’t finished. This’ll be it for a while.

I want to speak to the artists–be they musicians, sculptors, photographers, fire poi spinners–in Charlottesville:

As enlightened as you are, do you consider the contradictions you may present when you play and present women as objects on stage with you, or in your photographs? You do nothing “wrong” when you do so; I applaud expression and fun, I appreciate the female form, and all of that. This is America and I would never want your stage to be limited. I just want you to consider the contradictions.

Because right now there is someone out there who is sick, who cannot separate the objectified women onstage from the women who walk on Charlottesville’s sidewalks. He worse than killed–he tortured, then killed–the very sort of person who would champion your cause, your right to express yourself in whatever form, whatever way, you choose. I think he likes live music.

I want you to think hard about the people you know, the people you see before and after you perform. Who seems off? Who really watches the women? Who wants to be like you? Please. Take your critical thinking skills, think of the women you admire in this world, and do what you can to help us make Charlottesville—and the world—safer for them.

  27. ConcernedBystander says:

Judy says: What I feared most about this case has come to be true – sounds like Morgan was apparantly raped, tortured, beaten and then brutally killed and left on AF.
    —-
If the above is true, which am afraid it likely is, then it brings to mind the Harrington’s comment a month or so ago to the effect they believed Morgan was dead before the concert was over. The time of her last official sighting to the end of the concert is about 1.5 hrs. For someone to have picked her up after 9:30pm, taken her somewhere and raped, tortured and beat her then took her to AF, if AF was the second location, I would think that would take longer than an hour and a half – especially if the thought is that the perp showed back up to meet the rest of his party he came with.
Of course it is entirely possible that she was killed prior to the concert being over, but if we’re looking at someone who would’ve done all of this and then made it back by 11:00-11:15, then I think that would be an unlikely scenario.

I was watching the Western channel (I like cowboys) and How the West Was Won was on again last week. One of the scenes deals with the building of the tracks for the Iron Horse and I remember those huge “hammers” used to build the rails….I had a dream about one of those hammers lying in a wooded area – I think a boogey man was chasing me and I woke up up gasping and my dogs started barking – I guess I scared them. I rarely dream – or else I don’t remember the dreams…but what I read here today is really getting to me….Blink, if you want to just erase this and not post it it’s OK with me…at lease you’ll see it…

She was seen going in the direction away from the arena with 4 BIB that have never come forward. The limo driver saw someone following her IIRC? It is time for LE to come out and give us more information.
It still strikes me as very odd, there are no pictures or video of Morgan that night at all period. Very odd. Neither on any of JPJ’s security cameras nor on an individual’s camera. How is that possible?
Are there any pictures or video of any of the others that night?
I know VSP is dedicated but I would like to see them a little more aggressive

  32. alexandra says:

If it’s true and it was her leaving with the 4 BIB, then they were all 4 involved. One or the other would have said they were walking with her if they weren’t involved or knew that 1 or 2 of them were involved. For all 4 of them to remain silent (VSP?) then all 4 of them were her murderers.

  33. Löni says:

“it” may hear or play heavy.
“it” may be so confident in himself that it think he can fool LE planting and dispersing evidents.
“it” haunts or fish. What’s better than that for “it”
“it” is a very angry person toward womans.
    But “it” will be cought!

  34. crimewriter says:

Two questions. One, where EXACTLY is the West Lawn where the newspaper delivery woman reported seeing Morgan walking at 3:45am? -I wonder if her black tights were found with her. Also, as seen on the http://eyesforlies.blogspot.com/2010/01/morgan-harringtons-remains-found.html link, can anyone get creative and provide me a link to the correct spelling of the last name of the man identified as being “one of the nine’s” friends father who is an investigator/detective who is in the video and what L.E.A. he works for? My apologies if this has been covered in another thread.

  35. Kim says:

I apologize in advance if I’ve missed someone, but think about this. How many people were at the concert? How many people were there waiting to pick people up? Was Skyler the only one? Only the few ‘witness’ accounts of Morgan (let’s not even get started on video).

The newspaper woman’s sighting of the girl on the lawn. Not suggesting it was Morgan, but seriously, that girl hasn’t come forward to say “no, that was me and my buddies, false lead, please look in another direction”.

