kindly know this is totally rumor (I’m starting it)
georgette was not in court today because he is searching for the bus of his choice which is designed to run over him but not mar his tatoo.

I don’t want a plea. This family has too many secrets that need to be told and proven in a court of law. This family needs to be behind bars, all of them.

    HERE! HERE!

  3. Muse says:

Jose Baez addressing His Honor Perry: “We asked to be present during the collection of evidence and were denied that right.” Since when is it a right for the defense to be present during a crime scene investigation?

I sure to love Judge Perry. No nonsense. “My only concern is that your client and the State of Florida both get a fair trial to resolve the issues in this case and the Constitution of the State of Florida and Constitution of the United States is abided by.”

    **Applause**

I have been working the last 48 hours straight on Kyron and Morgan’s cases. I apolly. I am just now reviewing the hearing. I am in minute 8. and I have moved closer to the bathroom and am sitting on a towel I am laughing so hard.

My Poppa always used to say.. I know so few people who have the ability to be embarrassed.

    YOWZA.

  4. Leslee S. says:

How in the world could anyone convince Casey to plea??? I just have a feeling that is the reason Lyon left.

  5. MJ says:

now let’s see…. Ms. Lyons is gone, accident reconstructer Macaluso is gone, Mason has got a couple of time consuming high profile cases in the wings, so that leaves LKB who has her own niche and….drum roll please… the omnipotent jose Baez left to hold up the fading glory of the dream team.
I think they might have a real shot at this if all normal court procedure is thrown out the window and whining and feet stomping is allowed. Today since Lyons was no longer being consulted via the telephone, it was pure Baez. He simply can’t let go of any perceived slight. It’s obvious when he’s still bringing up his problems with Strickland. His street fight mentality takes over, then he gets digs in at the prosecution and the sheriff’s office, the JAC or whoever has schooled him on anything. He still openly smirks and rolls his eyes.

The fiasco with Judge S. shouldhave taught him to be careful what you ask for but he’s too arrogant to stop himself. The evidence issue today was another. Seems like he thought he’d put a wedge in the set up by demanding a magistrate. All short notice, no clear idea of what he really wants to see..sounds like a stab at a delay. It would have been pretty amazing to secure somebody for a two day stint right away.

It also gave him a freebie to toss in his old standby beef that they weren’t given front row seats with pop corn for the crime scene processing. He has not advanced his stance since she was indicted. He has spent his time promoting himself, he’s an empty drum who will fit in well on some talk show. No need for credentials or smarts . He just needs to bumble his way thru trial but geez sometimes I don’t think he’ll be able to pull it off and he’s so pompous I don’t know if he can let one of the others be front and center.

  6. Muse says:

LOL Blink. I think it’s Mr. Baez who’s wearing the pull-ups this evening, handed directly to him by His Honor.

  7. claudia says:

Herself entered the court room this afternoon, and took that open door for a quick beeline for her chair. But, she remembers to do the swing/limp with the bum knee of hers. Or maybe this is a new way to walk in chains. Hope she had a panic attack when they placed them on herself today! Have a look at the wftv site. It’s almost worth the laugh!

  8. Joan says:

Oh Blink …wasn’t the video of the hearing MARVELOUS??!!

Jose was in rare form!! He’s still arguing about his client’s right to privacy in jail – when both Judge Strickland and Judge Perry have told him “FORGET IT” – but No – Baez still uses it as his Strategy #1!!

My favorite part – when Baez states that his client was knowingly taken to the area where she was subjected to the news flash – and filmed – listening and reacting to the notice of the finding of her dead daughter’s body …WHAT!!!???? NO ONE knew at that time that the body was Caylee’s EXCEPT THE MURDERER who placed her in that swampy area! Gee, Jose – thanks so for confirming that your client knew it was Caylee’s body when no one else yet had confirmation!! WOW can anyone spell slowly: LETHAL INJECTION!!

