Kyron Horman Missing and Endangered: John Walsh on Today Show- “Media Will Solve This Case”
Portland, OR– Appearing on The Today Show this morning, John Walsh, parent of murdered child Adam Walsh, discusses missing 7 year old Kyron Horman. While the people of Kyron’s community are being told Kyron’s disappearance is an isolated incident, Walsh states the media will solve this case, as they do 99% of the time.
Although yesterday marked the end of the full scale ground efforts in it’s 10th day since June 4, Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office continues to seek leads and tips from the public. Recently, a list of roadways was provided to the media the MCSO is seeking any traffic video footage from June 3rd and June 4th. Did Kyron’s perpetrator make a dry run Thursday, June 3rd?

Continuing today, divers have been spotted along Sauvie Island being instructed by a Geospatial analyst. I know LE is trying to dupe the suspect(s), but the conflicts are driving me crazy and only make sense to me if we consider there’s an accomplice. In the same news conference, they seem to try to reassure the suspect that multiple interviews are normal, and also try to tell the suspect that the whole nation recognizes Kyron at this point if you go and about with him. They release pix of his glasses, like saying ‘Yeah, we know more than you think’ and we’re homing in on sauvie island. But also release a photo of Kyron without his glasses – that could only help if they thought he was still alive. Somehow it was controlled and known that the “Kyron is missing!” alarm didn’t go off at the school on the same day that Kyron was taken off the premises.
All these things only make sense to me if there are two people involved. I guess I also just want to believe it because that seems to be the best chance that Kyron’s alive.

Okay, dummy me googled the glasses but all I can find are articles and pics of what they say are replicas of the glasses. B, you think these are actually Kyron’s? Do you have an idea of where they were found? Maybe the Sauvie Island area? Poor little baby, if these are his now I have several scenarios running through my head of how they were dropped/left and I didn’t want to see all that yet.
I believe they are Kyron’s and I have no info on where they may have been found.

Searchers were searching the property across the street from the Horman’s yesterday? The Horman’s white pickup truck was removed sheriffs said due to “mechanical problems”?

LE never stated that they found the glasses. They did however, recently release a pic of a pair of glasses they say are identical to Kyron’s. Some people here believe those ARE Kyron’s and not a replica.

When I read about the search across the street,I thought of it as simply property. I know it belongs to someone,but I don’t think there was a house involved….just land. It sorta seems to be an augmented search of the Horman’s house in my mind.

Maybe Kyron’s photographer said to him, “Let’s take a picture of your tree frog set up without your glasses on”. You suppose someone was readying him for a grab so they would not drop his glasses and possible LE has found them in the truck/home when they should’ve been on his face?

I just “have a feeling” that LE knows, or suspects, who took Kryon. I think they r just waiting, and hoping the person will lead them to Kryon’s little body. I would be terrified to bring a child up in todays’s world. Nowhere is safe. How very sad. May God Protect the Children.

Eloise the glasses do appear to not have lenses however if one of the lenses was damaged then LE would remove the lenses before photo. This is not to say I think they are his actual glasses. I wonder if Blink thinks the other clothing were actual Kyron’s?

So the truck story has changed over time. here is what was posted at scared monkeys about this sighting. On the video (at link) the reporter says the truck driver doesn’t recall who was driving. Anyway, that was one account of this sighting.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A truck driver said he saw a child who resembled a missing second-grade boy on Highway 26 on Saturday afternoon.
David Vaughan said he was driving toward Portland when a pickup truck turned in front of him onto Salmon Berry Road in western Washington County. Vaughan said he slammed his brakes to avoid a collision with the gray or black truck.
He said he saw a boy in the front seat who looked like Kyron Horman.
“I saw this young boy looking out the window at me (with) a startled look on his face and that was it until I got home that evening. My wife and I were talking and we saw this come on the news, and it flashed that this looked very familiar to me — a very distinctive young man and I thought it was worth making a call,” Vaughan said.
Vaughan said he received a call back from an FBI agent Monday morning.
Multnomah County sheriff’s spokesman said investigators received more than 1,200 tips about the boy who was last seen at Skyline Elementary School in rural northwest Portland on Friday.