Maybe more people than I realize have come forward to LE and cleared certain things and just didn’t want to be public. It’s the way much of society is. If people that are not even involved don’t feel the need to help steer the investigation by announcing their presence to dispute a possible sighting… and they are ‘good people’… just been bugging me.

So who’s to say BG didn’t do his deed quickly and back to where he was expected to be. Especially if not pre-meditated. Again, too many crime shows.. but he got a thrill from cowardly overpowering a girl, escalated, continued his rage/thrill and sorry, but he could’ve had her in the trunk and returned to the arena. I suggest that if someone wants to wonder how how he could get back in time. It might be hard for some to go there… but I can see it. You have to remove yourself from the emotion and just walk thru it. He would be happpy, thrilled, breathless.. his friends might think “oh, smiley must’ve hooked up w/ some hot chick, he’s all sweaty and out of breath and grinning from ear to ear”. BG’s don’t appear to be what they are. Maybe some of our POI’s who have been happy lately… almost like a manic personality.

Without going to the Farm itself, I’m curious in a similar terrain… how close would a person have to be to hear someone scream? There is that hill, houses are far ways, alot of trees. If you’ve played there in your childhood, you know how loud and how close someone has to be to hear them. Although that is risky and I don’t think plausible. But… anything’s possible.

  36. juliemooly says:

To Judi and others who want to participate in the Morgan Rocks! project but don’t live nearby:
Today when I am walking my dog, instead of taking her to the usual spot, I will walk along the Meadow Creek and collect some pretty, small river rocks, spiff them up, and take them to the Copeley Road bridge memorial on all our behalf. I will try to place them near Sky’s BOC rock and take a picture of the memorial to share here.

I woke up this morning thinking “what the devil was that weird crap I posted last night about my ulnae burning?” but I can see that ya’ll aren’t judging me for my odd physical reactions to upsetting news of Morgan’s demise. That’s nice to know. I really hope like someone shared earlier, that Morgan probably went into shock when she was killed and didn’t feel the pain. I know that when I’ve accidentally hurt myself in the past, the worse the injury, the longer it took before the pain sensation ‘hit me’, so maybe she passed away before hurting. I hope so. It’s just so sad to even type that I almost can’t believe it’s real, but unfortunately, it’s all too real.

I suggest we all enjoy the warmth of the sunshine today after the winter we’ve had. I am sure Morgan would smile on us if we sat in the sun and listened to some music. I prefer reggae on early spring days. It sounds like summer. Peace to us all.

Certainly yes. This is what he does.

I also concur about patterns. Language and space perception are based on pattern recognition. This is how we think, and it is universal to the human race. There are a few exceptions where auditory environment becomes more important than the visual one, but overall it is all based on patterns.

When I heard the description I thought about her lying on the ground and being kicked. This can cause horrific injuries, and it is usually specific to skin head type perpetrators (always plural) attacking a sole victim, who is usually dependent on a wheel chair or otherwise handicapped.

  38. Josie says:

I’m having a hard time today coming up with words to say how Gil and Dan’s interview yesterday has effected me. I am sickened, enraged, outraged, hurt and angered more than ever before. I like others, I’m sure, had hoped that since Morgan’s body was found, that her death came quickly. I tried to make myself think that if she was sexually assaulted and then murdered that it was something fast, like strangulation, gunshot, stabbing. Those are all terrible deaths, but I tried not to let my thoughts go to beatings, torture, being chased and hunted down. Actually, what Gil said yesterday is very close to what kept trying to run through my thoughts and I would try to stop it. So, now we know. I’ve heard Morgan’s cries and screams while she tried to run away, at night, during the night, when sleep wouldn’t come for me. I’ve even, without wanting to, seen Morgan running away, trying to escape from the evil creature/s that did this to her. To hear her parents clarify that is devastating. I hope that Gil knows that when she lays awake at night, thinking, that she is not alone. She, I’m sure, has many of us there with her.