My next favorite part was Judge Perry intoning FOUR TIMES – like some exorcising mantra; BEAR IN MIND, MR. BAEZ …..And if Casey and Fruit Loop Cindy don’t now know how incompetent Baez is after that – then they’re even dumber than we all think …

Best yet though – Gigolo George yet again a No-Show …So was the GMA appearance where he still believes in his daughter …was that just smoke screen?? I mean – how many men accused of incest don’t not only react – but actually DENY the allegation??!! What – he was just “terribly hurt”?? Why – because it as true and he was outed?? Again – yet another Anthony who never seems to know the proper reactions to any of the accusations.

I just still pray each night and tell sweet baby doll Caylee that we bloggers are fighting and staying on this case to make sure that she gets her Justice …as all she is to her mother, grandmother and grandfather are media pay-outs (even copyrighting her name!), tattoos, junky jewelry! We will NOT let that be her legacy!

  9. MJ says:

Blink~ lol on the snarkgiggle. Without a doubt there’s plenty more coming !

The planets all lined up in some crazy way when all these players hooked up together. What are the odds?
The odds are Karmic my friend.

  10. dee says:

Barb, that statement “Cindy went on TV recently and said she only said that to make LE get there faster” Cindy didn’t have to add the stench comment EVERYONE knows that the police would have been there quicker then Shi! if a baby had been stolen from a babysitter….we know it the SA know it…that statement is just hogwash and she can defend it to the bitter end if she wants too. “Do they believe juries are just not intelligent to get that?” they think the jury will be DUMBER than they are…

Some want this to go to trial, I do not not, I want these fools gone I want Baez gone, I want Casey GONE….thank goodness they are dropping one by one!

Have a happy 4th…I am off to get my Flag Dress Altered!

  11. dee says:

My comment on Baez holdig steady in the “oh she is innocent” was merely about how his silly arguement hasnt changed and the lack of more savy words fail him everytime he goes to the podium…it is like Second Verse same as the First kinda thing, he has nothing new to bring to the carpet just the same ole Whine and Dance…

  12. chica says:

    sister
    that is tooo funny !!

  13. Sister says:

thanks chica, my attempt a being funny cause the snarkygiggles are getting to everyone lol

  14. Heidi says:

I want to scream!!!! Jose should not be a defense lawyer. A small claims lawyer, maybe yes. But I doubt he would want to give up his expensive suits for that. How on earth is his client going to win?????? I like Judge Perry. I like how he enunciates the issues at hand that cannot be overlooked (Example: “By Lethal Injection”). I’m sure Judge Perry wants to cut him some slack, but how much rope do you give a lawyer who needs to build more character and self confidence for his own abilities, and not place blame for overwhelming media coverage that he himself authorized and condoned. Guess what Jose? If had let Cindy and George do all the talking and kept your mouth shut via media circuit, you would of been a whole lot better off and possibly have more respect and you do now. Ya think? Go fish.

  15. MJ says:

Dee, you’re right on Baez hasn’t changed his argument and for sure that savy words fail him every time.
Yesterday he asked for the special master which for all intents and purpose is again saying, we need special privileges, we want it now and we don’t want to follow normal procedure.
It was the most beautiful thing to listen and watch JP tell him that this case is NOT special and that there are other capitol cases. Baez better get crackin cause there’s going to be actual work involved now. The army of law students is gone but probably he has a few flunkies in his office too but he better hurry up and decide which way he’s going to WOW us at trial.

I’m dying to know WHO it is that he is so desperate to visit kc without being identified. I’m not at all convinced it’s the family, no way.

Blink just wondering if you had a chance to review yesterdays emergency session- I am curious to read your take on yesterdays proceedings and the demeanor /appearance of all involved. What says you -oh wise one?

  18. Mom3.0 says:

Kleat-I wonder if all of the Cindy’s letters are supposed to read like that- Same for George’s -If so, they are playing their roles superbly- JMO

  19. Kleat says:

Mom3.0, the comment that is so telling about Cindy’s control, is about the devil in the form of the two named male prosecutors. These devils are trying to bring justice to a horrifically murdered baby whose own mother seems to care nothing yet Cindy still cites the bible and puts Casey up there with the ranks of the most beautiful and righteous, capable of blessing bracelets and bangles.