I think that maybe it was a message to the perpetrator that he/she left behind some evidence. It may be that there really is no evidence, outside of the glasses, but if the glasses were dropped during an abduction/struggle, the perp may be thinking about what else he/she may have dropped, that could be a clue to their identity?
I suppose it could be that the person who took him COULD still have him alive and be thinking he’s not as likely to be recognized without his glasses. Sadly though, with 2 weeks having passed, I think the chances that this child is still alive are pretty slim.
Unfortunately, the glasses (and their meaning) is just another example of how the facts, or lack thereof in this case, are oh so confusing. I suppose LE know what they are doing in keeping things so close to the vest; however, I can’t help but think that more public involvement might help to find Kyron faster.
As for the teacher, I believe her name is Christine Porter. I saw that mentioned in a news article shortly after his disappearance.

I don’t see the glasses in that link, but I have seen. I believe they have both lenses.
The glasses shown could be also a duplicate pair that the family kept at home. Many people I know own a duplicate in case one gets lost or broken, and many stores actually sell them this way at a discounted price to the buyer.

Ah! I found the pictures of the glasses. Honestly, I cannot say, but I think I see lenses. Strange that they posted a closeup pic of the make and color of the frames.
You know I just went and looked again, if you double click on the glasses pic, it enlarges. IMO, there is no glass. But, like Hulagirl said they could be a spare. I also noticed in looking at the other photos shown, he has on a different set of glasses in the other pics. These without the glass again IMO, are the ones he had on in the project pic. The old ones were thicker and more square. So, if these are THE glasses, could they have been broken and the lenses removed for photography? Or were they removed for fingerprints only. Hmm…
Blink, I’ve forgotten my screen name as I write infrequently. In looking at the FBI site a bit farther down than the notification on Kyron are fugitives. One, in particular, Anthony K. Dewater, a convicted sexual abuser of children (and former teacher’s aide for god’s sakes) is on the lamb and wanted from a 1990′s conviction on several counts of child sexual abuse. A google of his name netted a mylife or mysearch location of Corvalis, Oregon as a possible current or former address. The age is right; the convictions were in the early 90′s, so quite awhile for him to be under the radar. Maybe he’s hiding in plain sight? Corvalis is just down the road it appears from Portland. Connections?
As tight lipped as LE is being (as well as the family) it’s difficult to see where the investigation is going. The picture w/out glasses and the billboards sorta seem indicate that there is a chance he’s alive.(?) However, the blackhawk and diving search indicates otherwise.

FWIW I just viewed a ton of pictures of Kyron. Two miscellaneous observations. As a lot of you have also observed in his most recent pictures (he as being an older child) he is ALWAYS wearing his glasses and they are a necessity for him to see properly. The lens are always transitional lens. To be clear, dubs as sunglasses when they’re exposed to UV rays and darken to protect his eyes automatically..

Isn’t it possible that Terri Lynn was adopted and raised by Carol and Larry Moulton, was married for a time to Ron Tarver Jr (and had James) and then later married Richard Ecker, all before marrying Kaine? That would make all of her last names legitimate – and not “aliases.”

My 2 cents. First, Since FBI involvement, you can bet that if this was a predator he was there looking for an opportunity. Not the first time they’ve been there. This was planned. Probably blended in really well. I’m sure if this is the case he was watching Kyron’s step mother take the last photograph and leave. Their downfall will be that everyone else was taking pictures too. Probably got them on a background photo. From there the FBI gathered all those pictures and asked everyone there to start I.D.’ing people they knew. Probably only a few that could not be I.D.’ed. So they probably have some sort of face picture, but no name to go with it. Quite possible this child would still be alive and they don’t want to risk spooking this individual from the area. Certainly a lot of secrecy and I’m sure they have their reasons. I don’t know why they would call this an isolated indecent when a pedophile tried to nab another kid just 4 days later. Maybe to reduce public panic. My constant thoughts and prayers go for this child’s safe return. I have a 7 year old myself so this is really tough.b

I’d previously mapped the road request addresses and compared them to the cell phone ping area, and it looked like it pretty much covered the Horman house to the school to Sauvie Island. I thought it odd that it didn’t extend outside of the area. Anyway, my first post, but I used to live in Portland, and something about Kyron just really got to me so I’ve been following the case to an unhealthy extent, but I can’t help it. That kid is heartbreakingly sweet, I can just see it. I just hope with all of my heart that Kyron is being kept alive somewhere.
Also, I believe pedophiles and criminal sexual predators and be 100% rehabilitated. It’s a two step process. First you castrate them. Then you simply surgically remove their arms at the shoulder joint. Some might think this isn’t the way to go, but I have little sympathy for these maggots. I’m so sick of seeing kids killed or scared for life by these revolving door deviants. Something needs to be seriously addressed in this nation about this problem. How many times have you seen the news where one of these pukes sexually molest an kills a kid, only to find out they’ve had several priors for the same thing. Enough is enough.