There’s no way to classify this spawn of Satan as human or animal. If there is someone that is helping them hide or is covering, you’re worried about how people will think of your family if they find out. Like Morgan’s mom said long ago, you can be a hero. If it comes out that you protected the one who did this, your family will forever be looked down upon in the worst of ways. But, if you turn them in, you will be a hero in the eyes of the public. People will sympathize with your family, that you have had one of your own commit this horriffic crime. Knowing that many have had family members that went far astray and committed things never dreamed possible. It will make you a hero and someone people can look up to because you had the courage and did the right thing. So, please do the right thing before this happens again, by his hands. Because odds are that it will. Time is running out, because the truth will be found, rest assured.

Judi, you are so right and everyone that wants to get the warning out. At this time, no one is safe. There is something terrible in the area, walking among you.

I have a prayer today. The statement yesterday that there is no suspect, POI, was really mind blowing and most devastating.

    My Prayer:
Please let this creature be found before another innocent like Morgan Harrington becomes a victim of this evil force. Give LE knowledge and the leads and evidence that they need to find them. And give LE strength as they pursue this abomination to the people. Give inspiration and strength to the persons who hold the evidence to come forward today. Please, let us see justice for this dear young woman-child who has been so brutally taken from her life here and those who love her so much. Comfort and strengthen her dear parents and brother each day, as they have to relive the brutal loss of their precious child and sister every day. What they endure daily is more than we, as humans, can even comprehend. Please, let it be soon Lord.

There is no doubt in my mind that Morgan’s killer is a bad, bad person, anyone who will rape and murder is brutal.
In no way is the following meant to diminish what Morgan had to endure, rather I offer it to potentially give slightly more peace of mind to anyone- Gil included- suffering from thoughts of torture and beatings.
It is possible to have your ribs and clavicle broken during the course of a rape/attack. Though painful and scary, it is a different experience than say being beaten with a baseball bat or having your arms or legs purposely broken as a means of torture.
Not knowing which specific bones were broken, this may or may not be relevant. However, I thought I would point that out.
Again, this does not mean that the person who did this is not evil.

I agree it is unlikely that he killed her and went back to a concert or party. Interesting stat on the site of murder and relationship to body disposal. How close to AF (or the field) was that rental house that had a fire? It is regrettable that all we have to go on here is what past killers have done and what humans do most of the time. But maybe those basics are important to help us focus, hone in, apply the few facts we have to what we can reasonably guess based on human nature and typical killer behavior. Fires are frequently used to dispose of evidence and crime scenes, as we have just recently been reminded in the Sheddy murder.

Just did a search for evidence disposal because of my above thought about fire (I wondered what is the most common method of destroying evidence) and I came across this bizarre link:
    http://ask.metafilter.com/7921/If-you-killed-somebody-how-would-you-dispose-of-the-body-without-getting-caught

And being a pattern seeking creature, it occurs to me that perhaps the perp was trying to pulverize the bones to undermine efforts at recognition. One gentleman in the above link recommends crushing the skull as much as possible. (I do apologize for this grotesque image) And perhaps the cow field was selected because manure smells awful and would mask the scent of a decaying body.
My thought is that the perp had nowhere to return to, other than home, after the deed, and no friends expecting him. I think he started the deed in the car, somehow got her somewhere private (his house would be simplest if he had an attached garage) then after a period of time, started the process of disposal, got interrupted or became panicky and suddenly had to get rid of the body in one fell swoop, hence the body and the clothes together in the field. Why the field? One reason might be it was within driving distance of where he lives and the travel time to and from fit the time frame he had to dump the evidence and the body, get back home, clean up and act like all is normal before he had to resume his expected routine (visit from relative or friend, due at work, appt somewhere). So then everyone in the couple hour driving distance has to ask themselves if anyone who is already odd was acting even more odd or assuming this deed satisfied something in him, acting more energized than usual, the next morning?