Contrasted with Cindy’s taunts of her own incarcerated daughter, jibes to upset her, talk of pizza and cruises the family enjoys without the daughter, pictures of Caylee to the mother who has no feelings for the child or loss of her child, or her parents– Casey is in charge of seeing her family or not, she could decide to control herself in a video visit or phone call. Cindy doesn’t want Casey back in her life, Casey’s saga is Cindy’s ticket to fame and money once all is over for Casey.

  20. chelsea1515 says:

my take on that meeting is that! baez with his arrogant self stumbled all over himself being he usual repetive side. the man has no clue what he is doing or even how to conduct himself in court. he has alot (imo )he has alot to learn.
he is cocky and why he is I dont know because no one considers him intelligent or in control. he continues to test his limits its a wonder the judge hasnt said anything to him about his arrogant attitude instead the judge said that they both(baez and the prosecution) have personality problems. well I say its more baez than the state. I dont see them snickering rolling their eyes and acting like the fool that he truly is!!! he lack of wisdom/experience shows through and thru. wonder if he reads here?? popular opinion is the same of him.

Chica- thanks for sharing your heart felt insights- There were a few times during that rant where I actually thought Judge Perry was gonna just tap his mike and say testing testing is this thing on? Didn’t you hear me say enough?= “Bear in mind” Hope all is well with you Chica.

Kleat- Hi I see your point, Thanks for your response. You made me rethink things… I just am not that sure that those letters aren’t an attempt to paint the Anthony’s in the worst light, and Casey in a more sympathetic one.

What I mean is, why send those letters at all? They were obviously sharing letters back and forth through Baez. So why risk any media attention? – They won’t risk it in order to visit Casey- They won’t risk it in order to write anything pertinent or ask questions about Zanny or Caylee or the 31 days- But they write these letters, letters which basically back up each other, and cover some of the bad press-

IDK, Maybe you’re right and Cindy and George took a chance and wrote “real”letters that show how controlling and inappropriate they are, but I just can’t buy it. Not yet, but I do see your point maybe they are true and I am giving them all too much credit- it wouldn’t be the first time…

  26. MJ says:

My take on the G & C letters are that they were real. One mentioned that their covert mule (baez) couldn’t be the conduit anymore so grudgingly they’d have to follow procedure like the common riffraff.

IMO they were deperately trying to get kc to respond and follow the A pattern. No ‘mess’ had been this big before but the reactions are the same. KC commits some bad act, it’s exposed, Cindy reprimands, Cindy takes it from there and gives it a spin and then it’s forgotten.

This time it’s out of Cindy’s hands but she still wants the image of kc as the maligned scapegoat with her loyal family behind her, but it won’t play unless kc assumes her role as the momentarily sheepish player. Seems like Cindy’s persona is dependent upon all family members playing their parts. Also if Cindy is forward thinking she realizes that even if she can’t control the outcome this time, her financial future will be enhanced if she can just get kc to need and love her again. It reads a lot better if the troubled inmate turns to mommy for assurance and comfort. Dang it all, so far kc isn’t doing it, her heart belongs to her lawyer. Pretty sure he’s made absurd promises to her which include freedom, fame and money.

Everything that has gone down in this case seems like it must be incredibly clever but in reality imo, it’s just been wild luck and a bunch of people who have absolutely no conscience or guilt genes so they never get tripped up on pesky things like regret or sorrow.

  29. Thinker says:

The Inmate never fails to find something to make her smile and laugh at the Hearings.

At the last “Emergency” Hearing on July 2, 2010, both the attorney, JB, and his client, the Inmate, begin laughing and smirking and the Inmate is stifling a bust-out laugh, when Prosecutor LDB says the OCSO wants to video tape the inspection of the evidence, and the Judge asks “for what reason?”, then Ms. Burdick replies – to preserve the integrity of the evidence for trial.

While the attorney and Inmate show no respect for the seriousness of the issue, the Judge agreed and will allow the inspection to be video recorded.

While the attorney was at the podium speaking to the Judge, the Inmate was having FUN writing notes and smiling and laughing with JB’s law clerk. The Inmate takes her cue from her attorney and makes no attempt to show respect for the official proceeding, regarding the DEATH of her daughter.