I am going to New Zealand to visit my dear 94 year old mum. When I am in Queenstown in the South Island
I will find a beautiful stone from the river. Stones from the Central Otago region are so shiny and soft to touch. There was a lot of gold mining in that area.
Dear shiny Morgan, all of us carry her with us in our hearts everywhere we go now. She has touched people from every corner of the world.
I pray Morgan went into shock and then quickly unconscious. I am filled with respect , admiration that the Harringtons are working tirelessly to raise awareness about violence towards women and children in the midst of their loss. Also waving a red flag to local women to take care because Morgans’ killer is still on the loose and could strike again at any moment.
Thankyou to the Harringtons and to Blink. Keekee I am glad my words spoke to you.
Peace and Blessings to everyone. xxx

localcvillegirl, yes, the cow’s pooping ability is amazing (must be part of the ninja-like abilities of cows discussed on an earlier thread). If only it had the sweet, pleasant (to me) smell of horse manure, but yuck, it is just nasty. Cows. Gotta’ love ‘em.

blue willow, interesting idea, but the shirt is said to be a rarer version,it would take some trackable effort,to buy a dupe ,imo.and then again affects the profile, what random hh pickerer upper, puts the shirt somewhere to be found or would dupe the victims clothes, and at this point, i say the profile is a bit unusual, uncommon elements, mulling it over.i get that your probably saying someone who knows would put a dupe shirt as a tip,or her actual shirt. its certainly a tip one way or another.

skyler, no mystery there really—my friend raises cows on her farm and I have spent lots of time there helping out, so i know a teeny bit about what they are like. And I guess I’m more of a corporate shill than a technical writer (think employee communications), but I have certainly done my share of technical writing.

    Blink,

A few questions if you can answer.

1 – Is EMH the only one on the Sex offender site being looked at? There are many sex offenders in Cville.

2 – It has not been confirmed, but in your opinion, do you believe that the murderer/s attended the concert and returned to the concert afterwards? It seems like they would be too distracted to try and get back to the concert and appear normal. Why is everyone so sure that he/they returned back to JPJ that night?

Crimewriter – The West Lawn is the west side of the Lawn. I’m not trying to be a smart ass – that is literally where it is. If you are looking at a map, you will see Ivy Rd. (which intersects perpendicularly with Copeley), which becomes University Avenue as you go east. That map might show you the Rotunda, or the University of Virginia, or the Lawn. The Lawn is the grassy area on the back side of the Rotunda. This is the original area of the grounds, i.e. the part that Thomas Jefferson originally designed and began constructing in 1819. The rooms and Pavillions on the west side of the Lawn are the West Lawn, and the rooms on the east side are the East Lawn. It is a busy area, and there are people through there all hours of the day and night. People do still live in the Lawn rooms and Pavillions.

My thoughts are along the same lines as DMB’s. With an attack this brutal, there had to have been a lot of noise. The attack itself may have been noisy, then there were no doubt screams from Morgan and maybe the perpetrator(s) themself. That rules out a populated area, and probably an apartment. There is the potential for a lot of blood splatter as well. Ever since we heard that there was a wealth of physical evidence recovered with the body, I have been convinced that the murder weapon was recovered as well.

OK, I keep debating whether to mention this again or not, because last time (sometime last year) the whole thread went down in flames of crapping on Blink for letting me post my “dream.” But here goes again.

From when I first heard Morgan’s story, the dream/visualization/thought/image/idea/call-it-whatever-the-hell-you-want that wakes me up at night, comes to me at random times, and made me follow this case, is this: Someone else wearing Morgan’s shirt after her death. Either a thin male or small-breasted female. There’s a little more, but I think that is enough to share.

I’ve thought this was of no use, except to keep me thinking about the case. A personal haunting of a sort.

But lately I’ve been thinking that may not be true. Just in case this really happened, who else was seen wearing a Pantera shirt in the weeks after Morgan was taken? What could it hurt for LE to release a picture of the shirt at this time? I just can’t figure out why they never have . . .

OK, beat on me if you like, but don’t give Blink shit for letting us post this kind of thing.

Off Topic, Blink I couldn’t agree more with you about instilling safety intuition in kids at elementary school level. In Georgia we have a program called (C.H.A.M.P.S.) Choosing Healthy Activities and Methods Promoting Safety that is presented to 5th graders (10-11 year olds)
The United States Secret Service has been kicking off a campaign known as Operation Safe Kids in various communities for the last year. They set up and biometrically collect children’s finger prints, digital picture, and there’s a designated space to place a DNA sample (several strands of hair with roots and follicles intact). For all the readers out there, please be informed if programs like this exist in your communities. If they don’t exist, Petition for your local law enforcement agencies to provide a program for kids such as these. Request for your local or nationally federal agencies to come to your local schools and provide the service to your communities.