  30. Thinker says:

IMO Cindy and George’s “mailed” letters to the Inmate (not the ones the attorney was conveying secretly/illegally) were a big “F-U” to the attorney. The parent’s attorney had just gone on TV and said that Baez was controlling the letters between parents and Inmate, and the parents refused to do it Baez’ way any longer. Cindy was letting the Inmate and Baez know that she was defying Baez’ rules and would be MAILING correspondence to her Inmate daughter, and begged her Inmate daughter to do the same and write back to her. Cindy and George were broadcasting to their Inmate daughter and to the world that they no longer agreed with Baez’ strategy, and that even Lyon said the parents/family should be able to visit the Inmate.

Thanks for everyone’s input on the letters. I think all of your perspectives are valid and plausible. Especially since Baez seemed so gungho on his outrage that the letters were released possibly to embarrass his client.

I really need to stop trying to understand their behavior. I would never want to be in their places, so I can never fully put myself in their shoes.

we should be glad he is representing casey with his enept lack of experience self!!
because that is what is going to hang her and strap her to the table for needle shot and bye bye world hello mr devil.

  36. Leslee S. says:

    Thinker:

Maybe JB’s law clerk was playing ‘hangman’ with Casey. Casey is such a stupid girl. I did notice her ‘lips sealed’ smile. Watching the law clerk engage Casey reminded me of what a parent in church would do to keep a child quiet & entertained.

Can you or anyone tell me why Baez would not me raked over the coals for passing letters between Casey & her parents? And why isn’t Casey in trouble for exchanging letters with the inmates? That is sooo against jail policy. I’m tired of these people making their own rules.

  37. Ragdoll says:

Mom3.0, the only other thing that comes to mind with these letters is….JB wants out too! I don’t think he’s so arrogant to believe there won’t be consequences. He’s blatantly flashing his carelessness like bling! I’m thinking….he wants to get caught?????? He wants her to plea???? These letters are sabotaging, imo. Baez knows it. What I’m concerned with is Casey appealing for imcompetent representation (is that the proper term)? I think the defense team genuinely wants to walk the plank and get this over with, too. The defense wants her to plea. My question is, have they had this talk with Casey or just hinted? Can u imagine if she has indeed said…NO PLEA?! <—- whole different conversation.

Anyhoooo…JP is a smart man. Don’t think for once he doesn’t know what Baez has been up to. He’s already voiced his opinion this case is moving at a glacial pace. He’s pushing forward and focusing on ‘gettin er done’. I certainly do not want to underestimate his honour’s reputation, intelligence or scrupples, especially where the law is concerned. I’m with the opinion that when this is over, JP will deal with Baez (or whomever oversees attorney ethics). I believe this whole heartedly! He’s got great emotional control over this case but he is not entertaining patience. The smaller issues will be handled AFTER the trial/plea,again, imvho.

Chica, I love that song too! It’s an all time favourite with me.

  38. Leslee S. says:

    Ragdoll:

I wonder if the reason that Lyon left is b/c she wanted Casey to plea.

I always thought that Baez made Casey believe that he could win her case & that was just part of the reason he wanted to keep her isolated. He thought that he was going to be a hot-shot in a high profile case…..he was going to be a winner whether he lost the case or not. Instead, his ignorance & inexperience of the law has him the laughing stock of everyone, including his peers. I do wonder how long he will continue to mislead Casey. And, if he does finally tell her the way it is, whether she will even consider admitting guilt….she will flip out, imo. And, too, now we know she has her fan base & her parents believing her lies, so…..no, she might insist on a trial. Cindy & George have done their daughter no favors, for sure.

  39. Ragdoll says:

    Hey Leslee S.:

I have NO CLUE what Baez was thinking when he took on Casey as a client. Was he thinking he could win? Was he thinking with a plan? Personally, I see an inexperienced attorney who jumped in head long, not considering anything but his big break. I would love to be the one living cell in his brain privy to his thoughts. Casey must have had him convinced of her innocence at some point because if Caylee had been found from the git go, no way he would have taken it on! The discovery of Caylee and the death penalty were Baez’s demise, so to speak. We witnessed Baez’s attempts to back track and spin the details but I don’t think he even predicted just how unqualified he really was/is.

…and I concur. Lyons probably wanted to plea but someone in that group won’t have it. I just wonder who that someone is.

He was thinking that his job was to make sure whomever she is connected to does not become known.

    e smooch back.

I agree and look forward to it as well.

But for Miss Caylee, the little girl that changed the path of my very life, I just want to buy a Mama doll for my office . I will not be doing that until she gets the justice she deserves, and the work on restoring her legacy can begin.

Also. with you’re comment of “He was thinking that his job was to make sure whomever she is connected to does not become known.”

What did you mean? Are you referring to “Zanny” or or you saying that Baez is connected to Casey through a third party, that he feels an obligation to protect?

    Help, Blink- I am lost??
    B

    The latter.

  43. Thinker says:

MJ – love your “group hug” post – agree completely.
I really enjoy your comments. You have such a way with words and summarize the “meat” of the situation in such a fascinating way!

  44. Thinker says:

Leslee S – I do not know why the Inmate suffered no punishment over all the letters written to the fellow inmate? All I can imagine about nothing being done about the breaking of the law to pass letters to and from the Inmate, is that maybe the proper authorities just have not received the evidence – yet.

IMO the evidence is public knowledge at this time, but someone must file an appropriate FL Bar complaint (I feel confident that this has been done by now).

The Inmate herself, wrote to fellow Inmate Robyn that Inmate Anthony had an American Greeting card “smuggled in” and a “make-shift friendship bracelet”. Sure enough — Robyn saved the Am Gtg card – it was later confiscated and turned over as Discovery and released to the public. Inmate Anthony wrote on the “smuggled in” American Greeting card that a “make-shift friendship bracelet” was enclosed. There is evidence of the “smuggling” of contraband (a third degree felony) right there, in Inmate Anthony’s own hand writing.

Inmate Anthony also wrote MANY times to Robyn that her attorney(s) – her “boys” – were smuggling letters to and from her family = proof of a third degree felony being repeatedly committed.

Inmate Anthony’s mother wrote in a letter which was mailed to the Inmate, that she could “no longer” have the attorney “GIVE or READ” letters from mother to the Inmate. Proof of the third degree felony in mother’s hand writing.

The attorney for the Inmate’s parents went on TV several times and confirmed that JB was controlling letters between the Inmate and her family, and not going through proper channels as dictated by jail rules and Florida Law. Confirmation that a third degree felony had been going on for some time.

The Inmate’s brother wrote in text messages to his parents that they were to meet up with JB and receive letters from the Inmate – proof of a third degree felony being committed.

The jail Inmate Handbook says that punishment for this third degree felony is $ 5,000 or up to 5 years in prison. It is a serious matter.

  45. Mom3.0 says:

  47. Anita says:

OK Wait a minute. Who called Baez to represent Casey? And this person does not want to be known. Blink your hiding something important.

Heh? What do you mean hiding?
    B

  48. Thinker says:

chica – anyone can file a complaint with the Florida Bar.
The complaint form is easily found online.
Usually, when a person files a complaint it is kept confidential until the Bar completes it’s investigation, then the results are made public.

The FL Bar is required to keep Bar complaints confidential and advises that one should not threaten a lawyer with a Bar complaint, nor make public that one has filed a Bar complaint because the lawyer who is the subject of the complaint could file a lawsuit against the person who made it public. It is best to wait until the process is complete and the Bar makes the info public.

  49. Ragdoll says:

(((((((GROUP HUGS))))))))))) back at you. I find great healing in kind words.

Thank you for asking my question Mom3.0 and for your response, Blink. Ok…I’m goin in…LOL. Who could be soooooo important to Baez that he’d be willing to stick his career and neck out for? Before you say it, I understand, you are unable to go into details B. Got it!

Hey guys, not trying to be glib or vague-
I am on record early on saying I do not believe Casey contacted Baez, I believe he showed up at the request of a 3rd party, who has not been named publicly.
